I was tagged for a selfie by @justastheyplayoursong on Thanksgiving and I’m late but I showed up. Actually, I tried posting one that day and then Tumblr was like “that needs a mature label” or whatever they say and it hurt my feelings. I might have a million pics of my tits floating around here but I was absolutely not trying to be mature in that one. There was cleavage but I would love to be able to take these big bitches off from time to time but you know what? Jesus wanted me to have fat titties and there’s not a damn thing I can do about it but when Tumblr decides they’re mature just like everyone else did as soon as I grew them it makes me feel dirty and I know I’m not the only girl that’s ever felt that way. Maybe I am…don’t give a fuck. Do better.

I’ve been binge watching Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown since yesterday and I’m still not tired of it.

I am tired of not being able to see everyone from my phone anymore though. I did realize when I logged in on the computer that I think I’m able to follow people again so there’s that. Also, I found a hidden (from me on my phone) stash of asks that I had no idea even existed so if you sent one and I never replied it’s because I had no idea they were there.

Anyway, back to binge watching/scrolling/smoking/snacking/being at home. Have I ever mentioned how much I love being at home?! Just kidding. Of course I have.

"I've never been backstage at Mostro before!" Mia's eyes were wide as she took in the bright, clean atmosphere of the lounge's kitchen. She sat on a tall stool next to the big butcher-block island that dominated the room, her chin propped up in her hands. "It's really cool back here!"

Paul chuckled, not turning away from the stove. "It's back-of-house, Mia. Backstage is for folks who get an audience, not the ones who make yer meals." He stirred a large, bubbling pot of pasta, and nodded with satisfaction. Nothing was sticking; it was gonna be perfect. He took the lid off of the other saucepan, and a thin wisp of steam rose to meet him.

"You kinda have an audience, though, don't you? Everyone who comes here can't wait to see their favorite fella, the one who brings them their lunch." She giggled demurely into her hand.

"I'm hardly anyone's favorite," Paul scoffed*, rolling his eyes. "But I'm glad ya think so, at least. I think we're almost done, here..."

Mia's ear twitched attentively as the scents from the stove reached her. "Mm! That smells real familiar, Paulie! What'd you make today?"

"You mentioned favorites?" He was still facing the stove, ladling some sauce into a separate bowl, but from behind, Mia could see a blush starting to form. His ears and the back of his neck were turning as pink as a fresh piece of—

"Salmon?" Mia asked, cheerfully.

"You got it!" Paul's posture relaxed slightly as he combined the pasta with the sauce, tossing it gently to cover every strand. "You told me ya liked salmon cream pasta, so I called up Ma, and she gave me the recipe that we used ta use at the restaurant. Azul was lookin' for some new dishes, anyway, so I told 'im we could try it out, maybe add it to the rotation. But I wanted you ta have the first dish." His hands reached out for a few final items; a spoonful of capers, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, a sprig of parsley.

"You really wanted to add my fave to the menu?" Mia's expression went soft, and she put her hand over her heart.

Paul turned to face her, pink-cheeked, with a plate of the creamy pasta in one hand and a fork in the other. "Well, I wanted to add somethin' special. And I couldn't think of anything more special than whatever your favorite would be."

"Paulieeeeeee. That's so sweeeeeeet." Mia bounced a little on her stool as he put it onto the counter in front of her, and gratefully took the fork. "Here we go!!" She twirled up a forkful and took a bite.

Paul's palms sweated. Now was the deciding moment.

Mia squeaked in delight, and he finally relaxed. "It's perfect! It's just like the one at Grammy's favorite place in Pyroxene! But better because it's got chunks of salmon instead of a mush. It's sooooo good!"

Paul grinned from ear to ear. "Thanks, Mia!! Now I just gotta convince the boss to like it, too."

"I'll tweak his nose if he doesn't," she said around another mouthful. "If he doesn't like it, he's got no taste at all."

*incorrect. as we all know, everyone loves a lil' sardine. Except Floyd.

