Isoris Day 5: Serpent Bay and Moss Hollow
Zone G3:
We return to the Bronze Coast, traveling abruptly south from Adríd to Serpent Bay. Bordered on the west by the high desert, to the south by the foothills of the Crescent Mountains, and to the east by the range known as the Eternal Peaks, Serpent Bay is a relatively sheltered body of water and a popular trade route along the coast.
To leave its waters ships must pass over the tidally-present land bridge connecting the Eternal Peaks to the mainland and into Mortesar Channel to the south.
Being a calm and safe corner of the open ocean, Serpent Bay is known as a favored resting place of numerous large aquatic species -- whales, selkies, mermaids, migratory fish, and sea leviathans, for which the location is named.
The larger creatures rarely bother ships except in the height of their mating seasons, though those can be wildly unpredictable and based on unknowable factors for many species. Best just to avoid the patches of disturbed water.
Across the sharp granite peaks of the Crescent Mountains lies the town of Moss Hollow. Nestled at the foot of the mountain, the sturdy town is surrounded by the region's characteristic old-growth temperate rainforest. Waterfalls so tall that they scatter to mist surround the town, leaving residents mercy to the breezes that may blow drenching showers of glacier water on their heads at any given moment.
Moss Hollow is mainly populated by orc-blooded folk. The residents subsist on animal herding mainly, with a rich variety of fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients collected from the lush surrounding forest. Rivers flowing into Reythir's Woods to the west are full of seasonal fish, and small game can be trapped easily for some variety in diet.
Moss Hollow is a semi-frequent waystop for bluff sailors traveling through the woods to Eastport, so cities further along the road like Shallowkeep and Raven's Roost may see the woven pine needle baskets and intricate dyed bark clothing made in the Hollow.
The forest in the foothills of the Crescent Mountains is a slumbering god, occasionally shifting and rumbling and sending landslides skittering down the slopes and flocks of birds high into the sky. It's a benevolent god though, and respectful travelers usually find their way safely through the trees.

Not my normal vibe but Mermaid OC challege by @monkiart with my oc Ayu and @yingjiaoyue ' s oc Syaoron. Call them "ToxicRose". Ayu is siren in this and Syaoron still a seafood chef.
Yeah I suck at drawing scales and bg 😔
Anyway their story for this AU
ToxicRose [Siren AU]
In this AU Ayu is a siren from Mermaid Island [Yes that place exist at my country lol] . Mermaid and siren is both rival with same bad trait. Set in dark fantasy setting they both not safe in a hand of humans. Not only them but other magical sea creatures will be hunt by human to serve as meal.
Ayu was caught by human and brought to Syaoron's restaurant. At first Ayu tried to used her siren power to control Syaoron but that didn't work. She was place big aquariam before her time to be cook. But to her suprise that time didn't come. She heard she was supposed to be main dish for very big night. But that night something bad happend. Ayu doesn't really know what happend.
She can hear the chaos but never really understand what happend since she was locked anyway. The aquariam wasn't a normal one. It's was thick and coated with strong magic. Though it doesn't harm Ayu, it still trap her.
Ayu just swim around in aquariam waiting for her time. She heard that the night she was supposed to be cook was sabotage by someone. That person tried to ruin Syaoron's restaurant status by making it look bad. Somehow they manage to free a lot rats and cockroachs in one time and cause the flood in building. But somehow Syaoron got everything under control. The 'big' persons Syaoron have to serve wasn't please with what happend.
Somehow Ayu feel bad and impressed with Syaoron for that. With all the things that happend it's kinda leave bad taste in people mouth. Business have been slow Ayu would say. She heared the news by Syaoron workers when they talk to each other that the person cause the chaos other night was a weird looking man and a black monkey.......? Police still investigating about that.
--------------------------------------------------
"Tertekan nampak" Ayu said to Syaoron as he give Ayu her meal of the day. Ayu got feed 3 times a day which wasn't bad. "Huh" Syaoron look distracted. "I said you look kinda stress" Ayu just chewing her fish. Syaoron looked Ayu with blank stare. This kinda their routine everyday for now. Syaoron came and give Ayu her food and Ayu tried to talk with Syaoron. Could say she was bored. She have nothing to do anyway. All she did was swim around a watch every worker and Syaoron through the aquariam glass.
