"You're so cute, I swear." Kaku would speak shyly with a smile before pulling you into a kiss.

Ran is clearly the type of guy who likes to show off whenever he can, seeing you wearing a shirt with his name on it would make him feel very special and even though he doesn't show much excitement, Ran loves any show of affection and love from you.

He would definitely show up wearing a t-shirt with his name on it, making sure you took several photos together wearing similar clothes.

"We're an envious couple, don't you think?" Ran would say giving you a hug, he would spend the whole day being silly for his honor.

He would say shyly and a little embarrassed, despite that, Haruchiyo would love to see you wearing that t-shirt and would definitely buy one with your name on it for him too, even if he just wore it away from other people's eyes because he was a bit reserved, Sanzu I would love to match his shirt with yours.

As much as it may not seem like it, Kokonoi loves romanticism and clichés, so small displays of affection make him feel like the most loved guy in the world.

As soon as he saw your name printed on your t-shirt, he would smile and let out a brief laugh, hugging you right after.

"I don't think a t-shirt would be enough for me, how about I give you a necklace with my name studded with diamonds?" He would say, buying the jewelry right away just to see you flaunt it a little, Kokonoi wouldn't waste any time and also make one with his name on it to honor you.

Inui has a certain difficulty in showing feelings, despite this, he always loves absolutely everything you do with the aim of making him happy in some way.

The idea would come from him, but he certainly wouldn't think that you would accept the proposal, however, as soon as he saw you wearing the shirt a few days later, Inui was genuinely happy.

"I also need one with your name on it, let's use it together." Seishu would speak with a smile on his face, he loves displays of affection and maximum cliché romanticism, for that reason, he never bothered to match his clothes with his.

Wakasa is the type of guy who is extremely difficult to please, despite trying to remain tough, his heart melts for you, so he ends up secretly loving all your romantic acts.

"Cringe" Wakasa would say as soon as he saw you with a t-shirt with his name on it, despite that, he would just be trying to annoy you a little since he simply loved the idea.

The same day he saw you wearing the t-shirt, Wakasa would buy one with your name on it, however, he would definitely not wear it in public just because he had a tough pose to maintain, even so, he would show it to you as soon as the clothes reached his hands.

as a former (short term lol) actor, he knows how frustrating it can be to just hear a "that looks great!" when you've worked really hard on something

if you draw HIM?? he's beyond flattered

and a little taken aback by how much you remember of him

Brian's big on trying to figure out other people, understand what makes them the way they are, what they're gonna do- so much so i think that he can forget how much other people soak him in, too

so when you showcase all of your focus and love for him through your art, it fixes up his worldview a little bit

he has a big burst of that "this is why i love you" feeling and he looks at you with the biggest dopiest smile

if you let him keep any of the work you do he'll try to find a way to keep at least one of them on him at all times

Ongoing Series - Thai

My Stand-In (Thai Fri iQIYI) ep 1 of 12 eps - Adaptation of Chinese novel Professional Body Double by Shui Qiang Cheng. Stars Up (Lovely Writer) and Poom (Bake Me Please) directed by the same team as KP (not a recommendation IMHO - my biggest criticism of KP was the clashing directing styles). The MDL description made it sound complicated af but actually it's not so bad. In fact it's GOOD.

Stuntman Joe dies on the job and wakes up in the body of another Joe who has an entirely different life. But our Joe just gets his new body right back into his old existence, full of friends, enemies, and one troublesome ex. Poom is absolutely killing it in the lead. Mek is perfectly cast as the Actor du Jerk. I’m not sold on Up’s bratty brokenhearted rich kid... yet. The show though, I like it. I like a one (two) night stand starting things off and I like a lot of morally gray characters. Fun fun!

Deep Night (Thurs iQiyi) ep 8fin - The lesbian moms are the cutest thing in the world and my favorite thing this week. Bar none.

Summation:

It's about a host club and all the gay boys in it and some stuff that's not important because... PEOPLE OF EARTH WE HAVE A HONEST REP OF POLY IN A BL. Stand up and raise your hands in prayer to the Thai BL gods because sure as shit no one else was ever going to give this to us. For that alone this show gets 8/10 from me. Bonus Lesbian moms and great kisses.

Two Worlds (Thurs iQIYI) ep 7 of 10 - Say what you want about MaxNat all these years that they've been paired makes them great onscreen boyfriends. And you know me, I'm a total sucker for linguistic negotiation. Makes my heart go all mushy. That said, now that the leads are together, I’m really uninterested in all the drama around the ex-boyfriend/triangle. I'm glad this is only 10 eps.

1000 Years Old (Thurs iQIYI) ep 11 of 12 - They gave me the tiniest teaser for the kinky vampire BL that I have wanted my whole life. And now I'm just fucking annoyed with the rest of the show. 

We Are (Weds iQIYI) ep 3-4 of 16 - Q & Toey are the only interesting thing going on. I actually didn’t like this pair in My School President, but I’m enjoying them here. The others are all fine but these two have my heart. I have questions like: did Phum ever get his shopping bags back? And why is Phum driving a different colored car half way through the ep?

Only Boo! (Sun YouTube) ep 3 of 12 - The quality is good (it’s GMMTV) but the acting is... not. Still I loved that Moo just made the confession for both of them. Very in character. Does this plot remind anyone else of Footloose? Just me? Side couple was cute but now a bit too stalker for me. 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Unknown (Taiwan Tues YouTube & Viki) ep 10 of 12 - It’s fantastic. Such a great show. We are so lucky. This is basically Taiwan’s The Eights Sense. I didn’t know they had it in them, but I’m really glad that they did.

Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 3 of 10 - As JBL’s go this is way more my speed (than Alaska). It’s just so sweet and awkward but charming about it. The confession was so earnest. 

Blue Boys (Korea YouTube) 2 of ? No MDL link - It’s very sexy this one. Not sure what Korea thinks it's doing, but I’m not mad about it. 

Gray Shelter (Korea Thurs iQIYI) ep 5fin - summation: About a slacker nursing a crush on the (brief) older stepbrother who abandoned him. Upon finding him again he moves in with him, upends the mans lost suffering life. A dark gritty piece with confusing subs making it too chewy to really grok. It's trying to do too much for its length. The tension is real and the acting is good, it's just everything else stymied clean execution of the core concept. Frankly I spent this show expecting (and wanting them) to just fall into bed together - in a kind of desperate fight sex. It didn’t happen, and I’m disappointed by the non-ending we got. (Whether it’s going to have more in the series or not.) 7/10 I'm open to changing the rank if a part two fixes this one's flaws.

Boys Be Brave AKA Roommates (Korea Thurs Viki) ep 1-2 of 8 - Oh dear. Terrible hair. Jock nerd pairing. OCD baby cakes. Cohabitation trope. Killer side couple. Def unhinged. 

At 25:00 in Alaska AKA 25 Ji Akasaka de (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 2 of 10 - I’m still genuinely not sure about this one. It’s just a little too awkward for me in the wrong way. I expect all Japanese BL to have a certain aura of awkwardness so I don’t know what it is about this one turnign me off. I do enjoy that we’re getting both stories, the one between the actors, and a little bit of the roles that they’re playing on screen but... yeah

Love is like a Cat (Korea Mon Viki) eps 7-8 of 12 - The leads finally had a moment but there is negative chemistry. Why am I watching this? 

It's airing but...

Lady Boy Friends (Thai WeTV grey) 16 eps - reminds me a bit too much of Diary of Tootsies only high school. Not my thing. DNF unless it turns a corner and is truly amazing.

he isn’t very big on physical affection since he’s scared he’ll accidentally hurt you, but when he is ready and willing to, he will hold pinkies with you when you guys are out somewhere as a small gesture of trust.

B = Best friend

you guys would meet and become friends during the job, after all it WAS you and his first days and rookies so a spark naturally started. but he would be such an awkward friend, like people would think you’re holding him hostage type of awkward. he would always be kinda and considerate but again, he’s super fucking awkward and has TERRIBLE dad jokes.

C = Cuddles

he likes cuddling surprising, he finds it calming to have your body weight on top of him. even if you tell him you’re scared of crushing his ribcage, “if i die i don’t mind, it would be a fine death.” it makes you worry about what’s wrong with him, but he just needs you that close so that he can hopefully meld himself with you so you guys could be one!

D = Domestic

he would absolutely love to marry you bust he’s scared of losing you, he finds it better to being just a couple than marriage. he thinks it won’t hurt as much if you do end up leaving or dying early if you guys are just a couple.

but he already acts as if he’s your husband, cooking you delicious meals and cleaning up here and there. he always feels the need to move so him doing those small things for you makes him feel accomplished and happy, he’s just the cutest uouhfjdhd

E = Ending

if he were to end things with you (which i highly doubt but wtv) it would be as gentle as he possibly could muster. it would honestly be more nerve wracking for him since he’s scared of you hating him or cutting him off forever, again i don’t think he would ever want to break up with you but if he had to it would be gently.

F = Fiancé

leon definitely want to get married but he wants to wait for a very special moment and not in the middle of a fucking zombie apocalypse, yknow? he thinks that gross undead creatures and a giant creature chasing him isn’t the best proposal spot, he wants to propose on a pretty beach when he feels he’s mature enough.

G = Gentle

leon treats you like you’re made of glass sometimes, he tries to prevent the most minor things from hurting you. sleeping in the bed with him? he’s putting a pillow to the side that has the floor. reaching for something? he’ll get it for you or pick you up to get it. he is absolutely overprotective towards you and it’s adorable.

H = Hugs

he is a really awkward hugger but he loves hugs, he just has trouble with hand placement. he doesn’t wanna make you uncomfortable or seem like he doesn’t wanna hug up to you, he also refused to let you hug him after the raccoon city day without him taking a shower first.

he said it in front of the facility as soon as it exploded, he really hoped you didn’t hear him…but you did! he says it on the daily, sometimes you think he just says it to say it. you hand him his phone from a different room? i love you. you hold the door open for him? i love you. it’s his favorite phase for you!

J = Jealousy

he’s absolutely jealous, but not in the “super hot dude pinning you to a wall” type way but in a “pls look at me instead pleasepleaseplwaseplease” way. he is absolutely whiny when you give other men attention, he’ll awkwardly stand behind you and hold onto your pinky as you continue conversation. he tries to be intimidating but he looks to much like a puppy to any other person :(

K = Kisses

he loves kisses, he’s always kissing your hands or your head but he feels like he has to earn kissing you on the lips. if you have any scars he’ll love kissing those to! but if you were to give him a kiss, aim for the cheeks. cheeks kisses make him go completely red and make him all warm and fuzzy inside.