How do you think Cassie would feel the day of the wedding? Like, I know she disapproves of Anthony but I think she’d see there’s nothing to be done, they’re in love, so… do you think she’d be over emotional like “Oh my god my little barbie doll is getting married… 😭”? THANKSSSS i was so stressed last night i just went to sleep lmaoo....

BETTER BY BOA IS ONE OF THE BEST KPOP ALBUMS OF ALL TIME i really wanna buy a copy actually i would love to have the poster too.... i love that this is actually boa’s take on a comforting album as well as a 20th anniversary celebration and her title track is just “you’re better than this, shape up bitch!” it’s a fucking incredible album it’s right on top of every single trend, the title track better is literally the best of the 2020 retro kpop trend along with criminal and mago. 

1. better - literally such a gorgeous track and the mv is simple and perfect. the choreo is stellar and full of killing points and interesting formations and interactions and there’s so much EASE in how she does it all. vocals stellar. everything is 100% from her smart decisions it’s immaculate zero flaws zero room for improvement. pls watch rian and simeez’s youtube video talking about their process of making the choreo part of it was made in the waiting room for taemin’s music shows for idea they’re literally Working Working. also please watch rian’s dance cover she’s so hot in that jacket i was gonna die. 

2. temptations - this is the big sister to impressionable by taemin lol. god her vocals are incredible in this one. 

3. cloud - it’s just so sweeeeeeet. cafe music, easy listening. her VOICE!!! she does this amazing thing where she doesn’t go with expectations about how to inflect certain notes. she drags out certain notes much longer than you would think while cutting others short in ways that make even a simple song really dynamic and unexpected.

4. honey and diamonds - i love the little downward chromatic sequence in prechorus. this song basically has 2 choruses that are equally amazing???? it's like a pretty simple pop song but ABUNDANT with skill and detail. melodic top line is a masterpiece. and then the classic kpop style beat switch for the bridge. the adlibs she layers over the last chorus... and the sparking synth sounds they layer over the real drums and guitar and bass..

5. all that jazz - sounds like a second gen girl group song and makes me very very happy. love the piano and the smooth brass. and the scatting and beatboxing section at the end is so cool. 

6. little bird - boa wrote and composed this to comfort people and it rly works i love it a lot. the unfiltered drumset sounds are always a way to win me over. the muted brass in the back with the drums makes it feel so triumphant it makes me really emotional! this is like end of the teen movie music. she says everything’s gonna be alright so i gotta believe her.... ALSO THE BASS IS GREAT. and the big adlibs at the end woooow.

7. got me good - sooooo gooooooooood. when the beat comes in and it’s like 80% bass. this song is for dancing it’s so good. addicting chorus. and when the beat stops and her high note comes sooo easy on the ears and then it goes into the chorus again. chef’s kiss.

8. cut me off - AMAZING. the most apathetic break up song “i’m sick and tired of your love” lmaoooo. 

9. l.o.v.e. - I WANNA BE AT A LESBIAN CLUB. it’s the lady gaga side of boa i absolutely love but so mature and retro and fun. it’s such an escapist song rn in this pandemic. 

10. gravity - this one has the uplifting western pop sound i don’t like originally but then it moves into 100% korean ballad territory with the gorgeous piano. i DID listen to it a lot and felt very emotional about it but i like the chorus much more than the verses. the bridge is also amazing. 

11. start over - my only skip on this album.... the production and melodic topline have a lot of interesting aspects but the base of it is 100% U.S. radio pop and i just have an automatic recoil response to it. this could be a new halsey song it could be a new maroon 5 song... they wouldn’t do it with the ease and polished pop perfection of boa tho.

Takeaways from Therapy Game: Restart Chapter 07

HELLO EVERYONE! Gosh, how have you all been?!?!?! Two months flew by just like that, and with it, the next chapter of TGR with our favourite adorkable couple, Shizuma and Minato, has arrived! 🥰❤️💛

I would’ve written my takeaways as soon as I got the manga a couple of days ago, but it’s my bday week and I’ve also been distracted by CQL/MDZS these past 2 months sooo... FORGIVE ME 😭 I still love them, I really do!

