“What’s wrong?”

“Huh?” Leo looked up from his random tinkering when he heard the raspy voice. 

Chase stood beside his old mission specialist desk, arms folded. “I can hear your foot tapping even upstairs. What’s up?”

“Nothin’.”

Chase stared at him.

“Why do you have to be the one with the smart chip?”

“Why are you such a terrible liar?”

Leo pouted at him.

Chase mock pouted back.

“Why aren’t you sneezing?”

“Why are you changing the subject?”

“Otis II is sniffing your foot.”

“Douglas altered my nose to be able to handle dog hair. Now answer.”

“Make me.”

“I have all kinds of shark facts-”

“Okay!” Leo exclaimed, throwing his project down. Chase smirked victoriously.

Leo shifted to sit criss-cross, spinning his chair as he tried to find the words. 

Chase waited patiently, hopping onto the desk so Otis II didn’t eat his shoe.

“...I don’t like this.”

“Like what?”

“Being here.”

Chase raised an eyebrow. 

“I… I dunno. I mean, on the island, I wanted nothing more than to come home again. But… I feel… restless. Like I’m not doing anything. Funny, considering I was dying from the load of work.”

“You don’t know how to take a break, because you’ve been so wired to work lately. Even breathing makes you feel like it’s unproductive and useless.”

Leo peeked at him.

“Believe me, man, it’s a leader thing. Genetic.”

“I’m adopted.”

“I keep forgetting,” Chase snorted.

Leo sighed, petting the pomeranian’s head when he moved to him.

“It’s hard. To step back. I’m still really bad at resting. But hey, you’re not alone. And can always speak to me. Or don’t speak on it, and we can build something or watch your terrible movies or really just hang out, whatever works.”

 Leo smiled, leaning back in his chair. “I missed you.”

Chase poked his cheek. “It was mutual.”

the sweetest part about this scene is that chase "smartest man in the world" who stores billions of petabytes of data on his chip legitimately forgets that he's only had a little brother for four years

Happy PRIDE Month, everyone!!! And because it is the month of Pride, I found it very fitting to post about the family that best represent it. 😉 Sorry I have nothing for Radioapple week, you guys. Between working on my #HHStargazersAU and other school projects, I might just go INSANE. Haha! I know there's a lot of info, but while a lot of these seem random, I assure y'all that there will be explanations for them in the future. I'm leading y'all up to something fun! Besides that, Bonus fact: Lucius is a diehard Chaggie shipper. Happy to have this pretty future daughter-in-law for his perfect baby girl. (He's just like me fr. 😩🤌🤌) Also, I realized that with the scale of my usual world building, ya'll will have to do a fair bit of reading in the future. So from now on, consider this AU as more of an "Artfic" than just comics. It's format ever changing to suit this and that part of my story. My very own passion project! sam being raised in a very military household is so important to me. calling his parents as ma'am and sir, getting married in a navy uniform,,, i don't think he would've ever enlisted but that idea was probably always hanging over his head, that was probably why he was so rebellious and so against authority, "see? i'm not fit to be an obedient soldier!"

getting married to the farmer and getting to live a comfortable, peaceful life would've been such a breath of fresh of air.

My little brother declared himself the foremost #1 world expert on jackalopes when he was 8. He'd talk about them constantly, pretend he knew everything about their life cycle and habits. He said they ate only Scooby Snacks, because Scooby Doo was his other big obsession at the time. He especially loved that horrible little nephew dog, it drove me crazy. We went to Six Flags one year and he absolutely ruined the entire trip by talking about jackalopes nonstop because he knew it was annoying me, I was so mad. It's funny, how now that he's gone I remember that day with such fondness.

As an adult he uhhhhh acquired two plates that had been used in the officer's quarters of the real life USS Enterprise, because he knew I love Star Trek. He felt they'd be better appreciated in my possession and so I own them now and the US military just doesn't know where two of their plates went.

As soon as I saw @claypigeonpottery 's art and their jackalopes I knew they were the right person to make something to complete the set. This was an emotionally intense process for me because I needed an extremely specific mood and finished product. I was asking for a physical representation of my memories of my dead brother as a child. And they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Here is a jackalope, looking up at the stars, with scooby snacks at its feet. I love it.

Following my painting about Mae taking part in Eagle Clan's bonding ceremony, here's her eagle all grown up! Mae names her Luna, or Eagle Moon, to match with Noa's Eagle Sun - she's also a leucistic bird (nearly albino) with beautiful white plumage occasionally mixed with a golden feather here and there, so she really does look like the moon XD

Also, contrasting Sun's snarky self, I imagine Moon would be very sweet and affectionate with Mae loll and Noa too!

The cutest reminder ever that the way family works in TSAMS canon is that two parties have to be in mutual agreement that they are family. If one party doesn't agree then they aren't family. Parties can revoke familial ties whenever they want and that means they are no longer family.

"Code Relation" theory is stupid because you're then implying that Eclipse is Sun and Moon's child. Which he isn't. Or that Killcode is somehow Moon's child and his brother at the same time that he's Eclipse, Lunar and Bloodmoon's "father" at the same time that they're Sun and Moon's grand children. Like, we're seeing the issue here, right?

Don't make things more complicated than it has to be. Just accept the fact that family is literally determined by a verbal agreement between two animatronics and nothing else because none of them were born from wombs. That means respecting canon when characters in canon decide that they aren't comfortable being family (like Eclipse) or just straight-up disown everyone (like Bloodmoon). It's okay to have headcanons, but don't try to push them onto canon.
