End Of The World : ÌÌâ Lando Norris
summary: you were fine that morning, so when lando suddenly gets a phone call that changes his things upside down, it feels as if his world has come crashing down
His heart sunk as Lando tried to get his head around what he was told on the phone. It was a blur of words to him as Lando tried to piece it altogether, tears falling freely down his cheeks. His knees buckled from underneath him as Lando dropped down into a chair, his breath shaky, heart racing as the call came to an end.Â
He couldnât quite believe it, your smile the last thing he saw that morning. Yet after being hit on your way to work, Landoâs world suddenly felt as if it was crashing down, hearing that your unconscious body had been transported to the nearest hospital.Â
âI-I need to go,â Lando stuttered as he stood up from the meeting, rushing out of the building before anyone could reply. Panicked eyes watched Lando, but he was long gone, sprinting as fast as he could out of the building to where his car was parked. The journey was a blur as Lando blinked through his tears, hurrying into the hospital, shouting out your name.Â
He was stopped by a doctor holding onto his shoulders, noticing how distressed he was.Â
âRight this way,â the doctor told him, leading him down the corridor to where Lando could find you. âThere is one thing that I must tell you first, your girlfriend is not in a good way. Thereâs extensive damage, most of it physical, which you need to prepare for.âÂ
âI donât care,â Lando whispered, âI just want to be with her, please.âÂ
As the door to your room opened, a sharp intake of breath came from him. Lando couldnât believe his eyes as he noticed the cuts and grazes all over your body, the machines around your bedside with cables attached to your body to keep you alive.Â
âOh, love,â Lando hummed, rushing to sit down beside you, placing his hand delicately over yours. You were cold, fragile, nothing like the warmth he usually received from you. âIâm here now,â Lando told you, brushing the pad of his thumb over the back of your hand. âSheâs going to be alright, isnât she?âÂ
âSheâs stable,â the doctor informed him, standing in the doorway to your room. âThe injuries are quite severe; weâre going to have to be closely monitoring your partner for a little while longer before we can make any decisions.âÂ
âIs there going to be any lasting damage? Permanently?âÂ
âMost of her injuries will heal with time,â the doctor tried his best to assure Lando, offering him a weak smile. âIt sounds like the driver lost control of their car when they hit your partnerâs, she overturned into the road,â he added, watching Lando flinch as he pictured the scene of the crash. Â
All he could see was your car, with you terrified inside of it. Lando hated thinking about how you felt, how scared you must have been when that impact came, all alone in your car. He could imagine you calling out for him to help you, only he was nowhere to be found.Â
His free hand continued to wipe under his eyes as Lando continued to study you. Heâd lost count of how many marks he found, bruises, scrapes, cuts, not to mention the dry blood that was in your hairline. He wished he could do something, anything, to take the pain away.Â
The doctor left the room, leaving Lando all by himself with you, giving him the time that he needed. His mind was racing with his own thoughts as his eyes stayed staring down at you, struggling to believe how his life had managed to turn upside down in only a blink of an eye.Â
âIâm not leaving your side,â Lando whispered as he squeezed your hand, âI promise that youâre going to be alright.âÂ
The lack of response from you sent a shiver down Landoâs spine. Usually youâd laugh, or smile, give him some sort of reaction, but instead Lando was left with nothing from you.Â
âI hate that you went through this all alone,â Lando added, moving one of his hands to brush over the top of your head through your hair. âI love you, however long you need to Iâm going to be there for you. I know I joke about telling you to shut up all the time, but now I really could do with hearing your voice sweetheart.âÂ
The only sound in the room was the beep of the machines, letting Lando know that you were still there. It was a steady beat, which the doctor assured him was a good sign, but the only sign that Lando would take was the one when your eyes opened up.Â
The hours he spent at the hospital soon became days, turning into a couple of weeks. Lando could hardly remember what the outside looked like as he spent every possible second with you, making sure that you knew that he was right there with you.Â
When they could, his family and friends would stay with him for a while, even some of the other drivers had stopped by too. Mostly they were there to check on Lando, knowing that heâd no doubt neglect himself as he tried to focus all his energy on you instead.Â
âThere you are,â one of the nurses smiled as Lando walked through the hospital doors again, rushing down the corridor to get to him. âWe were wondering if we were going to see you again.âÂ
Lando looked suspiciously across at her, following behind as she walked down to where your room was. âHas something happened?âÂ
âDonât worry,â she smiled, saying nothing more as they got to the door to your room. âIâll come and see how sheâs getting on in a bit.âÂ
Lando nodded as he opened up the door, placing his phone into his pocket that he held. The regular beeping greeted him, although as Landoâs eyes looked up, his heart stopped as he saw a familiar pair of eyes staring back across at him.Â
Lando rushed in, taking his usual seat beside you.Â
âYouâre awake,â he whispered, leaning across and pressing a kiss to your forehead. âAre you alright? Do you need anything?â Lando fretted, eyes studying you closely.Â
Your head faintly shook, the amount of pain you were in evident from the expression that was on your face. âIâm fine,â you whispered, your voice barely audible.Â
A sigh came from Lando as he heard just how weak you were for the very first time. âYouâve got no idea how scared I was, I thought I was going to lose you, like the end of the world or something.âÂ
There was a look of disbelief on Landoâs face as he held onto your hand, struggling to believe that you were there with him. It would still be a long recovery for you, but it was the start that he had been hoping for.Â
âYouâve got no idea how many people have stopped by to visit you,â Lando told you, âI always knew that everyone adored you, but I had no idea just how much, theyâre all going to be so happy to hear youâre awake.âÂ
Your smile slowly turned up as Lando spoke, your mind was foggy as you tried to figure how much you had missed, still so uncertain as to what had happened.Â
âYouâre going to be alright,â Lando smiled, squeezing against your hand once again. âIâm going to be with you every single second, I promise.âÂ
âW-what happened?â You stuttered, voice faltering as you looked to Lando to try and make sense of everything and fit the missing jigsaw pieces together.Â
Lando frowned, âyour car was overturned, some guy lost control and went crashing into you, but you donât need to worry about that, everything is getting sorted.âÂ
Your head nodded as Lando pressed a kiss to your cheek. âI love you,â you whispered as his ear brushed your lips.Â
âI love you too, Iâm so glad that youâre okay.âÂ

