#they're playing animal crossing if you're not familiar

i've noticed a trend of games that are essentially just legos and let you build something pretty, like SUMMERHOUSE, Townscaper, or now Tiny Glade which just came out, but... like.... i wish they were actually games? they're such gorgeous, interesting demonstrations of procedural generation and tools and aesthetic sensibility, but they're not games! and it's so strange how all of them advertise themselves on their lack of gameplay.
no wrong answers, no rules, no winning, no losing--no game!
and i'm just like... why not game? why put in so much work to make something like this and not put in the effort of goals or challenges? you can still have your freeform jazz play with blocks game, but like... can't you give me something to do? something to unlock? something to work toward? soon as the novelty wears off and you're familiar with all the pieces, you're left with a bucket of legos and no idea what to do with them, and for some people (like me) that happens really quick.
why not include basic challenges? build a castle that can house 10 people, build a town that features these three items, build a house that this character with these preferences would like. just something.
you know what game about free form designing did that? animal crossing happy homes dlc. and we all went crazy for it. and it still gave you a ton of freedom to just play around! as long as you met some requirements, you could do whatever you wanted--and eventually you didn't even need the requirements (though coincidentally, that's when i stop playing)
i want to like these games, because they're gorgeous and do look fun! but i just know i'd boot them up and get bored in fifteen minutes because i'd have nothing to do

Pre-alpha Lancer Tactics changelog
(cross-posting the full gif changelog here because folks seemed to like it last time I did)
We're aiming for getting the first public alpha for backers by the end of this month! Carpenter and I scoped out mechanics that can wait until after the alpha (e.g. grappling, hiding) in favor of tying up the hundred loose threads that are needed for something that approaches a playable game. So this is mostly a big ol changelog of an update from doing that.
But I also gave a talent talk at a local Portland Indie Game Squad event about engine architecture! It'll sound familiar if you've been reading these updates; I laid out the basic idea for this talk almost a year ago, back in the June 2023 update.
youtube
We've also signed contracts & had a kickoff meeting with our writers to start on the campaigns. While I've enjoyed like a year of engine-work, it'll be so so nice to start getting to tell stories. Data structures don't mean anything beyond how they affect humans & other life.
New Content
Implemented flying as a status; unit counts as +3 spaces above the current ground level and ignores terrain and elevation extra movement costs. Added hover + takeoff/land animations.
Gave deployables the ability to have 3D meshes instead of 2D sprites; we'll probably use this mostly when the deployable in question is climbable.
Related, I fixed a bug where after terrain destruction, all units recheck the ground height under them so they'll move down if the ground is shot out from under them. When the Jerichos do that, they say "oh heck, the ground is taller! I better move up to stand on it!" — not realizing that the taller ground they're seeing came from themselves.
Fixed by locking some units' rendering to the ground level; this means no stacking climbable things, which is a call I'm comfortable making. We ain't making minecraft here (I whisper to myself, gazing at the bottom of my tea mug).
Block sizes are currently 1x1x0.5 — half as tall as they are wide. Since that was a size I pulled out of nowhere for convenience, we did some art tests for different block heights and camera angles. TLDR that size works great and we're leaving it.
Added Cone AOE pattern, courtesy of an algorithm NMcCoy sent me that guarantees the correct number of tiles are picked at the correct distance from the origin.
pick your aim angle
for each distance step N of your cone, make a list ("ring") of all the cells at that distance from your origin
sort those cells by angular distance from your aim angle, and include the N closest cells in that ring in the cone's area
Here's a gif they made of it in Bitsy:
Units face where you're planning on moving/targeting them.
Got Walking Armory's Shock option working. Added subtle (too subtle, now that I look at it) electricity effect.
Other things we've added but I don't have gifs for or failed to upload. You'll have to trust me. :)
disengage action
overcharge action
Improved Armament core bonus
basic mine explosion fx
explosion fx on character dying
Increase map elevation cap to 10. It's nice but definitely is risky with increasing the voxel space, gonna have to keep an eye on performance.
Added Structured + Stress event and the associated popups. Also added meltdown status (and hidden countdown), but there's not animation for this yet so your guy just abruptly disappears and leaves huge crater.
UI Improvements
Rearranged the portrait maker. Auto-expand the color picker so you don't have to keep clicking into a submenu.
Added topdown camera mode by pressing R for handling getting mechs out of tight spaces.
The action tooltips have been bothering me for a while; they extend up and cover prime play-area real estate in the center of the screen. So I redesigned them to be shorter and have a max height by putting long descriptions in a scrollable box. This sounds simple, but the redesign, pulling in all the correct data for the tags, and wiring up the tooltips took like seven hours. Game dev is hard, yo.
Put the unit inspect popups in lockable tooltips + added a bunch of tooltips to them.
Implemented the rest of Carpenter's cool hex-y action and end turn readout. I'm a big fan of whenever we can make the game look more like a game and less like a website (though he balances out my impulse for that for the sake of legibility).
Added a JANKY talent/frame picker. I swear we have designs for a better one, but sometimes you gotta just get it working. Also seen briefly here are basic level up/down and HASE buttons.
Other no-picture things:
Negated the map-scaling effect that happens when the window resizes to prevent bad pixel scaling of mechs at different resolutions; making the window bigger now just lets you see more play area instead of making things bigger.
WIP Objectives Bullets panel to give the current sitrep info
Wired up a buncha tooltips throughout the character sheet.
Under the Hood
Serialization: can save/load games! This is the payoff for sticking with that engine architecture I've been going on about. I had to add a serialization function to everything in the center layer which took a while, but it was fairly straightforward work with few curveballs.
Finished replacement of the kit/unit/reinforcement group/sitrep pickers with a new standardized system that can pull from stock data and user-saved data.
Updated to Godot 4.2.2; the game (and editor) has been crashing on exit for a LONG time and for the life of me I couldn't track down why, but this minor update in Godot completely fixed the bug. I still have no idea what was happening, but it's so cool to be working in an engine that's this active bugfixing-wise!
Other Bugfixes
Pulled straight from the internal changelog, no edits for public parseability:
calculate cover for fliers correctly
no overwatch when outside of vertical threat
fixed skirmisher triggering for each attack in an AOE
fixed jumpjets boost-available detection
fixed mines not triggering when you step right on top of them // at a different elevation but still adjacent
weapon mods not a valid target for destruction
made camera pan less jumpy and adjust to the terrain height
better Buff name/desc localization
Fixed compcon planner letting you both boost and attack with one quick action.
Fix displayed movement points not updating
Prevent wrecks from going prone
fix berserkers not moving if they were exactly one tile away
hex mine uses deployer's save target instead of 0
restrict weapon mod selection if you don't have the SP to pay
fix deployable previews not going away
fix impaired not showing up in the unit inspector (its status code is 0 so there was a check that was like "looks like there's no status here")
fix skirmisher letting you move to a tile that should cost two movement if it's only one space away
fix hit percent calculation
fix rangefinder grid shader corner issues (this was like a full day to rewrite the shader to be better)
Teleporting costs the max(spaces traveled, elevation change) instead of always 1
So um, yeah, that's my talk, any questions? (I had a professor once tell us to never end a talk like this, so now of course it's the phrase that first comes to mind whenever I end a talk)

