Being an actor is surely amazing thing. Although it could be also very exhausting, and it can be rough. And that's Austin's case. He texted you more than once saying how much he was looking forward to going home, that he had had a hard day and was tired.

After a grueling day on set, he finally steps through the door, exhaustion visible in his eyes and in the heavy slump of his shoulders. The moment Austin walks in, though, he’s greeted by the warm, savory aroma of his favorite food drifting from the kitchen.

“Hey, babe, I'm home,” he calls out softly, and you peek around the corner, giving him a warm smile. You can see just how drained he is, and without a word, you walk over and wrap your arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. Austin lets out a sigh, resting his head against yours, clinging to you as if you’re the only thing keeping him grounded.

“I made your favorite,” you say softly, giving him a little smile. “I thought you might need a good meal after today.” His eyes soften, and he leans down to press a grateful kiss against your lips. And woah, how much he missed those lips. “You have no idea how much I needed this.”

You guide him to the table, where you’ve already set up everything—candles, his favorite dish, and even a little dessert. As Austin sits down, he looks around, visibly touched by the thought and care you’ve put into making this night special. You serve him, and as he takes his first bite, he lets out a satisfied hum, his eyes meeting yours with a grateful, softened expression.

"This. Is. Frickin'. Delicious." Austin said every word in the way to make you know this was what he craved for. "You're the best cook I know," he says, continuing to eat his food. "Well, thank you, dreamboat." you chuckle.

After dinner, you reach for Austin's hand, pulling him gently toward the bathroom. “I have one more surprise,” you say with a playful smile. He raises an eyebrow, curious, but lets you lead him inside, where you’ve already prepared a warm bubble bath. The room is softly lit with candles, the bath filled with bubbles and infused with his favorite soothing scents. He stares in awe for a second, then looks at you, clearly moved.

“I can’t believe you did all this…for me,” he says, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he pulls you in for another hug. “Of course I did,” you murmur, brushing a hand through his hair. “You do so much every day, and I just want you to relax tonight.”

He squeezes your hand and when he noticed that you actually also added rose petals, he can't help but laugh. "Do you know you should be the one who deserves such a romantic bath?" Austin jokes, making you smile. "You mean a rough man like you doesn't deserve a little tenderness?"

Austin laughs back at your humor, and starts to take off his clothes. As much as you fight the urge, you still watch his muscular body. He gets in, comfortable in the warm water, closes his eyes, the tension in his shoulders finally easing. "Wait a second," you managed to speak again, leaving him in the bathroom.

As you come back, you carry a glass of champagne with a strawberry in it. "There you go," you say, handing him the glass. Austin's smile widen, making him smirk. "You haven't forgotten anything, have you?" he said and took a sip. You follow him with your eyes, every move, every sigh he lets out. Even though he is tired, he is incredibly hot.

"Are you just going to stand there and watch?" Austin lets out, when he notices you standing there like a fool. "Join me, the tub is big enough." he smirks. How is even possible he can make you feel butterflies like some teenage girl?

After doubting for a moment, he nodded his head towards the bath to signal that there was plenty of room beside him. Finally, you agreed, taking your clothes off, too. His eyes don't leave you, capturing your every move. He holds out his hand, which is wet, covered in bubbles, to help you get inside.

You lay beside him, his arm around your shoulders as he press a kiss into your hair. You can feel the way his body reacts to your touch, making him hum. You then felt Austin kissing your neck, more intensively every time.

"I thought you were tired?" You smirked, looking at him. "I'm never too tired for you, doll," he says, his voice deep. Doll. That nickname is stuck with him since he played Elvis and you absolutely loved it. His hands started to roam around your body, and eventually flipped you, so you lay on the top of him.

You heard the water splash out when he did so. Gasping a little, he pressed his lips against yours. "You're so, so amazing. I can't get enough of you." Austin breathes fast as he continues pressing a small kisses all around your neck.

The original plan was for you to watch a movie together, but now it's clear that Mr. Butler has something much different planned...

also on a very random personal note, I'm actually writing a gender-swapped version of cinderella set in a fictionalized version of enlightenment france (mostly to help myself get back into creative writing lol), and I was having such a hard time figuring out what the dauphine (my version of "prince charming") should wear at the ball. and then I come across "la grande duchesse" and it was instantly like omg yes this is fucking IT!!! I think I'll have her skirt be mostly black to match the coat (and to fit my vibe of her), but otherwise I finally have a reference for how to describe her outfit, which has been vexing me since I started the story ☺️☺️

So here’s the thing about Logan, in the movies everyone treats him like he’s an animal (big shock), they treat him like he’s dangerous, like there is something inherently wrong with him.

