I would like to request the Monster Trio’s and/or Jin-Woo’s reactions to f!reader getting hit on by another guy! Perhaps integrate Jin-Woo into the One Piece world too?
I decided to include Jin-Woo (: he ate a devil fruit similar to Moira’s.
BACK UP & WATCH OUT

“Aye baby, what are you doing here?” A man asked you as you sat at the bar.
“Waiting for someone.” You answered firmly. “And you’re definitely not him.”
“Don’t be like that, babe,” he replied, sitting on the wooden barstool next to you. He scooted closer and looked at you curiously, gaging to see how far he could push you.
“You shouldn’t-” you started, scooting away.
“Pretty girls like you don’t last long in places like this.” He whispered, putting a hand on your thigh. “Let me pay for your drink and-”
Tumblr media
“And what?” Zoro asked, resting his hand on the hilt of his swords.
The man looked up and frowned. “Why if it isn’t the famous Roronoa Zoro. Are you here for this vixen?” He asked. “Sorry but she’s going home with me.”
“No she’s not.” Zoro easily grabbed the man by his collar. The customers at the bar left the fray alone, not wanting to be Zoro’s next prey. “Leave her alone and get the hell out.”
Shaking from fear, he nodded his head and dashed out of the bar, not looking back. Zoro sighed and sat next to you.
“Sorry I’m late, I got lost.”
Tumblr media
“-and that is no way to treat a lady.” Sanji exclaimed, his tone firm and unforgiving. “Despicable behavior.”
“Jealous?” The man asked, putting his hand over yours. You instantly pulled away, frowning from his sudden form of affection.
“Can you not!”’ you started.
Sanji’s face was red with fury. “She’s not interested.”
“Oh she definitely will be after I-”
Sanji lit a cigarette and pushed the man’s chest with his foot. When he was on the floor he scrambled backwards, hoping the space between them would be enough for the cook to leave him alone.
“Talk to her again and I’ll kick your face next time.” The blond threatened, looming over him. He puffed a sliver of smoke from his mouth and motioned for the brute to leave. The man nodded and scurried away. “Ah, yn-swan!” He turned to you, his voice sweet and caring, “let’s leave! I’ll make you something on the ship!”
Tumblr media
Before he could finish his sentence, you saw Luffy’s long rubber fist punch the man off the stool and crash into a few more tables and chairs, making customers around him scatter.
“Hey!” Luffy exclaimed happily, running up to sit next to you. “Sorry I had to knock that guy out. There were no open chairs near you except his!”
You laughed, knowing that Luffy clearly didn’t know the situation you were in before he arrived.
“It’s a good thing you knocked him out,” you replied, seeing the man passed out on the floor. “He wasn’t good company anyway.”
Tumblr media
A dark, shadowy hand slowly rose from the floor where he sat at, the dark aura not phasing your unwelcomed guest because he was focused on you. You easily noticed the purple hues, for you were used to them. Jin-Woo toyed with people, especially when he was bored.
“…so what do you say?” The man asked, not feeling the eerie presence around him.
“Not interested.” You answered calmly, taking a sip from your drink. “I’m still waiting for someone.”
“Yes, she is.” Jin-Woo said in a dark tone as his full body emerged from the shadows behind the man.
“Now who the hell are you?” He spat as he turned around.
“Someone who you don’t deserve to speak to.” The man didn’t even have to say anything else before he stormed out of the bar.
“Damn you didn’t have to scare him like that.” You smirked as the necromancer sat next to you.
Jin-Woo closed his eyes. “He was a waste of my time and yours. Now. What did you want to talk about.”

One Piece AU Comics Masterpost
Some of my AUs are somewhat interwoven as they borrow headcanons from each other. I'm doing my best to sort them into their respective AUs.
They're mostly Dragon/Crocodile and Crocodad comics.
Stinky Child AU
A canon divergent AU where Dragon and Crocodile decided to raise Luffy in Windmill Village while still being a revolutionary leader and a warlord. They adopt Ace and Sabo.
Crocodile meets Ace // Crocodile is taking Ace home // Stinky Child gets a bath (Illustration) // Ace gets a new outfit // Ace meets Baby Luffy // Dragon meets Ace // Dragon has nightmares // Swooning over Criminals // ~ Big Timeskip~ // Logue Town // Impel Down // Luffy and Crocodile reunite on Amazon Lily // After Marineford // Ace and Crocodile are reunited on Momoiro Island // Post Timeskip // Mistakes were made // Momoiro Island Dress Code // Cross Guild //
Captain No Brows
A potential first meeting between a young criminal and a marine and their encounters over the years.
First meeting // Unexpected call // Taking care of two orphans //Doffy has questions // Dragon cleaning up messes // Doffy is fantasizing // Dragon leaves the Marines
Potentially set in the same universe: Crocodile meets Portgas D. Rouge // Crocodile takes his shirt off // Unexpected revelations
Surprise Baby
Dragon and Crocodile find themselves with a child and have to figure out what to do. I have not yet decided to which AU this belongs.
Late Realization (Illustration) // Crocodile tells Dragon about the baby // Bit coat hides big secrets
Former Kuja Empress
AU where Crocodile is a Kuja who got ship wrecked and saved by Dragon's small group of revolutionaries. (Crocodile presents female.)
First Meeting and misheard names // Haircut
After the Divorce
Canon compliant AU in which Dragon and Crocodile get back together after the events of Marineford and end up having another baby.
Crocodile's mysterious client // Too late for protection (Illustration) // They're having another baby (Illustration) // Suspicious Coworkers (Illustration) // Luffy finds out he's going to be a big brother // Luffy meets his baby sister // Luffy brings his sister to his ship // Another one
Little Dragon's (Mis) Adventures
Bringing up never to be answered questions: did Garp and Roger have sex (see this comic) and is Dragon maybe Roger's son?
Dragon ends up on Roger's ship // Dragon has no choice but to stay with the Roger Pirates // They get to know Dragon // Pirate Flag // Diverging Priorities // Treasure Chest Baby // Dragon is babysitting Roger's cabin boys // Shanks thinks about his babysitter
Mini Mingo and Grumpy Verse
An AU in which Dragon and Crocodile had more biological kids after Luffy, "Grumpy" (Kite) and "Mini Mingo" (Dulcinea). Mini Mingo is suspiciously blond but it might mean nothing. Grumpy also exists as the fifth baby in the After the Divorce AU.
New blonde baby // Mini-Mingo is visiting Cross Guild // Mini Mingo has a crisis // Asking Grumpy for advice // Doflamingo has a crisis // Doflamingo does not take hugs well // Usopp develops the "can't meet anymore of Luffy's insane family" disease //
Misc.
These are stand alone comics that could apply to multiple AU story lines.
Big Parents, Tiny Baby
Luffy's Birth // Tiny thing fitting into Crocodile's big hand
The No Brows Multiverse
Dragon is tired of people telling him he looks just like Garp. // Dragon shaves his eyebrows for his first wanted poster.
Chaotic Family Time (Various family related comics)
Toys for Luffy // Everybody wants to be a girl // The return of Captain No Brows // Sabo feels left out // The kids are meeting Pops // Alabasta Trip + Follow up
Rocks' Era (Various Comics about the Rocks Pirates as well as Rocks being thrown into the future.)
Pregnancy // No Doubts // Achieving Dreams
Spaghetti // Learning more about the timeline // Facing Whitebeard // Grandpa Mug

Yandere One Piece x Reader
A/N: just fic that i wrote when i was board! Hope you enjoy reading it as much i enjoyed writing it.
Imagine the Straw Hats being annoyed with Cultivator Reader who gets sea sick alot but was also clingy. Almost always in choppers office during storms or when there are big waves. Chewing on Lemon Grass, Cloves or just licking some salt to help with it since you don't want to bother chopper much.
It had gotten worse ever since you entered the new world, The unpredictable weather makes you feel worried that you hold the crew back. The crew on the other hand were very understanding at first but soon they started to get annoyed, even Sanji and Chopper. You felt so bad about it that you always had a clove in your mouth so even if the weather changes it won't affect you that much.
But one day... You over heard them saying how you shouldn't have joined the crew if you get so sea sick since, pirates literally travel through the sea on top of that you never leave anyone alone! Always stay with someone, stuck to them. To sum it up... they didn't want you here....
You immediately ran to the crows nest and cried for a good hour. You had never felt so humiliated in your life!! Your familiars came out to comfort you and you fell asleep on them.
Zoro was asked to fetch you, He went to your room where you'd usually be, but he was met with emptiness. H serched the whole ship annoyed but finally found you in the nest sleeping comfortably. He was kinda annoyed since he was shouting for you but you gave no response, since you were sleeping, its fine.
They were going to get off on the next island to restock on supplies. You joined them but to your horror it looked like you home town.... Your home town was destroyed because Marines deemed it dangerous. So how come this town looks so much alike? You immediately got off and excused yourself, the straw hats thought you felt sick hence went to find a restroom or a secluded area to vomit, But no... You were trying to find a familiar face, any face. Since all cultivators lived in harmony, and it was a small island, you knew almost every one.
You entered the closest weapon shop and to your surprise, found the old man who used to work there, when you were in the village. You called out to him and his eyes widened. He ran and hugged you crying saying how everyone thought you were dead. You started crying saying how you thought everyone was dead, since you went back to the village and it was completely destroyed.
He told you that they escaped by faking all their deaths, so that tragedy won't happen again. You were so glad to find them. The old man ran out the shop to tell everyone you were back and alive. They all started hugging you while crying, saying how glad they were. This commotion was seen by Robin and Brook who were confused as to why these people were coddling you so much.
You told the villagers how you were saved by the Straw hats and you joined their crew. The village called for celebration to thank the Straw hats, who were surprises to find out this was your home.
Then you met him again, your childhood sweet heart, Lóng Fēi. How long had it been? you can't remember. You just ran in his arms, falling in the process. Shoving your head in his shoulder, soft sobs escaping your lips. Fēi Immediately picked you up like a baby and took you to the forest since he knows you hate being seen weak. When in the woods, he plopped you on his lap, holding you close, kissing your tears away. After you calmed down, He picked you up again and you guys went on a walk around the forest, catching up about life. Out of nowhere , Fēi asked if you would mind if he joined the crew with you. You immediately said you don't mind and he should join since Fēi was strong.
Luffy agreed without hesitation, since more the merier right....? Wrong, your atittude towards the crew changed. You no longer cuddle with Zoro while he naps, you no longer sit behind Sanji while he cooks, you no longer stay with Nami and try to read her maps in secrete, you no longer read with Robin, you no longer play or sing with Brook, no longer help Frankie, you stopped going to Chopper to talk about medicine from your home. Finally, You never again asked Luffy to sit with you on the head of the sunny. All the thing you used to do with the Straw hats, Now yo do with Fēi, Everything. it was like you changed into a completely different person.
They Straw hats were relived that you left them alone, but soon realised you weren't paying attention to them at all. They tried asking you to do stuff with them but you politely turned them down saying you don't want to bother them. Your blunt favoritism hurt them. Do you not like them anymore? Is it something they did? (kinda)
Soon they started to lose it, draging you with the to spend time like you used to but Fēi still tagged along. Can't he see?? He is not wanted!!!
If this continued they just might kill Fēi. Or Fēi would kill them. I mean if there was an accident that killed them but you and Fēi survived, no one would be suspicious....... Right?
Well lets see who survives then?

