I love pecharunt soo much..could u do headcanons for a poison type trainer caring for Pecharunt and Pecharunt loving his new trainer? (Reader gives Pecharunt a new loving home!) 🥺 Maybe some thoughts on the Paldea squad still not trusting Pecharunt (maybe sum jealous Arven bc reader is paying more attention to the pokemon instead of him.?)
Obviously, Pecharunt tried to stay closed-off after what happened between him and his original caretakers.
His quest to satisfy their ever-growing wishes soon led to tragedy..and he didn't wanna suffer through that again.
So after waking up he turns the whole town of Mossui against you and your friends, not wanting to let anyone in.
But in his eyes you seemed determined to make him feel as miserable as possible..especially as you sent Okidogi, Fezandpiti, and/or Munkidori against him after defeating Nemona.
The betrayal stung, seeing his former friends who died to protect him from Ogerpon now siding with humans and attacking him.
After being caught and lifting the town's "curse", he feels humbled, hiding away in his shell even as you introduce him to the rest of your team:
One made of poison types.
Although most of them looked scary and seemed difficult to care for, you learned how to tend to their needs without getting yourself hurt by their toxins, and that made your bonds with them grow stronger by the day.
You hoped to achieve something similar with Pecharunt, knowing it'll be a challenge but willing to try.
He was reclusive around your party members, but not you.
In fact, he quickly grew to love having you as his trainer, yet he was convinced that making mochi was the only way to secure that connection with you--and that if he couldn't win every battle, you'd think he was weak and abandon him.
But you knew that 8x weakness of his would be a problem, and even with an impressive defense..losses were inevitable, and you'd have to calm him down whenever he throws a fit over losing or if you refuse to send him into a fight you knew he won't win.
You eventually learn his story (and why the Loyal Three meant so much to him) through some old texts Kieran's grandparents lent you, and after reading them you just give him a hug and say "I'm sorry."
That's all you said.
It was so simple, yet enough to make Pecharunt cry and realize you would unconditionally love him and give him a permanent home. No mochi necessary. He had nothing to fear.
Of course, though, even after you share all of this and his growth with your Paldean friends, they still warn you to be careful around him.
Arven was more upset about being forced to do a stupid dance than being forced to battle you, still giving the mythical 'mon the cold shoulder every time he sees you two hanging around.
"You embarrassed me in front of my best friend..don't think I'll forget that." He always remarks while Mabosstiff gives him the side eye(tm).
You, however, know he's just getting jealous of you giving more attention to some Pokémon (like a certain legendary dragon) than him and tease him about it.
Of course, Pecharunt is still up to his mischievous ways: he'll mess around with Arven by snuggling up to you, sneaking mochi into his sandwiches, and just being a little shit in general.
Are you fully aware of this? Yes.
Will you stop it? Probably not. It's amusing.
#pecharunt is baby full stop#ive been meaning to draw him too but until then here's this <3#clanask#anonymous#pokemon x reader#pokemon sv x reader#pokemon scarlet x reader#pokemon violet x reader#pecharunt#headcanons

Today in Gay People: Hassel.
There's something I've noticed about our resident art teacher, and that's... well, Flapple. I mean, we all know how gay the whole Applin deal is, but... well, it's where it is that's particularly interesting.
This is Steven Stone's team.
This is Cynthia's team...
This is Wallace's team...
I could go on. (And yes, I'm using champions because, like Hassel, they're important, powerful NPCs with a proper team, and let's be real here, Hassel is five minutes, that Tournament Dragonite and a fuck to give away from kicking Geeta out of his office.)
But the point here is... well, that penultimate slot. The fifth slot in a champion's team - or fourth, in Hassel's case - is reserved for the vice-captain role. It's the Pokemon hardest to take down before the ace, meant to weaken you up - the secondary signature mon. We see here with Milotic - defence for days, Marvel Scale, offensive too. And we see it with Armaldo - excellent attack, difficult type. And then we see it with Gyrados - Dragon Dance, Earthquake, power. Utility. That second-to-last slot is designed to weaken you up for the finale, the real powerhouse of the squad. Leon does it too - his fifth slot is the starter strong against yours, the one you may not have a counter to if your team-building isn't on point.
... And then we have Hassel.
... Now, there's a few things to note here.
Flapple shares the same quad weakness as Noivern, which leads. That's, er... different.
Flapple, statistically, is the weakest Pokemon here. Not by a lot - Dragalge is only ten points or so better, but it's a defensive Pokemon. It's meant to fill that role, as well as being a counter to Fairies.
Flapple isn't the utility mon most penultimate-slot mons are.
... And yet, here it is. Now, I could draw upon Hassel's six-mon Tournament team here, which adds Dragonite into this slot instead, but the Tournament is Hassel fucking about. He's been chilling in the staffroom and someone's gone "oh, that champion-rank kid's up, get out here." The Elite Test line-up is him at work. He's specifically chosen to leave a pseudo-legendary at home... for Flapple.
And why would he do that? @edgeanescence pointed out on the EphemeralArt Discord that the penultimate slot is meant to represent the trainer; the personality and the heart of them, as well as acting as vice-captain. And, well...
Cynthia's is a Milotic. Grace, beauty, the defence of Sinnoh against Cyrus.
Steven's is an Armaldo. A fossil, a Rock-type, the strongest of all fossils at the time - perfect sentiments for him.
Wallace's is a Gyrados. Power, controlled by a former eighth gym slot; ferocity in water.
... And Hassel's is a Flapple. Like him, she has power, but what she represents as a Grass/Dragon is much more important to him than raw offence or defence. She is his softness; she is his tears, and pride in his students; she is part-Brassius. Whether Brassius gave him the Flapple or not is irrelevant, though it's pretty compelling that he did - this man takes a representation of his heart and of his love into battle over the Dragonite, who has 120 more points of stats. By rights, even if he's leaving the Dragonite at home, Haxorus should be here if this is about power, not Flapple.
And you can tell me that it's about game balance as much as you like, but oh look:
Brassius's rematch team, everyone, and look at that penultimate slot.
Look at that Arboliva sculpture, with Brass's own spikiness and Dragon-type purple-tinged blue.
Brassius is not like Appletun, the obvious counterpoint here. Brassius is drama; Brassius is a man formerly weak, much like Smoliv; Brassius is not home comforts, apple pies, yet he's surprisingly kind and encouraging. Reminding you of anything?
... Ah, yes. Arboliva, depending on mood. And, if you're not already convinced...
That's Flapple, in the Violet dex. Strong, and covered in clay. Like a fucking artist, or a man who loves a sculptor.
When the chips are down, when they show up to work, when they have important, key battles, Hassel and Brassius don't just take their Pokemon to the arena.
They take themselves, and they take each other.
