People who think gender identities matter more than behaviour in determining moral value have all the passion and none of the education/philosophical understanding of actual feminists (gender equality, neither binary sex is superior). They looked at the late monarch Victoria and thought "you go, girlboss!" despite the objectively regressive stance she had and the offspring she failed abysmally to raise
And let me tell you, when some radfem loops back around to being a monarchist as long as they're a woman, I start wondering if there's some way to get the writers to take a little break from the irony stuffing
I need a big sign that says "YOUR GENDER IDENTITY IS MORALLY NEUTRAL" that lights up whenever I see a bad take

Re the anon talking about ppl claiming that you can do forcefem in a way that isn't kinky and therefore is sfw & shouldn't be tagged – THANK YOU. As an ace person who is both somewhat sex averse and mildly involved in kink (basically I like erotica (of the fantastical, impossible to do in reality variety) & write some of it but I have to be in the right mood and I'm uncomfortable with actually having sex or having sexual interactions that aren't clearly roleplay), I was a little upset with some friends a few years ago for making sexual comments about me (like joking about whether I'm a top/bottom or saying things like 'step on me', etc). I asked them if they could stop/tone it down a little and my actually close friends did but a few kept getting defensive about how it was clearly a joke and they were saying I was a bottom in a slang/meme way and didn't mean anything sexual by it. And like... the point isn't how you intend for something to come across, the point is how it's received and the words you're saying are clearly sexual and it's starting to get weird. Something doesn't stop being rude or straight up sexual harassment if you mean it as a joke/in a nonsexual way.
I'm not a Puritan by any means. All kink (involving consensual adults) is fine by me but being sex-positive also means respecting that some people aren't into your kinks or sex in general and to not get offended if someone unfollows you because of untagged kink/nsfw or leaves a conversation because they're squicked out. (Seriously, we need to bring back the concept of 'squicks' to communicate that there's nothing morally wrong with certain kinks but some can still gross you out and you can choose to avoid them.) Rebranding what's clearly a kink and is understood to be a kink anywhere that's not this website, especially one that can clearly be triggering to people, and calling anyone who doesn't want to see it transmisogynists is just... weird.
(Also while I have 0 problems with people who transition for kink reasons or people who have gender-related kinks, it sets a kind of dangerous precedent for seriously claiming something like forcefem is trans praxis when one of the most common transphobic & specifically transmisogynistic lines of attack is that being trans is sexually motivated & trans people are groomer pedophiles, etc etc. If you think of your transition/gender as forcefemming then cool! Good for you! Kink is an important part of queerness. But maybe try to not apply that to the entire community when there are people who don't feel the same and there are people who are put in real physical danger because of those assumptions that being trans is inherently sexual.)
This is especially true of forcefem because "nonsexual forcefem" is literally just transmascs being forced to detransition. People with non-con kinks kinna have a big responsibility to not go about it in a way that's triggering to other people.

Every day I see discourse about how it’s problematic to make a character a trans man and an omega in omegaverse or problematic to “treat a twink character like ‘the girl one’” or some nonsense and then I come on your blog and it’s a breath of fresh air every time. LOVED that post about the rapid werewolf pregnancy, so glad the world will never lack for fetish stuff that I actually like just because people incorrectly think gay people are reinventing gender roles in writing about fictional smut scenarios.
Honestly, sometimes I see people get a bit grumpy and upset with recs of my work because there aren't enough trans men topping or what have you and they're just not interested in trans men bottoming or subbing and that's completely fine!
But it doesn't mean that I'm some sort of evil fetishisiser force-feminising every trans or effete man and single-handedly holding up the side of global transphobia, lmao.
Some people are unfortunately just very sensitive about their own dysphoria and project it onto other people's fetish and kink work, and not everyone has the ability to separate their own dysphoria or discomfort, or just having the ick, from their perceived ethics or morality of that work existing.
It's difficult for many people to unlearn those reactionary tendencies, especially without exposure to healthy and unemotional talk about sex and sexuality, including kink and fetish, and so faced with all that tangled emotion and nowhere to put it, you end up with angry essays and paragraph on paragraph about how this is upholding various bigotries or is responsible for actual hate crimes and such.
Rest assured I will be posting away with my usual revolting erotic horror and terrible hentai scenarios because I just think they're such fun. And in the meantime, all the best to those poor lads tangling themselves in knots about it - we can only hope they're able to find comfort where they can and chill the fuck out at some point.

