enough stories about how someone learns to truely be happy through love. i want a story where someone is desperately seeking out love thinking it's the only way to be happy only for them to learn by the end that happiness is what they make of it and they don't need love at all to make it.

Ya know, I imagine that for as kinky and wild Gale can be in the bedroom, I would think his favorite thing in the world is slow, sleepy, super affectionate sex.
It's that moment where him and his partner can just entangle themselves in each other, to feel every sensation of their contact with one another. No expectations, no words needed. Just a languid exploration of his partner's body using all the senses.
The little noises they make with every gentle thrust or thoughtful caress
The salty taste of their skin with each kiss.
The blissful look on their face as they come undone...that sweetest flush of their cheeks.
The feel of their skin, all scars, ridges, smoothness, or wrinkles. He will basically memorize the topography of his lover's body.
The smell of them...That natural, unperfumed fragrance that belongs to only his partner. As unique as a fingerprint.
Gale can take his time, bring all of these sensations to memory, savoring the closeness and precious time with his love. It's less about the sex itself, and more about bonding in a very mortal way. He thrives on that deep connection with his partner because it's not something he's ever been accustomed to, and hasn't gotten in a very long time.

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#wei wuxian#lan wangji#jin guangyao#qin su#The parallels to the mulderskully comic were genuine scripting coincidences that I kept in for the irony.#wwx and mulder both have a strong need to show their beloved (investigation) partner the cool thing they just found.#Much to their chagrin and concern.#For as much of a mess the plot gets in The Untamed...one of the things it does probably the best of all adaptions is setting up JGY.#specifically how we spend time getting to know him as a *Regular Guy* around our deuteragonists' age.#I love how he's present in the cloud recess arc! I was rooting for him as a character! The twist villain reveal felt so heartbreaking!#Here in the audio drama (for as much as it does well) we pretty much get 2 scenes tops with this guy before he's villain monologuing.#before this we know him as 1) the guy NMJ yelled at a lot 2) a suspect 3) leader guy Jin Ling was partially raised by.#The elements are there but but not with any particular depth to make him...interesting (in this version).#Sure we get to learn more after the fact but it just falls so flat in comparison B*/#ohhhh noooo the guy we are pretty sure killed a guy is gaslighting his wife and has a secret torture chamber. The older I get the more I realise there is just nothing to Jean and Logan as a couple, he's just the cool bad boy alternative to her straight laced boyfriend, and no writer has ever bothered to develop them beyond that. Logan really has more of a dynamic with Scott than he ever had with Jean. When written well, Scott and Jean feel like genuine partners with neither character overshadowing the other, but when she's paired with Logan, Jean seems to just become the love interest or worse a prize for Logan to win for being a good person, the relationship always reduces her.
#x-men#logan#wolverine#jean grey#scott summers#cyclops#marvel#when you look back at the movies they do nothing to establish any kind of connection between jean and logan#it's just instantly goes to “hey i'm hot and so much cooler than cyclops”#the comics aren't any better#claremont just kind dropped it in out of the blue#but didn't do much with it before jean died#and then retroactively tried to make it seem like they had some deep connection#but still barely did anything with it#since the two were always on different teams#and felt like it was put to bed when she married scott#marvel no doubt not wanting her to be a cheater#but then morrison got the x-men#scott became the cheater#and the jean/logan started to be a thing again#but still never took off in a substantial way#then jean died again#was gone for over a decade#and even in the krakoa era when they were shown to be poly#barely any depth was given to the relationship#and in retrospect it feels like the writers were more interest in jean and scott as a couple and co-leaders of the x-men#and logan was just added as a poly partner to put that love triangle to rest#now it seems to be back to just jean and scott#and she's off being an intergalactic hero with a stay at home husband#never once thinking about logan