But no one seems to care to acknowledge that what is “wrong” with Logan probably isn’t what they think it is. In the original X-men movies when the X-Men, despite them a) knowing Logan most likely is over a hundred years old b) literally being a place where mutants are supposed to live without being ashamed of themselves and c) acknowledging that in order to have the adimantium put in his bones he would have to been experimented on and d) have a literal nuke on the team (Jean), still treat him like he’s this unmanageable person because he’s a little grumpy and kind of sassy (mind you also he’s only been in this mansion for like a few fucking days but they act like they already know)

And I really need you to understand something. Logan in the first three X-Men movies is an entirely different character from the comics, not just in the literal sense but in the sense that in the comics Logan is very much an old man in almost every sense of the word except for how he looks. The movies really downplay his age and his troubles, barring a few scenes. So Logan in the X-Men movies is a lot younger in spirit than his comic book counterpart. Which isn’t a problem but it’s kind of weird especially when the characters are treating Movie Logan the way they might treat Comic Logan. And honestly I gotta say that Comic Logan wouldn’t stand for even half the disrespect that the Movie X-Men throw his way 😭

“Yes you have been horribly experimented on and have lived longer than anyone in this room and god I can’t imagine what untold horrors you have experienced.”

And then in the next scene Logan is being talked to like a fucking child or being called an ANIMAL and BOY😭 like what do you mean no one was like “Um actually Hank he’s like over 100 years old…”

Like, even in the cartoons I have a better time believing that Logan is a little more tired and grizzled than early 2000s X-men Movies Logan and this isn’t a diss about the movies but an interrogation (more or less) of how the characters treat him. Because they treat him like another kid and it’s fucking insane to me.

But regardless no matter which versions of then man, Logan out of anyone in that damn mansion deserved to be give some kind of empathy not just for his horrible unknowable past but also for the fact that a majory of his behaviors doesn’t just come out of nowhere and CHARLES FUCKING XAVIER should have known this!!! 😭 and yes they do extend him a lot of grace but I also feel like they’re very condescending towards him which kind of defeats that.

And like i have this HC that his standoffish attitude is a kind of version of his healing factor. Like to some extent I believe that the character’s attitude can partially be attributed to his healing factor in the sense that it’s meant to ward off potential threats (emotional or physical). But no one else in the damn mansion seems even the least bit curious about any components of Logan’s mutation are just like “Guy with bad attitude, claw and incredible healing factor.” And I know it would have been ridiculous for Logan to just tell them what his mutation was but I wish there was a scene where (at the very fucking least) CHARLES of all people was like “Oh no, there’s more to him than meets the eye.” And even if they never fucking elaborated on that at there would have been some indication that that man didn’t just see him and bad attitude with a tragic backstory 😭😭😭

Ellie takes you on a date. A picnic date, precisely. She knows you've been stressed lately, and she thought taking you out might help take your mind off things—at least for a while. You knew it would be lovely, but not like this. This is beautiful. Going to a flower field has always been on your bucket list, let alone having a picnic with the person you love most.

"Ellie!" you exclaim. "Why did you—I mean… Shit. This is beautiful."

Ellie leaves the basket of food on the blanket, then stands behind you, wrapping her arms around you and placing a kiss on your neck.

"You deserve this," she says, resting her chin on your shoulder as you look out at the flower field. It feels like a dream—dating her has always felt this way. "I hope you enjoy it. It took me a while to find a place like this."

You turn around, and her hands never leave your body; they settle on your hips now. "I love this."

The sun peeks through the clouds and shines directly into her eyes and along the curve of her nose. You’ve always thought she’s pretty—but in moments like this, when it’s just the two of you with nothing to do but enjoy each other’s presence, she looks ethereal. You kiss her, both of your hands on her cheeks.

"Thank you for bringing me here," you say as you both sit down. "Really, you didn't have to."

"I wanted to." She shrugs, smiling. "I thought we should do something nice; it's been a while since we've had time for ourselves."

You lean in for another kiss, which Ellie returns happily.

"God," you say, letting your head rest on her shoulder, "What did I do to deserve you?"

"You're asking me that?" she says, incredulous. "You're the prettiest, smartest, sweetest, and coolest girl I've ever met… How could I not love you? That's the real question."

You feel your cheeks flush, a warm pink spreading across your face as you look up at her. You’ve always thought Ellie was prettier than you—hell, you’ve always thought she was better at everything. She’s smart, beautiful, and always knows what to say. But the way she talks about you always makes you feel like she’s put you on a pedestal, for better or worse.

You chuckle, eyes bright with devotion. "I love you so much."

"I love you, too." Ellie’s the one to kiss you now, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "I really can't believe I'm dating you."

After you finish eating, you eventually end up with your head resting on her lap. The sun has faded a bit, leaving blue and orange streaks scattered across the sky. It looks beautiful, you think, as Ellie tucks daisies into your hair, braiding a strand every now and then. It feels nice, her fingers brushing against your scalp.

"You look so sleepy, baby," Ellie chuckles, finishing with a kiss on your forehead. "Are you sure you don't want to head back?"