Hello! While speaking with my friend about a concept for a silly little vampire story a question naturally arose; "Why do vampires, of all monsters, lend themselves so well towards humor?"
Hope you have a wonderfully spooky October!
Well hope you have a wonderful October as well!
Honestly I think all monsters lend themselves to humor in ways that haven't been fully tapped into, but I think vampires have that extra edge mainly because the main things that define them (needs to feed on others for sustenance, can't go out in the sunlight, immortal but can be killed in specific ways) are Rules. Rules and structure and consistency are things that you need to build a set-up, because you can't have a punchline without a set-up. Other monsters are more loosely defined, or have only a couple of rules that can usually be ignored, but you can't ignore the basic specifics of vampirism the same way. You can have a werewolf who doesn't turn on a full moon or due to weird birth circumstances related to the number 7, but you need to address the feeding aspect, or you don't have a vampire.
And the counterpoint to that is that vampires, while obviously they have aesthetic signifiers and tropes and Dracula-isms that people go to in defining them, are nowhere near as bound to their aesthetic traits as other kinds of monsters, so you can make anything and everything a vampire so long as you establish that parasitic aspect and the rules. If want to make your characters specific kinds of monsters you generally have to include the aesthetic signifiers that define them: Frankensteins generally need to be some kind of stitched-up corpse and/or giant, mummies need to have the wrappings or the lore, zombies need to cadaverous undead, werewolves need to be some kind of horrible animal (not necessarilly a wolf - Brazilian werewolves are commonly said to be more akin to pigs and boars, for example), but vampires?
If it's a parasitic monster that needs to feed on something otherwise it dies, and that something isn't just regular food, pretty much anything you do with them is fair game. The more out there you go with it, usually the better.
And because they're among the most popular unambiguous kind of monster (skeletons, witches, ghosts and aliens are there still but all sorta morphed into their own things overtime, vampires you still find at the forefront of every Halloween pack), everyone is familiar with what those rules are on the baseline, which means you have a much, much easier time doing jokes about the specifics of vampires than with any other kind of monster, and so it becomes more necessary to focus on specifics of the vampire's personality to make them stand out. Generally speaking, a Frankenstein is a type of character, a werewolf is half of a character when not in frenzied bloodlust, a ghost can be one or several characters, a zombie used to be a character, but a vampire needs to be a character, if you're not doing a Dracula pastiche (and even then) you can't bank on the shorthand as easily. It's a very competitive field.
Everybody knows the specifics of how vampires work, and so you get to play them straight or subvert them for comedy, and even make up new kinds of vampires out of twisting the premise around. A lot of what makes Colin Robinson from What We Do In The Shadows so funny is that, placed opposite a cast of fairly traditional vampires as somehow the most mundane personality as well as the weirdest freak among them, they can and do just constantly make up new shit about the way his existence and powers and biology works and get away with it, and constantly set you up for surprises more so than with the others. And they even still kinda do that for the others. All vampire media needs to place it's characters across a spectrum of possibilities.
Doesn't show up in mirrors, can't cross running water, needs to be invited into places, needs to stop and count marbles, needs to sleep in coffins, needs ancestral soil within said coffins to sleep in, etc. Needs to feed their blood to victims to reproduce, or actually doesn't need to do that. Can go centuries without a sip, or needs to kill a person every day to not die, or can just feed on cattle / the color red / other fluids. Can walk in the sun but weakened, can walk in the sun unbothered, can walk in the sun with careful skincare routines made from human sweat, instantly desintegrates if they play the desert level in a videogame, and so on.
Once you get past the baseline, you actually can get a lot more out of just piling up both weird new powers you never have to explain, as well as bullshit rules and specifics atop each other, because that's just how Vampire Lore works, and naturally each and everyone of those can be squeezed for comedy as well as horror. It's that old adage about how horror is comedy without the punchline and both need a dramatic investment into the set-up of how it works, before it can be torn down dramatically or comedically.
To be clear, I think this is something you can and should do more or less with all kinds of monster characters, but the thing is that, most of the others you do need you to go the extra mile and define them, what defines them, what if any are the rules and standards and limitations they live with. With ghosts and mummies and bugbears you do need to tug a bit at the concept and ask questions and walk your audience through some of those questions to get somewhere more than surface/aesthetic-based gags with them, where as with vampires, you can kinda skip a lot of that and just get to work pulling comedy out of the basic set-up and then subverting that.
Because yes, vampires live by codes and structures and rules, but there's also nothing we like more than telling those to get stuffed so we can do whatever we want. You need something to rebel against in order to rebel at all.

Apologies if something like this has been asked before, but what would you say are your favorite things about Fates? I’m curious because I actually like the games quite a bit, and I also enjoy hearing what other people like about them.
No worries, anon!
1-The Characters
Fates, imo, has a very stellar cast. Characters like Corrin, Xander and Takumi I've gone over already in how much I adore them, but honestly the vast majority of the cast is great! There's a few I'm only neutral towards, and only one I actively really dislike, the rest I'm at least pretty fond of. The first gen cast in particular I think does a good job at having strong character interactions, especially cross kingdom supports; the big differences between how citizens of Nohr and Hoshido respectively go about their lives is crafted with a very deliberate dichotomy that is initially platformed as something forever incompatible, but is then subverted in various points in all three routes.
2-The Gameplay and Content
The mechanics and game flow introduced in Awakening I think was finely tuned in Fates. Pair up being more player controlled leads to satisfying strategies, and reclassing and skills are less centered around grinding. I like how the cast more often than not have min-maxed stat lines with clear strengths and weaknesses, as to me, that supplements an already important aspect of how FE plays regarding it's classes. That being said, classes like bow users and Armor Knights got very good niches that were very needed to not be completely outclassed. Class sets being varied by supports not just for the children but also the first gen cast was a fantastic choice as well, as it encourages other combinations beyond just getting extra stats in pair up. Dragon Veins were an amazing interactive gameplay element, and added an extra way to interact with the maps beyond navigating around terrain. Lastly, each route has a bevy of unique content, mostly maps, but Revelation has lots of exclusive supports as well!
3 The Music
The game's ost is phenomenal. An underrated aspect of the FE series is how its music is used to convey the games' stories through sound. With map themes alone, there's progression and intent. Birthright, for example starts with the light and spirited "Past Light" track, before shifting to "Justice RIP" and "No Justice", both signifying that things are getting more serious and dangerous, the latter being notable in that it's a Nohrian track to go along with how you're now in Nohrian territory. Then the triumphic "Alight" only starts when you're in the homestretch, facing familiar enemies whom were beaten before and can be beaten again. And, again, that's just four tracks! The entire ost paints a picture, be it in gameplay, story, or supports. There's even an entire track that only plays when a character's about to die in gameplay, and only gets brought in cutscenes to show how dangerous a particular foe has gotten! It's immaculate. And of course, Lost in Thoughts All Alone is an amazing lyrical track.
4 The Art style and Designs
People can rag on how certain characters or classes are designed in this game, but one thing that I think can't-or shouldn't-be denied is that the cast and setting have presence; they're recognizeable and give a taste of what's what. Besides Hoshido and Nohr being the typical "white" and "black" kingdoms, Hoshido has more spiritual or outside the box classes; they have the resources to experiment and hyper-specialize in certain crafts, even having religious classes, merchants, and blacksmiths available for options. Nohr, meanwhile, has more armor and mounts; it's a kingdom trained to be effective at competition and warfare in order to survive, and must forgo experimentation for practicality. The game is also just very pleasing to look at, where the muted but varied color palette makes characters and locales visually distinct without being too loud. There's also a lot of neat animations that characters do in battle, many that lots probably didn't notice or haven't even seen, which to me showcases a deep care and passion put into the little things.
5 The Story
While of course, not everyon'e cup of tea, I'm extremely fond of Fates' narrative. Mostly because, in storytelling media, there's always more than just words to convey a story. It's why I listed the other points before this one, because they all contribute to Fates' narrative construction. Pull from map music to hear what the story wants you to take from it from that point in the campaign, pull from character designs and portraits to see what to expect from a character's personality at a glance, see stats, classes, and personal skills to see and put into action how that unit plays and interacts with the map they join in, take a moment to really examine the terrain of maps both for strategy and to take in the kinds of environments in the game's world. Fates has a lot to say-probably too much for its own good-and so efforts were made to say things without words being necessary.
Beyond that, I think the story itself is gripping and involves themes and symbolism very easy to get lost in though (tee-hee) about. Individuality and authenticity, rejecting status quo, pacifism, the cycle of hatred/vengeance, commonality and understanding amongst opposites, etc. Hell, I tend to get into my own head about how characters are written or how moments are utilized in the story to tie back into a theme of some kind, because there's just that much to unpack.
So yeah. That's that.
#queue#fire emblem fates#not to say Fates is perfect though#i think there's still could be some kinks ironed out#change around forging and weapon debuffs for example#and the some plot aspects can be a little cheap#but overall what works in the game I find REALLY works and I'm satisfied with that

