OK so could someone please explain what the fuck is going on with Dottore's age to me?? Cause like in the Sumeru Archon quest he's referred to as that dude who got kicked out and became a Harbinger, implying that this was recent enough for people to remember him and his crimes against life itself or whatever.

But then in Scaramouche's backstory he was a fully grown adult 300 years ago?? And had enough bullshit going on to know what was happening in Tatarasuna and do his fun little murder spree???

And like yeah I know segments but they don't explain this cause they're clones of him at different ages it doesn't mean he can time travel.

So here's the only options I can think of:

1)He's like 400 but his dramatic murder-and-drop-out is legendary enough at the Akademiya that everyone still knows him by face (which doesn't really explain the Zandik notes but whatever)

2)He can fucking time travel now

Or 3) He's doing that Twilight thing where every few years he goes back to the Akademiya for shits and giggles, but the most recent visit is when he got kicked out

i mean i’m not saying that the council are innocent of mismanagement but part of the reason they’ve run out of money is because female workers have demanded equal pay so… not a terrible reason to go bankrupt even if there’s some more obvious failings elsewhere.

but more broadly the tories have been cutting funding to local authorities for over a decade now. combine that with inflation, commercial property valuations slumping post-covid, and rising demands for council-run services because of the cost of living crisis… birmingham wasn’t the first to issue a 114 notice and they definitely won’t be the last.

we wouldn’t be here if the tories had funded local councils in the first place. and yet rishi sunak has the audacity to blame labour for this, saying that they’ve bankrupt birmingham so we can’t let them bankrupt britain!! as if several tory-led councils haven’t met the same fate like in northamptonshire and slough? this is happening across the political divide!

i know local government has a reputation for being boring and petty (remember jackie weaver lol) but the reality is that they provide us with sports pavilions, public toilets, swimming pools, parks, various things across the arts sector, transport, libraries, community centres and events… not to mention housing, waste management, social care, and education. so like. everything a community needs to function. these are the things people are going to lose out on. and as ever… of course the poorest will suffer the most when they’re gone.

to whoever says "omg your 20s are the best years of your life" stfu because this generation sucks in the worst way possible. yeah i do get downtime but imagine having to work full time to pay all my bills and taxes, have to micromanage everything in my life (rent...), not be a homeowner because i'd have to sell several organs to get a mortgage, can't even fathom buying a car because the insurance sounds awful, have existential breakdowns every day about what i really wanna do in life, think about how scary the future is with all the things that are happening domestically and internationally, and even hanging out with friends has to be done smartly where we think about the price before enjoying a meal or going out and genuinely having fun. 20s are the best part my ass i just wanna get this montage of self-discovery and flop era over and gain stability so i can be the rich aunt in every chick flick buying the mean girls their birkins and drinking 2-for-1 margaritas by the seaside.