#ephemeralartshipping#brassius x hassel#brassius#hassel#pokemon scarlet and violet#... you know I'd say I was done with these old gays at this point#but who the fuck am I kidding#I haven't even done the artazon art yet lmao#honestly game freak what the fuck#I am so desperately normal about these old men#*soft scream*

Oh man, I think the Circle of the Crimson Mirror might just be MY Candela circle. I enjoyed the goofy schlock horror with the Circle of the Vassal and the Veil, and really enjoyed the amping up of horror in The Circle of Needle and Thread (though the horrors of war theming was not specifically for me, it was still well done). I haven’t gotten to watch the Circle of Tide and Bone because life happened, but from what I’ve heard it was very good.
But I was laughing out loud with glee for the first episode of the Circle of the Crimson Mirror. All these characters are delightful. The setting is fascinating (starting out OUTSIDE of Newfaire and expanding the world was really fun), the theming of Irish folklore horror gives a folk horror mixed with cosmic horror vibe that I’m really excited for. And Liam is just the sort of ruthless DM that is perfect for a horror game. Because for me, keeping your players wrapped up in the horror, making them at least a little genuinely afraid (after talking through Lines and Veils of course) in a fun and contained way IS the heart of playing a horror game. It’s the same as watching a horror movie, in that you WANT to be scared, that’s part of the enjoyment, but in a horror game the fun is having it happen to you.
And both folk horror and cosmic horror are some of my favorite subgenres, so this is hitting all my favorite sorts of horror. And because it’s me, see below for my much longer thoughts about this first episode and the characters. Because I’ve never found a topic I enjoy that I can’t write an essay about.
Liam comes for everyone straight out of the gate, doesn’t he? While I found the train cold open in chapter 2 exciting, I found this even more harrowing. With NPCs we barely know constantly imperiled, all the investigators are really sketched so clearly right off the bat with their actions rather than their more open explanations later. I love that all of them lean heavily into being out of their depth, even sometimes making poor choices because of it. The players are aware they are in a horror game. The characters are not.
So let’s talk about those characters:
MALCOLM TRILLS
Imari Williams was the player at the table I had no prior experience with, and I love what he’s doing here. He puts his whole body into acting out the scene, even at the table. Even before we know he was a Sole Survivor of a massacre during the war (and I found it deeply entertaining that Imari couldn’t help but dump his backstory all over the floor. Liam’s gently encouraging everyone to hold it back for dramatic moments, and Imari is just so excited he’s like “NO! HERE IT IS!” not once but twice in the very first episode), we knew that. Because Imari is clearly dedicated to acting that out through what Malcolm chooses to do. He believes in saving others, especially after losing his entire squad. He has to do it, even (or maybe especially) for those civilians he doesn’t know. His entire point in being in Candela is saving people. So when Liam dunks two unnamed sailors in the ocean, Malcolm goes in. His friends are horrified. They love and value him, and they value him more than two randos. But to him, the randos are the point. Saving people is the point. So no matter how many disappointed dad-lectures he gets from Leo (and this is clearly not the first one he’s gotten), Malcolm is always going to be this way. He’s always going to try to play the hero in a horror setting, which is such a delicious choice for a horror player to make. Everyone at that table knows how perilous it is, but Imari is fully committed, and I love it.
We already know a lot of his background, but there are things we don’t know. We don’t know his relationship with his family, or why Leo is so disdainful of the Trills as a group. There seems to be an implication that the Trills are old money in Newfaire, perhaps, or at least a legendary family for other reasons. And apparently reckless heroism is a family trait. But what does Malcolm do in his day-to-day? He’s the one we don’t have a career or life for back in Newfaire yet, and I am interested to see who he is when he’s not playing the hero for Candela.
LEO AMICUS
I love the description of “I’m going to lie a little and say ‘early forties’” as an explanation for Leo’s age. It tells me a lot about his character right off the bat. We know he’s older (but not how much) and that he doesn’t want to admit he’s older. There’s just a touch of vanity already there, and given that he’s also a man in a dressing gown on a ship in a severe storm, who thinks that his presence is deeply inappropriate? Who asks if there’s a bar on a tramp steamer? We know so much about Leo already, and I love it all. Taliesin plays a dandy so well, his table reactions are so expressive, and it’s so clear that a setting like this is NOT where Leo shines. He shines in social situations, in parties and bars and places where his charms mean something beyond keeping a crewmember calm long enough that she can be knocked unconscious. But he’s so great in being totally overwhelmed and being useless in an action sequence.
And once the storm is over? We find out that Leo is very much the mother hen of the group (probably the oldest member). He knows Malcolm well, and treats Grimoria like a beloved niece. We haven’t gotten a lot of interactions between him and Edgar, but I’m excited to see what their relationship is like, as the two more cautious members of the group.
It was in his interactions with the other members of the circle that I realized how much like family this circle is. They are VERY close, despite ostensibly just being coworkers. There is such a deep care and concern for one another here and I love knowing how dangerous that also is in a horror game. And Leo is the one most open about his attachments here. We know he doesn’t have much blood family, and doesn’t talk to them. We know he looks at these people as his family.
And I love that, for that family, we see a REALLY different side of Leo. While he was overwhelmed and trying not to look at the blood on the boat, the second the Murphy girls (or whatever was masquerading as them) tried to murder Malcolm and the others, Leo was grabbing kitchen knives and trying to kill them. His perspective from his talk with Malcolm also remains consistent: you put your family first. When his family is threatened, meek Leo melts away and we have a man who will do whatever is necessary, kill whoever is necessary, or let anyone die to protect them. He seems to have few moral convictions, but an enormous amount of love, and that excites me for this character.
And I love that we actually know very little about him right now. We know he lives in Red Lamp (because of course he does) and that his apartment doubles as their chapterhouse. So he can be Team Dad at every meeting.
Also congrats to him for getting laid in the very first episode. Hot sailor dude propositions him, and Leo is all about that life. This Professional Man of Leisure is clearly gay catnip.
DR. EDGAR LYCORIS
I was so excited that Alex was finally going to be in a filmed Candela game (he was apparently one of the play-testers during its development, and it’s so clear he knows the rules). Dr. Lycoris is cool, calm, almost robotic in his presentation. He’s definitely a classic Alex character with his calm and his normal-guy-in-a-group-of-weirdos vibe (while secretly being very much a weirdo himself), and filled with casual competence and rudeness. But at the same time there are hints of how much he cares about this circle too. Him quietly calling Grimoria ‘Grim’ when she’s unconscious and he’s tending to her, telling her, “You can’t sleep forever, Grim,” in such a fond tone. The two of them clearly have some quiet history together, and there is a real softness between them that I’m excited to see them dig into as they get deeper into the game. There’s clearly a long-standing connection with Malcolm too, with both of them extremely aware of one another’s skills and weaknesses, working together seamlessly, especially in moments of extreme stress. I want to see more of these soft moments, these personal moments when his icy demeanor cracks, and I imagine we’re going to get plenty of them, given that THIS is how intense the first episode was.