FFXIVwrite2024: Hackneyed
Prompt #18, Entry #8
Masterpost
((Fal is a LTW specialist, and one of his fortes is making really cool abstract art pieces with leftover bits of leather. Some become useful things like book bindings, weapon sheaths, jewelry, etc. Some of them are just neat artsy things to look at. But they're always eclectic. Also Geva is the head of the LTW guild, if you're not familiar with crafter quests.))
"I'm not sure what you're going to do with all these odd little bits and bobs, Fal." T'Majaan leaned over to set a large basket of irregularly shaped leather scraps down on Fal's home workstation. As he straightened his back again, he caught a glimpse of the space underneath the station… which already had several similar baskets of scraps shoved under it, barely leaving any legroom for the Hyur to practice his leatherwork.
Fal paused awkwardly for a moment, noticing Maj's surreptitious glance before sitting down at the workstation. "Uhh, if I'm being honest I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, it just… seems like a waste to throw them out." he said, imperceptibly nudging one of the other baskets with the tip of his foot. "Just the same, thanks for saving them for me."
Maj sighed, crossed his arms, and gave a rather paternal shake of the head.
"Its definitely true that the leatherworker abhors waste, but even that damned harpy Geva would throw these away." Maj picked up a bit of sickly orange ziz leather between two fingers to illustrate his point.
"Most of them are too small even to patch a hole in a shoe. Plus, there's at least one score of creature's worth in here if there's a one, and you can't sew a piece of cloudkin leather to a piece of beastskin leather to a piece of gods-know-what leather and expect something to be durable enough for footwear or comfortable enough for clothing."
"…Who said I'm making those things?" Fal said, flashing a smarmy grin.
"I thought you said you didn't know wha…" Maj interrupted himself to wave one hand. Despite his tone and body language, the smirk on Maj's face conveyed that he was more amused this little proclivity of Fal's than he was put off by it.
"You know, nevermind. Just be sure to show me if you pull of anything miraculous, okay? You've really got me curious."
"Promise that if I do I'll be sure to call it 'The Benevolence of T'majaan Tia' then." Fal quipped.
"Hah, then we can both rub it in Geva's face. But if you'll excuse me, I have some monetarists to speak with and I don't want to keep them waiting because odds are they'd find some way to charge me for it."
Fal stood up and hugged the smaller man, and the two patted each other on the back amiably before Maj left through the front door.
Fal dumped the scraps on his workstation desk and sat there staring at them for a few minutes, before moving a few of them this way and that as if playing with game pieces. After a time he had perhaps two dozen that he had arbitrarily singled out, shoving the rest to the side.
They were a very incongruous bunch. …It wasn't the first time he'd done this. He was beginning to think he just liked looking at them for some reason that was utterly beyond him. And looking was usually all he did before just putting everything back in the basket and shoving it under the desk again.
Maj wasn't wrong… What in the seven hells was he going to do with these? He had wanted to say something like "I was a cast-off scrap myself and you took an interest in me" or "we have to honor the animals that died for these" or "I grew up poor, can you blame me for not wanting to waste things?" to make Maj believe he was pursuing some sort of noble cause, but they seemed like such hackneyed excuses. Heroic notions to justify hoarder tendencies.
He stared hard at the few pieces he's chosen, asking himself why he was so drawn to them. The circle of Smilodon leather that was a particularly rich shade of honey brown, the zigzagging strip of Titanoboa leather happened to be snake-shaped, the bit of chimera leather that had an interesting scar on it, the reasons were as diverse as the pieces themselves. And the ways they could fit together seemed infinite. Angular pieces crossed and parallelled one another and radiated into arcanima-esque sunbursts, curved pieces moved fluidly along with one another like ripples on a pond. Here bright Turali colors, there Gridanian earthtones.
Pushing aside all notions of "usefulness," he began to sew.
((Ugh. this one seems dull and forced and probably has errors… but it is inspired by me and my collection of feathers, bones, shells, rocks and other nature garbage that I keep saying I'll make something with and never do, so make of it what you will.))

The Grimm Variations | EP 1
Been debating to write some review type content on here for years, why not start now?
This chain of posts comes from someone who grew up with the original tales, as I'm German, but I'm pretty acquainted with retellings so no bias there.
Not spoiler free!
—
Cinderella
I'm honestly not quite sure what I was expecting, I didn't read a ton of the summary prior and the bit I read was quite a while before the show came out...
The style is what you'd expect out of anime these days, stable and pretty. Some visuals are really stunning, most emotions are well portrayed, etc. Even the gruesome has beauty to it, so that aligns well with the origins of it all.
Idea wise it's basically „What if Cinderella was actually a sheming mentally ill girl“ - which, in and of itself, is a solid idea and totally has my stamp of approval..
However, like with the other two episodes I've watched so far, there's a bunch of unexplained that just makes it feel incomplete, like the stories are a draft each for their own spin-off.
Cinderella just randomly has a talking doll, it plays into the old cliche of „Some people are just that way by nature“, gives no real conclusion or ending as the Grimm tales like most stories usually do.
The Grimm's have barely any involvement, despite their high value VA's and nice designs and the inclusion of the sister feels more like a unnecessary extra.
In short, though, it's definitely worth a try - especially if you're familiar with the originals, or as a starting point to check out the originals. They're both meant to provoke thoughts and reactions and however many times I've heard Cinderella and the other 2 stories - they definitely achieved that.
Please keep in mind that the episodes are more like short movies. All are around 40 minutes long and I wouldn't rec splitting them up in between.
The intro and outro are nothing really noteworthy, there's also no content really after the ending so you may just go on after the episodes are done...
If you struggle with dark themes, or gore, or emotional/mental manipulation, and the likes I might avoid the show. The second episode is especially heavy on the bloody, murdery aspects.
This is definitely a show for older anime fans. Some recommendations I can think of or cross-references - in case you need them - would be: Aoi Bungaku (retelling of old Japanese written classics), Kakegurui, Tomodachi Game, Mirai Nikki, Elfen Lied, Madoka Magica, Juuni Taisen. (& Yes, outside of Madoka I've seen them all). These mostly apply to episodes one and two!

