they're filming season two, but i'm thinking about the potential adaption of the mount tam scene in season three. you know, the one where annabeth could apologize for pushing percy out of the way and falling off the cliff in his place, and how she knows that sounds terrible but they didn't have time for another plan and she didn't want to lose him that way. but percy just engulfs her in a hug because he's so relieved that she's safe now and everything else be damned. and annabeth doesn't understand why he's snickering to himself after that last statement, but she melts into the hug anyway because she missed him. and thalia and grover stand in the background happy for their friends on the outside but internally mortified, because their friends are definitely falling for each other but fate may not allow them to see it through.

Another thing I appreciate about Black Sails is that. They didn't randomly "make" Flint gay, or in love with another man for diversity points or whatever — which would also be fine I mean I'll take any representation, but which has a tendency feel artificial and manufactured.

Toby Stephens (James Flint) said in an interview that they told him from the beginning where they were going with James Flint's character, namely that he was in love with Thomas Hamilton. It's an integral part of the storyline and of who Flint is. So when we are shown their love for the first time in season 2 episode 5 it isn't like. A ha-ha gotcha reveal – except if you're a basic dudebro —but rather it makes all the pieces of Flint's character and of his relationship with Miranda pieces slide into place and you go "Oh. Oh. That's what it was."

Alpha Derek Hale fighting by on the battlefield when he caught wind of the most delicious scent. He fights through the mass of bodies to witness the omega son of lord Stilinski ripping apart his enemies.

Derek fangs ached to bite and claim him. Shame they were on different sides of the fight but a marriage between two high house would surely end the war.

With a feral smile Derek moved to engage with the Omega. This would be a worthy fight.

"Viktor fell first-" this, "Jayce loved Viktor too late-" that, WRONG! They fell for each other at the exact same time. Falling in love and then realizing that you are experiencing those feelings are two completely different things. I do think it took a while for either of them to truly understand how they felt about each other, and who realized first is up for debate, but the moment the fell for each other was the exact same.

This moment, as they were floating in the air together, without a care in the world, experiencing the beauty of magic as they brought their dream to life, was the moment they both fell, and fell HARD. Neither of them would probably realize it for years after the fact, but when they do, it'll be this moment right here they think back to as the moment it happened

I'm immensely grateful for all the shows that give the softest endings wrapped in love. So many shows are simply saying "I love him, and he loves me, and we are better because of it."

See Your Love had one father say to another that he was there to love BOTH of their kids as they needed to be loved and not make demands of them. Then, the side couple was beautiful even in the after credits scene, and the main couple continuously said that they loved each other which neither ever doubted it. Jiang Shaopeng, facing death, said Yang Zixiang chose him, and he knew it was genuine.

Our Youth gave us a story of two boys whose lives didn't become magically better once they were in love, but they were happier with each other. Hirukawa made sure Minase knew he wasn't going anywhere, and that his love wasn't conditional like his friends and mother's, and Minase told Hirukawa he was missed, loved, and wanted.

And finally, my Per x Win heart was healed by the 2024 remake of Love Sick. Because of love, Win found the courage to tell his abusive father that the hits weren't going to make him less gay, and Per told Win that he would love him no matter the distance his father forced between them.

It's the constant reminder that they have a safe place waiting for their return.

It's someone seeing them for all their beauty rather than believing they are flawed.

It's good endings that are really the beginnings of love stories rooted in kindness and gentle care.

The kids are going to make it.

This is the most devastating thing they could've pulled here. These aren't flashbacks. Maria was killed before she ever got to see the earth that she loved so much from afar. They never got to explore the world together the way they always wanted to.

These are fantasies. Dreams that never got fulfilled. Glimpses of everything that could've been but never was. Shadow isn't reminiscing on his past-- he's getting lost in flashes of that happy, content future him and Maria never got to have. What if I just cried.