He and Leo are the two characters we know the least about at this point. We know that Edgar is a surgeon working in the main hospital in Newfaire. We know that he is cool under pressure, and that he is both used to fighting (his immediate shift into using his scalpel as a precision weapon to go after arteries and tendons is such a nice touch for the character), but also can really be shocked by sudden violence (I love that he totally freezes after THAT happened to Declan’s mother). He states that he wears nice and fashionable clothing, but the clothing is almost wearing him rather than the other way around, like someone picked them out for him. I want to know who that other person is (is it Leo???). I want to know who he is when he’s not trying to wear what other people expect of him.
I am so excited to get to know Dr. Lycoris.
GRIMORIA
Likely a stage name, and I do wonder if we'll get her birth name, or if that even matters to her at this point. Mechanically, I am thrilled to see a Candela player try to homebrew a multiclass in this system. She’s essentially gone for a Medium/Magician hybrid. We know she works as a procurer of esoteric artifacts. She performs shows with smoke bombs, so likely is a stage magician, and that she has been able to channel spirits since she was a small child.
And we know that she’s 18. In a group in which consists of a man who is at least in his mid-forties, a man who is 32, and a man who is a surgeon (so has at least obtained advanced training, and is probably in his late twenties at minimum, and is likely in his thirties given the hints that he served as a battlefield surgeon during the war), Grimoria is YOUNG. Absurdly so. The guys care about her in a different way than they do one another. They look out for her in subtle ways, though are all very careful not to treat her as a child. The softness between her and Edgar is reflected in the overtly familial way that Leo talks to her, treating her like a very clever niece, but also the person he finds the most calming in the group. It’s fun to see that, even though he treats her as his relative, he doesn’t treat her as a child. She’s the one he goes to when he needs to clear his head. He just wants to listen to her read aloud. He finds talking with her soothing, and it’s clear why. She has a good head on her shoulders, and is rising to the occasion, so while he is caring for her, he also intrinsically understands her need to care for him as well. And Aimee really sells that in-between nature of being 18. It’s such a great portrayal of someone on the verge of being an adult, but not quite there yet. Someone her friends want to care for, but also want to treat like an adult and like any other member of the group. There is a tension in those relationships purely because of her age.
I also like that she’s the most pure investigator of the group. She’s the one who pushes for information, who has a burning desire to KNOW. And that’s a great flaw and danger for a character in a horror setting. The desire for knowledge in cosmic horror is so dangerous. Her willingness to channel spirits right off the bat is dangerous. She is, in her own quieter way, just as reckless as Malcolm and I love to see it. Aimee is throwing herself into this, playing a character who doesn’t know she has limits let, and is eager to push every boundary. I can’t wait to get to know her even more.
CONCLUSIONS
I love that we have two cautious characters and two reckless characters. I love that we have a balance, and we have a group that instantly portrays exactly how close they all are to one another. We’re not sure how these bonds were forged, but they are so well portrayed and so clear. These people love one another. They would do terrible things for one another, and I can’t wait to see what they go through together.
Count me very excited and very eager for next month’s addition to their story (and count me already sad we only get three episodes with them).

{18Trip} The 18 Questions Corner - Kurama Ushio
This is a translation for the 18 questions interview uploaded on the official Youtube channel. I suggest to read this translation alongside it!
Note: P stands for "Player", this series has a voiced male & female character for the player. The interviews are conducted by the male player in this case.
TL note:
Context for “robomama” currently eludes me. It is most likely a reference to a book series of the same name by Emily Smith (Robomum). Further investigation makes me believe this is potentially a book elementary schoolers read in Japan and have to make book reports over, or simply a story read to children. More material is required to solidify this hypotheses, however.
P: 18 questions for the Tourism Ward Mayors! We look forward to your cooperation!
Ushio: Whatever, this better be tacked onto my pay.
What’s your name?
Kurama Ushio
How old are you?
Only 16.
Tell us about your occupation!
2nd year at Asu High, club’s Bon Appetit Cooking Club. Am the chief too more or less.
What’s the first thing you do when waking up in the morning?
Go right back to sleep. Well, Mu-chan won’t let me have it though.
Anything you’re particular about with lunch?
I eat where there’s no one around.
What pops up in your mind when it comes to “evening”?
Clubroom? It’s ‘round that time for students to be doing club activities.
What’s your routine before bed?
Scouring social media. Not a chance I’d let peak fiction slip through my fingers.
Where do you start with washing your body?
Hah? What kinda question is this- you trying to harass me or what?
What’s essential when leaving for a trip?
A disinfectant spray. Not a fan of people getting all their hands over stuff.
What do you check before traveling somewhere?
Uuuh… aquariums.
What’s your favorite method of transportation for traveling?
Bicycle. Mostly ‘cuz it feels like I’m going out with Mu-chan though.
What’s one item you’d bring to a deserted island?
Robomama.
Please give us some fanservice!
✧・゚: *You're welcome to try my signature chocolate sweets- Here, bon appetit.*:・゚✧ …What? It’s a famous quote from the legendary “Patti-Battle!”
Who’s someone you’d lean on for support?
Mu-chan.
Who would you swap bodies with for a day?
Evening Squad’s Azekawa-san.
What would you want to do as them?
It’s more about the fact that he’s always hygienic and cleaner than humans are.
Pass on a message to your roommates!
Mu-chan. Can’t you spare me from doing an overhead throw on me as a last resort when waking me up?
Tell us from the heart, what’s a “journey” to you?
Finding out about the local ingredients and broadening my palate, probably.
P: Thank you, those were all 18 questions!
Ushio: Sure sure, good work.
Ushio: HAMA’s 9th Ward Mayor, Kurama Ushio. Pretty out of pocket to put a highschooler in charge of tourism. Well, I can pretty much do anything when it comes to baking sweets though.

My take on the Jude slander after RMA vs ManCity
8th April 2024
I have seen so many people straight up hating Jude for yesterday’s game, and I just can’t stay silent anymore, so enjoy my little rant.
Playing football, especially on the level of Real Madrid is (apart from skill and mindset) also a lot about building and keeping rhythm. This applies to any team but also to each and every player - Toni Kroos has mentioned this a couple of times already but I’m sure you can find a lot more players talking about this.
So let’s take a look at Judes appearances in 2024:
started the year strong with 5 games (Copa del Rey (1), Supercopa (2) and LaLiga (2))
missed the away game vs UD Las Palmas (27th January) due to a yellow suspension
played three games in LaLiga again
missed three more games due to his ankle injury (LaLiga (2), UCL (1))
played the away game vs Valencia and got THAT red card
missed two more LaLiga games due to the suspension
his first (and last) game before the one vs City was the game against Bilbao last week
-> all in all he played 12 (5 of which were in January) out of 19 games total (not counting international games)
Compared to that the games he missed this season in 2023:
the home game benched against UD Las Palmas (27th Sept)
one game benched vs Braga in the UCL (8th Nov)
one game due to shoulder injury against Valencia (11th Nov)
-> in 2023 he played 21 out of 24 games total (not counting international games)
Yes I expected a better performance from him (and Vini!).
