my biggest gripe with s4 is that the subplots don't amount to anything. up to this point, the satisfaction of all the subplots being tied together in the climax was one of the best parts of the show. like the siblings would all go off on little tangents that for us, the viewers, provided pieces of a larger puzzle.
but s4? what was the point of burying klaus alive? the whole CIA thing with diego and luther? five and lila stumbling onto specifically the apocalypse timeline? ben's crypto bit? sure, there were some character moments, but most of the arcs were abandoned at one point or the other. what did they learn from these excursions? how did they connect to the main plot? if they were supposed to, they weren't fleshed out enough for it to be intuitive/interesting.

can we talk about what a downgrade s5 catra was? sure, she was a toxic abuser in the previous seasons, but at least she actually served a purpose to the plot. she was a compelling villain and posed a very real threat.
in s5, catra is a toxic abuser who's also completely useless to the plot. literally all she did was save the bfs from some inconsequential problems a couple times, make snarky comments about the people she hurt, and cry about how adora isn't thinking about her every second of the day.

There are (some) valid critiques about the pacing and story telling
Just remember not turn your constructive criticism for the show runners into hate directed at the child actors