Anyway, let’s get to it! In this chapter:

THEY’RE REALLY DOMESTIC NOW and looking at houses! 😍

Minato really is experienced in house hunting and knows what he wants. 👏

Shizuma really loves Minato and doesn’t care much about the place they’ll be living in, so long as they’re together! 💕😭💕

SHIZUMA LEGIT HAS AMAZING BOYFRIEND SENSORS! 🥰😇

They really don’t get to see each other much these days because of their schedules, so they really try to cherish the time they have together!

Their communication during misunderstandings is amazing... it’s actually goals! 👏 👏

MAMA IS FXXKING HILARIOUS! 🤣

These domestic dorks... I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! They’re so sneaky and know how to have a little fun (albeit at Mama’s expense)! 🤣😍

This adorkable couple will seriously be the end of me! 🤣😍🥰😘❤️💛

Minato and Shizuma sit down and talk about house hunting a little more seriously. Minato really is an experienced senpai in this field. He lays down some ground rules with Shizuma before they go through Shizuma’s list of potential homes.

MINATO IS ONE PICKY DUDE! 😂 He shuts down each and every one of the houses on the list, each for different reasons. Shizuma, on the other hand, looks at the silver linings in each of the houses’ shortcomings, leaving Minato to fantasize about a domestic Shizuma, i.e. asking Minato to help him cook, and even taking a bath together! 👀😍

Minato realises Shizuma is enjoying house hunting but hasn’t said what he’s looking for in a house, so he asks. While listing that his only concerns are the neighbourhood and finances, Shizuma blurts out potentially building a house for themselves one day, only to hold himself back from finishing his sentence since Tatsumi told him he’s being too forward/pushy (see Takeaways from Chapter 5 and 6).

Minato catches on about what Shizuma is thinking of saying, and starts to think about how ‘secure’ their relationship is and what ‘proof’ they have (of being a couple). While he ponders this, the ‘security/proof’ he is thinking of appears in the window in the form of a happy husband and wife with their young children as well as another male and female couple looking at a brochure.

SHIZUMA LEGIT HAS AMAZING BOYFRIEND SENSORS since he unconciously holds Minato’s hand once he gets a little insecure. They happily continue looking at houses and then walk around the shopping complex.

Their date is cut short as Minato has a client meeting afterwards, and they are both a little upset that they hardly have the time to see each other. Minato gets distracted by a cute and quite-detailed elephant lamp (which he buys) in the display window of a furniture store and proceeds to enter, telling Shizuma his client won’t mind if he’s late.

Minato asks Shizuma what he’d do with his current furniture, potentially purchasing new ones, and the topic of beds come up. Shizuma says a large bed would be good to get. Minato, the cute tsundere he is, says this bed would be for Shizuma. Shizuma says such sweeeeeeet words, like they’d sleep together in that big bed every night so he had to ask Minato what he’d prefer. Just before Minato can confess his true feelings about this topic, Shizuma brushes this comment aside, angering Minato.

THEIR COMMUNICATION IS AMAZING! 🥰💖 Minato actually tells Shizuma to tell him if there’s anything wrong because it’s worrying him. Shizuma tells Minato what happened with Tatsumi, and of course Minato just laughs, knowing that Shizuma has been that way (i.e. very forward) before house hunting, and even long before they got together--telling his coworkers about Minato being his boyfriend, looking for Minato’s hometown before they officially got together, reading up on LGBT life planning. Minato assuaged Shizuma’s concerns, saying he’s the only one who can accept/take on Shizuma’s straightforwardness and to never forget it. And in a very cute and somewhat teasingly seductive way. Shizuma blushes a little--he listens to Minato’s words but is left a little unsatisfied with how this went down/Minato’s response.

