First off, what the hell are you doing in Wyler tag ? What's your fucking problem with pissing off people who didn't ask for anything ?!
But let's see the rest of your bullshit in detail and tear it down as we go along.
But this ship is very much dead. There is hardly any traction towards it because the people who ship it make no sense when they defend it. They sound like they could be mentally ill...
Weird, Wyler is the most popular ship with Wenclair though. And for a dead ship, Netflix still took the trouble to make Wyler the first teaser for the new season...
And how do we make no sense ? It's you who had no interest in repeating things that the show and the show team have themselves contradicted for years now about Tyler's character.
And it's you who comes into Wyler's spaces to piss off and obsessively spill your venom. It seems that you are the one who is mentally ill...
I don't know how crooked you have to be to say that you're crooked to ship a canonical ship. Already, this is not even said for fanon ships, but even less canon. What are you trying to prove here ? You're shooting yourself in the foot by coming in to tag Wyler to insult us and try to seem like the smartest person when you seem like the stupidest.
By the way ; Do you think you're smart to say that kind of thing ?! That we are mentally ill ?!
Wow, for say that you must really hate the fact that Wyler is the first official trailer / teaser of season 2, otherwise you clearly wouldn't be here trying to impose your pseudo dominance...
I guess Emma Myers (Enid actress) is mentally ill then, since she says most of the same things we do about Tyler...
And not to mention Hunter himself who spoke of sexual compatibility between Wyler, that Wednesday had been Tyler's light during the events of season 1 and that if he had to imagine his character ending up with someone it would be her ?
You're really a piss of shit.
And I won't apologize for saying that.
You allow yourself to insult us with enormous condescension that you try to pass off as a form of kindness in the rest of your post ? Well, I will insult you in return, but head-on this time.
You are a big piss of shit. That all.
Tyler almost killed Wednesday and all her friends + he manipulated her like a professional and she felt humiliated because she never even suspected him and put a good person in jail because of him.
She will never forgive herself, let alone him.
Yes... and ? First, Tyler “tries to kill” Eugene essentially under the orders of Laurel, his master to whom he is forced to obey and who tortured him ? Note also that Laurel technically didn't tell Tyler to kill Eugene but to take care of him and that strangely, he's the only victim of Tyler who escaped death ?
Coincidence ? Maybe not !
And if you want an explanation for Enid, it is implied that the Hyde offers a second personality, different from the human version ? So, technically, the Hyde is not Tyler. It's a second personality. Why is everyone forgetting the recording of the psychologist that Donovan listens to ?! Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, you know ?!
Literally, these people are being dishonest on purpose.
Also... again, Wednesday doesn't blame Tyler specifically for nearly killing her friends. First, it would be bad faith, because she also did it in the show with Enid, but above all, it's a question of ego. No really justice in her anger towards Tyler.
She is mainly angry at Tyler because, yes, he managed to fool her and her intelligence. And she is deeply hurt in her ego and personal feelings.
But how would his anger on this subject be eternal ? On what fucking basis ?! Tell me !
Once this aspect calms down in her, everything will surely be better and she could potentially look again at the case of the Hydes whose research remains incomplete (which have always deeply interested her on the other hand), and therefore Tyler.
But to return to her friends, Enid and Eugene are fine. Wednesday can recover from what Tyler almost did to them. Especially since Eugene was under Laurel's orders (and strangely, Tyler who could have easily killed Eugene... strangely didn't do it ?), and that Enid explains it by the fact that Tyler was in Hyde mode, his second monstrous personality, that he doesn't seem to really have control over ?
But more than that, Wednesday is a person who generally takes those treated most unfairly under her wing. And Tyler is probably the one who has been in this sad situation the most.
That she hates him forever makes no fucking sense ; since although she is angry for the moment because her ego is hurt, she knows that Tyler had a shitty family life, was groomed by Laurel who woke up his Hyde thus forcing him to become her puppet and imposing a bond that makes Tyler want and love what his mistress wants.
Then again, it wouldn't make sense for Wednesday to be mad at Tyler forever...
Oh and... Just for pleasure : “Of course the first boy I kiss would turn out to be a psychotic serial-killing monster. I guess I have a type.”
Also... Wednesday didn't put Xavier in the cell because Tyler manipulated her into doing so ? Wednesday did this all by herself like a grown-up ! 😂 Because, for the recording, Wednesday is a narrow-minded and toxic person. And believe me, of all the people Wednesday could have upset and blamed herself for this, Xavier is the one she will get over the quickest. Because ultimately she just likes him as a classmate and childhood acquaintance. And again I'm being nice... because most of the time she actually just tolerates him.
Oh and Wednesday finally saved everyone at the end of season 1. Given her ego and her anti-heroine nature, I think she will eventually recover from her own mistakes / forgive herself. 😂
I get that some people are shipping them as some kind of kink ( monster serial killer with Wednesday addams) 😏. But this kind of shipping starts and stays in the dark corners of the internet.
This ship can't be acknowledged by a streaming platform to the general public ( which includes millions of kids).
Just... God, if you think Wyler is an impossible relationship to fix, then you've never read or seen a real enemies to lovers romance !
I literally read one romance where the guy almost killed the heroine forever by stabbing her in the heart ! And if it weren't for the intervention of other characters, she would have died ! And yet at the end of the story, they're happily married !
The enemies to lovers trope isn't as fragile as these morons think it is !
One mistake and the relationship is dead forever ? Wow...
Wyler is also so soft in that category too ! The antis seem like a bunch of fragile people when they talk about Wyler.
Literally every time these people try to put the Wylers down they just make fools of themselves. Because they just bring up arguments that have been contradicted a billion times or are comically weak, or they just say bullshit that is simply not true.
I repeat, enemies to lovers have existed since the dawn of time, it's literally one of the most popular and represented tropes in existence ! Whether in children's fiction or for a general audience !
What cave are you living in to dare to say that Wyler cannot be recognized by a general public ?!
Even in super popular books you have thousand times worse than Wyler ?!
“The general public can't handle Wyler” My god... hello Delena, Klaroline, Clarice & Hannibal, ect ?!
For information, as shocking as it may be The Vampire Diaries was seen by many children / teenagers in addition to adults in time. All my friends at the time and I were kids when this show started and we watched it, like so many others.
Hence children and the general public couldn't handle Wyler ? Wyler is as soft as fucking Reylo ?! Another great ship that the general public and children loved.
This is one of the biggest bad take I've ever seen ! The confidence you need to say this kind of stupidity ?!
Seriously, wtf ?!
Although he was groomed, Tyler was a willing participant in the crimes that he committed and he even told Wednesday that he enjoyed killing innocent people. Millar and gough folded the wyler book forever in that scene.
Tyler can never be trusted enough around outcasts to be released.
It's literally said in the show that the hyde is conditioned to like what its master likes and want what his master wants. It's not even ambiguous. It's said in the fucking text of the show.
And I remember that Tyler makes his fucking confession to Wednesday with tears in his eyes. Yes, what a great villain...