Yes we are Real Madrid and no player stands above the club (if you don’t show up we will hold you accountable for your mistakes).
Yes a player like Jude should be able to compensate a missing rhythm with his talent and skill but he is still very young. Older players like Lukita can rely on 10+ years of playing in the white shirt on the highest level possible, he only needs seconds even when he spends more time on the bench than the pitch. Jude is still learning and has shouldered an unusually huge responsibility in his first season.
Normally our young transfers are give time to adjust at Real, they were/are not guaranteed starters, for example:
Camavinga was mostly used as a sub in 21/22
Rodrygo wasn’t even a regular part of the first squad in 19/20, and was still used as a super sub in 21/22
Vini rarely was part of the starting XI in 19/20
Tchouameni had his fair share of being subbed on/off last season (although less than one would expect)
Brahim was sent away on loan
Arda sadly rarly gets playtime as well etc etc
Jude however has started almost every game, he scored more goals than our two wingers and is carrying Zidanes legendary “5” on the back (while Vini only got Ronaldos Hazards “7” this season, even though Hazard never really played in these last years and Real could’ve reasonably taken the number away from him)
So to all those that are hating on him, that are saying he’s loosing form, he’s overhyped and overrated and I have even heard he apparently “partyed too much”. To the ones that were only praying for his downfall waiting for a bad game - please kindly shut up!
Criticism is good and healthy, but there is no need to slander him like this. It was ONE very bad game and unfortunately it was against ManCity, as long as he shows up next week everythings gonna be fine. Regardless of this he has saved our asses way more than he’s let them down this season. Give him a some time and he’ll come back and be the Judey starboy we all know and love.
#football is a fast paced world and in moments like these i hate it so much#this was supposed to be short#and fun#but here we are#my inability to get to the point is showing#but i don’t care#enjoy the chaos that this post has become#judey starboy#jude bellingham#real madrid

So you talking Mass Effect reminded me of a conversation my friend and I had a couple of years ago. See we’ve made it a tradition of playing through the trilogy every five years since it’s in both of our top five fav series. He prefers Renegade Maleshep and I prefer Paragon Femshep which is basically the only thing we differ on.
So, reviving the old debate for a bit we wondered who gave the better portrayal as Commander Shepard , we never really cared before but we were curious now. Ultimately though we came to the conclusion that both Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer give excellent portrayals, but they really portray different aspects of Shepard well.
Mark Meer’s portrayal is Commander Shepard, the legendary soldier. The strong fighter and figure who single handedly held back the Skyllian Blitz, who blasted through a geth army to reach and defeat Saren, and who led a squad to the center of the universe to destroy the Collector base. His voice acting greatly improved over the years, but he never managed to completely lose the flat-tone, but that just helps to portray him as the “I’ll get the job done” bad-ass soldier.
Jennifer Hale’s portrayal on the other hand is Commander Shepard, the person/charismatic leader. She’s the Shepard who made a family out of her crew and successfully united the galaxy against a common enemy. The one who inspires you to follow her to hell because you 100% believe that she has your back and trusts you completely to have hers. She also gives a stronger portrayal of Shepard’s lows and reminds you that Shepard is a person under all of the legend.
Overall, they both give stellar performances, just one covers a certain base better than the other which could be why the debate sparked in the first place all those years ago.
So what are your thoughts on this?
For reference, I have played Renegade Femshep btw and my friend has played Paragon Maleshep which is how we figured out our preferences so we have experience on both sides of the moral compass.
I'm not sure I'll be able to give an unbiased perspective because I just...can't play renegade. To me Mass Effect and the fight against the Reapers is uniting as many as I can and forming strong bonds.
I think in my average playthrough I pick renegade options like..twice?
Also, while I've *tried* to play Maleshep...I just can't and I have to agree about Meer's performance. I feel like Jen Hale's voice acting is leagues better. Especially when it comes to humor and comedic timing.
Now all that out of the way, I definitely feel like paragon Femshep is the definitive way to play the ME trilogy. Being paragon allows you to experience more conversations, save more people and it makes the potential end of everything a lot more, well, fun.
You can face just about anything with friends by your side. Without them, the universe is a cold and lonely place.
That final walk through the Normandy where you talk to all of your friends is just so warm. I can't imagine treating them like anything other than your dearest, closest family.

Hi! How are you? I saw that headcanon requests are open, so I was wondering if you would be willing to do platonic Giyuu and Tanjiro. Personally, I think they give off wholesome big bro/little bro vibes, but I would love to hear your head canons on these two, either tickles or non-tickles (or both!). It’s cool if you’re not interested, just thought I’d ask! Thank you! And I hope you have an awesome day!
Oo, absolutely! I love Giyu and Tanjiro- their bond is so wonderful! I've gotcha covered! :D
-Training together becomes a regular thing for them after a while. Giyu's soft spoken but patient, and Tanjiro's always eager to learn. Occasionally the Kamaboku squad will join, following their newfound “Big brother” for sword technique advice and various other things. Most of the time though, it’s usually just Tanjiro. Sometimes they cover water breathing techniques, and other times they simply sit and talk for a while.
-They get food together a lot. The local Udon shop recognizes them from how often they visit to eat post missions and training. Giyu likes it because he feels less awkward in the crowd, and Tanjiro likes it because he gets to spend more time with Giyu. Much like their meetups, they’ll sit and talk for awhile- sometimes falling into comfortable silences as they slurp down the tasty noodles.
-Tanjiro takes great pride when he can make Giyu laugh or smile- though he’ll never confess such a thing out loud. It feels really good, telling a solid joke or a funny story that gets a different expression from the older man. Giyu is rather hard to impress, so the few times he breaks and lets himself laugh feels like a trophy.
-Giyu is a grand listener- he’ll sit by and listen as Tanjiro vents, rages, cries, laughs- whatever the kid needs in that moment. He understands loss well, so even if he doesn’t know how to phrase what he wants to say, his presence alone helps tremendously. His hugs are a tad stilted and tense, but the genuine care is there.
- While he may not be great with speaking them, Giyu is good at writing words. Before missions, he’ll write individual letters to the Kamaboku squad- a “Just in case I’m gone” kind of deal. If he were to die on one of these demon hunts, he wants them to know how much they mean to him and how they’ve made his life better. They never see them, but he does show his care through carefully folded paper flowers his sister taught him to make many years ago. A different color for each person. He might have teared up when he saw them all wearing them one day.
Tickles below the cut!
- They’re both ticklish- this is canon here. Giyu’s Hashira training gives him the slight edge over Tanjiro though in terms of tickle wars.