Hey so, I’m the anon that sent the initial ask with the Sire and Dam terms and I’m just confused and looking for clarification
I’m aware they aren’t dogs. But the term itself isn’t uncommon in the a/b/o community at times; in any case, most terms in the community compares them to dogs or other animalistic sayings. (ie. Calling babies ‘pups’, using the concept of ‘heat cycles’, using the term ‘packs’, rutting, mating, to say a few)
And even you, in the omegaverse headcannons ask said “I think I've called alphas "herding dogs" before and that's such a great way to think about them lol”. You’ve compared them to dogs too, in a way.
I don’t intend to come off as rude, I’m just seriously a bit lost on what you mean considering everything. /lh /genq
The terms sire/dam make me incredibly uncomfortable because in my mind they break so.ething complex like gender into strictly biological parts. I also would call this a recent addition to the omegaverse Canon because I had never heard the terms used until you sent your ask.
Perhaps I don't view mother/father as gendered terms, in my mind it's just the "role" that one fulfills. Not even in terms of mother=birth giver, father=sperm donor, more in terms of labor, emotional education, perhaps a form of distance from the child. Idk
I would say me using "herding dog" as a metaphor is different from using dog breeding terms to refer to human people. Is any birth giver who hasn't been mated referred to as a bitch too?
I have made a concerted effort NOT to use dog/animal terms outside of heat/rut only because those are the accepted terms for the fertility cycle that exists within omegaverse. I don't call them packs, I don't really talk about mates, I don't call children pups, but I'm sorry I used a metaphor to describe an abstract concept that happened to also be dog related.
This is not a reflection on you but it is a little frustrating for me to create what I consider to be an "untraditional" omegaverse au where: betas have an actual endotype, omegas are not weak simpering submissives, alphas aren't sex crazed rapists, and where sortie dynamics are actually interesting and have social implications, and people still will come into my ask box and ask like really aggressively traditional omegaverse questions.
"What if a beta!reader wanted-" then they could do that.
"What if the reader went into heat and alpha!x-" they'd be fine, alphas aren't hormone monsters.
"Can alphas be parents?" Yes because they're people and alpha =/= absent father.
I am sorry, I was more confused than frustrated by your original question I just am a little tired of doing all of this world building and people just seem to ignore that. Like I'm really proud of the work I've put into my au! I wish people would read it before sending me really really "traditional" omegaverse questions. This will never happen though.