First Mother's Day
Note: I decided to do a special post in what is now my OP Men as Dads series, and do a Mother's Day headcanon/blurb post. I understand this day can be rough for some, but I hope that whether you celebrate or not, whether your mom is in your life or not, that you have a lovely day otherwise and if this isn't your cup of tea, I hope there's something else that can entertain you today. <3
If you'd like my thoughts on other OP men as dads (Shanks, Kid, Usopp, etc.), please just ask and I'll give an answer! I'll include Luffy in this despite my viewing him as a son or brother, but it probably won't be x Reader based. Requests are being worked on as well.
I am using baby Ace image to break up this and the actual content from now on lol. He's just so cute. 🥺
Tumblr media
Ace is going to go all out for your first Mother’s Day. He’s buying flowers, candies, and cards, all from him and your daughter. Even if you tell him you don’t want anything except a quiet day at home with the two of them, he’s buying you gifts.
He’ll likely buy you a bracelet with your daughter’s name on it, or maybe a charm bracelet with her birthstone, so you can add any more in the future if/when you have more children. Ace will try to make you breakfast in bed, but he ends up burning the bacon to the point your smoke alarm goes off, and you have to open all the windows to air out the house the rest of the day (at least it’s a nice day out). He orders out breakfast from a nearby diner to make sure you have something that morning, he’ll even try to take your daughter out for a walk or to Luffy and Sabo’s place for the day to give you a break, but you insist on going along.
“You should have the day off though!”
“Ace, I don’t want a day off. Rogue is only three month’s old, and I’d much rather spend the day with you and her than alone. That’s not a fun Mother’s Day to me.”
The three of you end up at Luffy and Sabo’s place, the two uncles absolutely adoring their niece as she coos and lets them hold her without any crying or fussing. When you get home later that night, Ace watches you get Rogue ready for bed. He knew from the start that you would be a great mother, and sometimes, he just wishes his own mother was around to see it, and to meet her granddaughter.
~~
Law has a plan that gets thrown off when your son decides to be born a week earlier than expected, on Mother’s Day itself. He still tries to do something for you, even though the original plan of taking you out for brunch and giving you a quiet day at home while you waited for your baby to be born was now out the window. He should’ve known, ever since he met Luffy all his plans go haywire at some point. At least it led to you two meeting eventually.
Once you’ve gone to sleep and your son Rosi is in the nursery at the hospital, Law slips out to quickly put something together. He has a gift for you, a mother’s ring that will fit into your wedding band, he just needs flowers, or chocolate, or something to add to it. He doesn’t really like to be cliché, but he ends up with flowers, at least they’re something pretty you can have in your hospital room and when you’re released to take your baby boy home.
The girl in the hospital gift shops tells him he looks happy, even if Law doesn’t really show it. She swears it’s just something in the way he speaks while he asks her to pull together a small bouquet for you. He is happy, beyond that actually, knowing you two have a son, you both are healthy and safe. He has a family again, his very own. The flowers and ring aren’t enough to convey his gratitude to you for giving him a family to call his own, but it’s a start. There will be plenty more times for him to do so in the future.
When Law gets back to your room, you’re awake again and in the middle of nursing your son, a nurse helping you when you need it. She notices the flowers he’s brought and leaves you both with a smile, saying she’ll come back in a few minutes.
“Where’d you get off to?”
“Had to get something,” Law comes over and presses a kiss to your forehead, giving you a smile, “Happy Mother’s Day.”
~~
Penguin has thought of what to do every day since your daughter Wren was born. He’s come up with multiple ways to celebrate your first Mother’s Day, but nothing seems just right to him. He’s thought of brunch, breakfast in bed, giving you a day out with your friends while he watches your daughter, or even a weekend trip away, leaving your baby with her grandparents, but nothing works out. Restaurants and diners he calls are all booked up already, you hate eating in bed because of crumbs, your friends all had plans either with their own mothers or their spouses and kids, and your own parents were out of town for the next two weeks.
He ends up with no real plans for the day and feels terrible about it as it approaches. Its going to be another normal Sunday for the three of you, he hates the idea of that because it’s your first Mother’s Day, it should be special, shouldn’t it?
When the day finally comes around, Penguin is up first, hearing Wren’s little babbles through the baby monitor, and going to pick her up. At nine-months-old she’s figured out how to stand up on her own, still no steps being taken by herself, but when she sees Penguin enter the nursery, she grins and starts bouncing up and down, holding the rail of her crib and shouting “da” over and over. It makes Penguin smile as he picks her up, kissing her chubby cheek which makes her squeal.
“Good morning, Wren! Let’s keep quiet, mommy’s still asleep, okay?”
“Da!”
He laughs a bit, lifting her up over his head to make her giggle again, as she reaches her little hands towards his face.
“You know…a great gift would be for you to say ‘mama’ for the first time, yeah?”
“Ma?”
“Yeah, you’re close! Now, just say ‘mama’.”
Wren sticks her tongue out while she tries to speak, Penguin helping her along for several minutes until she finally says something close to ‘mama’.
“Mm…ma.”
Penguin sighs a bit, but nods as he brings Wren down and kisses her cheek again, making her giggle as she wraps her arms around his neck.
“You two sure have been having fun.”
Both look to you in the doorway, no shortage of smiles among the three of you, as Wren lights up and starts to reach for you, trying to say she wants you to hold her. You both take just a moment too long to get her to you, and it makes her fuss and kick her legs a bit.
“Ma…ma!”
You didn’t even get her in your arms, you and Penguin both freezing in place for a moment while Wren continues to fuss and whine, almost in tears since you haven’t held her yet.
“Mama!”
“I—”
“Her first word!!” You quickly take Wren from Penguin and hug her close, kissing her cheeks and forehead telling her how proud you are of your little girl. “This is the best Mother’s Day gift!”
At least that worked out, even if he didn’t have a plan in mind.
~~
Sanji wouldn’t have waited nearly a year to celebrate you as a mother if you hadn’t forced him to. With fraternal twins to now take care of and raise, you’ve both been through bouts of exhaustion and elation over the two babies you brought into the world. Sora and Angel, your precious blessings, were nearly a year old, and you’d already started planning a birthday party for them, completely ignoring the fact Mother’s Day was a few weeks prior to their turning one-year-old.
Sanji didn’t forget, he had a plan, one that included your twins scribbling away to make cards for you, though he didn’t expect the two to be so fussy about it and mark each other up more than the papers. He learned very quickly to not give babies or toddlers markers, unless they were washable. You still don’t fully realize how Sora ended up with a bright green mark over his right eye and Angel had a hot pink line down her left arm.
The rest was simple, breakfast in bed, made by your professional chef husband of course, and whatever else you wanted for the rest of the day. If you want to lay in bed and watch TV without interruption, he’d put your twins in the stroller and take them to the park. If you wanted to turn your phone off and sleep the day away, he’d take over and leave you alone until you needed anything. Whatever you want, it’s a day to celebrate you as the mother of his children, he wasn’t going to deny you anything.
But when you do tell him what you want, after finishing off breakfast, Sanji’s a bit surprised.
“Are you…sure?”
“Mm-hm,” you nod and try to keep Sora from grabbing the butter knife on the tray, making him whine while Angel slept in Sanji’s arms, “I want to spend the day with the three of you.”
“You…do that every day though, my love.”
“So?” smiling, you kiss the top of Sora’s head and watch Angel as she starts to stir awake, rubbing her eyes with her tiny hands, “You guys are my family. I hate the idea of not being with the three of you today, so I’d rather just spend it like we always do.”
Sanji nods a bit, seeming to understand, greeting Angel when she wakes up fully with a kiss to the forehead. It makes you happy to watch him with both your children, but especially your daughter. How could he ever think you’d want to spend the day alone? Not when you had these two blessings as your children and Sanji as your husband.
“We could still take these two to the park later, maybe burn off some energy so they nap at a decent time.”
“Of course! Whatever you want, my love.”
~~
Zoro doesn’t even fully realize that its Mother’s Day until Nami says something to him. The past few weeks with your son have been exhausting for both of you, but he can’t believe he forgot that this was a thing. He has nothing planned and isn’t sure what to do. He’s running out of time, it’s literally just a few hours away before Nami offers to take you out for the day wherever the Sunny docks in the morning. Zoro will stay with your son on the ship, and you’ll get a day off from being a mom and wife, the two think it’s the best thing to give you on such short notice, though Nami does up the interest on his debt again for this.
You don’t even get to say good morning to your husband or son before Nami has dragged you off to whatever she has planned, its really just a normal girl’s day out with shopping and lunch. Most of what you buy isn’t even for you, it’s baby items that you need or clothes you think are adorable. It just ended up making you miss your son more as the day went on.
When you do get back to the ship, your son is wailing and no one has been able to calm him down, not even Zoro while he tries his hardest and lightly bounces your baby as he shushes him gently. As soon as you drop your bags you’re taking him from your husband and holding him close to calm him down.
“Shh, shh, it’s okay, mommy’s here, Keitaro. I’m back.”
He slowly calms down once he realizes its you, burying his little face in your shoulder and keeping a tight grip on your shirt. When you ask Zoro what the deal was with Nami dragging you off the ship so early, before you even had the chance to hold Keitaro that day, he explains the situation and it just makes you tilt your head.
“…it’s Mother’s Day?”
You hadn’t even realized it. That just makes Zoro feel bad that it caused your son such distress, and he and Nami both apologize for not talking to you about it beforehand. They both assumed the other had discussed it with you. You didn’t really care to celebrate, all that mattered was being with your husband and son, the rest of your day spent with just the two of them.
Note 2: Out here dropping names like I didn't say I'd make a post about that at some point lol. So, the firstborns in order of character are Portgas D. Rogue, Trafalgar D. Rosinante (called Rosi cause it's too damn cute), Wren, Sora and Angel, and Roronoa Keitaro.

Rereading Dressrosa for the first time in quite a few years, after having become a Crocodad Truther specifically, was a really interesting experience, mainly due to the relationship between Kyros and Rebecca and Luffy's very strong feelings about those two in particular
Tumblr media
Starting with the latter point; watching Luffy get really passionate about making sure Rebecca reunited with her father, instead of the two never seeing each other again as Kyros had planned, was just really facinating to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now there ARE layers to this; Luffy saw first hand how much Rebecca and Kyros love each. Even if he didn't know or understand all the details, he knew these two were family forced to live apart due to Doflamingo's rule and that, even though Rebecca didn't know Mr Soldier was her father all those years, he still looked after her and did all he could to protect her. Luffy understands how much they matter to each other. Luffy also gets that Kyros was trying to make a sacrifice out of self-loathing; Kyros saw himself as a bloodstained monster who did not deserve to be by his daughter's side, thus his insistence on them going their separate ways. But not only is that "sacrifice out of loathing" not a thing One Piece rewards within the narrative*, but Luffy emotionally understands what Kyros was trying to do was stupid as hell. *(See; Robin trying to save the crew in the CP9 Saga, Sanji trying to offer his head to Kuma to spare everyone else (because he saw himself as the "least worthy", compared to Zoro who believed he was the only one who could actually tank Kuma and survive), Sanji again during Whole Cake Island, etc)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adding to that, in what I feel also harkens back to Alabasta (vaguely important since Dressrosa in many ways is a reflection of Alabasta); Vivi made her decision to stay in her home because that's what she wanted deep in her heart, because she loved her country. Just the same way, dethroning Doflamingo, getting revenge for her mother and reuniting with her extended family were all fine achievements. But all Rebecca wanted deep in her heart was to stay with Mr Soldier (regardless if he was her father or not). That's what mattered the most to her.
How could Luffy even think about leaving without making sure Rebecca was able decide on her own if she wanted to stay with her father, instead of him making that decision for her, not because it was truly "for the best", but out of Kyros' own guilt and self-loathing.
Tumblr media
All of that to say; Luffy becoming so emotionally involved in Rebecca and Kyros' father-daughter relationship is perfectly normal and on-brand for him, it's not strange at all.
...At the same time. I could not help but to wonder if those two's relationship could somehow reflect Luffy's relationship with his estranged parent(s), and more importantly, kind of debunk the fandom idea of Luffy as someone who 100% does not care if people are related or not and has ZERO interest in Dragon etc
Like I have discussed this before but I've been meta posting for so long on here I'll repeat myself just a lil; I feel like it's less "Luffy doesn't care Dragon is his father" and more "Luffy doesn't know HOW to feel about Dragon". We don't know what Garp told Luffy about his parent(s), presumably and based on the conversation post-Enies Lobby it just seems like Garp never mentioned ANYTHING to Luffy? Like he didn't even tell Luffy a white lie about why his parents weren't there for him? We simply do not know. But what we do know is these three things: 1. Luffy hates being alone, even more than "being hurt". Being alone is his worst fear 2. Although Garp was responsible for raising Luffy, he wasn't always there, meaning other townspeople and Shanks' crew alike were equally "responsible" for looking after Luffy. 3. Meaning Luffy was essentially an orphan. Fans will joke about Luffy's surprise at him having a father being because he's stupid, an asexy and doesn't know where babies come from, and while I may not be fully able to debunk that conceptually. Like. It's just as possible that because Luffy was raised like an orphan, he might have assumed that either his parents were dead or had abandoned him because they didn't want him. And I'm going to argue that if that's what Luffy always assumed was what happened, yeah, it'd contribute to his fear of being alone. It'd explain why he'd be surprised to find out he actually does have a father out there somewhere. And yeah, Luffy might not know how to feel about Dragon if that's the case. Should he hate Dragon because he wasn't ever there for him (from Luffy's POV)? Why wasn't Dragon there for him? Did he really not want Luffy, or did he have some reason for leaving Luffy? What is he like anyways, is he nice or cool or a dickbag?? Should Luffy even care about any of that stuff??? All of that to say; I don't think Luffy is completely disinterested in Dragon, I think he doesn't know how to feel or think about Dragon, and it's not relevant to Luffy right now anyways because Dragon's like, out there somewhere while Luffy is on his journey. Where as, if Luffy were to meet Dragon, get to know what he's like, why he wasn't there for Luffy and most importantly, how he feels about his only son (does he care about Luffy and his wellbeing? Is he a Kyros or a Kaidou?)- yeah, I think then Luffy COULD learn to be interested in Dragon and care about him Not out of obligation (because of their blood) but out of Luffy's own will, out of Luffy's acknowledgement of Dragon's love for him
And yeah, then we get to add the ever-delightful layer of Crocodad Trutherism to this mess.
You know how my personal theory goes; that Crocodile's been trying to find a way to overthrow and nuke the WG (potentially with an Ancient Weapon) to make sure his long lost child would be able to live freely and do whatever the hell he wanted without having to fear the WG would ever target him because he has Evil Revolutionary Leader Blood coursing through his veins. That's what makes the most sense to me as Crocodile's ultimate motivation. To protect his child, no matter the cost, even if he had to become the devil himself.
And hey, what was the story between Kyros and Rebecca again? Kyros trying to overthrow a corrupt government (a fallen Tenryuubito to boot) to protect his child so she could live freely without having a target on her back?
Tumblr media
I don't need to explain how One Piece does have repeating themes and motifs, surely. (Also there's something to be said about fathers in One Piece who would go to hell and back for their daughters, Kuma being another example, but that's a whole different essay. But Oda's Girl-Dad Agenda is showing)
But yeah, what's even more interesting here is how Kyros believed he didn't deserve to have a reunion with Rebecca. He commited a murder decades ago, and although everyone else seems to have forgiven him for that crime, Kyros himself still thinks of himself as a horrible murderer with bloodstained hands. Not helped by how Kyros thought him teaching Rebecca self-defence skills was a failure on his part as a father (instead of him doing all he could in the horrible situation they were stuck in; teaching Rebecca how to defend herself was absolutely justified, and Kyros shouldn't have blamed himself for anything there).
Tumblr media
Kyros didn't think he deserved to be with his daughter because he wasn't a good father, because was a monster. And Kyros could not believe anything other than that until Rebecca essentially forgave him, by explicitly telling him she wanted them to stay side-by-side. That she wanted him, and no one fucking else, as her father.
Tumblr media
And I once again repeat myself just a little as I ask; how would Luffy feel if he found out Crocodile was his father? How would Luffy feel if he found out the reason Crocodile was going to destroy Vivi's country was because he was trying to protect his son from the WG? And that son was Luffy himself? How would Luffy feel that the asshole who stabbed him through the gut, mummified him and poisoned him was his very own family? Who also saved Luffy's life the second he learned of their blood connection? How would Luffy feel in that situation, if he found out Crocodile cares about Luffy, and wants him to be okay? And how does Crocodile feel? After stabbing Luffy through the gut, mummifying him and poisoning the brat, does Crocodile feel like he has any right to call himself Luffy's parent, let alone father? He knows Luffy rightfully hates him for all the horrible things he has done, how could Luffy ever accept him?
The past is in the past and it can't be changed. But you always have the choise, the free will, to change yourself and become a better person. You can choose to do better things, to help others and be kinder. You can have a second chance.
Robin was given a second chance. Hacchi was given one too. Kyros was given that chance to become better. So why not Crocodile?