Minato teases Shizuma a little more, suggesting they go to a hotel since he doesn’t want to work anymore. When Shizuma reminds him his client is waiting for him, he pulls Shizuma behind what looks like a room divider. He asks Shizuma to kidnap him so they can just have time togeher. Just as things begin to get a little heated, a PA announcement in the shopping complex calls for Minato. Who would that be? Well, of course it’s Mama.

Mama is annoyed at Minato since he had to go to such an extreme length to find him, but Minato can’t believe Mama called him over the PA. They both talk about the project they’re working on for the bar, with Shizuma still tagging along. They all enter the lift, with both Minato and Shizuma a bit down that their little ‘date’ is over. The lift stops at the level Mama and Minato are supposed to get off on, but Minato is held back by Shizuma and Mama walks out alone... and is infuriated!

Shizuma and Minato laugh it off and proceed to kiss in the lift*, knowing full well how sneaky and somewhat naughty they were to do that to Mama. Deep in an embrace, Shizuma asks Minato again what time he would finish, only to hear that he would finish well into the night. He continues to say that it’s hard for them to see each other since their schedules are so off. Minato, looking as though he’s a little deep in thought, tells Shizuma they should buy one large bed since “there’d be no meaning in us living together if I don’t get to sleep with you every night.“ 😘😘😘

Minato then tells Shizuma he is really, really looking forward to them living together now, so Shizuma’d better find a good place for them!

Ever had a really scary dream? Tell me about it. I’ve had loads of nightmares but my least favorites have always been the ones where someone I love is shot and they had to pass away in my arms. Out of all my scary dreams, those are the ones that send me crying in my sleep/as soon as I wake up.

Where is the coolest place you've been on vacation? Vigan was great because it really felt like visiting a 17th-century town. Singapore and Shanghai were also fun because it felt cool going to places much richer than ours and getting to interact with technologies that we will never get to have here HAHA

Would you rather have salad or french fries for a side dish? Erm, unless the salad has spicy tuna in it, fries all the way please.

Ever been to California? Did you like it? No. Idk, it’s not the first place on my list if I am to visit the US though. Places in the East Coast and the Midwest personally appeal more to me - and I’m fully aware it’s because they’re well-known for being passionate wrestling hubs.

What's your favorite thing about the town you live in? I live right smack on the boundary between the more urban sprawl of Manila and the quieter, more peaceful and quaint mountain part of my city. It’s very easy to access either depending on what I’m in the mood for.

Do you like Mexican food? What's your favorite dish to eat? It’s great, but not my top favorite cuisine. My favorite dishes would have to be fajitas and chimichangas.

Favorite kind of pizza is? Quattro formaggi all the wayyyy. You’ll never see me ordering anything else.

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? If so, how long have you been dating? No.

Any brothers or sisters? Do they make you mad? I have one of each. My sister will sometimes piss me off, but it dies down quick. My brother did something unforgivable to me two years ago so that’s how long I have been constantly mad at him.

Are you nosy? Eh, sometimes? For the most part I know my place though. I let people share the amount they’re willing to, and very rarely do I try to pry.

Ever been to a bar? What was it like? Sure, had my fair share of favorites too when going out was still a normal thing. For me, bars are the best if I’m with the right mix of people. If I’m in a crowd I’m not necessarily close with, it can definitely dampen the experience as I will only be feeling awkward. The people in the bar will sometimes be a factor too – I will most likely feel annoyed if I’m somewhere that’s clearly populated by high schoolers or college freshies as they can get super rambunctious and loud.

Are you old enough to drink? Yes, have been for the last 4 (almost 5) years.

What's your favorite kind of flower? I enjoy looking at peonies.

Would you rather have pasta or chicken? Right now, probs chicken - preferably chicken wings because that sounds the most fucking yummmmmm rn. We’ve been having pasta a bit too much at home so it would’t hurt to skip it for now.