"It's none of your business" Syaoron said could not bother with Ayu. "I can help you" Ayu said quickly. Syaoron just looked Ayu with questioning look. " I know...that business kinda slow lately...." It's worst actually maybe Syaoron restaurant have to be close because of the bad repotation they're having and all the worker start to wanting to quit . "You know I'm a siren right?...I can help you by using my power". Ayu bit hesitate to ask but she did it anyway. Syaoron wasn't stupid. Of course he know about how siren power work.
Syaoron looked away for a minute before looking back at Ayu. "What are you offering?". Syaoron asked fast with serious face. This time like this he is desperate. Ayu was cought off by that. She really wasn't expecting Syaoron consider he offer. "I'll help you got your customers back and in return you make people stop hunting creature at Mermaid Island. Just Mermaid Island, I don't care if want to hunt at other place." "And how are you gonna do that when you in here?" Syaoron asked. "I have a human disguise. Well... supposed to have . I just never try. But do we have a deal?" Ayu asked with awkward smile while give her hand to Syaoron. "Deal" Syaoron shake Ayu hand. Damn he really is desparate.
Finally Ayu is free..... with cost.

Sorry this story kind boring. Can't think of any other idea for this au so this will do .

I'm now very curious about your fascist jedi hottake.
Oh my GOD, I am so excited to tell the entire (shortish) sordid tale! But it's a fascist apologism hottake, since I don't want to disappoint you. The original thing was a member of a group I previously didn't know existed (Jedi Are Always Right fanboys) did a little post, and I put some tags on it, which they called me out to explain more. I don't necessarily agree with my wording now, I was a bit all over the place, but I still hold essentially the same stance. Sith and Jedi are stupid. Anyways, it ended with them being very "uh. yeah, whatever casual" and a third person (wooloo) taking great insult at my comparing the Jedi and Sith, calling me a fascist apologist, and then immediately blocking me.
Even doing my best with.. an attempt to make up for the lore I missed by getting (kidnapped) into the fandom late, there was no peace possible because my opinion is the Jedi are idiots (and I am arguing with people who will cut their own throats before admitting that). Like.. really big hypocritical idiots who've stagnated to a point their cultural beliefs are causing actual harm to the outsiders they meet AND themselves.
They've gotten so mired in *expecting* to be the final arbiters on what is good, what is evil, and what is redeemable... but actually they haven't. Because they've *always* seen themselves as the ones who are best able to make that choice. In The Old Republic, though, they at least admit they aren't the only ones capable of doing so (though still believing theirs is best). And that's stupid. Jedi, as an organization, are stupid.
Just as stupid are the Sith. You know, the cultural group (named after a racial group now long dead) which was hunted near to complete genocide by the Jedi multiple times and, as a survival strategy, drastically reduced their numbers and didn't move openly? Why are we surprised they're fueled by hate? Really. Truly, honestly. Why?
Throw *all* canon besides the original trilogy out the window, and this is still the actions of two (2) people we are told to hold against an entire group. And the information presented on *why* is all from a different group that speak of them in a way which, if substituted with two real world religious groups, would be accepted as biased at best and bigoted at worst.
But writing this out, getting all my various duck girls in a row, I am forced to grudgingly admit that bastard Wooloo was right. I am a Sith apologist. And with how each expansion of Legends lore and TOR era make Sith more Jew coded (and humanized in general)... I am perfectly ok with that.
#zyp stuff#star wars#swtor#this more or may not be sensical but at least you'll have plenty to read#the jedi do help. they provide valuable assistance and perspective to the republic#but their stagnation did nothing to assist the Republic's ongoing battle with corruption and colonialism.#but the Jedi give their version of help regardless of the feelings and desires involved (not that we get to see much of an average Jedi)#I can't say I don't feel a special kinship with Anakin though. Kid is so BPD and abused. Then he gets disabled and double abused =/

Even as a kid, I thought vampirism as depicted in the SS books doesn't make sense. Every creature, human or animal, living or undead bitten by a vampire turns into one. If vampires need blood regularly and have existed for centuries the entire world population would've turned into vampires, or they would need to kill every person they feed from which wouldn't be sustainable in the long run.