Oh and if you need to talk about the non-canon novelization of the show that most of Wednesday's audience hasn't read and never will read to prove your point about a canon scene and events from the show, we're going to have a problem.
They're the ones who sound like mentally ill repeating over and over again that Tyler absolutely loves killing without any fucking doubt... 🙄
And they go so far as to agree that the Hyde should be excluded ? While the show is literally about the treatment of the marginalized ? The excluded from society ?
And they think it's positive that there is a category of outcast among the outcasts themselves ?!
Clearly not.
The treatment of Hyde is something that needs to change in this show !
And for that, we first need to finish understanding how these creatures really work.
But hey... Not as if we had incomplete research on the subject, that Wednesday is interested in it and that she just happens to have a Hyde on hand to look into the subject... I wonder where this scenario could lead us ?!
But certainly not to a questioning of the treatment of these creatures by the society of this story according to the antis (#irony) ?! Of course, nothing will ever change for the Hydes ! They are too dangerous ! Long live the status quo !
This is driving me crazy !
Yes, what the hell would Wednesday who defends the oppressed and the victims, have to do with Tyler, the outcast of outcasts himself who was groomed by a psycho who triggered the Hyde in him to use him as a puppet and who has the equivalent of a mental illness by being a Hyde. Hyde by which she is fascinated, and who it is implied that she will complete the unfinished research on them ?!
Seriously, the writers racked their brains to write us a character like Tyler, a teenager with multiple problems, including family problems, a victim of abuse and whose hyde (the creature marginalized among the marginalized themselves, knowing that the whole message of the show is to accept the marginalized in reality) seems to be the equivalent of a mental illness, for people to be like “Yes, this guy is a pure villain who cannot have redemption ! He is rotten and the show is right when it says that the Hyde are too dangerous for the world ! Nothing must change and nothing aspires to a change of point of view on these creatures in a show where we are encouraged to accept the marginalized (and whose hyde is the marginald of the marginalized himself) through the only Hyde that we meet in person throughout the story who is only a teenager victim of abuse with the metaphor of mental illness !”
Seriouslly, the “Tyler will never be put back with the other outcasts because he's too dangerous” take it's so fucking stupid for a show about outcasts and injustices...
We present to you the outcast of the outcast, whose case in terms of creature has never been finished studying...
And you think Tyler will forever remain an outcast among his people and locked up for life ?!
WTF ?!
These people are tiring me out...
Because it lacks the "genuine" element: there is no love between Wednesday and Tyler.
I would like to understand how Wyler lacks romantic elements ? They literally have one of the most classic storylines in the world in terms of romance ? What the hell are you talking about ? Developed ? What would be missing ? My god, what bullshit. If you want analysis of the Wyler relationship you have my tumblr or those of @fullofwoe5321 @tylernation @wylerserver18official @ablatheringblatherskite @cosmic-lullaby @broken-everlark
Tyler and Wednesday only have one scene in season 2, according to the leaks we got. So this teaser is very much bait for the fans who still like them together 😏. Netflix is yet again giving false hope to fandoms about something that isn't going to happen.
Saying that Wyler will only have one scene in season 2 according to the leaks...
Are you aware that the leaks are not always true ?
Are you aware that it wouldn't make sense for Wednesday and Tyler to only have one scene together ?
Because a teaser is supposed to give an indication of what the new season will be about overall ?
Oh but am I stupid. In your stupid little shit head you think that Tyler will now always be locked up for life. In that case, why keep the character in the show ?
Fucking idiot...
You really have to be in complete disillusionment to say that this trailer / teaser will be the only scene between them in all of season 2 while a teaser serves to show the viewer what will generally be the center of the new plot.
Oh, and no official romance in season 2 doesn't mean no romance in the rest of the show, FYI. Especially since it is completely logical that Wyler (if these two were to end up together one day) wouldn't they go back into in love mode in season 2 ? They have a fucking relationship to repair first and also work on themselves each as an individual person ? Also, most Wyler fans, without even the announcement of a reduction in the romance being made, certainly did not expect the romance between Wyler to return straight away for season 2, simply because on a narrative level it would not have not been logical... Seriously, go find another hobby other than annoying people.
And even if Wyler doesn't end up together at the end of the show, despite all the logic of this romance, do you think that will stop us fans from shipping Wyler ?!
Obviously, you are clinging to Xavier when it is clear that nothing more will happen (since the character was removed from the show because the actor was accused of sexual assault) ?
Seriously, this person seems obsessed with the character of Xavier (who could have been an interesting character but who in fact remains generally average and a real potential ultimate shit boyfriend)...
But they got a slap in the face 🙂. since the teaser was met with massive backlash about the most unethical thing they did: dropping an innocent man and Convicting him of crimes he never committed...
Except the comments you showed don't show people being outraged that Xavier was sent to prison when he did nothing, just that they will miss Xavier's character.
You're thinking all by yourself, big girl (this is obviously a recurrence among the anti-Wylers).
And then “they did” ? What is she talking about ? Wyler fans ? Was it Wyler's fans who put Xavier in jail ? 😂
I repeat, you can only blame Wednesday for Xavier ending up in prison. Tyler has nothing to do with it, he never tried to accuse anyone to keep suspicion away from him. Wednesday suspected Xavier alone as a grown-up.
I'm so angry that this kind of crap is getting into the Wyler tag. Don't these people have anything better to do ?
I feel like I'm back in Reylo's time ! Because Reylo and Wyler are some of the softest ships in terms of enemies to lovers that I have seen and people act like they are some of the worst things in the world and that these ships are too hardcore for a general audience and calls us mentally ill for our thoughtful argument, which is ridiculous.
It's truly ridiculous and cheeky.
They just repeat the same bullshit over and over again, contradicted by the show itself and the show team !
At this point, we're not the ones who look ridiculous. It was them.

Season 4 pt.1 debuting with over 15.5 million views in the first 3 days and pt. 2 debuting with close to HALF the views in the same amount of days is bringing me too much satisfaction, sorry not sorry.
I truly feel sorry for the rest of the cast and people who work on the show, but I’m glad to see the fandom response reflecting into the views ‘cause I feel like sometimes shows, especially with this amount of success and popularity, take for granted the viewers affection and think they can feed us any crap without consequences and we’re gonna eat it up with no problem, like we’re gonna stay here no matter what ‘cause we’re addicted to it…doesn’t work like that, you gotta keep your audience by giving them something good.
Each show loses viewers from pt.1 to pt.2 in the debut and it’s known, but basically half of it is a lot (also considering how pt. 1 stayed at n.1 in the top 10 for over 2 weeks, but only 1 week later pt. 2 has already dropped at n.3 with lowering compared to pt.1 who stayed consistent)
Considering that Outer Banks had always counted on a young and loyal fanbase GLOBALLY that’s ready to hit play the instant the season drops, 8.5 million views globally in 3 days is really a strong message to them.
