everyone has to be a little less mean to themselves about not reading enough books. letting go of reading as a pride thing is the first step to relearning how to actually enjoy reading for pleasure again. it's totally fine to start with a novella or with a comic or with a field guide or with literature meant for someone younger instead of being mad at yourself for not grokking ulysses in a week. just vary your diet and you'll be good.
i'm a literature scholar, i'm the one who has to be strict with myself about page counts and citations. you all? do what you want, just read and have fun.

Yk, I hate that adaptations keep making Peter a high schooler, and not just because it means he never evolves, but because the adaptations now also include wider Marvel, whitch usually (thanks to the MCU) is at the modern day stage with legacy characters and new age teen heroes, meaning that Peter is taking up Miles' spot and you can really tell when they put him next to someone like Kamala Khan or Sam Alexander who are Miles' pals. Tho Peter taking Miles' stuff is just a modern issue overall, just look at MCU whitch just stole and re-skinned Miles' personality, characters, story-beats, even the costume to an extent and then made it worse.

I’ve already explored and seen other people explore the idea of Jamie texting/reaching out to Roy in the wake of the season one finale because he feels reasonable/guilty about Roy’s injury. But WHAT IF…Roy is super depressed one night and/or has had a few drinks in an attempt to drown his sorrows and then decides to text Jamie…to blame him. Now, I don’t think Roy in his right mind would *actually* blame Jamie for his injury, because that would be dumb and they were both just doing their jobs, which Roy fully knows. However, in a very distressed state I can absolutely see Roy launching at whomever he can blame. Particularly when that person is Jamie, a person he already hates.

We checked out Assateague State Park this morning and had a really nice time even though we were basically limited to the south beach since we had the pup. She usually is really excited about horses, but I suppose they're less interesting for her when they're just standing around
#beautiful day beautiful animals beautiful beach#i want to go back and camp! even though were limited with her it was still tranquil and relaxing and worthwhile imo#though seeing people be stupid was upsetting. some couple with a small child walked right up to the foal and encouraged their toddler to pet#as many people yelled at them to back up#signage everywhere about not touching and how dangerous and unpredictable they can be... and you decide to have a kid touch the baby... okay#anyways. overall positive visit#we were not as close as it looks in some of those!!! my phone just has a pretty hood zoom#we stayed well clear. good rule follwers over here :p#whippet#misdemeanor#dogblr#petblr