L = Little ones

he’s very strange around kids, he’ll give a little head nod or a wave to them if they’re staring at him. but other than that he would prefer to stay away from children, they scare him more than zombies do.

M = Mornings

he’s always bright and early doing something around the house, by the time you wake up he’s in the kitchen focusing far to hard on trying to flip the perfect pancake. anything to make sure you have a nice and well balanced breakfast, so it has to be perfect damnit!!!

N = Night

he likes to have you in his arms at night, he thinks feelings your heartbeat on any part of him is therapeutic. he sleeps after you fall asleep though, he wants to make sure you get a good nights rest and is willing to sacrifice his own sleep for that to happen.

O = Open

he started opening up a couple months after you guys got together, he’s very open about everything that it’s a little scary. again he’s awkward so it makes everything else like the execution a big strange, but he would rather die than lie to you for no reason.

P = Patience

he’s a semi patient person, he has his limits especially if you or him are in danger. aside from this he is very much a normal little guy!

Q = Quizzes

he knows EVERYTHING about you, it doesn’t matter if you told him or not. he reads up you files once and awhile just to see your younger pictures cause he thinks they’re cute and dorky, he thinks he’s being a creep but he just can’t help it!! he wants to know all about you!!

R = Remember

by far his favorite memory he remembers is when you kissed all over his face when you saw him again, you had thought he died and he definitely wasn’t expecting an ambush of kisses to the face. he couldn’t even look at you after that he was so red faced and embarrassed.

S = Security

leon is overprotective as hell, he has to remind himself that you can also do stuff without exploding or dying. he just can’t help it, you’re so important to him and he would feel horrible if you hurt yourself when he could’ve easily prevented it.

T = Try

he always tries to go all out for anniversary’s and holidays for you, he thinks you’re the most precious thing in the world to him so he wants to treat you like gold.

U = Ugly

he has a really bad habit of cutting you off or not listening to you all together, he doesn’t mean to but it happens more than he likes. it makes his heart hurts when you’re talking about something you love but suddenly go quiet when you realize he’s not paying attention, he apologizes profusely and gives u big smooches :((

V = Vanity

he isn’t concerned with his looks at all, he just makes sure he doesn’t smell bad when he’s around you and makes sure that his teeth are brushed before he kisses you.

you are literally the only thing he has left, he would kill for you if it was necessary. he feels as though he would just stop working as a human if you guys broke up or if you died, he needs you to be with him so he can feel whole.

physical touch

physical touch is one of those love languages that he barely expresses, he warms up to it as time goes on but w his trauma he has a hard time with physical touch esp in early months of ur relationship. however. after you gain most of his trust, hugs are a daily occurrence! however this one is very important to him since he never knows if he'll come back alive and if he's gonna die he wants to die remembering how your hands felt wrapped around him or something idk???

I have the cutest image in my head about Angel being afraid to look at them, all his insecurities in his mind (that all sound like Valentino), roaring super loud. As Angel Dust gets to the end of his pregnancy, he's very very done with it all, he's serving these wriggly brats an eviction notice. When walking up and down the hotel stairs doesn't work, he goes to the pregnancy books Charlie had swiped from the human realm for him. A few pages later, he's slamming his hand on the bar and saying to Husk 'you need to fuck me. a lot. now.' Husk just blinks like '.......yes ma'am.' And he does, Angel is a little awkward at first, unsure if Husk will find him attractive like this. But when he admits this to his husband, Husk is so gentle about it and promises that he'll show him exactly how gorgeous he thinks he is. And he makes good on his promise, Angel actually enjoys those last couple of days. Of course when it actually starts he's like 'what the fuck have I done'

The angst comes from the fact that all the abuse he's suffered has trained Angel to hide when he feels pain, to never admit that it's bothering him, like he has to do at the studio. So even as his labour drags on and on and gets worse, he's still insisting he's fine and staying completely silent and insisting he doesn't need anything. Of course Husk immediately calls bullshit and when they're alone, he strokes his hair and promises that he doesn't need to be silent to be brave, he's brave anyway. And he doesn't need to hide when it hurts or refuse to ask for help, that's his whole job? He's here for Angel no matter what. And thats when Angel breaks and admits how scared he is and how he doesn't think he can do this. Husk promises him he can, he wouldn't lie to his Angel about that. He promises he won't leave his side for a second and they'll do it together. Angel feels a lot better after that and Husk manages to get him into bed so things can get serious

As for whose there, Vaggie clears the rest of the Hotel family out but as Charlie's leaving, Angel catches her hand like look obviously he doesn't care one way or another, don't be weird about this, don't cry but...you can stay. if you want. because he doesn't care, obviously... Of course Charlie can't help tearing up a little and squeezes his hand, of course she'll stay. So it's her and Husk supporting Angel.

Husk is so calm throughout it all, he's the perfect support, even when Angel is swearing up a storm at him in Italian with every contraction. Charlie asks what he's saying and Husk hums mildly like you don't want to know, princess and keeps rubbing Angel's back. Of course when the twins arrive and Angel is cleaned up and having a well earned rest, Husk goes and screams into a pillow to get all the pent up stress out. But in the moment he's calm, just being a rock for Angel to cling to, singing to him when he asks for a distraction, ignoring the mushy looks from Charlie

But it is Bad for a long long time until Angel feels that first warm weight on his chest and realises oh fuck, he actually did it, there's a baby in his arms, his own baby. Bella comes first so he comes back to himself and sees his little daughter squeaking and snuffling and she's just the most perfect thing he's ever seen. He just laughs in disbelief and strokes her damp fur and tells her she felt a hell of a lot bigger ten seconds ago. Husk's just silently crying, grinning so wide and kissing Angel's head over and over telling him he's fucking amazing. And of course he gets to hold Bella for the first time while Angel delivers Howie and he just can't believe that a loser like him made something so perfect. Two perfect something's in fact, when their son is born too.

