So many random thoughts after that episode!

The fact that Tommy continues to show his lack of care for what people prefer to be called by. Like we have in canon Buck saying he goes by Buck and we have in canon Eddie saying he goes by Eddie and not Diaz, especially if people want him to respond.

And yet last night we see Tommy call him Evan and called him Diaz. Though I’ll say it’s a nice touch he says Diaz left? Only for us to then immediately find out Eddie stoped talking to Tommy (not responding)

The buddie lore we got from Buck. Them going out to eat. Eddie paying the tab. Eddie changing his tire. Them going to a game (what game? Like did we just get canon proof they in fact went to the lakers game with those tickets Buck got). Eddie teaching Buck how to play quarters. God I could listen and watch hours of the random things they get up to 😂😂 also the fact Eddie just goes around doing semi illegal things 😈 while bucks just like omg isn’t he perfect 😇 😍

Them actually canonically addressing that it didn’t even take a full shift for Buck to warm up to eddie 😂

The Eddie not talking to Tommy anymore being us finally getting to see a glimpse of Eddie’s POV of things. Like I need more of that.

Maddie. Buddies strongest soldier for real lmao. And also so incredibly done with her brother 😂

Buck and his continued I’m not in love with Eddie denials despite the fact not one person ever actually said he was in love with Eddie. Something something protest to much.

The way they also fully spelled out the end of BT with the Tommy only seeing a future for them with Eddie gone. Well Eddie will be back so future cancelled.

They rang so many bells for buddie in this episode that now it is fully truly officially at a point of no return. They can not turn back from Buddie now unless they want so much backlash.

I fully agree. There is no coming back from this. If they would try to backtrack now? Well, that would be a very unpleasant experience for ABC, Tim and 911.

Luckily for us, last night's episode proved that they have no intention of backing away from the Buddie of it all. On the contrary, they are addressing it and building towards it.

I love all the things you talked about in your ask. The Eddie lore was marvellous! I love how Eddie is some kind of perfect guy in Buck's eyes. I wonder if he knows how he talks about Eddie and what it sounds like to other people. Because to outsiders it definitely seems like he is smitten with the guy. 🤷‍♀️

That small sliver of Eddie's POV you talked about was delicious. It's true, Tommy quit on Buck and Eddie didn't hesitate to cut him out of his life as well, no matter that he was Tommy's friend first. Buck's interesting reaction to that news was very telling as well.

Overall it was just a great Buddie episode and Eddie wasn't even in it. 😋

My strong reasons for believing buddie’s going canon:

#before you even start reading, mind that this is kind of a mess, and it ended up being less of me try to explain what has led me here and more building a roadmap of where I think this is going and what connections they’re using and what I would do?? Idk it’s weird, also all of this is just what I’m seeing. I don’t really care if you disagree, sorry, unless it’s about specific things that could be cooler than how I’m seeing that. I’d love to hear. I just simply, am putting my whole brain out for y’all to look at. If you don’t want to see it or think it’s bad and ugly, then look away.

That being said

They’re opening buddie to general audience. I feel like if they didn’t want buddie to be a thing, they wouldn’t openly put the question of Buck being in love with Eddie out there, if it wasn’t going to happen, even if Buck dismisses it at first, we still have a whole season to get through. At first I didn’t think this was a strong reasons, because they’ve had queer-baited ships like destiel (which is notoriously one of the most painful cases) be mentioned on the show. But I feel like on supernatural (don’t quote me on this, haven’t watched it enough to know 100%) it was almost played for shits and giggles. Nobody was genuinely like “oh are you in love with Dean? It’s not that crazy” and Castile was never like “what? No? He’s straight.” And I think, if they weren’t going there it would be played more for the sillies than Buck actual having a problem with it. He was upset at Tommy thinking of Eddie as competition. And this part is my two cents but, whether or not he realized it, it was because there was some truth to it that he didn’t want there to be. And they wouldn’t introduce this idea if they didn’t want it, if they wanted to shut it down they could flat out be like “no, that’s not where we’re going” rather than make this a whole plot line. Why mention it at all if they’re not going somewhere with it.