In the books, vampires that live in GHOUL communities have special pipes alongside water for blood but GHOUL hasn't always existed.
I suppose that hunting animals would solve the problem, but it never made sense to me that even zombies could turn into vampires since they're already undead and don't even have any blood to drink.
yeah, admittedly vampirisms being transmitted by just a bite was never my favorite trope. It can certainly make sense in some stories/plots, like when vampirism is treated like an illness. But when Vampires are treated as a species it doesn't make much sense in my opinion. Same logic with werewolves. The only story I've seen that treats werewolf's like a species, and still gets away with the bite thing, is Wolfwalkers. and that's because it does such a great job of showing that the lycanthropy of that film, is a gift to be bestowed, or a curse to enemies. So it works.
That all being said, I can also appreciate the silliness of vampirisms being transmitted to any creature via just a bite. In the case of the Scream Street books, it creates a situation that is just absurd. But, like, in an enjoyable way? Like it's over the top, camp, chaotic, ridiculous. It's like a tart cherry pie. Usually, I don't like cherry pie because it's so tart. But sometimes I crave a cherry pie specifically for the tartness. You get what I mean?
I guess if you wanted to have your cake and eat it to, one could theorize that such easy vampirism is specifically something of the Negative lineage. Maybe their bites transform others into vampiric minions, where as with most vampires that's not an issue. Maybe that's why their last name is "Negative" because their bites come with "negative" effects. Could even be a reason Resus's ancestor helped found Scream Street. He may have felt that doing such would keep their mutation from causing more harm. (could also be why he stays in a hibernation mode rather than enjoying his undead existence.)
Or, second theory, it could be that it's due to something that Ghoul did to the vampires in their facilities, like experimentation or adding something to the blood supply. They've certainly done far worse. Heck, maybe the thing about the supply coming from the drains of the world is a lie to began with. Making a supplement certainly sounds easier than a complex blood gathering system. After all, if the vampires thought that the blood supply was from a pipe system, when they'd be fully dependent on the Scream Street facilities. And we all know how much Ghoul loves anything that gives them more power over the cryptids. Furthermore, I'd make sense if they were particularly controlling of vampires, as vampires are a more threatening creature, they have a lot of powers. We don't see the Negatives have a lot of powers, but I'm willing to bet that's because they were raised in Scream Street. They've been denied a lot of things, and likely don't know the full extent of their powers.
Idk, just some theories that came to mind while thinking about all of this. (screw Ghoul, they are awful people) :D

I agree with this 100%
The problem isn't really in the show's writing of the two characters (aside from the obvious flaws that come from two white guys writing a narrative centered on colonization - which is the whole show, not only these two characters, and really unavoidable)
However, during my time on tumblr I've seen the above criticism leveled much more towards the fandom than the actual show itself; I know some people dislike the characters' treatment in the show but I would honestly not change much of how it's handled. If anything, I think the gaang's reactions to Jet being in Ba Sing Se, particularly Sokka's, were a little too sympathetic considering their parting.
The ATLA fandom, however, has a really bad habit of seeing any character who's mildly antagonistic towards Zuko or Iroh as exclusively Bad, and Jet, despite his arc in the show providing all evidence to the contrary, has been near-constantly portrayed in fan materials as a one-dimensional villain, given flaws that - ironically - don't exist in his canon character, but DO exist in the fan favorites he's being positioned against. Nah, Iroh isn't an opportunistic womanizer, he's a wise old man! You must be thinking of Jet! Angry at the drop of a pin over tiny slights? Certainly not sweet turtleduck boy Zuko, it MUST be Jet. This isn't even getting into some of the worse traits people will say as if they're canon.