PROLOGUE
âStay off Figure 8!âÂ
The all too familiar deep voice boomed across the beach, a completely dead silence started to surround the atmosphere. A loud groan was heard along with the unsteady thump of a person falling onto the sand, causing people standing around to gasp.Â
JJ struggled to get up from the ground, the big punch he received from the one and only caused his nose to bleed non stop, and when he barely opened his eyes, he was met with a pair of icy cold blues staring back at him.Â
âYou hear me, Maybank? Stay. Off. Figure. 8. You and all your filthy pogue friends.âÂ
JJ tried getting up and talking back, he really did, but the one and only Rafe Cameron punched him so hard he lost all his balance. Blood kept on flowing in a never ending fashion, and JJ could see dark spots in his vision, his mind feeling light headed.Â
âJJ!â
Rafe froze in his position, not looking up from JJ at the sound of JJâs name being called out. The voice, the perfume, the general aura of the presence; Rafe didnât have to look up to see who it was.Â
âJJ oh my god please tell me youâre okay,â you mumbled, your voice almost trembling with the worry dripping from your words. You got on your knees and gently cradled JJâs face, pulling it into your lap as you brushed his hair aside to look at the extent of damage on his face. JJ mumbled something incoherently and you let out a sigh, relieved he wasnât completely knocked out.Â
Rafe stood there on the side, his eyes widened as he saw how your fingers ran through his hair and wiped off his blood, he saw how careful you were with him, he saw how you mumbled small words of sweet nothingness to him.Â
Rafe didnât know what to say, he stood there limply as he watched you help JJ up, let him loop an arm across your shoulders so you could help him walk back to The Cut.Â
As he saw you both walk back, he felt his blood boil. The rage built in him slowly like a thunderstorm, his breathing started to become erratic and his fists clenched tightly on his sides.Â
âFUCK!âÂ
Rafeâs foot kicked across an empty beer can buried in the sand, causing it to fly and topple a few meters further from him.Â
He wouldnât have done anything to JJ, heck, he wouldnât have looked at him if he knew you were on the beach too.Â
The look on your face when you saw how hurt JJ was, the concern clouding all over your facial features; from the furrow of your brow to the frown on your lips, he knew you now hated him more than ever. He knew you would never want to look at him ever again. He knew you would never acknowledge his presence ever again.Â
He knew there was no chance you would look at him the way he looked at you.Â
ONE â THE PARTY
It was crazy.
The lights were neon and bright and they pierced your eyes harshly. The people at the party were almost sticking next to each other, their sweat, weed, alcohol, and an ungodly mix of expensive and cheap colognes being the only thing you can smell.Â
You almost gagged as you maneuvered your way through the sweaty crowd, but you finally did, finding yourself taking deep breaths as you leaned against the countertop of the makeshift bar in the kitchen, letting the awful smell wash away from your nose palette.Â
When you started feeling better, you got yourself a nice cold beer, letting the icy liquid run down your throat, sending chills down your spine but in a way you relished deeply.Â
It was a scene like any other party; there were people dancing, some catching a smoke break at the side, some making out on the other side, nothing new.Â
And it wasnât anything new when a fight broke out.Â
You didnât know who the boys were who started to fight; all you saw was them go at each other like wolves, their courage mostly coming from the plethora of drugs in their system, profanities after profanities spilling out their mouth, and you were just watching from the side, completely nonchalant about it.Â
But you were not so nonchalant when glass bottles were involved in hurting the other; you being in close proximity to the fighting pair resulted in one of the flying broken piece of glass cutting your hand, making you yell out at the sharp pain. The cut looked deep as the blood didnât stop gushing out, but no one focused on you. Everyone was too busy watching the fight, trying to stop it, or just enjoying it for the heck of it.Â
You hissed in pain, your own beer bottle set aside as you squeezed your eyes shut from the stinging pain spreading from your hand to your forearm. The blood started to trickle down from your palm down to the floor, and you had no idea what to do or who to go to.Â
It all became a huge mess very quick, you on the side with your hand bleeding, and the rest of the party too busy to peg the immature boys on.Â
You felt a tall shadow stalking over you, the scent of the rich cologne all too familiar.Â
âThat looks bad,â you heard in your ear.Â
You turned to be face to face with Rafe. He was stalking down your wound, the blood flow not really stopping as the drops dripped down on the hardwood floor. His expression wasnât one of worry. But it wasnât one of detest either. It was just⊠emotionless.Â
âYeah no shit,â you muttered, looking down at your wound too.Â
âHere,â he said, fishing out his handkerchief from his pocket. âThis should help for the momentâŠâ he muttered as he gently took your hand and wrapped the handkerchief around your cut.Â
You looked at his hands working around your hand, covering up the cut. The pearly white cloth was quickly stained with a deep red of your blood, slowly spreading throughout the cloth.Â
âYou should get that checked once, just in case you need stitches,â he said, tying a knot to fix the cloth in its place. Just like his facial expression, his voice is also emotionless, monotone words leaving his lips.Â
âWhy are you doing this?â You couldnât help but ask, out of all the people, Rafe was there to help you with your wound.Â
âBecause youâre bleeding a little too much,â he said, taking a step back from you. His hands then buried in the pockets of his jeans as he shrugged at you.Â
You looked up in his icy blue eyes, not a single emotion in them. You werenât sure what to say, finding yourself to be quite stunned which was never really the case; whenever Rafe talked to you, you were always quick to talk back, never letting him be the one who said the last words.Â
âRight⊠thanks,â you muttered, looking down at the securely tied handkerchief around your hand.Â
âYeah,â he said with a nod of his head, and left you alone.Â
TWO â THE FAILED DATE
You clutched on the tablecloth out of utter anxiousness, your eyes darting around the room. You took a look at your watch for the umpteenth time, and saw that the time you were supposed to be meeting someone got farther and farther in the past with each passing second.Â
It had now been over an hour, the waiters had politely asked you if you would like to eat something, and all you asked for was a simple glass of water, because what if he shows up?
But now you could very clearly see that he wonât.Â
You had a date, which unlike the past dates you had been on, really excited you. You thought he was a nice boy, someone you met while you were buying some beer for you and your friends. You donât remember how the conversation started, but you both used to talk quite often, numbers exchanged and texts sent under the pale moonlight of 3 am.Â
He finally asked you out on a date, and you were thrilled, to say the very least. But now, here you were at a fancy restaurant on Figure 8 which you barely got to go to, absolutely impatient as your knee bounced up and down out of anxiousness and embarrassment.Â
You felt tears prick your eyes but you were quick to not let them fall, wiping them away from your waterline. You looked down in your lap, your fingers nervously pulling onto each other as the reality of being ditched settled in you. You took another look at your phone, desperate for any text, but there were no notifications.Â
But then, you felt the sunlight falling onto you from the window next to you being blocked by a huge shadow, and when you looked up, you saw Rafe.Â
Of course, Rafe, out of all the people.Â
He didnât say anything at first, just looked at you; your slightly red eyes and the tears accumulated in them didnât go unnoticed by him.Â
âWhy are you here all alone?â He asked you, still standing in front of you.Â
You just shook your head as a reply and picked up your belongings from the table. âItâs none of your business Rafe⊠Iâll just leaveâŠâ you muttered, but before you could do anything else, Rafe sat in the seat opposite to you.Â
He took a look at your outfit, noticing itâs something different than the attire youâre usually sporting, something more formal.Â
It didnât take him long to connect two and two together to figure out everything.Â
âYou got ditched huh?â He said silently. His tone came off condescending to you, even though he didnât mean to sound that way at all.Â
You mentally braced yourself to get embarrassed by him, ready to hear a comment or two from him, because thatâs what he did: say rude things to people, especially Pogues, because he felt like it.Â
But he didnât say anything.Â
Absolutely nothing.Â
You looked up at him, small streaks of tears had started making their way down. âI told you itâs none of your business,â you said, sniffling.Â
He only sighed as he leaned back in the chair, watched you carefully as your head hung low, silent sobs escaping you as you occasionally wiped away your tears.Â
âListen, itâs not your fault okay?â He mumbled. You looked up from your lap with your eyes filled with tears. âI know you must be feeling really bad right now, and there is nothing wrong about it, but donât think too much about it,âÂ
âI⊠I got ditched Rafe. I am sitting here all alone in this expensive restaurant crying my eyes out. How can I not think too much about it?â You whispered, your eyebrows creased together.Â
He leaned a bit closer to you. âIâm trying to make you feel betterâŠâ He said softly.Â
âWell,â you sniffled, looking away from him, âI didnât ask for it, okay?âÂ
These were the last words you said, before you got up from your chair and left the restaurant, whilst Rafe watched you walk away, wanting to hold your hand and to stop you, but he just couldnât.Â
THREE â THE BEACH CLEAN UP
You looked up at the sun, wiping the sweat off your forehead as you took in a deep breath. The summers only seemed to be getting hotter this time around, and the fact that you were at a beach clean up at noon was not helping your situation.Â
You liked to pick up work like beach clean ups in between your main job at the island club so you could make a little side money.Â
As you got back to picking up the trash from the beach, throwing it in the little basket youâre carrying with yourself, you looked up to hear some chatter besides the otherwise quiet beach and the other people working quite silently.Â
It was a group of Kooks â their expensive clothes and accessories shining under the bright rays of the sun completely unmissable. And in the group of them, a pair of electric blue eyes had its gaze fixed on you intensely.Â
You didnât even know why Rafe was there. Or why the other Kooks were there. They didnât have any need to participate in these kinds of jobs. Everything was just handed down to them, daddyâs money being what they thrive on.
You ignored them and got back to working, focusing on clearing the trash from the specific area of the beach you were at. Just a few minutes later you felt the sunlight being blocked by a huge shadow, and when you looked up, you saw Rafe right by your side, separated from his Kook friends.Â
You wanted to say something, but you werenât sure what, so you peeled your focus away from him and got back to picking up the trash and throwing it into the basket.Â
âHere,â he said almost suddenly, causing you to look up at him. âIâll hold it for you,â he gestured the basket in your hand, and even proceeded to hook two of his fingers into its side, holding onto it.
Before you could have protested, he gently pulled the basket from your hand, causing you to let go of it. You wouldnât lie, your basket had started to get heavy from the innumerable aluminum cans and other trash sitting in it.
âThanks,â you murmured under your breath and from the corner of your eye, you saw Rafe acknowledged you with a nod of his head.Â
For the next hour or so, you went around picking up the trash and Rafe followed you holding the basket for you as if it weighed nothing, and you kept on dropping the trash in it. It was oddly comfortable, the silence between you two as you werenât sure what to say â and frankly, you thought that was the best.Â
As the clean up came to an end, everyone was sitting in the sand, and light laughter and chatter filled the group. The afternoon had started to turn into evening, the bright rays of the sun turning into something more warm, more comforting instead of burning. You sat in the sand, leaning back on your forearms a little away from the rest, just letting the summer breeze blow past you gently.Â
Rafe sat down next to you, and held out something. You saw it was a glass of iced lemonade he got from the little surf shop.Â
âYou didnât have to,â you mumbled, eyeing the glass in his hand, the condensation on the surface causing water droplets to slide against the smooth glass.Â
âItâs okay,â he said. âYouâve worked all afternoon. Have it, itâs my treat.âÂ
You took another second or two before taking the glass from him, sipping on the cool, sour yet sweet liquid and allowing it to run down your throat. He remained seated next to you as you both watched the waves crash on the shore, the seagulls flying over and the sun only delving you into a comforting warmth more and more with each passing second, and slurped on your little lemony drinks.Â
FOUR â THE TIP
The day was slowly turning into dusk, the bright afternoon light leaving to welcome darker pink and orange streaks cast by the almost setting sun. This was the time when the island club started filling in more and more, the bar being one of the first parts of the club to get exceptionally occupied.
You were busy serving an older woman, your mind completely occupied to make the martini, when out of the corner of your eye, you caught the all too familiar gist of a head of dirty blonde curtain bangs.Â
You turned your head to meet Rafeâs blue eyes looking intently at you. The way he was focused on you, his gaze not wavering for even a fraction of a second, and the strong intensity behind them made you feel like the only girl on this planet. Though, of course, that feeling was short-lived when you were snapped out of your daze by a customer calling out for you.Â
You were quick to rush over to the customer, who had just finished the drink you had served him. He left the money for his drink where he was sitting and was already making his way out of the club.Â
You picked up the dollar bills to see he paid completely for the drink, but the tip wasnât even touching the bare minimum. You didnât know what the reason was, you had been kind to the customer, made his drink perfectly and served it on time, and even presented it as aesthetically as you could. Even then, your tip wasnât up to the mark. Sighing, you made your way over to the other end of the bar counter where you kept your tip jar, which coincidentally also happened to be where Rafe was sitting.Â
âEverything alright?â He asked, eyeing your woeful expression as you were putting the newly received âtipâ (if it can be even called that) in the jar. His eyes raked over the jar, and he couldnât help but find it a lot more empty than it should be.Â
âYeah everythingâs fine,â You mumbled, keeping the jar aside. You wiped your hands once on the towel slung in the loop of your apron before looking up at Rafe. âWhat can I get you?â You asked.Â
âA neat whiskeyâs fine,â He said and you nodded. You served him the neat whiskey, setting the glass right in front of him. He gave you an acknowledging nod and wrapped his fingers around the glass and bought it closer to his mouth, drinking from it.Â
You decided to work around the bar a bit, just cleaning everything up, preparing everything you may need in advance, practically anything you could get your hands at â because anything was better than having to talk to Rafe, who, by the way, didnât take his eyes off you for even a second. His gaze was firm and jaw was set as he just saw you work around the bar, silently sipping on his whiskey.Â
You kept yourself wonderfully distracted as you served the customers and prepared everything behind the bar, but every so often, your gaze would magnetically be pulled back to Rafe, and you would always catch him looking at you.Â
When you noticed Rafeâs almost done with his glass of whiskey, you made your way back to him.Â
âAnother one?â You asked, and he only silently nodded as his reply. You refilled his glass with the neat whiskey, and leaned back against the counter, just simply glancing around the scene of the bar and the club and catching a small break.Â
A silence fell over the two of you, the light chatter and the music playing in the club thrumming against your eardrums. Rafe was just silently sipping the whiskey, not saying or doing anything, just sitting there and having his drink.Â
âSo uh⊠youâre alone here tonight?â You asked, your words feeling cautious. âI mean, youâre usually here with Topper, or with someone, atleast,â
He set his almost finished glass at the counter, his fingers still wrapped around the clear glass. His gaze found yours, a warm blue instead of the usual icy one sinking into your eyes.Â
âTopper was busy,â He muttered, âso I came alone,â
You just quietly hummed at his words, and from the corner of your eye you saw one of your customers finishing their drink and leaving their money on the counter. You went to get it, and when you did, you saw itâs the same thing repeating itself: the âtipâ.Â
You sighed, slightly aggravated as you made your way back to where the top jar was, and dumped the money in it.Â
âWill it kill them to just pay something to their bartender?â You sighed, leaning against the counter and tilting your head back, closing your eyes for a moment. Your shift was close to coming to an end and if thatâs the money you had to go home with tonight, well, itâd be kind of fucked.Â
You could feel Rafeâs gaze on you, but he didnât say anything, just finished the last sip of his whiskey in a gulp. You were about to ask him for another refill, but you heard someone calling you out.Â
You turned around to see it was one of your coworkers, who told you were being called inside. You turned to look back at Rafe, but he just shook his head, and gestured to you to leave. You followed your coworker and went inside to where he was leading to.Â
After being freed from the quite useless meetup with your manager, you finally walked back out to the bar after 15 minutes. When you did, you saw Rafeâs stool was empty, and there was money kept on the counter.Â
You approached the counter, and the moment you saw the money, your eyes almost fell out from how wide they got.Â
Ten crisp hundred dollar notes sat unfolded on the marbled counter along with the money for the whiskey, and you couldnât believe your eyes. For a second, it felt unreal. You reached your hand out and your fingertips touched the paper, and you realised the money was real. You picked the notes up, your lips parted in shock as you gaze at them.Â
Rafe tipped you $1000.Â
1000 fucking dollars.Â
Your gaze immediately turned towards the exit of the bar, and of course, you couldnât spot Rafe â you had completely missed him.Â
You carefully kept the notes in your tip jar and sealed the jar shut. Through the glass, you couldnât remove your gaze from the notes, your mind now completely clouded with Rafe, and his tip.Â
ONE â THE BROKEN DOWN CAR
You let out a frustrated groan, kicking the tyre in utter vexation, which helped you release just the tiniest fraction of your rage. You fished out your phone from your pocket just to see it was nothing more than a dead device, serving you no purpose. You almost had the urge to throw the phone, but you stopped yourself at the right second, because you realized, you canât afford to hear the sound of the glass screen cracking.Â
Instead, you just kicked a pebble in your path and slumped against the side door of your beat up car which decided to stop working halfway across your journey from Figure 8 to the Cut. You were at the side of the road, watching other cars and vehicles pass by as you sat there on the roadside, not having a single clue on what to do.Â
10⊠15⊠20 minutes passed and you were still in the same position, not knowing what to do and not making any effort to find out either. The road fell silent a few minutes ago, no vehicles crossing, but the silence was short lived when you heard the revving of an engine from the distance, and it came to a stop right next to you.Â
An all too familiar red and black bike stood next to you, the riderâs face covered by the helmet. But the bike, the gold signet ring on the index finger of the left hand, and the taut muscles peeking from under the t-shirt were more than enough to confirm who it was.Â
The helmet came off and Rafeâs piercing blue eyes found yours.Â
âWhat happened?â He asked, getting off his bike as he ran a hand through his hair, his curtain bangs pushed back momentarily before they fell down on both the sides of his face in a ragged middle part just like always.Â
âMy car broke down,â you muttered as you looked up at him.Â
âHm.âÂ
He rounded around you and lifted the cover of the engine, holding it up with one hand as he inspected the engine carefully. You watched him intently, trying to figure out what the expressions on his face meant, but there werenât any to begin with. It was a face so cold and plain, suiting well with the cold blue eyes.Â
âThereâs some issue with the battery. You most probably need to get it replaced.â He declared, letting the cover fall back in its place.Â
âOh great,â you said, sarcasm dripping from your words as you threw your head back against the door of your car. âThatâll probably cost nothing, wonât it?âÂ
Rafe caught the sarcasm of your words very well but didnât comment anything, just wiped the dust off his hands as he gazed down at you.Â
âCome on,â you heard, and as you looked up, you saw he was holding his hand out for you. âYou were probably going back home yeah? Iâll drop you.âÂ
You opened your mouth to argue but he cut you off the next instant.Â
âNo ifs, or buts, or âRafeâs, you hear me? Youâre letting me drop you off, and are letting me take care of this,â he said, gesturing to your car. âIâll call a mechanic whoâll get your car towed from here and will work on it. Now come on, none of us have got all day.âÂ
By the end of his words, you knew whatever youâll do is equivalent to pointless, so you gave in. You gently held his hand and helped yourself up from the road, brushing a hand over your clothes as he led you to his bike parked aside.Â
Rafe put his helmet on top of your head and adjusted the strap, and you heard a faint click as it fixed in place. You wanted to ask âwhat about you?â when the only helmet was now sitting on your head, but you decided against it. He mounted the bike and gestured to you to do the same, revving the engine twice or thrice before taking off.Â
He was definitely faster than what you had expected, and you couldnât help it when you gripped the sides of his t-shirt, fisting the crisp material in your fingers to provide yourself some stability. For a second, he took one hand off the handlebar and reached for your hand scrunching his t-shirt. He gently took your wrist and you let go of the fabric in the process, allowing him to tug your hand and place it on his waist. Your other hand followed suit, and both of your arms were firmly wrapped around his waist. His hand landed back at the handlebar, and he only sped up more, the wind whipping past you at a phenomenal speed.Â
The ride to The Cut came to an end when Rafe reached your home, and you didnât want to admit to him or to yourself, but you felt it was short. The ride was nothing short of exhilarating, the wind whipping past your skin, and the way your arms found purchase around his waist gave you the comfort you needed.Â
You got off the bike, firmly planting your feet on the ground as you did so, and Rafeâs hand instinctively wrapped around your arm to make sure you remained stable. You carefully took off the helmet and handed it back to him.Â
âSo uh,â You muttered, clearing your throat subtly, âthanks for the ride. Really,â
He shook his head, kicking the stand of the bike in place and allowing it to lean on one side. âDonât worry,â He said, still sitting on the bike.Â
âYou, you really didnât have to,â You said, your fingers intertwined with each other behind your back.Â
âAnd do what? Leave you alone at the side of the road? With a broken down car and a dead phone?â Rafe sighed. âI wasnât gonna do that y/n, you know that,â
You know that.Â
Yeah you do.Â
You swallowed the thick lump in your throat as a small silence fell over you two as none of you said anything, and you kept on contemplating how you could possibly return such a massive favor.Â
âYouâŠâ You began, your voice low, the words on the tip of the tongue feeling experimental, âyou wanna come inside for a moment?â
Rafeâs response didnât come out the very next second, and that small pause felt like years to you.Â
âSure,â He said, getting off his bike. You let out a sigh of relief and nodded, leading him towards your place.Â
âItâs nothing bigâŠâ You muttered as you climbed up the stairs of the porch and he followed suit, watching you unlock the front door. âBut itâs home, I guess.â
Knowing he had grown up in the richest part of the island, surrounded by everything he could possibly need and want, you had a feeling heâd definitely make some snarky comment. Cause isnât that what he did? Rafe Cameron: the Kook prince, but also the biggest asshole?
But he was completely silent when he followed you inside and only quietly sat down on the couch you led him to, which you definitely were shocked to see, but nevertheless you didnât really let it show on your expressions.Â
âSo uhâŠâ you began to speak, wanting to break through the awkward air around you two, âanything youâd like? Water? Or some tea maybe?âÂ
He shook his head silently, and a moment later, gestured to the empty seat next to him.Â
âCome sit,â he said, words simple and direct, no beating around the bush, just like always.Â
You took a sweet moment to let his words settle in you, but when you did, you walked up to the couch and sat down next to him, a small distance maintained between the two of you. Your gaze remained fixed on your shoes, your hands perfectly intertwined in your lap, and your habit of pulling onto them â something which only tended to happen you felt really anxious â came back.Â
The awkward air was around you two again, settling over you two like a blanket that is way too warm for hot weather, making you feel uneasy and has got you squirming for any sort of cooling.Â
âWhy do you do that?â
There it was.Â
It was out.Â
You blabbered out the question as if it meant nothing, when in reality, it carried so much more weight than you could possibly ever imagine.Â
When you were met with silence for a moment, you looked up, and saw Rafe sitting with his hands on his knees, his own gaze fixed at something on the floor. What was it exactly â you couldnât tell.Â
When he still didnât speak anything, you decided to take the chance.Â
âYouâre always⊠there for me, in one way or the other. You patched my hand up at that party weeks ago, when you couldâve just ignored the situation. You saw me crying to myself when my date didnât show up and came up to me when you couldâve just ignored the situation. You helped me at the beach clean up and carried my heavy bin for me when you couldâve ignored the situation. You saw my lack of tips and paid me a massive one when you couldâve ignored the situation. You couldâve always ignored the situation, Rafe. Just like you always do with the other Pogues. With them, you donât care for even a damn second. But⊠why are you doing so much for me?âÂ
The silence kept on greeting you, and you could feel yourself beginning to get impatient. Your gaze flickered over Rafe, and you didnât miss the way he flexed his fingers over his knee, as if gripping it tightly.Â
âI, I donât knowâŠâ He mumbled weakly. You had never heard his voice take such a softer tone. Itâs as if you didnât even know it existed.Â
âWhatâ what do you mean you donât know?â You sighed, turning your body a bit so you could face him. âThatâs fucking ridiculous Rafe!â
âItâs not ridiculous I just canât explain it the way you wish I couldââ
âWell you should be able to cause I need explanationsââ
âNot everything can be given a logical explanation come onââ
âYes it can if you try hard enoughââ
âI care for you okay!â
His words were loud, much louder than any of his previous words. Their loudness and conviction shut you up right at that moment, your eyes widening, and your lips slightly parted as you stared at him with a look of disbelief in your eyes.Â
âIâI Rafe began, running a hand through his messy bangs, and you had to control the urge to run your own fingers through them and gently push them out of his eyes, âI donât know why, but I just canât stand the thought of you being hurt, or being sad, or going through any discomfort. I just canât okay? Each time I see you that way Iâ I immediately get to solving it cause I canât bear to see you all troubled. I donât want to see a single scratch on your skin orâ or a single furrow in your brow I just⊠want to see you happy. Cause you look... so so pretty when youâre smiling, y/n, itâs⊠itâs unexplainable,â
A silence fell over you two as you let his words sink in you, which was a lot harder than youâd like, but you were doing it.Â
âAnd i just⊠wish that one day⊠youâd smile that pretty smile of yours because of me,â He murmured, âbecause I made you smile,â
You could see Rafeâs own words taking a massive toll on him, just as it was taking on you. You parted your lips to say something but you were just so horribly stumped, you couldnât utter a single word.Â
He ran a ragged hand through his hair once again and stood up, clearing his throat.Â
âI should leave now,â He muttered, standing in front of your seated form but not facing you, but instead facing the door. Your own gaze was fixed at the floor, and you could hear your heartbeat thumping loudly in your eyes, his words repeating over and over like a broken record in your mind.Â
You didnât say anything to stop him, so Rafe silently walked out the door, closing it behind himself with a silent click.Â
You were left all alone in your living room, Rafeâs weighted words lying heavy on your heart and mind, and the distant noise of his bikeâs engine revving a bitter reminder that he wasnât next to you anymore.Â
Just two days later, when you woke up in the morning and looked out your window, you saw your car parked. Not only was the battery replaced, a whole paint job was done, the ripped car seats were replaced with some fancy leather, the tyres were exchanged for upgraded ones, and for a second, you didnât even recognise your own car.Â
You noticed a piece of paper held in place by the windshield wiper, and when you went outside and took the piece of paper and unfolded it, you saw a small phrase scrawled in black against the white of the paper.Â
donât mention it. â R.C.
EPILOGUEÂ Â
You let out a deep sigh as you watch him laugh, patting his friendâs arm in the process. A smile of pure contentment crosses your face, watching the rays of the bright, afternoon sun hit his bare skin and making it shine, his muscles seeming more pronounced than ever.Â
You watch him turn around and glance at you over his shoulder, his smile wide as he gives you a flying kiss. You canât help but chuckle at the endearing action, causing you to send one his way too. He lifts up two fingers in the form of a peace sign and gestures to his friend next to him, silently conveying to you that he will be by your side in just two minutes. You give him an understanding nod and watch his head turn back to the front, getting delved into the conversation with his friend again.Â
You sip on your drink as you lean your head back, the sound of the boat rushing past the waves of the ocean filling your ear drums deeply. You close your eyes and just listen to the sound of waves, your mind shutting out the chitter chatter of the conversations of the other people on this boat.Â
Soon enough you feel the sunlight being blocked and as you open your eyes, you see him standing right in front of you, a smile on his face. The chain around his neck along with the little gold capital letter of your initial hanging from it catches the sunlight and gleams more than it usually does. He sits down next to you and silently wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you into his side. You smile as you lean into him, your fingers going immediately to fiddle with the chain, feeling the edges of the cool gold initial under your fingertips.Â
You take a glance up at him, running your other hand along the side of his now buzzed head, feeling the short, prickly hair gently tickle your fingers.Â
âAre you having a good time so far?â He mutters softly, pressing a gentle kiss to your temple, your head tucking in the crook of his neck.Â
âYeah, yeah I am,â you say quietly, your fingers mindlessly continuing fiddling with the gold initial on his chest. âYou?â You ask, slightly lifting your head up from his neck.Â
âOh, the absolute best time,â He says softly, looking down at you with a gentle smile on his face. âWeâre on our boat, and Iâm with my gorgeous girlfriend, what else could I need?â
You canât help but softly chuckle at his words, silently shaking your head as you lean your head against his shoulder again and resume fiddling with the chain. You do it often, almost each time you get your hands on him, and he loves it; feeling the occasional brush of your fingers against his skin and the gentle tugs on the chain.Â
He allows you to relax against him completely, his arms around you to keep you close to him as you both sit silently, only the sound of the water and the light chatter of your friends accompanying you two.Â
âThank you,â Rafe says softly, his fingertips tracing gentle patterns on your shoulder.Â
You furrow your brows at his words, slightly confused, as you look up at him. âWhat for?â You ask.Â
Rafe only keeps on gazing at you, a gentle smile pulling his lips. He quietly shakes his head, and with a gentle pull, he allows you to rest against him again.Â
âNothing.â He stays quiet for a moment. âEverything.âÂ
Your own lips canât help but upturn in a small smile too. âWell, in that caseâŠâ you murmur, leaning back to look up at him, one hand coming to rest against his cheek as you gently caress the soft skin, and you slowly lean in, pressing your lips to his in a sweet kiss.Â
âThank you,â you mumble softly against his lips. Rafeâs hands grip your waist and he pulls you closer, not letting you pull back from the kiss. His fingers splay across your back as he kisses you, his lips moving in an unhurried, tender motion against yours.Â
A moment or so later, he pulls back, his eyes opening by just a fraction. You let your arms hook around Rafeâs neck, keeping him close to you.Â
âYouâre the only one for me, Rafe,â you mumble quietly. âYouâre the only one Iâll ever want.âÂ
He leans his head against you and takes a deep breath, your scent and the smell of the ocean around you filling his nostrils deeply.Â
You both let the moment just simply sink in you, the sun rays bathing you in the warmest light, along with the presence of each other, which might be warmer than the sun any time of the day.Â
âOnly you, my girl,â he mumbles quietly. âAlways and forever.âÂ