- Mainly happens during training- things will be going well until Tanjiro decides to be a little sneak- poking at his sides in hopes to gain some sort of advantage over the older man. It rarely works- Giyu will have him on his back and squealing with laughter in minutes.
- With that said- Tanjiro has since mastered the art of “sneaky tickles”; silently creeping up on the older Hashira before attacking his ribs and sides from behind. Whether or not Giyu knows he’s doing it is beyond him, he just knows it works 99% of the time. Especially if he brings the Kamaboku squad to help.
- Outside of these, Giyu’s not likely to tickle him. At least, not directly. He might scribble some fingers against the back of his neck upon walking over, or he’ll poke the other’s side to wake him back up during a mission briefing, but normally he’ll let him be. Tanjiro on the other hand will absolutely go for tickle spots no matter where they are, much to the amusement of the Hashria.
- It’s all fun and games until Giyu scarifies him to the legendary Ten-Ren tickle team. Perhaps they would have had a chance to succeed if Giyu stuck around, but the man’s a runner- bolting and leaving poor Tanjiro to suffer alone. Since then- tickles wars have become personal. (At least- for like one fight. After that it returned to it’s usual goofy shenanigans.)
Thanks for reading!

WtST Masterpost
Finally compiling all things related to Welcome to Sinnoh's Temple into one post.
The order of content is:
Fanfictions
Spinoffs
Artwork
Text Posts/Miscellaneous
If I receive fan content, then I'll make add a section for it for ease of organization.
Be aware that much of the artwork and fanfiction linked below contain spoilers for the plots of WtST and Pandemonic Paradise, if you have yet to read either fic and want to avoid spoilers.
This masterpost will be edited as new content is posted.
I hope that this makes it easier for everyone to find stuff if they're interested.
Have a good day!
AO3 series link
Fanfictions:
Main Story:
Welcome to Sinnoh's Temple -- the eponymous fic of the series - chapter 1 - chapter 2 - chapter 3 - chapter 4 - chapter 5 - chapter 6 - chapter 7 - chapter 8 (final)
Yellow Lily -- a short oneshot taking place during WtST, after the Rift has been closed
Healing is Done in a Gradual Way -- a post-WtST oneshot
Spinoff Fanfictions:
Pandemonic Paradise -- an alternate storyline picking up between chapters 5 and 6 of WtST - chapter 1 - chapter 2 - chapter 3 - chapter 4 - chapter 5 - chapter 6
Nonomori -- a hurt/comfort oneshot taking place in the Multi Line variant of WtST
Spinoffs:
Title links lead to the tag on my Tumblr, topped with the most recent post.
Pandemonic Paradise AU -- between chapters 5 and 6 of WtST, things go horribly wrong, and Volo gains Arceus's power. As the world starts to fracture, a distortion drops of a very confused Ingo, who, needless to say, takes the news of his twin's presumed death very badly
Broken AU -- tentatively full-titled as A Promise Broken is a Lie Told, this is a variant in which Ingo handled his grief less-than-healthily, takes all the blame for Emmet's disappearance himself, and isolates himself from his family, eventually taking the title of Unova's Champion
Illusory Lives AU -- a variant in which Emmet died during the red sky incident and came back as a Hisuian Zoroark. Lots of found family here (and Ingo may drown in guilt a little bit)
Multi Line AU -- one year after Emmet disappears, Ingo is taken and lands in Hisui a few years prior to Emmet; essentially, WtST, but Ingo is there
Paradise Frozen AU -- after spending four years in Hisui, Emmet returns home with Akari and Rei only to be separated from them midway. The three of them land, alone, underground in a frozen Unova under the reign of Ghetsis and Kyurem

Ta!au HC’s but their more focused on Rowan bc I love his old ass in this au to much
\ if he had to pick a favorite kid between Gary, Ash and Dawn it would be Gary without hesitation. he was the first scrappy little Buizel, a nickname he only ever calls Gary in his head, Rowan willingly brought home.
\ he wasn’t to pleased when Councilman Kyubi from Unova and Regi, human Kyurem and Regigigas respectfully, showed up at his door at ass o’clock in the morning. Ash and Pikachu, beaten and bruise with noticeable dashes of dried blood on the collar of the kids shirt, looked so pathetic standing between the two adults. swaying on his feet and looking like both he and his partner were about to drop from exhaustion.
\ Gary saw and snatched Ash right up before Rowan could turn the three away, because being a babysitter is not his problem. Gary works for him for Arceus sake, he can’t get away from the brunette even if he tried. though the Professors steely marine strength resolve dissipated when he saw just how heavily Ash leaned into Gary after the door was closed.
\ Rowan refers to Ash as a short circuited Rotom in his head. Dawn is the only one who gets the verbal nickname of Shinx, she totally doesn’t rub it into Gary and Ash’s face when Rowans not around.
\ is actually really sentimental, it’s the old age, and Ingo gets the brunt of it when they officially start dating.
\ “My shining Gallade” get’s used pretty often along with “Sneaky Zoroark” when he finds Ingo sneaking down the halls to get a midnight snack or to sneak into his office when Rowans working on paperwork to try and steal his attention.
\ big on words of affirmation, those come easy to both the kids and his assistants. it’s one of the main reasons why it’s so hard to be accepted to be apart of his small group of lab assistants because the man doesn’t trust easy and an open spot is fought over so hard in the science community.
\ doesn’t give touches a lot, saves the act for when he’s being really sentimental over someone or something, but likes to receive. never flinches away when the kids lean in on him during the early hours of the mornings-when the nightmares are still a little to fresh and they needed just a little bit of support-or when Ingo places a hand on some part of his neck to get Rowan’s attention.
\ Ingo constantly has cold long bony fingers, seemingly no matter what the weather is like, and Emmet used to hate it when he touched him with them. the kids always flinch away and whine when he teasingly dances the tips of his fingers along the back of their neck when their zoning out or hyper focused on something. he can’t for the life of him make Rowan flinch away. the Professor always leans into the touch regardless if Ingo’s hand was incased in a bowl of icy cold water just mere seconds before.
\ Ingo naturally just cold as shit and he wasn’t like this before Hisui so it’s definitely a post-thing. like he ran cold-ish for a human being but now it’s like he’s almost constantly covered in ice and snow. he didn’t notice it back in Hisui, when Ash and Dawn repeatedly pointed it out while dancing out of his grip during their sparring but it hinders him a lot now that he’s back in the present time.
\ Rowan, Gary and Ash naturally carry hand warmers since Sinnoh’s cold and Ash and Rowan’s bones have taken their fair share of beatings but the whole squad takes it upon themselves to always have at least two ones ready and waiting to go incase Ingo suddenly needs them
\ not like Ingo doesn’t already have four in his sweater pockets already.
\ Sandgem Town quickly becomes the new hot spot of Legendary’s and the two residents just look at what's going on, notices they stick around Rowans house, and decides it’s not worth it to brother the Professor. heading back inside like they were just checking the weather outside.