In one popular fan theory, Hama gets blamed for the death of Katara's mother, because 'if she had gone back to the South Pole, Kya wouldn't have died.' While this line of thinking makes sense...the framing of this theory puts the blame entirely on Hama, and her staying in the Fire Nation, as if it's that easy to just up and make a solo journey to the South Pole. Hama was, by that point, a lot older and less healthy than Gran-Gran when she made the journey. The theory frames her breaking out of prison *at all* as bad, since that's what sent the Fire Nation on the hunt, and killed Katara's mom - completely disregarding the fact that, y'know, the Fire Nation's cruelty is what drove Hama to that point?
In many fanworks, the trauma caused to Katara is nearly forgotten, often having Zuko (having joined the gaang early for whatever reason) be a victim of Hama, or abandoning the Katara-learns-waterbending plot to focus on the rescue of the villagers by the rest of the gaang, and drilling in what a horrific monster Hama is for targeting the Fire Nation. On the flipside, Jet is often made into a serial cheater, physical abuser, or sexual predator - nearly always to either drive Zuko into the arms of the main love interest, or the main love interest into the arms of Zuko. Occasionally to have Zuko comforted by Iroh, who of course would never take advantage of a woman who was, say, paralyzed by shirshu venom?
And yeah, Jet and Hama are minor characters and aren't gonna get as much love as the main guys, which is totally fine. But there's nothing in the canon to merit the twisting of their characters into one-dimensional caricatures whose only trait is evil, especially considering both characters are meant, on some level, to be sympathetic, and represent the highest degree of harm that the Fire Nation's war and colonialism have wrought. Using them to victimize Iroh and Zuko is, at best, in poor taste.
tl;dr: it's not the show sympathizing too little with Jet and Hama; it's the fandom villainizing them to a worrying degree, projecting uncharacteristic flaws onto Jet and framing Hama's bloodbending as an act of pure evil rather than a desperate act to escape cruelty that she took too far.
now the LAST thing i want to say. is the idea that jet or hama are portrayed as like, “as bad as” or more deserving of punishment or more irredeemably evil than iroh, who as we know is a war criminal, because they fought back against the fire nation. i am not sure that’s the case!
a lot of ppl misremember the jet episode as jet planning to wipe out a fire nation town. twas not a fire nation town! it was an earth kingdom village full of earth kingdom people that was occupied by fire nation soldiers. there ain’t nothing wrong with killing fire nation soldiers LOL but katara & the gang were protecting the earth kingdom people when they prevented jet from blowing up that dam. so jet being “evil” is not based upon him wanting to kill fire nation folks first of all
second of all, even before he gets brainwashed by the dai li it is repeatedly made explicit that jet is a kid who is Unwell. he is obsessed and losing connections with his friends and wants to be a freedom fighter but keeps getting tunnel vision. much like how azula is shown to be a tragedy at the end of the series just by the way the narrative treats her, we see jet as a lost, angry boy who has trouble controlling himself and retaining connections. jet gets depth! he is not an irredeemable villain! he’s the antagonist in one episode but then the rest of his arc is about him being a victim
hama is a little more difficult to deal with for a couple reasons. the first and foremost being that her appearance is the obligatory nickelodeon halloween episode, so it’s all about portraying something spooky. the second is because the violence and trauma she endured is like. fucking unlike ANYTHING we see in the rest of the series, barring perhaps gyatso’s skeleton surrounded by fire nation soldiers in the southern air temple. it’s barbaric! it’s horrifying! she was captured and chained up like a DOG!
