I love that the filters on my Ao3 profile are in genuine disbelief about how much I've written about Felix Ravinstill.

The first two photos on the left show Ao3 claiming that I have 4 fics tagged with Coriolanus Snow but only 3 tagged with Felix Ravinstill, but then wouldn't you know it? Once you filter to see all my Felix fics, you'll find that I have 4 tagged with him.

Also Ao3 currently hasn't acknowledged the President Ravinstill & Volumnia Gaul tag as a common tag, but it was acknowledged the Festus Creed/Felix Ravinstill/Original Female Character(s) tag and the President Ravinstill & Felix Ravinstill tag as common. This is very funny for me as the only author currently in those tags.

Apparently the toxic besties don't deserve rights. (Also note that being designated a common tag doesn't mean it's actually commonly used. It's just the default version of a tag rather than synonymous with the common tag. I still find it funny.)

WIP: Tomorrow's a Long Way Off

Or, the Robin and Jonathan Hot Girl Summer 1983 Fic. Here's their first conversation:

“Hey, you’re—” “Hey, that—” They both clammed up at the same time and stared at each other. Robin had heard the expression “like a deer in headlights” before, but she’d never realized how apt it could be. He looked absolutely stunned that he was in this situation, even though he’d chosen to speak to her.  “Um,” she said finally. “You’re in my homeroom. Jonathan Byers. You sit behind me. Because of the alphabet.” Jesus Christ. His awkwardness was somehow making her awkwardness a thousand times worse. Good thing she didn’t have to impress him; the only thing she had to worry about was anyone else hearing her. “Oh,” he said. “Right.” He wasn’t helping. “Because BU is right before BY,” she explained. She also wasn’t helping. “But…you know how the alphabet works, probably.” “Yes,” he agreed. The corners of his mouth, very slowly, rose into a smile. “Probably.” She couldn’t tell if he was trying to be nice, or if he was smirking at her for being a total dumbass. She sighed, and hoped for the best. “Sorry,” she said. “I’m Robin Buckley.”

i just want nice display lettering that i can use to make nice headings for each subject for on my pin boards in the classroom that are easy to use, not wasteful to print and make nice colour combinations when using letters not in alphabetical order, is that so much to ask for????

@ prev reblog 100000% agree that it's ridiculous that so many tools for writers are expensive (the fact that the microsoft suite is a fucking subscription based model now still kills me)

but i do recommend obsidian if you're looking for a free notes space you can use for worldbuilding/writing (you'll be writing in markdown if you use it, though), and scrivener if you're willing to pay for one (it's like 60 upfront but it's a one-time purchase, i've found it worth the price and have transitioned most of my creative writing there)