Character(s): Richard (Original character / Original work)
Synopsis: He always wanted a perfect family, but life never gave him what he wanted. Instead, he was blackmailed into marrying a gold digger. But after seeing you for the first time the wife of his friend all he could think of was you. So don't mind him when he was given the option to swap his wife's consciousness with yours he took that chance immediately.
Warnings/tags: Yandere Dilf x meek reader, yandere pov, general yandere themes, body swap between reader and Yandere's wife, cheating (not done by reader), arranged, baby trapping, Yandere wants that traditional wife and lifestyle. Word count: 4.2k (Please tell me if I miss anything!)
Note: I just finished reading the webtoon "Marry My Husband," so you can probably see many small ideas taken from it in this story!
Ever since he was young, Richard had fantasies and dreams of a perfect family. He always loved the idea of someone relying on him just as much as he would on them, and someone who would love him exclusively and trust him completely. Maybe that was why he liked wolves, having been told back then that those animals would mate for life. He liked that. He wanted that. Friends were nice there is nothing wrong with that. But there is something about a family that he wanted. Maybe it was because he was jealous back then of how affectionate his grandparents were between each other, while his parents were far from that.
That was what he wanted and well maybe he started to want a little more the older he got. He wanted what his grandparents had, he wanted what the movies had⊠he wanted what his fantasies had. He loved the idea of a family, coming back from work to an affectionate housewife with her tummy big inside a second or third child while holding the first. The idea of kisses between each other, while his lover irrupts in giggles, playfully pushing him back telling him that he should not let the food turn cold or let the kids see them.
Someone he could spoil and give everything to while she relied on him and his money. He would work hard every day just for her and the kids, to give them the home they deserve. She would give back by cooking and cleaning the house, anybody knows that those things are hard work and everything takes time. But she would do it for the both of them, for him.Â
Yet he wasn't able to attain that dream. He wasn't allowed to have it. He attracted the attention of a viel woman, who had used any and every blackmail to tie him down to her. He was a manager at a big company already quickly climbing up but also came from a rich family, he unwantedly got the attention of a woman who was greedy for money and something handsome.Â
And her own manager was ripe for the picking.
She did many things but somehow he was able to avoid many of them however that could only go on for so long. She was cunning, too smart for her own good. He didn't know how she did it, it made him furious at what she did waking up in a hotel with her right beside him. He had no memories of the night yet she did when she told everyone that she had his baby a month later.
Everyone was frantic, his parents especially who cared so much about their appearance and reputation than anything else. While he hated them for the lack of love or care only forcing him to their whims to get a word above their acquaintances and rivals. The idea of him their own son mudding their name with the fact that he got someone pregnant without marriage made them furious. They wanted him to marry her immediately and he had no choice not when they held his job, reputation, and life above him not when that woman too did the same with her connections and people behind the scenes. It was idiotic that he fell into her hands like this, no matter what he did she did not let go and sank her claws deep into his skin.
Richard wanted to know if this child was his, but there was no time when everybody demanded his and that woman didn't give him a chance to check. Only to cry after the marriage that the child from miscarriage due to stress from his selfishness. Many blamed him even though he knew that she was lying this whole time but no matter what he said her crocodile tears worked far better than any explanation.
He was furious, angered by everything that happened but he wasn't allowed to do anything he wasn't allowed to break up with her. His life, everything that he worked for had turned to nothing by this woman. She could care less about love or something genuine and only cared about his money, demanding that he give her money to go shopping to buy expensive brand items and clothing while also going to parties and bars with her friends coming back home late leaving only a mess with how drunk she was.
Some days she would not come home at all and he assumed that she was with another man, as he didn't give in to her sexual demands even if they were husband and wife. At this point, the idea of touching her body even her hand disgusted him.
He thought he lost everything, he felt hopeless when he could not break up with that woman who made sure that he could not have a divorce without destroying his reputation and paying her a huge amount of cash. She was insane.
Rather than be with her he would rather drown in his work in his office. The house smelled like her strong perfume that could only make his head hurt the moment he took one whiff of it even though that woman wasn't even in the house having already left to head to the next new bar that opened up in the city.
That was his life, he genuinely thought that this was his ending, a story that didn't end so well, yet unable to change anything with knives around his neck daring him to move. But in the end, nothing is concrete, sometimes all it takes is helping an old lady who just so happens to be a fortune teller.Â
Typing away at his computer late at night in his office as he looked at the time, his thoughts could not help but let his thoughts drift for a moment. Richard closed his eyes slightly burning from looking at the laptop for too long. Leaning his chair, he pulled his tie down a little as he thought about this afternoon when he helped out a poor fortune teller the old woman after picking some stuff up at the market, who looked to be in her 80s stuck outside homeless and struggling to open her shop. As she had dropped something that had rolled towards him he picked it up and gave it to the old lady. He didn't know what moved him to help her. But as a present, he had gotten a small viel.
"Thank you for your help. You are quite the hard worker." The old woman said, sitting on the chair when everything was finally set up. She looked at him with a sly smile on her face. The old woman he later realized had a way of speaking, that wasn't normal. Weird yet at the same time sharp... too sharp. âToo bad you are stuck with such a mean spirit woman. How you handle such a woman for so long now⊠I am impressed.â Sharp as in she knew too much than he would have liked for a stranger to know.
"Buahahaha, don't worry boy this would be the last you would ever hear from me after this." The old woman laughed at his stiff glare. He didn't know how she did it but she seemed to know a lot about his relationship with his wife and the trouble that he was in yet at the same time she had a knack for poking at his sore spots.Â
Before Richard could think about calling the police she suddenly pulled out a vial inside containing a blue liquid, "You help me with my little trouble so I want to give you a little something, that could help you with your own little trouble. Besides, I couldn't resist helping someone in need.âÂ
âA little swap potion, let your wife and your sweetheart drink it and they will swap at the start of the next day. The lil spell would wear off in a month but if there is nothing to return to⊠well then that means nothing could even happen. Dont yah think so boy? Haha!â He took the vial from the lady, thinking about throwing it when she was nowhere in sight. The creepy grin didn't match her so-called kind action, but she was not finished with talking.
âYou better move fast my boy, that woman will make sure you will be dead before a year. It is very easy to hide evidence with a car crash.â
After that, it was difficult to throw the thin vial. Part of him could not drop the liquid into the bin, so he stored it on his office desk, locked but with a key, along with other important documents and such.
"Richard!! Why did you not show up at the dinner party?! Do you know how much embarrassment you have caused me?" his wife screamed. He couldn't help but groan in annoyance the moment he walked through the entrance. It was too early in the morning for such screaming, but she just continued on and on: "And why are you here now?!! It is the next day!? Explain yourself!"
"I don't need to explain myself to you at all." Walking past his wife who was glaring daggers at him. The more he learned about his wife the more he realized that she was similar to his parents, cared only about reputation, and was selfish putting themselves first before anything else. Hypocrites. "I had to finish up some work so I stayed at my office. I needed to finish all the file work before the meeting." Unlike a certain someone who would come home the next day afternoon after being in someone else's arms.Â
Walking into his own home, he could not recognize it... everything was thrown about and trashed everywhere. Expensive decorations on the floor and shattered. Sofa and pillows ripped letting cotton spill from them. Walls wet and dirty with glass cups, and pots of plants shattered on the floor. Looking at everything he kept his anger internally holding everything in as he continued to walk towards his office and bedroom locked with a key.
This wasn't the first time this happened, he had found out that there was no use to teaching someone who saw no reason to change her ways. He just needs to call in some cleaners, replace the things that broke and that was it.
Heading to his home office to place his bag on the table he suddenly received a text on his phone. Pulling out the device to check who it was while the woman continued to scream at him.
"That doesn't explain why you didn't tell me you couldn't join the dinner!" It was because she wouldn't listen, no matter what. If he had told her, she would have either demanded that he come or screamed at himâfirst on the phone, then again when he got home. "Answer your phone when I call! Are you even listening to me?!"
He knew of the calls and messages. She had been calling non-stop and texting for an hour since he didn't come to her friends' dinner. He just didn't care to answer and left it on mute to let him focus on his work. Looking at the sender he couldn't help but sigh.
"Hey, I am talking to you!" Her shrill screaming was mind-numbing as he got his clothes unable to stand her voice and would rather change elsewhere. "RICHARD!!!"
He quickly left the house and got into his car, ignoring the high-heeled shoe that was thrown at himâmissing as it landed. Starting the engine, he drove off, tuning out her shouts.
It was past midnight, and he was alone on the road. No one else was in sight. As he waited at a red light, he pulled out his phone to check a message. It was from a "friend" he had made at university, inviting him to dinner the next day. The guy had always been friendlyâor at least tried to be. He had the personality of a know-it-all, and while he didnât care for him much, it seemed the guy had once considered them friends. That was until money and popularity got to his head.
The guy knew a lot and had multiple connections and friends, he was the one who helped him find a cleaner will to keep silent about everything that happened in the house after the housemaid quit due to his wife assuming that he and the maid had done something sexual in the bedroom. The woman was crying as her hair had been pulled and her face slapped by his wife.
He also had seen the lust in that friend's eyes whenever he looked at her. Even after the guy was married for over a year he still looked at another wife with lust, it was disgusting to Richard that his friend would do such a thing but as the guy had helped him with a few of his troubles he didn't just cut him away.
The message was an invite for a double date. Having just left his house and his furious wife behind (not that he would ever take her anywhere unless absolutely forced), he tried to decline, saying that his wife was a bit "busy."
[Dude, dont worry about it and just come then.]
[Won't it be awkward for your wife?]
[It doesn't matter she would just say that it is fine either way.]
[Don't leave me here with her. You have already talked with her either way it is not a problem anymore. ]
From what he remembered it seemed that it was an arranged marriage between the two. Something that was decided by their parents for the benefit of their companies. The guy absolutely hated the fact that he was pushed into this marriage and had nothing good to say about his wife but that was a goody two shoes and boring. "She lacks the wildness that I am looking for." The guy said he was drinking in a bar one time having called him to express his frustrations after an official meeting with her. "She probably doesn't know anything except how to clean dishes.â
"I would not leave the house with a babe like yours. How do you keep everything in your pants?" The guy asked too drunk from all the alcohol to be careful with his words. "You might like my fiance a lot with your uptight attitude and lack of fun. Maybe we should switch wives later. Hey, wanna wife swap one time? It would be fun~~."
He had ignored the very obvious lust in the guyâs eyes, choosing not to address it and instead steer the conversation elsewhere. In the end, between hiccups, the guy told him heâd introduce him to his future wife and insisted that he should come to the wedding.
A few days later, with the invitation in hand, he attended the wedding. There, he saw the guyâs wifeâand he was absolutely floored.
It was just a moment. A fleeting glimpse. He caught sight of her for only a second, walking toward his friend across the hall. Through the open door of the bride's room, he saw her, and he froze.
She was stunning.
He could not believe that a woman like you would become the wife of the guy. He wanted to take a step back to see you again, yet when his wife called him he was forced to start walking again not wanting to cause a scene due to her fickle pride.Â
After all, he could see you again on the walkway when the wedding starts.
But he didn't want to leave either way.
Seated on the husband's side as the music stopped hinting to the guest that it was about to start soon. He watched as his friend walked the aisle, knowing but not commenting on the dirty slutish look his wife was giving to the guy looking at him up and down and waiting for you to show up.
You arrived soon after, dressed elegantly and sophisticated holding bouquets of flowers. He noticed how pretty you were, your walk and movements were elegant and soft, a far cry to his wife who walked to call the men's attention dressed a little too revealing for the formal occasion.
Would he have married a woman like you if this wench hadnât come to destroy his life? Would he have married you if your parents and your friendâs family hadnât forced the two of you into it? If this wasnât some kind of mask, and this really was you, he wouldnât have any complaints about being stuck with you. In fact, he would have demanded itâforced it, if he could. But that wasnât how life turned out... You were not his.
The wedding soon came to an end and that was it. Legally you were tied to his friend while he was already stuck with his own problems. It wasn't fair. He just couldn't let it go as he stayed in his seat even after the end of the wedding speech as everybody started to leave to eat and dance. While his wife went to meet up with the groom he stayed where he was just thinking.
How surprised he was that he ended up meeting you so soon.
The guy had invited him to dinner a few times and he quickly understood that it was to have someone else in the group after the guy was forced by his parents to take you out a few times. But that didn't matter to him when he was finally able to talk to you, to chat with you.
When he reached the restaurant, the guy stood up after a small conversation, stating that he needed to run to the bathroom, take a call, or use some other excuse he had up his sleeve. He left the table for as long as possible only to come back near the end with maybe a lipstick on his shirt or something. And if Richardâs wife was there, the guy would start subtlety flirting with his wife, uncaring if he or his own wife was there, not that the woman herself cared.
He pitied you, as you kept on your smile even when your eyes swirled with an understanding of your place, yet at the same time, you were still so hurt. You were silent for the most part keeping to yourself.
You and he become rather close but not really, it was a kind of comradery of your situations or that was what he would like to think. Whenever you and him were left alone, rather than keep the awkward air around he would start to talk to you.
You were a little flustered at first but slowly you started to get used to talking with him. Chatting amicably as if enjoying the conversation between you and him. He also did enjoy conversing with you. No heavy topics, it wasn't business or anything to do with work but stuff like traveling, hobbies, and favorite food. The things that you would like to do if you only had the time or chance to do them.Â
You weren't loud but you were delicate, gentle, and easy to fluster too. You were polite and careful with your words but also curious asking him many questions when he talks about his own stories. You would keep all your attention on him, even if he noticed you didn't seem maybe that interested in a topic or two.
There was one time he went to your apartment, an invitation from your husband who invited him and his wife. Your place was in a high-end apartment probably paid by the family, with decorations that were chic and modern but there was also a homely feeling to the place, cleaned and cared for with love, unlike his messed up house. The smell of the house was similar to that of a fragrant laundry detergent instead of strong perfume. Just for a moment, he realized that you were the one who did all this when he saw you coming out from the kitchen unwrapping the apron you were wearing.
Just for a moment you gave him an actual vision of a home, a vision of what he wanted so much and could have had yet was taken away from him. You gave him a vision of what it would be like to have a wife who cares so much.Â
He could not help but crumble and fall.
He started to crave for you, the more he chatted with you the more he fell every night he fantasized about you in his arms. He wished... he craved for you so much that he thought he started having delusions that you were his. At night, he couldnât close his eyes without seeing you clearly in the darkness.
But you just had to break everything, you just had to slam a hammer to his dreams and fantasies just like everyone else.
"I'm sorry," you said, a sorrowful smile on your lips. "I know my husband is using you to get out of our date. I apologize for taking up your time when you're so busy. Please, Iâll make sure this doesn't happen again. You donât have to come every time he asks you to. Iâm sure youâre busy too."
Why...? Why did you say that? He thought you knew that he already understood. He thought you knew that it didnât bother him at allâespecially when you both always had such enjoyable conversations. Why did you apologize? Why would you tell him to stop coming? Why were you pushing him away?
Your eyes looked at him in sorry and guilt and it clicked you were scared you were so scared that something wrong might happen. Because in the end, you were loyal, loyal to a man who didn't even love you.
It made him livid.Â
Even if you thought you knew more than he did, he was the one who knew more. He knew well what your husband does on nights that he isn't home, where he goes, and what he does there. In Richardâs own house, he could hear the sounds of two people with familiar voices thinking they were alone.Â
His wife and your husband.
You didn't know that, while you probably knew that he partied every day you seemed to have hope that he didn't have the audacity to lay in bed with another married woman much less the wife of his own friend. He didn't care who that guy lay with, but it made him irritated that a guy like him had you.
That appointment ended up awkward. Too awkward as both of you waited for your husband to arrive. The guy knew something was up the moment he arrived but seemed to choose not to say anything having enough tack not to right at that moment when he usually didn't.
Looking at the message again he sighed declining the invite again even when the guy tried to put up a fuss. It was just that he could not face you right now, not when you made it clear that all you felt towards him was guilt.
If only it was you... if only he had found you first if that woman didn't chain herself to him using blackmail and connections.
If he could just swap his wife with you he would have been happier... he would have the life he wished he had and he would spoil you with all his love and time. While you would wait oh so lovingly for him while cooking and cleaning while he worked to bring the money to keep you happy materially. He would be a better husband than your own and he already knew that you would be a far more better wife than his own.
But you just had to draw that line. That line of law and morality.
Watching the road as he drove, he could not help but let annoyance fester him at this whole situation till he saw a poster pass by him. Purple with a familiar design that he saw just this morning. Something to do with a certain fortune teller who knew a little too much and who gave him a small vial.
Truthfully he didn't believe in such things, but part of him had become so desperate that he just could not think straight. He was desperate and he knew that the old woman knew that and was laughing at him for it.
"Here yah go. This is a little something that would have cost a shit ton but I am gonna give it to you for free." The old woman cackled, she was having way too much fun knowing his situation. "If you plan to add this to a drink don't worry about the colour at all."
He didn't believe in such things. But there was a whisper in his mind a little spell in his brain that told him that this would work. That there was something different about that mad woman who probably lived only in entertainment.
His hand moved before he could even think about it, accepting the dinner invitation as he finally reached his office. It was supposed to be closed, but a few employees were pulling an all-nighter, so the building wasn't locked. In his mind, all he could think about was the life he once dreamed ofâthe life that had been taken away from him. All he wanted was a life with you, and that thingâthat vialâwould be the answer to all his problems.