it's funny how much your political allegiances can disfigure your perception on a political movement when you don't have an accourate enough sample size of its members to make an authentic judgement, isn't it. it probably doesn't help when your entire exposure to a political movement comes from "the blogs you see on Tumblr" (as opposed to documentaries, lectures/speeches, organized events & protests, books & literature...) either.
but sure, let's talk about "TERF tumblr". ever since I begun mooching around radfem spaces on this website, I was elated to find an abundance of conversation about topics that had troubled me deeply for years (the sex industry, pornography, rape & grooming culture etc), but had never encountered any form of meaningful or relatable discussion/activism about amongst the general online leftist crowd.
in addition, the radfem discussions that circulated about issues like FGM, child marriage, religious oppression & human trafficking, opened my eyes up to an entirely new aspects of feminism (particularly intersectional ones) I hadn't given the amount of conscious thought and grave consideration they deserved up until that point. it was a very humbling and sobering experience.
by comparison, the amount of blogs I found that focused primarily on the intersection and tension between trans activism and feminism became significantly smaller over time - fewer and farther inbetween. they exist, but they're certainly not the centerpieces of the wider sphere of radfem bloggers here, and even amongst them the tone and level of investment vary widely. some radfems even begrudge their existence, seeing their discussion points as relatively trivial in comparison to others.
(some don't even care much for JK Rowling for a variety of reasons, and I'm glad to have seem some that are hesitant to automatically engage in speculation about an athlete's sex until sufficient grounds for doubt are established.)
most radfem bloggers use their pages to raise awareness for issues women are facing all across the globe, or to share personal stories from their lived experiences as females, or to share links to radical feminist reading resources. framing the trans debate as the only thing radfems care about is a deeply misleading yet frustratingly prevelant and unchallenged smear tactic used by trans activists on this platform.
as a counterpoint, I've also been deeply entrenched in online spaces with a large amount of trans people for about the past decade of my internet usage. I've followed and interacted with thousands of trans bloggers over the years, dozens on the daily. and indeed, its members are as varied and unique as any other group of people would be. some trans-identifying males I've followed rarely so much as even mention their gender identities or trans issues on their social pages, preferring to post about their musical creations, art projects, video game streaming gigs or their media interests.
but I couldn't help but notice that quite a few of their blogs are about hentai and incest roleplay.
in fact it's actually quite difficult for me to find ones that are not about hentai and incest roleplay.
Whenever one off my posts breaks containment into TERF tumblr it's always hilarious because 99% of their posts are about TERF shit (imaginary trans boogeywomen hiding around every corner, lamenting how unfair it is that everyone makes fun of JK Rowling now, and without fail a streak of five posts in a row about an athlete who is female by all conceivable metrics including theirs where they refer to her as "him") but whenever I visit the blog of a trans woman, almost none of the posts are about being trans. All the posts are about sonic hedgehog

I've previously mentioned (and debated) the number of sexes in halakha. It's common to see 6 (zakhar, nekeivah, androginos, tumtum, saris, aylonis), but I don't count saris and aylonis and get 4.
I think the difference is in how different fields define distinctions. The definition of a sex is different between the English language and like queer discourse, and the Talmud, so distinctions between sexes work differently too. English might care about genitalia, chromosomes, secondary sex characteristics, hormones, whatever, in determining different sexes, but as I understand it Halakha cares pretty much only about genitalia.
So while whatever a saris/aylonis is medically might make them a different sex in English, those differences don't make them a different sex Halakhically. And while they're still distinct legal classes, they're not distinct sexes like the other 4. A saris is a subset (subsex?) of zakhar, not an exclusive sex.
(Now admittedly the only real nafka mina would probably if you use sex as a tenai but that is a valid nafka mina by androginos so it's fine)

ultimately when it comes to shipping and fandom space treatment of aspec characters i just don't accept "aro/ace people can still date/have sex" as an answer from nonaspecs. like yeah. mhm. okay. now i think we both know that you're not saying that out of real interest in the diversity of aspec experiences. so you can turn in your seventeen-page essay on why and how you plan to examine this character's aspec identity within the context of a romantic or sexual relationship complete with evidence from canon and peer reviews from multiple aspec people within the next week or i'm putting you in the pit from the edgar allen poe story
#you know. the one with the pendulum#'hey. why are you as an allo person shipping this aspec character like this'#'oh aspec people can still date/have sex!'#'yeah. now can you answer the question that i actually asked you'#like goddamn just say you don't care they're aspec and you want to fulfill a sexual/romantic fantasy with them. that's Fine#it like. sucks. for sure. lotta aspec people will be unhappy with you. but everyone is entitled to their own wants and experiences.#but i'd prefer you just be honest with it rather than using our community's conversation points as retroactive justification#and ONCE AGAIN. you guys are real fucking cavalier with this shit and it shows a real fundamental lack of respect for aspecs#when most of you would NEVER ship a canonically gay character with the 'other' gender. cause again. it would suck.#you can do it. nobody's Stopping you. but it would suck.#and we understand that putting a queer character in situations that erase that queerness is shitty! until it comes to aspec characters!#and whoa... there it is again... people don't consider aspec identities to be queer... crazy how it always comes back to that#anyway. you all know what i'm talking about. have seen many posts about this lately#it is [ long sigh ] unfortunately a very hot button issue with the advent lately of alastor hazbinhotel#which. again. god i wish there were other canon aspec characters to be having this conversation about.#but we'll have to do our best with what we have#aromantic#aromanticism#arospec#aroace#talking#aspec#asexual#asexuality