Don't know if you still want Agata asks, but if so Imagine playing video games and cuddling with him. What are his favorite games what are yours.
Yes omg
Mine
Idek where to start but I LOVE horror games. ATM I'm replaying The Evil Within and I love it.
I love the Resident Evil series too. I finally got all the games in the series on Steam so I'm a happy camper
I love the mario party series too. I get so competitive, like dangerously competitve. Same with Smash Bros. Oh and also fighting games like Tekken
I'm kinda into a lot of Nintendo series. Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing ... I don't have my switch so I can't remember other ones
I LOVE roblox too. Idc what people say it's so fun
I've been super into Magic the Gathering too, there's a hot lion in there and im obsessed with him
Agata
I'm gonna start off with games I don't think he particularly cares for
I don't see him as being much of a sports game player (think of 2K games), strategy games (So he wouldn't like fire emblem 😭),
I feel like he would be inclined to playing a lot of games where he could really express himself in since he's always been kind of forced to be in this toxic mold of how a male lion should be
So he really likes Minecraft, Animal Crossing, games like that where you can build a lot... I can see him having a really elaborate Sims game too of all the lions.
I can see him being into horror games too but they're not his most favorite. Funny you mention cuddling.. because horror games = perfect opportunity to cuddle!! He'd really like being wrapped up in a blanket together and playing a good horror game. He's super good at them too and doesn't really get scared (meanwhile, I start panicking once I hear the music change)
I don't think he cares for FPS games too. He thinks theyre boring
He really loves party games. Is crazy good at Mario Party and always wins. He's super good at smash bros too and plays as the cute characters (Peach, Kirby, Isabelle)
I think when it comes to fighting games, he likes playing them if someone else is playing with him. Doesn't care too much for them otherwise (meanwhile i spend a whole day memorizing combos on my own)
He's also a a beast at Mario Kart. I'm decent at it, but I know he would always win
He like's Pokemon too. I personally never got into it, but I can see him being a big fan.
I don't see him being too much of a traditional card game fan. I'd love to show him Magic the Gathering but it's very strategy based and I can kinda see him getting tired of it
Playing with him
I can see Agata wanting to have dedicated times to playing games as a bonding thing and also to relax
He would love playing creative games with you so you two can make something together. Making a really dedicated plan for your animal crossing town and then working on it togeher. Playing two player and fighting the monsters there and just building things.
This is a self projection LOL but he also likes playing silly roblox games together and also making funny avatars.
He likes playful competitiveness in mario party. It starts off as a versus between you two and then once one of you is in the lead, then you start rooting for each other cus you don't want the computer to win LOL. Sometimes you'll play on teams together vs computers and putting them on the highest difficulty so you have to really work together to win
When it comes to horror games, he lovesssss cuddling, especially if he's playing and you're watching him. He also just loves when you watch him play and he explains the game to you. He also really likes watching you play games he's not familiar with.

Oh my God, RWBY is so amazing because look what a little independent studio of nobodies was able to create! Ten years, nine volumes, four original video games, three video game collaborations, two runs of Japanese manga, and an anime made by Studio Shaft.
Well I'm glad that you're still so passionate about RWBY, Sunder. To be honest, I thought this was sarcastic at first.
But yeah, even if I don't find the manga or anime to appeal to me, you have to admit that having so many other people willing to work on the franchise that was made by a cool animator and two drunk interns from a studio whose last claim to fame was a Halo fanfic is pretty damn impressive.
I think the pinnacle of coolness from RWBY's collaborations will always be Cross Tag Battle for me. It showed me Blazblue and how cool and well respected those games are, to the point that I can't help but see how it influenced RWBY. So seeing a crossover between the two is just so cool to me. Though I haven't been able to play it for...silly reasons.
Though I can see why Ice Queendom is seen as the true big name accomplishment, given that most anime inspired shows can't claim to have been adapted BY a big name anime studio. And when I called it 'basically high profile Japanese RWBY fanfic'- that wasn't a negative. It's very clear the people working on Ice Queendom did love RWBY and want to add onto it, which really helped the end product. It would not have been well liked in the slightest if it was just a 'for hire' job.
And really, I understand why it's endured. It did get lucky being at the right place and at the right time with the boom of anime in the 2010's as well as the name recognition of Monty. But I've always found the writing to be the best part. The actions are cool but what really gives the action the kick has always been the context behind them. The context of Episode 8 being the final step for the show to truly begin with the dynamics of the main teams being set up as well as Ruby and Weiss working together to take down the Nevermore is a great example of classic but effective writing.
And that's kind of RWBY's writing in a nutshell. 'Classic but effective.' The characters aren't new, the setting has a unique mix but the elements are familiar, the themes are...really fucking old, the plot beats are your average 'world threatened, coming of age story'. But RWBY is an example of WHY these tropes and cliches exist. Ruby is compelling because everyone wants to be strong enough to endure the harshness of life, even if we know we can't always do it. Weiss shows that you can grow beyond just your family and be your own person. Blake speaks to a lot of cynics because deep down, so many of them WANT to believe in better things. And Yang shows a light at the end of the tunnel when things go south, that you can use your pain and mistakes as a basis for growth. These aren't new ideas but they're ENDURING ideas.
I may not be as passionate about RWBY as I once was, but I'm certainly respectful of the show. Because I think the writers and animators have a good grasp on why people like fiction. And you can't help but respect them and the show for it.