Whether you’re personally ok or not with the way S4 ended, it’s a fact that they screwed up with a huge chunk of their own audience that kept the popularity of the show alive and if they managed to lose this amount of engagement and excitement towards the series in 3 days then good luck to them to keep the interest alive UNTIL 2026.
I think they downplayed and probably still downplay the role of JJ in terms of engagement, S4 already lost numbers compared to S3 (after they probably lost occasional viewers over the bore s3 was) and I can’t even imagine the drop that S5 will be.
They screwed up big time and no matter how much they try to do damage control now, no matter how much they wait for the audience to calm down, no matter how much they try to ignore it…they lost a good part of their own fanbase and probably occasional audience as well.
IF the waters are ever gonna calm down it surely won’t be ‘cause the problem is solved and people got over it, but simply because people won’t be there at all and will have lost their involvement with the show altogether.
Maybe the Pates will learn for their next project to treat the set like an actual workplace and not a college dorm. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
I mean it with my whole chest when I say that without JJ I’m never gonna watch S5, and I have been close to an addicted fan of this show for almost 5 years, but the story died with him. They took away the character that was the symbol of this show and who’s story we were rooting for the most, and although yes, there is also other things to the story…the interests in all the rest doesn’t quite measure up with the loss. I know that many people feel the same way (and if you reading this personally don’t, good for you but I think the general response speaks for itself).
They doomed the show by killing the fan favorite, killing the largest ship fandom of the show and by ruining the storyline that created the most engagement and curiosity that had us rooting for it.
They took for granted the fanbase that made the show what it is today and blindly spitted on us thinking we’d be passive about it. The fans make or break a show.
Bring back JJ and you have the opportunity to make the GAG of the century and get the biggest positive response from your own audience to end the show…don’t and see the show collapse and lose it’s reputation and legacy for good. Simple as that🤷🏻♀️
I will never shut up about it ‘cause this is the biggest fumble of a Netflix series I have ever witnessed and the biggest let down I have ever experienced with a show (yeah worse than Game of thrones final season).

The cognitive dissonance is insane. Look, I really liked haladriel in season 1, but let's not pretend that their "relationship" now is the same; it's not, it's a festering dynamic.
Gil-galad and Elrond both love Galadriel, they worried so much for her and regretted putting her on that ship to Valinor, and she was not punished for defying the High King, nor was she put aside when they found out she had brought their enemy to their doorsteps, but somehow Sauron is better than them because he's in love with her and sees her potential? Like, did they all skip that part when Sauron manipulated and tortured Celebrimbor to death?
Sauron connected with 2 people in season 1: Galadriel and Celebrimbor. He failed to get Galadriel by his side, and Elrond had to help Galadriel calm down after his attack. Sauron tried to get Celebrimbor in season 2 by lovebombing him, but Celebrimbor rejected him, and that hurt Sauron so very much that he lost his mind and killed him.
In the end, Sauron did NOT try to get Galadriel to join him; he wants her submission, her subjugation, and he stabbed her because he grew tired of toying with her. It's thanks to Gil-galad and Elrond that she survived Sauron's attack. Gil-galad and Elrond watched over her, and Gil-galad seeked her approval publicly as their king before lifting the sword; everyone saw it.
Also, did they all collectively forget that Sauron threatened to use necromancy to keep Celebrimbor? He didn't stab Galadriel for her "good", it's all about himself, his own interests, his own gain.
oh, they're swiftly losing all sense of what they're watching, frankly.
(long answer below, i apologise for the rant)
I'm not even against haladriel at all, it was meant to be compelling in s1 because that's what they planned with the show: give the audience the kind of figure they will imagine at her side, one that'll mirror exactly the kind of character that is very popular and beloved aka the long lost king that is hesitant in leading and seemingly sees the female MC's potential when everyone else doesn't.
by the end of s1, however, it becomes very clear that any understanding between them was sauron's façade – and his using her brother's face to try and manipulate her into following his plans only makes you truly realise that by opening herself up with him galadriel has only given him ammunition. he does not respect nor care for who she is and what she went through, he only wants the version of her that he can keep at his side. the one that would be useful to him. he may or may not have been genuine at the start but that simply doesn't hold up against what he did.
this is also when they fully introduce elrond as his direct opposite. he is the one to find her, to pull her out of the water towards the light (here, let's all remember that the whole 'touch the darkness' thing is meant to be in water and the significance of elrond helping her out of it) and the one to offer her comfort. he leads galadriel back to herself and the sheer relief in her voice when she calls his name is so so obvious.
s2 does not even bother masking sauron to the audience: he presents himself as halbrand, yes, but he manipulates the situation and quickly sheds that persona to become annatar: playing into what celebrimbor wants and needs and ultimately seizing control of eregion. again, whether he cared or not for celebrimbor is secondary to the fact that he destroyed his livelihood and tortured him (personally, i'll never be able to forget the sobs and crying when the illusion falls, it was masterfully done and absolutely haunting to hear/see).
at the end of s2, he visibly tries to force galadriel's hand and turn her to his side by actually taking control of her mind. he does not want an equal, a queen as he claims, but a puppet that he can move and place wherever it's more useful.
all throughout this, gil galad and elrond have struggled on what to do and even clashed with her but through it all she has been treated as an ally and a friend. if they were short or angry it is because of the situation they are in and is frankly warranted as they are standing on uneven ground, readying for attacks from every side. and, still, elrond apologises (in 2x07) and admits she was right (when he runs back to lindon), still, he ignores all his beliefs to save her. because helping galadriel comes first, as we've already seen when he stops the attack. he can't help but try and try to come to her aid, to place her above even himself (by using the rings). and gil galad is the first there when she falls, the first to send her with the company, the first to try and heal her and the one that's there when she wakes.
they have not been perfect to one another because they are fighting against so much and they have different visions of the world – that does not mean that they don't care or value galadriel, just that they can and should challenge her.
a series where the only voice is the MC's and the MC's alone would, after all, be pretty boring.
#ive nothing against shippers of any kind#if you like hala/driel go for it#but *those* twitter fans are out of their minds#(u know. the ones putting elrond and gil galad as the actual enemies for some reason)#the rings of power#trop#rop#elrond#galadriel#sauron#celebrimbor#gil galad#trop rop the rings of power ask#elrondriel ask

Ok I have gone through all available evidence and I have a prediction.
Look I'm ngl I am watching Arcane for Cait and Vi. I love the show overall but this ship is what I'm most here for, especially after I spent the last 3 years under the assumption that Mel was dead. Glad she isn't. Point is, I really want CaitVi/Violyn/Piltover's Finest to be handled well, and I pay a disproportionate amount of attention to what happens with these two.
After watching the first arc of season 2 the other day, I was trying really hard to ignore the ending to episode 3. I didn't like that Cait hit Vi in the stomach and abandoned her in a pit after being all classist at her, but I thought, this is Arcane. Arcane is the greatest fucking thing I've ever seen, of course they're gonna find a way to make this work. But that made me think of it as a puzzle. How could they possibly make this work?