can you write a pit fighter vi smut fic where the reader works at a restaurant in zaun and vi comes in drunk and starts flirting with her pretty please đŒ
Thank you sm for the request:3 hope you enjoy!
Content: 1.5k words, dub-con (Vi is drunk), casual sex, use of strap-ons (r! recieving), oral sex (r! receiving), slight overstimulation, this is rlly filthy blame anonymous for giving me the ammo to write this
Your hands are busy with several plates and your feet are sore in your shoes. Customers in Zaun have no decorum, either!
Being a waitress is not fun, especially not in a dingy restaurant like "The Sludge Pit." It's where most people are coming back from watching fights next door and want a cheap meal. To say that you hate you job is an understatement. But...money is tight, so choices are limited. It could be worse. You could be a prostitute at Babette's.
You've heard rumors that the fight tonight is going to be huge. There's a recently been a new fighter people have been placing bets on - a girl named Vi. You've heard the name before, of course. Jinx's sister, someone who was involved with a Piltie girl. You hated to get involved with all of the drama in Piltover, though; it was all meaningless. It was all just pointless drama that ended in another person in Zaun getting the short end of the stick or dead without a proper burial. Whatever happened was so hard to care about when it felt like an everyday thing.
However, something about the girl you've been hearing rumors about intrigued you. It is apparently often that this Vi chick is bulldozing men in the ring, getting drunk off her ass, and fucking Babette's whores. She got her heart broken, now she's all bitter, and you can't help but wonder what this girl is even like. What could she possibly be like when she's this well-known in the under-city?
It's around midnight. The fight is over because a huge crowd is occupying The Sludge Pit. You've got your poor hands full, tasked with scribbling down rude men's orders and serving them. Some are fucking creepy, too. You wonder if the Vi girl will be coming in tonight, but your curiosity is suddenly dashed when you hear the restaurant BOOMING with cheers from the main area.
When you walk out of kitchen, the first thing you see is the back left table seated with a black-haired girl. She's got no shirt on, just bandages that hug her body and a leather jacket. Her jeans are tightly fitted, sculpted onto her meaty things. The black pigment on her face is all messy. Next to her is a burly brunette man, facial hair covering most of his face. You've seen him before - "Loris."
When you approach Vi's table, she looks up at you and lets out a slight laugh. You look devourable, your hair back in two braids, fly-aways from the day's work. Your eyes are wide, and you look pretty terrified. Poor waitress. She's already decided that you're gonna be her next slut.
"Hi! I'll be your waitress today, what can I get for you-" Your voice is so shaky, oh fuck.
Usually, Vi wouldn't be so forward, but she just got back from the bar. There's too much liquid courage in her system, so now she's gonna get what she wants.
"Don't worry 'bout me, baby. Get my friend Loris here a burger."
You almost choke on your own spit.
Her voice isn't at all what you expected, not raspy or deep, but actually soft and persuasive. She's slurring her words slightly, but you're too focused on her eyes, the soft blue sparkle in them and the half-lidded, carefree look that is complimentary.
"Uhhh, okay! One burger coming right up!"
You soon come back with a shaky hand, plate in your palm. You set the burger down and look up down, adjusting your waitress skirt.
"One burger!"
Vi gives you a wide, lazy smile. Loris is just laughing, he's probably as drunk as her.
"Thanks, baby. How much will that be?"
"Ohhh....well, it's on the house. Since you won tonight, and all.." All rationale seems to leave you when Vi's calling you baby. Your boss is gonna chew you out for this, but the drunken giggle that leaves her mouth is so worth it.
"On the house? No, baby..c'mon, lemme pay."
You laugh and blow a stray strand of hair out out of your face. Her voice makes you imagine her throwing you around on your bed. "No, really, it's fine.."
"Hm..well, if you're not gonna let me use my money, why don't I pay you back in some other way?"
You stare at her for a second.
"What...?"
She chuckles at the cute but shocked look on your face. "Seriously. I wanna pay you back for the burger, since you're such a cute little waitress.."
She's got you in her twin-sized bed as she pounds into you at a pace you're surprised doesn't break the bed. You look utterly cock-drunk underneath her as her hips slam into yours: eyes practically rolled back into your noggin, whining on each and every thrust she gives your sopping pussy. Fuck, she's already obsessed with you.
Her hands are holding the back of your knees to keep you in position, and she pulls the cock halfway out of your pussy and slams back in, earning herself a wounded squeal from you.
"That's it, baby. Take all of my cock like a good girl," she coos, her eyes moving down to watch the hot-pink silicone disappear in your pretty pussy, and she's almost drooling at the sight.
"P-Please!! Please fuck me, oh my god!" You're screaming for her (soon you'll be creaming), and all Vi can think is how she wants to lick the cum out of your pussy when she's done plowing into you.
She laughs and spreads you legs back so she can hitch them around her own waist, still throwing sloppy thrusts into you. Your legs automatically wrap around her sides and she collapses onto your body, mouth wet and lazy on your throat. She's hardly thrusting now, just grinding up into your cunt like a dog in heat.
"Ohhh, fuckkk...this is the best pussy I've had in so fucking long, did you know that?" She's whimpering like she's not the one slinging strap..
You can't even answer with a proper response, only offering up a broken moan because in this position, the cockhead of the toy is bullying your sweet, spongey spot and making you see stars. By grinding into you, the base of the harness is catching on Vi's clit perfectly, making her her pace grow less and less composed She's fucking you like a touch deprived cave-man, for fuck's sake.
You hear feel her body tense up, and now she's pounding into you, each time your skin connects her body is pressing further into your, grinding her pussy against the harness, making you whine her name.
"You want me to cum inside you, huh? I bet you'd just love that. Wish I actually could cum inside this sweet little pussy." Her words grow more and more deranged the longer she's fucking you, and they send you right over the edge with a gasp and a cry out. For mercy, or for bliss, she isn't able to tell.
You poor legs are shaking around her waist and your voice is chanting her name like a prayer along with cute little cries of "I'm cumming for you, Violet!!" You indeed did cum, your face all flushed and your hips bucking up into hers, making her own cunt clench with need as she hits her own peak. She kisses you to swallow your sweet whines, tongue sliding against yours so you can taste the Vodka on it. She's just rutting into your pussy, and she swears she can feel your walls milking her cock like it's real. The alcohol in her system really does make her delusional.
When she's done, she pulls out of you and throws the strap-on somewhere in the floor, immediately moving down your body to suck the cum out of your tender hole.
You whine and protest, "V-Vi!! Too sensitive!"
She moves her lips to give your clit a firm suck and holds you legs open, "shh, just need to clean you up first.."
Her tongue moves to fuck your pussy as deeply as it can, filling you with the hot, wet muscle, and grazing your overstimulated g-spot until you're begging for mercy and she relented to go swirl around your previously neglected clit.
Her hands are groping your tits, your own tugging at her shitty dye-job as you buck your hips up in the air for more. She doesn't stop, giving you exactly what you want, sucking at your engorged clit and flicking it shamelessly with her tongue.
"Fuckk, V-Vi!! I'm gonna cum again!!"
Your juices paint her face so perfectly, mixing in with her black make-up and making an even bigger mess of your sopping cunt. She pulls back to see your face all red, soft little pants leaving your lips, and your chest heaving like you just ran a marathon. You look perfectly ruined, your hole still wrecked from the cock she fucked you with and your braids messed up into oblivion, but you look satisfied. She really paid you back for that burger, didn't she?
Safe to say, The Sludge Pit is her favorite place to find a meal at.

More to it
I just love friends to lovers. ~900 words
Thinking about BSF!Jason Todd and how neither of you are willing to cross that line. You're both balancing on what's more and what isn't, both desperate for something you're not willing to name but so scared to risk losing it all.
What you have now is comfortable, safe, and if being more doesn't work? Could you ever go back to what you had? Is the reward really worth playing with fate?
It's honestly so dumb because it's obvious you're both a thread snap away from breaking the growing tension between you. You see the way his fingers twitch towards you when you walk past him, and he catches the way your breath hitches when he tilts his head down to meet your eyes.
You'd have to blind not to notice the way his gaze locks onto you from across the room. He'd have to be oblivious to not see how your knees go weak when he laughs at your jokes. You're locked in each other's gravity, drawn in by way your hearts slot together without the need for words.
Everyone already thinks you're together, even when you say you're not. There's no hiding the lovestruck look in either of your faces, the way he drapes his arm over your shoulder, the way you lean into his side like it's the only place in the world you want to be.
His family doesn't tease you as much about it anymore. Sometimes, you wish they would, even for the excuse to talk about it. There's no label between you other than he's your best friend. And maybe it doesn't need to be more. (But you'd like it to be)
Even strangers think you're together. The guy flirting with you is quick to turn on his heel with an apology on his lips at the sight of Jason. Worse is, you don't hate it. If anything, you like it.
There's almost a pride in it, how people fawn over how cute you and him are together. Neither of you ever correct them, even if you should, and it only continues to blur the line between friend and more.
But when you both finally break? You break hard. It's feverish, your fingers fisted into clothes and his hands cradling your face. You're not even sure what caused it or who moved first. You don't even bother to try to figure it out when he presses you against the wall to kiss you deeper.
It could have been the way you'd reached out to brush his hair back in the elevator to your apartment. Or it could have been the way he tugged his jacket over your shoulders when you started to shiver. Or maybe it was the way you both just stopped in the doorway of your apartment, lingering in the charged air and basking in the closeness the entryway provided.
It doesn't really matter how. What matters is that the kiss seems to pull the air from your lungs, and his heart is beating to the sound of your name. What matters is that when he pulls away to catch his breath, you chase him for another kiss.
Neither of you can focus on what happens next, because it's the warmth of your skin seeping into his and your fingers tangling into his hair that keeps you in the now.
Now, which is so big and so small all at once because his world is narrowed to the angle you tilt your head to kiss him again and you could care less what's happening outside of your apartment, outside of him.
He's your best friend, and you've always been his, but all it took is one moment to destroy any idea of ever being just friends again.
Thinking about boyfriend!Jason Todd and how he always kisses you in the doorway of your apartment because it's 'tradition'. Don't even think about trying to get out of it, not that you'd ever want to, his hand is already curled in the back of your shirt to tug you closer.
One kiss turns into five and it's probably for the best he kisses you like this when you're coming home because you'd never get anywhere if he kissed you like this every time you have to leave.
No one even bats an eye when he kisses the top of your hair or when you thread your fingers with his in public. There's a new softness in his eyes and voice, less of a weight on his shoulders, and your face never lights up as brightly as it does when he's looking at you.
It's instinctual, the way you seem to blend into each other's lives even more now. Your sheets smell like him, your things end up in his apartment just as often as his does in yours.
Thinking about boyfriend!Jason Todd, and how you laugh about ever being nervous to be more with him. It's not always perfect, but it's real, and him and you against the world just like it's always been.
There's still movie nights, still days you set out on your mission to find the best food in Gotham together. But there's also dates, also love-struck words, and needy touches.
There's still late night conversations, still whispered secrets and confessions. But there's also hopeful, hushed tones that talk about the future, a future together.
He's still your best friend, but you're partners too, so he doesn't stop himself when his fingers twitch with the urge to touch you anymore. You don't hide the way you seem to melt in his presence.
He's yours, you're his, and it was never going to end any other way than like this, souls entwined and smiles fond.

