Just got out of watching Conclave and WOW that was a very good film, I was excited to finally learn what it was about after trying to scry it through memes for so long!

I will say that being deaf, in a cinema without subs, was definitely the hard mode way to watch it… I missed the name of the treatment mentioned in the final conversation in the darkened room and had to spend the rest of the scene playing catchup! Eventually I heard the word womb and was like: thank fuck I’ve cracked it!

but oh god, i totally understand you with the lack of subs, i'm sorry you had that experience. as someone from a non-english speaking country, we at least have the advantage of all our non-spanish movies having subtitles in cinemas, and even when i watch at home i always make sure i got subs (i watched an argentinian film yesterday, and yes, i needed subs for that as well lmao). people just whisper too much sometimes 😭.