Option one, Cait sucks now and she and Vi don't get back together. I don't think this makes sense, because of the brand. CaitVi is a popular ship that just about everybody likes. A huge amount of the hype for this season before the trailers came out was building up assurances that don't worry, CaitVi is happening and it's not gonna be ambiguous. Take this teaser from like two weeks after season 1 ended, a couple of Valentine's Day icons, and one million tweets from Amanda Overton. Why the fuck would they make this season be about Cait and Vi not working out? It simply doesn't make logical sense.
Ok, so we're starting from the assumption that Cait and Vi have a happy ending that makes people feel like they should be together, and continue to want to play as them in the games and buy merchandise. That means they either explicitly get back together, or it's so implied there isn't much of a difference. My money is on zero ambiguity. Vi is the main character and Cait is maybe #3 or #4. Ambiguity about their ending would just look like a weak writing choice and they didn't know what they're doing. The Arcane writers don't tend to go for wishy washy.
But here's the problem. Domestic violence is bad. It's about the fastest way to guarantee the majority of your audience doesn't think two characters should be together. It would take a herculean effort on Cait's part to make up for that and honestly I still wouldn't believe it. To me, there isn't any kind of act of service that makes up for hitting your partner. Not even ensuring the independence of the nation of Zaun. Add on top of that the over the top hurtful comments about Vi's blood and class. It makes her look very much like, deep down, she thinks of Vi as beneath her. If she meant those things, a relationship between them is impossible. (Not to mention how many teenaged girls I know are watching this, and I don't want them to think it's ever okay to be treated like that, even in a fantasy series.)
So my prediction is this. The only way to make a relationship between Cait and Vi viable again is to render those comments and the sentiment they carry meaningless. How do the writers do that? Imo it turns out later that Cait intentionally came up with cruel things to say to cut Vi loose. She realized that Vi would never be able to kill Jinx, and this new explosion will make the situation aboveground even worse, and Vi still won't be able to contribute to the hunt after this. Vi has no future as an enforcer against Jinx and will probably get treated like dogshit as a Zaunite, so Cait is "breaking her heart to save her", as Tvtropes would say. In Cait's mind, it's better if she's left down here in Zaun.
What evidence do I have for this? It fits Cait's characterization as a genius who thinks quickly and several steps ahead. It fits the tiny animation details we zero in on of her stiffening her trembling lips and furled eyebrows. It un-ruins the most popular canon relationship in League. It allows act 1 to end on massive shock value but roll it back later to show that Cait actually does love Vi, enough to let her go for her own good.
I'm not arguing this is the best possible solution but it's the one I think they're going to go with. Amanda Overton and some others have repeatedly said that CaitVi fans will be happy with the ending to Arcane. Everything about the show(the opening, Netflix Brazil's Twitter account, the story) points to them being the show's OTP except for this one scene. I think Cait intentionally cut Vi out of her life by pretending to be much crueler than she wanted to be, to protect her and, likely, as a form of self destruction.

i don't care about m/f ships in tvd so this is really not even my business, but like ? how is someone gonna talk badly about the other popular m/f tvd ships and how the fandom only cares about what the ship does for the men in the ship (and not the women) and then also ship h@ylijah in the same breath? doesn't make sense to me
the show tried to give hayley growth and make her into a character that found a sense of honor and a moral code that was important to her. this is a big change from the teenage girl we saw in tvd who sacrificed people to get a flash drive of info on her family. but then marcel, who is hayley's friend btw, gets his heart ripped out and dies and the show has hayley immediately forgive elijah and hook up with him. do you know how little sense this makes for her? the show keeps on going with the characterization it gave her, for the most part, and when she dies everyone mourns her. even marcel. so that part with elijah didn't make sense and that's only one of several moments where elijah got the girl but it either didn't make sense for hayley or did nothing for her (or worse, got her killed? hayley's entire death was almost entirely focused on elijah and thankfully at least some of hope's grief. but a large part was how sad he is and how all his girlfriends keep dying, lol)
elijah's feelings are always what's prioritized in that ship, which is part of the reason why it's so bad. it's about his manpain and him agonizing over his actions and no part of that ship is good for hayley or makes sense for her unless you argue that he offered a bit of reprieve from the chaos of being a new mikaelson (for hayley) because the rest of them, minus rebekah, put her through a lot sometimes. even then i feel like that argument only works for maybe the beginning of season 1 and to ME it seems like hayley's character has completely outgrown him after that. there doesn't even seem to be anything there for her? it feels forced. it also flies in the face of her development and sometimes it can be good to have characters go five steps back and then one step forward or whatever, but this is not one of those times because the ship doesn't even have enough positives to justify that
tldr though, what i mean with this post is that while i do agree that the fandom (and fandoms at large) tend to focus on what men want more than women and that is completely fair to discuss/unpack, i also find it funny that people who like h@ylijah are seemingly not acknowledging that all of elijah's ships also fall prey to this issue. i'm not the police and idc what people enjoy. i get why people love all of their ships, even d*lena and i hate that pairing because of what it does to elena. but like. yeah idk, this is my two cents because i also think a lot of the tvdu fandom can have this weird main character syndrome with the way they talk about other ships in the fandom

rwby fans really are a different breed huh
imply the show could be improved in any way and they'll get on your case telling you that you're actually a hater if you don't just swallow whole the hot garbage mess that shawcross and luna pull out of their butts when writing a season because they didn't plan out the show from the start and just make it up as they go.
and to all the people who say "whaaat of course they planned it out from the start you just don't understand their vision" you're right about one thing, I don't understand their vision but I don't think they do either. In the Volume 3 Commentary video, it's said that Monty only came up with the Maidens after Volume 2. The Maidens that proceeded to become the driving plot point for the rest of the series to this day didn't exist in anyone's plans when writing the show at the start. Not satisfied? How about the fact that Neo wasn't written in until volume 2 because Monty decided that Torchwick needed a henchman. Neo had like ten minutes of screentime pre-volume 6 but became one of the most popular characters so they decided to make her a major antagonist, even the main antagonist of volume 9. That DEFINITELY wasn't planned before the show started.
I think the show could have been so much better if the plot was planned out from the start and honestly a reboot feels like the way to go to me. Too many times, the writers feel like they're not writing to actually tell a good story but instead they're writing to try and get a reaction out of people. Looking at you, bumblebee. Blake and Yang had one (1) interaction in Volume 2. In Volume 3, Blake runs away at the end as isn't reunited with team rwby until the end of volume 5... but somehow by volume 6 they've somehow become a thing? Literally just shawcross and luna seeing bumblebee being a popular ship in the fndm and going "here you go guys! enjoy!"
It seems like their goal when writing is just to make the audience do this meme
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b539f0d978dbde9fc06acf2c83553767/3a2bae29d1e3f2ad-56/s540x810/367b69f4f58dae870e5472f7c5127838a1150a5e.jpg)
"Whoa, bumblebee! These two characters are canon now and they totally interacted beforehand!"
or alternatively, "Whoa, Neo/Penny is back!"