christ alive I love my parents and I'm glad I got to see them but they are just. so fucking exhausting
#i've identified something about them#which is this#they genuinely do not grasp that other people have Real Experiences that don't map to their view of the world#like it's not that they don't view those experiences as valid or whatever#it's that they genuinely and truly do not grok that other people have experiences they don't approve of#like that the experiences actually happen and aren't made up#“why do you insist on referring to X with they/them pronouns?”#“because they don't identify with a gender”#“well you're either one or the other”#“well they don't feel that way and they don't identify with a gender”#“well you're one or the other”#“okay but literally they do not feel that way and you not liking that doesn't change it like wtf and also sex and gender aren't the same”#etc etc etc ad fucking nauseum#fucks sake#also this is always my mom who drops this shit#my dad just pretends like nothing is happening and ignores the conversation like the wuss he is lol#to be fair i get it because i would not go up against my mom either if i was him because he has to live with her stubborn ass#it's probably obvious but they blithely misgendered me the whole goddamn time they were here#UNLESS THEY WERE IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE IN PUBLIC LOLOLOLOLOLOL#HMMMMMMMMM#FUNNY HOW THAT WORKS#anyway fuck them and i hope they get home safe because they're old as fuck and probably going to die in the next 5-10 years#and when they do it will be terrible and also part of me will be relieved and idk how to feel about that tbh#so like#yeah#:/#covington-shenanigans gets personal#(to be clear they just didn't use pronouns for me at all in public)#(they have never once gendered me correctly and probably never will)

How would you change elvin fashion/or how do you think elvin fashion should be?
First order of business: leggings are OUT! yes this entirely personal, but they (or at least the girls) wear leggings with EVERYTHING and I simply could not and will not. And it's also incredibly plain and boring, and they can do better.
The main thing is just that practically none of what we hear described makes an impression. The only thing they do is some undescribed embroidery and added jewels (usually described as "jewel encrusted" or simialr, no further detail), and Sophie keeps saying it looks super fancy and wealthy, but I'm unconvinced. I will grant that the capes are more distinctly elven and memorable, but I think they can be improved upon as well
What, exactly, the distinct thing "should" be depends on preference. And it's difficult to make it universal since elves are around the world, and a group's clothing tends to reflect their environment. One option is since they're a light-based society, to have a lot of skin showing to better absorb the sunlight--yes, this is also partially personal because that's what I like, but since not all elves are in a warm environment this doesn't work great for all areas. Another route is to incorporate a lot of gold--thread and jewelry--into their dress to reflect that sunlight, though we do run the risk of overlapping to heavily with goblins.
We could also bring back the trick with Jolie's lumenite dress, expanding that more broadly to making glowing garments. Perhaps with other glowing materials as well, though I'm not sure what specifically. That might be the best option actually, as it can be incorporated into a variety of fabrics and styles for the various weather conditions.
Another idea would be, instead of the clothes specifically, to focus on the culture surrounding clothes. They have an overabundance of clothes, what if they frequently switched outfits throughout the day? Something for a brisk morning, then they switch to something else when it warms up, and back into something else for the evening then night, etc. We could get more specific for positions of power--e.g. what if the councillors, who are supposed to be the best of the best, change clothes to reflect the colors of the sun/sky throughout the day? To reflect their enlightenment and atonement to the world?
Like I said, a variety of ways to go about it even beyond this, but the main thing is right now they feel like human clothes with the words "embroidery" and "jewel" stuck on. We can improve upon this :)
(also would love to see clothing not tied to gender. more ubiquitous styles and choices across all sexes and genders. why hold on to human socially constructed separation?)