dividers by lovely @saradika-graphics!
joel found a lodge houseâŠ
You donât know what you did to make Joel Miller hate you so much.
He's never outright said it, but you know itâs thereâin every sharp glance, every clipped word, every deliberate avoidance.
Besides, his silence is worse than anything he could say. A quiet condemnation that settles in your chest like stone.
You tell yourself it doesnât matter, that you donât care what he thinks, but the truth is harder to swallow.
You do careâmore than you want to admit. His approval, his respect, hell, even a sliver of kindness from him feels like an impossible prize youâll never win.
And you hate yourself for wanting it. For needing it.
It's not just the weight of his disdain that eats at you, it's the not knowing why. God, do you wish you could ask him why.
What did you do to make him look at you like youâre some necessary evil he has to tolerate. Why does he hold some unspoken grudge that's manifested itself into something you couldn't dream of ever comprehending.
But the thought of confronting Joel feels like standing on the edge of a cliff, staring down into a void that might swallow you whole.
So instead, you do what you've always done. You keep your distance, try to match his indifference with your own, and tell yourself itâs better this way.
You were young when the outbreak hit, six years old.
Youâre sure thatâs part of it. That thatâs how Joel sees you, as some bumbling, naive child whoâs more of a hassle than anything else.
Another mouth to feed, another back to watch, baggage.
You've been with him for almost seven months now, traveling side by side when you may have well been miles apart. Trekking through abandoned cities, overgrown highways, and every godforsaken patch of wilderness in between.
In the beginning, you did everything you could to prove him wrong.
You pushed yourself past your limits, hunted, scavenged, fought, kept up. You did everything that needed to be done without hesitation.
All to show that you were more than what he made you out to be. It never seemed to matter much.
After you lost your parents in the early days of the outbreak, it was just you and your sister. She taught you everything you know, taught you how to survive.
It's because of her that you know how to shoot a rifle, how to skin a rabbit, how to start a fire with nothing but sticks and dried moss, how to snap bones and locate which vital arteries bleed out the quickest.
It's because of her that you've been able to hone some sick skill in the maiming of clickers.
A skill you never thought you'd need to use on her.
You were supposed to be safe in the QZ. You weren't supposed to be fifteen years old, aiming a gun at the one person you had left.
Your own flesh and blood wasn't supposed to be the very first in a long list of red tallies under your belt.
Itâs been years and youâve still never forgotten that day. December 19th, 2012, the date burned into your brain like someone took a branding iron to the tissue.
You canât count the amount of times youâve been ripped from your sleep drenched in a cold sweat with the tail end of a scream tearing at the skin of your throat.
The image of what was left of your sister, slumped on the ground lifeless as her blood painted the wall behind her flashing behind your closed eyelids. The sound of her last labored breath ringing in your ears louder than any shotgun blast.
You ran that same night, with the weight of her death on your shoulders.
Your entire world spinning out around you as you clawed through barbed wire fencing, not caring where you were going or what would happen to youâjust needing to escape.
There was nothing left for you to do after that but survive. And thatâs what you did, for years, scraping by in a world that had already chewed you up and spit you out a mangled mess.
You learned how to be ruthless because of it.
How to harden yourself against the loss, the pain, the brutality. But there were cracks, too. Cracks you hid well, buried deep beneath layers of stubbornness and distance.
The endless days blurred into each other. Empty houses, hollow streets. A life reduced to scavenging, hiding, and the occasional, fleeting moment of human connection that inevitably ended in loss.Â
And then you found yourself with Joel.
You hadnât exactly found him, though. More like crashed into his orbit by accident.
A few desperate days spent scavenging through the ruins of a small town, a chance encounter that left you both wary and unwilling to turn your backs.
But, inexplicably, you somehow became part of his traveling routine.
He wasnât like any of the others youâd met before. At first, you thought he might be different. A man who seemed broken, but different nonetheless.
As the days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, you began to see the truth. Joel Miller wasnât concerned with you. He didnât need you. And, more than that, he didnât want you around.Â
You didnât know what to do with that.
Itâs a bitter kind of irony. Youâve survived all this time completely on your own, fought tooth and nail to stay alive, but with him, you might just crumble.
Joel found a lodge house. It's a small, weathered place tucked away in the dense trees of the wood surrounding it.
He only deemed it suitable after an extensive perimeter check and a thorough sweep of the interior.
It's not muchâjust another run-down place in the middle of nowhereâbut for the first time in what feels like forever, itâs a roof over your head for the night.
The walls are sturdy, though the windows are cracked and half of the floorboards creak like they're about to give out at any moment.
You explored the second floor alone, creeping through the desolate rooms and taking in all that was left behind.
Old family photographs covered in thick layers of dust, worn clothes riddled with holes still hung in the few closets you stumble across.
The oddest of all was an old jewelry box tucked away in a dresser draw, tarnished silver dull and muddy.
The sound of familiar footsteps comes from somewhere behind you. The door creaks open slowly.
Joel. Of course.
He clears his throat, the sound abrasive in the quiet of the house. Â
âFireâs low,â he says, voice rough from its lack of use today.
You donât turn around, not yet. You take the box in your gloved hand, running your fingers across the intricate design of the lid, touch trailing over winding vines and small roses.
âOkay,â you mutter, your voice coming out quieter than you intended. âIâll grab some more wood later.â
Another beat of silence. Then, âItâs gettinâ cold out, Iâll go.â
Your fingers pause their ministrations, moving to flip the lid open. Empty.
âSuit yourself,â you reply after a moment, your tone just as neutral as his.
Joel doesnât leave right away. You hear the floorboards groan beneath his weight, his presence lingering in the doorway.Â
You wonder what heâs waiting for, or if heâs waiting at all.
Finally, he speaks. âDonât touch anything.â
With that he turns and leaves the room, you wait until you canât hear his footsteps trailing down the stairs anymore to let out the scoff festering in your chest.
You snap the jewelry lid shut with a little more force than necessary. âAsshole.â
Joel's been gone for a while now. Longer than it takes to chop a few logs for firewood.
You came down from the upstairs a few minutes after hearing the tell-tale sound of the heavy door opening and closing. The main room is quiet, save for the soft crackle of the dwindling fire.
You're perched on an old armchair near the entrance, peering out the dirty window that has the best view of the treeline as you nervously pick the skin around your nails.
You tell yourself not to worry. Heâs probably fine, heâs been doing this a lot longer than you. And if Joel is anything, itâs annoyingly competent.
Still, a nagging doubt itches at the back of your mind. It's been at least half an hour, maybe more.
Youâre just about to grab your own pack and go looking for him when the front door creaks open.
Joel stumbles inside, the frigid evening air rushing in behind him before he slams the door shut. At first glance, he looks fineâno more haggard than usual.Â
But then you notice the way he favors his left side, the way his free hand is pressed against his ribs, blood seeping through his fingers and staining his torn undershirt.
Youâre on your feet in an instant.
âFuck,â you say, voice sharper than you expected. âWhat the hell happened?â
âRaiders.â Is the only explanation you get as he tries to brush past you like itâs nothing. The stiff way he moves and the tightens of his jaw betray him. âSâjust a scratch.â
âBullshit,â you snap, stepping in front of him and blocking his path to the fire. âSit. Now.â
He gives you a look, one of those deep, withering glares youâve seen him use to intimidate countless others into submission. But you stand your ground, chin raised and jaw setâdefiant.Â
His stubbornness finally meeting its match in your own.Â
Finally, with a low growl of frustration, he drops onto the couch. âHappy now?â
"Not until you let me take care of that." You motion toward his side, where the blood is still spreading.
âIâm fine,â he mutters, lolling his head back to rest more heavily on the couch.
âSure you are,â you snap, crossing the room to rifle through your bag. âAnd Iâm the fucking Queen of England.â
"Said Iâm fine," he bites through gritted teeth, but youâre already moving, heading back to him with the first aid kit from your pack.
"You want to bleed out on this ugly-ass couch? Be my guest," you shoot back, dropping to your knees in front of him. "Otherwise, shut up and let me help."
Joel surprisingly doesnât argue any further, just sighs heavily and reluctantly sinks further into the couch cushions.
You push the front of his jacket open to slide it off his shoulders as gently as you can, peeling back the layer of his flannel next.
The smell of blood hits you immediately.
The gash is about five inches long, trailing the span of his ribcage. Itâs deepâbut not fatalâjust an angry red and oozing blood.
Definitely not the simple 'scratch' he made it out to be.
Your stomach churns at the sight, but you push it down. No time for that.
âJesus, Joel,â you mutter under your breath, reaching for the alcohol in your kit. âYou really know how to underplay a situation, huh?â
He doesnât respond, just watches you with those dark, calculating eyes of his. Always watching, always assessing.
Itâs unnerving, but you focus on the task at hand, grabbing a clean cloth and soaking it with alcohol.
âThis is gonna hurt,â you warn, though thereâs a part of you that doesnât mind the idea of causing him a little discomfort.
A petty, vindictive part that still stings from all the scorn heâs thrown your way.
âJust get it over with,â Joel grits out, his voice low and gravelly.
You donât give him any more warnings as you wipe the soaked cloth over the wound. He flinches, a harsh curse slipping through clenched teeth, but he doesnât pull away.
You work as quickly as you can, wiping away the blood and dirt with steady hands, your movements as gentle as possible given the situation.
You let out an annoyed huff when the torn fabric of his shirt gets in the way of your hands for a second time.
You lean back on your heels, glancing up at Joel. âYou need to take your shirt off.â
Joel raises a brow at you, his lips pressing into a thin line. âThat really necessary?â
âYes, itâs necessary, Joel,â you huff, already losing patience. âUnless you want me to sit here and cut around every thread of this ratty thing while you bleed out, then by all meansââ
He sighs heavily, cutting you off as he shifts forward and grabs the hem of his shirt. He tugs at the fabric, grunting in pain each time it strains his ribs.
You roll your eyes at how slow heâs moving, and your patienceâalready worn thin by the day's eventsâsnaps.
âJesus Christ, let me help,â you huff, reaching forward and grabbing the fabric.
Joel jerks back slightly, his hand shooting up to stop yours mid-motion. âI got it,â he growls, a sharp edge in his voice.
You glare at him, your hand still caught in his grip. His palm is calloused, his hold firm enough to make your pulse jump unexpectedly.Â
For a moment, the two of you just sit there, locked in a silent standoff.
Then he releases your hand and pulls the shirt over his head himself, wincing as the movement pulls at his side.
You wait with your arms crossed, trying to ignore the awkward flutter of nerves in your stomach as the fabric peels away to reveal his chest.
Joelâs broad, solid frame isnât new to you. Youâve seen him shirtless beforeâbrief glimpses when bathing in rivers or changing in run down houses between stops.
But this time feels different, more intimate somehow.
Youâre staring, and you know it.
The firelight cast shadows over his skin, illuminating old scars, faint lines of muscle, the barely there jut of his stomach over the hem of his jeans.
You had been getting more game kills recently, two hunters are always better than one.
Joel clears his throat, dragging your focus back to the present. âYou gonna gawk all night, or can we move this along?â
You snap out of it, scowling to cover your embarrassment. âYeah, yeah. Donât get your panties in a twist.â
You finish cleaning the gash and grab the small needle and thread lying next to you.
âThisâll hurt worse than the alcohol,â you say, threading the needle easily.
Joel snorts, a rare sound. âFigures.â
The needle pierces his skin, and this time, you catch the smallest hitch in his breath. He doesnât make a sound, but his jaw tightens, the veins in his neck standing out like cords.
His hands grip the edge of the couch hard enough that his knuckles turn white with it, but he doesnât tell you to stop or slow down.
Heâs too damn proud for that.
You shift closer, your knee brushing against his leg as you position yourself to work from a better angle. You feel his eyes on you, that intense, scrutinizing stare that makes your skin prickle.
âYouâve done this before,â Joel says after a moment, his tone less sharp than before. Itâs not quite a question, more of an observation.
You shrug, keeping your hands steady. âOf course I have.â
âWho taught you?â
The question catches you off guard, Joelâs never shown much interest in what your life was before you met him. You glance up briefly, catching his gaze. Thereâs no malice there, no judgmentâjust curiosity.
You swallow hard, dragging your eyes back to stitches, half way done now. âMy sister.â
You donât elaborate and Joel doesnât push.
Maybe itâs the sudden tightness in your tone or the look you know must be clouding your face that keeps him quiet.
You finish off the stitching, tearing the thin strand of thread with your hands before youâre leaning away again.
âGood as new,â you say, dabbing some more alcohol on your own hands to disinfect. âTry not to tear these open anytime soon.â
Joel leans back, strong arms spread across the back of the couch, his face unreadable as he peers down at the fresh stitching on his side.Â
âCouldâve done it myself,â he mutters, but the edge in his voice is gone, replaced with something softer, almost resigned.Â
You roll your eyes with a scoff, not even trying to hide your irritation as you rise from the floor. âSure you couldâve, right before you passed out. Youâre welcome by the way.â
You gather your supplies and turn to head back to your bag, but Joelâs voice stops you in your tracks.
âYouâre always like this, yâknow,â he says, and the words carry that same gravelly drawl, but thereâs something new thereâsomething heavier.
You pause, your hands tightening around the kit in your grasp. âLike what?â
âPushy. Stubborn,â he replies, his tone cutting, though it lacks the usual venom. âLike youâve got somethinâ to prove all the damn time.â
You whip around, your patience officially gone. âYou think Iâm stubborn?â you shoot back, your voice rising. âComing from the guy who would rather bleed out on a fucking couch than admit he needs help?â
Joelâs jaw tightens, and his hands flex against the couch cushions, but you donât stop. Not now. Not after months of this.
âIâve been busting my ass since day one to prove that Iâm not dead weight to you. Iâve fought for us, for you. And for what? Just to get more of your bullshit attitude?â
âYou donât know what the hell youâre talkinâ about,â Joel snaps, pushing himself upright despite the obvious strain it puts on his freshly stitched wound. âYou donât know a goddamn thing about me.â
âBecause you wonât let me!â you fire back, stepping closer, your voice rising. âAll you do is look at me like Iâm some burden you canât wait to get rid of.â
Joelâs glare sharpens, his lips parting as if to respond, but you cut him off.
You really canât stop yourself now that you started, all the anger and frustration reaching a fever pitch hot enough to burst the tight lid youâve kept on your emotions.
âIf Iâm such a hassle, why didnât you just leave me back there, huh? Why didnât you just walk away like I know you wanted to?â
Joelâs breathing is heavier now, his broad chest rising and falling as his dark eyes bore into yours.
For a moment, he doesnât say anything. Then, he stands, and the sheer size of him forces you to tilt your chin up slightly to keep your glare fixed on his face.
âYou think I wanted this, kid?â he growls, his voice low and strained, like heâs barely holding himself together. âYou think I wanted to be responsible for someone else? To have someone elseâs fuckinâ life on me?â
âDonât call me kid,â you spit, shoving a finger into his chest, ignoring the way his jaw ticks at the contact. âIâm not a fucking kid.â
He scoffs, casting his eyes to the ceiling disbelievingly. âCouldâve fooled me.â
âFuck you, Joel,â you growl, fists clenching at your side. âIf you hate me that much, why the hell are you still here? Why didnât you tell me to fuck off the second you met me?â
âBecause I couldnât!â Joel snaps, booming voice filling the small space.
The confession slips out like it pains him. His fists clench at his sides, and for a moment, he looks like he might break something.
Youâve never been scared of Joel, even though youâve seen first hand just how scary he can be.
Now, as he looms in front of you, eyes blazing and jaw working furiously beneath his skin, itâs the closest to scared youâve felt.
âIâve seen you out there,â he continues, tone low and dark. âYouâve got a fuckinâ death wish. Youâre too damn stubborn to just stop, and Iâm not gonna let you go so you can run off and get yourself fuckinâ killed.â
Your heart pounds in your chest, his words hitting far too close to home.
âIâm just trying to survive, Joel,â you snap, your voice shaking. âThatâs what we do, isnât it? Survive.â
âSurvive,â Joel repeats bitterly, his gaze burning into yours. âThat what you call it? Throwinâ yourself into every goddamn fight, gettinâ stabbed and shot right fuckinâ in front of me and expecting me to brush that shit off?â
You let out a humorless laugh, nodding your head exasperatedly. âYes, yes I do expect you to just brush it off, because thatâs what you always do.âÂ
âWell I canât,â he grates out, taking a step closer. âI canât âcause despite whatever it is that you may think about me, I donât hate you. I care about you too damn much and that's my goddamn problem.â
That shuts you up, your mouth snapping closed with a sharp click of your teeth as you stare at him, shocked.
Joel holds your gaze, lips pressed into a thin line. âThat what you wanted to hear?â
Itâs in that moment that the fire finally fizzles out, the dull hiss of it the only sound left in the room.
Youâre quiet for a beat, stunned into silence. The heat of his anger, his frustration, it radiates off him, and you realize suddenly that this isnât just about you.Â
It never was.
âThen show me,â you challenge softly, your heart pounding in your chest. âShow me that you donât hate me.â
Joelâs eyes darken, his head cocking to the side as he searches your face for a sign. You donât say anything, you only square your shoulders and raise your chin, your eyes just as hard as his own.
âI want you to prove it.â
The tension snaps like a rubber band stretched too far.Â
You shouldnâtâthis shouldnâtâhappen. Not like this. Not after everything thatâs been said.
But when Joelâs lips crash against yours, hot and desperate and urgent, it makes everything blur into nothing.Â
Itâs not gentle, not softâthis is anger and longing and frustration all wrapped into one. Itâs messy, frantic, like a fight thatâs been brewing for too long.
He grips your arm, pulling you closer, almost too roughly, but it feels like itâs everything youâve both been avoiding.
His other hand moves to cup the back of your neck, grounding you as his lips press harder against yours, like heâs trying to pour everything he canât say into this single moment.
You respond just as fiercely, nails digging into the skin of his shoulders as you kiss him back with all the pent-up emotion thatâs been simmering beneath the surface.
The coarse hair of his beard scrapes against the skin of your chin deliciously, the scent of blood and firewood filling your senses as his arm wraps around your waist, dragging you impossibly closer.
Close enough that you can feel the wild beat of his heart booming against your chest.
You pull away for a second, breathless, both of you looking at each other, your eyes wide and pupils blown.
âGoddamn it,â Joel mutters, his voice thick with frustration and something else you canât place. He presses his forehead to yours, the deep brown of his eyes dark than before. âWhat the hell are we doing?â
You donât have an answer. Youâre not sure if you even want one.
You reach for him again, arms looping around his neck to drag his mouth back to yours.
This kiss is nothing like the first, it isnât a clash of frustrationâitâs filthier, rawer. A near feral thing, all teeth and tongue, a surge of hunger and need that borders on violence.Â
Joel groans into your mouth, a low, guttural sound that sends a shiver racing down your spine. His teeth catch your bottom lip, pulling just hard enough to make you gasp.
He takes advantage of the sound, his tongue sweeping into your mouth to slide against yours with wet, messy desperation, like heâs trying to claim every inch of you.
The taste of himâsalt and iron and something distinctly Joelâmakes your head spin.Â
Your fingers knot into the chocolaty curls at the nape of his neck, surprisingly soft to the touch. His own hands roam the soft curves of your body, rough and insistent, like he canât decide where he wants to touch you most.
âJoelââ His name spills from your lips like a plea, and he answers with a deep, guttural noise that sends heat pooling low in your belly. His tongue follows the path of his teeth, soothing the bites with lazy, deliberate strokes that make your knees weak.
Youâre moving before you even realize it. Joel dragging you across the room and down onto the couch with him, using the strength heâs built up after all these years to manhandle you until your thighs are spread wide on either side of his lap.
âJoel,â you gasp again, rearing back enough to break the kiss. âYour stitchesââ
He cuts you off with a sharp nip to the sensitive spot behind your ear, tearing a high whine from your throat. âCan hardly feel âem.â
You make a displeased sound, but itâs undermined by the way you tilt your head to give his wandering lips more room. His hands find a home on your hips, one slipping beneath your shirt to press against the soft skin of your stomach.Â
His fingers splay wide across your skin, his palm callused and rough. His pinky just barely brushes the underside of your breast, and youâre suddenly rearing back.Â
âWait,â you say, your voice barely a whisper.
Joelâs hands immediately loosen their grip on your hips, his brows knitting together in concern. âYou okay?â
You nod quickly, your heart pounding in your chest. âI just...I need to tell you something.â
His jaw tightens slightly, but he stays quiet, waiting for you to speak.
You take a beat, chewing at the skin of your bottom lip nervously.
âIâve never...â You pause, swallowing hard as your cheeks heat up. âIâve never done this before. I mean, Iâve never been with anyone like this.â
Joel pulls back slightly, his expression unreadable as he processes your words. For a moment, you think he might pull away completely, but then he exhales a long, slow breath.
âChrist,â he mutters, scrubbing a hand down his face. âYouâre tellinâ me this now?â
âI didnât exactly plan for this to happen,â you snap back, crossing your arms over your chest defensively. âItâs not like I had the luxury of a high school sweetheart to pop my cherry out here.â
Joelâs gaze softens at your tone, and he reaches out to cup your cheek, his thumb brushing against your skin. âHey, hey, I didnât mean it like that.â
You glance away, suddenly feeling self-conscious under the weight of his stare. âI just...I wanted you to know. But I want this, Joel. I want you.â
His thumb stills against your cheek, and he swallows hard, his adamâs apple bobbing as he considers your words.
âI donât...â He pauses, the most hesitant youâve ever heard him. âI donât want to hurt you.â
Itâs the most vulnerable heâs been around you, round eyes shining with something so raw and so earnest it makes your heart ache in your chest.Â
âYou wonât,â you insist, your voice steady despite the nerves fluttering in your stomach. âI trust you.â
Joelâs jaw clenches, and for a moment, he looks like heâs going to argue. But then he nods, his shoulders relaxing as he cups the back of your neck, pulling you closer until your foreheads touch again.
âAt least let me do this right,â he murmurs, his voice so soft you almost donât hear it. âNot here. Not on some goddamn couch.â
You blink up at him, surprised by the tenderness in his tone. âWhat?â
âUpstairs,â he says, his thumb tracing lazy circles against the side of your neck. âThereâs a bed up there. It ainât much, but itâs better than this.â
You canât do anything but nod, your pulse racing beneath your skin fast enough to combat the cold night air seeping through the walls.
âOkay,â you say softly, voice barely above a whisper. âUpstairs.â
Joel stands, gently pulling you to feet and taking your hand in his. He leads you upstairs, each step feeling heavier with anticipation. The small bedroom is dimly lit, the faint glow of moonlight filtering through a broken blind.Â
The bed isnât muchâan old mattress on a worn frame, covered with a patched-up blanketâbut it doesnât matter.
Joel shuts the door behind you, the sound of the latch clicking into place sending a shiver down your spine.
âLast chance,â he says, his voice a low rumble. âYou say the word, and we stop. No questions asked.â
Your throat tightens at the sincerity in his tone, the way heâs giving you an out even though you can see the strain in every line of his body, the way his hands flex at his sides like he wants nothing more than to reach out and touch you.
But you donât hesitate.
You step closer, placing your hands on his bare chest. You bite back a smile at the goosebumps that break out all along his skin at your touch.Â
âJesus, Miller,â you mumble teasingly, nails lightly scratching through the salt and pepper hair scattered along his chest. âHow long are you gonna drag this out before you get it through your thick skull that I want to fuck you?â
"Christ." Joel huffs, shaking his head as the corners of his lips turn up in a small grin. âLike I fuckinâ said,â he starts, big hands kneading the meat of your hips. âPushy.â
Joel walks you backward until the backs of your knees hit the edge of the bed, and you fall onto it with a soft gasp.
He follows you immediately, crawling over you, his body covering yours, his weight a comforting pressure. âIâll take care of you,â he murmurs, his lips brushing yours. âIâll make it good for you, I swear.â
His fingers are everywhere, unbuttoning your shirt with a practiced ease that has your pulse racing. His lips follow the path of his hands, each touch a branding mark, each kiss leaving you wanting more.
âPretty girl,â he mutters softly, pressing a kiss right between the valley of your breasts.
You feel his cock stirring against your stomach, and it makes the ache between your legs flare to life, the weight of it, the hardness of it, driving you crazy with need.Â
You want him so badly you can barely think straight, but when his lips graze over your collarbone, you canât stop the quiet whine that escapes your throat.
Joel growls in response, a sound that resonates deep in his chest, and you know then that heâs as far gone as you are. His hands slide down to the waistband of your pants, tugging them down your legs with urgency.Â
As your skin is exposed to the cool air, you can feel the heat of his gaze on you, like heâs memorizing every inch of you.
âYouâre fuckin' perfect,â he mutters, his voice thick with desire.
Joel's hands find your thighs, parting them with a deliberate slowness that makes your breath catch in your throat. He positions himself between your legs, his body weight pressing you into the mattress, his chest rising and falling with the same frantic rhythm as yours.Â
The anticipation is almost unbearable as his fingers trace the line of your panties, the fabric damp with want.
âJesus, sheâs drippinâ for me already,â he mutters, voice rough, as he slides the material to the side, his thumb brushing over the sensitive swell of your clit.
Your body jerks at the contact, a desperate sound escaping your lips, but Joel doesnât relent.
âYou touch yourself down here, baby?â he asks, working tortuously slow circles over your clit.
"Please," you beg, your hands grasping at the sheets, pulling at them as if they can anchor you to the moment.
He looks up at you, his gaze dark and filled with an intensity that makes your stomach tighten. âAsked you a question, honey.â
You whine, high and loud in your throat as your thighs clench desperately around his wrist. âYes, I touch myself.â
Joelâs lips curl into a satisfied grin, sliding his thick index finger through the messy wetness to slip inside your clenching hole, making you gasp. Your hands grasp at the sheets, pulling at them as if they can anchor you to the moment.
âGood girl,â he breathes, eyes darkening at the broken moan that bursts from your lips. âWhenâs the last time you touched yourself?â
Your brain feels hazy as you search for the answer, pleasure clouding your mind slow and sweet as molasses. âAâa few nights ago.â
Joel hums idly, slipping a second finger alongside the first. The stretch has you whining, his fingers a lot more to take than your own.
Your hands come up to claw at his shoulders, relishing in the way his broad muscle ripples and shifts beneath your greedy palms.
âJoel,â you whine, hips canting down against his hand impatiently.
He just shushes you softly, free hand brushing soothing circles along the skin of your inner thigh. âI know, honey,â he mutters, the pace fingers speeding up. âBut I gotta get her nice and ready if you wanna take my cock.â
The gush of your pussy around his fingers is loud in the stillness of the room, a filthy wet noise that burns your ears each time he plunges them into your aching hole.
âI am ready.â Your breath hitches as your body begins to tremble beneath him. âPlease, Joelâfuckâplease, I needââ
âNeed what?â His voice is thick with dark amusement, but there's a hunger in his eyes that has your stomach twisting. âTell me, baby. What do you need?â
âI need you,â you rasp, your nails digging little crescent moons into his skin, your body pleading for release. âI need you inside me.â
Your hands grab at his hair, pulling him back up to meet your lips in a feverish kiss.Â
The pressure of his body on yours, the way his hard cock grinds against your trembling thigh, drives you to the brink of madness.Â
Your hands trail down his chest, past the waistband of his jeans, finally reaching the bulge straining against the fabric.
Joel groans when you rub him through his pants, feeling his cock twitch in response. He pulls back, breathing heavily, his lips curling into a smirk.Â
âYeah?â he asks, his voice thick with lust. âYou want my cock in this pretty pussy? Want me to show you how good it feels to be fucked?â
âGod, yes,â you answer, desperation lacing your tone as your hand moves to unbuckle his jeans. âWant it so bad.â
He lets you push his pants down just enough to free his cock, and you gasp, your eyes drawn to the way his length stands, thick and hard, just waiting for you. The tip flushed an angry red, drooling pre-come onto the scratchy sheets.
Joel pulls his fingers from you, using his hands spreading your legs wider, positioning himself between them with such careful precision that you can barely stand it.
The head of his cock drags through the mess between your legs, slipping all the way down till it catches on your soaked entrance.
Joel pauses, looking down at you, waiting for your signal, but the only answer you give is a pleading whimper, your hands pulling at his shoulders, urging him to move.
His mouth captures yours once again as he slowly slides into you, the stretch of his cock filling you steadily, making you gasp into his mouth.Â
The slow burn of him carving a place for himself inside of you is almost too much, your body trembling as you adjust to the feeling of him.
âFuck, baby,â Joel mutters against your lips. âYouâre so tight, so fuckinâ perfect for me.â
As he sinks deeper into you, his thick cock finally buried to the hilt inside of you, the feeling is overwhelming. You gasp, nails digging into his back as the pain slowly shifts into pleasure.
Joel groans into your mouth, his hands moving to your hips, guiding you as he rocks gently against you.Â
The rhythm is slow at first, deliberate, as if he's savoring every inch of you. Your body quivers beneath him, every inch of your skin tingling with sensation. You clutch at him, your legs tightening around his waist, needing more, wanting more.
"That's it," he murmurs, his voice thick with desire. "Take it, baby."
You screw your eyes shut tightly, trying to steady yourself as he thrusts deeper, harder. The angle shifts just enough to make your breath catch in your throat.Â
Every stroke feels like itâs hitting the deepest part of you, sparking heat in places you never knew could burn so hot.
"Fuck," you gasp, the sensation too overwhelming, too much in the best way. "Joel... please..."
"Please what, sweetheart?" He pulls back slightly, teasing you with a slow roll of his hips before driving back in with a grunt.
Your nails dig into his shoulders, urging him to move faster, harder. "Donât stop," you breathe, your voice trembling. "I need you to fuck me, Joel. Faster. Harder. Please."
The sound of skin slapping against skin fills the room as Joel finally picks up the pace, each thrust harder and deeper than the last.
Your back arches off the bed, chest pressing flush to his as your body coils tighter and tighter, already so close to the edge.
Joel reaches up to take your wrist in his, dragging your hand down to press flat against your lower stomach.
âFeel that?â he asks breathlessly, the speed of his hips knocking the dingy bed frame into the wall with every thrust. âYou feel how deep I am?â
His own hand blankets yours, pushing down so you can feel the way his cock punches up against your palm on the next thrust.
Your pussy clenches desperately around him at the feeling, your slick lips dropping open on a loud moan.
You can barely hold on. The heat in your stomach tightens, coiling painfully as your free hand scrambles to find purchase on his skin. "I can'tâI'm gonnaâ"
He grits his teeth, his jaw clenched as he drives deeper, pushing you closer and closer to the edge. "Come for me, baby," he growls, his voice dark and commanding. "Let me feel it."
With a strangled cry, you finally release, your body clenching around him, every nerve igniting in a white-hot explosion of pleasure.Â
Youâre lost in it, your world spinning, your senses overwhelmed by the sensation of Joelâs body pounding into yours, the way his cock brushes against that sweet spot behind your clit enough to make sparks go off behind your eyelids.
Joel pulls out of your velvety warmth, hand coming up to fist his dripping length until heâs bowing over you tightly and coming with a deep groan of your name.
His release paints your stomach with milky strands of white, rope after rope of warm come claiming you in a way no one has before.
He finally collapses against you with one last shuddering breath, both of you breathing heavily, your chests rising and falling together in the quiet aftermath.
For a few moments, neither of you speaks, the only sounds are the soft creak of the bed and the quiet hum of your racing hearts.Â
Joel rests his head against your shoulder, his breath warm against your skin, and you can feel the tension begin to slip away, the weight of everything thatâs happened between you both settling into something newâsomething different, but still there.
Your hand slips down the sweaty expanse of your stomach, your fingers swiping through the sticky mess of his release curiously.
âChrist, quit that,â Joel groans, tearing his eyes away from the sight to press his forehead against your shoulder.
âWhy?â you hum, brow raised in amusement as you drop your hand back to the mattress. âCan you even get it up again?â
Joel pinches your side hard enough to make you squeal, your body flinching away from him as a surprised laugh bubbles from your chest.
âWatch it,â he warns, though thereâs no bite to his tone. You only laugh in response.
The two of you settle into a comfortable silence, wrapped in each other as crickets chirp from outside the window.
Then Joel clears his throat, fingers idly tracing different shapes on the skin of your hip as he gathers the courage to speak.
A circle, a square, a diamond, a circle, a heart, a heart, a heart.
âIâmâŠâ he starts, trailing off softly. âIâm sorry. Iâve been a real fuckinâ prick, and you didnât deserve it. You never did.â
You turn your own gaze to his chest, hand coming up so you can trail your fingers along the jagged scar decorating his shoulder. Your touch featherlight over the rough patch of skin.
All the anger seeps from your body, a heavy weight gone until you feel so light you could float off the mattress and into the cold night air.
âItâs okay,â you whisper softly, so soft you think it gets lost in the quiet darkness of the room. âI understand now.â
And for the first time in what feels like forever, you both just lay there, tangled in each other, not worrying about the world outside, about the chaos that waits.Â
Just you, him, and the soft glow of moonlight.

