She does have many close friends in the industry. To name one, Kathryn Gallagher, who was on Broadway for Jagged Little Pill. Lauren Patten was also in that production, and she worked with Mike in Days of Rage, so everything is connected in some way it seems. Victoria Pedretti, Lili Reinhart, and Florence Pugh are just another few. She also has ongoing beef with Kendall Jenner that seems to resurface once a year.

In her younger years, the media pinned her as a big party girl, and it was common for her to make headlines when she was seen having dinner with a guy or leaving a bar with friends. As she’s gotten older, and she’s retreated from the media, it seems they’ve changed their attitude toward her, but they’ve always been supportive of her, but not always the most respectful…but that’s Hollywood, baby.

As for fans, she’s blessed to have fans that aren’t too much. They don’t crowd her and overwhelm her – though, I will say they were guilty of that in the past, but people grow. They hesitantly ask Mike if he can give them to her, because they don’t want to bother her, but he’s insistent they come to the table to meet her. If she wasn’t in the mood to meet fans, he would know.

The girls are shaking as they follow Mike back to their table, and they swear they black out during the encounter. She signs the inside of an Agatha Christie book one of the girls had in their purse, and the back of a Dollar General receipt. They also take pictures, thanks to Mike’s immaculate photography skills, and the only request was to post anything after midnight to guarantee she’s left the establishment.

She signed my Dollar General receipt and became visibly upset when she noticed I paid $3 for my sunglasses. “What’s the fucking point being called Dollar General if you’re going to extort your customers?” She smelled so good, and complimented my Pedro Pascal shirt. Mike looked so good and he was so nice. It makes perfect sense why she likes him. Literally saw him kiss with my own two eyes so anyone who says it’s a stunt can suck my fat dick. “Hey, you got a light?”

At first, Yuji doesn’t think he heard that right.

“Me?” He points at himself, and the mysterious, raven haired boy in front of him nods.

Yuji had been in his usual thinking spot at the park, the swing set, when he heard the crunch of boot soles on the sand in front of him.

Now, this boy is standing here. He looks to be the same age as Yuji, and the uniform he has on is a pair of crisp navy blue pants with an untucked white button up. He seems a bit taller than Yuji, but it could be because of the slimness of his features. The point of his nose is sharpened at the end of a high nose bridge, and the planes of his pale cheeks and jawline have a delicate edge to them. He also has a sullen yet sharp look to his face, dark and messy locks of hair with matching lengthy eyelashes to frame unreadable green eyes. 

Whoever he is, Yuji can only describe the stranger as very pretty.

Suddenly, it might be best to stop staring.

He pretends to search his pockets, and then offers up an apologetic smile, “I’m sorry. I actually don’t smoke.”

The boy looks down at him with no emotion, and Yuji is taken aback yet again by how his eyelashes fan over his cheeks.

He really is one of the most beautiful people Yuji has ever seen.

“Oh, that’s alright. I’ll just go to the convenience store then.”

“Okay.” Yuji says dumbly, unsure of how to respond to that.

The boy walks off without another word, and Yuji watches him go until the top of his head ducks into the convenience store across the street. 

After a few minutes of confused silence, Yuji is surprised to see him return and sit down in the swing next to him. 

He lights his cigarette with a practiced flick of his fingers, and then turns to Yuji after taking a long drag.

“So,” Tendrils of gray smoke curl around the striking verdant color of his eyes, “What’s your name?”

Yuji hadn’t expected him to come back, let alone converse with him.

He blinks, and then smiles while sheepishly rubbing the backside of his undercut, “Uh, it’s Yuji! Yuji Itadori.”

Delicately balancing the cigarette between his lips, the boy holds out his hand, “Megumi Fushigurou.”

Yuji takes it, trying to ignore the heat creeping up behind his neck from the brief clasp of palms, “Where do you go to school?” 

“The high school on the west end of town. I’m a senior.” Megumi juts his head sideways, tapping ash onto the playground sand.

“Ah, okay. Me too! I go to the one over there though.” Yuji points, and Megumi’s eyes flit towards the distant red bricked building at the tip of Yuji’s finger.

“Cool.”

Yuji nods in agreement, and then decides to blurt out a question before the lull in conversation can get too awkward.

“So, why do you come to this park? It’s a bit far.”

“It’s my smoking spot. I used to live in this part of town. Old habits die hard, I guess.” The corner of Megumi’s lip slightly curls up, and then he gestures to Yuji with the end of his cigarette, “You?”

