I fear that the Netflix Pride and Prejudice adaptation will try far too hard to make a Lake Scene™ or Hand Flex™ moment happen and in doing so will miss the point that both of those were accidentally iconic. The infamous scene in the 1995 series was intended to be funny rather than swoon-worthy, while the shot of Mr Darcy's hand in the 2005 film was captured by chance. Both iconic moments, but not scripted as such.

I don't think you can force these things, they kind of take on a life of their own once an adaptation is released and become iconic in their own right organically thanks to the audience. I would hate for a scene to be added in to try and force A Moment™ to happen.

So, rather than trying to make the next one happen, I would love it if this time a scene from the novel with Jane Austen's brilliant dialogue in all its unaltered glory was what truly stood out to people and that the incredibly talented lady who brought so many iconic characters to life, for once, got the credit she deserves, rather than a scene that never appeared in the original novel getting all the hype.

throwing my two cents into the ring about wiege i hope it sounds like a lullaby. so much of the art has been focused on the main 6 characters as children and being happy and i think having at least part of the song being lullaby-esque would be nice...best case scenario for me sound-wise is that it sounds like Georgette Me Geogette you in the way that it's soft and sounds like a lullaby in the verse and then goes crazy with the instrumentals and vocals during the chorus

You got the nicest army uniform, with a lovely patch of the American flag or three decorating you. You will be an anti-commie-hippie-nazi force together.

Demo's scrumpy pouring from his bottle to the floor, as he watches you, slack-jawed, in the garb of an ancient Scottish warrior, furs reminiscent of explosions, and a beautiful sword serving as little more than decoration. The thing is heavy, but as he put it, you look bloody mesmerising.

Spy raising his brows, and giving an appreciative "Hmm!", as he nods. The béret? The classy, yet casually appropriate suit? You could approach him anywhere any day, and his focus on the façade of suave calm might dwindle just a little bit. Positively enchanting, he says, eyes fluttering just a tad too dreamily to truly hide how enamoured he is.

Miss Pauling stammering and stumbling over her words, when you catch her off-guard. You look really nice- That's what she's trying to say, yeah, because the way you did your hair, and the shoes, and the tie- Is that a gun in the hidden inner pocket of your jacket? That's, wow, she- Can she look at it? And also generally move closer to you? For no reason at all, you're just so gorgeous- ... Did she say that out loud?