\ Gary cooks, Rowan grills/barbecues, Ash bakes, Ingo is good at frying stuff and Dawn tops it all off by making some mean salads with hand made dressings. they try their best to have a somewhat family dinner but since all five of their schedules are so wacked in ways they have to coordinate who’s going to be home or not.
\ Rowan and Ingo prefer Kalosian based food the best. pasta or a small charcutiery board of prosciutto, kalosian creamy cheese’s like brie, crackers and fruits. both are so used to snacking throughout the day that if their working on paperwork together in Rowans office the older man will make a board so they can eat through it. it seems to make the time fly easier when they do.
\ Gary is a spice-olic. it seems no plate is spicy enough for him. always offers Ash a bite no matter how hot it is because Ash is a damn foodie and eat it regardless. Rowan always sighs deeply when their out and about in restaurants because Ash will no doubt make a scene.
\ Ash loves Kantonian food, even though he has very little spice tolerance, but if he had to chose his ultimate favorite food it would have to be extra crispy, thick crust, deep fried imitated-Combusken. he’s had real deep fried Combusken before but prefers the vegan option because the texture of the ‘meat’ is better in his opinion.
\ it’s not like he didn’t feel guilting thinking about May’s Blaziken when he tried it for the first time.
\ oddly enough that’s not Ash’s favorite part of the dish. it’s just the skin and breading. he will literally leave the ‘meat’ alone and just eat the outer layer of breading and be happy. Ingo is trying to perfect it so Ash doesn’t waste to much money buying the whole thing meal, even if Gary and Dawn happily eat the ‘meat’ part with out Ash having to ask them, but he’s failing horribly since it’s hard to cut the skin off without cooking it.
\ Dawn has no spice level and actively refuses any bite of spicy-shit that Gary offers. she knows what she likes and sticks to her comfort foods, even if the majority of her diet is junk foods like chips and candy besides the salad she eats every other day.
\ both Ingo and Ash don’t use phones. Ash because he just doesn’t want to and doesn’t really see the point since he can call people on his pokedex. Ingo because he’s taking a break from the majority of electronics, since he’s been around Lord Electrode Ingo can now hear the electricity running through the house and the lab.
\ it’s not uncommon for the others to find Ingo reading a book next to a lit flame instead of having the lights on. Ash and Rowan can easily navigate through the dark, Gary just uses the glow of Umbreons rings to watch out where he’s stepping and Dawn just uses the flash on her phone but turned down to the lowest setting.
\ it’s weird to the other professor’s how easily Rowan can share his space with the four and his more long standing assistants but not his fellow colleagues. it’s a trust thing that he picked up in the Corps and it just stuck.
\ when Ash is gone and Dawn is off with Barry and Zoey, silence over takes the house. besides the odd argument with Oak over the phone or video feed and the way Professor Magnolia and Birch just talks loud in general there’s rarely any continuous loud noises. it does change when Ash is finally able to transfer all his Pokémon from Oaks ranch to Rowans care, Charizard and Swellow are loud motherfuckers in the morning, but not by much as the majority of his Pokemon enjoy the silence or go scream in the woods that boarder the back of Rowans large backyard.

I've lost track of how long it's been since everyone was thrown into the sky. I don't get why the dungeon natives just decided to stop attacking us too, there's still dungeons around and no one wants to go into them... maybe the Legends did something? A lot of teams just kind of disbanded... I haven't seen a rescue team, exploration team or even adventure squads running around and trying to take charge... the ones we did find are demotivated. They call this a "defeat". We lost to something we can't even understand, right? There were five Human Heroes and none of them could solve this, even with the Legendary Pokemon's help... that's what they say. And no one's heard from the Expedition Society. Because of Rayquaza... we're not even sure they got the chance to place the beanstalk seed... they probably never made it up here. Some towns are still intact, but they're too crowded now for anyone to actually live there. Tent towns are popping up all over the place, and there's so many confused and angry Pokemon. They get into fights and... some of them turn horribly violent. I'd try to stop them, but, my sister won't let me, and that Vulpix keeps reminding me about my arm. ... All of this started for us with an emera exploding in my looplet while training with my parents... and now they're gone. We had to leave them behind... even those Marshadow guys left... there's no one strong to protect anyone. No one will help, it's not dungeon natives fighting and attacking us anymore... it's everyone against everyone else. And anyone with the power to stop it won't, or they can't do it alone. I NEED to get strong... just like Mom and Pop... so someone can stop this... but I don't know how... it's difficult to evolve again, just like all the stories I heard...
... It's been a few days now, since I heard all of the stories about Pokemon fighting and crime groups forming on other islands... I even heard something crazy about three Pokemon chasing after Shaymin... but that didn't sound real to me, if Xerneas left after everything was done, why would Shaymin wait so long? Anyway... one night I overheard something... some Pokemon had flown in talking about finding Xerneas returning to the Tree of Life in the West, and vanishing right after. Isn't the tree a dungeon? It never returned to normal after the whole Dark Matter thing, yeah? They apparently went there to see if it was possible to evolve again, and some of them had these weird chucks of metal, saying they're stronger than normal badges. They wanted volunteers to go in there and test it-if we could evolve again! I thought on it and despite my sister and that Vulpix, I signed up to join them-if those metal chunks they found actually blocked that weird fog, why not give it a shot? Though... I gotta say... it was weird holding one... gave me a headache at first, until they told me that's what made them so powerful against the fog and I'll get used to it after a while with one... weird... Anyway, I convinced a friend of my parent's to watch my sister and her friend while I was gone, they were that Absol's family, but they kept away from everyone else to avoid being blamed for something bad. They were safest with them... I made sure to promise to come back, stronger, so maybe... just maybe I could do something to help others and maybe revive Rescue Teams... yeah...! That was-is my goal... yeah!!