(For the time being, I’ll just go by Timeline Kirby anon until I’m ready to un-anon ask)
Oh yes, some of those cross-era encounters will fuel several wake-up calls for tragic characters like Taranza who just wanted to help Sectonia.
On the gameplay side, I was thinking of one of three major approaches:
Traditional 2D platformer (tried and true method for every mainline game)
Newer 3D platformer (experimental with considerable success in BB and FL)
A potential JRPG style game where every character has their own abilities in a turn-based battle system similar to MA’s “Kirby Quest” sub-game while combining SKC’s stat-leveling system
(No, we’re not adding SKC Microtransagolor here. Magolor might have a playable/shopkeeper role, but not for real-money-Gem-Apple purposes)
Also depending on the “era” certain characters like Kirby and Dedede originate from, they could have certain abilities and traits that make them stand out from everyone else.
Different eras of Kirby for example might utilize different health-measuring gimmicks seen in the games (number of hits taken, health bar, number of Kirby clones in-play, etc) and have access to different lists of copy abilities (and their respective masteries of such abilities). While they each have similar base moves, each of them could have a specific trait that makes themselves unique from other Kirbys.
DL - No copy abilities, but can better utilize the Mint Leaf item
KA/NiDL - Star Rod
DL2 - Rick/Kine/Coo and the Rainbow Sword
DL3 - Every Animal Friend and the Love-Love Stick
SS/SSU - Can sacrifice copy ability to summon a helper
CS - Combine copy abilities to create new ones, can use Ribbon’s Crystal
AM - There’s four of them. Can use the Master Sword and Smash ability, can use a phone to gather other Kirbys
SqSd - Has a larger “on-hand” bubble inventory where he can fuse items and abilities to create new ones, copy abilities can be empowered with collectable scrolls (elemental weaponry copy abilities included), can use the Triple Star Staff
RtDL - Access to Super Copy Abilities
TDX - Can access Hypernova after finding a Miracle Fruit
PR - Can use Robobot Armor
SA - Can turn enemies into up to three Friends using Friend Hearts, more adept at performing Friend-based abilities (Train, Bridge, Wheel, Star, Star Allies Sparkler), can imbue elemental properties into several copy abilities, can sacrifice own copy ability to make a Friend, Can summon Dream Friends with special powers and interactions (?)
FL - Copy abilities can be upgraded into improved forms, can use Mouthful Mode
And that’s not even counting the higher spin-off games either.
...Aha! There!
I knew I had an ask of yours still sitting in my inbox, KTA! Yeah, totally left off in the middle of this convo... Sorry about that!
I was thinking, with how much more accessible/easy to work with game making engines have become, we could see a rise in 3D platformer fangames! I don't know how easy it would be to emulate FL's style in something like Unity or Godot, but at least there's a good model for it.
(I also think a diorama-style game, ala Captain Toad, could be a beautiful look for a Kirby fangame. Although you'd probably want to build that one from the ground up to be about puzzle solving. Probably with some diorama loving villain that used a magical artifact to chop Pop Star up into square dioramas!)
...But as we all know, I'd love to see a Kirby JRPG too! Since we've got all the different Kirbys from their different eras of games, I have to ask, are you familiar with the game "Live a Live," which just got a remake? It's one of my FAVORITE JRPGs, and I think you'll find it could be a good model for your story idea...!
By the way, I love how you're planning on re-utilizing the gimmicks from the older games (or turning the older game's traits into gimmicks!) They're one of those things where, its hard to bring them back into a modern game, where obviously HAL will want a new system that meshes with the overall gameplay experience, but some of them were SO GOOD!
Which was the feeling I got looking at your list! I know I felt a burst of excitement just at the chance to play with some of these abilities again! (And doing so either in a 3D adventure or JRPG setting?! Even better!)
-
PS: I think there's lots of humor potential in including a mischievous character like Magolor as a "shopkeeper" of some kind. Especially if there's ONE shopkeeper Magolor (different from the RtDL-verse Magolor) who *somehow* keeps finding the various Kirbys. (Or maybe he operates in some kind of sub-space that all the Kirbys have access to?) He could also trade stage collectibles for items like a sound test/gallery, upgrades etc too!

Unleashing Good Behavior: A Comprehensive Guide to Dog Training
Introduction
Dogs are family members, not simply house pets. However, occasionally, they may misbehave, bark excessively, or chew on inappropriate objects. That's the role that dog training plays. Teaching your dog etiquette is akin to teaching them to be content and well-mannered members of your household. We'll cover all there is to know about dog training in this book, from the fundamentals to more complex methods, all in plain, understandable language.
Understanding Dog Training
The main goal of dog training is to teach your pet appropriate behaviour in various contexts. It's similar to teaching them a foreign language so they can comprehend your instructions. Teaching simple movements like "sit" or "shake" is only one aspect of training. It also involves educating your dog to obey your commands and pay attention to you, as this keeps them secure and content.
Why Train Your Dog?
There are various reasons why training your dog is crucial. First of all, it aids in the prevention of behavioural issues such as excessive barking and jumping on people. Second, since you're spending quality time with your dog, the link between you two strengthens. Finally, it maintains your dog's mental stimulation and happiness, which are critical to their well-being.
Basic Training Commands
Let's begin with the fundamentals. These commands should be familiar to all dogs:
Sit: Your dog will learn to sit on their butt with this order. When you want your dog to settle down or before feeding them, this command is helpful.
Stay: This order tells your dog to wait for your permission to move before leaving. It's beneficial for your dog's safety, particularly when crossing the street or opening the door for guests.
Come: This command trains your dog to respond to calls for attention. It's vital for their protection, particularly if they're in a hazardous scenario or are off the leash.
Down: Teach your dog to lie down on the ground by using this command. It's helpful when acquiring a dog.
Our Online Training Guide
Positive Reinforcement
When teaching your dog, one of the most crucial things to keep in mind is to employ positive reinforcement. This entails giving your dog praise, rewards, or more playtime when they behave well. Positive reinforcement speeds up your dog's learning process and enhances your enjoyment of training together.
Patience and Consistency
Patience and time are required for training. It's important to remember that your dog won't pick up everything quickly, so be patient and persistent in your training methods. As your dog learns, give them the same orders to practise each day and show them patience.
Advanced Training Techniques
You can progress to more sophisticated training methods once your dog has mastered the fundamentals:
Leash training: Fun walks with your dog depend on his or her ability to walk politely and without pulling. Gradually extend the distance after rewarding your dog for walking along you.
Socialisation: Your dog will grow more self-assured and well-mannered by being exposed to a variety of people, animals, and settings. Introduce your dog to the outdoors at an early age by taking them to parks, beaches, and pet-friendly events.
Trick training: Teaching your dog enjoyable tricks like "rollover" or "play dead" will keep them entertained and mentally stimulated. Divide up the tricks into manageable segments, and give your dog a treat after every successful try.
Common Behavior Problems and Solutions
Sometimes, even the most well-trained dogs can have behavioural issues. The following are some typical problems and solutions:
Over-Barking: If your dog is barking excessively, try to figure out what's causing it—is it boredom, anxiety, or excitement? Give your dog mental and physical exercise, instil the instruction to remain quiet, and don't encourage barking.
Chewing: Dogs chew to ease anxiety, boredom, and the pain associated with teething. Give your dog lots of chew toys, keep a tight eye on them, and reroute their gnawing to acceptable objects like bones or toys.
Separation Anxiety: When left alone, dogs suffering from separation anxiety may act out destructively. Provide your dog comfort items like a favourite toy or blanket, gradually desensitise them to being alone, and, if necessary, seek professional assistance.
Successful impulse control in just 3 steps - child's play.
Online course for all dogs who don't want to wait and are bubbling over with energy
So that your dog never reacts impulsively and uncontrollably again.
your dog learns to wait
he learns to distinguish between action and calm
He will always give you priority in the future
Your dog learns to stay calm and respect your decision so that his impulses no longer get away with him.
Here he learns very quickly to shut himself down, even if external stimuli distract him.
So that your dog no longer freaks out impulsively, but can control his impulses - in EVERY situation. Easy and quick.