sokka, toph, and aang rescuing the “innocent villagers” and putting a stop to her imprisoning fire nation randos is what they have to do because they’re the protags. they’re the good guys in a kid’s show. but the show does not place those fire nation people at the center of what makes hama villainous; instead the focus is entirely on katara, and how hama is passing on the fear and trauma of her own experience to her, and she has to stand up and master it (possibly the only remaining waterbending technique that belongs solely to the southern water tribe!) because that has always been her role. she’s the last waterbender of the southern water tribe! she has inherited this trauma! like, on the page yes aang and sokka and toph have to rescue the villagers. BUT WATCH THE EP! THE VILLAGERS ARE QUICKLY FORGOTTEN! THE LAST LINGERING SHOT IS ON KATARA CRYING WHILE THE BOYS COMFORT HER! the NARRATIVE does not villainize hama primarily for what she did to the fire nation people; it villainizes her primarily for traumatizing katara. ITS A 22 MINUTE KIDS SHOW! there was no way they could turn to the audience and say “oh and by the way fuck those fire nation ppl they don’t matter,” but what they could do was make sure that what lingers about how wrong hama was, is the damage she did to katara, not to the fire nation villagers
all that to say; YEAH, the show could’ve gone a little fucking harder on iroh! i would’ve loved at least someone in ba sing se to talk about how horrible or traumatic the siege was so we could get some perspective on that. but the show does repeatedly emphasize that iroh NEEDS zuko; that iroh is REDEEMED by zuko, not the other way around. the inclusion of him as part of the fire nation family ( “the sins of our family”) rather than a straight up good guy is deliberate. and personally! i don’t think jet or hama run contrary to that handling
#i hope this made sense and didn't just feel like I was ranting at you!#atla#hama#jet#fandom salt#iroh#long post

Rune translations and Bottom theories (I did my best!) (: It's long! I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY LONG!!!! You've been warned. (Potential TWs below the cut) yeah Hyoga doesn't have a good time here.
I should probably start calling Hyoga "Hyouga" instead since I'm pretty sure it's spelled with a 'U'... but I probably won't. Apologies.
Bottom English translation by Tackmyn Y! (I can't speak Japanese, again, apologies, though I was able to make my own version of Autophagy)
Potential TWs (I dont want to harm anyone by going on this rant): Autophagy (medical terms), nightmares, demons tormenting a guy, Hyoga being unhealthy in more ways than one, mentions of death/murder, self esteem issues, mentions of destructive behavior, manipulation, violence.
Yeah, my boy Hyoga ain't having a good time in this theory.
I feel the need to clarify that this is all speculation. So uh. Everything here is just what I've been thinking about since I hopped into this rabbit hole.
Sinfan (I'm not sure what order they go in, it's quite hard to tell):
["Death"
"I"
"Revive"
"Spirit"
"I"
"Something with shape"]
I'm not fully sure what "something with shape" means, but there's a possibility that Sinfan could be referring to Hyoga, (a doll/wax figure) or maybe that Sinfan needs something with a shape to be able to exist. Sinfan could need a vessel to stay on the mortal plain and go undetected while staying alive.
Sinfan needs a vessel. And with that thought, it launches into indecipherable theory crafting.
Hyoga summoned Sinfan when he was 12 years old. Thinking he found a vessel, he called upon Pabometh, another grey demon, to help torment Hyoga so the two could get their wish.
Hyoga, at the time, is young, dumb and susceptible to manipulation, meaning it could be easy for Sinfan to grasp the situation with an iron grip which follows Hyoga into adulthood.
"Revival" could also be referring to "Rebirth," symbolized by a butterfly. It could also mean that Sinfan/Pabo has the powers to revive people. Maybe as a last resort if they need it.
In Hiiragi Kirai's album trailer on Youtube, Hyoga shows up in a scene with 'D' and 'B' in calligraphy on each cheek. They could mean "Death" and "Birth" respectively.
Lines from Autophagy:
"I just wants a peaceful life." Likely means Hyoga wants the demons gone so he can live how he wants to. (Who wouldn't?)
"The voice inside my head? Huh... how odd." Also implies that the demons are still with him.
"My body pulses, memories from my past bringing pain." Means that in Autophagy, Hyoga remembers his past, but it hurts him.
""You can't avoid it in life, so it's best to just deal with it." You say, but you dont seem bothered." Is most likely Sinfan talking to Hyoga. It could also mean that Hyoga can't avoid the demons, so he should just deal with it.
"I can't stop now, so pretend nothing happened!" Could be Hyoga trying to ignore the demons, or maybe he did something he shouldn't have. (Always knew those were prison tattoos...)
"I want to wash my skull out! I want to say bye bye! But yet I didn't do it..." Could mean that the demons are still with him in Autophagy and likely still tormenting him.