Do NOT Touch a God- DC x DP Prompt (Tim x Danny)
Correction: don't touch Danny.
A rule has been added to the house rules of Titans Tower. It started after the arrival of the summoning of the interdimensional teen that takes residence there.
Despite being only a teenager the power he held was at the level of a god. He causally reshaped reality around him to his liking. Rooms are made bigger on the inside but remain the same outside. Danny's hate for things getting too dirty made all clothes left on the floor for too long disappear into the laundry room and spilled drinks evaporate. The tower became self-cleaning as everything found its place on its own. Danny said it was just what he prefers, lab safety and all that. Sometimes Danny would turn off gravity, no reason be just likes it like that.
Unfortunately, he doesn't go on missions except for extreme situations where he is needed. He is content to spend his time in the med bay as the resident healer. He is also one of the few that can fix up Cyborg. Danny doesn't get involved unnecessarily. This has led to a few arguments in the past over how unhelpful he can be despite being able to help them. Danny shrugs it off and disappears when it happens. It was not fair on him, if he didn't want to fight he shouldn't have to. He was an asset and he offered his help freely.
So why does the No Touch rule exist? Well, Danny doesn't like touching people. He wears gloves for a reason especially when he is working in the bay fixing up everyone after a mission. He also avoids others touching him, shrinking away when someone tried.
Everyone respected that boundary but after a rough mission in particular Kon started an argument with him. The injuries were severe and he was just mad that M'gann was hurt. Danny was already overwhelmed with healing everyone and Kon seemed to strike a nerve. When Kon almost made contact with him Danny flickered out of existence and reappeared further away.
After several hours of fixing broken bones and open wounds Danny retreated.
Tim decided to check on him later. Kon was sorry for overreacting and blaming Danny for something he couldn't control but Danny probably didn't want to see him right now.
Danny looked worse for wear when he opened the door. He looked tired, weary from using his energy. He wrapped a blanket around himself.
They talked for a while. Mostly about nothing important, other times about how stressful things were right now.
Tim often found it hard to believe that Danny wasn't just a normal teen. Then again, what did he know about normal?
But he had wondered something.
He reached out and tried to hold Danny's hand but Danny moved away quickly noticing.
"You shouldn't do that." He said simply.
Had he been Dick he would repect the boundaries and if he was Jason he'd probably agree. But he was Tim and Tim was very bad at boundaries. That's kind of how he got here.
"Why not?" Tim asked.
"It might be too much," Danny said cautiously eyeing Tim who held his hands up.
"Try me."
Danny sighed and removed one of his gloves and touched his hand to Tim's shoulder.
All at once different sensations filled his senses. A comforting touch of a friend, a light fluttering of a passing stranger on the street, a strike of a hated rival, the steady hand of a family member, the playful tap of a classmate, the caress of a lover...all at once. Each feeling is defined but also blurred. It was almost like being pulled in thousands of directions as they tried to claim a part of Tim into their reality.
A single touch sent him into a trace. When Danny pulled away he expected to have broken Tim like how a child accidentally snaps their toys when playing. He knew his touch could overwhelm people almost to death. Clockwork said he'd be able to control it some day but Danny didn't even want to test it. Being able to fracture someone's mind was scary. Seeing it happen once was enough. So why did he try it on Tim? Did he not care what happened to him?
It's a bit selfish and embarrassing to admit but...not being able to touch another person was awful. He's not clingy but it feels like he has lacked sensation for a long time. Tim willingly asked for this and Danny wanted this as well.
Tim wasn't broken. Infact he had never felt more alive. When Danny removed his hand he found himself pulling it back to him. He couldn't explain it but it felt like...everything. Indescribable but amazing. It was contradictory but all of it made sense.
"Do it again!"
Things kind of escalated from there. It would probably be crass to even say it but let's just say that neither was lacking sensation. It was profound, not purely physical nor emotional, something else entirely. The religious sort would call it divine or a blessing, perhaps it was what heaven feels like. Others would call it sinful, partaking in things no human was meant to know or experience. The folly of humanity.
It was certainly addictive though. Whispered words echoed in every tongue. With every contact a new chorus created. The memories of long dead god flashed and worlds yet unawakened showed themselves. And just when it seemed like everything in the universe had collided and finally made sense...it was over.
There was a knock on the door.
Danny managed to roll the breathless, Tim off with a groan. He stretched feeling a bit locked up. He had been holding each other for a while now.
He opened the door and saw Kon standing there nervously.
"Look, Im sorr-"
"Danny?" Tim called out groggily interrupting whatever Kon was saying.
"I'm busy," Danny said quickly closing the door to go back to...you know.
(So were they having sex or just cuddling? I have no fucking idea and I wrote this. I feel like it's a secret third that is somehow worse.)

per @lolottes:
"the worst would be if Vlad showed empathy towards Danny in the face of his situation "Brucie", seeing it as a reflection of him and Jack. or even worse he says that and it's heard by a member of the batfam as well as the argument with Danny that follows or its mentioned by Danny; that âhis father was intelligent and has diplomasâ as well as âhe is not trying to murderâ followed by a teasing âfor the momentâ from Vlad"
They hate Bruce for entirely different reasons. Danny thinks he's like Vlad, only somehow even less relatable as a member of the bourgeoisie (at least Vlad has humble roots; he does things like eat cereal and get excited about socks; Brucie probably has his every meal prepared by rollerskating maids and only cares about extreme sports or hot people.) Vlad thinks Brucie is beneath him, and his city is too overrun by maniacs to be worthwhile overshadowing. A complete waste of resources.
Danny keeps on meeting Brucie Wayne at Galas when he goes to keep Sam company. He hates the man. There is no adoption, no adoption jokes, he never meets Batman. Give me Danny Fenton and his unending beef with Brucie Wayne. Bruce finds this absolutely hilarious. This feisty 14 year old is incredibly fun to antagonize.

Hellfire Adopts Steve Pt. 2
Pt 1
Eddie may be repeating his senior year, but he's no idiot. He's intuitive, a quick thinker, and generally, he's an excellent judge of character. Which is exactly why he protested Gareth's decision to drag Steve Harrington, the former King of Hawkins High and current King of Don't Fuck With Me, to lunch with Hellfire.
Jeff and Freak are both genuinely terrified to have His Royal Highness picking at subpar mashed potatoes in the uncomfortable plastic chair across from them; to his credit, Steve Harrington seemed unbothered by the situation, even as Princess Nancy Wheeler and her own little pet outcast Jonathan pass him on the way to their own table. Eddie watches with growing interest as Steve boredly ignores Nancy's attempt to catch his eye (it's almost hilarious- he'd been at the Halloween party last month where Nancy got absolutely shitfaced and then screamed at Steve in front of the entire student body, and yet here they are, Nancy trying awkwardly to speak to Steve and Steve resolutely going about his business).
Gareth stammers through a story about their latest DnD campaign, his round face practically glowing with excitement as he uses the peas on his tray to illustrate what their party had been up against. Eddie fully expects Steve to say something rude, dousing Gareth's smile and deserving every bit of ire Eddie can muster, but Steve just smiles at Gareth and ruffles his hand through the unkempt curls Eddie's been trying to get Gareth to take care of.
From there it only gets weirder. Steve seems to have taken a real shine to Gareth and is nothing short of a perfect gentleman to Jeff and Freak, but he loves to bicker with Eddie. Honestly, Eddie's impressed at just how much Steve seems to like bitching at people.
Steve is also surprisingly responsible? After that first lunch, Steve is around all the time; he shows up to Hellfire meetings with his backpack full of homework and a Tupperware full of something delicious (Eddie had nearly cried the first time he took a bite of Steve's macaroni), only to completely ignore their entire session to study. Occasionally, the walkie Steve carries with him whenever they aren't in school will crackle to life, and Steve will make himself scarce pretty quickly.
Overall, Steve is awesome. Eddie hates to admit it, but watching such a prim and proper guy emotionally destroy someone for commenting on Freak's size, and Eddie just knows that the damage done to Tommy Hagan's car after Gareth showed up to Hellfire with a busted lip and glassy eyes was Steve's fault.
========
Steve is actually really enjoying his time in Hellfire. He doesn't really mention it to the kids, and both Nancy and Jonathan are still avoiding him, so Steve sees it as a win: he gets to make friends who haven't seen him get his ass beat by interdimensional horrorterrors that have ruined dogs and flowers for him forever, he gets to learn more about the game his new little brother is obsessed with, and innocent kids don't have to bear the brunt of King Billy's reign of terror.
Gareth decides almost instantly that he likes Steve; not only because he saved Gareth from bullies or brings them food better even than Wayne Munson's, but because Steve always listens to his DnD stories. Jeff and Freak (who Steve will only refer to by his Government Name, Melvin) grow to like him as well, not at all encouraged by the food Steve brings or (on one memorable occasion) the incredibly realistic melee weapon, straight out of a flick like Red Dawn, that they found under his seat one day.