Some of the interviews from this episode are??? Tim says that Buck’s buddie denial isn’t the end?? If he hadn’t said this, I wouldn’t be too sure. If he hadn’t said this, I would probably say that this could just be them trying to put a stop to this nonsense. He says he’s not making promises but this isn’t the end. Which in my opinion, kinda has to point to at least Buck having feelings for Eddie. Because if this isn’t the end then they’re surely going somewhere else with this, they might say they’re making no promises because maybe Eddie doesn’t feel the same (but I have a whole other post to make about why I seriously doubt unrequited buddie would happen) or because Tim simply can’t spell it out for us until it happens.

Both Tim and Oliver also say that Buck’s never really even thought of having feelings for Eddie as a possibility, this goes with the interviews. Buck just realized he was bisexual, he’s hardly figured out he likes boys as well, and during most of that time he’s been in a relationship. So the Eddie of it all hasn’t been floating through his mind at all. He hasn’t ever thought Eddie was an option (he thought he was straight) and he still doesn’t (Eddie’s presumably straight.) He’s just taken Tommy’s words currently as an attack and mean spirited accusations (plus he thinks Tommy’s happy about Eddie being gone, which upsets him) so his emotions are working overtime, he’s frustrated. He’s attempting to shut it down, as Tim said. That doesn’t mean what he’s saying it entirely true, or upon reflection will be.

I think (I THINK) this initial reaction to Tommy’s thoughts on Eddie. is because ultimately feels a little attacked by these accusations he feels like Tommy has thrown at them. He says directly like he feels like he’s being accused of something even though he has no good reason too. Tommy, however you feel about the guy, was clearly not 100% serious with this Eddie comment. Buck is quick to jump to the conclusion that Tommy meant he was competing with Eddie romantically when really that’s only one of a few possibilities. He could’ve been competing with Eddie over a lot of things due to his closeness with Buck. His attention, his time, his priority. These things could’ve made sense in the context, rather than Tommy strictly seeing Eddie as romantic competition. It could’ve been a joke about how much Buck cares about Eddie, and if they weren’t going somewhere with this, it should’ve been. Buck jumps to the conclusion that he meant it as him being in love with Eddie. Everything Tommy’s saying could’ve been seen as him saying Eddie takes up a lot of space in Buck’s life (he’s living in his house) and it’s intimidating to try and find a place alongside that. But Buck takes it as a him being in love with Eddie thing. We’re meant to be thinking about it, if we weren’t already. Is Eddie competition? Is Buck in love with Eddie? He reacting emotionally to what Tommy said, and he’s still not thinking about Eddie like that, he’s just upset that he’s been accused of doing so and he’s trying to stomp it out. And as mentioned, Buck didn’t like that Tommy seemed happy that Eddie was gone. So he’s annoyed that Tommy saw him as competition and is now like “well yay that’s gone, now I wanna be with you again” that’s annoying to him.

Eddie’s “straight.” There have been three mentions of Eddie being straight this season. Two this episode, from Buck, and one in episode six of this season, from Eddie. No other character has their sexuality stated like this or this much. The only character I could think of that has, is Michael and Hen (canonically gay and lesbian characters.) Tommy might’ve said he’s gay?? I’m not entirely sure. Nonetheless, nobody’s saying Chimney’s straight or Bobby’s straight or Athena’s straight. They don’t need to, you don’t need to think about it. But it’s different for Eddie, it needs to be said. In the writer’s room they specifically decided to put in places this season to show that Eddie is straight. Say it, rather than show it, actually. It’s also interesting to add that two of these instances are not from Eddie himself, but from Buck in his reasoning as to why he’s not in love with Eddie and referring to him as his straight bff. The one time from Eddie, is when a man is trying to sit and speak to him. He just immediately assumes this man is hitting on him or is about to? Okay.