Prompt list from @peachycottagecore! I’ll be posting using #cottagetober2020 if anyone wants to join in or follow along!
Day 1: Sleeping In - Ned (714 words - I tried 😅)
The TV is scrolling through the Netflix screensaver when Ned wakes up. He shifts and under his pillow a chip bag crinkles, shattering the cozy quiet.
“Finally.”
He blinks the fuzz from his eyes and spots MJ in a tiny oasis of clean floor with a book open in her lap. It’s the same one she’s been carrying around at school all week. She’s probably read it half a dozen times by now. Either she loves it or she’s hate-memorizing it so she can destroy anyone who tries to defend it with terrifying accuracy and painstaking detail. He’s not dumb enough to ask which one.
Peter might have yesterday at lunch if the bewildered expression Ned clocked from across the cafeteria is any indication. He took one look at Peter’s alarmed posture and MJ’s intense expression as she delivered her sermon and wisely chose to sit with Betty, Cindy, and Abe with his back to their ordeal. Yes, Peter is his best friend and yes, MJ is his other best friend but there’s nothing wrong with a little change of pace every now and again. Besides, if Peter can’t handle his girlfriend’s interests then they’ve got more problems than Ned’s presence can fix.
“You’ve been asleep forever,” MJ complains, marking her page with the same receipt she’s been using as a bookmark since Peter took her on a date to the new book café in Brooklyn two months ago, the paper long since worn soft and the ink faded to near illegibility.
“Time is it?” he mumbles, scrubbing the grit out of his eyes.
“Almost noon. May’s been in a few times but she didn’t want to wake Sleeping Beauty.”
Peter is passed out between them, sprawled on his belly, jaw hanging open, and snoring lightly as drool soaks into the pizza box under his cheek. They all have an unspoken agreement to never wake Peter if they can help it. The idiot never takes care of himself.
He sits up and chip crumbs fall from his shirt into the folds of blanket that was tossed over him and Peter sometime during the night, or rather, the wee hours of the morning. He brushes them away absently and pats around for his phone.
“Have you eaten?”
“Only the last of the gummy bears.”
He shoots her a betrayed look and she smiles, thin-lipped and sarcastic.
“Any pizza left?”
She snorts and casts a pointed look at Peter. “With the bottomless pit around? Doubtful.”
“Point. Cereal? I can show you the changes me and Peter made to our island.”
“More changes?” She rolls her eyes as she rises to her feet, all long limbs and sharp angles. “I swear every time I come over here it’s like a brand new island.” She steps over Peter, careful of his hidden limbs under the blanket and sticks out a hand to help him up. “You guys didn’t get rid of Sherb, right?”
“Of course not,” he says as she hauls him up. “We know he’s your boy. We did put in a waterfall though.”
“Another one? You have an obsession.”
“They’re classy!”
An hour later, empty cereal bowls added to the collection of detritus littering the Parker living room, Peter finally wakes up in the middle of their argument about whether they should invite the creepy rat to live on their island.
“He freaks me out!”
“He’s interesting,” MJ counters. “This place needs some livening up. Where’s the drama? It’s not realistic.”
“It’s not supposed to be!”
“Your idealistic fantasy island is boring, Nedward. Invite the rat or I’ll tell Betty you still have feelings for her.”
He gasps. “You wouldn’t.”
“Okay, fine. I wouldn’t,” she admits. “We need a tie breaker.”
They look down at Peter in unison and he feigns sleep a moment too late.
“Tell him to invite the rat, Peter. Everyone here is too nice.”
“The rat is sus! Look at his creepy clown make up!”
“Uhhh…” Peter glances between them and then leaps to his feet. “Gotta pee!”
MJ hurls an empty soda can at his retreating form.
“Coward!” Ned shouts.
The bathroom door slams. They look at each other.
“Invite the rat and I’ll tell you my secret strategy in Among Us.”
“Deal.” He invites the rat.

"Your family is going to wonder where you are when you don’t show up tonight,” Peeta says, unlocking the door above the bakery and ushering Katniss inside. He shuts it behind them, and with a barrier between them and the outside world the shouting and occasional gunfire in the Square mutes some. Peeta is aware of his own frantic heartbeat, the blood rushing through his ears. He sags against the kitchen counter, the strength seeping from his limbs. They made it. They’re safe. Better yet, they're alone, he realizes. He's not sure he could deal with his family now.
His mother and father and Rye are at the Cartwright’s, finalizing toasting plans with his brother’s future in-laws. Curfew is soon, and they'll be stranded until sunrise.
While his father and brothers like Katniss, Mrs. Mellark still hasn't given in. He’s too tired to play moderator.
“I didn’t tell anyone we were watching from the square,” Katniss admits, following Peeta through the quiet apartment to the front room. She moves to the window facing the square, pushing the curtain back.
Peeta stands behind her and leans over her shoulder, peering out into the street below. The Peacekeepers seem to have the crowd subdued once again. Dozens of people, including a few of his Town neighbors, are led away, guns drawn as motivation to walk. A dull ache settles in his chest.
“Kind of feels like a waste,” Katniss says, pushing the curtain to cover the window and stepping back. Her expression is pinched. “Fighting the Capitol will change anything.”
“I’m not sure if I agree with that,” Peeta says as Katniss sits on the couch. She unlaces her boots and he watches her routine that’s become so familiar to him. Funny how he never thought that would happen. “I think they’re brave,” he adds.
She tugs one boot off. “I think it’s idiotic.”
The situation isn’t funny, but he laughs anyway. “Of course you do. Starting something you can’t finish isn’t logical."
Katniss tugs the other boot off her foot and frowns at him as she stretches out on the couch. “We can’t all be Mr. Do-Good, like you.”
“Probably not,” Peeta says. “What would become of us? Standing up for what we believe in.”
“It would get us killed,” she murmurs, eyes falling closed.
Peeta ignores that comment. “What are you doing?”
She looks up at him. “I’m so tired. Do you have a blanket I can use to sleep out here?”
Katniss gives a very un-Katniss-like squeak when Peeta bends over and scoops her off the couch. She forgets how strong he is sometimes. Her heart flutters inside her chest, and when he smiles crookedly at her that warmth she feels around him lately spreads through her belly. Their gazes lock, and she’s oddly breathless.
“You’re crazy if you think I’m letting you sleep on the couch,” Peeta says after clearing his throat
Katniss doesn’t know what to say as he quickly sets her on the floor again. His cheeks are red. She’s looking everywhere in the room but at him.
“If that’s cool with you-” he begins.
“Yeah,” she says quickly. Embarrassed for some reason, Katniss follows Peeta to his room. They remain quiet as they lay side by side on his bed, but now that they’re here, she can’t fall asleep. Her mind whirs, and she doesn’t want to close her eyes because every time she does, scenes from the square flash across her mind.
Shouting erupts from outside once again, followed by short bursts of gunfire. Peeta has his arms around her, pulling her close before the first sob has fully crossed her lips.