I think things go a little wrong when Howie is born, just for a while. He's turned the wrong way and there's a very scary moment where he isn't breathing but Charlie intervenes, a little bit of her sorcery and his eyes are opening and he's squeaking and snuffling. Angel is shaking and clinging to him in relief, croaking at Charlie that not even a minute old and she's already saving their lives? Charlie just nods and needs to lie face down on the floor for a while. But first she gets to go down and announce the good news to the rest of the hotel family who are just delight

After the twins are sleeping soundly, Husk helps Angel shower and there's just a moment where he has to hold him because fuck he loves him more than anything thats ever existed right now and he's so proud of him. And Angel is just glowing, yeah he's kind of amazing huh?

Alright, time for my opinion on Solarballs ships

I’d like to start by saying that no matter what fandom I join I tend to only support the official or canon ships. The reasons for that are:

1. I’m not a fan of romantic stuff as a whole, even makes me terribly uncomfortable sometimes

2. I just can’t imagine relationships in my head, so I need something to guide me like a text or better some type of imagery which is usually non-existent or poorly executed when unofficial. So the canon ships are easier for me to understand by default

3. I’m too into friendship or family dynamics, when I see characters who aren’t a couple I already imagine them in those types of settings, so the ships with them don’t make sense to me anymore

But even with all that I can say that I’m not really against most of the ships. Some of them even seem cute and a few of them I even ship myself, tho it’s rare

So today in this post I wanna state my unwanted opinion about the most popular ships in the Solarballs fandom.

Let’s start with the +- canon ones

1. Astrodude x his wife

Literally one the cutest married couples on media that I’ve ever seen. They just support each other all the time no matter what, and you can see how they care about each other. And even when so far away they still keep in touch and love each other

2. Ganymede x Europa

No matter how badly they behave in the story and how awful some of their decisions were, they still seem like they’re made for each other. They seem more like a “long-term relationship” couple to me and I like it a lot, the way they’re not as lovey-dovey and actually accept each other the way they are is very refreshing tbh. I like how Europa doesn’t try to make Ganymede change his beliefs just for the sake of her own and vice-versa, just reminding him sometimes that they’re together ahahah

3. Pluto x Charon

Alright, this one is my favourite in the whole show. They are VERY cute and I like how Charon tries to cheer up Pluto and support him when he feels awful. And even when they don’t understand each other, they stay nice and open minded usually (except when Pluto is ranting about himself and planets). They’re like a couple that grew together and it’s awesome

4. Titan x Titania

I don’t know how I feel about this. They just seem quite too different. And too awkward. Titania probably liked how confident Titan seemed and now has a crush on him in the show, but Titan just doesn’t strike me as a person ready to be in a relationship. He’s too invested in the whole system’s politics rn. I can picture him awkwardly frendzoning anyone who’s gonna confess to him. Maybe in the future this might work in a way like: “we accomplished everything we fought for and now can be together”. Also I think Titan would be too demanding for Titania to feel comfortable, she needs someone more gentle

Now moving on to most popular unofficial ships

Here besides my opinion on the ship I’ll also tell how I personally see interactions between these characters

5. Jupiter x Saturn

This actually seems very nice and cute in a way. Like a married couple maybe? At least when they bicker in the show they kinda give off that vibe. They could work as a couple. Saturn is very sensitive and protective and Jupiter needs support and seems like a patient guy, so they match well!

Personally I picture them more like old friends that rarely gather together anymore but are still close and supportive

6. Callisto x Triton

Maybe that could work? Both of them seem like adults with strong opinions on life and stuff. They might have something in common, but they are too different in my opinion still. Triton strives for freedom and lack of responsibility, while Callisto wants someone to lead her so she won’t have to be responsible. And even if some might say that Callisto changed in the show, I really don’t think so. Also I don’t think they’ll do great with long-distance relationships. For both of them it will be too much unnecessary work to maintain such relationships

I think that Triton sees Callisto as his first friend and that’s why he cares so much. It just doesn’t seem like he knows what to do and how to act. Callisto could also think of Triton as a friend, although maybe just a good acquaintance for now

7. Mars x Earth

It could work? I mean they are best friends and Mars clearly cares about Earth a lot, so he tries to not be too judgemental or put too much pressure on him. Earth also cares about Mars. I’ll just remind you how he made the whole tournament just so Mars will get back to him. So yeah, this seems like a bromance ship in a way, which means it works fine. Friends to lovers shift could happen in this case, although I don’t think they’ll be all lovey-dovey like many people portray them

I see them as best friends just as in the show

8. Earth x Venus

This doesn’t work imo. Venus is too aggressive and communicates poorly. By that I mean that Venus in the show doesn’t seem like a person with a lot of social skills or even experience. The fact that he didn’t know how to play asteroid dodgeball until the tournament tells us about how he didn’t communicate with Earth and Mars a lot. He doesn’t seem like the guy to understand romantic love. Earth on the other hand doesn’t care about Venus much and is too dominant. Even if he confessed to Venus and Venus agrees (not exactly knowing if he actually liked Earth), they would get irritated with each other as they’re both too stubborn and closed off.

