And the speech very much highlights how to the doctor it's never been about winning, always about harm to people and help to people, but I don't think the master is as affected by that as by the 'if you want to hold my hand now I can make it so it doesn't make you seem the fool for your past actions'.

#and thats how i think you get missy2 is that hes at a point where hes so exhausted with the role he stuck himself in w the master #he wants out but he would NEVER take the embarassment of changing his mind or his ways in public-#proving anyone else right all along? unthinkable- he instead concots some great last evil design #not sure whether its to gurantee some retirement from a position of dignity or to change his own timeline-#leaning second- but regardless its Very very much 'or die trying' (and have that peace)#and when 18 realizes she cant not just. her hearts are so squished by that. by seeing her friend treat himself like that #and if she foiled his plan before realizing this and now she needs him to step from the beink and not go down w his ship #and his tardis gets destroyed and. what is she gonna do. well obviously take him but what i mean is #when she takes him what do you expect her- to be all naggy and complicated about his morals?#ok maybe but shes gonna just let them both be messed up and trying to do better except when theyre not yknow #he can have little a murder as a treat. or. yknow. They swapped her and New Lady and like I get the WHY but like... you couldn't wait for Slowpoke's transfer to start... I mean what would it be two weeks?? A month tops?

it's amazing how at best only 1/10 people who come in to my work to apply for a job actually know how to sew despite the fact that it literally says "sewing knowledge/experience required" on the now hiring signs

and if someone says they know how to sew and read patterns we still have to "test" them anyway bc the majority of the time they're lying

(the test is just grabbing a pattern and asking them "if I wanted to make dress A in size 14 how much fabric would I need" which is written on the envelope for the pattern that we show them but the overwhelming majority can't actually read it and answer)

#talkin #like yes its retail but its really specific retail and some people come in specifically for advice #not to mention people just learning to sew who dont know how to read patterns so part of our job is to teach them how #a lot of our customers have absolutely no idea what theyre doing so its a lot more involved than just measuring and cutting material #i always feel bad busting out the skill testing question but at the same time its so easy #we dont actually hire often bc we already have a lot of staff who only want to work 2 days a week for 4 hours but refuse to retire #thankfully one of them is soon bc she hardly does anything.. she mostly just walks around the store farting #i wish that was a joke but its actually awful