Which op yan do you think would be the most annoying texter in a modern au?? I think sanji would drive me insane, I know he'd be texting nonstop. I also think buggy would ask his romantic interest if they'd still love him as a worm. Many times.
Sanji would be so excessive. You have to put your phone on do not disturb just to have a moment's peace. It literally never ends.
Sanji: Good morning, my love! It's another beautiful day of being able to call you mine 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
*pic attached*
Sanji: Here's the breakfast I'm making you! I'll bring it over as soon as it's done 😋😘
-
*sends a pic of any two things next to each other*
Sanji: This is literally us 🥺
-
Sanji: I just wanted to say again how much I love you💞❤️🩷💕💞💓🩷💕💞 (he says this even though he saw you in person three minutes ago and said the exact same thing then)
-
Sanji: Where did you go???? Are you mad at me??????? Have you been kidnapped?????????
Sanji: Oh wait never mind I see you now
Sanji: I'm calling your name why are you running the other way?
Buggy is someone who needs constant reassurance, and he uses having your phone number as a means to constantly get that from you. But like he's also very dramatic about it.
Buggy: do u hate me now? say it to my face at least
You: literally what are you talking about?
Buggy: I asked you a question and you ignored me!
You: I was gone for like 2 minutes????
Buggy: AND???? Why were you gone???
You: I was ordering some food for us but nvm I'm gonna go home and eat it all myself 😒
Buggy: ...
Buggy: I'm sorry please don't hate me for real now 🥺🥺🥺 I love you so much baby please don't leave me 😭😭😭
Zoro is on the opposite end of the spectrum because he doesn't text excessively, but you are lucky to get more than a one word response out of him. You could send him a several paragraph long text spilling your guts to him and all you'll get from him is a "k" or "alright" or "👍". If you send more than two texts in a row, he'll tell you to just call him if you're going to yap that much.
Luffy doesn't text, he sends voice memos. Not only does he send an absurd amount of them, but they're also all stupidly long because he gets distracted and rambles to his heart's content. What was supposed to be a simple voice memo asking if his jacket is at your place comes to you with a 31:46 time on it because he saw a cool looking beetle outside and just had to tell you about it in the memo. Half the time he forgets that he isn't actually on the phone with you and will ask a question several times before he remembers.
Doflamingo sends a lot of texts, but all of them are voice to text and are almost entirely unintelligible. The voice to text function wasn't designed to interpret his weird inflections and maniacal laughter. He also has a tendency to talk to other people in the middle of sending a text to you, so you have a whole ass random conversation smack in the middle of the text. He then has the audacity to have an attitude with you when you didn't catch the important thing he told you.
With Ace, you're going to feel like you're communicating via hieroglyphics because of how many of his messages to you are just memes/reaction images. He won't elaborate and lets you figure out what they mean. Did he just find that meme funny, or is there a hidden message in it? Who knows.
And then you have all of the old men (Sengoku, Garp, Whitebeard, etc) who can't text for shit and will send a series of unintelligible and confused texts before sending a very defeated "please call me"

i like to eat human flesh
-> zombie lu 🧟‍♂️ (fem!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings: MDNI, smut, blood, sharp objects (knives), murder, luffy is zombie, riding, bondage, ‘feedings’, monster fucking, cream pie, knotting
summary: YOU LOCKED YOUR ZOMBIE BOYFRIEND UP IN YOUR BASEMENT, CAN YOU TRUST HIM NOT TO EAT YOU?
☆彡
you waited for the perfect time, you eyed the blond haired man for thirty minutes before deciding to make your move. trembling in your fingertips as the grip on your knife tightened. there was no time for error, it was now or never. feedings always had you feeling like this, the regret and second thoughts consumed your sorry mind. nothing else mattered to you once you remembered the predicament you were in.
the blond didn’t seem much trouble, he only sat there to chain smoke his cigarettes and chat with the pretty women that passed by. he was predictable, and you used that to your advantage. it was becoming later in the night, all traces of people disappeared, leaving only him behind. you then revealed yourself from the lurks of the shadows. a few deep breaths was all you needed to regain your confidence, you carefully made your way closer.
immediately he noticed your presence and started spewing flirty phrases at you. though, you couldn’t register any of his remarks, you could only just move.
he puffed his cigarette and smiled warmly. “hello gorgeous, mind if i-” you quickly raised your knife to his throat, cutting a line horizontally.
blood mist sprayed across face and you heard the thud of a grown man dropping to the floor, the ensemble shaking you to your core. ‘oh my… god? shit… gotta go. now.’
you rushed to bag the man and disposed of any possible evidence. luckily enough, you didn’t run into any witnesses on your commute back, your small house was only a couple more meters away. the mans stiff body weighed a thousand bricks as you dragged him along, you struggled but feeding your boyfriend was your only worry.
your poor baby, you hated doing this but you wanted to take care of him anyway that you could. the first week was the hardest for the both of you.
luffy had been feeling kind of off these past few days but he told you not to worry, he reassured you that it was probably just something he ate and that he had just a little stomach bug.
that wasn’t the case though, you still have no idea what exactly it was but his little ‘stomach bug’ turned out to be so much more life threatening. one afternoon you came home to him violently shaking and foaming at the mouth, he was hardly breathing. once your rushed to join him on the cold floor he stopped.. almost as if he was waiting to share his last breaths with you. he choked and cried as blood drained from his mouth, he was pleading for you.
“y/n- please… help me.” he stoped, every muscle in his body completely still and shut down.
you laid there with his blood staining your hands as you tried to tell him that he would be okay. hot tears never stopping to fall from your face, you held his dying body.
he somehow turned into a lifeless monster, skin cold and eyes blank, he was a zombie? you never thought it was possible it your lifetime but… luffy…
you couldn’t bear loosing your love, so you kept him.
currently he was tied up in tattered ropes but it always wasn’t that way.
his symptoms weren’t so bad in the beginning, but he started to show dark veins trickling up and down his body, he had also gone non verbal.
you tried everything. how was he dead one second, then up and moving the next? it was a confusing time.
you thought medication would solve your problems but that also didn’t work, he refused to take them. you aslo didn’t have access to pharmaceuticals so you tried advil and ibuprofen, it was a sad attempt but you hoped it would do something.
he began to get worse, he threw furniture and had groaning tantrums when you wouldn’t let him leave the house. he was getting stronger and more aggressive, it terrified you but there was no way in hell you’d give up now.
“luuuu..” you spoke quietly as you entered the room. your boyfriend looked so spent and defeated, his limbs were tied to the arms and legs of the chair but his head was tossed back as whines and breathy groans fled his mouth.
his head perked up at the sight of you, never once acknowledging the body you dragged along.
“baby please eat, you haven’t for the past few days, i’m trying everything… you didn’t like the animals i’ve brought you, please what is it you need.”
you pled with your eyes looking desperately into his own, hoping to get some sort of answer. you quickly realized talking wasn’t going to get you anywhere. your warm hand came to softly hold the side of his cold, decaying face. he closed his eyes and growled. with his reaction, it was easy to tell what he was wanting. he was reminding you so much of the old lu..
his eyes grazed every inch of your body as you saw him struggle in his restraints. he wanted you so bad but he didn’t know how to ask for it, he hoped you would get the hint from his motions.
he’s relearned simple words again from listening to you all day, you spent as much time as you could with him in your basement because you felt he would grow lonely without the presence of society. he’s only really learnt commands like, ‘no’ and ‘please’, but you’re grateful for how far he’s come.
it wasn’t until this moment that you knew what he needed, your touch. the way he looked at you and how he would shuffle his hips up in the chair made you so sad. you’ve had him here, tied up, and he just wanted to touch himself, or rather, you.
‘no’. you shook your head. you couldn’t possibly think to fuck your zombie boyfriend. his icy hand all over you, his pretty lips, the way his cock stimulated you perfectly.. ‘no!’ but the thoughts made you curious and you missed the touch of your sweet boyfriend. seeing him needy and somewhat obedient again drove you insane.
it was almost like it really was him, the tender look in his pale eyes made you emotional.
“luffy~ hi babes.” you touched his icy skin, all fear leaving your body seeing him act so delicate.
“so.. you’re not hungry lu?” you gestured to the brown sack bag in the corner of the room with blood patches staining the outside. he shook his head quickly, low growls muttering through his chapped lips.
“and you’re not gonna bite me if i touch you? right baby?” you kneel down before him feeling up the length of his jeans, playing with the stubborn buttons and zips.
a deep hunger like moan rippled in the room, he moved his hips up again but you removed your hands.
“say something lu- you’re not going to hurt me, right?”
he couldn’t formulate proper words with some of his vocal cords mutilated but you could understand him most of the time. the vibrato in his voice dragged along.
“mmHghhhhgahHh y-y/naahGghhAgg-”
he nodded his head to agree to your previous question, growls and snarls accompanying his eager movements. his moans were like no other, he truly was a monster. though, you couldn’t help but fall apart at the sounds of hearing him call out your name again.
luffy looked so innocent tied up in his ropes, you wanted to take care of him. if he wasn’t gonna eat, you could at least help him feel good. the growing knot in your stomach also wanted to please your helpless zombie boyfriend.
“fuck it.” you muttered. “let me help you luffy, gonna take these off okay?”
you played with the buttons of his pants, struggling to get them off. the nerves mixed with anticipation made you tremble. you haven’t touched your boyfriend in a few weeks, though it truly felt like an eternity.
luffy couldn’t wait either, and it showed when you saw many wet spots decorating his gray boxers.
a gasp escaped your lips as you saw the sheer width of him through the thin fabric. you were unsure if it was some sort of zombified mutation or if it was his pent up frustration, but he was thick.
he was moving more and more at the slightest touches from you but the ropes held his top half relatively still, his whines growing restless. luffy was trying to let you know that he needed you now, he prayed that you understood his intentions.
you finally got his boxers off and your eyes widened, your panties collecting moisture at the sight of him.
his fat, curved cock sprung up with such elasticity, he smacked hard against his torso. he looked so beautiful. so wide and leaky, his tip was black as night fading all the way down to his ghostly pale base. it made you squirm, remembering that he was undead.
he growled again at you, he was becoming more vocal as to say, ‘hurry up’.
hearing his deep moans made your tummy flutter, you rushed to undress yourself. the chill air of the basement made you shiver, you needed him to stretch you out.
you raised yourself onto his lap to line your entrance up carefully with his twitching cock, preparing to lower yourself down slowly.
his devious mind had other ideas, completely ignoring your preparations and fucking himself up to meet his thighs with your ass, bottoming out as he stretched your tight little hole.
“luffy!!!” you cried, you didn’t have the chance to adjust to his width, you sat there for a moment with your face hung in the crook of his neck, tears falling from your face.
it took quite some time but you thought you were ready to move. with tears still trickling, you began to rock your hips. the pain slowly turned into pleasure.
luffy’s thick cock stirred inside you, hitting more spots than from when he was human. you stretched so beautifully around him, making a mess all over his thighs. the combination of his harsh thrusts and semi-automatic dick rutting inside you had you slamming down hard on him, you couldn’t keep your eyes open. you were trapped.
with his arms still tied, he only hadso much to work with, his cock and his drooling mouth. he felt his orgasm coming with the sight of your pretty face finally comsumed with the pleasure of his monster dick. his balls so heavy from not being drained for several weeks, he needed to release in you.
he felt your tight muscles clench around the base of his cock, groaning deeply with you. his thick load ready to destroy your insides.
his devilish urges couldn’t escape, he needed to bite. with the mix of waves of pleasure and the loud whimpers foaming from your mouth, it only felt natural. he lowered his head to the crevasse of your neck as you bounced on his pulsing cock, riding out your orgasm. he sucked hard on your warm skin, wetnesses and drool dripping down your collarbone. the feeling making you dizzy and incoherent, you didn’t feel the pain until it was too late. his suckles formed into nibbles.
your moans quickly turned into yelps, you were still surrounding his heavy cock but almost immediately you recovered from your orgasm.
the taste of your sweet blood filled him, giving him more energy then ever. you felt his cock stiffen again inside of you. “l-luffy! what are you doing! stop it!!” you struggled to move, his cock thickening within your gummy walls.
he was knotted, his tip so large you couldn’t escape. with his mouth still attached, he fucked into you harder. the taste of your rich blood and the ecstasy of your perfect cunt, it felt as if he was alive again.
your screams where ignored as he used your pathetic little body, completely lust and blood drunk.
the mix of feelings confused you, the pleasure you felt in your core was other worldly, but was it worth being fed on? you began feeling lightheaded as he drained you of blood cells, you couldn’t separate from him and he didn’t stop. you went limp on his body, reality started to fade away..
-
you eventually woke up, the room was quiet and the chair was empty. ‘did he escape?’ panic started to settle in, how could you let this happen? you knew he was a threat!
shuffling footsteps was all you heard behind you, it was hard to move from all of your injuries but he was met with you soon enough.
all his teeth were on display as he smiled devilishly at you, darkened blood painted from his chin to his chest.
he limped closer to you, groans and growls echoing in the confinement of your cold basement.
“luffy- please, don’t do this!! baby!! it’s me!” you tried, as if a pathetic plea would stop such a monster..
*munch munch munch*
he eats you :3
if u like!!! pls lmk i love being praised 🙈

warnings : none but there’s a surprise at the end
a/n : here you go nonnie I hope you enjoy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it was the middle of the night and you and ace were in your room on pops’s ship .. well more so ace barged in and jumped onto your bed and you were now running your fingers through his locs of hair.
“y/n…I worry about him sometimes y’know” ace mummered
“who? luffy??” you asked gently as ace then nodded his head confirming your question.
“his bounty keeps getting higher, more often than mines did… i’m afraid all of his recklessness is going to catch up to him one day and I won’t be there to help him through it” he stated with visible concern in his voice. while yes he is proud of his brother for getting his name out there, different opponents with power scales that vary from eachother are bound to appear he could only worry for his younger brothers safety and sanity.
“ace” your eyes softened as you continued”we’re pirates we’re bound to face a foe more powerful in the future and overcome them” but it’s only natural that you worry about your younger sibling I worry about mines as well, luffy has an amazing crew I’m guaranteed they’ll protect him and eachother ”
ace was happy that he wasn’t alone about his feelings of worry but this new information surprised him
poor poor ace you sweet summer child
“never knew about you having a sibling” ace said tilting his head with genuine curiosity.
“remember how I told you how I come from a family of nobles” you asked as ace had nodded his head
“I ran away from home, so I don’t know if he still remembers me or hates me and wants to kill me for leaving him behind, I think about him a lot and wonder if he’s doing ok from time to time”
“can you tell me about him ? what was his name”
“well his name was sabo and he—“
“SABO?!” ace yelling shooting causing you to have dot eyes
“yea he’s my younger brother do you know him?” you asked
“know him ? he’s my younger brother” ace yelled pointing at himself making your eyes wide and jaw drop.
“NO WAY” you both yelled pointing at eachother
“SHUT UP AND GO TO SLEEP—YOI”
“YEA SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO SLEEP”
well guess the crew is awake