I see them as acquaintances at the moment with a lot of actual friendship potential

9. Uranus x Earth

Just no. Even if you’re going to reason that by telling how it’s “canon in mythology”, it doesn’t have anything to do with the actual show. Even if they seem cute enough together, like a shy x confident dynamic and even knowing how similar their current problems are (too afraid to say something wrong/be themselves), it’s just too out of their comfort zones. Uranus is an introvert, maybe even with a sprinkle of sociophobia and he’ll feel very awkward in any relationship. He’ll say some stuff he doesn’t mean and will feel terrible about himself afterwards. Earth in those situations would probably want to push it and sometimes could embarrass Uranus even more. Also I’ll remind you that Earth and Uranus barely know each other. Long distance relationships also would be hard as Earth can’t leave the Goldilocks zone and Uranus probably wouldn’t want to go through 3 other planets’ orbits just to visit Earth.

I don’t see them interacting much.

10. Luna x Titan

This could work. Seems like a pretty serious ship with them both being very thoughtful and pragmatic. Maybe sometimes flirty, but not much. They share some of their opinions. Luna is also very, VERY patient and supportive and Titan needs that as he tries to reach his goals. However, I think right now they have other stuff to worry about. But in the future? I think it will work nicely.

I personally see them as friends

11. Mercury x Sun

Too toxic. It has the vibes of Boss x helpless employee which I’m very uncomfortable with. I don’t think that Sun could seriously love one of his planets romantically and Mercury wouldn’t want to date someone who literally hurts him all the time and demands constant attention. Just no. I don’t understand nor do I want to understand this one.

I see them only as friends. Maybe a bit one-sided with Mercury questioning this friendship

Hetalia Kiss Headcanons (Nordics)

(Minus Iceland. See the pinned post for the reason why).

Headcanons on how the Hetalia characters would kiss their S/O, as well as who I think would initiate your first kiss as a couple~

Denmark: Mathias's kisses would be similar to Alfred's, in that they are super energetic and can happen at almost any time. His kisses are intense, sudden, and passionate. Mathias would hold your hands as he kisses you, and when you're done he'd press your foreheads together. And because he's so tall, he'd probably also be the kind to give you kisses on the top of your head and forehead. As for who'd initiate the first kiss, that would likely be him. It would likely happen at an event where he gets carried away in his emotions and gives you a kiss. Only after would he internally panic, hoping you're okay with it.

Sweden: Since he's so dang tall, I think kisses from Berwald would typically be on the top of your head. Especially since he's a little more quiet and shy than most. When you do kiss on the lips, his kisses tend to be both gentle and firm. A little awkward, due to his inexperience. Not to mention he'd have to lean down to kiss you. I can also see him gently holding your head while you do so, as if scared he may accidentally break you. And between the two of you, you'd have to be the one to initiate the first kiss.

Norway: Lukas is very reserved, so kisses from him would be quite rare in general. The most you'll typically get is a kiss on the cheek or your temple. Maybe a little peck on the nose if he's trying to be cute. Kisses on the lips are usually saved for more serious moments, like anniversaries, or when one of you is going through a rough patch and need comforting. These kisses can be a little awkward due to inexperience, but the tenderness and love behind them make up for this. Since his kisses are rare, you know that when he does kiss you, it's from the heart. And because kisses from him can be rare, you'll have to be the one to initiate.

Finland: Tino would give the most cutest, adorable kisses known to man. I can see him giving sweet little kisses throughout the day. When you wake up, as you get ready for the day, go about your daily routine, and even when you go to bed. He'll be there to greet you with a cheery grin and a kiss. Tino's kisses are the kind that give you butterflies in your stomach, and make your heart feel like it's doing backflips. I can also see Tino being the one to initiate the first kiss, though he'd likely ask for your permission beforehand. He'd also be the kind of guy to wanna rub noses all adorably and whatnot.

Look, I just feel...tired? Relieved? Let down? I don't know. I definitely think this would have been a more impactful ending had I not had the (arguably) few most major things spoiled for me. But I also feel like by 1/3 from the end I was just slogging it, waiting for it to be over. It felt like so much happened, but not much at all and I feel like having two 'big bads' kind of split the attention and made the end blow just so unsatisfying? Yay, happily ever after, but...I don't know.

I like the characters, don't get me wrong. Well, most of them (lol) but maybe that's why it's so disappointing? Because I do really like them. I think it was a bit of a case of doing so little with so much. There are so many stories being told that none of them really get the attention they could have, so many side characters that are so compelling but you don't hear much about. I don't know, it can be hard to bring all those threads together, so I think she did an ok job, it's just that in hindsight it's easy to say perhaps there were too many threads.

I also don't think she ever gives the space necessary to trauma and mental health. Like it's there, but it's never touched upon in the raw way it probably needs to be.

I don't know, I feel like I enjoyed the last couple of books more, but I'm still leaving the series feeling pretty meh about it, which is how I've felt pretty much the whole way through. Not terrible, but in no way lived up to the hype for me, personally.

