actually sometimes being neurodivergent is great bc you have a particular kind of Silly Mode that just . manifests glory. harmless fun is my precious side quest & i have a high score in whimsy. like okay if i gotta be the first dork in the dance pit it's gonna be me and this random toddler and we're gonna avril-style rock ouuuuttt

But don't forget that in this moment they aren't on great terms.#It's not a knight in shining armor moment - it's a 'you were being treated unjustly and I have the power to absolve you from that.'#And as we are very soon about to see - WWX certainly cannot turn away from those who need aid he can provide.#And like Jin Guangyao; that kindness is also his downfall.#By the way - that you all for the amazing community commentary on the last comic. I don’t think the siren mentioned in Lost Legends that Ford had dated ever had a name, so I’ve decided to call her Penelope because silly Epic reference

I found those deleted storyboards from A Tale of Two Stans where it showed the siren and so I’ve decided to draw her my way based on those boards and do some sillies (5th drawing features my friend @pinkhibiscustea ‘s mermaid OC)

I love that hickey is trying to insert himself into some kind of relationship with crozier but like every niche he tries is already filled by someone else. us irish should stick together - no, crozier's colonial parallel is silna. let me be the little guy on the captain's shoulder - no, that's jopson. surely the flogging will change something - yeah, for thomas hartnell. well he hates me now but he'll surely see my inner depths - no, that's fitzjames.

and then hickey finally technically succeeds at becoming like the only man crozier wouldn't forgive - he kills a whole family! he massacred the men! he makes him eat goodsir! he loots fitzjames' boots from his grave! he leads them to doom and worse doom! - and when he is giving his villain monologue crozier only reaction is just. you could have joined up.

#the terror #they do some brilliant things with hickey's writing but also it's kind of funny #and I do think he's a parallel to crozier too just not in the way he wanted/hoped #also I like that 'you could have joined up' is right there with silna's look when goodsir is like we are dying for the economy #i love the crozier&silna paralllels...#also generally I love antagonists trying to force a relationship with the protagonist who is like who knows you #i blame reading black cat in my formative years #this is obviously more shitpost than polished meta but it is a thing I noticed