"I won't stop, I can't look back." Might mean Hyoga is trying to move on, but with the demons still in his head, he can't, so the "Let me forget!" after the instrument solo might be him wishing that he never remembered in the first place and trying to get the demons to take them away again.
"Just stay away from me!" Could be Hyoga distancing himself from everyone he knows, or trying to get the demons to go away.
"Hello! HAHAHAHA Hello! HAHAHAHAHA!" Might be Hyoga as he slowly loses his remaining sanity due to constant tormenting and pressure from the demons.
"A A A A- 'Allo/Allow/Arrow" could all imply different things, so I'll give a short on all of them.
"'Allo!" Is just an abbreviation of "Hello."
"Arrow!" -According to a quick google search- is a common symbolism for peace and philosophical ideas, and used for protection and hunting. It could mean that Hyoga just wants peace and quiet, which is enforced by "I just want a peaceful life." in the beginning.
"Allow!" Could mean that the demons are trying even harder to bend him to their will and take him over as a vessel. They want Hyoga to allow them to posses him so they can do whatever they please.
Pabo only has 2 that I can see:
["Nightmare"
"Save (?)ime"]
It might be "time" but I couldn't make out the rune symbol there.
"Nightmare" hardens my thought that Bottom is just a massive nightmare set up by the demons to torment Hyoga, that the song is sung from the perspective of one of the demons (likely Pabo), and that Young Hyoga(tm) in the video is Pabometh playing the part of his repressed/forgotten memories.
This is all assuming the song is, infact, sung by the demons.
Lines from Bottom:
"You're keeping me alive! Today, today, you're killing me!" Could go both ways (Pabo/Sinfan and Hyoga) For Pabo it could just be another variation of the next line I'm about to talk about.
For Hyoga it could mean that he wouldn't be able to function if he didn't have the demons (Sinfan might posses him to make him fit in so nobody notices, keep him from dying from mortal wounds, and he's lived with them so long he might not know what to do without them), but with them he's slowly tearing himself apart from the inside out due to their constant tormenting. Metaphorically or literally is anyone's guess at the moment.
"Autophagy" (his songs name) is a medical term for "self eat" which normally happens when your body is starved, so it eats it's own cells to survive as long as it can. It can also correlate to certain diseases. Autophagy in these terms might also be referring to emotions. It's possible he's been stewing in any sort of negative emotions to cause such effects. (I.E: Guilt, fear, self worth issues,) which could make his resolve weaker, making it easier for Pabo and Sinfan to torment him/possess him. The longer it goes on, the closer he could be to self destructing.
"A wax figure/a doll is keeping me alive/killing me." Is more related to the demons in my eyes. "Wax figure/a doll" is likely referring to Hyoga. Hyoga could be their only tie to the mortal realm, (Sinfan being more prominent because he was summoned first, and by Hyoga himself.)
It could also mean that they need to inhabit his mind/body in order to survive and make it easier to torment Hyoga. If they both are in Hyoga's mind 24/7 while he suffers from nightmares (which cause lack of sleep, keeping his body in a perpetually weak state), no self worth, and a fragile mental state ("I wanna keep you out of my fragile mind!") while he tears himself apart, it would mean it would be harder to stay with him without something happening.
Due to that, it's likely that the very thing keeping them alive and in the mortal realm is also killing them at the same time.
It may be worth mentioning that a line in Bottom is "You think you're a god to me?" while 9lore translated Rinen's (Möbius') tattoo on his chest, which reads "Be still and know that I am god." It could a a coincidence, but I thought I'd mention it just in case (:
Throughout the entire song the demons are mocking and belittling Hyoga. (I.E: "Defying all logic, you're nothing but evil." "You're so stupid! You scumbag, scumbag, scumbag!") Most of the angry rant type of thing happens when Young Hyoga (tm) is on-screen. (It could be a tactic to make Hyoga not want to remember/manipulate his memories/tear down his resolve even more/or just plain upset him.)
"I mean, who, who, who are you?" It's been made clear that for the longest time (according to WOOMA) Hyoga didn't even remember his own name. "Who are you?" might be Pabo trying to get into Hyoga's head and make him question his own sanity.