Mass Effect Tag Game
I stole this from @onedismay and anyone can now proceed to steal it from me
I am a fan since: The release of Legendary Edition, which came out on my birthday. And--1500+ hours of playtime later--It's the gift that keeps on giving lol
Favourite game of the series?: Mass Effect 2 is definitely my favourite because there just feels like there's so much more at stake and all the new characters introduced are great
MShep or FShep?: Most of my Sheps are women but I do have a few men even though I technically haven't played all of them yet
Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer?: I know a lot of people probably consider this the boring option, but I do prefer Earthborn because, for whatever reason, I have a thing about my OCs never knowing their parents
Biotics or Tech: 100% tech, I don't fuck with biotics
Paragon or Renegade: My main Shep is renegade with a touch of paragon
Favourite Class: Infiltrator is my go-to class, but I'll admit that I don't have a lot of experience with any of the other classes
Favourite Companion: Uhm all the techies are essentially my faves lol so Garrus, Tali, EDI, Legion, Kasumi, and Mordin. I also adore Joker, who I feel like gets accidentally excluded a lot because he's not someone who can tag along on missions. Then I have a bit of a soft spot for Vega. Oh, and Aria is pretty much the only asari character I enjoy lol
Least favourite Companion: I might get hate for this, but Liara. I hate how forced she is on you in the first game, and the fact that that does change for the rest of the series makes me so uncomfortable. I literally don't even both talking to her. Ever. I forget she's there half the time. If it weren't for the couple missions in ME3 where you're forced to take her, she would never leave the ship
My squad selection: Garrus is almost always there. I've forced myself to broaden my selection in recent playthroughs and utilise (almost) everyone, but Garrus is still definitely a top pick. Tali is up there, as well. Frankly, this answer is essentially the same as my fave companion(s) plus Wrex
Favourite In-game romance: Garrus. The only romance I honestly give a shit about
Other pairings I like: Joker and EDI, 100%. I'm also into the Jack/Miranda pairing, and I enjoy the thought of Ash and James ending up together
Favourite NPC: This is probably the proper place to mention Joker and Aria, but I'm not going back to edit my other answer including them lol
Favourite Antagonist: I'm not sure I really have one. Saren had potential and it would've been neat if he had stuck around for at least another game, but obviously that didn't happen. The Illusive Man was kinda lame and just overall a nuance soooo idk Udina? lmao
Favourite Mission: I'm not entirely sure... I don't think I necessarily have a favourite because they're all mandatory, for the most part. Even if they're not mandatory story-wise, they are to level up so it's ike...idk none of them really stick out to me and I dread something about each of them, to be honest lol
Favourite Loyalty Mission: Obligatory Garrus answer, but then I also enjoy Tali's mission, uhm... Kasumi's is fun, Mordin's is good, aaaand that's probably it
Favourite DLC: Citadel, hands down. Just the absolutely campiness and insanity of it. I mean, it was a good way to lighten the mood of what the rest of ME3 is, so the ridiculousness of it was honestly much appreciated. A close second would probably be between Omega and Leviathan
Control, Synthesis or Destroy: I prefer Synthesis. I don't give a shit what people say about it, I'm not going through all that bullshit of ending a 300-year long war between the Quarians and Geth just to fucking destroy the Geth in the end. It's pointless. Plus, I could never do that to EDI
Favourite Weapon: While I usually am the Infiltrator class, I always choose assault rifles as my specialisation (or just use them in general when I can), so in ME2 my go-to is the Mattock while in ME3 it's the Valkyrie or Chakram Launcher. As for sniper rifles, in ME2 it's the Viper and in ME3 it's the Valiant
Favourite Place: I enjoy Omega and Illium the most. I wish we could've explored them more because I feel like there was so much lost potential there.
A quote I like: "I won't let fear compromise who I am." ~Shepard. I would honestly get that tattooed on my body lol Garrus has a lot of good/funny quotes, too, especially in ME3 but that Shepard one is always the first to come to mind

Soo, because I'll otherwise loose my mind, here my ranking for the eight stories (of course, big spoilers follow, also for the endgame)
1. Osvald
This was pretty much a safe card to get into my favourites. A broken science man, who first starts out with wanting to avenge his wife and daughter, but then realises that his daughter is alive and saves her? That's good shit for people with father issues right there.
But what really got me with him was... everything around him. How he slowly warms up to the other travel companions, how he lets other close to him again. In the last travel banter with Partitio he talks about how he realizes that he managed his journey only because of his companions, and how he finally sees the sense behind small talk and. It's so great. He was my starter and even though it was really funny at the beginning how that lone wolf suddenly was surrounded by five children, Temenos and Castii, I could see him lead my squad at the end against Vide. That's what I call character development.
And I know that after the epilogue the first thing he did was run back home, confronted his fear and hugged his daughter. Trust me, I'm Square Enix.
2. Ochette
I'm sorry, but I couldn't put her lower. Ochette's story was so nicely put together - I love how all three legendary Pokémon beasts have separate stories, but one element that unites them all: how humanity destroys nature without reason or remorse. But still Ochette stays strong and kind and has hopes and... God, that was great to see. That moment when she befriended Glacis and the other companion was honestly beautiful.
The only thing that annoys me is the fact that the dark huntress was so... irrelevant at the end. I expected a plottwist around her, something like 'haha, this character from story X was actually her!' but... no. Shes just an evil fanatic who has only one appearance when she gets killed by the other companion. A little bit lackluster tbh.
But yeah, Ochette is my daughter and I would kill for her.
3. Castii
That third chapter. God damnit.
I'm really surprised how much I liked Castii at the end. Once again, family issues and all, but also... her story is so dark. She could save the day, but so many people had to pay for it and it was so brilliant how you could go into the empty village from the beginning (it was even part of the demo) and ask yourself "what the fuck happened here?" before all becomes clear. Its so bittersweet and I'm all here for it.
4. Partitio
I know, his story is not the most... logical one. But sometimes you want to live in an indulgent fantasy where you beat capitalists up and then they see the errors of their ways and where a rich sugar daddy aristocrat gives you 80 billion dollar because you inspired him enough. But yeah, he's just so fun and I love how, even though so many people change throughout OT 2, he always stays the same idealistic optimistic moron who inspires the people around him. And how Ori pretty much confirmed that the reason she saw hope again was because of Partitio? Whoof.
Also my head canon is that Mister Roque and Pepe had something going on while they built Orerush. I mean... come on. Two single men, with no woman by their side but really close, and Partitio even calls him uncle in german? Thats sus right there.
5. Throné
Technically, this story is right up my alley. I don't know what it keeps from being higher up except the fact that the Claude twist came a little bit out of nowhere. But there are so many small scenes that I love, how the girl in Mothers Garden swears revenge and still gets a happy ending, how happy Father is that he still got to be a father (his whole story was fantastic btw), how you're not thrown into Lostseed but travel there throughout her last chapter and then are met with such despair. And yeah, the end was similarly bittersweet as that of Primrose from the first game, what I love. At the end, freedom reeks of blood, but... it was worth it.
6. Agnea
The step up for the fluffy stories from the first to the second game is insane.
But yeah, I talked about it once already, but what makes this story special for me is the journey in her mother's footsteps. When her father gave her her dress at the beginning it nearly teared me up lol.
But yeah, her whole story is just so sweet and cute and anti-capitalistic (she kinda has Karen-energy but in a good way) and how it all tied together at the end with all the people from the different chapters coming together at the festival of graces was great. And this story has easily the most background lesbians (the traveling group, Dolccinea and Victoria...), it's amazing.
7. Temenos
...yeah. This is my biggest unpopular opinion from this game xD
But yeah, what really annoyed me about Temenos' story was, similar to Cyrus' story from the first game, that it tries to be a detective story, but... it's the most predictable story of all lol. From the beginning I was like 'yeah... the sacred guard was responsible, wasn't it?' and it kinda took my investment in that story out of it. Also I like Temenos and Crick, but not as much as most of the fandom, I'm afraid - there was something that didn't click with me, I guess. Even though the Stormhail-Route was still pretty sad ngl. And even though Kaldena was my third to last end boss, she still nearly killed me, so here's that.