I could make an entire other post about all the lost potential they had with the plot points that had been set up. Penny the robot girl is killed in volume 3 but surprise she's back in volume 7! That's not an issue per se but imagine the juicy angst steak if Penny's memory had to be wiped or rebooted because they essentially made a new Penny (being a destroyed robot and all) and so she'd forgotted Ruby, her only friend and Ruby thinks she knows Penny but this Penny is essentially a different person. But nope, Penny remembers everything and is a superhero now or something.
Oh and don't even get me started on World of Remnant. If your show can't explain your own lore in a way that isn't making separate lore videos to try and make your world make sense, there's a problem there.
I think this post is long enough though so I'm just gonna leave it at this: I used to really enjoy the show but as it went on the bad writing became harder and harder to ignore and I think the show would greatly benefit from a reboot because nothing of great value would be lost if they never finished the current series. The show had some really good ingredients but the cooks tried too hard to make something unique and ended up with something "technically edible" but not really all that tasty (and fans will insist it was perfect how dare you say anything bad about it but oops there I go looping back round)

never watched xo kitty but kittyuri must be canon. Her names yuri for a reason
I mean, Yuri is a canon lesbian and they did kiss in season 2 and have feelings for each other even if the situation is messy, so they are canon... but the problem is that the probability of them being endgame is not high... mainly because the other ship of Kitty X boy is very popular + the show has made her fall for him in this season and the marketing has really been pushing for them... so I don't really have much faith, also the fact that sapphic women and sapphic relationships on netflix have always been treated like shit doesn't help either, maybe if it was two boys I would have believed in it more since they actively use mlm relationships to gain views but kill off all the sapphic shows...
I still hope they will surprise me like they did in season 1 but yeah, I don't know for this one! Still ship them though and always will!!!

@sockdooe Are there legitimately, truly, and genuinely people who fight about that?
I'm pretty sure that the Black Lion, herself, definitively answered that question.
She came to Shiro's aid by awakening and allowing Keith to pilot her when Shiro was being attacked and on the verge of losing his life to those raptor creatures in the second season's opening episode.
She severed Zarkon's connection to her in favor of bolstering her bond with Shiro, because Shiro understood that the relationship between Lion and Paladin is "not about power. It's about earning each other's trust."
And, she cherished Shiro enough to hold onto his essence after his body was destroyed.
Shiro was the first to master seeing through his lion's eyes, all the way back in Season One.
He and Black had a deep enough desire and willingness to fully understand one another that she showed him her history and abilities that she and Shiro had yet to unlock together.
There's no debate to be had, here. Shiro is the ultimate Black Paladin, as determined by the Black Lion, herself.
I can only guess that there's an element of ageism, perhaps even ableism, and undoubtedly superficial vanity at play when it comes to the fandom's preference for Keith, Lance, and the pairing of the two of them that shall not be named. Keith and Lance are skinny, elfin-faced twinks with a cliche rivalry and certain vulnerabilities that appeal more to the younger demographic. Shiro is a square-jawed, six-foot-tall adult man with bulging biceps and abs of steel, and the sort of trauma that would take years to even begin processing, let alone healing from, who seems to be much more popular with the older, adult fans, and Eastern audiences. The younger, American fans took to calling Shiro a "dad", after all, despite him being twenty-five years-old; nowhere near old enough to be a father to any of the teenagers he finds himself put in charge of. I've also seen Keith/Lance shippers calling Shiro "Keith's dad", which feels vaguely racist, and arguing that Shiro "raised" Keith, which is ludicrous. It doesn't help at all that the show, itself, feeds into the ageism and ableism by sweeping Shiro's trauma under the rug, sidelining him when he's down an arm, and sequestering him and Coran off with the other adults while the teenaged- sans Keith, who was at least twenty-one throughout the latter half of the seventh and whole of the eighth season- Paladins go off on their adventures.
I know the intention was to kill Shiro off permanently before the producers vetoed it due to Shiro's popularity and status as the show's only (living, explicitly confirmed, and relevant) gay character. Perhaps because he has no one-to-one equivalent character in the original series this was a remake of, and Keith was the leader in that same original series, so he was destined to be the leader, here, as well. Or, because the VLD showrunners were under the- delusional- belief that they could have Keith redo what Shiro had already done, only better, somehow, because they prioritized spectacle over narrative substance. Regardless, it's apparent that Shiro is only still around out of obligation, come the eighth season, and there was no desire on the writers' parts to further explore or develop his character. Hence him having no family, and, by extension, no real support system, being largely isolated from everyone, only really getting to shine in an episode that's half filler and unintentionally perpetuates more ableism, and then being married off to a "character" who might as well be a glorified piece of set dressing for all of the personality and importance he's given.
It's absolutely mind-boggling to me that,
1. The majority, or at least the most vocal parts of the fanbase cared more about shipping and complaining about being "queerbaited" over Lance/Keith when Shiro is right there.
And, 2. It seems like Josh Keaton, Shiro's voice actor, was the only member of the crew who truly appreciated Shiro, enough to offer his personal headcanon about Shiro's family- that Shiro was raised by his grandfather- state that he intentionally gave the clone's voice a harder edge compared to Shiro's softer, gentler tones in order to distinguish between the two of them, showing his implicit understanding of Shiro's character, and even made a video tribute to Shiro after the show had ended.
Aww, thank you for enjoying my angry rant on Shiro's behalf. Believe me, it burns that Shiro is overlooked entirely as the stepping stone he was on the path toward gay representation in children's media, purely because this show's quality plummeted so hard, and the fandom earned itself a reputation as one of the worst in recorded history. He deserves to be honored and celebrated, as not only a proud gay man who told Pidge that "owning who you are is going to make you a better Paladin", but also as a trauma survivor who strove to remain gentle, patient, and kind, and devote his life to saving others.
And, yes, he also deserves the best therapist in the universe, and all of the cuddles. ❤

Not a surprise or a coincidence that two show with lesbian couple have been cancelled S19 and NCIS, almost in the same month and now on lesbian visibility week, they really hate us!
And another anon:
gahhh so sad ncis Hawaii was cancelled 😢 I really thought they had the green light for a fourth season. Feels really bleak for a show doing so well to be cancelled. Was it really just the wlw rep that killed it?
It really is upsetting. And I WAS surprised, anon! Not so much by S19, seven years is a long time and with 9-1-1 moving to ABC, it was a long shot they would keep both. But NCIS were supposed to be safe! All through the rest of the cancelations these last couple years, I'd think, well, at least NCIS Hawai'i will be fine. Look at the longevity of these series (cancelled in red):
It was a baby! It didn't even get a proper season 3, with the strike.
And to be replaced with what? The conservative safety of an origin story of the franchise's first main white guy and a show with also a long-running popular m/f couple, where one lead's a Mossad agent and the other's played by an abuser?
As with the BYG trend, it's not just the loss of representation that's so unsettling, it's the awareness that this is a bellwether for society at large. If there's no longer the same safety in writing us in as there's been in even these last few years, which hadn't reached any kind of parity, that's kind of worrying.