Well, this is going to be fun because I have more than just 5 hehehe 😼

1) Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom x Manny Rivera/El Tigre (TigerGhost/TigerSpirit) I just fell in love with their dynamic, thanks to @/nicktoonsunite

I love Danny and Manny because Danny tends to be a little more serious and easily stressed out than Manny. And Manny's laid-back and fun loving personality helps balance that out for Danny. But the main draw for me is that they both understand what it's like to have separate identities that clash with their lives and the responsibility of protecting others. Even though they may feel like their powers get in the way of their normal lives sometimes, they will always put aside their own needs to do what's right.

2) Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom x SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBoo) because of @/nicktoonsunite (and because I remember playing Nicktoons Volcano Island on my old GameCube and Nicktoons Globs of Doom on my old PS2). 

Danny and SpongeBob are just cute, queerplatonic partners, and their personalities mesh well together. I love how close and comforting they are in @/nicktoonsunite's universe. If there was something that was bothering them both, they would be the first people they chose to confide in. 

3) Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom and Octavia Goetia (Spectral Owl) because of you and how cute they are. I honestly love the idea of Danny and Via healthily trauma bonding over the upbringings they had in their family homes. I love how shy and awkward they would be with each other.

I imagine Octavia helping Danny ghost hunt with her magic and knowledge of the supernatural, but I think what I love most is how slowly and gently Danny gets Octavia to put her walls down and trust him. They would be absolutely good for each other as a couple, and I headcanon that Danny will grow to be 6′ 1″ and Octavia will be 6′ 7″. Danny and Octavia will be a tall and adorable king and queen couple one day. (He will always nickname her Spooky.)

4) Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom x Betty Barrett/Atomic Betty (Galactic Ghost) Now I was a huge Atomic Betty and Danny Phantom fan in my childhood (still am) so that's how this ship came to be.

I ship Betty and Danny for the same reasons I ship Danny and Manny but Danny becomes a galactic guardian and Betty becomes a ghost buster lol.

5) Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom x Little Cato (Spectral Space/Spooky Cat/Ghostly Hellions) (I need more ship names for these two).

I'm a huge Little Cato fan, and this is one of my favorite ships that I've come up with for him. I like to imagine that Little Cato gets his first intense crush on Danny, and Danny is completely oblivious (for awhile) about it. Little Cato just thinks that Danny is the coolest person he's ever met, and laughs at all of his silly jokes. Danny can't help but think how cute Little Cato is and finds himself enjoying every moment that they spend together. That's all I'm going to say about this ship because I plan to make a post about them in the future.

-if anything happened to you he wouldn’t be able to properly handle his emotions at all, and would probably go into a downward spiral of not taking care of himself until the reimond steps in.

-while reimond is definitely the closest thing he has to a friend I don’t think their too close, so when you and Lucia step in he is not exactly used to human interaction.

-this man is most definitely touch starved.

-the first time you place your hand on his shoulder he physically jumps.

-once he has gotten used to your little touches and hugs he ends up craving them. Looking forward to any opportunity to be near you in hopes of being held in your arms.

-he isn’t exactly good at subtlety, so it will be pretty clear when he lingers close and “accidentally” brushes against you one too many times he is looking for affection.

-while he does love talking and teaching, I don’t think he is too good with picking up social cues or talking about his emotions.

-Unfortunately I imagine panic attacks are a regular for him, anything that reminds him of **that** triggers them.

-at first he’ll try to hide it from you like he does with everyone else, but of course you find out eventually.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Step By Step (Thai Tues WeTV & Gaga) ep 2 of 10 (MDL says 12, but Gaga says 10) - Baby made a friend! Yay. I hope they stay friends. Up looks so good. Also, drama with exes! Excellent. This is awful grown up for a BL, esp a pulp. I think it may be more just a gay office romance than BL, but I love it no matter what. 

La Pluie (Sat iQIYI) ep 1 of 10 - I love it. Strange premise to get at the fated mates trope but it stars one of my top picks to get his own BL. Been waiting since TT2 for this boy to feature. Tai is cute. It’s good. Except the singing. But we can’t have it all. 

Our Skyy 2 (Star in My Mind) eps 3-4 - Dao is THE MOST SPOILED. But clearly Kluen prefers it that way. This was cute, but frankly a little bit boring. Kluen is clearly Thai for whipped. 8/10 

Future (Thai Sun YouTube & Gaga) ep 5 of 6 - they added an additional ep because, why not? It’s a soap not a story, it doesn’t matter. MOAR softness for usssss! Drama llama boys continue to be overdramatic to the point of melodramatic to the point of ludicrous-dramatic. 

Pastsenger (Thai Weds Gaga) ep 8 of 12 eps - This is not as good as My Engineer but Marc makes for a much better pair with Cooper. It’s still not great but hey… and then HE PICKED UP A GUITAR. NOOOOOO!!!!!

A Boss and a Babe (Fri YouTube) ep 9 of 12 - Is that a character in a GMMTV show actually trying to communicate? Say it isn’t so! Did you notice in order to calm Cher down Gun dropped to pom to put them on a more equal footing? Sweet. Cher is a tiny idiot for taking the blame for some random other coworker. Why? Omg this show. 

The Promise (Thai Weds YT & WeTV) ep 6 of 10 - So it was a real serious total kiss kiss with both very drunk. And that’s why he ran? Sigh. This show sucks. How can we root for this couple especially when the faen fatal (Boss) is THAT HOT and so sweet. (To be fair I can’t decide if I want Boss or his outfits more). Phu should just not come back, who needs him? So they really are going to just keep drawing this one premise out the whole show? 