I keep thinking about a Roger who got his illness cured and raising Ace with Rouge and being retired after faking his death. Ace who is suddenly two years older than normal as they settle in Foosha in the East Blue with some mountain bandits nearby. They're out sailing when they stumble upon the Germa fleet and Sanji escaping to the orbit when Rouge goes and gets him before he makes it to the Orbit and gets back to the small ship they sail and twelve year old Ace is looking at the kid as Roger, who had babies on his ships, frowns at the shape the kid is in.
So they go back to Foosha and get Sanji situated and Ace really doesn't like the new kid taking up his parents time. He's acting like a toddler when a new baby comes home basically. Ace is pissed despite the kid having a lot of scars and Ace spends a lot of time in the jungle. So he spends even more time there. He eventually meets Luffy and Sabo and decides to go tell his parents he's living in the jungle since they have a new kid and he found brothers he actually likes.
Roger and Rouge know how hard it can be going from an only child situation to suddenly having a sibling but like, fuck Ace, look at the kid who is hiding? Also where did you find more more kids? Can we meet them? It's fine if you want to live in the jungle with them, but you all can also live here? It's fine?
Sanji feels bad and avoids Ace who is still absolutely a mama's boy so he spends most of his time with Roger. Ace brings home Sabo and Luffy to meet them but Sanji just stays in the other room. Turns out they're spending the night so Sanji climbs to the roof to sleep, it's nice to sleep outside in Foosha. Roger climbs up and sits with him and explains that sometimes forcing a situation doesn't work; a lesson he's learned the hard way. Roger pets Sanji's hair and holds him and apologizes for not knowing what to do but he knows in time Ace will come around. Sanji shrugs and says it's okay, he's used to not being wanted.
Roger feels his heart breaking because he knows the ways he's failed Shanks and Buggy. Knows how he fucked them up and nothing he'll do will ever fix it. Sanji who is small and has a permanent red ring around his neck that he and Rouge put lotion on every day. Sanji who is smaller than he should be and quieter and so well behaved unlike the noble boy Ace brought home. Not that Roger has room to judge because the kid spoke viciously about the government and nobles so it made sense and Luffy only talked about Shanks with them.
Garp shows up when Ace is out with Sabo and Luffy. Sanji is looking at the marine as Roger holds him and Rouge laughs and talks smack about Roger with Garp(we all know Rouge was above him okay? They know it too) and introduces him to Sanji. Garp asks them to keep an eye on Luffy and raise him for him and Dragon, which they agree to easily after everything he has done for them. Garp asks Sanji what he wants to be when he grows up and Sanji says a chef on the All Blue. Garp nods and says the Marines would be a good way to get there and Roger kicks the man out of his house and says to stop spreading propaganda. ASL, who happen to be walking up, cheer until Luffy realizes it's his grandpa and gets a fist of love which makes Rouge chase him with her staff.
Rouge tells ASL when she's done and after Garp leaves. She explains what he asked and how they won't stop them but they are there for them if they need them. Luffy asks if they really can stay there longer and Rouge is like 'Of course, the more the merrier!' and it's like a light bulb for Ace when his mom says that because she wanted more kids, Ace remembers wanting siblings when he was younger but nothing ever came of it.
Until Sanji came along. Sanji who was thin and wiry like Luffy. So Ace tries to do better by Sanji after that. Luffy and Sabo don't get it but they go along with it and grow to accept Sanji as another brother. Sanji becomes more open and free with them and of course the three of them fight over Sanji being their cook. Roger and Rouge laugh at the antics until the terminal fires and they lose Sabo. They comfort their children and they heal in time.
Ace still sets off at seventeen and then Sanji and Luffy set off together later. Everything is the same still. Like Rouge and Roger and them keep up with the papers and they know Ace is in the White Beard fleet and they've seen poor Sanji's poster. But then Ace disappears from the news and there was a buster call on Enies Lobby so now the former King and Queen of the Pirates are setting sail as fast as they can to go see what's going on when news of Ace's execution comes out so they head there and then Roger says while they're there they should get Buggy out of Impel Down so he can meet the others. Rouge screams and asks why he didn't mention Buggy was in Impel Down and Roger yells he absolutely did and said Garp did it.
They barely make it in time to Marineford to help save their son-is that Luffy? Rouge is screaming at the top men of the marines as Ace stares at them and Roger is yelling at Luffy and Buggy. Buggy is gaping at them as Luffy runs forward yelling 'mom' and 'dad' and makes the Impel Down escape team shake their heads before running into the fight. Once it's over, Ace and Luffy both taking life threatening punches and being shipped off and most of the battle field passed out from the sheer amount of haki Roger has let out and Shanks shows up and is there to end the war and pick up Buggy.
Rouge is dragging Roger by the ear after explaining everything to his brats and apologizing but says they need to find Luffy's crew and their other son and Shanks and Buggy keep asking how many kids they have and Roger says counting Shanks and Buggy he has six, one's dead though.
Also Roger and Rouge sending the crew off at Sabaody and Roger casually asking how it was training Luffy and if he checked in on Shanks and Buggy after everything. Rayleigh keeps trying to avoid the second question but Luffy went with Boa six months before. Rouge, terrifying Rouge who is glaring at Rayleigh demanding to know why he never checked in with them when that was Roger's technically last request to him and why would he let Luffy go with Boa. Rayleigh is pale. So fucking pale he looks like he's about to pass out as he stutters about Roger not being dead and lying. Roger gives him the most unimpressed look because that still doesn't cover not checking in on their brats and the punch he gets is well deserved.

okay just because we were talking about this - how do you think an asl reunion at alabasta would look like?
i hope its ok that i took this as an excuse to write an au no one asked for :')
read on ao3
x
A lot of the problems in Ace’s young life—most of them, if he was being honest—could be attributed to the shitty choices that adults around him made.
When Bluejam grabbed Luffy by the scruff, the business end of a pistol jammed painfully into the nape of his neck, he was talking a bunch of shit about how Sabo’s dad ripped him off. He was paid to kill Ace and Luffy but he’d been short-changed, and for a man who seemed to think he was entitled to a certain lot in life, it rankled.
“But that noble brat doesn’t make a bad ransom,” the man said, shaking a weepy Luffy in one meaty hand to shut him up, like Ace’s baby brother was nothing but a piece of dirty laundry. “If his family won’t buy him back, I’m sure someone will.”
Ace’s blood turned to ice in his veins. Whatever time Ace didn’t spend in the jungle he spent in the gutters and outskirts of the city, where every unwanted, street-sharpened child knew the risk a certain kind of stranger brought with them.
If Sabo ended up with a slaver, Ace would never get his brother back. Pieces of him, maybe. But not the same golden boy he was right now. Not the brave, proud, secretly soft-hearted person Ace loved so much. He’d come back different if he came back at all.
He had to compartmentalize. He couldn’t act rashly until he had Luffy back. His mind raced frantically, but he made sure it didn’t show on his face. He snatched Luffy up when Bluejam finally let him go and made his own body a wall between his brother and the men who had no compunctions about hurting him to prove a point.
They were left to spread gasoline throughout the terminal, while the pirates made their way back down to the beach. Not one of them lingered to make sure Ace and Luffy did as they were told, and Ace should have wondered about that. Should have wondered why they were making themselves scarce, why the city gates were barred, what all those fuel canisters are for, but his thoughts were too full of other things.
That was why, the second the coast was clear, he tossed his gasoline drum aside and seized Luffy by the arms. He stooped to look right into his eyes, trying to ignore the way his chest panged at how wide and red they were.
“I have to go get Sabo,” he said firmly. “You have to stay here.”
“Let me come!” Luffy cried immediately, predictably. “Don’t leave me behind!”
“It’ll be faster if you wait,” Ace snapped, because he didn’t want to say that Luffy was going nowhere near any ship bound for the slave market, because then he would have to explain why. Even without the Fruit that made him a special novelty in the Blues, Luffy would be snatched up by evil hands in a heartbeat. “You’re too little, you’ll just slow me down,” he said instead.
It wasn’t nice, and when Ace had time later, he would feel bad about the way Luffy’s lip trembled. But for now, it was important that he got his point across. Every second he lingered was another inch ahead Bluejam’s crew got. Ace’s world would literally end if their ship left port without him.
So he gave Luffy’s shoulders a push that propelled him back a step. Then he pointed in the direction of the treeline. He made his face mean and forbidding.
“I mean it, Luffy,” he said. “Go wait for me at home.”
Luffy finally tucked his chin in a miserable little nod. Ace gentled despite himself and reached out because there were two people he would always reach out for and one of them was right in front of him.
He flicked the brim of Luffy’s hat up enough that it fell off his head, and then ruffled his hair. A gesture so familiar and well-practiced it was like muscle memory to him now. Luffy didn’t smile, but it kept the tears at bay for a bit longer, and Ace left him with another firm point back at the jungle.
Ace was a child, doing his best to keep his tiny family together. He had a half-formed plan that he would sneak about Bluejam’s ship and find Sabo wherever he was and they would fight their way out and escape together and reunite with Luffy in time for a midnight dinner. He was a pragmatic youth, and was made wiser by the world than any ten-year-old should have been, but he was still only ten years old. He couldn’t have guessed what was going to happen.
He would piece it together later—that Bluejam had been commissioned by the kingdom to make sure the Gray Terminal burned down, a noble title he planned to come back to collect once he had auctioned off Outlook’s eldest son to the highest bidder—that Ace had chased after one brother and left the other alone in a place that was about to go up in flames.
When he climbed aboard the Blood Batako, he didn’t realize it would be the last time he saw Dawn Island for almost half a year.
He didn’t realize that Luffy would wait for him right there where Ace left him, even as the fire spread into walls of flames much taller than a scrawny seven year old—frightened and crying, little hands bunched in the front of his own shirt as he choked for each breath in the thick, acrid smoke. That Dadan would find him there and haul him away kicking weakly but not screaming, because there wasn’t enough oxygen left in his body to scream. That the asphyxiation, not the fire, is what nearly killed Luffy that night. That he would spend the next week in Foosha Village tended to by their only doctor and wake up with some of his memory intact, but not all. That he would recognize Makino, but wouldn’t know Dadan.
Ace had no way of knowing, when he and Sabo finally made their way home, well-traveled at the tender young age of freshly eleven, and relieved to see journey’s end for the time being, and looking forward to reuniting with a certain crybaby who had probably been miserable cooped up in Dadan’s country or at Party’s Bar without them, that Luffy will have been gone for months by then.
“A cruise ship docked further up the island,” Makino says fretfully, “and a little boy who worked in the kitchens came down here to play because he said he didn’t like the way the kingdom smelled. He and Luffy were fast friends. I had no idea Luffy was planning to leave with him until I found the note he left in his room, and by then they were long gone.”
It’s a good thing Sabo is there, because Ace’s head is just a roar of white noise. Sabo is the one who chokes out, “But—what—did—did you call Gramps? What did he say? Is he going to find him?”
“I don’t have his direct line. I’ve left a dozen messages with his office, but you know how he is,” Makino says, forgetting that they don’t, actually. “He hardly remembers that he has an office. And the number Dadan has for him is no good.”
“Why would Luffy wander off like that?” Sabo says, progressively getting louder. “Why wasn’t someone watching him?”
“He’s just been so restless since the fire,” Makino replies. “There wasn’t anything keeping him here anymore, and it seemed like he just needed one good excuse to leave.”
Sabo looks as gutted by that as Ace probably feels, hurt and confusion racing their way across his face. And Ace finally makes his contribution, in the form of a choked, “What do you mean?” which is when Makino realizes there’s something they still don’t know.
She sits them both down at a table and holds one of each of their hands in hers, and gently explains that while they were gone, the world as they knew it had changed forever, and the happy little boy who always ran to catch up to them wasn’t running after them anymore.
———
Ace still forms the Spades, and Sabo still falls in with the Revolutionary Army, and the only reason they don’t sail together the way they promised when they were young is because the ocean is awfully big. They have a lot of square footage to cover, and splitting up is the only way they could even hope to cover it all.
It doesn’t occur to either of them to give up at any point. As Sabo climbs ranks, as Ace gathers a crew, both their bounties increasing every day, they continue to search faithfully. Either they’ll find him one day, or they’ll simply spend the rest of their lives looking.
Masked Deuce says, “What about the cruise ship he left on? Did you track it down?”
“Boarded by pirates that same year,” Ace replies. “According to the official report, it sank in a storm.”
The loaded silence says everything Masked Deuce will not say. Ace doesn’t care what someone who has never met Luffy thinks about his odds of survival at sea. If Deuce knew Luffy, he would understand. Since he doesn’t, Ace’s first mate can believe his captain is delusional all he likes as long as it doesn’t keep him from doing his job.
Deuce turns out to be a better friend than Ace deserves. One day when Ace leaves his crew to party with some locals and sets off into town to distribute flyers and put his ear to the ground, he hears someone rumble something under their breath about a hopeless cause. He doesn’t even have time to turn around before Deuce has seemingly teleported across the bar and knocked the dissenter out cold.
“Anyone who shares his opinion is free to get their shit and leave,” he says calmly.
The only voices that rise up are ones who sound very offended that Deuce would lump them in with that guy, and Ace refuses to look as touched as he feels.
When he hears word of Red-Hair Shanks in nearby waters, he tracks the man down to a wintery island and leads his crew up a small mountain to meet him. In part, he wants to thank this man who saved his little brother all those years ago. But also…
“I heard about the fire,” Shanks said grimly. “And Makino kept me updated about little Anchor until he disappeared. I’ve got eyes out looking, too, Ace. The world is big, but not so big that we’ll never find him.”
It’s a relief to know that Luffy is so loved, that more than just his brothers care if he’s ever found. But in true Luffy fashion, he explodes onto the scene when he’s good and ready.
Ace is woken up by Deuce kicking the door of the captain’s quarters off its hinges and shoving a crinkled Wanted poster into Ace’s bleary face so that a toothy, stretching smile is the first thing he sees.
He accidentally sets half the room on fire, a slip-up the likes of which hasn’t happened since the first week after he ate his Fruit, and there’s a lot of screaming, and someone shoves a baby Den-Den at him so he can call Sabo. From the way his nakama were carrying on, you would think it was their long-lost brother in the paper.
“I was about to call,” Sabo says breathlessly in lieu of a hello after only barely half a ring. “You saw it?”
“I saw,” Ace replies. The newspaper is rattling noisily in his hands but he can’t get them to stop shaking. “He took down Arlong Park. There are all these witness statements from the villagers. They’re saying he did it all for his friend.”
“If anyone even thinks about coming for his bounty, I’m killing everyone on the Grand Line and then myself,” Sabo says. It takes knowing him as well as Ace knows him to be able to tell over the phone that he’s crying buckets.
“Get in line,” Ace says. If anyone so much as looks at Luffy wrong he’s burning this goddamn planet down. He can’t tear his eyes away from the poster for more than a few seconds at a time. At the urchin grin, the pencil-mark curve of a scar, this bright young man he’s never met who is so, so familiar.
“They’re calling him Straw Hat Luffy,” Deuce says. He’s a pillar of serenity in a sea of absolute chaos, leaning on Ace’s shoulder to read with him. There’s a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Now I’ll finally get to meet him.”
Which turns out to be easier said than done, because Luffy and his merry band of lunatics won’t seem to stay in one fucking spot for longer than an hour. It takes weeks to finally track that cute little caravel down to a summer island about halfway through the Grand Line, and by that time Sabo has taken a leave of absence from the Army to join him. They’re close now. They’re so close.
Wait for me, Ace would beg him if he could, wondering if this was how Luffy felt all those times his big brothers ran ahead and left him behind.
———
Ace never knew how heavy a heart could be when he was a child, a half-feral, angry, touch-starved thing. But now his heart is full—now it bursts at the seams, spills through his ribcage, until there’s no part of him that isn’t touched by it—and it’s the heaviest thing he’s ever carried.
A precious burden. He’s twice the man he would have been without it. He will never, not one time in his life ever, entertain the idea of putting it down.
But gods, Ace thinks, it would be easier, so much easier, to rip the stupid thing out of his chest and walk around a hollow shell of someone once-loved than it would be to stand here for one more minute and look down at his baby brother looking up at him like he’s a total stranger.
“Who’s this guy?” a blond man behind Luffy mutters. With the touseled hair hanging in an artful curtain over half his face and the cigarette between his teeth and the well-cut linen suit that makes it very clear he never skips leg day, blondie gives off an air of Do Not Fuck With Me just by breathing in a way that reminds Ace of Sabo at that age.
The swordsman beside him, called Roronoa Zoro on his bounty poster, is scowling outright, gray eyes sharp, ready at any moment to leap over Luffy like a faithful hound and dig into Ace with his teeth the second he presents as danger.
It makes Ace feel kind of nostalgic, like he’s looking at an old photo of himself.
He tries to focus on the nostalgic feeling, because all the rest of his brain is drowning in guilt and grief.
Somehow, he wasn’t prepared for this moment. Years of searching, nearly half his life, and he’s finally standing in front of the person whose absence tore a hole clean out of his whole future, and he has no idea what to say.
You look well, springs to mind, because Luffy does. His hair and skin and eyes are all different shades of brown that gleam with good health under the desert sun. He’s still skinny, but not in the waifish, underfed way of all the Gray Terminal kids. He looks like he’s been eating well. It settles something in Ace’s heart in the one tiny corner of it that isn’t breaking.
I should have been there, is the next-most immediate thought, and it almost takes Ace’s knees out from under him. He should have been there to make sure Luffy ate well. He should have been there to save him from the fire, to help him recover from the smoke sickness, to hold him when he cried in his sleep and to take his hand when he wandered aimlessly around the village with no one to play with and nothing to look forward to.
I’m sorry I left you, is what it boils down to, what Ace has held close and carved into his heart over the years, hating himself, hating the child he was who thought he knew better, who thought he could conquer everything without losing anything. I never should have left you.
But Luffy doesn’t know him from any other person in this busy marketplace, his head tilting to one side like a curious little bird’s, and Ace can’t think of anything to say to him that he’ll understand.
He needs Sabo. He’s about to become a walking fire hazard, and he’s about to mess this whole thing up, this reunion that was almost a decade in the making. Luffy’s two friends are eyeing him with mounting suspicion the longer he stands there and stares at their captain, every line of their body still the way a predator’s body stills in preparation for a pounce. Luffy, for his part, is still engaged, but only barely. His interest is slipping away—there are too many sights and smells and things bustling all around for him to want to stand still for a gawking stranger that doesn’t even have anything exciting to say.
His little brother. Crybaby Luffy. The boy who crawled under Ace’s blanket when their treehouse quaked in a storm, who held Sabo’s hand when they stayed out too late and walked home through the jungle in the dark. He’s a pirate now, a Wanted person, with a crew and a ship all his own, and he got this far without them. The last time Ace saw him was that last night in the Gray Terminal, when Ace was being mean on purpose to make sure Luffy stayed away from certain danger.
It occurs to Ace, for the very first time, that Luffy doesn't need him anymore. That tiny seven year old grew up.
“I saw you in the paper,” he finally says, making a concentrated effort to sound like a human being. “You’re pretty cool.”
Luffy brightens immediately. “Yeah? Are you a pirate, too?”
“I am. Made a promise to my brothers when I was a kid that we’d sail the seas together one day.”
“Wow!” Luffy says, suitably impressed. “We made a promise like that, too.” He loops both his arms through one of Blondie’s and one of Roronoa’s. “We decided way back when we were little that we were gonna stick together and become the pirate king, and the greatest swordsman, and the man who discovers All Blue!”
So one of his two guard dogs must be the little kitchen boy from The Orbit who spirited Luffy away from Foosha. The other must have come along not much later if they were all children together. Ace wants to hear the story so badly he has to clench his jaw to keep from asking. He wants to hear about everything.
Instead, ignoring the way Roronoa’s hand closes around the hilt of one of his swords, Ace reaches out and flicks the brim of Luffy’s hat so that it slips backwards off his head. Luffy squawks, and tries to free his arms in time to catch it, and then freezes in place at the touch to his hair.
Ace ruffles it fondly, muscle memory that hasn’t corroded even after a decade, and says what he should have said the first time that sunshine child in a worn straw hat shared a wild, impossible wish;
“I hope I’m there to see it when all those dreams of yours come true.”
If he had stayed a second longer, he would have seen the way Luffy mirrored Ace’s touch with his own fingers, frozen in place.
Instead, Ace has officially reached his emotional threshold, and formally retreats to find his twin. They take turns being the stable one and Ace is calling dibs on being a basket case for the next month. Masked Deuce is just going to have to deal.
Sabo got back to their meeting spot first, an outdoor table outside a tavern that hasn’t yet opened for the day, and already has their map rolled out and pinned down at the corners by various junk from their luggage. He’s marking something down and calls over a distracted hello, and Ace bleakly replies, “I found him.”
His tone is all wrong for the remarkably momentous occasion he’s announcing, so it’s not really Sabo’s fault that it doesn’t click right away. Sabo says, “Found who?” and Ace just looks at him with all his helplessness and weariness plain on his face, and Sabo drags an ink mark all across Sandy Island on the map as he whirls around and says, “You found him?”
“It’s not going to be how we thought,” Ace says, trying to manage his brother’s expectations. They share everything, but Ace would keep this heartbreak to himself if he knew how. “It’s—I think we took too long.”
“What do you mean?” Sabo asks, hands clenching into fists and unclenching. The fountain pen is dripping ink, ruining the fine leather of his left glove.
“He didn’t know me. I knew he wouldn’t, not really, but he—he didn’t recognize me at all,” Ace tries to explain. He feels stupid and childish and ungrateful, but really he just has no idea what to do. Luffy doesn’t know him and doesn’t need him and how is he supposed to fill a place in that kid’s life that doesn’t exist anymore? “We’ll have to—to start over from scratch, but how? How are we supposed to make someone like Luffy care about people like us? He’s sunshine personified, and deserves to have everything he wants and the best this shitty world has to offer, and we’re just—two selfish idiots who couldn’t even take care of one little kid between the two of us.” The awful truth, delivered quietly: “Luffy doesn’t need us anymore. I can’t see why he’d want us around now.”
Sabo is watching him like something carved from marble. Ace would never tell him, because it would hurt his feelings in a way nothing else ever could, but there are times when Sabo looks every bit the nobleman his biological family wanted him to be. The line of his jaw and the fall of his hair and his deep set eyes are regal, especially when he’s focused, when he’s working through a problem, when he’s the last sane voice in a room and he’s waiting for the morons wasting his time to run out of breath.
And then his eyes flicker past Ace’s shoulder, and his expression transforms. The breath leaves him in a rush like it was punched out of him, his lips parting, blue eyes widening in a way that seems to shave whole years from his face.
Something causes him, impossibly, incongruously, to smile.
“Would you put money on that?” he asks.
“What? Yes,” Ace says, thrown off by the inappropriate lightness of his tone. He feels himself start to bristle defensively. “Are you even paying attention?”
“One of us has to,” Sabo says, only smiling wider, and Ace feels sparks falling off his fingers in sheer aggravation as he turns around to see what is so—
He has three seconds at most to take in the sight of Luffy hurtling up the hill at top speed. It’s been years and years, but three seconds is all he needs. His arms remember how to reach out and catch him.
“I waited where you left me, but you never came back!” Luffy shouts. “You can’t be mad! I waited and waited, and then I went out to find you instead! I didn’t remember you but I had to find you! I still don’t—I still don’t know some things—but I know it’s your fault for taking too long!”
Sabo lurches over and Luffy’s rubbery hug wraps around them both and Ace is too shell-shocked by the last minute to do anything but hug back.
Luffy shoves his face in Ace’s shoulder, and there’s a hot, wet smear of tears there. It gives away that Straw Hat Luffy, the pirate captain worth thirty million berries, is maybe not as grown-up as Ace had initially feared.
Sabo presses his face against the crown of Luffy’s head, too overcome to do anything but hold him. The regal young man from moments ago is long gone. The one standing here with them is that street-rat from Dawn who knew the best places to steal food from, who always made sure they never went hungry, who once shrugged off his fine winter coat at the market and traded it to a vendor for a pair of sturdy boots for Ace and thick woolen mittens for Luffy. He had shivered all the way home, where there was an extra coat in the treehouse he could use, until Luffy had the bright idea that they should all bundle into Ace’s oversized cloak together for warmth and whined until Ace agreed just to shut him up. That had been the most annoying hike up Mount Colubo in history. It’s a memory that Ace cherishes beyond reason.
Ace whispers, “Of course I’m not mad, Lu.” It’s been ages since he was that hostile, hateful little thing who would take a bite out of anything that dared to show its soft underbelly to him. He presses as close as he can, cheek to cheek with this piece of his family that’s gone missing for far too long, and adds, “You’ve never been obedient a day in your life. If I expected anything different, that’s on me.”
Luffy laughs, and it’s snotty and choked and pure music to Ace’s ears. The kid worms closer, makes himself smaller, and lets himself be held.
He doesn’t need his brothers. His shoulders are broad, and his arms are solid and strong. He’s already made a name for himself, and even now those two friends of his are lingering watchfully further down the road—far enough away to give the respectful illusion of privacy, near enough to make Ace and Sabo’s day a living hell if they try anything fishy. It’s probably been a long time since he’s needed someone to hold his hand or carry him home.
But if, by some insane, undeserved miracle, Luffy still wants them…
It’s enough. It’s more than enough. It’s more than Ace has had in ten years.
What one piece? he thinks, arms full and aching. I’ve got it all right here.