I think this can also tie back to Buck and not thinking about it. Eddie has not had any time to think about himself. When he’s young, he was raised Catholic and was probably told being gay was a big no so he never thought about it. Then he starts dating Kim and gets her pregnant, and they have to get married because of the church. Or at least, that’s a big reason why they go married, as we heard from Eddie. No time to think about himself. Even less time when he enlists, being in the army for at least three years. Then he come back, Shannon leaves and he���s soon a single parent who’s moving to Los Angeles from El Paso. You think he has time to think about himself? Between all the training to become an army medic and then all the training to become a firefighter, he’s barely had time for himself at all. No time for himself, at least not any where he wants to do deep reflections. Even after he would begin realizing that what he grew up believing isn’t necessarily what he currently does. Eddie believes he’s straight, it’s not necessarily true. I thought I was bisexual for a good portion of my life, when really I’m a lesbian. Not exactly the same, I still was aware of my interest in women but I also liked the idea of being a girlfriend to a boy and being able to say I had a boyfriend. I was never interested in the actual boys. Is this something that could go on with Eddie? Possibly. Maybe he wants to be that perfect boyfriend/husband with the picture perfect family. Maybe that’s why he asked Shannon back into their lives. Maybe that’s why he tried dating a teacher Chris loved. Maybe that’s why he wanted Marisol to move in while barely being with her. Every relationship he’s had with a woman is a failed one, that’s entirely his own doing. He basically pushed Shannon away, respecting her as the mother of his son but not as his wife. Not as a partner. He had panic attacks at the prospect of a future with Ana. He emotionally cheated on Marisol with a woman who looked like his dead wife, who he used for closure. But enough of why I think Eddie’s not straight, I think the insistence that he is, is proof that he’s not. Because they wouldn’t have to say it, if it wasn’t going to be brought up more and more. Not in this show.

Eddie’s storyline in El Paso will show him finding himself in one way or another. Away from El Paso. Refinding himself as a father to a changing Christopher. Eddie’s going to be having revelations. I don’t think it’s crazy to say that could include ones about his sexuality, especially facing his catholic family who told him to be the man of the house as a child. He will finally have that time to think about himself, about what he needs to be doing, specifically to improve that relationship with Christopher and he could ultimately end up reaching so far into himself that he finds he’s not as straight as he thinks.

Tommy’s reaction to Buck saying Eddie’s straight is to scoff and say “okay.” And while Tim said you could interpret it as him being life ‘okay, sure, that’s not my point’ you could also take it as a ‘yeah, right’ moment. Which is kind of how the actor plays it as? And while it could just be an acting choice, if they wanted something else, our lovely director, Aisha Hinds would’ve directed him to do something else. If they wanted it to give off more ‘not my point’ vibes, they would’ve done it again. They let him make it seem that’s a stupid idea. That Eddie being straight is a stupid idea, when they could’ve leaned towards the other way.

Bucks reaction to Eddie leaving. It’s totally normal to miss someone when they’re gone from your day to day life. I have a friend who’s at a school where there’s literally no screen and I have no way to contact her except for through letters. I know what it’s like to miss someone. Granted, not everyone has the same ways of showing how they miss someone. But I still think Buck’s reaction leaves room for a little speculation that his feelings are not entirely platonic. He cannot shut up about Eddie. And the only time he can is when someone’s distracting him. Eddie’s like literally one of the only things on his mind. But he’s not willing to pick up his phone and actually talk to him. I sort of want to say it’s reflective of Abby? He almost tried to stay in contact too much but now it’s Eddie and maybe subconsciously he knows it’s not entirely normal to be reaching out all the time because of how it was with Abby.

Most of this ended up me just thinking through this from a writing perspective and then putting down what I would do if I were writing this and where I’d be finding connections. So maybe it’s not the strongest it terms of like rhetoric, if you were someone who was doubtful. But I feel like this at least kind of give me a roadmap of a few places this could be going, maybe you feel the same. Sort of a mess but so is this show!

In a world where Buddie goes canon, this is how it should be done

(I don’t think this is what they’re going to do)

First it’s made sure that Buck is confident in his sexuality. Whatever that’s gonna look like.

Eddie has no clue about anything regarding his own sexuality.

Then, after all the Chris stuff is worked out, after he’s back in LA and back in his house [I’ll come back to the Buck in his house thing later, pretend it’s not happening], Eddie tries to date a woman.

It doesn’t work. Let’s say the show makes it clear he is fully over Shannon by this point. That he doesn’t feel like Chris’ heart is his focus anymore. But yet the relationship still doesn’t work.

He then starts to unravel why. Vibes of him and Ana from back in the day.

From there Eddie has some sort of realization. Either about his sexuality or about Buck.

Then Buck has to reach the point where he realizes feelings for Eddie, his previously straight friend that he didn’t think would be a possibility.

No one wants to make a move.

Then they do and boom you’re done.