“I just moved here a month ago. I figured this would be a good thinking spot.” He runs a hand through the petal hues of his hair, hoping Megumi doesn't find him stupid for whatever reason.

That’s when Megumi fully grins, and Yuji can’t help but notice how much that small shift in expression makes his heart pound.

“Great minds think alike, don’t they?”

Yuji swallows at the amusement in Megumi’s voice and gathered in the corners of his mouth. How the sun seems to flock to his smile and the spark of happiness in his eyes.

Somehow, he manages to answer.

“Right.”

“So,” Megumi pushes the swing back with his heels, “What exactly do you think about here?”

As time passes, Yuji keeps staying at the park later and later just to talk with Megumi. 

He finds out his birthday is December 22nd, that he has 2 pet dogs, and that he likes to read. Nonfiction, specifically.

There seems to be a lot to find out about Megumi’s habits too.

Yuji notices that he always closes his eyes when he lights his cigarette, able to sense the end of it and the warmth of the flame. When he talks about something he’s really excited about he instinctively looks to the ground, as if he wants the Earth to listen to his passionate exclamations and see the soft joy in his beam. Whenever Yuji buys sugary snacks for them to share, Megumi will insist he doesn’t like sweets, but always picks out the strawberry flavored pieces to eat.

Sometimes, Yuji wonders if Megumi notices similar things about himself. If he piques Megumi’s interest more than the light brush of their cheeks every time they embrace in greeting or when they both laugh way too hard at the stories they tell each other, bonding over rare high school triumphs and pesky lows.

In the quiet lulls throughout his day to day routine, he wonders if Megumi could like him.

Tonight, that train of thought seems to haunt Yuji as they’re pointing out constellations above their heads and avoiding the dim street lights bordering the park by sitting in the grass.

“That cluster looks like a bear.” The stars speckle the emerald in Megumi’s eyes, and Yuji has a hard time tearing his gaze away long enough to acknowledge the celestial formation Megumi is pointing at.

“It totally does! That one kind of looks like two people kissing. Gross.” Yuji gently pushes Megumi’s elbow to another spot in the sky, and Megumi tilts his head as his elbow relaxes against the subtle touch.

“I think it’s nice.” He seems to consider the blanket of stars before him for a moment, “Two people or two boys?”

Megumi lowers his hand, turning to face the utter shock forcing Yuji’s jaw open before he snaps it shut with a nervous bite.

A long silence peppered with the chirp of crickets stretches between them, and Megumi is still staring at Yuji.

He can practically feel the weight of it as Megumi observes the way Yuji stiffens in his seat, all patience and expectations.

Yuji runs the palm of his hand over his mouth and then behind his neck, “Uh-”

“Hey! Curfew ended an hour ago, you boys need to come with me.” 

The pair quickly jolt up as a patrol officer walks towards them while wagging a chastising finger, and Yuji gives Megumi a quick glance before grabbing his hand.

“Come on, run!”

He tugs the stunned boy along, adrenaline rushing heat to his skin, especially once Megumi seems to register the instruction and intertwines his fingers with Yuji’s as they pick up speed.

“You kids are in big trouble!” The policeman pants, trying to catch up with them and the static of his radio clicking on.

“Where should we go?” Yuji yells, constantly checking his pace so Megumi doesn’t fall behind.

“Over here!” Megumi shoves Yuji into an alleyway, and the chainlink spread across its middle almost knocks the breath out of him.

“Shit, there’s a fence.” The dark haired boy groans, and Yuji wastes no time chucking his backpack over.

“Come on, we gotta jump it!” Yuji hops up the barrier and clambers over, reaching a hand down to help Megumi and hauling him onto the other side.

Once they’re safely away from the fence, the rushed footsteps of their pursuer race right past their hiding spot, but even then Megumi keeps a finger to his lips as he and Yuji head to the end of the alley. The narrow space opens up behind a bustling cafe, where the distant call of orders and the clang of kitchen utensils offer enough cover to ease their shared panic.

“I think we lost him.”

Before he can help it, Yuji doubles over with laughter at Megumi’s declaration.

“That was a close one!”

“Too close.” Megumi chuckles, breathlessness lacing the rare sound, “That was crazy.”

He takes out a half full box of cigarettes and his lighter out of his pocket, and Yuji springs at the chance.

“Here,” He slides the lighter out of the other boy’s hand and flicks it on, “I got it.”