"What the hell are you to me?" Implies that Pabo also want Hyoga to question why Pabo is here. Sinfan was summoned by Hyoga, but Pabometh was likely summoned by Sinfan to help tear down Hyoga. That means the two don't have much history, and Hyoga most likely doesn't know why Pabo is here for awhile.
It's "you to me" instead of "me to you" so Pabo could also be trying to get Hyoga to try and notice him in a positive way so that the nightmares stop. I'll expand on that some more a few (a lot) of paragraphs down.
"Inside my heart is- such a rage! Such a rage! So I'll grab you, grasp you, and crush you flat!" Is a line I find interesting. It also leads directing into another line; "The symptom of the unforgettable emotion is my burning intent to murder, which is absolutely right." Pabo would likely be talking about Hyoga, which implies that if he could, Pabo would murder Hyoga himself, but since the "wax figure" is needed to keep both him and his accomplice, Sinfan, alive, he can't.
It also implies that Pabo is extremely angry with Hyoga, for a reason I can't particularly pinpoint, except maybe for the fact that Hyoga's becoming more and more unstable and not safe for Pabo and Sinfan. The only problem is, it's Pabo and Sinfans fault he's like that. They're the ones that chose Hyoga as a vessel while simultaneously destroying him.
However, it's possible that Pabo's aim was to devoid Hyoga of anything and everything, (I.E: memories, emotions, etc. etc.) so that he was just that: a vessel. But with Hyoga being so destructive to himself, the whole plan could have gone awry and Pabo's only thought was how furious he was at Hyoga for messing up his chance to be in the mortal realm undetected for good, meaning he wishes he could destroy Hyoga and just get it over with so him and Sinfan could wait until someone else summoned them so they could take advantage of that.
""How deplorable you are! How deplorable you are!"" Is a line that has a chance of Hyoga himself having said it due to it having quotes on it. It also implies that he he could be fighting back, so his resolve might not crushed completely. However, a show of strength like that would likely just enrage Pabometh even more than he already is. It also doesn't help the positive impression he wants Pabo to have of him.
"You're involving yourself with me again like a clingy, clingy neighbor!" Sounds like Pabo, again, insulting Hyoga. If we go off of another part of this fever dream I've cooked up, (Hyoga not knowing what to do without the demons, but with them destroying himself), sounds like Pabo doesn't want to be with Hyoga anymore, going as far as hating him so much he's festering in it.
The "again" makes it sound like Hyoga's tried to communicate with them more than once, being unsuccessful each time. Hyoga could be trying to latch onto them, either to take them down with him or trying to get the nightmares to stop. Like I said, for a while Hyoga could have been trying to get positive attention and make Pabo like him.
"The low-end is going to manipulate me." Could be Pabo addressing that he knows what Hyoga was trying to do and calling him out for it.
"Brimming with momentary anger, rot away quickly, quickly, quickly!" Again, Pabo is talking about his burning hatred for Hyoga.
"I'm always losing! How, how dare you!" Implies that even with all the nightmares and torment, Hyoga has just enough willpower to keep Pabo from getting his wish, angering him even more.
And finally, a line from Autophagy:
"Oh, rise seeds of evil, bursting with malice!" Might be Hyoga finally giving into the demons and becoming their vessel if they take away his painful memories and stop hurting him.
Pentagram:
["-r Guide(A) N(?)E A(?)R"
"The ability to know wh-"
"Grant me the power to be strong in spirit-"
"Grant me the wisdom to understand-"]
With it over Pabo, it's possible that this was the one that summoned Pabo instead of Sinfan, although with it also under Hyoga, it could be Sinfan's. Who knows, it might also be boths.
In the ending scene with the pentagram, the colors of the other songs are visible, meaning that it's possible all of them are connected.
(I could go on for hours about the small loopholes that I think mean all the songs are connected in specific ways. Either way I know they're all from the same universe.)
With all their colors on it, it might mean they all have a demon of their own.
