I'm so sorry for the situation Antoine got into 💔. It was the last thing he wanted when he wanted to be where he is today. But at the same time, this path seems to me to be the right one.

Sometimes it seems to me that they are trapped in some kind of mirage where nothing is real. They are trying to live a new life and build a future, but they cannot get rid of the past.

They miss the moments when they were happy, the things they know so well. But where they came from, ironically, they could not be happy. This path they have travelled was not in vain. Now they have much more than before - each other. So I understand their fears of being separated, even for a while.

By the way, an interesting detail is that it is Zelda and Gio who have invested the most in this house, in this place, they are the ones who know how to let go of the past. While Antoine and Joe are still tormented by the ghosts of their former lives. Even if they have taken on a different form or incarnation.

So I think this trip is a good opportunity for everyone to deal with their feelings, no matter how difficult it is. ❤️

And I think of anyone right now, I totally agree with you, I feel for Antoine the most. Even way back in the 20s he was visualizing this life for himself wasn't he? In that brief moment we got to see what he wanted. For a little while that was exactly the way he was living, and despite their other struggles, he was undeniably happy. So him walking away from Zelda while she sleeps is in a sense walking away from that dream life he’s found, one complete with the stability, love, and freedom he’d always wanted.

Now "they are trying to live a new life and build a future, but they cannot get rid of the past...." that's so often what happens in real life too, isn't it? But what I’ll say about Antoine in particular is that him writing that song was him processing and healing from his past. He's able to sing about it and move forward with it rather than be motivated by it now, which I for one think is a hell of alot healthier than simply trying to get rid of it or ignore it (which I would say Jo and Gio and Zelda may be doing to some extent). Jo of course we can clearly see is still motivated by her past and her pain; but Zelda is certainly holding on to some of it too and that makes her susceptible to making choices based around it. It’s also only lightly hinted at thus far, but Gio has run to the desert to try and escape some of his demons too.

But what you said about Zelda and Gio is super interesting, because they've literally put blood, sweat, and tears into this land together. What's yet to be seen is if that house is destined to become part of their past too, or if they can somehow make it work together. But they are certainly far more attached to their current way of life than Jo and Antoine are now.

One thing is for sure, this trip is an opportunity for everyone to deal with their feelings. Now if they deal with them in a good or productive way is yet another question to be seen...

I was so disappointed when Larian dropped Patch 7 with its new evil endings, but no Raphael dinner included, so I vowed to make up for it with a dinner of my own. I was all set to color and shade, but things didn’t quite go as planned, and I had to take a little break. I picked it up again a few days ago, and here it is—finally finished.

I was hanging out at the karaoke bar, chatting with a beautiful woman, and we were really hitting it off. I threw a couple of flirtatious comments her way. She giggled nervously, but abruptly stopped and looked at the floor.

She told me that she was too nervous to hit on people because she's trans and worries that people will view her as a predator and that she might get hurt.

My heart sank. I let her know that she could hit on me in whatever way she wanted and I would LOVE it. We spent the rest of the night hanging out and flirting. We ended up making out. It was great.

But I can't stop thinking about how that wasn't the first time a trans woman has said that to me. About how unsafe it is for some women that they feel the need to give out fucking disclaimers to have normal interactions with people.

We have GOT to make the world a safer place for trans women. It pisses me off that there are men at the bar who are openly predatory towards me without fear of consequence, yet a trans woman is too scared to even fucking call me pretty. And that's because she IS more likely to face worse consequences for lesser things! Like what the fuck!

You need to always check on your internalized biases. Being queer yourself doesn't absolve you of transmisogynistic thoughts and behaviors. Being bi/pansexual doesn't mean you don't hold those biases either! If you feel differently about a trans woman hitting on you than you feel about a cis woman or a man hitting on you, you need to evaluate that.

Trans women, I love you so fucking much. You should be able to express attraction and love as freely as everyone else. I hope you can always feel safe around me. And I'll never stop fighting until you can feel safe period.