Number 13
TW: Starvation, being held captive, hysterical breakdown, animal is killed
"120," Hero mutters softly as they scratch out the tally mark on the wall of their stone cell with nails that used to be perfectly manicured once upon a time.
120 days spent in this hellhole, with barely any air and far too much light which made sleeping nigh impossible along with the hard, stone floor. But nothing was as worse as the hunger and thirst that seemed to become the same feeling now. They desperately missed the rats their captors would throw to them at first. They'd drink them dry within five minutes, and it was quite possibly the worst flavour of blood they'd ever had. But it was better. Than the starvation that tore at their insides and made every movement feel like they were at war with their own limbs.
The door creaks open, and Hero sits upright, shoulders tensing in apprehension. Villain has the nerve to saunter in front of a hungry starving vampire, jugular vein casually exposed and posture completely relaxed.
"Wow. You look like crap."
They laugh softly. "I never knew that blood mattered that much to you. I remember clearly you used to squeeze blood transfusion bags into your glass and sip it up with a straw like a damn pina colada. You used to turn up your nose at the rats, hm?" An playful look crosses their face.
Their nemesis stalks closer to them, grinning, and Hero lets out a growl, low and feral. Villain's dragging something along with them.
Their eyes widen and their mouth waters at the sight of a plump-looking deer. Their normally green-blue eyes turn a bold red and their whole body is racked with shivers as they crawl on all fours towards their prey.
"Not so fast, sweetheart." They slowly, tauntingly even, pull the animal away from them. Hero's growl would've scared anyone in their right mind to death. Villain, bless them, knows sanity like a polar bear knows the Sahara desert. "Can't let you have this snack if you don't comply. All you need to do is talk."
Hero cusses them out. The filthiest thing they know. "I could get you to do anything for me in this state, no? Anything." They run their finger lightly on their enemy's jaw, narrowly avoiding getting it chopped off by their sharp teeth.
Hero's eyes fill with tears. They know what will happen. They're going to humiliate them. Their 'composure' is gone as they fall into straight up hysterics. Villain's expression goes from amused to shocked.
They were just messing with them, thinking Hero would just be cranky and that the predatory stance had been a little show to scare them. But this was cruel, even for a villain. They crouch down to floor, expression softening. "Hero, I swear this isn't up to me. Supervillain's going to make this so much worse for you if you don't comply. Please, if you just listen, I'll have you out of here. You'll finally get some sleep, clean clothes, no limit on the fancy little glasses of blood you like. It'll be somewhere nice. Just. . ."
They're cut off by Hero screaming in agony, banging on the floor till their already bruised knuckles turn a deeper shade of purple. Villain curses and they push the deer towards them. To hell with protocol. To hell with Supervillain and their twisted little games.
Almost automatically, Hero runs their fingers somewhat soothingly on the animal's skin, and it stops struggling completely. They swiftly twist its neck with a sharp crack and sink their fangs into it. Their whole body relaxes against the animal as they continue to drain it. They stop momentarily to catch their breath and resume, until they drink their prey dry.
They lick their lips and lean against the wall of their cell, and Villain hands them a couple tissues from their pockets, eyes still wide at what they've just witnessed. Wiping their hands and mouth, their eyes change back to their familiar bluish green. A slight smile plays on Hero's no-longer-dry lips.
"Thank you," they whisper curtly.
"You-you're welcome." They flash the immortal a weak smile. They have no idea what they're going to do, the threat of Supervillain's wrath rearing its ugly head at them. But they don't regret at all letting Hero feed.
No one deserves to be treated like that.