As for whether they hate us or if these were cancelled because of the wlw rep? While these last few years have given us an especially intimate look into the kind of openly terrible men in all kinds of powerful positions, from Elon to Zaslav, I think at this level this is mostly a business decision, which is almost worse? In the same way that a bunch of corporations decided it was good business to start marketing to us during Pride was, pulling back also indicates how they think things are going.
And how they think things are going is also pretty crucial here, because there are a lot of biases at play too. During the 2016 BYGs, it wasn't so much a matter of bad trends for us at large (at the time, lol, the bulk of them happened in spring and summer), it was more a culmination of a bunch of writers going "I have no use for this wlw character and can create drama from a death", more a disinterest than an actual hate. While I don't think networks are cancelling whole shows based on f/f ships not even involving leads, I think there are still some things to consider here:
First, it's simply more likely that significant wlw rep will be on a show that's more diverse in general. THAT might get a target on their back in this climate. It's not just queer rep but POC-led shows getting cancelled in high numbers too.
Secondly, that disinterest in queer rep means there's no real buy-in or championing of these shows, you know? Where an exec might have fought for another show, really believed in it, they're okay with letting this one go. Like, that's not where they see a big success.
There suddenly seem to be so few ongoing shows in general, I think any kind of course correction will have to take that into account, but hopefully it's sooner rather than later.

Hi, I'm Icy and this is my terrick propaganda post
Why should I vote terrick in the unpopular/niche dndads shipping pole, you may ask. Well, here's my best attempt at consoladating why I ship terrick, things I love about them, and why I think they're a ship that should be significantly more popular than it is:
Narrative parallels in season 1
This one I think is fascinating! The kiddads went through a lot in the Forgotten Realms, and the fact that they're the only ones who can understand what they've been through has been the basis of a lot of fics and posts I've seen about them. But I would argue, Terry Jr and Nicky can understand each others experiences best.
They both had their memories messed with in the Forgotten Realms. Nicky obviously through the trial and the two dads, two timelines things, but vampire Terry Sr literally ate Terry Jr's positive memories of his father, and given how long he was there, Terry Jr probably only has faint or negative memories of the real Terry Sr. They also both have a dead parent that they can't mourn properly because of the memory thing. With Morgan, she's not dead anymore. Except Nicky remembers her dying, remembers grieving for her, and in many ways that Morgan is dead. Glenn himself says so. And for Terry, how do you mourn someone you don't remember? Who you know you grieved but can't understand why anymore. And that loving one dad feels like a betrayal to the other. For Terry Jr, loving Ron feels like forgetting Terry Sr, and for Nicky his two dads are actively antagonistic towards each other. The fact that they go through such similar things in the opposite direction is a really fun playground to play in, and being able to have that openness because they understand it better than the others I think ads an extra layer of intimacy.
2. They're canonically best friends.
Childhood best friends to lovers is a trope I adore. I think the notes of this post describe it well, as well as this fic I accidently wrote in Aether's inbox. They have the potential to be really incredibly fluffy together, even from a purely platonic perspective. But it also puts a really interesting spin on my next point:
3. The Betrayal
Ooooooooooo Terry Jr having been the one to shoot Nicky's arm off was a goldmine of angst potential I was not expecting. The fact that Terry was basically begging Glenn to kill him out of a guilt is something I have thought about a lot. A lot. This also makes Nicky's potential reaction to Terry's death incredibly interesting, especially since Terry Jr went to hell aka Nicky's house. Post-season 2 has a lot of room for divorced energy, as well as the navigation of learning to date someone you never fell out of love with, even though time has changed you both considerably.
There are a lot more reasons why I love this ship, and you should go check out the terrick tag on both AO3 and here on tumblr! AO3 especially has some amazing fics (I strongly recommend this fic by Cookies, the one that officalgleamstar wrote, and all of Aether's fics but especially this one) and then also some of mine. Tumblr is perfect for passionate ramblings, and is honestly 90% me and Aether talking to each other.
If nothing else, I hope this post has given you some things to consider about Terry and Nicky, even unrelatedly from terrick. Oh, and go vote for them in the ship poll (@/dndadscharacterpolls)

13 and 25!
hi tj!! thank you!!
13. worst blorboficiation
steve harrington and evan buckley come to mind first. it's just, people see himbo character and go "oh this is a wittle baby, baby does no wrong" and it's like. these characters have done some serious crimes. (that's sarcasm. they're not literal crimes but they are crimes against women!!!!!!) like steve did fuck all to stop his friends from calling nancy a slut on a fucking marquee for everyone to see. evan buckley trapped his girlfriend by having her move in because he was too much of a child to tell her he kissed someone else. and you know what? i still love these characters bc they're so fucking messy they make mistakes, but they also try to do better. or at least, you fucking hope but sometimes the writing of the show is disappointing. see, the problem that lies with the fans of these two is that you have some fans who are like "hey they did this shitty things. but i like that they've tried to fix it or try to do better going forward" we love fans of growth. and then we have the fans that try to say that these characters haven't done any wrong, or they're perfect, or (god forbid) everyone else around them are so mean to them bc of 1 altercation. like i genuinely do not know where people get "chimney hates buck" narrative. like even if i've missed it and don't know that chimney still hates him/haven't forgiven him, i don't necessarily blame chim. i'd punch buck in that same scenario bc you know love does shit to you. and i'm not going to touch the steve fan specific nancy hate. bc well unfortunately i once fell into that trap and then i watched stranger things 8 times in one year and somehow i gained knowledge. (my sarcasm is so high to say i'm sorry) anyway i'm gonna shut up now. bc i feel myself spiraling and this is why i'm not really in these fandoms. bc i guess i don't watch the same show?
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing
that your special ship isn't canon? harassing the writers and the actors and anyone on staff over a fucking ship is weirdo behavior. offense intended. like what happened to sitting in your corner and shipping whatever bc it made you happy? the minute y'all started going to actors and showrunners is the day that shipping became horrendous. like there are so many popular fandom ships that i cannot stand. and i would be mean and i would be like "well this isn't going to happen" and i could probably say that x actor is homophobic. but i won't. bc you're allowed to feel what you feel about a ship. canon literally doesn't mean shit if the writing fucking sucks. and i've stopped watching a lot of shows bc of the writing and the story got stupid. (or they killed off a woman and i felt murderous. looking at you teen wolf. and the vampire diaries season 5. supernatural.) but does that stop me from shipping things from that show? no. to this day i still love my favorite ot3, scallisaac. scott, allison and isaac from teen wolf you would have been famous. i love ships that will never be canon. the rarer the better. learn to add a little fun and whimsy in your life and maybe you'll understand how f/f shippers feel.
make me choose violence

Boueibu Rewatch
Thursday's For The Boys! 1
Season 1 - Episodes 1-3
Episode 1:
- Man, when i first watched this back in the day i had no idea how much of an impact itd have on my life.