I get the feeling that TRAs aren't defending Im4ne because they legitimately care about women's rights, but because they tend to use intersex people as pawns in their ideology and consider them tr4ns or tr4nsLiteTM. Like even though a good portion of them acknowledge that Im4ne isn't tr4ns identified, there is something about the way they are treating this that kinda feels like they are treating this as if Im4ne is tr4ns adjacent.
Something about the whole "she was raised female" and "af4b" and calling her a "ciswoman" because of this (even though 'Cis' would require a gender identity, one that they can't just assign a person to). Like I don't think I need to explain how TRAs will use the slippery slope of inters3x people's phenotype confusing people of their sex as a means to reach and claim it's proof gender identities are real, and this was the perfect opportunity. I really think their unwavering support of Im4ne being a wom4n is because they are, well, TRAs who without question support anyone's identity, more than them being good at distinguishing facts from misinformation.

how do terfs grapple with the fact that they're white supremacist losers who think that women are weak essentially like adult babies but that they also bear the apparent brunt of all human pain... liiike ok which narrative are we going with
#you can't have it both ways and i thought the whole point of a 'women empowerment movement' (they aren't that. don't worry. ik)#was that women were strong and capable of doing anything... but then they complain about women losing sports#like first of all why is SPORTS of all things the crux of your entire argument on gender theory#and second of all sports are not cooshy soft shit anyways... they've always been incredibly violent (varies depending on the sport ofc)#like especially if you're going to the olympics for boxing i do not know why you'd expect not to get hit hard LMAO??? it's not like she died#it's this narrative of women's fragility that really only comes into play with white women bc let's be real here... terfs are mainly white#and also is so funny to put into a sports argument because not only are you making women look bad by essentially saying they#aren't good at whatever sport they're playing and therefore need to have a strict sex-based caste system in place so they can win#and also never get any injuries??? in sports??? which are highly competitive and where most injuries happen???#but also you're saying that physical strength is directly proportional to gender which is also very much not true. if that dumb bitch#was up against a different woman who was like a bodybuilder or weight lifter she still would have lost because she fucking sucks#meanwhile so many men have fucking noodle arms. it's just ridiculous to push this narrative like someone being biologically male doesn't#make them better at sports or stronger just like being biologically female doesn't make you worse at spoets or weaker#people are sooooo fucking different more than you could even imagine with your little peabrain#but you wanna be racist and evil so bad because you don't like cock and balls on women#this is just embarrassing at this point like some people aren't born completely one way or the other and some have hormone imbalances.#doesn't make them any less of whatever they are.#i don't understand why fucking genitalia gets people so tripped up but of course of society is so sex-based how can it not i guess lmao#imagine getting so scared that someone w/ a penis is going to rape you on a constant basis that you basically say we need to be eugenicists#you realize you can hold men who rape people accountable AND be a decent human being... right? it's actually very easy

What do you think gay men are attracted to in men that they can’t be attracted to in women?
It can’t be anything about femininity or masculinity obviously. That’s both sexist, and cultural so can’t be what drives men-only attraction.
It can’t be anything about stated identity because someone could lie just as easily as they could tell the truth in such a statement, and it makes no sense because homosexuality and heterosexuality exists in other species with no stated identities. It’s not like other animals without gender are all pan.
Saying idk it’s the vibes or some indescribable trait men have that women can’t but “I can’t explain” is a nonanswer.
Soooooooo what is it? Or do you think any sexuality but bi/pan is just cultural performance or an identity rather than an inborn orientation?