Now, I don’t think the show will do any of this. If they’re going to do buddie, they’re going to do it fast and without dragging it out. If they drag it, there’s potential for it to get snagged. So they’re racing from A to B to C.

Which is why I bring up the house. That’s a corner. Unless Buck moves out before Eddie returns, and maybe with a time jump that’s a few months… It makes more logical sense for him to still be there.

They’re going to speed run a relationship which the General audience will see as 0 to 100. Because canonically there still hasn’t been anything that states romance or romantic intent between the characters. The past two episodes have felt like the start, but with the pace they’re going, I think they’ll lock in by the end of the season, which would be terrible.

I’m for whatever relationship on this show is earned. If that’s Buddie, BuckTommy, Buck and a girl he meets walking his new dog, I don’t care. I just care about good story. People pushing for Buddie to go canon by ep 15 don’t actually care about the story of Buddie, they care about feeling vindicated for being on a winning ship. For people like me, who would actually like to watch a good story unfold, the buildup is potentially just starting and it needs the rest of this season and I’d say half of the next.

i've been struck by inspiration

here's my ranking of twisted wonderland students by how likely i'd be to let them behind the wheel of a car. this is gonna be a long one bc i'm including explanations of course. (and i know that in-game it's rare to be able to drive, we're ignoring that and pretending it's common to drive around)

1. Leona: canonically, he can drive and drive well. i feel like this was an easy one. but it makes sense!

2. Vil: he just has so many random skills that i feel like driving would be no problem at all. honestly, there's not much that i think vil CAN'T do

3. Trey: everything about him screams Responsible Driver. he would definitely play chauffeur for heartslabyul whenever they need to go somewhere. AND he'd have snacks in the glove compartment. 10/10 ride

4. Jamil: he can absolutely drive well - near perfect i'd argue. what's the alternative? let KALIM drive? get real. it's his duty to get where he needs to go safely

5. Jack: the self-discipline that this boy possesses is unrivaled. he would be locked in behind the wheel. he spent so long becoming the best driver he can be and by god, he's gonna prove it

6. Deuce: LISTEN TO ME, LISTEN! he's really good on that blastcycle which is more dangerous and difficult (said as a former bike/atv guy). a car is nothing to him. plus he's on his Honor Student streak so he's trying his best. my only worry is speed. slow it down, friend

7. Epel: similar to deuce. farm kids learn to drive really early in their lives. HOWEVER... driving safely?? hmmmm... his biggest flaws are going too fast and whipping around curves when no one else is on the road

8. Riddle: he would definitely follow all the road rules. to the letter. every trip would take an extra 30 minutes to an hour. no music, windows up, silence. he won't even let YOU be on your phone lest he become distracted. also ROAD RAGE. interstate driving would get very scary

9. Ortho: fuck it, let the robot give it a shot

10. Azul: i feel like once he figured out the mechanics, he would be fine on the road. however, if he got pulled over he would definitely argue with the cop and get us both arrested. so... i'm gonna pass

List of Small Things™ I enjoy about Fullmetal Alchemist in no particular order

Everyone in FMAB/manga is just Some Guy™ and very human and I love that so here goes:

Falman getting stuck with a serial-killing suit of armor in his appartment for days and his reaction to it. It may have been weeks. He's been on sick leave the entire time. He's a guy in his early thirties with a flock of early-greying hair because being in a dead-end-role in the military is stressfull, ok. He gets stuck at home with a funny little serial killer (and eventually some foreign body guards, and a foreign prince?? lighting signal fires in his backyard?? like man what a week)

The whole military ambush against the Devil's Nest was yes, kind of kickstarted by the gang kidnapping Al for Greed, but it was mostly kickstarted because Ed was down south to do his yearly official report and Bradley and Armstrong just happened to be present when he was informed Al had gone missing. Greed's entire operation was done in by a teen doing his paperwork

on that note, Greed really decided to spend his immortality wisely by pursuing absolutely none of his supposed ambitions and just decided to settle down with a bunch of buddies. An offshot of the buddies he was initially made to guard, too. I don't think Greed is aware of this either

everyone on that radio building. The radio host 100% down to get some coup-shenanigans into his station to drive engagement. The guys sympathising with Mrs Bradley and taking care of her. Breda taking control of the narrative with a perpetual frown by the skin of his teeth.