Acesabo AU of them being cute secret boyfriends during high school, because well, homophobia and sometimes you have a reputation at school you don’t want people to also get into your business. President student council (year 3 both ace and Sabo) Sabo, and Famous gang member Ace from the WB gang.
Although Ace is in a gang especially WB he still has a pretty good reputation at school and famous for his charms and good looks. Total hottie for sure.
Then there’s sabo, a nickname they call him but sabo finds ridiculous is “Prince sabo” for being a handsome blonde with obvious good grades and being graceful at what he does.
Both Ace and Sabo are good students, and a good duo! You’ll always catch them together when it’s break time or lunch time.
Some girls even ship them, draw cute unrealistic versions drawings of them kissing.. or what they call “yaoi” pretty popular thing nowadays in art and stuff.
One thing nobody knows of is that they both have a little brother at home they take care of.
Everytime they’ll walk home together, they make sure to stop by a convenience to buy snacks and some extra meat to cook dinner but also to cook up for their gluten brother Luffy. 🩷 who for some reason is a big meat lover!! He’s only 4 years old but he’s so energetic and has a meat shaped plushie sabo got for him on his 4th bday!
Both Ace and Sabo dote on baby luffy so much, they’ll leave school without hesitation if it meant Luffy needed one of them (or both)
Like the time like this,
The day Makino was supposed to take care of sick baby Luffy started with a sense of calm, knowing she was there to handle everything. However, it quickly turned into one of the worst days Ace and Sabo had ever experienced.
Both received urgent calls during their meetings, and the last thing Koala and Marco saw was Ace and Sabo rushing out the door. They sprinted across campus until they met each other outside, then hurried to the hospital where baby Luffy was being treated for a severe high fever that miss makino couldn’t handle with wet cold towels ontop of luffys forehead instead he needed to be taken to the hospital especially at his little age..
Ace and Sabo almost collided with the front desk when they arrived, running at full speed. Desperately, they asked which room Luffy was in. Once they got the room number, they continued to rush through the hallways.
When they finally reached the room, they paused in front of the door, panting heavily. Nervous and trying not to intrude, they slowly opened the door. The tension in the air was palpable as they prepared themselves to see their little brother in such a worrisome situation. Their little brother, their sunshine falling in a terrible high fever in the hospital is the worst things they’ll pray never happens again. That’s their baby!
As they opened the door, they were greeted by the sight of baby Luffy lying on the hospital bed, naked with patches on his chest. Despite his condition, Luffy was cheerfully playing with his Tony Tony Chopper plushie, his little hands clutching the toy tightly. Makino was seated next to the bed, her face a mixture of concern and tenderness as she played with him, trying to keep his spirits high.
When she noticed Ace and Sabo at the door, she looked up, her eyes reflecting a mixture of relief and. She sent them a warm smile, silently conveying her concern and the slight reassurance that Luffy was in good hands. Ace and Sabo felt a wave of emotions wash over them as they took in the scene, their hearts aching for their little brother but also grateful for Makino's comforting presence.
Ace took a step forward and softly said, "Hey Luffy... hey baby." Luffy looked up from his plushie, his eyes widening as he recognized his brothers. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he started to softly cry, his voice trembling as he blurted out, "Eshu..! Swabo!~" The sound of his tiny voice calling out their names tugged at their hearts, and they quickly moved closer to comfort him, their presence bringing a sense of warmth and security to the room.
Ace and Sabo couldn't hold back their own tears as they saw Luffy's distress. They leaned over the bed, wrapping their arms around him in a gentle hug, their faces close to his. They kissed his cute little face, whispering comforting things to soothe him. "It's okay, Luffy. We're here now," Ace murmured softly. "We won't leave you, little brother," Sabo added, his voice full of love and reassurance. Their tender words and warm embrace slowly calmed Luffy, his cries turning into soft sniffles as he felt the love and protection of his brothers.
When the atmosphere calmed down now that they were both there, Luffy's mood changed and he perked up, proudly saying he didn't cry when the doctor gave him shots. Ace and Sabo raised their eyebrows in an amused yet gentle way. They turned to Makino, who was listening with a warm smile, nodding and chuckling at Luffy's proud expression.
---
Ace ruffled Luffy's hair and laughed, calling him a brave boy. "That's our Luffy, always so tough," he said with a grin. Luffy beamed at the praise, feeling even more proud with his brothers by his side.
Even though school was on both Ace and Sabo's ass, they still managed to leave early to head to the convenience store to buy Luffy meat snacks before going to the hospital. When asked where they were going, they would reply with a serious face, "To my baby brother at the hospital, he needs me.”
Cute. The two infamous duo ace and Sabo seem to be protective brothers outside of school, both leaving school to check on their baby brother Luffy at the hospital. Luffy still needed to rest for a few days before being discharged, and they'd go to the hospital praising him in bed and pampering him with meat and little things like a sun sticker on his forehead for being a brave boy for taking his shots so bravely without crying. Ace and Sabo made sure Luffy felt loved and proud, turning his hospital stay into a fun and memorable experience.
—-
When Luffy was finally discharged, Ace and Sabo got a lot more overprotective of his well-being, making sure he was okay and not sick. Soon, they decided to take Luffy to their school because Makino was busy and couldn’t take care of him while they were at school. When they came to school with Luffy in Sabo's arms sleeping, he was quickly praised for being such a good older brother, showing a gentle and soft side of them both. Koala turned her attention to Luffy, who was sitting on Ace's lap while eating lunch with him, and asked, "Hey Loof, what do you think Ace and Sabo are to you?"
Sabo who was sipping on his strawberry milk perked up at that and rested a hand on his cheek while saying “we’re his brothers of course, what else?”
Then ace who was busy cleaning up luffys mouth with a napkin after he had taken a big bite of pork cutlet, nodded and hummed.
Luffy thought about it for a few seconds , his wide round eyes sparkling with innocence. "They’re my big brothers... but they’re like my parents too! Shishishi!" he said with a cheerful giggle, making everyone around him smile at his adorable honesty.
Ace and Sabo couldn't believe what they heard and saw. Sabo choked on his strawberry milk, splashing Koala's face accidentally. Koala pinched his cheek upset, from her short temper, before releasing him and turning their attention to Luffy, curious about his sweet and innocent words. It was a cute and chaotic moment that made everyone burst into snicker and laugh here and there, thatch hits aces elbow while chuckling “so called “big brother” turns out to be his secret daddy all along huh?”
Ace and Sabo are blushing deep and as Luffy tries to say something else ace shoves another piece of pork into his mouth so he can shut up for now. Too stuffed with meat before embarrassing them both more.
Ahhhhh I’m lazy to continue

For the next Full Moon request, female reader asked the ASL trio to babysit her children. How would Law react to that? Would he be jealous or comically annoyed? Whenever female reader is busy, or Law is on important meetings, she'd always ask Luffy, Ace, and Sabo to watch Corazon and Clara. Everytime Law's on a business trip, the ASL trio would always stay by female Reader's side to company her. Yes, Ace is very bad influence, always give Clara and Cora tons of sweets and 🍬. If you want, you could make Law 'punish' her by having rough sex in his wereleopard form, which would not only make her pregnant, but also carry either triplets or quadruplet! Damm, Penguin's not kidding when Law's in his time of the moon cycle.😂😊
Full moon
A/n: so like-- idk how to do some parts of it, but yeh- but don't worry, I'll try the other half.