You shake your head and sit up. "Can we stay a while longer?"

Ellie doesn’t answer; she leans in for a kiss and gently guides you both to lie down until your back hits the ground, with her next to you, propped up on one elbow. One of her hands rests on your cheek, her thumb gently caressing your skin as you keep on kissing.

When you pull away, Ellie rests her head on your chest. You wrap your arms around her.

"I think we can stay here a little while longer."

IT'S BEEN A REALLY LONG 4 YEARS OF ACCEPTANCE🥹🥹🥹 Perhaps many people are wondering "Why do you say that ShuZul is 4 years?! You only started drawing them in May-June" but in fact they are really 4 years🥺😭

I love Azul with all my heart and would like to show love to him in any creative way. But to do this, I had to get over myself, through my low self-esteem, self-doubt, self-loathing and disgust. I "officially" drew ShuZul for the first time last year when I was 17 and I was really ashamed, I didn't show it to anyone except my sis. I was like, "Ugh, my God, we're the same age. I'm so nasty and Shuu looks very stupid and terrible, Azul deserves better than this". IT WAS TERRIBLE...

And this year I decided to try again because I had some ideas🛐 It was difficult because it was before the exams (MAYBE THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T PASS THEM, LMAO/j) and it was really emotionally difficult💔 BUT THEN MY FIRST POSTS ABOUT SHUZUL GOT REALLY A LOT OF NOTES, I WAS SO SURPRISED🥺😭😭😭 And now that it is, Im really happy to receive all your support, love and approval. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have continued to draw ShuZul and talk about them in this way🛐💖❤️💖

Tidbit Tuesday

I was tagged by @divine-victory (you’re so nice to me 😭 — thank you!) to post some wip snippet I guess but I have nothing except the new chapter of Glass doors I’ve been working on for ages so I’m posting a bit of that for y’all.

“Can I make a confession?” Eddie whispers, breathing Buck’s smell in.

“Mhm…”

“I kinda hate your parents.”

Eddie says that almost conspiratorially, in such a way that Buck can’t help but laugh, leaning back and looking at him with shiny eyes.

“I love you,” he mumbles, feeling a little bit too pathetic but so, so honest.

“Yeah, love you too, Buck.”

Eddie keeps rubbing his back until they both silently decide to go back to bed and now it’s Buck who cuddles up on Eddie’s chest. More specifically, Buck puts his head on Eddie’s shoulder, his arm thrown across Eddie’s middle and their legs tangled together.

“She said I don’t have to bother with coming back at this point…”

Buck leaves that hanging in the air of Eddie’s dark room, cocooned by Eddie’s arms and his presence, while his heart breaks and heals at the same time. Eddie audibly gulps, recoils at the admission. He can’t even begin to imagine telling his own son such a cruel thing.

“I’m sorry, Buck, I- I really hate that. You don’t deserve any of that,” he tells Buck, turning around to have a better hold of the other man.

That’s when he notices the silent tears on Buck’s face and he goes to dry them with his thumbs. “Buck, hey,” he pushes him. “Look at me.”

“I’m sorry, I’m a mess, I’m-” Buck wiggles away from Eddie’s embrace, fully intent on getting out of his bed, out of his hair, on taking his leave.

“No, Buck, hey- hey, stop that.” Eddie grabs his wrists, dragging him into his chest and that’s Buck’s last straw. He breaks down and cries, sobs until his eyes hurt and his face is swollen, while Eddie pats his head and combs his hair with his fingers.

“Shh, you’re okay, baby, you’re gonna be okay, I’m right here,” is one of the things Eddie finds himself babbling over and over, in the desperate attempt to help his boyfriend feel better.

Buck shakes his head. “I just-” he sniffles. “Just want a family who loves me.” Eddie holds him a bit tighter. “Why’s that too much?”

Cause you’re too much, a voice reminds him.

“I… I don’t know, Buck. Bu- but I can be that, I want to be that, for you… if you want me,” Eddie tells him. And God. This is everything he has ever dreamed of. Being chosen. Being loved. Being respected. Cherished. Accepted. Eddie’s fingers on his cheek burn. Buck wants to drown in this man, crawl into his skin. How did he get so lucky?

“Eddie, I- I- you can’t-” He’s cut off with a searing kiss that leaves him breathless.

“I know you want your parents to love you. Everyone wants that. Even I want that… but, I just,” Eddie takes a moment, as though he is really contemplating his next words. “I want to be yours, your best friend, your boyfriend, your-”

He hopes that one day he will be able to say husband and he stops.

I agree with making the change they made to his eyes. He has beautiful eyes. And I did feel he looked more cartoony with the whites in his eyes. I didn't notice it so much in Vol 2 but I definitely noticed it in Infinity War and Endgame.

Some interesting info from an article I found on James Gunn and the VFX team's approach on Rocket's design (link at the bottom):