Tin Tam Jai (Tues Gaga & iQIYI) ep 9 of 10 - yawn 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Our Dining Table AKA Bokura no Shokutaku (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 4 of 10 - They are cutest EVER - charming and awkward and sweet. I love the way the state of the food is used as an illustration for the state of the emotions of the characters. The loneliness of heating up a solitary meal bought from a convenience store in the microwave. The joy of memory of shared meals. What a lovely show.  

The Eighth Sense (Korea Weds Viki) eps 9-10fin - To be honest, I was dreading this one. JH is such a first-time love bebe. I liked how realistic everybody’s behavior was to the university age bracket. We even got some proper boyfriends phase which is too damn cute for words. I do not think that JW should have made up with his evil friend. I love the way JW’s shoulders relax the moment he sees JH. This was really good show... 

One of the longest BLs Korea has given us and (like Blueming) it feels more atmospheric gay coming of age romance than strictly BL. It’s got a bit of an age gap, country boy/city boy, stellar acting, complex characters, and leads with good chemistry and tension. It’s a bit chewy and sticky and less perfect than most KBLs (do I detect a touch of Taiwan?). This one deployed BL tropes (messy eater, shoulder sleep, protective seme, there’s even some hyung-slinging) but front loaded them, with tons angst driving the 2nd half. This isn’t in the KBL bubble, there’s sharp edges and lots of triggers. For a BL the darkness of the content left me feeling unsettled but it did have a glorious ending and that counts for a lot. 9/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Happy Merry Ending (Korea Thurs Gaga) eps 1-2 of 8 - No shade (ha!) but I do think Leo would have been better in the role of the singer (SJ) but I’m okay with Dongwon. JH is a nice flirty bit of sunshine. SJ is clearly the most anxiety-riddled socially awkward broken baby evers. I’m not sure about this kinda angst, it’s not really my thing especially on the back of The Eighth Sense. Look, I’ve never been one for a fixer-upper. We shall see, I guess? This is the beauty of KBL, so short most of the time that it’s low commitment no matter my reservations.

Naked Dinner AKA Zenra Meshi (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 3 of 12 - I guess the fetish matches are finding each other? How v Japan. Of course I like the conversation about names and protocols. 

It’s Airing But ...

Love Syndrome (Thai Sat WeTV) stopped at ep 2 of 12 - I’m just not into any aspect of it (except Lee Long Shi and I can watch him in Tin Tem Jai) - saving to binge if the end is solid.

Venus in the Sky (Sat YouTube) pilot/tester?) 0 of 10 - not entirely sure what’s up with this one distribution-wise, but the pilot was classic university-set pulp. I hope it happens because the leads are cute with good chemsitry and I thought it was fun. However, this pilot holds together as its own little short too.

Make a Wish (Thai Weds ?) stars Fluke Natouch (OhmFluke UWMA etc...) & Judo (The Miracle Of Teddy Bear) in a medical-fantasy. About a doctor who sees ghosts and a deity who resides in a Bodhi tree that earns merits whenever he fulfills a wish, based on a y-novel by Sammon (Manner of Death, Triage). Same as above.

Star Hunter dropped all their trailers for 2023 on their YT channel. Bit late in the year IMHO. Nothing really stuck out.

Big Dragon the movie = more of the same

True Moon = yet another loosely disguised attempt at the 2 Moons franchise?

Flirt Milk = standard pulp fodder, but they are cute

Acadex = The Eclipse + Destiny Seeker + Harry Potter 4 + The CW, as a movie that may not be BL 

Sunset Vibes = Big Dragon pair as a one night stand but “uh-oh he’s my boss!” I’m game. Maybe it’ll have a better story? Maybe it will have a plot? Maybe... oh who am I kidding. It’ll be high heat and that’s about all we can hope for. 

City of Stars AKA Fueangnakorn = An actor falls in love with a programmer and the narrative intends to “explore the ramifications of being public figure in the social network era who must endure critics, bullying, and defamation.” Looks like another Lovely Writer/Call It What You Want sort of thing.

The biggest shocker is how few they fielded of their original BL stable.

Love Senior = SOTUS but make it GL (I’m not mad about this one, it’s about flipping time. But it’s GL so I won’t track it, although I will watch it.)

5/27 The Luminous Solution (Thai ????) 10 eps - Thana is having trouble at work and in his relationship. He can't seem to catch a break. So he makes a wish to change everything. But every wish has a price.

Guys I am having vildia thoughts I just think that they would be the sweetest couple ever if they were in love

Like I don't think Idia is the most vocal when he's in love with people he strikes me as the type of person that gets really awkward around his crush, but something abt Idia is that he's like Very Very expressive. Even without saying much or being very loud, he's basically able to get his point across just from his expression

It also helps that his hair is like. A mood ring💀 Vil and Idia make eye contact and Idia's hair just starts turning pink and his eyes widen and he looks like a deer caught in headlights as his cheeks slowly turn red

And when he finally gets over himself, his lips curl up into the most awkward, lopsided smile ever and he just does the tiniest wave and it's the cutest thing ever because he doesn't know what he's doing but he is very clearly trying his best and I think Vil would adore him like that's just a little guy

Like even before they start dating its so obvious he likes Vil because he usually looks yknow a tad bit grumpy but when Vil comes around, even if you ignore the pink hair, you can practically see the affection coming onto his face and the way his eyes naturally follow wherever Vil goes like that is a boy in love