"Don't worry sweetie, uncle Shachi and will take good care of you." (Y/n) said as she comforted Clara.
Meanwhile, Cora refuses to let go of law. Hell, he'd have to take off his clothes if he wants to leave.
Then again, it's the first time the two toddlers would be away from their parents for the night. Considering they're now five.
"Hush now... We'll be back in the morning, we promise..." (Y/n) smiled as Clara pouted.
"How come papa can come and we don't!" She huffed
"You little-!!" Law groaned as he tried to pull Cora off him only for the kid to grip his shirt even tighter
"No." The boy muttered.
"Hmm... What about this..." (Y/n) smiled, "me and papa will bring you and Cora to the aquarium next week, what do you say?"
"Aquarium... And pool!" Clara says happily
"Mhmm, we'll take you there as long as you two be good little babies for uncle Shachi, yeah?"
"Okie! Cora! Quick! Papa and Mama will bring us to the aquarium next week!" Clara said as her brother immediately let's go of Law and hoped down.
It was now clear who Cora listens to other than his parents...
Giving the twins a quick kiss, Law and (y/n) left to go and have their date.
It's been a while since they had a date...
Totally not because of the twins being born.
(Y/n) had to physically restrain Law from anything when it's his time of the moon cycle...
And right now, Law is restraining himself in order to get this date the most romantic it's ever been.
"You are so unlucky" (y/n) laughed, "it's full moon. But you ARE lucky the kids aren't home. So I guess that's a win win"
"Stop teasing me..." Law groaned, "or else I'll turn this car around and just fuck you senseless. Fuck the reservation."
She just chuckled, "I know... But it is quite nice that... You know..."
"I know..." He echoed with a small smile.
They soon arrived at the restaurant with a small chat.
One that would distract him from his urges to just pounce on her at the parking lot.
It was a blur after that, really... Them eating, having a great time, Law handing her a bouquet of flowers, and they're on their way home.
But as soon as the front door was closed and locked, Law let out his tail and ears that begged to be let out the whole evening, he sighed in relief once they were out.
"It was so suffocating..." He groaned and he wrapped his arms around her waist as she removed her make up.
"Why didn't you tell me? We could've left early" she laughed as he nuzzled his face against her neck.
"I want you to have a good time..." He pouted and was on the verge of throwing a tantrum.
"Anywhere with you is a great time, Law..." She smiled as she turned around in his hold and placed her hands on his cheeks, "how's your moon cycle taking a toll on you?"
"Oh right"
Before she knew it, she was being thrown on the bed roughly as law crawled over her. "You teased me all night long" he growled as he took off his shirt
"Technically, just 4 hours worth." She laughed softly once more as he huffed and pulled all her clothes off, "law... You're that hungry?"
"What can I say? My beautiful wife is just as beautiful as no one because in my eyes, you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen" he smiled softly and kissed her deeply while squeezing her mounds of flesh.
"You've always wanted to this, Huh?" She chuckled, knowing he loved to stare whenever she'd breastfeed the children.
"I wonder if there's some milk left..."
"Are snow leopards like cats? Really?" She smiled as he lowered his head to her right mound
"I don't know what you're talking about" he huffed, the thought of being compared to a cat astounds him.
He licked her nipple just a little and squeezed it, seeing some milk leak out.
"Law... If you're really going to drink that..." She groaned before mewling at the feeling of him biting it, "... Fuck... Be my guest..."
He smiled a little before sucking the ever living shit out of her nipple, milking her until it's gone for now and switching to the other, all while (y/n) made small noises as she blushed slightly.
Law eventually had enough and sat up, licking his lips.
It was evident he was happy by how his tail was standing up.
"Law..." She smiled as he took off the rest of his clothing and leaned against her
"Yes, love?" He asked with a smile.
"You..." She chuckled softly, "you're kind of a cat."
"Oh please-"
"And I love cats..." She smiled
"Mmmhh... You better do." He huffed before placing a hand on her thigh, sliding it inside and up to her wet folds.
He sat up slightly just to pull her legs far apart and see her glistening entrance just waiting to be played with.
"Come on Law..." She whined a bit before gasping at the feeling of his thumb rub against her clit and his tattooed fingers plunge inside her.
His fingers played with her insides, rubbing, curling them, and even squelching them against that spot inside her that made her see stars.
"L-law...! Please..." She gasped as he pulled his fingers out and observed them.
She watched as he licked his fingers clean.
He eventually settled between her legs with a chuckle, "my apologies if you wouldn't be able to walk tomorrow... Like usual."
"Oh shut up" she huffed
He rolled his eyes playfully as he placed her legs on her shoulders and aligning himself to her entrance.
"Now be a good girl and just keep moaning for me, alright?"
"Mmhhhm..." She whined a little before gasping and arcing her back when Law plunged himself inside in one thrust. "Law...!"
"My bad... I forgot it's also been a long time since we had this..." He chuckled, he clearly intended that to happen
"You little-!!" She groaned but moaned loudly when law pressed her legs down to her shoulders and started to thrust deep inside.
The position let him be as fast and as hard as he can without any trouble, in which he immediately did once he realized that.
(Y/n) soon turned into a moaning mess, pleasure filled tears streaming down her face and her eyes rolling back as Law continues to bully her sorry cunt.
"That's right baby..." He smiled, "moan for me..."
He thrusted even more after that, determined to make her come at least twice before he leaves his seed deep inside her womb. The tip of his dick pressing against her cervix every thrust.
The first time she came, she was still sensitive and Law kept going. Not letting her rest, overstimulating her to the point of her second orgasm.
"L-law...! I-i cant-" she gasped and moaned loudly.
"I know, I'm close..." He groaned, "just a little bit more."
After a few more, Law came deep inside her. Against her cervix.
She can feel his warm seed planting deeper than her womb.
"L-law...! Ah..." She gasped.
"Oi... Don't sleep yet. I'm still not done... Remember... It's been 5 years since we last done this." He smirked darkly, "we're finishing it. Tonight."
"Oh dear..."
Next day...
"Mama... Why do you look so tired?" Cora shyly asked as the two watched Clara annoy the hell out of Law by climbing on his back.
(Clara is a little gremlin)
"What...? Oh... It's just uhm..." She hummed, thinking of an answer to an innocent of a toddler.
"Papa just put a baby inside mama. You'll have a sibling in a few months" Law smirked as (y/n) glared at him
"Huh? But then... How does a baby get INSIDE of mama?" Clara said as she paused for a moment
"Ah- well..." (Y/n) hummed
"Se-"
"Law."
Extra:
Ace and Sabo wanted to meet the little ones, only for them to be more behaved than Luffy who's literally chewing his now much more durable leash.
"Mama... Why is he wearing a leash...?" Clara asked
"He's... Uhm... He's uncontrollable sweetie..." (Y/n) answered.
"Mama..." Cora called, "where is he...?"
"NOT AGAIN!" Sabo and Ace yelled.

most realistic yet still insane thing in OPLA is that everyone falls head over ass for luffy (in however way you decide) within like, seconds of meeting him. koby zoro nami usopp kaya sanji (and zeff) all act like this little weirdo hung the moon! even the vice admiral has one proper conversation with him and lets him do his own damn thing based off of ???? just vibes? lovably impish charisma?? and i'm right there with them all! i too would leave my home town and live on a ship with that stretchy freak! i'd pledge my life for him! i'd feed him every day and go 'are you sure you've had enough?? i can make you anything you want 🥺'. this isn't even plot armour to me, i find it less believable that he faces a single foe at all. what do you mean there is a single soul out on the sea that can look at that kid and his big baby eyes and big baby smile and not go "actually man you take whatever you need to. i love you by the way"??? preposterous.

