i know u ship renheng so i wanted to ask… what made u ship them in the first place? what about them appeals to u? i’d love to know

its about the TRAGEDY.

something about the whole unhealthy maybe even weirdly codependent way renheng works is so intriguing to me. they bring out the worst in each other. ive never seen them be happy when the other is around. in fact theyre significantly more miserable.

and yet you see dan heng polish his spear with a look of longing on his face. dan heng somehow remembers yingxing's name in the hazy memories from his past self. both blade and dan heng still wear those BRACERS.

they hate each other. theyre seeing memories of the past in each other. one where they were happy. maybe they even loved each other. even though at this point theyve become completely different people, but their fates still feel intertwined?

its such a fucked up weird relationship between them! i also cant imagine them ever having a happy ending with each other in canon. like i love renheng, but at this point in time i dont root for them to be happy. its an interesting relationship to observe and watch and i look forward to see whatever hoyo has in store for them. in conclusion i love toxic renheng 💕

my personal headcanon is the vees were unremarkable nobodies when they were alive. i just love it as a thematic throughline for them. they love to let the public of hell speculate on them being famed and acclaimed since before death, but the the truth is they were a d-list failed influencer that got by on cheap controversey and scamming, a broke junkie who burned every shaky bridge he ever had, and a worn-out broadcast production assistant with more rejected auditions and tossed out script pitches than he could count. nobody missed them when they were gone, nobody cared who they were until they were dead.