Megumi gives him an unreadable look, but then automatically closes his eyes and leans towards the lighter being held between them.

Even though the flame is small, it fans over the fine expanse of Megumi’s face, etching dark orange shadow and smoothing light into every defined feature. His cupid’s bow pokes out a bit more when a cigarette rests between his lips, and the glow of fire makes the shape of it nearly irresistible.

Yuji can’t look away, even when Megumi appears to sense him looking and opens his eyes.

Pretty doesn’t even begin to describe Megumi anymore.

The flame disappears with a shaky drop of Yuji’s hand, “Sorry-”

He isn’t sure why he’s apologizing, he just feels like an idiot.

Silence and darkness hang the apology in the air, and Yuji can tell Megumi is inhaling from the dot of burnt scarlet floating in front of his nose.

Blue moonlight is dousing his shoulders and sinking into the midnight ink of his hair.

It’s beautiful.

A few more drags, and then Megumi crushes the embers beneath his shoe.

Yuji feels the pure scrutiny of his stare as Megumi takes his face in his hands and soothes his thumbs back and forth over the olive toned skin just beneath his cheekbones.

His heart is pounding in his chest, and he imagines that it's racing at nothing less than a rate of 60 miles per hour.

Then, Megumi inches even closer, eyes focused and staring only at Yuji’s parted lips.

He can already feel the kiss coming.

“You have nothing to apologize for.”

With that sweet reassurance, Yuji melts into the subsequent kiss Megumi carefully presses to his lips.

Immediately, he tastes sugar and smoke rings. 

Like every long night and daydream he spent thinking about Megumi, it left Yuji wanting to kiss him forever.

Later that night, Megumi drives Yuji home and they hold hands as they make their way to his front door.

“I like you.” Yuji says, grinning at the way the tips of Megumi’s ears darken with blush.

Even flustered, he manages an endearing, “I like you too.”

The rest of their walk is quiet with newfound bliss,  but once they make it to their destination, Megumi shyly runs his thumb over Yuji’s knuckles.

Yuji smiles at the motion, because Megumi’s flingers are thinner than his and he finds the size difference in their hands too cute for words.

“Is it alright if we kiss again?” Megumi asks, and Yuji nods with butterflies filling his stomach.

“Really? I just smoked, you don’t mind it? I should’ve asked earlier.”

He looks imploringly into the bright copper of Yuji’s eyes, and Yuji shakes his head before running a thumb over the swell of Megumi’s bottom lip.

“I like it. You taste like strawberries and cigarettes.”

so L brings this up with juliette. she denies it terribly (because they’re such a mess when they’re flustered), but after relenting, L reveals that he brought it up because he’s interesting in learning more about it. he has trouble identifying his own emotions and hasn’t been in love before, so he asks me to be apart of a study. it’s just information, essentially, letters detailing specific sensations and lovey dovey thoughts i get of him.

i agree to it because i LOVE psychology and have always wanted to be apart of a psychological study!

but at this point, L isn’t in love with me. he slowly falls over time, much to his mental debates on if it’s “ethical” or not. (he’s overthinking it!!! ALSO, WOW, L thinking about morals when it comes to someone?? they must be a ~special someone~ to him 🤭)

the stoic character who keeps to himself is (mutually) in love with the visually expressive, musically inclined jester!!! (does this make sense 😭)

juliette is with L throughout the entire kira case. the first time the taskforce meets L, she’s just standing to his right side (it’s a whole thing) in a lolita getup, so they assume, like watari, that juliette is a maid to L of sorts. but NO, juliette just fucking LOVES fashion lmaooooooo

ANYWAYS, what i’m trying to get to is that juliette loves music. it connects to them on such a deep level, and they love to sing and entertain. so sometimes, as a break/interlude in the kira case, she sings and plays songs. (they’re oddly captivating… just like a performer at an event.)

