Actually no this gets it's own post just. The contrast between immediate post-war era Eichi and later ! Era Eichi or !! Era Eichi is just soooooo good because in Blackbird he's in this hospital room he's described as emaciated because he doesn't eat he completely shut himself off and refuses treatment because he doesn't want to live anymore and feels so guilty and horrible and then he gets this visit from Wataru and suddenly he has something to be alive for againbso his revolution doesn't go to waste and you can see that in how enthusiastic he is about rewriting that script of natsumes pipe dream together with Wataru and then somewhere along the line in ! Era during kenkafes he says that he's glad he's alive and just. In the ! Era stories in general he likes living he's still not letting himself believe people genuinely like him for who he is and he still feels horrible about the war (that doesn't change even in !! Era) but he doesn't want to die like that anymore and then in !! Era we have him and he's happy and he's still a workaholic who could take better care of himself but he has his fine now and they love him so much he's their beloved leader and they invented Eichi-days just so he would rest and he's healing and learning to accept the love and support he's recieving for what it is and. Head in hand I just love him so much guys the Character Development!!

OK FIRST CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE PARALLEL TO THE TRUST FALLS WHEN HE CATCHES CHARLIE (TWICE)!!??? Like she trusts him. They love each other. They're gonna be ok. Charlie never set out to do this but in saving all those other people she also saved herself and her dad and i love her for that. . ok can i be real with you guys for a sec. i like watching cats 2019. AND I ADMIT IT ISN'T A GOOD MOVIE AND DOESN'T PORTRAY THE MUSICAL WELL but i've never really been a big critic of movies so i just watch things for fun. cats 2019 to me is just a fun little thing to watch. and there are things i don't like about it obviously (cough cough. taylor swift) BUUUT in all honesty i just enjoy watching the movie and yknow. giggling at the silliness of it all and the weird choices made but still enjoying it. idk i don't really hate on it it's definitely not as good as the musical pbblblbt but it's still fun to watch. also i am going to say that i am probably very biased and blinded by my very strong love for this musical so anything related to it i just like by default generally but STILL. i just think it's silly. also there are parts i like. like skimble's song. and i don't mind mungo and rumple's song. and munkustrap was pretty good in the movie too

okok so first of all; general hcs !!

he likes art!! loves art!! this one is canon to me i just think he is so interested in any and all of humanity’s creative outlets and ofc art is the most prominent one. he loves all different forms of art — from sculptures to paintings to writing to video games (HEAVY on the latter btw i think he's so entranced by new technology) and so on.

and on that note!! i think he paints and writes himself :3 hes been alive for so long, learned so many languages, there's no way he didn't have time to pick up a paint brush. i think he paints to release stress!! and his styles vary but there's something mildly macabre abt all of his pieces. tends to gravitate towards expressionism above all else, especially the abstract kind.

i also feel like he sincerely enjoys ”bad” art like low budget movies and modern romance fiction and goofy video games…… he just thinks they're fun. def gets a good laugh out of them (this man canonically had a whole comedy phase he just wants to have fun!!)

and and and!! this is self indulgent as hell but i also think he cooks. there's just so much to learn when it comes to different cultures and their cuisine and i think they all interest him. but i hesitate to say that he's a good cook bc i feel like he’d make really weird fucked up food combinations just for the hell of it…. he's a freak. 100% the type to mix orange juice w black coffee just to see how it tastes.

i also hc that he has a soft spot for children, seeing as he literally carried and birthed one of his own LMAO... i just think he admires the innocence of childhood !! that childish and simple hope that adults tend to lose. he's very good w them too!! gentle and patient. and in geto’s body he has the softest nicest voice so i feel like kids gravitate towards him (i'm just thinking abt that One scene where he blows bubbles at a playground and all the kids chase them… they love him i just know he's a regular at that park)

OH AND……. idk if i’d call this a hc exactly but i just wanna see kenny in more feminine clothing. he literally has All the genders i don't think for a second that he cares abt gender norms. one moment he's in that tacky middle aged divorced father core hawaiian tshirt (he's so Me), the next he's wearing a purple floral dress or a puffy turtleneck <33 i just think he could pull anything off.

NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF……. relationship hcs <33333 hes a whole red flag but hes also my silly pookie bear just trust me on this

FIRST OF ALL he's huge on quality time. if he's in a relationship w u then that means he sincerely enjoys ur company and therefore has a tendency to just bring u with him wherever he goes. otherwise he gets bored and starts whining abt it (silly silly man) hes a lonely guy ok </3 i feel like he gets very sudden urges to explore new places / do new things and he’ll make sure you’re right there w him !! you’ll wake up in his arms only to find you're in a snowy forest or some shit and he just WILL not tell u where he's taken u bc its ”a surprise ^_^” LMAOO

he also takes on a teaching role in the relationship and i think that's where hes happiest !! gets a kick out of it but it's also kind of special to him. especially if you haven't seen much of the world, or if you're just a naturally curious person — preferably both. he just enjoys teaching you new things, leading you towards new sights, drinking in your expressions and reactions. it's precious to him. something to cherish.