I know the story of how the Bradleys met is technically not canon(?) but Mrs Bradley slapping her future husband upon their first meeting because he got his flirting tips from his siblings will never not be funny. Idiots. All of them.

EVERYTHING about Darius and Heinkel. They lost their jobs and became wanted criminals upon helping out some scrawny 15 year old. They have families they miss dearly. They haven't looked back since. "You guys don't HAVE to help me save the world" - "It's not like we have anything better to do"

i was going to say the Ice Cream Truck, because it's iconic, but actually, when told to disguise a vehicle, 15-year-old pinacle of edgelord fashion Edward Elric turned it into a colourful nightmare of spikes that barely resembled a car but might be closely related to the worlds deadliest parade float. None of this was necessary. Ed is just like that.

Denny Brosh bursting into tears when he sees Maria Ross is still alive. Dude managed to not quit his job despite working in the same city (department?) where his best friend's killer was his supervisor. They were also very real for showing us that this is a guy who oversleeps and is older brother to at least three younger siblings. There was no need to give us more on Denny Brosh but every little detail hit so hard when they reunited.

a/n: first Xavier work! pls be gentle idk his character 100% yet lol. i hope u guys don’t mind how i formatted the headcanons. some of these are kinda blurbs or mini-stories tbh >///< i wrote at least half of this at 7am too, and I don’t remember Xav’s lore that well so some minor mistakes may be made according to that sorry guys :(( and uh, mild angst at the end sorry about that too

ᯓ★. Whenever you run out of moisturizer or facial cream, it’s Xavier who always finds out first (it used to be Tara while you two chatted at work). It’s an offhand comment during a conversation you two are having after he gets a break from fighting Wanderers, so you don’t expect him to remember it whatsoever. But he does, and when he goes out for groceries before he comes home, he’s got those things in a bag ready to bring home to you so you can continue on with your routine without missing a day in it.

ᯓ★. You both do each other’s skin care routine, too. After you teach him how to start taking care of his already flawless skin better, he asks you to teach him how to do your own routine so he can do it for you. He loves touching your skin—loves feeling the soft squish of your cheeks underneath his firm fingertips as he smoothes over creams across your face—every chance he can get.

ᯓ★. He also takes off your makeup at the end of the day. Whenever you’re tired from work or an outing, if you have makeup on and you’re too tired, regardless of how tired he is, he’ll do his best to stay awake and remove your makeup for you while you sit on the bathroom counter. You end up having to carry your six-foot-one boyfriend to bed after he finishes wiping the last of your makeup and falls asleep on your chest as his reward though lol.

ᯓ★. Apparently canonically, as boyfriend and girlfriend, you have his debit card number, so you can use his card to buy all sorts of things that you have your eyes on whenever you go shop. You don’t try to overdo it when he tells you to use his card for that, even if he’s got plenty of money stored away. But when he gets insistent, you can’t really say no to him. Xavier’s not allowed to be jealous or touch your Lumiere merch without your permission though once you come home with them.

ᯓ★. The man has a piano in his apartment. If you don’t know how to play, then he’d be more than happy to teach you. If not, then he’s more than happy to serenade you with his skills. When there are rainy days, you ask him to play while the patio door is open and thunder rumbles and rain falls from the sky, creating an aesthetic atmosphere that you’ve heard of and seen in romance books and movies.

On days you’re sad or upset, or just in an off-mood altogether, Xavier sits himself down at the piano and starts to weave his fingers across the keys into a friendly melody while you sit on the couch. Regardless of how long it takes, you always find your spirits lifted once Xavier starts to play. And the smiles he gives you when he looks back from time to time always warm your heart.

ᯓ★. Man is a horrible cook. He knows how to make maybe two things without blowing up the oven or stove and that’s it. Thankfully, you handle most of the cooking from the moment you move in. Either that, or he takes you downstairs to the cafe for breakfast in your pajamas while you both are still rubbing your eyelids. You both also probably end up going back to sleep on a full stomach after that too, especially on your days off.

ᯓ★. Sleeps like the dead, this guy does. His longest record of sleep was 48 hours. And if you hadn’t experienced it beforehand or hadn’t been aware of his… condition, or aware of capacity to sleep for such awfully long periods of time, you most certainly would’ve taken your boyfriend to the hospital as soon as the 18 hour mark had hit… or if he hadn’t woken up when you were poking his cheek and grabbed you to be his cuddle buddy. Rip your bladder if you had to pee. But thankfully he makes up for it by being the best cuddle buddy/boyfriend ever…

Until 20 minutes later when you have to deal with a grumpy and awake Xavier after you wrestle yourself from him to go and desperately relieve yourself.