L can’t have the taskforce knowing him and juliette’s interpersonal relationship, so he and juliette have silently agreed to refer to each other as “associates” whenever the question comes up.

juliette talks out loud a lot as a habit. but, again, she likes to be entertaining first and foremost, so she only says things she thinks will be the most intriguing. she can keep to herself just fine. but L knows. he knows how intentional everything they do is. he can relate, and is intrigued about this part of them. and without fail, he listens, catalogues, and responds to everything she says U///U because he caaaaares 🥹🥹🥹 (much to light’s annoyance during the case lol)

once misa starts to reside in the taskforce headquarters, you fucking KNOW she and juliette would become ✨fashion besties✨ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

juliette is very silly, laidback, loose, witty, thoughtful, and compassionate. will and has been promptly serious when the time calls for it.

juliette has forced L to watch rocky horror with them so. many. times. it’s now their couple movie of sorts aha <3

juliette cannot STAND light. he’s such an arrogant bitch baby, so she insults and burns him constantly (which L… enjoys 👀 JFKSJFKSJDKSJS, HE LOVES THE FACT THAT I CAN DEFEND MYSELF AND THAT I’M NOT A DOORMAT)

it’s so interesting to listen to these two talk. cause like, L is formal, a bit oddly polite in his wording, and naturally uses long words here and there. juliette, on the other hand, is very casual in speech. she casually swears, she refers to others with “dude,” “bro,” and “man,” and uses some slang words here and there. the taskforce members gawk at the sheer contrast sometimes.

so juliette’s mainly goth, right?? misa introduces her to the fashion, and she fucking loves it. her usual goth color combo is hot pink and black!!

…buuuuuut, juliette likes fashion in general, so sometimes she wear “pretty in pink” ass y2k outfits, then at other times glam rock-y, then gritty type of clothing, then elegant, they girly, then—

Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger vs. Donbrothers/Kyoryuger Early screening Stage Greeting First timing report

(I am just going to address them as their Character it would be a little confusing for some if I use their name)

First timing.

They were having issue with microphone while introducing themselves.

Everyone in audience were calling out to them. 🥹 even they call out the Director 🤣 (he did Donbrothers)

Rita at first like eh eh eh is it on? The rest help them out.

(Apparently trying to figure out it was on or not didn’t seem so obvious)

Then Saruhara was also but they also teasing him until he like leave me alone

Tsubasa apparently say he sort of still on a run, he came from Kyoto? Then he has a new hair duo he said Sononi did it for him.

Kijino was like EHHH YOURE CALLING ME ? (He did it also in the second time)

Then King Ohger were ask about their other role they played in alter world

Gira was like I become Uchu ah…he tried to do different facial expression to show the difference between both of Gira.

Yanma was mentioned about him and Shiokara. I think it was about usually Shiokara follow him then how in this opposite? Like he just follow whatever Shiokara said and just act it out? (plus considering Yanma doesn’t like to prepare too much for a scene)

Himeno mention apparently the director and rest were apologising to her because she had to eat the flower which wasn’t very nice and that she create it with the image of an unrequited Cinderella in mind. (Probably to both they felt so bad?)

Rita didn’t expect to do again the dance and singing but it was different then what theh did in the Idol episode. They did mentions that even in main story this probably the most they have seen Rita’s smile the most?

Kaguragi got mention about sumo that he was ask to give a face he normally don’t show. So he gave a really pathetic looking face. The audience found it cute

Jeramie was too into ‘Come on’ (I think I remember he mention he came up with it) after having to finally got a chance to change out of his usual get up.

Rita mention that he had a lot of pose for it.

Then Jeramie was too into the Come on that he end up walking opposite direction to which he pointing. I think he try to save it by saying it the other side!

Tarou was worried since it been a year since they were together. End up everyone did alright.

I remember that Kaguragi was saying that Takano-san is huge fan so that why he able to do the script. Kaguragi got mention about the Sumo match the ‘Hao’ ‘Hao’ gesture to the person he fought with whose name was Jackie-Chan 😅

There was one point Tarou said Takano-San name wrongly the King-Ohger corrected him 😂😅

Apparently they were asking about Prince about his action scene how much he train (If I remember correctly)

He was super shy but serious although he was at G-Rosso before which the King-Ohger said to him.

Most of the King-Ohger seem like were teasing him.

Kingohger were saying they had work with their suit actors to do their own action scene.

Director mention he thought King-Ohger would be too overwhelm by Donbrothers but King-Ohger was amazing. He did mention some part in movie would be only be understood by people who watch the main story.

Also parts that was cut out of the movie from what director said would be added in blu-ray (IT A WIN a bit I hope it for both of them since Director was for Donbrothers)

Director mentions that Murasame actually appears in beginning. Asking if we notice it or not. (I mention in my previous spoiler where they are)

There was moment Kaguragi got mention about how the two blue know each other then they share about their story. Like they never thought they get work with each other in this situation. I think Yanma mention was at one point jealous Saruhara got it first?