truth or dare
peirings: kuroo x fem!reader x kenma.
warnings: smut, aged up, oral, gagging, threesome, nipples play, overstimulating, hint of poly relationship.
w/c: 1.9k
kuroo and kenma are your closest friends - both of them would help you out anytime or talk to your whenever you want it. both of them are happy to spend their evenings with you: they're needed for your relaxing body massage you once give them or you both prefer to watch anime. sometimes, you do the homework - the time where's kuroo yelling at you and kenma for being bad at the subject. although, if you're getting good grades at school, he still mad - you aren't good at his point. after studying, both of you would play a video game. now, kenma is the best player among you.
'how is that possible you don't know how to play? gosh, i'll show only once, i won't teach you forever, nerds'
quiet notes from kenma to you on how to win kuroo.
generally, they both are funny and good friends. one call to kuroo or kenma and he'll be around you, comforting his friend.
'till the moment kuroo propose to play a game, named truth or dare.
'it'd be fun, what do you think, y/n-chan?'
'i'm in!'
the thought it'd cheerfully and you'll have merrily game didn't last long. it was fun to a certain point in the game.
'truth or dare, kenma-kun?' asked vivaciously kuroo. he has been joining since he came up with
'truth'
'are you in love with someone?'
kenma is speechless, his eyes widened as he heard the question. he gulped, closing his eyes.
'seriously, in love?' kenma responded with a question, crossing arms on the chest, staring at his friend like he told a lewd thing.
'i mean that, give us an answer!'
'yes, i am' you covered your mouth with a hand, gazing at the blond one. the game started and you found out an interesting thing about kozume.
'who are they? do we know them?' you inquired, putting your hand on kenma's shoulder, rubbing it a cheerful way. kinda, you glad that your friend settled down by found a girl with whom he wants to be. although, why is he keeping it aside from you? aren't you friends with him?
'it's the second question, now i'm running. y/n-chan, truth or dare?'
'how rude you're, truth'
'the same question. do you love someone?'
you exhaled, musing about the question. the warm feeling born in your chest when you're with boys. you've never caught yourself at the thought you're in love with them. you love them as friends, maybe something more, but you aren't in love. it must be a wrong feeling.
'i don't know. it's just complicated, i've got feelings for.. for someone, but don't think i'm in love'
'are you hiding some information apart from me?' kuroo indignantly screamed, pointing at you. he moaned lingering, twisted his tongue, not looking at you. 'being in love it's awesome, why you both didn't tell me early, i-i' he interrupted himself, reflecting on the phrase he said.
'kuroo-san, truth or dare?'
'dare'
you're smiling sinisterly, rubbing your hands, guessing over the dare. it would humorously tell him to do something easy, so you're kept thinking about it whilst found acceptable dare.
'do a striptease for us'
it's entertaining to watch as his emotions changing from calm to frowning, in the eyes new emotion - mingled astonishment and stupefaction. knockout dare took him off guard - he didn't expect you would dare an obscene action like a strip.
'you will regret about it, y/n'
those eyes that expressed stupefaction transformed to the lustful and lascivious. there is no fear of unknowing what you'll dare next, there's lust and dissolute.
kuroo took his shirt off, exposing a pumped-up body - he has those fucking six-pack, not like a bodybuilder, but damn, his upper body literally saying: fuck me. he's coming closer to you with small steps, playing with his chest and abs using hands. you didn't notice how fast kuroo he put his knees between your legs, running his fingers on your shoulders to the neck, squeezing your narrow neck, pulling his face in your ear.
'you liked it, y/n, like my strip-' he did a little pause, licking your ear. the goosebumps are running over your body, as long as you're trying to avoid the familiar feeling. you closed your eyes, attempting his body. 'tease'
he moved away from you, back at his previous position, staring at kenma. his mand is hazy of the action kuroo did: was it real or he was guided by the dare. crafty type.
'kenma, truth or dare?' he's acting like it was nothing, like he didn't tease by half-muttering in your ear, which gave you goosebumps, and your breath was taken away. for credibility, he licked your earlobe, isn't it enough?
'since the game is getting hotter, dare, kuroo'
'show us the person you're in love with'
isn't the game hotter than a sun? on that point, is getting closer to that temperature. kenma stood up, staring at his teammate - some line is connecting them, binding them as some rivals for your attention. kenma sat behind you, put hands on your shoulders, breathed out on the back of your neck, make your knees go weak. 'she's sitting in front of you'
goosebumps are running over your body, breath stuck in your throat as kenma touched your shoulder with his warm palm, rubbing your skin gently. you exhaled, as kenma lingering on your neck, raises the chin up, blowing in your left ear, kissing it concurrently.
'and i'm kissing her'
you opened your mouth, not trying to resist, moisten chapped lips erstwhile were humidified due to the lip gloss. not trying to resist, when kuroo put your small hand on his six-pack; your hands are running over lumpy muscles whilst the blond one licking your collarbone. suddenly, you felt his hands under the shirt, denuding your breast to kuroo. you were up to close your legs, but the hand of the guy in front of you didn't allow it.
'you're so concupiscent, y/n. let us do the thing, baby girl. we'll treat you as your queen, your little girl' uttered kuroo, approaching his face on your nipple. 'can i?'
there must an answer, although everything you could do muttering indistinctly, feeling the unknowing sense down there. so marvelous, voluptuous, and vulnerable it is. kuroo barely touched your nipple with the tip as kenma slipped a hand into your shorts. you lay the back on kenma's chest, unconsciously spreading legs apart. outlining yet hard areola, kuroo lick it, biting just lightly the nipple. he has been enjoying it even more than you, receiving from two boys delight.
kenma pull aside your shorts, discovered you aren't wearing the panties. he snorted, rubbing an index finger on your folds. what could be more pleasant than this moment? the captain of a nekoma team is licking your nipples whilst the setter is playing with your pussy. you're lost in his caress: it seems there's no more air, no more feelings besides lust and desire.
kuroo pulls away from you, unzip his pants: a thick dick dropped in front of your face, covered in veins, the head is red from the pressure of your tiny body. the precum appears on the glans as you touched the hot cock, stroking with a hand from the tip 'till your little finger touches the pubis. you smear the drop of his semen with a tongue, lick the head, pull inside the wet mouth.
'you haven't seen something big as my cock, sweetie?' he giggled, thrust more in your warm, little mouth. you're sandwiched between two hot bodies, receiving and giving oral sex. abruptly, kenma make a fist of your hair, nudging your head deeper on kuroo's cock 'till your nose meets with the skin. you chocked, not having time for rest, in addition, kenma's abrupt push makes you gag even more. kenma entering his finger inside your tight pussy, still nudging you.
'get on the bed, baby' kuroo hoisted you up. somehow, you managed to stand on your fours, letting kuroo eating you out, giving kenma your face to fuck. maybe it's their smells, such as aphrodisiac; not paying attention to the pain in your throat due to their fat cocks, you're sucking blond's member whilst kuroo greedily licking out you, preparing for the cock. it seems it has been an eternity since you've been doing it, whereas it doesn't take longer than a quarter of the time.
'don't worry, sweetie, i'll be gentle, just relax'
you're practically been dripping under his face, yet when you felt the gland at the entrance you knew it won't be easy: kuroo won't stop till he goes into you entirely. you're getting lost as many times you came on the captain's tongue, perhaps two or three, nevertheless it hurts when he's attempting to pull his cock in. with a certain slosh kuroo went in your cunt deep, but slow, stopping his movements, giving you a couple of second to get used to the new feeling. new orgasm is building up as soon as kuroo asked you with a husky voice about your well-being.
'are you okay? i could pull it out if you're-'
'move, kuroo. you can'
tremendously soft and big concurrently, but his smug grin appears as he heard your order: it's maddening him to be inside you. gradually, the captain starts to increase the pace, as his balls slapping against your cunt.
kenma is blissful as never: he could only think about the godlike blowjob like this one. your tongue is running from the tip to the balls, gagging by it. tears start to fall down on your cheeks, leaving the wet trace, though you aren't stopping: you're a masochist if you're relishing something like that. you would answer: yes, i am, but your mouth is full by kenma's dick.
'i will cum in your mouth, can i, kitten?'
kenma is breathing heavily, scarcely would last longer, as you feel as his cock is twitching and getting hotter. you switched your mouth on his glans, sucking and stroking the base, helping to reach the high.
'me too, y/n, get ready for mine semen in your mouth too'
so fucking full of sperm you'll be in a few seconds. kuroo pulls his dick out, get out of bed, coming to the edge. using your hands, you're stroking theirs cocks waiting for the cum in your mouth to taste it. both of them came simultaneously, giving you their hot semen. feeling as your cunt twitching from the big dick, swallowing their semen.
how did it turn on? what happened? you didn't know exactly, you're happy that now you're cuddling and smooching your boys, exhausted from your first time. kuroo tenderly kissing the back of your neck, burying his face into your hair, pulling closer by your waist. kenma covers your face with quick but affectional kisses, interlacing your fingers.
you're happy and lucky cuddling with boys with the guys you love. but they love you even more.
'sleep kitten, we will be here when you open your eyes'
'stop talking she's sleeping!'
'don't scream she may wake up'
'and stop being so sweet i love her more than you do'
'no, i-'
you giggled, falling asleep to their quiet muttering of 'who loves you more'

Chy I think I have a new platonic f/o but I feel so embarrassed and cringe about it 😭 is it okay if I gush here?
I've been playing the new disney game that's in early acess right now, and you're just sort of helping out in a villiage with familiar characters (it's like Animal Crossing in a disney wrapper). Anyway. They added Scar in the new update this week and he's!! So sad! Almost all of his lines are so sad and lonely! I already have a level 5 or 6 friendship with him bc I give him all his favorite gifts and hang out with him all the time.
I just wanna be his friend! He just needs friendship and less isolation. And I wish there were more dialogue options to tell the other characters to stop being mean to him, he was stuck in a cave and as soon as he comes out they're like "oh man its this jerk again." I wanna cook him tasty treats and watch tv with him! Friendship is so magic and gosh darn it I wanna show him!!
Ahhh sorry this is so long >< I think he has become my problematic fave and I wanna help him not be mean
Absolutely you can gush about it! :D I think I know what game you’re talking about, it looks like a lot of fun! And that’s so sweet that you want to be his friend and help him out! Like the game can be like a AU sort of thing were he kinda learns from his mistakes in the past and now realizes that he actually feels lonely and your friendship helps him not be so jaded and mean! And I know about having problematic faves, I self ship with Master Shake for crying out loud! And don’t worry about making this long, I love reading posts like this (mostly because I’m more of listener then talker anyway and I have no idea how to gush about my favorite fictional characters, so seeing others do it makes my day!). So don’t feel embarrassed about it, it’s lovely! A lot of people like Disney villains, I mean they are usually the best part of the films ‘cause of their personalities and musical numbers anyways!