ᯓ★. Xavier is a jealous man. Even still to Jeremiah. You have to roll your eyes at him and pinch his cheek when someone comes up to you and tries to make any attempt at friendly conversation. It for some reason shows in particular when you’re flocked by children while you’re on duty with Xavier. You answer all of their questions excitedly, but to the one boy who asks, “Will I have a partner as pretty as you?” Xavier ends up being the one who answers as flat as possible, “Probably not.”

Thankfully the kid rebounds from his words pretty quick when the other boys and girls start asking more questions. You, however, can still see the frown on Xavier’s face. You’ll make it up to him with some hot pot later. And when you’re far enough, you pressing a kiss to his cheek seems to bring him out of his jealousy.

ᯓ★. Xavier has no issue with telling people off if they make you uncomfortable though. One incident at the bakery here recently is the most memorable, mostly because of how uncomfortable the guy had been able to make you.

The way Xavier suddenly appears beside you startles you, but when he puts a strong arm around your shoulders and tucks you protectively into his side, you find yourself relaxing into him and his comforting scent as he tells you the cake will be brought to your seats soon. You have no problem as you nod and close your eyes to let your boyfriend handle the other man with a hardened glare and an anything-but-sincere apology. And when Xavier leads you to your seats, he watches with his same glare as makes sure the guy hurries out the door and leaves.

ᯓ★. There are times when Xavier sleeps so hard he ends up waking up in the middle of the night. You’re asleep next to him, partially latched onto his soft sweater. He hates to pull away, but he’s hungry, and needs to quell the thoughts in his head of the dream he’d just had.

The living room is dead silent. He stares out of the window, water in hand as his mind races, thoughts of his homeworld. This isn’t the first time this has happened, nor will it be the last—the guilt of falling in love with this version of you when he has his queen to return home to, and perhaps… the guilt of falling in love with Philos’s version of you and having this version of you to himself also consumes him.

Guilt… because he loves all versions of you no matter the lifetime and he feels like he shouldn’t. He doesn’t belong here; he belongs on Philos with his beloved.

But he cannot help but also love the indescribable warmth and open love and joy that this version of you brings him.

Warrior dump facts.

As a teenager, The Warriors was my special interests and I LOVE the movie and I used to play the Rockstar game when i was younger and now I LOVE the Lin & Eisa album so, here are some facts from the movie (+the comics) and game (Not canon to each other) to give you guys ideas for fanfics, fanarts, etc.

I'll refer to them as their masculine counterpart since I'm talking about the movie/comic/game, where all (except Mercy) are men.

Warrior facts.

The most known fact, 2 warriors weren't included in the album, Vermin and Snow

The Warriors get their money by mugging, and selling Stereos they steal from cars

Cleon has a Girlfriend named Lincoln, she was supposed to appear at the start of the movie but they deleted the scene

Mercy hated that his then boyfriend Sully (Yes, the guy from the Orphans) care more for his car

The warriors and the riffs brake Ajax out of prison

Cochise lived in Harlem until he and his mother moved to Brooklyn

Rembrandt is gay

Ajax has like a few girlfriends

The warriors started as part of another gang "The Destroyers" they had problems with the leader so Cleon and Vermin left and formed the Warriors

(Not sure if this is true) Fox was supposed to be Mercy's love interest at first

The warriors make some Coney businesses pay them for protection, 25$ weekly I think

Their hangout is an old abandoned building that, to me, looked like a storage for the amusement park

Only Cleon, Vermin, Swan, and Cowboy were Destroyers first. The rest arrived directly to the Warriors

Mercy dated the rich guy to get her apartment because she thought the Warriors life was no way to live

Technically, Mercy and Swan are not really together, tho Swan insist for her to go back to Coney with him

They (Mercy and Swan) end up reconciliating, and she goes back to living with him in Coney

Rembrandt sprays paint on his enemies faces as a fighting attack

Before Fox, they also lost a member named Ash, the leader of the Destroyers killed him