- boueibu is so full of japanese wordplay i can tell When theyre making a joke but not What the joke is. Tbh watching boueibu really helped my anime-watching comprehension cuz it taught me to think 'im sure this makes more sense in japanese'
- Once again I forgot that Atsushi is the class lead, surprised that didnt come up more in the plot ?
- Love how Shirai Yusuke began his career voicing Io, who is relatively formal and mature, to then go on to be a beloved chaos demon in the seiyuu world
- Fun fact the first boueibu fanart i drew was NSFW fanart of yumoto and it will Never see the light of day. Never. I'll just say it involved Love Sticks.
- GOD Im realizing how many times i've seen ep1 bc i was so desperate for More when it first came out, i watched and rewatched ep1 SO many times in that first week
- always loved that Atsushi's love stick is a clover and epinard means spinach. hes just a leaf.
- Will never forgive them for translating "ore-sama faiya" as "i am awesome fire", ore-sama hits so much harder.
- Context for when this first came out: i was in high school but going to community college for high school credit 💅 and intentionally was not making friends bc i was trying to figure out the whole Me situation, so boueibu was so damn important to me at the time
- I took one look at Akoya at the end of this ep and i have never been the same since, it was blorbo at first sight
Episode 2:
- OBVS the seitokai are my favs
- I think around the time this ep came out i was shipping Enatsu and Ioryuu mainly, but was rly ok woth any combo of characters
- i totally understand why En was and is so popular, he rly is the hot one of the main charas
- throwback to a small group of ppl using tawarayama sensei dying as a reason to call the show problematic bc it was making a joke of death 🙄
- zundar said go get that boy with ocd
- KINCHAN LEG, BEST TRANSFORMATION TBH
- ryuu saying 'sense-nai yo' lives in my head
- really incredible how genuinely groundbreaking this was, there wasnt an Actual Genre-Compliant mahou shounen anime before this, or since really.
- MANNN i miss you no 3 meters is just the soundtrack of 2015 for me
Episode 3:
- rly interesting this was the only ep where the enemy was a teacher instead of a student
- unrelated to the ep but Warera Seigi na Caerula Adamas was the best song from s1 hands down
- the binanshi contest existing rly solidified that this is a show for fujin
- ryuu: "theres 100% girls around me all the time!" (never seen with girls)(only ever seen with Io)(goes to all-boys school)
- i loved akoya's beef w ryuu mainly bc it meant i got to see akoya 😋
- ikinari komingu auto?!
- LMAO so many famous scenes in this ep!!! the fuckin bathroom scene with Io kills me still
- this was where i learned the word aniki
- back in the day they used Yumoto not being affected by kurotori's spell as a reason that he's aspec and tbh i still headcanon that for said reason alone
- i know its a hallmark of boueibu but i always wished different characters could give speeches that saved the enemies. imagine T_T
- terra charisma house would approve of this message

Propaganda under the cut
Relena Peacecraft
She made the mistake of having a crush on the serial killer/child soldier lead character, and also wearing pink. Like, she's one of the OG characters to have a "-bashing" tag on FFN and then AO3. The other half of the yaoi pair was a boy with a butt-length braid, a fake American name, and a priest outfit. Poor Ms Peacecraft never stood a chance.
Relena is a very competent and accomplished character with her own plot lines and goals in a series full of complicated political and military upheavals. The main characters are 5 teenage boys who pilot Gundams, and each boy has at least one potential female love interest counterpart (all of whom are interesting characters in their own right). Relena is the counterpart to the main pilot, Heero. Her importance to Heero and the story is substantial enough that yaoi shippers often feel the need to kill her off specifically, while other female characters get to play the roll of supportive fujoshi friend to the yaoi ships instead. The hate for Relena was truly vitriolic in the height of the yaoi fandom in the mid 90s/early 00s, so much so that the memories of her tortures live on in my memory to this day…
she suffers the indignity of being an implied LI in the most fujobait season of gundam ever and for that she had to die (in fanfiction) just look at any 1x2x1 fic on any platform, be it ffn or private website or anywhere, she gets vilainized to hell and back, if relena does not win this fuckign poll i'm goign to jump off a bridge she was villainised SO FUCKING HARD have you ever tried looking for any 1x2 fic that doesn't have relena bashing. it's impossible. she deserves a hefty victim's compensation from Big Yaoi is all i'm saying.
Ada Wong
A mysterious and capable agent of a shadowy bioterrorism organization, she has a romance with government agent Leon S Kennedy spanning multiple games and movies. No one knows her true loyalties, but Leon trusts her. But, who cares! Leon and Chris argued once and that means they must be in love. Ada has also been convicted of fandom high crimes of lying to the fandom's babygirl and doing morally grey things while not being a man.
lots of explicit romantic chemistry with leon kennedy but large parts of the fandom treat her like a heartless monster who only hurts him and uses him for her goals so that they can pair him with a guy (its hard to be a girlboss)
She has a will-they-won't-they relationship with Leon in Resident Evil 2, 4, and 6. But since m/m ships like Chris/Leon and Luis/Leon are really popular, she's usually written out of fan content completely or, in rare cases, she's seen as a "mean lesbian" or antagonist to Leon's potential yaoi moment. I love her so much she doesn't deserve it :(

5 headcanons from a Trollhunters AU of your choice?
So there's this AU that I've had vague ideas about for a while, a roleswap where I swap all the canon ships (not counting Word of God ships and ships where we never see one of the characters). Do note that while the canon ships are getting swapped, the only canon ship that definitely gets together in this AU is Jlaire. (Staja and Darby are both maybe's, but I'm leaning no because IDK how much sense they'd make in this 'verse. Everything else is a NOTP for me.) (Also due to the amount of canon ships, you get more than 5 headcanons.)
Stricklake: Waltolomew is Jim's dad. Jim's bio mom walked out on them when Jim turned five - she accidentally saw Strickler in his true form, and she just wanted to escape. She was concerned that Jim wasn't human either, and she didn't want anything to do with him. (She was right that Jim wasn't fully human, though that didn't manifest as anything other than a very mild iron allergy until he got possessed by Morgana.) Meanwhile, Barbara is a local doctor who ends up getting roped in after she sees too much going on with the local teen defenders, and also after she ends up as Jim's foster mom when Strickler went missing.
Jlaire: The last battle between Kanjigar and Bular took place in a slightly different location, one that Claire was able to ride her bike to. She picked up the amulet and wasn't detected as quickly as Jim was in canon due to Strickler not going into the women's locker rooms. This allows her to have just enough time to learn to fight without Bular killing her for not knowing her way around knives like Jim does. Jim, meanwhile, has recently had the truth of his heritage revealed to him. If he serves the Janus Order well enough, then he can undergo the ritual that could make him a polymorph. (He never goes through the ritual but gains the ability anyways thanks to Morgana.) In the latter half of season 1, he became Team Trollhunters' man on the inside because he can't accept a world where Gunmar reigns (and also because Claire is very pretty in her armor.)