Haruka was ask to do her killed moment again then Yanma also when he got electrocuted

So I got asked by @fangomango what some of my favorite end credits scenes are (it was on my main Shadowbanned blog, though, so Tumblr is rude and won't let me answer it there ;-;) but yes, I am so excited to answer this question, because I've wanted to make a full post on my favorite end credits scenes ever since I asked @drawthethingdoppelganger about her favorite end credits scenes:

--One of my all-time favorites is Candy Cane Moose because it's so flipping catchy somehow despite only consisting of a few lyrics that are repeated over and over. Also, seeing the Belcher kids are lil' babies makes me 🥺 I actually screamed when I saw this one for the first time because I was not prepared for the cuteness:

--Of course, I also love Pesto in My Pants, because Bob and Tina's dancing is glorious, and it's just so iconic:

I WAS HAVING A RANDOM THOUGHT AND i stumbled upon that song, namely somethin' stupid by Frank Sinatra and OH MY GOD how I immediately thought of nonviolent communication.

Just mainly the lyrics of picking out a quiet place to hang out, even struggling to find a common time together but when they do its perfect. A quiet simple moment with the other person together and it feels like there's nothing else that matters than being with that said person. IT JUST STRUCK ME so much so like Miguel in nonviolent communication because he'd love putting so much effort and thought into the little times spent together. Especially this line ''I practice every day to find some clever lines to say to make the meaning come true, But then I think I'll wait until the evening gets late, and I'm alone with you'' meaning that even if its just spending dinner at each other's or watching something together even the little things he tries to make sure that it goes well.

THE PART where it says ''I can see it in your eyes, that you despise the same old lies you heard the night before'' STRIKES me so much as the part of trying to get over peter's death but no one knows the real grief of having to deal with it and the pressure of moving on and the number of times people have said that it would get easier with time but it doesn't ever feel that way for the person grieving.

Of course the main line being ''And then I go and spoil it all by saying somethin' stupid like, "I love you" '' just makes me SOB because it feels so much like what miguel would think when hes 'runining' a peaceful perfect moment but in reality hes not but hes a sad angsty man and he'd regret saying it out loud at first but hopefully things end up happy :)

First of all, this is one of my favorite songs by Sinatra!! Second, I love all your points and agree with you, THIS SONG IS SO FITTING on so many aspects for Nonviolent Communication😭😭 the line of waiting "until the evening gets late" and that they're alone - so Miguel!! Thinking about how Miguel and reader are interrupted sometimes when they're at his lab and him finding this annoying (because he really enjoys spending time with reader), and so sometimes he feels like he needs to wait until later or until they're in the comfort of their homes to share things with reader, or to make sure the moment can be fully theirs with no interruptions!!

Omg, the line - ''I can see it in your eyes, that you despise the same old lies you heard the night before" - and connecting it to losing Peter and being told it will get easier!! You have me crying over here!!! 😭😭 I love this so much, you have no idea!!! I'm imagining the early days of losing Peter, when she still had her friends from her universe and being told this over and over again by friends and acquaintances, and continuing to happen upon her joining the Spider Society and just feeling lied to because it's still not easy.

But the last one, omg!! Miguel would definitely think he "ruined" a perfect moment by saying "I love you" 🥺 no, this is one is breaking my heart so much because imagine how much it took Miguel to say it (he has also probably been thinking about it for days, debating on whether or not to say it) and then feeling like he shouldn't had !!!! SOBBING JUST IMAGINGING THIS RIGHT NOW!!! I just want to give Miguel a tight hug and comfort him, and tell him I love him, too 🥹 but in Nonviolent Communication, everything would turn out happy and it would be a sweet and tender moment between Miguel and reader :) and he wouldn't feel like he "ruined" the moment afterwards.

Now that you've made me think of this song and connected it to NC, I'm thinking of another line from the song that's so Miguel but I don't want to give spoilers. It might be discussed in part 12 or part 13, so I'll mention it once it's brought up, and tell you what line I was thinking about!!

This was so sweet and angsty to think about and now I'm not gonna be able to hear this song without thinking of NC Miguel and reader 😭 but that's a good thing because I love thinking about them!! In therapy, within the last month, but otherwise, I try far too hard not to cry, and rarely do. I used to say that in a bragging sort of way, but since growing up a bit, I have realized it is mostly just from being emotionally stunted. 

Do you have kids?