He (Ash) was also really close to Vermin, and his death affects him pretty deeply

Rembrandt's art teacher tries to convince him that the gang is only using him and to leave it so he drops his class

Mercy was not only Sully's girlfriend but also the Orphans' prostitute

Rembrandt gives Swan a drawing of Mercy that he made for him

After Cyrus' death, everything went back to the "normal". The truce was off, and the gangs went against each other again

This is not an IN movie/game fact, just a movie/game fact, but still interesting

You may know the movie symbol, a skull with feathers. Well, this symbol looked too similar to an actual gang that sued them, so it changed to a snake in flames

I am so happy to see a canonical badass also be canonically queer. I can't tell you how many amazing men I know who were closeted bi because it wasn't an option for them to be open.

I'm also raising an eyebrow at the writers since we now know that without Fox's chokehold on them, and KR writing nonsense, they can spin a good story, surprise us, and keep us entertained.

I want to see Buck discover who he is outside of the 118, the Diazes best friend, and the man who is always left behind. I want to see Buck spoiled and taken care of for once. Instead of him planning and executing the grand gestures, it's time for someone to do it for him.

I stand by what I said in a post weeks ago. Eddie Diaz was coded to appeal to the more conservative of the population and I have a theory on who pushed that and why. It is obvious who that character was supposed to click with. I believe he was written in a way to prevent Buddie and if you look closely, whoever "developed" him did so in a way that baited Buddie but kept it subtle for those who would be offended if that happened.

911 goes to a more open-minded network and we get characters who are much more developed in just four episodes? That wouldn't be possible if the elements weren't already there but lying dormant. I wonder why those character traits weren't tapped at Fox. Hmm?

If fans don't see the potential for not just season 7, but season 8 and beyond, to yield amazing character development and story arcs, you are not paying attention. There are so many areas that have yet to be explored and so many loose ends from Fox and KR. Just cleaning up the mess from the prior powers could give the show a good two to three seasons.

In my heart of hearts, Buddie is endgame. Even in this episode, Buck gushes about Eddie. He gets that look in his eye and sings his praises just before kissing Tommy, who is literally a physical specimen reminiscent of Buck but a copy of Eddie in every other way.

Do I think Buck and Tommy will go anywhere? I do. Just like Buck and Taylor, I think it could be serious. I could also see Tommy figuring out Buck is into him because of how much like Eddie he is.

But, I am willing to celebrate the victory of seeing someone figure things out, explore life, and love it.

Also, major props to Oliver Stark and Lou Ferrigno, Jr. It's easier now, but it's not easy and they are going to catch hate from the bigots.

Ship dysphoria

Ok so a bit of time has gone by, and the 9-1-1 fandom is settling into a bit of an...existential crisis?

Because 90% of this fandom is built on Buddie. Buddie has always been the strongest driving force. We love our other blorbos, but it's Buddie that usually drives us feral.

Except...Buck/Tommy. OMG. It is WORKING for a lot of fans. (and JFC we cannot settle on a ship name. Tevan? Kinley? I'm gonna stick with Buck/Tommy)

A LOT of fans are having a "I'm a devoted Buddie shipper, why do I like this so much??" moment and it can almost feel like a betrayal, or that you're deserting the ship (the ship that, remember, Oliver told us to stay aboard).

And I think I can probably speak for everybody when I say that the last thing we want or need is a ship war in this fandom, something we haven't ever really had but which has torn other fandoms apart.

So I'm gonna put on my veteran-of-many-fandoms hat for a second and tell you a thing:

It's okay to ship Buck and Tommy. It's ok to do that and still ship Buddie. It's also okay to leave Buddie behind if it's not working for you anymore. It's okay to just tolerate Buck and Tommy and not really care about it, and stay focused on Buddie. You are allowed to ship however it works for you, and you are not limited to one and only one ship. If you decide you don't think Buddie will happen and you're going to cut your losses, that's okay, too. It is not a reflection on your character or something. You don't swear an oath of fealty to a ship.

We don't know how long Tommy will stick around, but Buck will still be bisexual. He may date another man. He may date a woman again. You can ship those things too.

But why is this ship hitting me so hard? I never thought I'd like Buck with another man! I'm so confused!

I get that. There are some reasons why that might be.