Also when Vil isn't around if someone brings him up I think Idia will go on a tangent about how beautiful and amazing and cool Vil is and then when he realizes Vil is standing behind him he shuts up so fast and turns so red and he feels so embarrassed BUT ALSO Vil is giving him kisses now so it's okay even if he was indeed caught gushing about his boyfie

Also I think them having nonserious arguments would be hilarious because they argue about something and Vil looks at Idia and immediately bursts out laughing because despite how allegedly annoyed Idia is with him, his hair is still very very pink and he just can't shake himself of the obvious love in his expression

And Idia just gets super embarrassed by it because it is NOT his fault that he can't get angry at Vil like he just looks at Vil and boom hearts in his vision like yeah they're arguing about what to get for dinner but Idia keeps getting distracted by how pretty Vil is and you know what else is really pretty, Vil's face when he eats his fav food. Suddenly Vil has won the argument

It's like "I legally can't get angry at u but also I have to pretend I'm angry so u don't know you have me wrapped around your finger" but also Vil knows Idia is down bad and he finds it adorable

Also I think Vil just appreciates how blatantly Idia loves him because yknow someone can always be spouting words of love but you never rly know if they mean it or not. Idia physically can't hide how in love he is with Vil and that is both reassuring and charming to him

I also think that Vil would try doing things Idia likes because. Well because Idia likes it !! I also think Idia would do things Vil likes because they want to be able to do things with their partner like yeah Vil may not see the appeal in certain games Idia plays but when they play it together it's a fun time so he likes it.

Meanwhile Idia isn't a huge fan of dressing up or going out in general but Vil likes dressing him up and going out and he's always attentive to how Idia's feeling or if he's overwhelmed, so that makes it impossible for him to think that hanging out with Vil is tiresome in any way.

Also Vil at a photoshoot and during breaks he sends a selfie of himself at the studio and it's like the most drop dead gorgeous casual selfie ever, and Vil's makeup artist or whatever is just like "aw r u texting ur bf? ☺️" and Vil is like yes and he starts talking abt how cute Idia is

And Vil's phone pings and Idia has sent a picture back but it's from a goofy angle from below or something so he looks extra stupid and the makeup artist is like ???? And Vil just giggles and kicks his feet like a schoolgirl abt how funny and cute idia is and everyone around them is like girl what....

Oh babe tbh I have no idea 😭😭😭😭😭

Like they're both just such dorks who have no romantic confidence whatsoever, like even though Willow's grown a lot and gotten more confident in her abilities I don't feel like she has any confidence in like herself as a person. I just feel like my girl has been torn down and broken so many times in her interpersonal relationships that I just don't think it would ever occur to her that Hunter liked her romantically and when she finally realizes that she has romantic feelings for him it's not like she's going to act on it, because in her head she's still Half a Witch Willow and there's no way her crush would like her back so she's just going to suffer in silence everytime they hang out as friends and of course she has tons of practice hiding her real feelings so like of course Hunter has no idea that her feelings are anything other than friendship and it's not like he's ever had any experience with teens his own age before this point so he can't really see the nuances of her crush the way Gus and Luz and Amity can, so of course he's also just suffering in silence with his much more obvious crush on her and the way Hunter looks at Willow is like she's on an unreachable pedestal, his first friend, the witch who showed him not to make snap judgements, the witch who can rip open the ground underneath him with magic more powerful than any witch he ever met before and also she's beyond sweet and goofy and she forgave him and she's really pretty and strong, so of course there's no way in hell she would ever like him the way he likes her, I mean his self image is even worse than Willow's no way he would ever think his feelings are reciprocated, so I mean, ultimately I think neither one of them would ask each other out, they'd just sit and suffer in their own silence while their friendship takes a turn towards romantic without either of them really realizing it and without the romantic PDA. Like they go hang out together as friends but they're basically just dates that neither of them realize are dates, every adult around town will see those two enter their establishments laughing and giggling at each other looking like the cutest couple at Hexside and they've all just decided these two are like their little pet project, the witch who owns the plant supply shop is always sneaking romantic flowers in their way, the witch who owns the book store is always trying to slip romance books into Hunter's piles trying to give him ideas, the witch who owns the little bistro they go to for lunch is always trying to give them a romantic table with a candle and romantic music, etc etc. And like basically the whole town along with every kid at Hexside is just of the mind that Willow and Hunter are both giant goddamn idiots who are literally the only ones in town not to realize that the two of them are already dating. They look so much like a couple without being an actual couple so much that Hooty doesn't even give them their own Tunnel of Love because he already thought they were together 😭😭😭

In the end I don't think either of them asks each other out first, I think someone else assumes they're a couple in front of them and then Willow and Hunter have the most awkward conversation afterwards like, "I mean, I wouldn't mind if we were actually a couple" and "Yeah I would maybe kinda like it" "You would?" "I would." "Me too." "Oh." "So are we a couple now?" And like that would be that 😭😭😭😭

Next time they go out on one of their we're just friends dates the whole town is doing their whole routine of trying to get them to be romantic and then they all watch in Pikachu shock face as every one of their romantic traps actually work for the first time ever and the two of them kiss at the end of it and the town thinks they finally did it, they finally got the Boiling Isles two most oblivious teens to figure it out meanwhile the two of them have been an official couple for like a week now 😭😭😭😭😭
