To be clear, I do ship Marcille and Falin!! I just ship them as.... complicated, you know? They have dyke drama. Marcille is deluding herself that Falin hasn't grown up and she's not going to age, and she's not going to die no matter what Marcille does, and Marcille isn't going to have to live most of her life having lost her. Meanwhile poor Falin would like a step by step written explanation of how to convince her very good elf friend that she is an adult, and has some potentially adult feelings about getting wet and naked and crawling into bed together

Ya'll probably know this by now given how much I post about it but one of my favorite pastimes is watching people react to Stranger Things. I bring this up this time because I've noticed a pattern.

People root for Mileven in seasons 1 and 2 with no problem (with the exception of a couple of reactors who took forever to pick up on it in s1 or just didn't like the idea of rooting for such young kids to be kissing). Esp s2 because everyone wants them to reunite and then said reunion is absolutely adorable.

However, by about halfway through ep1 of s3, everyone just seems to be so bored of them. Like nobody I've watched has ever really expressed the want for them to get back together when they break up. I realize this is probably partially because of the annoying nature of their relationship and the way their whole breakup is played off like a big joke, but that's actually precisely what I'm getting at. Why would the writers choose to make it so easy to stop rooting for the "main couple" of the show??? Just so they could have a comeback arc or seven? If Mileven is endgame, this will probably be one of my biggest hangups, esp given the way Mike was the brunt of the "joke".

One of the main reasons I always go back to Byler endgame despite all of my doubt is because of how the writers treat Mileven's relationship. It's pretty toxic and so it's easy to stop rooting for them or just the repetitive-ness of their story as a couple makes them boring. They wouldn't make the "main couple" the most annoying couple in the show if they were actually going to be endgame.

Love how Zolu and Sanuso are both extremely poetic in their own ways. Because Zoro and Luffy could say "I'd go to hell and back for you. Rants from instagram. The neighbours and Edds gang have such a perfect dynamic set up to me. Like Edd and Eduardo are just as goofy as the other, and they clearly both want to play along just to create a scene like they're in a movie. They each have things they could admire each other for, be jealous about, and this goes for the others and their counterparts too. To me, they're so similar it's basically just them from another universe, ones who have learned to deal with things and express themselves differently. But they can't be too similar (as in show they are,) and they are aware of their dynamic and need everyone to think they're like any antagonist or protagonist who battle each other in any show. Even if they became friends overtime, they will always be pushy show offs towards each other. The same guy, but definitely NOT the same guy. I just love it.

Nathaniel Benedict/Ledroptha Curtain (TMBS) and Count Olaf (ASOUE) are proof that mentally unstable former theater kids with sad backstories make the most entertaining villains, especially when their main adversaries are genius children they lose to every episode. And one of them is canonically a literal toddler/baby.

Thinking about Galadriel making an alliance with Adar (my beloved...) and Sauron appearing in "jealous ex" mode and just killing him in front of her dramatic-revenge-like... I'm sorry but it was kinda hilarious and peak of him. Poor Adar... Narratively though... It was a bit too sudden... Adar deserved better ndfjvndkfvj

On the same note I kinda get why their encounter was the way it was given what was happening to them prior. If I had it my way they would be in a different mental state for better convos and such but well...

Sauron was having an identity crisis after taking a hit from Celebrimbor and finally taking over his dark lord persona (which he didn't do as directly before in my eyes. It was always a confession of sorts you know. It felt like Sauron was finally back in town), so he was acting more... Edge lordly (? I'm having trouble expressing it)... Whereas Galadriel just had her date ruined. She was literally getting herself a hot ally and an army (which is kinda her love language) and he RUINED it. I would be pissed as well idc.

He was so over-the-top, challenging her with his deliciously annoying persona and teasing her with all that shapeshifting. There wasn't as much place as I wish there was for vulnerability and conflict, sadly. And then he binded her to him like "ok so you don't want my poorly done offer? Alright girlie girl we'll do it my way then" *stab stab* dfnvjkfdnvjkd and I love that for him. Hopefully, we'll get scenes where they can be more emotional... Please I want my angst.

Also the way the episode ended talking about things that cannot be recovered... haha... Many Thoughts on that ngl.