ON THAT NOTE i think he has this unquenchable curiosity that gets temporarily sated when he tries to like . Dissect you. see inside your mind. it's like hes solving a puzzle that never runs out of pieces. hear me out riko but i see him as somewhat similar to makima, he's detached and has trouble connecting w people and handles you almost like a math equation….. but since he unlike makima is a human being, i think he still has the capacity to grow to care for you and treat you like an equal (or something close to an equal). he genuinely does love you, but he's rusty. kenjaku just wants to know all there is to know about you — every single thing. he’d dig into your brain if he could, but he’ll settle on just brewing you tea, listening to you speak about your fears, hoping it’ll give him the same insight.

he's a little possessive . kind of a Lot. idk i just think he feels a pang of jealousy when he sees u laugh and have fun w someone else (he's like a preschooler getting pouty bc his bestie is playing w someone else LOL) and that makes him Uncomfortable so he just waltzes in and steals u away w a smooth smile and a hand on ur waist. pretends like it doesn't bother him in the slightest but if u tease him too much he drops the smile and gives u a Look (it's scary as hell so u immediately shut up LMAOO) and god forbid someone else is like… teaching u something… a subject they're knowledgeable abt while u sit there listening happily to their rambling……..... ohhh he gets so jealous it's funny. researches that particular subject in frightening detail JUST so he can correct your little friend and teach u abt it himself <33 weirdo. freak.

also (this is extremely important to understanding kenny's character) he's both mother coded and father coded but in the worst possible ways.

he's mother coded in the sense that he's a smidge controlling, good at coaxing you into doing things outside your comfort zone, an expert at making you feel guilty by acting especially sweet and gentle, has the ability to make you cry w one disappointed look etc etc

and he's father coded in the sense that he's easily offended but pretends not to be, wants to see you succeed so bad that it's almost more for him than you, forces you to have really deep onesided philosophical talks at 2am when you just want to sleep, sucks at voicing his love for you out loud so he just buys a bag of your favorite fruit, cuts them into slices and calls it a day. etc etc. he's awful actually. i need him

but !!! as for more soft hcs i think he's honestly an affectionate guy deep down… like deep deep down but it's there. he just likes having u close. preferably touching him. not constantly bc that’ll annoy him but he wants you to stay near so he can pull u into his lap whenever. loves reading to u while u rest ur head on his thigh, playing w ur hair and lulling u softly to sleep <3333 (it's the geto kinnie in him) AND idk why this came into my mind but i think he likes nose kisses. just bc ur face scrunches up and he thinks it's cute. he can be sweet !! probably.

OHHH AND he loves playing board games w u <33 everything from chess to monopoly. he thinks it's fun + a good bonding activity but it's only fun in the beginning. he's condescending if u lose and petty if u win but he’ll still ask u to stay up w him all night just so u can finish the game (he's insufferable actually) if u decline he’ll huff and play by himself while shooting u petty glares until u feel bad and join him. then he's back to being all suave and calm and mature ohhhh i hate him

he wants to be the mature stoic indulgent person in the relationship sooooo fucking bad but he’s plagued by silly impulses day and night. he’s just good at hiding it. but deep down he is and always will be a silly nerd <33

and finally; i think that in a no curses au he's significantly less of a freak but still weird and obsessive and a lil mean. bullies u just a tinyyy bit and acts condescendingly sweet but he cares for u a whole bunch. probably struggles w showing it in a way that isn't too overbearing or mildly alarming… maybe through writing. poems and paintings of u… sculptures…. just wants to portray the beauty he sees in u (can u tell artist!kenny makes me go a little crazy)

overall hes a weirdo hes a freak (def wants u to kiss his brain just to see how it feels) and he may or may not be a bundle of red flags but i love him dearly <333 hes a silly goose. i want to study him in a lab

I AM HAVING FEELINGS ABOUT DAN AND PHIL AND I NEED TO EXPRESS THEM TO SOMEONE OR ELSE I WILL GO INSANE SO TUMBLR IT IS.

(TL,DR: @danielhowell and @amazingphil have grown so much as people and they're so happy and I'm EMOTIONAL about it)

I have been watching Dan and Phil for YEARS, well over a decade at this point. I'm now 19, so you can imagine how attached I am to these silly little men. Everything I have been through, they have been a screen away. Bullied? Dan and Phil. Major traumatic events? Dan and Phil. Struggling with my identity and subsequently coming out? Dan and Phil. Being open and honest about my mental health issues? Dan and Phil. Possibly autistic and trying to find courage to get tested? DAN AND PHIL.

