i am still sulking about no aster. (give me a few days and a couple watermelons and i'll be back to normal)

I wish I could find a doctor that wants to find out what’s actually wrong with me instead of recommending prescriptions to address the symptoms. I’m so tired of being recommended ibuprofen for debilitating pain. Tired of relaying my medical history to a new doctor and getting the same furrowed brow and shrugging shoulders I get every time. Tired of having so-called medical professionals ask why I need a cane if I’m able to walk down their clinic hallway without it. When will someone fucking help me?

#Leif barks #this is gonna get vent-y and shit in the tags just general mental and physical health issue TW #I’ve really given up on going to doctors atp #I used to have at least one sometimes two dr appts every week and I haven’t seen anyone in 6 months #saw a specialist in January for an MRI follow up and he basically went “wow your spine is fucked up! want some pregablin?“#I am 25yo with degenerative disc disease in 4 discs and facet joint arthritis and you as a specialist are not concerned?#because I sure fucking am!#why is my spinal column breaking down inside my body #I also developed an eating disorder in all of this mess bc when my symptoms first started at like 21yo #the only thing I heard from dr’s was “lose weight” so guess what I did #150lbs in a year and a half #and now when I go to a dr I get congratulated for losing it and then get told to take ibuprofen again #also wow getting told you did a good job at starving yourself is a crazy mind fuck #like you can look at my chart and see the weight loss in real time and that’s apparently wasn’t concerning either #I’ve stopped losing weight but now I’m terrified of gaining and I’m in this maintenance limbo that is literal torture on my brain and body #I’m just over here suffering #I tentatively started therapy again bc the depression-anxiety-cptsd-autism-eating disorder combo is killing me #and I’m not kidding I got three sessions in and she told me I’m too much for her to handle #so I guess I will be letting it kill me bc I don’t know what the fuck to do

Is it true Scott Pilgrim can also play drums? I heard in his last band he played drums for awhile! Is he better or worse than you?

HA! SCOTT? GOOD on drums? Is he telling that to people, or did you hear this from somebody else?

I mean, thinking back on it, I think Stephen might have mentioned Scott playing drums in their old college band with Envy? Neither of them really talks about it too much, least of all Scott- he used to freeze up and go catatonic at the slightest mention of her, so I've tried not to pry too much. It makes me feel weird seeing him like that.

Anyway, I'm only really gleaning what he volunteers, until he's entirely over that whole thing I guess. It feels a little awkward trying to get information out of Stephen about something like that, you know? Underhanded. Whenever he's ready to stop being a baby about it, he'll decide what he doesn't and doesn't want to share, and that's that. No matter how frustrating.

Back to him and drumming specifically... I've caught him messing with my set before, and it was only definable then as a cacophony, so far as I'm concerned. And not the good kind, of which there are some. If he can play the drums, I've definitely got him beat, no contest. There's a reason I'm in the band, I guess.

... He could probably beat me in a video game based around them, though, if there are any. He's ridiculously good at those, and whenever I play those kinds of games it never feels like it's properly on beat. It drives me crazy.

#anyway. he's banned from touching my set currently and for the foreseeable future.#his luck he'd somehow end up punching or stabbing a hole through one of then and I'd be out one drum AND some drumsticks #(because I would be breaking them over his stupid orange head when I break his combo record in my blind rage)#but we don't have to worry about that... I don't think I've had a single night I didn't have a dream about being at the summer camp and generally fucking up some aspect of the organisative machine since I left it

#tonight i had a combo of summer camp stress dream + 'i have prepared to play some moderately important part in a play i have lots of opinion #on the character and the costume ready #(but no lines memorised) yet the dream never fucking gets to me bsing #onstage one unexpecred hassle after the other' stress dream + 'damaging object stress dream + i react to being treated injustly with 0 r #restraint screaming insults and breaking things and then i have to live with the aftermath' stress dream #it was not fun!#i did get to see some of my kids in my dresm at least bc the damaging object drama happened in my absence while i was away with a group that #didn't want to stay in the theatre and needed supervising and then there was a scene where i went to say goodnight so ❤️❤️#the damaging object was like. some kid broke a property of the cameraman (stupidly expensivs book) while i was out snd it was decided i was #the one who should have been supervising him so i have to pay. hence the breakdown #op #whining tw #usually the dream is more like 'after the end of the first camp you now need to readapt to another ' so i dont often see the kids