Have you ever dated someone, but made them not tell anyone about it? Yeah. Gabie and I got back together in our final months of high school. We were about to graduate and it was crucial we kept our record clean so that the school won’t strip us of our diploma and prohibit us from marching (it was Catholic school, sooo homophobia and stuff). Because of that, we had to keep it secret for about a month and a half. As soon as I got home from the ceremony and my family dinner, I shared the news on social media. So I didn’t exactly make her keep it secret - it was a mutual understanding.

What's the meanest thing you have done to a friend? I honestly can’t recall a time i deliberately set out to be an ass to someone I considered a friend. The one thing I can recall was accidentally misgendering Andi when I was still getting used to their pronouns, but I didn’t do it on purpose.

Have you ever kissed anybody with the name starting with a C or R? No. Those are my initials though, ha.

Why did you and your last ex break up? She wasn’t ready, she wasn’t down for commitment, and she felt suffocated having only been in a relationship throughout her late teen and early adult years. She really made herself sound like such a victim and she made it sound like commitment is the biggest sin, and so I blamed myself a lot during the first few months of our breakup; but I’ve since made a conscious effort to turn my mindset around and convince myself that I’m not at fault. Bye gaslighters.

Have you ever had a really bad fight with a best friend? Angela and I only had petty fights and our last one was in like 5th grade. Gab and I got into heavy arguments, but only when we were in a relationship and never as friends.

Do you like spaghetti? It’s okay. I like other types of pasta better.

Which color: orange or red? Red.

Do you know any songs by Katy Perry? Do you like her music? She’s...popular lmao, so yeah I know a good number of her songs. She’s in the middle for me; some songs I really enjoy, like E.T., Dark Horse, and Thinking of You (a personal fave); and there are some that didn’t grow on me as much, like Wide Awake and that awful Christmas song she recently released.

Ever had a near death experience? I suppose. My almost-car crash is the event I always cite.

What's your favorite song by Taylor Swift? Why is that your favorite? Wildest Dreams; it meant a lot to me on a personal level for a time; right now it’s kinda doing it again for me. From her newest album, I really like dorothea also because it’s a bit relevant to my life at the moment.

Pick one: apples or oranges? I guess oranges. I don’t like fruits but I’m more likely to take a liking to orange-flavored stuff, like juice or chewy candies.

What do you like better, being single or in a relationship? Why is that? I like being in a relationship; commitment comes easy to me and I love looking out for a significant other, supporting them in their dreams, and generally just having someone to focus on, build a future with, and spoil. Being single hasn’t been bad and I guess I won’t mind if I never found someone; but in the grand scheme of things it’s really nice to be able to love someone.

Are you close with your mother? Not really but our relationship isn’t as strained as it used to be.

favorite musician: the group that has owned my heart since high school is Coheed and Cambria, I’ve seen them in concert a number of times, they put on such a good show honestly. BUT I am newly really into Seventeen, they’re just fantastic and I’m obsessed with all their music rn. I can listen to their stuff on repeat for hours  ❤

last film I watched: last film... I think it was the Old Guard. Thank you Miri for putting me on that one. Charlize Theron is a babe in it and I am so so gay. 

last tv show I watched: I just finished catching up on God of High School. but I am  doing a rewatch of Fruits Basket, because i wanted to rewatch everything before I watched the end of season 2. I want all the emotions hahaha.

The Escalade carved up the night, a dark predator, just like those who occupied it. I’d felt almost guilty climbing into it instead of unlocking the mustang and letting her gallop down the open highway, but Butch was the pilot, and I wasn’t about to let anyone else behind the wheel just yet.

Staring out the window, I shifted in the seat. Dressed in what basically qualified as a uniform for the Black Dagger Brotherhood, I was still getting used to the all dark ensemble. The black wife beater, the dark leather coat, and holy fuck… can we talk about the leather pants? Sure, I don’t do ‘shorts’, and denim jeans were usually my choice of wardrobe, but these things were so tight I had /zero/ secrets anymore.