“Dad, do I have to stay with her?”
Law sighed. That was all he had heard from Rocy these last few days. It was all “Can’t I just go with you and Pops?” or “Why can’t I just stay here with my uncles?” or some other suggestion. He understood her hesitation, of course. He was dropping her off with someone she had only met a few times throughout her life, after all.
“Yes, Rocy. It’s only for a week.” He replied, watching the small girl as she pouted on her bed, arms crossed in indignation. She looked far too much like Luffy when she got all moody, which always made it harder to say no to her. “C’mon, kid, don’t give me that look…”
“But Dad!” Rocy groaned, throwing herself backwards with a huff. The clothes Law had neatly folded for her fell to the ground from the force at which she hit the bed. She hadn’t had a stubborn fit like this in a while… and based on some of her other behaviours, it seemed like she was worried about something
Law sat down on the bed beside her, reaching over to brush the hair out of her face. “Rocy, talk to me. What’s going on?” He muttered softly, heart hurting at the little frown on his daughter’s face. She was usually such a smiley, happy kid, taking after her Pops in her ability to seemingly always find a way to have fun.
“...Why’re you and Pops sending me off to some stranger?”
Law frowned as he gently combed his fingers through Rocy’s hair. It had been exactly as he suspected. She was scared. Scared to be left alone with someone she had never met- or, more accurately, someone she couldn’t remember meeting. “Harmonia isn’t a stranger, Rocy. She’s my mom, and your aunt.”
“That doesn’t make sense, Dad.”
“I know, baby-tang.”
*ೃ༄
Day One
“Pops! I don’t wanna go!”
Luffy snickered as Rocy draped herself over his head. Her striking golden eyes met his, unruly strands of dark hair tickling his nose. He had a firm grip on her legs as he carried her around the Polar Two, as she clambered over his shoulders.
“It’s only a week, Rosie, you’ll be fine! You’re a big girl now- it’s like your first big girl adventure!” Luffy smiled at his daughter, ducking down so he could pass through the doorway without hitting Rocy’s head. The early morning sun washed over them as they stepped out onto the deck.
The Polar Two was docked off the coast of Dressrosa, a place that no longer filled the pirates with dread. Over the years since Doflamingo had been taken down, Dressrosa had returned to its former glory and had become a far more pleasant place to visit. It had also become Harmonia’s new home once she retired.
Rocy blew a raspberry in her Pop’s face, sitting back upright on his shoulders. “I don’t wanna go on an adventure without you and Dad…” She sighed, slumping sadly against Luffy’s head. “What if my aunt is super mean and boring and doesn’t like adventures? I don’t want a week of doing nothing.”
‘I don’t think you want a week of whatever me and Dad will be doing, either.’ Luffy thought.
The whole reason they were dropping Rocy off with her aunt was because it was their anniversary, and despite having never made a massive deal out of it before, they had been convinced to go on a week-long vacation, just the two of them. In fact, it was Harmonia who had gifted them the all-expenses-paid trip, and offered to watch over Rocy for the week.
Law was already on the dock, carrying Rocy’s bag over his shoulder as he talked with his crew. They knew how to operate the Polar Two without him, but he still couldn’t leave without giving them his usual list of rules. As Luffy and Rocy joined them on the dock, the girl reached out to her uncles.
“Uncle Penguin, Uncle Bepo! Save me! Don’t make me go!” She whined, ignoring the insulted exclamation from Shachi as he wasn’t asked for help. Her uncles fought back the urge to laugh at the girl’s complaints- she whined the same way Luffy did when he had to go his separate ways with Law.
Much to Rocy’s disappointment, her uncles didn’t stop her dads from walking away from the dock, making their way into the main city of Dressrosa. The entire time, Rocy stayed on her Pop’s shoulders, whining and complaining about her dads ditching her. Law and Luffy shared a look of fond exasperation (or amusement, in Luffy’s case) as they listened to her.
“Law!”
The pair stopped their movements at the familiar voice, Law glancing around for the source of the voice. When he spotted the older woman, his expression softened, lips curving up into a smile. It had been too long since he’d seen her. He had missed her.
“Hi, Mom.”
*ೃ༄
Trafalgar R. Harmonia, once known as Donquixote Harmonia, was a kind and loving woman. Law adored her and was so grateful to be her son. His adoptive mom had been his safe place for years, his main source of comfort and safety, and the protector of his heart until he had entrusted it to Luffy.
It had been a few years since she had seen her son, son-in-law (a title that had always amused her, considering, well, you know-) and niece/grandaughter, and every time she saw them again, she was always taken aback by how big they had gotten. The last time she had seen Rocy, the girl had only been about four years old and it had only been a brief visit. Now, that little girl was eight years old and looked so much like her fathers.
“Hi, Rocy.” Harmonia knelt so she was closer in height to the kid, offering her a warm, comforting smile. Call it mother’s intuition, but she could sense the girl’s wariness and reluctance. “You probably don’t remember me, but I’m your Aunt Harmonia. I’m really happy that you’re going to be staying with me this week.”
When Rocy stayed silent, refusing to look at her aunt, Law sighed, reaching over to ruffle her hair. He gave his mom an apologetic look, but she just shook her head, dismissing the apology with her understanding. She knew how to deal with closed-off, nervous kids- she had raised him, after all.
“I know you haven’t been away from your dads or their crews before, but I promise, you’re going to be safe with me, okay?” Harmonia assured the young girl, hoping to assuage some of her fears. “And I’m sure your dads will call every night- they’re gonna miss you just as much.”
Rocy looked to her dads for confirmation of Harmonia’s words, hope shimmering in her wide eyes. Law and Luffy nodded, grinning at their daughter. Of course, they would call her! As if they’d leave their little girl for a week and not contact her. Law didn’t know if he’d even be able to survive a week without talking to his Rocy.
“See? You’re gonna be just fine, Rosie!” Luffy picked up his daughter, hugging her tightly, arms wrapped around her multiple times. She shrieked in delight at the tight hug, little legs wrapping around her Pop’s torso. “You’re gonna have so many adventures to tell us about every night!”
The two more energetic Trafalgars smiled and giggled between themselves as Harmonia stood beside Law, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. She could read him like the back of her hand and she knew he was terrified of being separated from his daughter, regardless of how much he trusted Harmonia to take care of her.
“Sprout, I know you’re worried, but you’ve got to relax. This week is for you and your husband. Rocy is gonna be okay.”
Law affectionately rolled his eyes at the nickname he just couldn’t shake off, no matter how old he got. He glanced at his mom, taking in everything that had changed about her since he’d last seen her. She had more wrinkles, especially around her eyes, and silver strands mixed in with her brown hair. She still had the same style of round glasses, her fashion sense hadn’t changed a bit, and she still wore her wedding ring, even if her husband had been dead for almost thirty years now. She was still his mom.
“Torao! C’mon, we gotta go!”
Luffy snapped him out of his thoughts, blinking himself back to reality. He gave a firm nod, even if he wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to his mother and daughter just yet. As Luffy gave Rocy his goodbyes, Law held Harmonia in a gentle embrace. “Thanks again, Mom. Love you.”
“I love you too, sweetheart. You two have fun, okay?”
As Harmonia let her son go, Law was almost toppled over by Rocy as she ran to hug him. He picked up his daughter, holding her close to him. He had planned to remind Rocy of how she should behave for her aunt, to remember her manners and be kind to Harmonia, but all he could do was just hold her tightly, squeezing her softly. “Seven days, baby-tang. We’ll see you in seven days.”
*ೃ༄
Day Two
“Good morning, Rocy.” Harmonia greeted the little girl as she stumbled into the kitchen. Harmonia almost melted at the sight of her niece dressed in one of Law’s shirts for pyjamas, with messy bed hair, as she yawned and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. “Did you sleep well?”
“I guess…” Rocy mumbled, hopping up on a stool at the kitchen island. Various plates of food were laid out in front of her, all filled with delicious breakfast foods. Rocy looked over the spread, feeling her hunger growing, but frowned when she couldn’t find what she was looking for. “...There’s no toast.”
Harmonia paused, blinking in surprise. “O-oh, gosh, sorry- a bit of a habit from all the years with your dad.” She chuckled. Apparently, the distaste for bread had not carried through the Trafalgar genes. “I don’t have any bread currently. Perhaps we can go into town today and get some from the bakery?”
“Yeah, sure.” Rocy shrugged, filling her plate with the other foods available. She ate in silence, as did Harmonia when she realised she wouldn’t be getting a word from the younger girl. Harmonia was deep in thought- from everything Law had told her, Rocy was a wild, rowdy kid, with endless energy and quite the chatterbox. That was a far cry from the girl sat before her, but hopefully, Rocy would warm up to her over the week.
She figured if she could get a kid like Law to trust her, it shouldn’t be too hard.
After breakfast, Rocy went back to her room to get changed while Harmonia washed the dishes. Following her usual routine, she removed her wedding ring, placing it in the heart-shaped dish she kept on the shelf. If there was one thing Harmonia refused to do, it was risk losing or damaging her ring. It was so precious to her; her most treasured belonging.
After drying the last dish, she picked up the ring again, lifting it to her lips to press a soft kiss to the golden gem adorning the silver band. She was unaware of the little girl standing in the doorway, watching the tender exchange as she slid the ring back on her finger, a longing sigh leaving her lips.
*ೃ༄
“What’s caught your eye, Rocy?” Harmonia asked, glancing down at her niece as they walked through the streets of Dressrosa. Rocy had suddenly stopped in her tracks, eyes locked onto something she had seen in passing.
Following her line of sight, Harmonia spotted a toy store, painted with bright colours, dolls and blocks and wooden ships in the window. But right in the corner of the window display was a massive plush bear- a polar bear specifically. The older woman chuckled. “Ah, it’s like Bepo, isn’t it?”
Rocy’s eyes shot up to her aunt with surprise. “How do you know Uncle Bepo!?” The little girl exclaimed, gaping up at her in shock. She was still young, and Law hadn’t told her the long, detailed past of him and Harmonia and the Heart Pirates. As far as she was concerned, Aunt Harmonia existed in a different world from her uncles aboard the Polar Two.
“Your dad never told you?” Harmonia asked in curiosity, as she changed their course from the bakery to the toy store. Her niece deserved to be spoiled, and that’s just what she was going to do. “I used to be a Heart Pirate.”
Her words left Rocy in shock and awe, a shine in her eyes as she stared at her aunt- her aunt, who used to be a pirate, sailing alongside her dad and uncles. How had her dad never mentioned this before? She had thought her aunt was kinda lame and overly sweet, but this changed everything for the young girl.
The bell dinged as the two of them entered the store. Rocy looked around at all the toys with wide-eyed excitement. She had never seen so many of them in one place before! But, despite all the cool toys, her eyes were just drawn back to the massive polar bear plush.
“Do you want it, Rocy?”
A few eager nods and a toothy smile later, Rocy was walking through the streets carrying a bear bigger than herself.
*ೃ༄
Day Three
Rocy’s energy picked up the next day. She was all smiles during breakfast, happily chewing her toast as she told her aunt about all the dreams she had about going on adventures with her dads and their crews.
She let out her boundless energy by playing in the river outside Harmonia’s cottage as her aunt tended to the garden. After a few hours, Rocy grew tired and the air grew colder, the girl shivering as she bundled herself up in a towel.
She walked over to her aunt, curious about what she was doing in the garden. Before she could ask, she stopped in her tracks, watching as a pale green glow came from Harmonia’s palm, and the droopy leaves in front of her sprung up, dull colours brightening.
“Woah!” Rocy exclaimed loudly, startling Harmonia. “You can do things! Like Dad and Pops!”
Harmonia smiled at the girl’s excitement, beckoning Rocy over to her side. “You wanna see?” She asked, immediately being met with frantic nods. “Alright, give me a flower. Anyone you want.”
“A sunflower! Dad says they remind him of Pops!”
Endeared by the sweet reason behind her choice, Harmonia held out her hand for Rocy to see, the pale green glow returning. From her palm, a small sprout grew, becoming taller, until it bloomed into a full sunflower. It was smaller than a typical sunflower, about the size of a daisy.
She plucked it from her hand, letting Rocy admire it before she tucked it into her niece’s hair, brushing some strands behind her ears. It was a sweet and gentle gesture, filling Rocy with a warmth she had never felt before.
“There we go! How pretty; it matches your eyes.”
Rocy had tackled Harmonia to the ground in a tight hug before she had even finished her sentence.
*ೃ༄
Day Four
“Hey, Aunt Harmonia?” Rocy asked, glancing up at her aunt as the older woman helped wash her hair in the tub. “Dad says you’re his mom, but also my aunt, but I still don’t get it… how does that even work?”
“Well…” Harmonia sighed softly. How did she approach this? She didn’t even know how much Rocy knew already. How much had Law been willing to share? “Has your dad told you about Corazon?”
“Uncle Cora? Mhm. Dad told me a little bit.”
“Well, your Uncle Cora i- was my husband.” Harmonia mentally scolded herself for the foolish slip-up. Almost thirty years since his passing, longer than they had even known each other, and she still struggled to talk about him in the past tense. “Which makes me your aunt.”
“Was?” Rocy asked innocently, golden eyes blinking up at Harmonia. “Is he not your husband anymore?”
“No, no, he still is. In my heart at least.” Harmonia’s eyes drifted over to the vanity, where another little tray sat, holding her wedding ring so it wouldn’t scratch Rocy while she was bathing. “Uncle Cora passed away, a long time ago. Long before you were born.”
Harmonia saw Rocy deflate a little, curious expression dropping into a small frown. Perhaps this was too heavy a topic for a child. She would be sure to apologise to Law when he came to pick her up in a few days…
“Oh… I’m sorry, Aunt Harmonia.” Rocy placed a little hand atop Harmonia’s, squeezing it slightly, the same way her dad would when she was sad. Smiling sadly, her aunt turned her hand over so she could hold Rocy’s properly, grateful for the young girl’s gesture of comfort. “But then why are you Dad’s mom but Uncle Cora isn’t his dad?”
“That’s because I only adopted your dad after Uncle Cora passed away.” She hummed, gently tipping a cup of water over the back of Rocy’s hair to wash out more of the shampoo. “Your dad has had years to get used to calling me mom, and seeing me as his mom, but he didn’t get that with Uncle Cora.”
“Do you think if Uncle Cora was alive, he’d be Dad’s dad?” Rocy asked, her young mind trying to comprehend her strange family tree. Every question answered just led to two more popping up in her head.
“I’m sure of it, Rocy.” She nodded, which left the girl satisfied, her smile returning. When she went home, she’d have to ask her dad more about Uncle Cora and Aunt Harmonia. Her attention was quickly returned to her aunt by her next words. “Say, did you know you’re named after Uncle Cora?”
“Huh? Really?”
“Mhm. Rocy is short for Rocinante, which was Uncle Cora’s name, too.”
Harmonia had grown fond of Rocy’s wide-eyed expression of curiosity over the last few days, finding her never-ending onslaught of questions endearing, and a sweet reminder of her early years with Law, when he bombarded her with questions about medical practices and the remedies she made with the herbs she grew.
The bath water had long since gone cold when Rocy finally decided she had asked enough questions and hopped out of the tub. Rocy sat wrapped in a towel as she waited for the Transponder Snail to ring, eager to have her nightly call with her dads. As curious as she was, however, she decided to save any questions about Uncle Cora for another day.
*ೃ༄
Day Five
In the early hours of the day, before the clock had even reached 2 am, Harmonia was awoken to soft sobs coming from down the hall. Any tiredness was immediately overwritten with concern as she made her way to Rocy’s room.
Pushing open the door, she saw the girl curled up against her large polar bear plush, sobbing into its white fur. Harmonia’s heart ached. The poor thing was probably homesick, desperate to see her family again.
“Rocy?” She called out quietly, taking a few steps towards the bed. The little girl looked up at her, eyes red and watery as she sniffled. “What’s wrong, petal?”
“Had a nightmare… I miss home… and Dad and Pops…”
Harmonia nodded in understanding, sitting down on the edge of the bed beside her. She gently stroked through Rocy’s hair, humming softly to her as her sobs settled down to sniffles. Rocy shuffled over, laying her head on her aunt’s lap, letting Harmonia wipe away her tears.
“Do you wanna go back to sleep, Rocy?” Harmonia was met with a desperate shake of Rocy’s head, giving a very clear answer. “Alright. Well, do you want me to show you something?”
That caught the girl’s interest, as she gave a small nod. Harmonia smiled, using the end of her sleeve to wipe Rocy’s nose. She could handle a bit of snot on her clothes- her niece was far more important.
“Okay. Grab a warm coat. It’s a bit chilly tonight.”
*ೃ༄
Using the thick vines clinging to the side of the cottage, Harmonia helped Rocy up onto the roof. She held her waist gently, helping keep the small girl on her feet. Once Harmonia was on the roof too, she took Rocy’s hands, gently leading her to a flatter section of the roof, coated in a thick moss. She sat down on the moss, Rocy in her lap, both of them cozy in their winter coats.
“Here, give me your hand.”
Rocy placed her hand in Harmonia’s, who folded her fingers over until she was making a pointing gesture. Harmonia directed Rocy’s finger towards a corner of the sky, pointing at a cluster of stars.
“You see those stars there?”
Rocy nodded, curling closer to Harmonia as a gust of wind cooled the air even further. It was just a clump of stars to her… She didn’t understand what her aunt was trying to show her.
“It just looks like a bunch of stars, right?” Harmonia asked, to which Rocy responded with another nod. After her nightmare earlier that night, she wasn’t in a talkative mood.
“But… if you just connect the stars up like this…” Harmonia gently moved Rocy’s hand, her pointer finger drawing imaginary lines between the stars. Rocy followed the movement of her finger, drawing out the lines in her head, gasping softly when she saw what Harmonia was making.
“It… it makes a heart!”
Harmonia smiled softly at the girl, pleased to see her relaxing after her nightmare. She brushed through Rocy’s hair, using her powers to speckle some tiny sunflowers in her messy locks. “Exactly. Whenever I’m sad and missing your dad, or Uncle Cora, I come up here and look for the heart in the sky. It’s like a permanent reminder of them, one that’ll never go away.”
“Can we find one for Pops, too? Can we make a straw hat in the sky?” Rocy asked, beaming up at her aunt. “Please, Aunty Nia?”
“Of course, Ro.”
*ೃ༄
Day Six
“Aunty Nia!” Rocy came running into Harmonia’s study, a large folder in her hands. Her aunt bookmarked her page, looking up with a smile as Rocy ran up to her desk, dropping the folder in front of her.
Harmonia moved her jars of herbs and vials of medicine aside, her smile brightening as she realised what Rocy had brought in. “Where’d you find this, Ro?” She asked, as if the folder wasn’t always in an easily-accessible place.
“It was on the bookshelf, next to all the Sora comics!”
There was a row of her bookshelf dedicated to her family. When she had moved to the cottage and retired from piracy, Law had asked her to take his collection of Sora comics- or, at least, the ones he was less likely to re-read over and over- so they’d be kept safe. And besides all the comics, and the dark red hood with hearts on the end, was a folder, filled with photos she had taken over the years.
“Would you like to look through it with me, petal?”
“Heck yeah!”
Rocy practically tugged Harmonia to the living room, plopping down on her lap as soon as she had sat down. She opened the photo album, looking over the first pages of pictures, all of which were childhood photos of Harmonia herself. Rocy flipped to the next page, head tilting to the side in confusion. “Who’s that?”
She was pointing at a photo, clearly torn from some other piece of paper. It depicted a blonde boy, about fourteen years old. He was dressed in a Marine uniform, a stoic expression on his face. The photo had red hearts scribbled all over it, making Rocy snicker.
“That, Ro, is your Uncle Cora,” Harmonia explained, gently brushing her fingertips over the old photo, the edges having yellowed over time. God, she could remember it all like it was yesterday, back when she was fourteen, realising she had a crush on the cute Marine boy her uncle introduced her to.
“Aunty Nia, is this you and Uncle Cora getting married?” Rocy pointed to a photo of Harmonia and Corazon, smiling at each other with pure love in their eyes, under an archway of flowers and ivy, weaved together. There was a series of photos following that one, capturing the exact moments of Corazon tripping backwards, taking Harmonia down with him. The series ended with a photo of the two of them, laughing on the ground together.
“Mhm. That was thirty-four years ago…”
They continued flipping through the pages of the photo album, Rocy now and again stopping to ask questions about the backstory of the pictures. Her favourite was the one of her dad and uncles, much younger, standing proudly in front of a shining yellow submarine- the Polar Tang.
There were a few that must have been taken during Harmonia’s time as a Heart Pirate, of the whole crew partying or cuddling up with Bepo, or having fun on a day off. More pages down, photos with the Strawhat crew started appearing, with a lot of candid photos of Law and Luffy. Harmonia practically had their love story photographed.
Reaching the last few pages, Harmonia sighed lovingly as she saw the photo she had of Law and Luffy and a tiny, newborn Rocy. She treasured that photo. It captured the gentleness of the two men that few ever saw. Of Law, her son’s, soft and loving smile as he gazed down at their perfect little creation.
Rocy had liked that photo, but she found the one of her one-year-old self sleeping on her Uncle Bepo like he was a bed, blanket pulled over her and everything, with Uncle Penguin and Uncle Shachi sleeping against the mink too, even better. Seeing her love of the photo, Harmonia slid it out of its protective sleeve, offering to frame it for the girl.
Rocy had nodded, before asking if she could take some photos to add to her aunt’s album.
*ೃ༄
Day Seven
Her bags were packed, her room tidied up, and now she just had to wait for her dads to come pick her up. She was so excited to see them again, but she would miss her Aunt Harmonia. Despite her hesitance at first, she had grown to love her aunt so much. Now she understood why her dad had spoken so highly of the woman; she was wonderful.
The sun was setting outside as her seventh day with Harmonia came to an end. She was waiting on the couch, giant polar bear plush beside her, watching out the window for any sign of her dads.
Harmonia was cleaning up after their early dinner while baking some treats for Rocy to take back to the crew. She had connected herself to some of the flowers outside, so she could sense when her boys showed up.
Half an hour later, she felt two presences appear outside, a smile forming on her face. She looked over at the girl who was intently staring out the window, knowing how eager she was to see her favourite people in the world.
“They’re here, petal.”
Rocy was out the door in an instant, sprinting down the dirt path to meet her dads halfway. They spotted her at the same time, faces brightening into smiles. Luffy went to bound over to his daughter, but Law had already replaced the rocks in front of Rocy with himself, wrapping his little girl in the tightest hug ever. Luffy wasn’t far behind, stretching his arms out to wrap around both of them.
“Hi, baby-tang.” Law greeted her with a happy sigh, as if a lifetime of worry and stress had faded away just from the feeling of holding his precious girl in his arms again.
Harmonia watched through the open door, heart warming at the beautiful scene. Law deserved this. He deserved this life full of love and family, and she was so grateful to be a part of it. Law glanced up, catching her eye, giving his mom a soft smile. She waved at him, before sliding her ring back on and heading outside to greet her family.
Rocy was already asking her Pops about what they had done on vacation, leaving Law and Harmonia to speak between themselves. She greeted Law with another warm embrace, able to physically feel the lack of tension in his shoulders. “So, did you two have fun?”
“Yeah, it was nice to just get away for a bit. How was Rocy?”
“Oh, Ro’s an angel, Law. Took a bit to warm up to me, but once she got comfortable, she was such a delight. Just as loud and wild as you said, but I swear, her energy is infectious. We had a lot of fun.” Harmonia assured Law, before reminding herself to inform her son of the tougher conversations that had come up. “We talked about Corazon. A few times. I hope that’s okay.”
“Of course it is, Mom. I figured it would come up, anyway.” Law muttered softly, knowing how delicate this topic could be. “Corazon was- is family. He’s Rocy’s family, too.”
Harmonia hugged Law even tighter this time.
*ೃ༄
“I cannot believe she let you get this.” Law deadpanned, as he carried Rocy’s giant polar bear back to the Polar Two. Deep down, he knew that he probably would’ve bought the damn bear too. He just couldn’t refuse when something reminded him of Bepo. “I should’ve known she would spoil you.”
Luffy laughed loudly at the grumbles of his husband, carrying Rocy on his shoulders again. Their daughter giggled, resting her head atop Luffy’s as her exhaustion caught up to her. Both men knew she’d be out like a light before they even made it on board.
“So, Rosie, did you have fun?”
“Mhm. Aunty Nia is the best.” Rocy sleepily nodded, yawning in the middle of her sentence. “Can I stay with her again soon? I really love her.” She mumbled, eyes drooping shut as she nuzzled into her Pops’ hair.
“Yeah! Maybe we can all stay with her next time?” Luffy suggested, glancing over at Law. He knew how badly Law missed his mom while out at sea, so maybe adding a more frequent trip to visit her would be a good idea. “What do you think, Torao?”
Law glanced between his husband and their little girl, expression softening at the sight of Rocy’s sleeping face, buried in Luffy’s unruly hair. To think, he once tried to push everyone away, so afraid of losing anyone else. He was forever grateful to his mom for showing him he wasn’t cursed, that he could let people into his heart, that he could love and be loved in return. He had rebuilt his family from nothing, and she had been the start of it all.
“I think more family vacations seem like a great idea.”