There is something very appealing about a ship that's canon. Some of you might never have had a canon queer ship, but the pull is strong. There's no guessing, no interpreting, no subtext-examining. It's there, it's real, you don't have to wonder if you're just overinterpreting things. Yes. Buck and Tommy kissed and are going on a date. Even if that's all it ever is, you'll never be accused of "seeing things that aren't there." Don't discount that.

Tommy, even in just 1.5 episodes, is a LOT more integrated into the firefam than any of Buck's previous girlfriends. Tim talked about not wanting him to be "siloed off" away from the main cast and that was exactly the problem with his prior girlfriends. Tommy is friends with Eddie. He knows Christopher and has hung out with him. He spent most of that loft conversation reassuring Buck that his place in Eddie's life was secure. He feels more like part of the gang than any other ones. That makes it easier to see him in Buck's life.

The mere fact of Buck's queer awakening is so monumental for so many of us that the character who helped him get there is going to naturally earn our affection immediately, and it's going to make you want that relationship to succeed, even if it's ulitmately not endgame for Buck. You want to see Buck have a good experience the first time out with a man. Of course you do.

And we just want to see Buck make out with a hot beefy firefighter. That is so valid of us.

Anyway. There is no need for a crisis. You can love Buddie with your whole heart and still be excited about this pairing, and want to see how it goes, and read fic about it. I may be writing a lil something myself.

Who’s Juniperclaw again? Also the quote about ruthlessness? Staring curiously

Canon!Juniperclaw is tigerHeartstar's nephew, son of Dawnpelt and brother to Strikestone and Sleekwhisker.

He was the first deputy of ShadowClan after tigerHeartstar's return, until he tried to pressure SkyClan into leaving the Lake in AVOS by poisoning their food. No one was hurt any worse than "bad tummyache," but he was exiled anyway. He then died rescuing Shadowkit from a flooded river QuickTime event.

We found out that he went to the Dark Forest in TBC. He was allowed to become the guardian of the tunnel between the Place of No Stars and StarClan's Hunting Grounds, in the hopes of finding redemption.

For BB this is all a bit different;

I've been waiting for a while for the perfect opportunity to rise to rework Juniperclaw's story.

I REALLY like the idea of his poisoning, his exile, and his placement in the Dark Forest... but the back half of AVoS is baddd.

Plus, it's just too bloodless. If he's going to get DARK FOREST over this, I expect a body count.

So now, his actions lead to at least 3 deaths. Leafstar is one of them, Sparkpelt was ALMOST another but Hollylark uses xeir powers to die in her place, and Flickerkit dies shortly before his birth.

ANYWAY JUNIPERCLAW

I feel like he wasn't expecting the death toll to be so devastating.

This event is being moved to Squirrelflight's Horror. Juniper's plot was that he was going to do this poisoning to blame it on The Sisters.

He just wanted SkyClan off ShadowClan land, he figured if he convinced Leafstar that the Sisters are a threat that needs to be dealt with that she'd move

He didn't think it would kill three people, just make them sick! Maybe just ONE of Leafstar's lives! And how was he supposed to know ThunderClan's leader's daughter would have a bowl?!

This plan probably works, but the guilt EATS Juniperclaw alive. He got exactly what he wanted-- a battle patrol against expectant queens.

I can't see this secret going on too long, someone rats him out and he crumbles. He can't live with it anymore.

But in Waspstar's eyes, an exile was a light punishment. Exactly what xey expected out of Heartstar, so openly biased for her family, not taking the death of SkyClan's leader as the murder that it was.

Xey dealt with this by sending a message; all "honored" guests could come and pay their respects to Leafstar.

Juniperclaw isn't invited explicitly... but the message reaches him. It is implied. So he comes, hoping to offer his sincere regrets.

Professional mob boss kind of hit. Someone takes out the pistol with a silencer and ends his existence in the back alley as the loud party inside drowns out the sound of the shot. Do you understand me

Whoever the "hitman" was, Waspstar is the one who ordered it and xey take full responsibility.

The kill was clean. Not messy. Juniperclaw didn't suffer-- unlike his victims.

Juniperclaw goes to the Dark Forest like canon, but in BB he isn't the only border guard. He's buddies with Mudclaw and Appledusk.

The line about ruthlessness I mentioned offhandedly is this one from KA Applegate. I'm pretty sure it's from Animorphs.