Dromura: Nomura became Kanjigar's apprentice, and while she didn't 100% expect to become the next trollhunter, she is miffed that this human girl with no fighting experience became the next trollhunter instead of her. She also briefly had a fling with Draal, who's human form works with Barbara under the alias of Dr. Aalbregt. Nomura once tried to get Kanjigar and Draal to meet in the hopes that Draal would change sides, but Kanjigar claimed that the impure was not his son. Ouch.
Staja: I'm not saying that Aja is the school bully, but she is rivals with Claire & Mary for popularity, with Claire & Mary being the femme popular crowd and Aja being the star quarterback. (Aja and Darci were neighbors growing up, so they're slightly more cordial.) She also teases Eli, but in a more friendly way since he's her little brother's BFF (and also Eli might have a crush on Krel). Eventually, the Tarron twins + Eli find out the truth. Steve on the other hand is the slightly spoiled heir to House Palchuk of Akiridion V. Seklos help us all.
Nanavex: Varvatos used to babysit Darci and the Tarron twins, sometimes at the same time, because he lives near all of them. He taught them to fight and can tell that something is going on. He doesn't know what. Nancy's son, husband, and daughter-in-law were all killed by the Zerons, and she was left to raise her grandson on her own. Between this and
Darby: I just can't see Darci getting the gravity cursed hammer, and I also can't really see her using a bow in this AU despite her using it in my seasonal amulet AU. I'm gonna say that instead she stole a fancy looking flute from the museum at the end of the second battle of Killahead. This flute was actually the flute that belonged to the Pied Piper, and it allows her to control small animals... and also goblins, because of the long-running raccoon joke. Mary never gets quite as involved in trollhunting as the others do due to being squeamish around violence, which causes her to grow distant from Claire and Darci. The coup happens earlier, Toby makes a cool bracelet for her, and Mary is selfish enough that she decides to befriend this foreign weirdo in order to get cool bracelets. (Due to the coup happening earlier, the two supernatural groups meet earlier. Toby gets to meet Vendel, who is more impressed with him than in canon. Vendel also likes Toby better than Steve.)
Stuart x Gwen: "The bounty hunter (Stuart) you (Morando) sent after us (Steve, Nancy, and Toby) became part of our found family." Meanwhile, I have two potential takes on Gwen. The first is that she's an untrustworthy rogue agent, willing to sell alien tech but also willing to sell secrets to whomever she thinks can get her the best deal. The other is that I replace Gwen of Gorbon with Guinevere, who was an alien all along in this 'verse, and Arthur thought that this foul creature killed his wife when he saw her in her true form. (In the latter case, there would be parallels between Guinevere/Arthur and Waltolomew/Jim's bio mom.)
send me an au and i’ll give you 5+ headcanons about it

I'm gonna say some things.
As someone in the Heathers fandom AND ships Veronica and the Heathers, we all know there would be some kind of toxicity to it so I'll explain what kind of toxicity it would be (for both Movie and Musical) and how (a sort of effective way) to write them to be a good ship with character developments without them being too OOC.
Before I start, I'm just gonna say that to make this effective, it's gonna HAVE to be a slow burn. Like, a 10 season show with at least 40 episodes each.
Each character has issues.
Chandler (this applies to both Movie and Musical) has a god complex (not to JD's extent tho) and is controlling. She can't let go of the control and she is an asshole to a lot of people. Her power over the school got to her head, causing her to be like this.
Duke (musical) same as Chandler but add ambition to it. (Movie) In this case, it's more of she lets people walk all over her and she wants to prove she can be number 1 corrupted her mind, turning her into more of asshole. (Take note, Duke wasn't MUCH of an asshole in the movie til the red scrunchie)
McNamara (applies to both movie and musical) has bad mental health. As shown, suicidal. In the musical, Mac's mood went from depressed to happy which is wrong. But in the movie, we see her ask Veronica to cut off school early to go somewhere. (Meaning she knows her problem. And I think they did cut off early)
Veronica (applies to both) is a decent person however her views get the better of her. (Movie) It's why JD's views of a society easily got to her. (Musical) And it's why she stayed with him, believing that there's still good in him. (Remember she only left him when she realized he doesn't regret killing one bit)
Why did I say 10 seasons with 40 episodes each? We'll need to have 2 seasons dedicated to each Heather. If merged together, each episode will be focused on one Heather with some slight background of the other two. For Ronnie, one season is enough, specifically focused on her learning to look at every angle and not just what her views are. The other 3 seasons will focus on their relationships with each other.
Now for character development writing, whether we like it or not, something WILL HAVE TO HAPPEN to them for character development to work.
Chandler already gets date r*ped, Duke has bulimia, Mac has shitty mental health and Veronica was already bullied a lot before popularity.
So the other three will have to witness Chandler get date r*ped and get her out of there. Chandler complies to the date rape because of status, so once they learn that, they will talk her out of it. Whatever they say, they will end up saying something that would make her question if what she's doing is worth it.
For Duke, they're all aware of her bulimia, but it'll have to be worse. Since Duke (probably) starves herself, she'll probably faint one day the other three will have to see it and help her with it. Duke probably won't go to the doctor (yet) but she'll probably try to (slowly) learn to eat without throwing up.
Mac, in her case, (I'm sorry) she'll actually have to almost die with her attempt for this to work. So the other three will help her and stick around her. Comfort her and listen to her problems. Because of opening up, she'll learn to accept her feelings and learn how to properly cope.
Veronica, something REALLY BAD has to happen. While she's already popular now, there are still probably worse assholes than the Heathers that will probably beat her up to the point she can't move. And the other three will have to take care of her and check on her a lot.
Why am I suggesting these? Why is it always "the other three"? Because that's when they'll learn to care for someone. They'll learn to protect someone, recognize emotions, learn how to comfort someone. Not just for others, but for themselves as well. They'll have to learn to care for themselves too.
Now the Heathers, after these, will slowly learn to be nicer while Veronica will learn to be more brutal.
The Heathers are mean to an extent, so they have to learn to be nicer. Veronica is already nice, just a little petty, so she'll have to learn to toughen up more.
But this will happen slowly.
It's gonna take a long time for them to process all this. They'll learn to care for themselves and others.
Chandler lets go of her control issues, Duke learns to draw the line, Mac learns to acknowledge her feelings and Veronica leanrs to look all sides of a situation.
And once character development is done, relationship development is the main focus.
While during character development there will be noticeable relationship changes, it's not the main focus, the main focus is them developing as people.
So in relationship development, we'll see them defend, care and protect each other, we'll still need to see misunderstandings and miscommunications. These are teens so these are inevitable occurrences.
Petty fights, misunderstandings, miscommunications. These will happen, since they are teens, kids still learning and making stupid decisions. (I hate the miscommunication trope but in this it HAS to happen for the sake of learning to accept their mistakes and lower their pride)
They will have to go through a lot more bullshit, while not death, a lot of shit for them to learn.
Again, it's a slow burn so while I worded this out this way, how it works in the actual writing will show the development.
There are a lot more ways that I can't possibly list them all, but this is probably the simplest one.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
