they're filming season two, but i'm thinking about the potential adaption of the mount tam scene in season three. you know, the one where annabeth could apologize for pushing percy out of the way and falling off the cliff in his place, and how she knows that sounds terrible but they didn't have time for another plan and she didn't want to lose him that way. but percy just engulfs her in a hug because he's so relieved that she's safe now and everything else be damned. and annabeth doesn't understand why he's snickering to himself after that last statement, but she melts into the hug anyway because she missed him. and thalia and grover stand in the background happy for their friends on the outside but internally mortified, because their friends are definitely falling for each other but fate may not allow them to see it through.

Falling in love and then realizing that you are experiencing those feelings are two completely different things. I do think it took a while for either of them to truly understand how they felt about each other, and who realized first is up for debate, but the moment the fell for each other was the exact same.

This moment, as they were floating in the air together, without a care in the world, experiencing the beauty of magic as they brought their dream to life, was the moment they both fell, and fell HARD. Neither of them would probably realize it for years after the fact, but when they do, it'll be this moment right here they think back to as the moment it happened

While visitors to the practice were principally there to see the real James Herriot, and were often overcome with excitement to meet him - which always bemused Dad - they were also delighted if Donald Sinclair (better known to them as Siegfried) made an appearance. This of course tickled us as, since we had grown up in and around the practice, Donald and his younger brother Brian (on whom Tristan was based) were like family.

They were a constant presence in our lives, Donald was Jim's godfather and we always referred to him and his wife as "Uncle Donald and Auntie Audrey."

Dating Regulus Black is great. Amazing. Fantastic. Spectacular even! James can't even imagine for how long he's dreamed of being in his current position with the title "Regulus Black's Boyfriend."

But that doesn't mean his lover can't get a bit... odd. He would never call Regulus crazy, of course not. James loves all of him, including the little bits that others wouldn't be able to handle. But James can handle them. Because he's James.

However he would not be able to survive what he just did. Oh, he truly didn't mean to knock over the cauldron, he was just distracted! Regulus gave him a kiss and a loving pat on the cheek and told him to watch... something before walking out and James had sighed, putting his elbow on the table to sigh happily, resting his face in his hand and suddenly bam.

Spilled all over the floor, a gross sludge from half infused (melted? he's never been sure how ingredients just kind of disappeared when it came time to bottle them) materials and a sizzling sound coming from the more liquid parts as it melted into the stone floor.

Fuck.

He goes to scramble, trying to pick up the cauldron only for it to burn. He yelps, dropping it quickly and shaking off his hand. He tries to look around for something else because, well, an upset Regulus is not good. Especially if he's the one who caused it. He never wants to make Regulus upset. He thinks, if he did, he'd quite possibly collapse into a heap of nothing.

He runs to the door, poking his head out for anyone who could possibly help. No one down in the dungeons particularly likes him, or at least like him enough to save him from his boyfriend's impending wrath but maybe if he begs hard enough someone will take pity on him.

But then James catches sight of an angel. His saving grace.

"Moony!" He hisses loudly, and he watches Remus look around confused for a second before spotting him.

"Moony! Over here!"

Remus sighs, adjusting his bag, and slowly walking over. James can tell that he probably looks as panicked as he is, hair a mess from when he ran his fingers through it and eyes wide and glasses crooked.

"What did you get yourself into?"

"This is not the time for jokes Moony! This is life or death! My life or death!"

"What did you do?" There's suspicion in Remus' voice that James, in any other circumstance, would be at least slightly offended at. But no, Remus is the perfect person who could have come his way.

"I knocked over Regulus' cauldron."

He watches as Remus furrows his brows, leaning in and peaking over James' shoulder.

"What? How the fuck did you manage that?"

"I don't know! I wasn't paying attention!" Remus makes an 'ahh' sound, pressing his lips together, but James ignores it. Whatever revelation Moony had is not as important as James' future chance at life.

"You're dating Sirius, you know Regulus, you know how this can end, now help me." He hisses as he grabs Remus by the collar and drags him inside.

I'm immensely grateful for all the shows that give the softest endings wrapped in love. So many shows are simply saying "I love him, and he loves me, and we are better because of it."

See Your Love had one father say to another that he was there to love BOTH of their kids as they needed to be loved and not make demands of them. Then, the side couple was beautiful even in the after credits scene, and the main couple continuously said that they loved each other which neither ever doubted it. Jiang Shaopeng, facing death, said Yang Zixiang chose him, and he knew it was genuine.

Our Youth gave us a story of two boys whose lives didn't become magically better once they were in love, but they were happier with each other. Hirukawa made sure Minase knew he wasn't going anywhere, and that his love wasn't conditional like his friends and mother's, and Minase told Hirukawa he was missed, loved, and wanted.

And finally, my Per x Win heart was healed by the 2024 remake of Love Sick. Because of love, Win found the courage to tell his abusive father that the hits weren't going to make him less gay, and Per told Win that he would love him no matter the distance his father forced between them.

It's the constant reminder that they have a safe place waiting for their return.

It's someone seeing them for all their beauty rather than believing they are flawed.

It's good endings that are really the beginnings of love stories rooted in kindness and gentle care.

The kids are going to make it.

Because of course Mihawk doesn’t tolerate any insinuations that Shanks is weak. That’s his equal the other side to his coin if he’s weak then you’re calling Mihawk weak and Mihawk can’t have that. Probably reason 897 why Mihawk was so upset about left arm gate. Because Shanks went down to the East blue, the weakest of the blues, and lost his arm. It was probably months of people questioning his strenght and if they question his strength then they question Mihawk’s and mihawk has worked to hard on his reputation to have it all be undone by the prophetic whims of a red head.