I was used to oggling Zsadist in them, not parading around myself. Every time I moved I felt like a cop was going to arrest me for indecent exposure.

“You guys always wear leather this tight?” I mutter, trying to adjust in the seat for what had to be the millionth time. In the driver’s seat, Butch seemed unnecessarily amused.

“You get used to it. And they wear in pretty quick. It’s the best thing for fighting out here.”

I muttered a few choice words that only had the Cop grinning a little wider. As he pulled up, I reluctantly followed suit in climbing out of the car. The cold air caressed every inch of me, and it felt doubly close with how tight these damn pants were.

My shit kickers ate up the pavement as we moved in sync together, leaving the car behind to venture down a side alley and into the grittier streets of Caldwell. I fought the impulse to stick my hands in my coat pockets, preferring them out and ready to use if we came across the enemy.

“So, missing the hunting life yet?”

I glanced sideways at my rotation partner. Butch didn’t look at me, his head instead on a swivel as he took in the night and breathed in the air, trying to find the Lessers before they found us.

“Well, I certainly wasn’t out looking like something from Magic Mike every night,” I grumbled, shaking my head, “but I there’s a level of ease to this that there wasn’t with hunting.”

“Ease?” Butch scoffed, looking surpremely unimpressed at my low level summation. “You think this is easy?”

“I think that when I ‘know’ what I’m hunting for, it certainly lowers the struggle factor,” I reply calmly, shrugging. “When you make an assumption about a death or a series of events that it ‘might’ be supernatural, you then gotta get there and figure out what ‘kind’ of thing it could be. There are levels to that shit, due diligence and whatever. But with this?”

I waved a hand at the alley, the street, the broken overhead lights and faint, echoing sounds of a car backfiring.

“I have to fight things that are strong, are basically like demons, and smell like the most heinous shit on earth. Honestly? Pretty fuckin’ easy to identify and deal with after the guessing games I’ve been used to playing,” I declare.

And of course, Butch didn’t really have a lot to say to that. He looked over at me with a ‘well… when you put it like that’ expression, and I grinned.

Then the wind shifted.

I almost gagged. My nose wrinkled as I turned on my heel, moving toward the mouth of the alley without giving it much thought. Butch matched my stride, all the training coming in handy right now as we approached in shadow and paused to get our bearings.

The two lessers were halfway down the next block, dark clothing offsetting their fading hair and features. At a glance these ones weren’t the same measure of ‘careless criminals’ like the last batch I’d dropped in on; these ones carried themselves differently. You could always tell who the real threats in a game were by the way they moved - predators always struggled to look like prey.

“So, next question, how do I get them from there, to here?” I muttered, eyes narrowing as I did a perfunctory sweep of the street either side. It was late, quiet and cold; the only other people or things out this late weren’t going to be the innocent, hard working average joe blows, if you know what I mean.

“I never did ask,” Butch replied softly, unsheathing one of his black daggers. “Can you fight with your wings out too?”

I shrugged, judging the distance and straightening up with a deep breath.

“Sure. We can do that in the gym next time. I’m gonna go get them.”

Butch froze.

“I beg your pardon?”

“Unless you wanna engage them in the middle of the street, we need them down the alley,” I explained, shucking my jacket, then the leather harness that holstered daggers and a gun. Butch looked like he was going to have a coronary as he leant in to grab my hand and hold me in place, hissing.

“And that translates into you stripping ‘how’?”

I glanced down. In a black wife beater and leather pants, I looked like I was coming from some sort of rave party. All I had to do was play it up.

“Will you trust me? Just…” I brushed his hand off and set my jacket further down the alley, my harness on top, blades out and ready to be snatched up. “I’m going to get them down here, and as soon as they’re in the alley, unleash hell. You take one, I’ll take the other.”

“I don’t like this.”

“You’ve made that real clear, but think about it,” I murmured, peering back out to make sure they hadn’t moved. “If they get too close I can always take off, right?”

