speculating on ghast biology because ima nerd >:3

soooo the ghast has been in minecraft so long that most of us just kind of accepted and forgot about them, but a detail from the recent reveal gave me an idea!!

so the way you raise the new happy ghast mob is by venturing into the nether and obtaining this shrivled lil man

you then rehydrate it and it turns into a baby ghast which you can raise! but to get it to grow up you have to feed it snowballs to "help them cool off," so it evidently requires water, and is inherently quite hot

now, looking at the nether ghasts, they are big, they constantly cry, and spit fireballs at the player. on top of that, they seem to have skin that almost looks drier or more aged than the happy ghast (its hard to tell, but the decals are notably darker on the nether ghast)

so if they require water and like to cool down with snowballs, i think this could be emplying that they are a sort of living hot air balloon, likely having some form of organ to heat up its inner air to float around!! thus, in the hot dry nether they would likely overheat, causing them pain (leading to the crying) and potentially even being the reason they spit fire!! plus their diet in the nether is prob quite mineral heavy, so even the fire charge recipe could make sense! (hehehe the ghasts are barfin on you >:3 )

okay, i've had this idea for a longggg time, but it would be a series, and i alr have two series technically going atm so idkkkkk, BUT it's super cheesy and cliche and angsty and romantic and UGHHHHHH

basically the trope is pogue x kook, childhood bestfriends to strangers to lovers w my babygirl rafe ofc !!!

he and the reader met at the beach as kids shortly after his mom died and became best friends because she was the only one that could make him feel better. reader made him a bracelet that he never took off throughout all their years as friends. when he became a teenager, he began to start on his kook "i dont hang out with pogues" BULLSHIT. then, he asks reader meet up one night to hang out, in the woods so he won't be seen with her bc he's a little BITCH, and the final straw for reader was showing up and realizing that for the first time in the entirety of their friendship, he had taken the bracelet off (a little dramatic but it was the principle. to her, it was just the cherry on top of a long list of shitty stuff he'd done)

and yeah, angst ensues, and i don't want to give away the whole plot, but.... yeah, it gets cray.