The Daughter's Return Part 3
Chapter 5: In Paradise
Start From Beginning | Next Chapter | Table of Contents | Read on AO3
Characters: female reader x Portgas D. Ace Word Count: 2.2k
“Are you sure Teach would come back all the way to Drum Island?” you asked, sitting on the boat as Ace docked it. “That seems really stupid.”
“He’d be stronger than everyone here, though. It’d be easy to get people on his side.” Ace tied the boat to the dock and jumped out. “But this is just a personal pit stop.”
“Right.” You grinned up at him. “So you can leave a message for Luffy to find you in Alabasta.”
“I know I’d say we would let fate decide, but I want to meddle a little bit.” He bent down and placed a sloppy kiss on your lips. “Be right back.”
Drum Island was cold, and you missed your passive ability to not be affected by the weather. Ace was walking around this snow-covered island in only his shorts, unbothered by the snow falling from the sky.
But you were shivering, even in your winter coat and long johns.
You didn’t like to do it, but you slipped off your bracelet. Warm energy flowed through your veins, heating you up as magma reactivated in your body. You never thought you would miss this feeling; the sensation you once loathed now something you longed for. But in this moment, you only felt relief from the cold and bitter air that threatened your sanity.
Things seemed much calmer here compared to where you had come from in the New World. You had forgotten how pleasant Paradise really was. Since you had begun your travels, there had only been one major hiccup that had required you to return to Fishman Island.
You had to backtrack and stop in Sabaody to reapply your bubble coating, where your father’s trusted coating mechanic had been sick and referred you to another older man. But you and Ace had both hit it off great with the new mechanic, and you both promised him to stop by on your way back home to see him again.
Other than that, it had truly been smooth sailing. People rarely bothered you, and Ace was skillful enough to maneuver around the ships before they even noticed you. It was almost boring. Even without your devil fruit ability, you were fairly certain you would be able to take most of the captains and crews who were here. Especially with how great you were feeling overall now.
Ali had been right. In the week since you began your travels, your nausea and sickness had calmed down significantly. You rarely got sick anymore, and you could keep most of the things you ate in your stomach. When you could manage to eat, at least. It was still hard to look at food and be reminded of Thatch’s death.
At night, you and Ace found places to rest on the shoreline, though sometimes Ace chose to rest in hotels. You were insistent that you could rest on the boat, but Ace wanted you comfortable. He worried about your body more than you did, fretting over every little thing. He was always the one to remember to have you take your vitamins in the morning, and he consistently made you drink water to stay hydrated. He was very thorough, and sometimes it made you concerned that you weren’t taking this seriously enough.
You hadn’t expected this side of Ace to show itself, honestly. You had prepared for the worst. Where he would want nothing more to do with you and run away in fear of being a parent. But he didn’t seem nervous at all. He had already talked about ideas on creating a baby corner in your room, and you had seen him browsing the baby section of the bookstores when you all went in to look at newspapers.
“All set,” Ace said, untying the rope and jumping into the boat. He looked down and saw your bracelet off and frowned. “Is it that cold here? Let’s get out of here and move on to Alabasta. ”
“I know you want to see Luffy,” you said. “But I want to let you know this Alabasta report is really weak. I don’t think it’s real.”
“I know,” Ace agreed. “A bounty hunter catching Teach is pretty unlikely, but we have to check it out just in case, don’t you think?”
You gave him a knowing smile. “You can just say you want to see your brother.”
“I’ll never admit that!” He scoffed. “Need some heat?”
The engine roared to life, and the two of you took off. You slipped your bracelet back on, and instantly a wave of heat washed over you.
Ever since you were five, you had forgotten what it was like to be too hot or too cold. You had considered it a curse at times, jealous that others could feel what you couldn’t.
After this pregnancy, you vowed to never be jealous again. You’d never regret the inability to swim, or the struggle for emotional control, or the accidental burns. It was all worth it to never have to be cold again.
You arrived in Alabasta by nightfall, and Ace booked you all a hotel room in Nanohana. You reminded him that you were perfectly fine to sleep in the desert, but he refused to allow that to happen.
“We really don’t need to be spending berries on this,” you complained, setting your small bag down on the floor of one of the fanciest rooms you’ve ever stepped foot in. “And this hotel is way too extravagant, Ace. We’re wasting money.”
“Mhhhmmm,” Ace hummed, picking up your hand and leading you to the bed. “Just lay down for a little bit, okay?”
“I don’t need to be pampered.” But you laid down on the bed and immediately sunk into the soft, feathery mattress. You couldn’t stop the involuntary moan that escaped your lips as you embraced the cool silk sheets.
“‘Don’t need to be pampered,’” Ace mocked. “A princess deserves to be pampered, don’t you think?” He began massaging your sore muscles, cramped from sitting on that small boat all day.
“Don’t call me that,” you groaned out, your body relaxing further at his touch. He carefully applied heat as he worked through the knots in your back, releasing all the tension from your day.
Ace hummed in delight, thrilled to see the way your body reacted to his warm touch now that you could feel his heat.
Laying in this comfortable bed in a far off land where nobody knew you, you almost felt normal. You were no longer associated with a pirate name. You were just a girl, and Ace was just a guy. The two of you were just a pair of lovers on vacation, picking a hotel with the fanciest name and the nicest room with the finest view. A vacation for just the two of you to get away and reconnect. It truly was Paradise.
You almost felt guilty wishing for such a normal life. But you could imagine it. You desired it, even.
“Come lay with me,” you said. “I’m tired.”
“Of course, Your Majesty,” Ace jested, hopping into bed with you.
“Thatch used to call me that,” you said softly, everything rushing back to you. Your vision began to get blurry, and you squeezed your eyes shut in an attempt to stop the tears.
“I’m sorry.” Ace pulled you into his chest, trying his best to comfort you.
“Don’t be.” You bit your lip, forcing the tears to stop. “It sounds nice coming from you too.”
You weren’t just a normal girl. You were a Newgate. A member of the Whitebeard Pirates, sent on a mission to find your uncle’s killer.
But still, a piece of you held onto that possibility of being normal. You traced little drawings across Ace’s chest as he snored, and after a while you finally drifted off to sleep.
Suddenly, you were standing on a hilltop, overlooking the sea. There was a small stone home behind you. Ace stood beside you, holding a toddler who looked just like him, freckles and all.
“I’ve been here before,” you said, looking around. It felt familiar for some reason, though you couldn’t place why.
“Of course you have.” Ace smiled at you. “This is your home.”
The word sounded nice on his lips, and you found yourself relaxing. “It’s a great spot.”
Ace laughed. “I would hope so! You picked it out! We sailed for weeks trying to find the right place!”
The toddler pouted and kicked, and Ace set the boy down. He ran off, chasing a butterfly through the fields.
“We could stay here forever, you know.”
You looked at Ace, shocked by his statement. “What about being pirates?”
He frowned at you, his face full of confusion. “Are you not happy here?”
“I am!” Though you weren’t sure if that was accurate. You had only been here a few moments. But the idea was so enticing. “Let’s stay.”
Ace smiled again. “Good.”
The toddler waddled back up to the house, and climbed inside. Suddenly, you heard a piercing child’s shriek from inside, and you rushed through the doors.
As soon as you stepped into the house, the landscape changed. You were no longer in a small cottage by the sea, but instead a prison cell. Vice Admiral Akainu was holding the boy, a hand placed firmly on his head.
“Please don’t,” you begged. “Just tell me what you want.”
Akainu chuckled, pulling the cigarette from his mouth. “So, this is your kid, huh?”
You choked back a sob. “Please-”
“Mama?” the kid called out, staring at you with dark, trusting eyes, and your heart melted.
“It’s okay, baby,” you assured him. “I’m here. It’s okay.”
“Sorry kid,” Akainu said. “Your mom ain’t gonna save you. Just like how she didn’t save Thatch, and she didn’t save any of those other little kids either. People die around her. And you’ll die too.”
The world exploded into orange, and you couldn’t help but scream in despair.
“Hey, it’s okay!” Ace shouted, sitting you up in the bed. “We’re in Alabasta, you’re safe.”
“No, I-” You looked around, trying to gather your bearings. It was just a dream. A very real dream, but a dream nonetheless.
“You were screaming.” Ace rubbed your back, and you could feel sweat running down your body.
“It was so real,” you whispered, looking around again. You half expected to see a toddler asleep on the floor. But there was nobody else in the room. You were alone with Ace. Just like you should’ve been. For some reason, you couldn’t help but feel disappointed in the lack of a third person.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Ace asked. “Those nightmares seem to be getting worse.”
He was right, it was a frequent dream you had been having. You always started with a house on the hill, but when you walked into it, it was a prison cell. And it always ended in death.
“The usual,” you lied. “The Navy found us and was threatening or torturing us.”
You always left out the children part. They weren’t always there, and it felt weird to bring up when you talked about it. Especially now.
Ace didn’t seem convinced. He rarely was when it came to you lying about your nightmares, but he always let it go.
“Can we go back to sleep?” you asked, curling back into his chest.
He hummed in agreement, and his breathing returned to its deep, steady rate within a few minutes.
You didn’t fall asleep so easily, still haunted by your dream. With yours and Ace’s notoriety, bringing a child into this world would mean certain death. If the Navy ever got wind of your pregnancy, they would hunt you down and make an example of your entire family. Just the thought of it brought bile to your mouth.
You couldn’t sleep. Your mind was too busy. Thinking of Ace. Thinking of Luffy, Teach, Marco, Whitey, and anyone else you remotely knew came to your mind. It was as if your brain was running a thousand miles a minute, running through everyone and every possible scenario of where they were at.
You watched the color brighten the sky through the curtains, the sun already beginning to warm the dry Alabastan Desert. By the time you could fully see the sun, you had calmed down enough to close your eyes. You didn’t want to wake Ace though, so you laid still until he began to move, and then you pretended to wake up alongside him.
He gave you a sleepy smile. “Did you sleep okay?” he asked.
You smiled. “Yeah. How about you?”
“Amazingly.” He gave you a peck on the cheek and rolled out of bed. “Gonna take a shower. Wanna join?”
“Sure,” you said, jumping out of bed and following him into the stone covered bathroom. You wanted to wash away all of your fears and doubts; hoping that today would be better than last night.
It was certainly off to a promising start.