Butch made a series of sounds that were suspiciously similar to ‘duck’ and ‘hunt’. I grinned a little wider, bracing myself to walk out.

“Here I was thinking that being only half angel would make you more tolerable than Lassiter…”

I had to fight not to laugh as I emerged from the alley, keeping my head down and wrapping my arms around myself like I was cold. In reality, the adrenaline surging through my system was definitely keeping the cold at bay. Making my way down the street, the pair didn’t glance at me until I was a few meters out. Not ideal. But I glanced up as they did, and purposefully froze.

They watched me, eyes narrowing, and as I took a deliberate inhale, I let my eyes widen, my arms dropping as I took a panicked step back. They twigged. As they took a step toward me I hissed, baring my teeth and fangs, then turned and bolted. I heard the thunder of their pursuit as I beelined it for the alley.

As I burst through the mouth they were half a second behind me, the pair faster, stronger, than even their faded hair led me to believe. But Butch was there. He let the first one pass, then reached out from the shadows to clothesline the second. I reached my daggers a second before the Lesser reached me. It slammed into me as my hand closed around the hilt, and down we went.

I let the momentum drive us into a roll, more concerned about what nasty shit was in this alley, going on my back, then the Lesser that tried to shank me. As we came out of the roll I pushed him off, but like I said, these two weren’t newbies. He recovered as fast as I did, the pair of us coming up to engage in a flurry of hand movements. Butch was having the same kind of fun.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see the Brother evading the Lessers aggressive haymakers, a blade clutched in his fist that kept angling for the Brothers head. Then I was too distracted by my Lesser nicking my arm as I danced back. I didn’t even feel the lick of fire up my arm, laughing instead and throwing the omega spawn for a dizzy as he paused, surprised.

I used the moment. I lunged forward, feeling the blade again against my side as I pushed through his guard to drive my blade under his ribs and up.

POP.

Light burst in front of me as the thing disappeared, its blade clattering to the pavement as I whirled. Butch wasn’t far behind, sweeping the legs out from under his and driving his blade straight through it’s throat, severing the spine. It went limp, black blood gurgling around the blade as its head twitched to and fro.

“That’s fucked up,” I muttered, shaking my head as I wiped my own blade off on the leathers and reached for my harness.

“You hurt?” Butch panted.

“Couple of nicks. Nothing major. I’ve had worse papercuts,” I joked, slinging my jacket back around my shoulders and grinning as I walked over. Besides, a little time in the sun in the morning and it’d be like it never happened. “You finishing that one or…?”

Butch grimaced, sheathing his dagger as he looked the Lesser over.

“This one was strong. I think I need to deal with the problem. Thing is, you good to drive us back? Once I inhale this fucker I’m gonna need to head back to V.”

Oh right. The Dhestroyer thing. Hey, these things smelled so rancid that if Butch could actually inhale their essence? More power to him. The idea made me wanna upchuck.

“I can drive,” I agree, folding my arms. “You do whatever you wanna do, n’ I’ll be here. Push comes to shove I’ll fly your ass home,” I add, wondering how Zsadist might feel about that.

Then there was the fact I was coming back a little… bloody. The male was going to growl at me, I just knew it.

Watching Butch drop to one knee and wrench his blade out of the demon spawn’s throat, I felt a new level of fascination as I witnessed the male inhale the Lesser, winking it out of all existence. It was now even beyond the Omega’s reach, a little bit more of his power gone from the world.

Sweeeeeeet.

Helping the male back to the car, I slid into the driver’s seat and missed my own baby all over again. If this was gonna be a regular thing, we were /so/ taking my car next time. The Escalade was just too much ‘gangster’ for this angel.

Butch weakly flipped me off as I said as much.