bargain bin â lando norris
coming clean part II lando norris x you âno warnings, just angst (the spice will be back next time, i promise) read part I here requested by anon; "sex while there is the background noise of a rainstorm outside"
âyou can only come in if you promise weâre not going to fight.â
lando nodded, eyes soft. he looked exhausted, like he hadn't slept in days. you didn't know that he had only flown home from a triple header yesterday, you swore once the break up happened that you wouldn't worry about him anymore. but of course you did, secretly checking the race results, betrayed by your curiosity.
âthe last thing i want is to fight with you,â he replied, barely above a whisper as you took a step to the side and allowed him into your apartment.Â
he was dripping wet from the storm outside, immediately ditching the bomber jacket hanging from his shoulders and kicking off the boots covered in your freshly cut lawn. he was apologetic about bringing the rain into your quaint apartment â he felt safer here than in his own place in monaco. he hated it there now, without you, swearing up and down that nothing but resentment and pain lived in those hallowed walls.Â
seeing him in the flesh felt different to what you expected. your heart clenched as he leaned against your couch, hands stuffed into his hoodie and dishevelled curls sweeping across his furrowed forehead. being in the same room for the first time in months changed everything, all the fears youâd built up in your mind melted away and the deep regret of letting go of someone so kind and generous churned in your stomach.Â
âyou look tired, lan.âÂ
the nickname caught his attention, eyes locking in on your expression to see how genuine you were â hoping to god you were giving him the same look you gave when you were together.Â
âi donât even know how i managed to drive over here to be honest â just canât sleep anymore,â lando grumbled, feet shuffling on your carpet.Â
âthen we should go to bedâŠâÂ
his eyes widened in surprise at your suggestion, âwha- are you⊠are you sure?âÂ
you nodded and reached out for his hand, âcome on.âÂ
lando followed closely behind, heart thumping in his chest as you closed the bedroom door and walked to your closet, âi still have some of your clothes here,â you whispered, handing him a baggy shirt and a pair of shorts.
âthank youâŠâ he managed to squeak out, tears slightly forming in his eyes, âyou always look after me better than anyone else.âÂ
âi know youâd do the same for me if i was struggling,â you stated, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world as you exited the bathroom in your pyjamas.Â
lando sighed and held his tongue. all he wanted to do was tell you how beautiful you looked and how much he appreciated your caring nature. instead, he crawled into bed beside you and rested his weary head on the pillow. the sound of the thundering storm outside your window would have been enough to lull him to sleep, especially with the warmth of your body so close to his. but he didnât want to sleep, not with so many thoughts swirling around his busy mind.
âhow have you been?â he asked, causing you to look over at him with a chuckle.
âi thought you were tiredâŠâ
lando shrugged and attempted to disguise his small smile, âi was but like i said in my text â i miss you a lot. miss talking to you and hearing your voiceâŠâ
âsounds like youâre down bad.â
âso bad.â he quipped back, shuffling closer to you like a magnet.Â
you shook your head and turned onto your side to face him completely, âi miss you too.âÂ
âyeah?â he almost sounded shocked, playfully so but there was a hint of genuine scepticism in his cracking voice.
âyeah. miss a lot of things about youâŠâ
âlike what?â he taunted.Â
âjust shut up and kiss me, you dork.â
lando didnât need to be told twice as he closed the small space between you, scooping your waist into his arms and holding you tight. your noses bumped before your lips made contact, making your both giggle as he kissed you into the mountain of pillows.
a loud crack of lightning outside your window made you jump, instinctively pulling him even closer than humanely possible as his lips travelled down your neck â the rumbling of thunder murmured in sync with your heart beat. it felt like the first time youâd met all those years ago, so young and stupidly in love.Â
âi love being with you during storms like this⊠makes me feel safe.â
âiâve got you and iâm not going anywhere.â he reassured sweetly in a whisper. you sighed in relief, relaxing into his touch while bringing his face up to yours with shaky hands. there was a nervous surge of energy when you looked into his sparkling green eyes, slightly darkened by the dimly lit roomâ you believed every word he had said that night and sealed it with a kiss, slowly melting into the covers as he made you feel like you were the only woman in the world.
a/n â very rarely does this happen but the spice would not come to me for this one. i feel like the vibe just felt different and honestly, i don't know how to feel about it hahaha i realised a long time ago that writing angst doesn't come naturally even though i'm a moody bitch - maybe it's because writing is my escapism lol #end of (f1) season sale!! âsee what other customers are buying âš

Buck sits on a hospital bed and looks down at his bandaged hands. Mild burns. They add to the considerable amount of smoke inhalation that makes his throat feel as dry as sandpaper. At least his coughing already got better. Buck's doctor assured him he would be able to leave soon. Too bad there's no home he can return to.Â
He stares at his hands and feels ⊠numb. It happened so fast. So fast, it almost seems like a dream. But itâs real. And everything still smells like smoke.
His loft. Itâs gone.
In the middle of the night, flames consumed the walls in that scary astonishing speed heâs so well familiar with. And he couldn't stop it.
So many memories. Burnt down to ash. Buried underneath rubble. Gone.
A light knock at the doorframe makes him perk up. Buck expects to see Maddie who left to get some water and a snack. Or Chimney. Or Hen. Or Bobby. But itâs neither one of them.
âTommy?â Buck looks up, too surprised to prepare himself for the pain he feels when he actually sees Tommy. For the first time in weeks. âWhat ⊠what are you doing here?â
âI ⊠Howie called me,â Tommy says, avoiding direct eye contact.
âOf course he did,â Buck mutters, looking back down at his hands, picking at a loose thread. Chimney. The ever-hopeful matchmaker.
Tommy clears his throat. âAre you okay?â
Buck flinches. The soft tone with which those words are spoken feels like a punch to his gut.
Are you okay?Â
Okay.Â
Anger wells up inside Buckâs tight chest like dark ice water, rising to the surface of his mind and fading out all the sadness. Buck glares up at Tommy. âSeriously? Thatâs what youâre asking about? After weeks of silence. Of nothing. You dare to show up here just like that and ask if Iâm okay?!â
Itâs Tommyâs turn to wince, his eyes widening slightly. âIâm sorry.â
Somehow, that only makes Buck even angrier. He knows itâs true. Honest. He knows that Tommy cares. And he kind of wishes Tommy wouldnât. But here they are. Still care about each other way too much.
Tiredness creeps into the murky combination of anger and sadness.
âIt burnt,â Buck says quietly.
âWhat?â Tommy asks.
âMy scrapbook. It burnt. All the pictures too. The pictures I put on the fridge. And now I have nothing left.â Buck can feel the tears coming. He doesnât want them. Doesnât want to cry in front of Tommy. âAll the memories I started to collect. Theyâre gone.â
I used to look at them. I used to remember the time when I thought I was finally on my way to happiness. Â
âItâs all gone,â Buck breathes. And then he really cries.
An ugly sob that escapes his lips. And he hates it. Hates it so much. But he has no energy left to hide.
âEvan,â Tommy says, barely audible. And even though the sadness is suffocating him, Buck has the space for a relieved sigh. Not Buck. Still Even. And it still sounds so right ⊠How does it sound so right after all the wrong directions their path took?
The bed dips as Tommy sits down beside Buck, hesitantly putting a hand on his heaving back. âItâs not all gone,â Tommy says.
Buck wipes at his burning eyes. âItâs not?â He asks, doubtfully.
âNo. I ⊠Iâve been collecting memories too. I can share them with you. If you want them,â Tommy says.
âThat would be great,â Buck admits, trying to take a deep breath through his stuffed nose with a grimace. âBecause ⊠Because they really make me happy. The memories.â
âThey do?â Tommy asks, his hand still on Buckâs back, but apparently not daring to move. âDonât they make you ⊠angry?â
âNot really. Sometimes they make me a little sad. Because I start to think of what could have been,â Buck says. âI start to picture all the happy memories the future might have given me.â
âBut you donât know if those memories would have been happy. What if ⊠What if that future turns out to be so painful that you end up wishing you wouldnât have lived through it in the first place?â Tommy asks, his voice strained. âArenât you scared of what you canât know?â
Buck shakes his head. âNo. I canât live like that. The future isnât set in stone. And as long as I think the memories I want to make are worth fighting for ⊠Things will be alright.â
We would have been alright. Â
Tommyâs hand is burning him. But when it retreats, Buck almost tells him to put it back. Maybe thatâs pathetic. But he canât find the energy to care.
Tommy is silent for a long moment. He seems lost in his own thoughts, his fingers rubbing over his jean-cladded knees in rhythmic movements.
Buck glances at him. Through a blur of his lingering tears, he suddenly realizes that Tommy looks ⊠rough.Â
His edges are sharper. The lines on his face seem deeper. There are shadows under his eyes and heâs close to growing a beard.Â
And maybe thatâs pathetic too, but Buck suddenly wants to hope that Tommy is feeling that same ache Buck has been feeling for such a long time now. The ache that forces him to bake. To keep his hands busy and his mind empty.
He wonders. What is Tommy doing to soothe his ache?
Buck almost asks.
But before he can, Tommy gets up. He clears his throat. âAre you staying with Maddie and Howie?â
âYeah,â Buck says quietly. âFor now. I guess.â
Tommy nods. Heâs chewing on his lower lip. Lingers. Seems like thereâs something else he wants to say.
And the silence stretches like a rubber band. The tension is almost palpable in the room.
Finally, Tommy says, âIf I would text you in a few days. Would you read it? Would you read it all?â
âI would,â Buck says, remembering the bubbles. âI promise,â he adds.
Tommy exhales shakily. âOkay. Alright. Iâm truly sorry, Evan. For the loft. And for what you lost. I can't change what happened. I canât give the past back to you. But whatever happens, whatever you do after you read what I am going to write, I will give you everything I have. So that you can start a new collection.â
âThank you,â Buck says, his throat tightening.
Tommy nods. He starts to walk out of the room with slow heavy steps.
Before he can disappear, Buck works up the courage to say, âTommy. Wait.â
Tommy stops, glancing back at Buck.
âAre ⊠are you okay?â Buck asks.
Tommyâs brows furrow with surprise, but then his eyes soften. âHonestly? No. And I havenât been in a long time. But I am finding ways to keep the hope alive,â he says. âGoodbye, Evan. Rest well.â
And then he really leaves.
Buck stares into the void and the ache is back. But the pain has a note of hope in its bite. Maybe itâs the same kind of hope Tommy was talking about. And maybe he shouldnât allow himself to feel it. But he canât help it.
Apparently, his heart, even though covered in the ash the night left behind, is still convinced that the future he pictured is worth fighting for.

toxicex!matt knows exactly how to get under your skin.
you feel sick, your stomach churning in tight knots while your throat constricts painfully as you peer over the rim of your cup, your gaze fixed on matt, watching through glassy eyes as he flirts with the fourth girl of the night.
his hands linger on their waists, occasionally slipping down to grope their ass. lipstick marks stain his jaw and neck, and he leans in to whisper sweet little things to them â all while staring you down with that smirk on his lips.
you hate the smug look on his face, and you hate the way you're still feeling this way nearly a month after the breakup. you constantly remind yourself that he's not yours anymore, that the jealousy and hurt swirling inside you are unwarranted.
yet, it's nearly impossible to believe those words when matt always seems to find his way back; back into your bed. his body pressed against yours, his breath hot in your ear as he murmurs how much he wants you and how much you need him.
but, inevitably, you're left feeling like the fool when it's all over; after he slips away and leaves you alone in your bed, hollow and aching, tears swimming in your eyes as you wonder which girl he'll be flirting with the next time you see him, always replaying the scene in your mind like a haunting loop.
matt shouldn't matter to you anymore; he should have been faded from your thoughts and life the moment you ended things.
but it's not that simpleânothing in your life ever seems to be.
your attention is momentarily pulled away when your friend approaches, gently gripping your elbow and leaning in to shout in your ear over the thumping bass that vibrates through the club. her words are a blur, drowned out by the pulsating music and the chaos around you as your gaze drifts back to matt.
you can hardly focus on anything but him; his hand glides up to the girl's face, fingers stroking her cheek in a way that feels all too familiarâ a gesture that once belonged to you. a wave of nausea hits you again as you watch him lean in, his lips brushing against her own, all while his eyes still remain completely locked on you.
you can't take it anymore, you really can't.
the weight of your emotions crashes down, and your bottom lip quivers uncontrollably as tears threaten to spill over, and in a whirlwind of desperation, you jerk away from your friend's grasp, rushing toward the exit.
your cup slips from your fingers, the plastic clattering on the floor and liquid spilling, but you don't stop to see it.
you barely register your friend calling out your name, her voice lost in the crowd's noise as you shove through the sweaty bodies, stumbling over your own heels as you strain to escape the suffocating room.
the exit door swings open, and the biting cold air rushes in, filling your constricted lungs with oxygen.
leaning against the wall outside the club, your heart races, each beat echoing in your ears. the tears finally spill over, streaming down your cheeks uncontrollably as a choked sob escapes your lips, the sound raw and unfiltered.
you know you must look like a completely mess to the people lingering nearby, but their stares blur into the background â you're too caught up in your own agony to care about their judgement.
each bated breath you take feels heavy, and you stand there shivering in the cold, sniffling and sobbing as a storm of emotions swirl within you â grief, anger, and a deep sense of loss.
"oh, baby..." that all too familiar voice cuts through the haze of your mind, and your head snaps up, barely able to see through your teary vision as matt walks toward you slowly.
he must have noticed your disappearance and followed you, and despite everything, a strange warmth flickers in your chest at the thought that he might care just a little. but it's quickly overshadowed by the hurt.
you're still upset, still in agony from the sight of him with someone else, and as he closes in, you pathetically back against the wall, trapped, your heart racing.
with one hand, he grips your chin, tilting your face up to full meet his gaze, while the other taps your cheek in a way that feels condescending.
"get a hold of yourself, baby... i only want you, yeah? only you.." his smirk widens as he coos, his thumb brushing away the mascara smudging beneath your watery eyes. the gesture feels intimate, but you know it's just another manipulation tact, yet you can't help but slowly fall into it. "m'just bein' friendly, y'know... got a lot of female friends. can't just ignore 'em."
you want so desperately to believe him, to let his words wrap around you like a comforting blanket, but the reality is suffocating. the sweet scent of other girls' perfumes clings to him, and the lipstick marks smeared across his jaw are tugging painfully at your heart.
matt leans in closer, his breath warm against your skin, sending shivers down your spine as you feel the weight of his gaze, assessing you, searching for any hint of weakness. "c'mon, baby.. don't cry. y'know i can't handle seein' you cry. it hurts me."
"you hurt me," you whisper, fresh tears falling down your cheeks, and you can't look away from him. "you hurt meâyou always hurt me."
his expression shifts, feigning regret as he murmurs. "m'so sorry, baby.. know i love you, only want you."
the words drip with insincerity, yet the curl around your heart like rope, pulling you closer, igniting a flicker of hope. he presses his lips to your cheeks, kissing away your tears, and you hate how your heart flutters at the familiarity of his touch, how it quiets the storm inside you.
as his mouth trails down your neck, each kiss awakens memories of warmth, and the corner of his lips twitches into a smirk. "always wan' you. my favourite girl."
you want to push him away, to remind him that you're broken up because of all the times he's shattered your heart, all the moments he's left you alone in tears, how his toxicity became unbearable. but there's an undeniable pull that you struggle to ignore, it makes it hard to resist.
"why do you do this to me?" you ask quietly, your voice trembling, torn between longing and defiance, desperation lacing your words.
he pulls back slightly to meet your eyes, stroking your cheek with his thumb as he murmurs, "'cos you let me, baby. you need me."
in that moment, the truth hits you like a cold wave, crashing over you brutally. it claws at your insides, a bitter reminder that you're caught up in a cycle of pain and passion. you feel lost, helpless, teetering on the edge of wanting to escape, yet you're overwhelmed by the urge to pull him into your arms and forget about everything that's gone wrong.
"tell me you need me," he murmurs, his voice low and seductive, his thumb gliding across your cheek to rest on your plush bottom lip. he pulls it down slightly, watching as it bounces back into place, a playful yet possessive gesture. "tell me, baby. c'mon."
you swallow hard, your resolve crumbling as you stare into his eyes. all the reasons screaming at you to walk away seem to fade beneath his gaze, and you find yourself on the brink of surrender.
"i... i need you," you whisper, the admission slipping past your lips before you can stop it.
matt's smirk widens, a glint in his eyes as he leans in closer, "see? s'all i wanted to hear... the truth."
he pulls you in, hands firm on your cheeks as he presses his lips to yours. in that instant, the world around you fades away and you allow yourself to melt into him, surrendering yourself to desperately forget about the hurt that lingers like a dark cloud over your heart.
his kiss is both intoxicating and heart-breaking, yet it feels so familiarâso rightâand you can't help but get lost in his touch, even as the tears continue to stream down your cheeks.
you can taste the salt of your tears on his lips as he deepens the kiss, his hands sliding from your face to the small of your back, coaxing you in, pushing you against him.
the tension in your body starts to melt away, replaced by a dizzying rush of emotions that swirl within you; the longing, the desperation, and a flicker of hope that maybe this time will be different.
it won't be.
it never is.