I'm still working slightly on the pentagram, I'll probably keep ya updated if I can find out what the rest of it says (:
If anyone can find the full version (preferably readable) of the pentagram, that'd be lovely (if it even exists)
(If you find more runes in "Bottom" or another Hiiragi song I'd be happy to see if I can translate it (: I'm not very good though, and I can't speak Japanese-)
English translation of Bottom used by: Tackmyn Y (I don't know where you are but you're a lifesaver)
Find any spelling errors, let me know! I'll see if I can fix 'em (:
If you read this far, what're you doing??
Have an absolutely amazing day!!! <3

babe I really do operate on the smallest amount of encouragement so here we go the secret good version of Deadpool that marvel comics are too much of a COWARD to let me write
okay so firstly. fuck the timeline. yall know I'm a secret empire hater to the core. so this story is assumes that Ellie is in the custody of Emily Preston and Wade is spending most of his time in a house across the way from the Prestons just watching over his babygirl. secret empire? I don't know her.
the plot would have to do with, believe it or not, something from Daniel Way's run. I've shat on Daniel Way's run repeatedly and I will do so again but part of the reason I hate that run so much is it brings up all these good concepts and then does nothing with them or worse, makes light of them. so a thing that Daniel Way's run did was it brought in a sort of reverse Deadpool - a wade that was made of all the pieces of wade that had been cut off of him over the years. like damn. not to be all "stories should have meaning" but that could've been such a good antagonist and it was fucking wasted bc Daniel Way can't handle a metaphor if it hit him in the fucking face.
the arc would deal with his crippling self hatred. like, his enemy is a version of himself that's made of literal pieces he discarded and is hunting him down for sport. his self loathing is that goddamn strong. so he goddamn runs. he takes Ellie in the middle of the night and they run to Canada and stay in a ruined, burned shell of a house. Ellie explores and finds something of Wade's - a photo of him in high school - this was his childhood home. "Parents," Wade says. "Can't live with 'em, can't remember killing them."
it's pretty well established that Wade's dad beat him, but honestly it's never been in there for anything more than a joke. here we find out that wade had a boyfriend - yes, a boyfriend, we're done avoiding Wade's sexuality or walking around it or making fun of it - in high school, and that he lived in constant fear of his homophobic dad finding out, and his enlistment to the army had a lot to do with escaping the small town homophobia he was surrounded with. he tells the audience and possibly also Ellie that he hates that he can't remember killing his dad, cause he's pretty sure he deserves it. Ellie's asleep; she doesn't ask any follow-up questions.
of course anti-Wade shows up before long and after a fight between them decimates even the hollow corpse of this house, wade asks him what he wants and anti-Wade responds that he wants to take him apart "brick by brick". wade visits a series of old haunts and allies, all of which slam the door in his face, and finally reaches Spidey, who agrees to help, especially when he sees Ellie's big doe eyes. "Hi uncle Spidey!" she says. Peter melts. We all melt. Ellie is the best.
Spidey basically says that this anti-wade has all of Wade's healing powers and therefore can't be destroyed, and spoilers, the solution is to accept him as a part of himself, but they're not there yet.
ok it's really late and I gotta go to bed but basically the idea is that wade hates himself so much but it never occurred to him that even the worst parts of him would never harm his daughter until she's in harm's way and anti-Wade literally stops dead in his tracks. Both versions of wade explode and heal together into one wade (inspired by the way Deadpool and madcap originally combined into one) and it's about embracing the self and healing from past trauma and AHH
like yes you can still have crass jokes and Deadpool doesn't sit and brood the entire time but also the word chimichanga won't appear once in the entire series and Wade will use he/she pronouns and I'll have him address the fucking audience if I have to for him to let everyone know that the killogy is shit
anyway so yeah that in a nutshell is the good version of Deadpool that exists in my head. y'know. an actual character, not a series of bad jokes about abuse
I said this in a comment to one of stackthedeck's TikTok stories and I've had many convos with like, my mutuals and the like about this but I'd give anything for marvel comics to let me write them the secret good version of Deadpool that exists in my head. Like I dunno if any of you are actually interested but I have plot ideas, themes, characterization that doesn't suck ass, not dismissing him as a gimmick??? Marvel comics could never but I want to so badly. He deserves it