8. Hikari
Hikari is really a sad case because his story could have been even more tragic and sad. But he suffers the most from bad writing - Mugen is such an 'evil for the sake of being evil' antagonist while being the stupidest person ever (that moment when he killed everyone because 'they could be vengeful later!' made me literally facepalm) and I still don't understand why Ritsu hates the emperors and their war mongering so much, but then ends up working for the biggest war monger of them all. I lowkey expected him to betray Mugen but... no. He's just vengefulTM and randomly turns good two seconds before dying.
But I liked Hikaris arc and turning the shadow hold into the light hold was a great idea. Generally his first and last chapter were pretty atmospheric and I really grew to like Kazan as a mischievous, but sympathetic ally that his betrayal really stung. Generally, the second game had much better written and more engaging stories than the first, it didn't have any Tressa-like story where I didn't particularly care about anything. But still, Hikari kinda deserves better.
#octopath traveler#octopath traveler 2#octopath traveler 2 spoilers#octopath traveler II spoilers#octopath spoilers#generally I liked all stories in some way or another#but as always i have thoughts lol

What kind of mythology is there in your world?
Ooooooh, there's a lot to talk about! There's the human heroes, the legend of the cursed human, the conflicting legends surrounding reviser seeds, the stories about the Tree of Life and the Worldcore, and lots more!
One of my favorites are the legends surrounding Revive All Orbs!
Legend says that, long, long ago, a Ninetales’ kit died, and the Ninetales traveled the world to find a legendary to reverse it.
One version of the legend says that the Ninetales came upon Xerneas, who bestowed upon her a massive orb to revive her kit, though it was already too late, as the kit’s spirit had already moved on. In her grief, the Ninetales threw the orb into the sea, where it broke apart into Revive All Orbs, and those orbs scattered across the world.
The other version of the legend says that the Ninetales came upon Yveltal, who offered their condolences, as the kit’s spirit had already moved on. The Ninetales pleaded with Yveltal to bring her kit’s spirit back, but Yveltal said there was nothing she could do. However, Yveltal decided to work with Xerneas to create a charm that would prevent the Ninetales from ever losing another kit. Upon Yveltal giving the Ninetales the charm, though, she shouted hateful words towards Yveltal, and crushed the charm, before throwing its remains into the sea. Like with the other legend, those remains became Revive All Orbs, and scattered throughout the world.
There's also the stories about Illusory Grottos, strangely peaceful dungeons filled with reviving items that are said to appear to people who have suffered a great loss. It's said that they're created by the Voice of Life to try to ease sorrows! Though nobody's ever been able to truly confirm if Illusory Grottos really exist or not.
There's also the stories about the first mystery dungeons and the first adventuring teams! Legend says that 3000 years ago, mystery dungeons started forming, and a small village was on the verge of falling into disarray from everyone being so worried! It's said that there was so much stress back then, that people even attacked each other over cookies!
But a wise Slowking had an idea. They saw the potential for bountiful harvests from mystery dungeons, and asked a group of Pokemon to venture into them to get supplies for the village. They succeeded, and more Pokemon followed in their pawsteps, to adventure into mystery dungeons and see what they could find. These teams of Pokemon became known as adventure squads!
I hope that you find this as cool as I find human world mythology!
#holyshinx#tropius#pokemon#unreality#pkmn irl#ask#ooc: Sorry for the long post! I have Many Thoughts about mythology in the PMD world.#long post#ooc: And yes. That last legend is a reference to Adventure Squad.

Homie, if you have your basic premise for your Chosen AU, I would love to read it!!
I will take crumbs and suck it up like an overpriced vacuum(/lh, /hj)
thank u!!!!!!! oooh so i dont have much in the ways of plot figured out, but the main focus is definitely the galar kids because they’re my favorites ksjdksj.
i have something of a magic/weapons system figured out at least- something between a magical girl anime and the infernal arms in hades. in terms of that, for some reason im thinking of it from like a video game moveset perspective
the chosens (they’re technically gonna be called paladins in my au but eh i dont wanna figure that all out rn) all have weapons that correspond to their choosers and their own traits. special moves/status effects usually copy the powers of the chooser, and then the type of weapon itself will have more to do with the chosen.
then of course its not just weapons, the chosens also get some powers on their own and little physical changes. e.g.: hop (zacian’s chosen) gets sharp teeth and grows super tall, serena (xerneas) makes plants grow where she steps and has antlers, calem’s (yveltal) blood is poisonous and , barry (palkia) can put things and himself in his own pocket dimension, etc.
AND THEN HERES WHERE I HAD MY LITTLE STROKE OF GENIUS i made the chosen weapons work like infernal arms, where each chosen wielder of the chooser’s weapon has their own Aspect of it that can be channeled by other chosens via a waking phrase. these phrases know no bounds from time or space, and chosens from the future can be channeled by chosens from the past and vice versa. They can activate each other’s aspects in order to speak with each other.
my main examples that i have all figured out are Hop and Gloria channeling the original kings. they hold a very confused conversation and then they tell their tips for using each other’s aspect, as well as giving each other their best life advice
and (pre-game) Volo channeling (post-pla) Dawn’s aspect: they get into a screaming match and are of little help to each other. however, Dawn yells “FUCK YOU IM COMING TO STOP YOU MYSELF” and then her past self appears in hisui the next week. its all very trippy for Volo and giratina won’t stop laughing at him.
also some of the legendaries can disguise themselves as things other than their True Forms when they need to (i.e.: common pokemon or humans) Though Zacian, Zamazenta, and the Galarian Birds do mostly speak Old English and Professor Magnolia has to translate. She’s ecstatic her fluency finally gets to come in handy, though. Calyrex is the only one who can speak perfect english, but a drawback is that he can’t take any form other than slight variations of his True one (floating rabbit/rabbit riding a honse)
I also think the Kalos legends mostly speak in Old French as well, and there are a lot of calls to AZ to translate for them
And also the ultra recon squad members are all chosens of Ultra Beasts, but the ultra beasts don’t have as much power or sway over anything so they kind of just supply reasonably strong powerups to the company-issued weapons + companionship from a cool pokemon
aaaand thats all i can think of rn! if i come up with more/figure out the plot beyond what’s just swimming around my head rn, i’ll post it- knowing me it’ll probably be concept art or a joke comic teehee
#mailbox#chosen au#legendary paladins au#sorry bout all the parentheses. all my statements come with additional commentsry#i think im probably going to write/draw and post my concepts for all of the chosens being chosen and getting used to their powers#i have the outline and first halfpage of a fic where hop is officially chosen at 16 and has to deal with that
