Thinking ab the PD four again…. Thinking about all the things the three would set up just to give Ashe the chance to experience them. She was never able to get to prom? Fuck it, they’re throwing one in the livingroom of the base tonight. She couldn’t have a proper quinceanera? A little late - not even on her birthday but they’re gonna make SURE she gets the party she deserved. She couldn’t celebrate her graduation? Well fuck none of them did, they’re throwing a cookout in celebration and William and Dakota are already at the store getting groceries.

anyways thinking about glark . and their dynamic and their relationship to each other . thinking abt the fact that both of them believe they are so completely undeserving of genuine love and kindness and so whatever sort of relationship they have , has none of that . if either of them got even a fraction of a notion that the other *cared* about them , they would backpedal *so* fast and never talk ever again tbh .

thinking about glark and the only "help" either of them will allow themself to have is the other . that the only relief they'll take comes in the form of black eyes and bloody knuckles . that the only time they will ever put words to their hatred of themselves is when they're screaming it at each other until their throats are raw . they are each others outlet in the worst kind of way . in the way that they are each others punching bags that will fight back . in the way that someone else will finally tell them that they hate them as much they hate themself . in the way that they will hear the other scream that he hates himself and have nothing to say except "you're right" . and knowing that they will get the same in return .

thinking about glark and the lack of tenderness . that they both do care about each other in at least some sort of way but the only way they allow themselves to show it is by beating each other bloody . that they will not , *can* not , show actual affection because then they have to stop before they start to need it . they can't show that they care because then maybe they're worth saving , and that can't possibly be right . that if they can somehow love the other then maybe they too are capable of being loved . so they'll continue projecting their self hatred on to the other . continue pretending that when the other says he hates you he really does mean that he hates *you* and not just himself .

I've already mentioned this on twitter, but dude,,, the way chip's unconditional trust and understanding for gill led him into that trap is so fucked up and evil

when gill returns with his skin intact, chip doesn't question it. the sheer relief of having him back overshadows all the discrepancies

even when gill asks to see the leviathan bones, chip agrees to go with him, maybe somewhat reluctantly, but he understands its importance to gill

when gill asks him not to turn on the light, chip obeys without hesitation, trusting gill's judgment of the situation

when gill barricades the door, chip doesn't question it either. he believes it will make them both safer

even after discovering that it's not the real gill, chip refuses to inflict lethal harm because, in some sense, it's still gill

and as real gill is about to die, chip screams at jay to prioritize getting him out first. he even argues with real gill about this-

this episode perfectly shows chip's devotion to gill LIKE

he would willingly let gill take him by the hand and lead him into a pitch-black laboratory because, after all, why shouldn't he follow? It's gill, and gill would never trick him or intend to harm him,,,

if i hear anyone in the tags say buT aRtHuR diDnT mEaN iT, i will throw actual fists. because arthur believed this wholeheartedly. like op said, he didn't need magic as proof of merlin's bravery. he didn't need to know what merlin was doing to believe that merlin was the bravest man he ever met. he didn't need to know.

and when at last he did know when he was dying in merlin's arms, he wanted to let merlin know how much he believed all that, how much it doesn't matter the way merlin supported him because arthur loved him either way, arthur then told him I know now.

sometimes I think about Lancelot saying to Merlin "you're the bravest of us all and he doesn't even know". and then about Arthur saying to Merlin "I always thought you were the bravest man I ever met". so then I think about the fact that Arthur didn't even need to know about Merlin's magic to know how brave he is. and i cry a little.

Part of the reason that Republicans are so desperately acting like they will never lose again is because they are deeply terrified that this is their last real chance to win. They still hold a lot of power, but if we stop them this year the next presidential election may not be the Most Important One Of Your Life™, that's not a guarantee or anything, but if they don't win here and now their future looks grim, this dipshit is the only guy they have left and he's extremely diminished and has his brains leaking out of his ears at this point. We can beat him into the ground.