So @serpentine-rogue‘s Soldan is precious and I love her and want to protect her. I’m not familiar with Homestuck or trolls myself, but Soldan is still really easy to interact with without knowledge of it :D And very flexible, too, she’s interacted with a lot of my babies--

Then there’s @blackstardiopside and I feel so bad because I’m always forgetting to reply but I swear I love the mun and her OC. I love cinnamon bun characters. She’s just so sweeeeeeet, she even forgave Armadia for the terrible things she did and lkfmergmk I just love characters like that

And theeeeeen there’s @outcxst-muses and I am sure all their OCs are epic but I’ve only interacted with a couple of them. But still they’re so fleshed out and beautiful and I just -- skemklem aAAAAAA we need to interact more because precious just precious my precious

And then @dweebsmuses has Ivory, and I like her for a terrible reason -- she, uh, killed Nero a few times. And she’s actually managed to traumatize him in the ‘canon’ AU where he survived a couple encounters. And as far as I know she’s the only character that’s been able to do it so far. Granted, it’s because he’s not allowing himself to fight back because she’s human, but I still find her really sadistic and impressive. ... Speaking of Dweeb’s OCs, she also has @hellwrdn, and Match is just the perfect complement to Todd for me. OTP right there. ... It’s a really messed up OTP, not gonna lie, but an OTP nonetheless

@anxunusualxbunch has Leonard, too, and I just think he’s an absolute sweetiepie? Like he just wants to help everyone out and be nice. He’s another cinnamon bun and I always love those characters and wOOOO just good stuff I love Leonard. I must protect him

Let’s go with Teacher!AU Héctor this time!

Headcanon A: (realistic) Héctor almost never has his semester curriculum ready on time. During breaks, it’s required for teachers to have their semester plans ready to present at least one week prior to school reopening, but whether it’s because of touring with Ernesto or simply sleeping through his breaks or plain forgetfulness, Héctor always always ALWAYS leaves everything for the last minute. He’s also been known to make up curriculum throughout the semester as he goes, much to Imelda’s never-ending dismay.

His one saving grace is that he always has time for one-on-one tutoring. He even brings Miguel along, so that the kid can learn as well as help the older students relaxed (they’re always so surprised to see the little boy so attentive and following along with their playing).

Headcanon B: (hilarious) Héctor was one of those kids who always used to wander off, no matter how many times Enrique insisted Teto hold his hand or Tía Elena shook her chancla at him, he always disappeared in crowded places. Especially if there was music playing nearby.

This comes back to bite Héctor however, because Miguel is the EXACT SAME WAY.

Headcanon C: (heart-crushing and awful) Whenever Héctor is emotionally overwhelmed or too angry or upset to speak, he completely shuts down. At a very young age, he learned that crying and pitching tantrums was the worst way to get his Mamá’s attention, as outbursts would ultimately lead to her ignoring him completely, locking him in the hotel room they were staying in and leaving him in there to cool down. Like… a very bad time out. Except she would often forget he’d been in there by himself for five hours while she performed on the street or at a venue, and come back to a very quiet and distraught boy who thought she’d left him in there for good.

This is only made even worse after his fights with Ernesto. He essentially lets his friend get away with far too much invasion of personal space and emotional well-being, especially when it comes to his family. In order to avoid confrontation with Ernesto, he just resigns himself to letting Ernesto get his way, of only to avoid a fight or losing his best friend.

Hector will pretty much let anyone walk all over him, especially if he really cares about the person hurting him.

But if you hurt or upset anyone that is close to him? Be prepared for a wrath like you have never seen before, because if there’s one thing he can’t stand, it’s seeing a loved one in pain. Señor Rivera will GO OFF.

Headcanon D: (unrealistic but let me have my fun) Héctor enjoys Spongebob Squarepants. It’s a ridiculous show, and is definitely qualified as a guilty pleasure compared to his other film interests, but it’s strangely captivating how genuine a lot of the show is. And the music isn’t half bad sometimes.

His and Miguel’s favorite episode is, surpeusing no one, Band Geeks (AND ITS SWEEEEEET SWEEEEEEET SWEET VICTORY! (YAY!))