Birthday girl - L. Heeseung
Pairing: heeseung X fem reader
Warnings: smut, unprotected sex, alcohol consumption, multiple orgasms, cursing, stepcest, daddy kink, dirty talk, cheating.
Genre: 18+, stepcest.
Word count: 2k+

âMom, just one, please. I promise itâll only be one.â It was your 21st birthday, and you celebrated in the kitchen with your mom and your stepdad as you begged her to let you have your first shot on the day you officially turned 21.
âNo, I never had a shot at 21,â she simply answers, turning away from you and putting away the leftover cake she had your stepdad buy from the store cause she apparently couldnât be bothered to get one for you herself.
âMom, come on, thatâs not fair!â You whined. âIâm literally an adult,â you reasoned.
âAnd youâre literally under my roof,â she replies back nonchalantly like she always does. You hated it when she acted like this.
She would always hold things over your head: no sleepovers, no parties, no boyfriends, no nothing, and itâs not cause she was looking out for you. Itâs cause she was jealous of you.
She always told you how she never got to have any of those things, and now you canât shake the feeling that even though she never directly said it to you, you feel like sheâs taking it out on her only daughter, which just isnât fair.
âDad!â You turned to heeseung your stepdad, looking for his approval, and he gave you the tiniest hint of a smile while folding his arms and resting against the kitchen counter.
You and your stepdad had a much better relationship than you and your mother, unlike her. He seemed to actually care about you, which is comical cause he wasnât even your real dad, and he treated you better than your mom ever did.
Heâd always vouch for you, defend you when arguments got too heated, and he never made you feel like you were always in the wrong, unlike your mother did.
His care for you did go a lot further than just how a stepdad would care for their stepchild because his hugs would last a couple of seconds too long. His kisses on the cheek were a little too affectionate, and he'd eye you when you wore revealing outfits a bit too much.
You didn't mind, though. You did it on purpose cause you liked the attention. He wasn't your real dad, and besides, you had met him so late in your life that you were already fully grown, and you didn't even see him as a father figure at all.
Dad never even crossed your mind when you thought about him. All you saw was a very attractive man, and you wondered how your strict, bitter mother landed a gem like him.
âYou heard your mom.â he swipes the cake as your mom sets it in the fridge and licks the frosting off his fingertip, humming at the sweet taste. âNow go upstairs and get ready for bed, young lady.â
You rolled your eyes and did as he said. You thought heâd vouch for you this time, too, but apparently not.
Little did you know he had other plans up his sleeve. He only said no to you cause he was not about to start a fight with his wife over you taking one measly shot, especially since it was your birthday.
His wife always had a way of making things about her just cause she didnât get a shot at 21. Why couldnât you? If he didnât know any better, heâd say his wife was jealous of her own daughter, and if heâs being honest, it was kinda getting on his nerves the way sheâd bitch at you all the time for virtually nothing.
When he married her, she was not like that at all, but once he moved in and you all became family, the whole dynamic changed. She paid more attention to scolding you than him.
He wasnât needy necessarily, but he did get lonely sometimes, especially in the bedroom, and heeseung noticed that you talked to him more than his own wife.
Which resulted in him developing maybe not a crush but a certain attraction to you, and to his luck, it was mutual between the two of you, considering all the shameless flirting you did back and forth.
At first, he felt a bit guilty, but with the way he was feeling in his marriage, he might as well have been single. Heâs not excusing his actions, but he definitely doesnât care or feel any shame in checking you out from head to toe on a daily basis.
Heâd be lying if he said he didnât spill his load in his palm once or twice at the thought of you.
How could he not when youâd purposefully bend over in front of him pretending that you dropped something or the way youâd push your chest against his whenever youâd hug?
You had already gotten ready for bed, sulking a bit as you leaned against the bed frame, scrolling on your phone.
Heeseung had joined his wife upstairs, lying next to her and sharing a quiet goodnight before they turned off the bedside lamps.
It was always like this: completely silent, no conversation, no talking about the day, no intimacy, absolutely nothing.
Even if he did try to talk, sheâd always say she was stressed or tired.
Another one of the reasons Heeseung didnât feel guilty for having feelings toward you was that you gave him the time of day.
He sighs putting his hands behind his head and staring at the celling finally after an hour passed his wife was fast asleep so he silently slipped out of bed and went to the kitchen where the cupboard was located pulling out a bottle of liquor one he bought expressly for you cause you had been going on all week about wanting to take a shot on your 21st.
He snuck over to your room, knocking on it softly, knowing youâd still be up. You were always up late.
You sighed and got out of bed tossing your blanket to the side and ripping open the door ready to be faced with your mom and some more of her shenanigans. âWha-â you stopped mid-way through, shocked to see that it was actually your stepdad instead, and you were pleasantly surprised to see he was in nothing but his underwear and a shirt.
âHey,â he laughs softly, waving a bottle of liquor in your face along with two shot glasses.
âH-hi,â you smile upon seeing the bottle.
âAre you gonna let me in? Or are you gonna wait for your mom to catch us?â He smirks and you open the door further to let him inâŠ

I imagine some would be very funny đ
Have a lovely dayyy! Mwamwa!
little hands, dark hearts!
homicipher cast meeting you and mr crawling's baby! > scarletella, silvair, chopped, hood, machete mr crawling baby saga! chapter 1 chapter 2
â§â á”á” đ â
Ëâź i think you can tell i have favs by the amount of length and detail some of these have dkjfhkdhdgj
warnings. lol just pure angst in mr. scarletella's
MR. SCARLETELLA
He stares. And he stares. And he stares.
The silence is suffocating, weighing heavier than the shadows beneath his feet. Dull, grey eyes bore into yours, searching for answers that you couldnât give.Â
Of course, he brought you here to be with him. You gave him all these lovely offerings, shedding beautiful blood in his name, stared directly into his eyes as he enveloped you, taking you to his domain- but you wouldnât give him your name. You stand there, swinging your crowbar, defiance burning in your eyes. Itâs not fear he sees, not submission, but anger- a raw, searing thing that slices through the quiet like a blade. And it confuses him. No, it infuriates him.
His grip on his umbrella tightens, the knuckles whitening. His lips twist into a scowl, but behind it, something softer flickers- an ache he doesnât know how to name. Heâs used to taking. Claiming. But you⊠youâre not like the others. Youâre still standing. Still staring. Still resisting.
And it only makes him want you more.
But then thereâs him.
That thing. That crawling, pathetic thing that dares to share the space you once offered to him.
What does that creature have that he doesnât? What pull does it hold over you, to make you look at it like that? Mr. Scarletella hates him. Oh, how he hates him. He hates your baby. Hates the way its small hands grasp at you, the way you cradle it against your chest as if itâs the most precious thing in your world. He hates the way your smile softens when you whisper to it, the way you laugh when it coos.
You look so happy. How could he take that away from you? And yet- how could you do this to him? You like him. He likes you. Why did you pick him?
The resentment pools in his chest like ink, sticky and dark. He wants to scream, to tear down this fragile illusion of happiness youâve built, to drag you back into his arms where you belong. And yet, his hands tremble. His scowl falters.
You look so happy.
And the thought guts him. How could he take that away from you?
His lips twitch, caught between a sneer and a sigh, as he looks away. For the first time, he doesnât know if heâs strong enough to take what he wants.
Mr. Scarletellaâs chest rises and falls, his breath unsteady. His umbrella clatters to the ground, forgotten as his hands flex and curl into fists at his sides. He steps closer, the air around him rippling with suppressed fury.
âWhy?â The question tears from his throat, jagged and raw, barely above a whisper. His crimson eyes gleam with something between desperation and rage. âWhy?â
Heâs staring at you again, but this time, thereâs no pretense of control. Just pain, naked and wild, burning in the shadows of his gaze.
You donât answer. How could you?
So, he waits. And he stares. And he waits.
MR. SILVAIR
Mr. Silvair holds your baby, careful and learning. His bandage gaze peers into the little eyes, baby babbling and cooing and reaching for his hair. He smiles, soft and curious.Â
His infatuation with your child is endless. How was it possible for you two to procreate? To create something from something undead, a ghost, a monster- and a perfectly normal human. Questions that he will never have answers for- questions he doesnât dare act upon. The baby is fragile, soft, and defenseless. He couldnât take it apart and put it back together- he canât break something that could never be fixed.
And the question eggs him at the back of his mind- what if it could?
His hands steady yet soft, as though heâs cradling the most fragile thing in existence. The baby babbles, tiny fists reaching for the loose strands of his silver hair, and when their fingers catch hold of it, she giggles with pure delight.
âThem like,â he observes, his voice unusually tender.
You stifle a laugh. âOf course she does. Itâs shiny. Babies love shiny things.â
His head tilts slightly, silver hair brushing against the babyâs chubby cheeks as they continue their determined mission to grab at more strands. âShiny good?â he asks, his curiosity genuine, as if this is just another puzzle heâs determined to solve.
âVery good,â you assure him, stepping closer to watch the two of them. âSheâs clearly a fan.â
The baby lets out a happy squeal, wriggling in his grasp. Silvairâs gaze flickers down to her, and though his eyes are hidden, thereâs something warm in his expression. âStrong grip,â he notes, âHealthy.â
You smile softly, leaning against the counter. âSheâs got her fatherâs energy, thatâs for sure.â
Mr. Silvair doesnât respond immediately, instead focusing on the baby as they try- and fail- to stuff one of his fingers into their tiny mouth. He gently redirects their hands, careful and patient. âSmall,â he murmurs, almost to himself. âImportant.â
His words catch you off guard, and you glance at him. âImportant?â
He looks up, tilting his head. âFrom you. Important. Interested in them.â
The simplicity of his statement warms something in your chest, even if he was purely fascinated with your child out of sheer scientific interest. Youâre not sure if he fully understands the weight of his words, but at this moment, it doesnât matter. Youâll take the softness of the moment.Â
The baby lets out another squeal, this one more demanding, and Mr. Silvair bounces them slightly in his arms, an action so natural it makes you blink in surprise. The baby quiets immediately, snuggling into his chest with a content sigh.
âGood,â he says, more to the baby than to you.Â
You canât help but laugh, the sound light and genuine. âShe likes you,â you comment with a shuffled laugh. Of all the monsters here, your child just has to like the one who tears you apart.Â
Mr. Silvair tilts his head again, his smile returning faintly as he glances down at the now-sleepy baby. âMe like them.â
âCute?â
âCute.â
MR. CHOPPED
âWant carry them,â Mr. Chopped pouts, cheeks puffed. âThem cute.â
âSheâs so cute, isnât she?â you chuckle.
The baby giggles, a toothless, gummy smile as bright as the sun. He frowned, his eyes narrowing in a mix of frustration and wistful longing. âMe carry. Want carry,â he repeated, his tone almost petulant.
âYouâd need arms for that,â you tease, bouncing the baby lightly on your hip. The baby squeals, her laugh infectious, and you couldnât help but grin down at her. âSheâs so happy to see you, though. Look, sheâs waving!â You guide her tiny hand in a slow wave toward Mr. Chopped.
His face lit up with exaggerated enthusiasm, his head tilting as he âleansâ closer, as if proximity would help convey his affection. âCute,â he said with deep conviction. âMany cute. Little human.â
The baby gurgles in response, her toothless smile lighting up her face. She reaches out as though she wants to grab him, her tiny fingers opening and closing in that delightful way babies do.
âSee?â you laugh. âShe wants to hold you!â
Mr. Choppedâs pout deepens dramatically. âUnfair. No arms. No hold. No carry. Me sad.â
You shook your head, amused. âYouâre fine, Mr. Chopped. She canât even hold her own head up for long; Iâm sure sheâs not judging you for not having arms.â
âBaby not judge,â he said solemnly, his voice tender. âBaby happy.â
âShe likes you,â you reassure him with a smile. âYouâve got that big, friendly face, and youâre always talking to her like sheâs the most fascinating thing in the world.â
âThem are,â he said matter-of-factly, his tone so earnest it made you laugh again.
âWell, maybe one day weâll rig up some kind of⊠carrier for you,â you offered jokingly. âSo you can hold her. Or at least let her sit in your lap- if you had one.â
Mr. Chopped perked up at that, his cheeks puffing out again with excitement this time. âYes! Make lap. Make arms. Then carry. Hug!â
âSheâd probably love that,â you said, kissing the babyâs soft head. She giggled again, her tiny hands reaching out toward Mr. Chopped, her eyes bright and full of wonder.
MR. HOOD
âNot understand,â Mr. Hood repeats.
You sigh. âYou have to support the back of her head,â you say, guiding his ghostly arm to the babyâs nape. âGentle. Sheâs fragile.â
âWeak,â he observes. âMuch small.â
âYeah,â you agree, âso we have to protect her.â
Mr. Hoodâs form shifts as he processes your instructions, the faintest hint of curiosity flickering through his voice. âProtect... small weak thing.â His hand hovers near the babyâs head. It trembles slightly, not from lack of strength but from hesitation- like a predator trying to handle something delicate for the first time.
You place your hands over his, guiding him with care. âThatâs right. Support her head. Babies canât hold their heads up yet.â
He tilts slightly, as though trying to look closer, though his featureless head offers no expression to read. The baby gurgles softly, her tiny fingers curling around one of his. The textureless appendage seems to surprise her, and she coos in delight, kicking her chubby legs.
âWhy small thing hold?â Mr. Hood asks, his voice edged with wonder.
âSheâs curious,â you explain, smiling at the sight. âShe doesnât know what you are, but she wants to hold on to you.â
âNot wise.â His tone is flat, but thereâs no malice in it. He shifts slightly, his massive frame dwarfing her. âMe danger. Not afraid?â
âShe doesnât know fear yet,â you say softly. âShe only knows what feels safe.â
His hand rests under the babyâs head and back now, cradling her with surprising gentleness. The contrast is almost surreal- his immense strength and amorphous form against the fragility of a newborn. The baby giggles again, wiggling in his hold.
âSmall thing⊠trust,â he murmurs, his tone almost contemplative.
âShe does,â you say, watching them with a warmth blooming in your chest. âAnd thatâs why we protect her.â
âProtect,â he repeats, as if testing the word. His grip shifts slightly, more confident. âProtect small thing. Understand.â
Itâs strange, seeing someone- or something- like Mr. Hood in this role, but in the quiet moment, his usual air of detachment seems to melt away. The baby yawns, her tiny body sinking deeper into his hold, completely at ease.
MR. GAP
âGive little thing,â Mr. Gap says from the vent, his voice more curious than menacing. You freeze, hand still cradling your baby close to your chest as his long, dark arm stretches out, holding something soft and fluffy- a teddy bear.
Your baby, who has been cooing and kicking her legs happily in your arms, notices the movement. Her bright eyes widen, and she reaches out toward the stuffed bear with an eager little giggle.
âGive them?â Itâs such an innocent request. Heâs just offering the bear, his dark figure so out of place in the light of the room, but thereâs something almost endearing about it.
You laugh softly, a smile tugging at your lips. âOh, sheâd love that,â you say. âSheâs been really into cuddly things lately.â
The baby coos again, her tiny hands reaching for the bear, almost as if she recognizes the gesture as a gift. She touches it gently, then pulls it closer to her chest in a little snuggle, her face lighting up with joy.
âSee? She likes it!â you say, glancing at Mr. Gap, your voice teasing. âThanks to you.â
Mr. Gap pulls back slightly, his hand retreating into the vent, but you catch a glimpse of a subtle shift in his posture- a pleased air about him, as if heâs satisfied with the outcome.
âThem happy?â he asks.
You smile warmly, watching the baby continue to clutch the teddy bear like itâs her new best friend. âYeah, sheâs happy. And that makes me happy.â
A soft, quiet chuckle seems to come from the vent, and you can almost imagine a small, pleased grin behind the shadows. âGood,â Mr. Gap says, his voice full of pride. âMe good.â
The bear is now in the babyâs tiny hands, and her sleepy eyes begin to flutter shut, the soft comfort of the stuffed toy pulling her into a drowsy stupor. You gently rock her back and forth, watching as she drifts off to sleep, clutching the bear to her chest like itâs the most important thing in the world.
âThank you, Mr. Gap,â you say softly, though heâs long disappeared back into his shadowy realm. Youâre not sure if he heard, but you still find yourself whispering it anyway.
And for a brief, fleeting moment, everything feels a little bit lighter.
MR. MACHETE
âWhat⊠that?â he asks, a finger lazily pointing at your baby nestled in your arms.
âItâs my baby!â you reply, pridefully, and cradle her for exaggeration. Within a second, your face falls firm, and you sternly say, âNo fighting little thing.â
âNot fight?â Mr. Macheteâs jagged smile turns into a comical looking frown. He scowls, and turns away. âNot interested.â
âMr. Macheteee,â you whine, âJust look at her! Isnât she just so cute?â
Mr. Machete pauses mid-step, his broad shoulders tensing at your words. He lets out a huff, loud and exaggerated, before reluctantly glancing over his shoulder. âCute?â he echoes, the word sounding foreign on his tongue. His tone is skeptical, almost offended. His machete falls to his side, an ear-scratching âclang!â that disturbs you more than your baby.
The baby coos, her tiny hands waving aimlessly in the air. Her bright, gummy smile beams up at him, and for a moment, Mr. Machete looks genuinely stumped.Â
âThem small. Shape wrong,â he notes, leaning in closer. His massive frame looms over her, but he makes no move to get too close. âWeak. No teeth. Cannot hold attack tool.â
He stares at the baby a moment longer, his scowl softening ever so slightly as the baby giggles, a bright, happy sound that cuts through his rough demeanor like a blade. She reaches toward him, her tiny fingers grabbing at the air, and for reasons you donât quite understand, he doesnât immediately pull away.
The babyâs determination seems to intrigue him. He tilts his head and extends a single finger- not a threatening move, but cautious, almost testing. Her tiny hand catches his finger, and she grips it tightly, her toothless grin growing impossibly wider.
âThem strong,â he finally admits, his voice low but tinged with what could almost be considered respect. âWhen little thing big, fight.â
You roll your eyes. Well, at least he gave your baby some attention.

READER YOU GOING TO LISTEN TO THIS DUMB ASS JERK!! who you have seen treated rafe badly in the past, nah he was the one that needed to cut off his balls so he wasn't fertile cause he don't really love his kids just sees them as fucking pawns in his little game.
listen i know she's vulnerable but come on, do you really think that's the right decision?? i know taking care of a baby is a lot of work but it's all worth it in the end, watching them grow up.
she should consider how she would feel after aborting knowing that she let ward convince her into doing it, plus not even talking to rafe about it like its her decision but at least talk it out with him. he's going to be devastated cause although he's scared to (it's not only reader that's scared but also him, he was excited for the little baby) and when he finds out this happened, he's going to be heartbroken so i understand if he's the one to break it off with reader.
i still believe she keeps the baby and just separate from rafe and his family and raise the baby on her own and then rafe and her reconect after the baby is born because ain't no way.
i hate ward, i hope he gets killed off in the series... and fuck sarah too while i am it.