I have quite literally grown up with these men, I saw them through pinofs, channels, radio shows, tours, apartments, books, DVDs, merch, mental health campaigns, comedy shows and coming out- and let me just say, I have NEVER seen them so HAPPY. Sure, there were some very good times and I will always love them but now it's a WHOLE different vibe. They are so happy and comfortable and free, and it's just so amazing- they're laughing, smiling and you can just SEE this light around them.

Over the years, I have watched these two lonely and awkward guys on the internet find each other and be friends and create this whole world. They have created so many wonderful things, both together and separately, and I just couldn't be more proud. And it gives me so much HOPE. Like, I'm not exactly the coolest person and like only one person outside of my family talks to me on a semi-regular basis, but these two guys are dorky and sweet and they FOUND each other despite the odds and have a HOME together.

No matter what their relationship is like, whether it be platonic or romantic or WHATEVER, they are soulmates. And I wholeheartedly believe that they are the prime example of "life gets better".

The newest baking video literally made me cry. Like, years ago, Dan would panic at the thought of putting on make-up and being openly queer, let alone dressing up as a sexy nun. And Phil would've never even THOUGHT about dropping an F-Bomb or feeling confident in his appearance, whilst making the gayest jokes possible. And that video alone just PROVES how happy they are now. They're being silly and flirty and being more physical with each other because they feel like they CAN now. In their own home and their kitchen (that they designed THEMSELVES), dressed up for Halloween and allowing themselves to be who they really are without giving a shit. And it's beautiful.

Dan and Phil have grown so much and you can tell how happy it makes them. And that gives me hope for my own future. And I don't know where I'd be without them. <33333

but what a fun question! for anyone who doesn't want to read my stupid long explanation for each character i will leave this tierlist here! all tiers (except the first tier) are organised by most to least liked within the tier from left to right

i have plenty of opinions though so i'll go ahead and give some explanations too!! >:D under the cut because there's a lot of rambling here LOL

some of the list is a bit boring because i cant really say i hate or even dislike any characters, and i don't wanna be mean about any characters just cause they're not necessarily my favourites so!

that being said lucifer pisses me off to a comical degree and he absolutely doesn't belong at the bottom but my feelings about him are so ridiculously complicated i don't know where else he belongs? i wish so badly that i could hate him in an uncomplicated way and move on but as an eldest sibling he's such a personal attack on me and i hate it. he's me, i'm him it's horrible. every time i start to think "ahh he's not that bad" he opens his mouth and makes me regret thinking that. i still think about the time i chose to kiss him on the ferris wheel and he held his hand out after and i took it and he said it reminded him of his dead sister, i will never stop holding it against him. he deserves to be loved and taken care of and he also should be thrown off a cliff. im quite certain if i had to assign myself a sin i would pick pride and i hate it >:( (this is all very lighthearted lol)

barbatos and solomon are typically equal on the list i'd say? but the barbatos brainrot is hitting harder now so he gets to be ever so slightly higher this once hahaha barbs is another that took a while to grow on me, not that i ever disliked him or anything but i definitely overlooked him at first! design wise i absolutely LOVE him, his demon form is definitely one of my absolute favourites. the unique but still put together suit?? the ruffles?? the bone wing horns?? ugh he's just very pretty, and SO interesting as well love a calm collected guy who totally has the potential to destroy you if he so wishes but has a soft spot for you

and of course, real shocker im sure, at the tippy top of the list would be asmo and belphie my beloveds <333 i love them both equally and i could never put one above the other i actually started playing obey me for belphie because one of my favourite character tropes is The Tired One TM, and im absolutely not immune to a cute emo boy either. i've grown to really love his sass and the way he hides his manipulative nature behind his sweet and innocent appearance hehe i also do love how ridiculously forward and blunt he is at times, what a silly guy while belphie was very predictable, asmo was a very out of nowhere character for me! i distinctly remember seeing him initially and thinking "avatar of lust?? i guess he's pretty but he'll probably just be the fuckboy character who makes nonstop innuendos and has no character beyond that, and i'm too asexual for this" so i avoided him a lot at first, but i'm very weak for how kind and gentle and charismatic he is, and the way he puts his all into everything and everyone <333 it didnt take long for me to realise that he's almost exactly the kind of person i aspire to be more like

What makes me sad about them: the Trauma™. It's so. Like. It's so fascinating how it affects them + their relationship. Akk's trauma, yeah, but also Aye? It's just so... I've written multiple fics mentioning it but like it just makes me so!!!! Their relationship doesn't make logical sense but they make it work? And it just makes me want to cry