Yes, a seven-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy. 💕

I mean… their appearance? But not in a shallow way? 🤣🤣 Like some of you have said — body language, expressions, general overall vibe. Apparently “childhood trauma gave me hypervigilance”. 🙄

I cannot handle anything even remotely intense or scary. Like, the emperor electrocuting Luke in the Star Wars movies still makes me squirm. So ALL THE HAPPY ENDINGS. I’m 34 years old and I think I enjoyed the new Super Mario movie more than anyone else in my family, kids included. 🤣

Any special talents?

Hmm. I’m trying to think of things other than writing, ADHD, public speaking, photography… SO, I have a particular “IDGAF” attitude when it comes to hairstyles and tattoos, where I would do pretty much anything for fun or if I liked it. I’ve had a mullet (and not the fashionable kind), a pixie, waist-length, a rat tail, and everything in between. The tattoos need a bit more thought because they’re $$$. 🥴 But my hubby and I have jokingly named my thighs Justice and Redemption, and I’d like to hide some tattoos of those names on each one, and some kind of joke, using lord of the rings lines from the mines/gates of Moria for my nether-yaeya……. You get the gist. I have serious and meaningful and artistic tattoos, on me and on the docket, but those are some examples of the fun ones.😂 I also am a white water raft guide, and I seem to have the ability to smile and laugh in virtually any situation (birth, medical emergencies, probably funerals if I went), but again, therapy has ruined that by calling it “masking” 🤣🤣🤣 OH — one more — I always have to leave a place cleaner than I found it. When we’d go drinking in college, I’d sometimes disappear for a while because I was cleaning the bar bathroom counter. Same with parks or anywhere else… I have to pick up the trash I see. 💕 ENNEAGRAM 1 PROBLEMS, best summarized by this gorgeous song by Sleeping At Last.

Oh, I guess here is where I can mention the regular stuff up above. 🤣 I really love writing, spending meaningful time with Jesus, and spending time in nature just being completely present and delighting in every leaf, bug, etc… And as cheesy as it sounds, I love having fun with my husband. We really are best friends, to the point where we will sometimes stay up way too late at night just because we are having so much fun talking about nothing and everything. 🥹

Have any pets?

A bulldog-border collie mix dog named Teddy, a bearded dragon named Jabba, and usually something else like a blue belly lizard or tadpoles or whatever the kids find and want to bring home. I really want to get some kind of parrot like an African gray, or if I ever found an abandoned baby raven, that would be incredible. 🤓 I would totally have a few cats, but the husband is allergic.

What sports do/have you played?

I am not a land athlete… When it comes to things like agility or speed. I am, however, an excellent swimmer, and did swim team from age 4 through college, and I am also very strong and sturdy, so I enjoy lifting heavy weights. 🤓

How tall are you?

5‘10“, or 177cm 😘 And yes, I played basketball for a few years, but only because I went to a tiny school and they needed someone on the girls team to stand underneath the basket with their arms over their head like an intimidating ogre who might occasionally get a rebound.

Favorite subject at school?

ENGLISH!! Reading, analyzing, writing… Also theater, because I thought I was going to be an actress until I got old enough (read: 22) and realized I was TERRIBLE. 🤣 apparently a bubbly, charismatic personality doesn’t necessarily translate to acting skills. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dream job?

Honestly, I don’t think I even know. As a child, I wanted to be everything from a marine biologist to an actress to a vet to a dolphin trainer to an astronomer. I have always thought it would be fun to be a personal assistant to some high-powered CEO or something where my only job was to plan all of the travel and meetings, and get to go around the world that way, but none of the actual responsibilities of the company fall to me. Just simple organization and frequent travel. 😂 Also a food critic. 🤭 Or a stunt woman.

Apparently the jury is still out.

But the cool thing is that I absolutely love my job. I loved teaching in the classroom, and now getting to do my work from home while I enjoy my kids’ childhood is absolutely amazing. We are at a water park for two days, and I am sending emails and answering questions about online classes while I sit in a lounge chair with my feet in the water. God has been so incredibly kind and gracious to me, SOOOOO far beyond what I deserve or could even fathom. 🥹

as for the ship itself, i just think it’s spectacular! the same way thomesa is, i think thomally is a perfect „two sides of the same coin“ ship which just intrinsically makes me weak in the knees.

both thomas and gally want to protect and ultimately save the people around them—but how they go about it is diametrically opposed.

they’re opposites in so many ways—thomas breaks rules where gally enforces them brutally, thomas urges people to go while gally wants them to stay. thomas wrecks the things gally built, carefully and with his own hands (while ironically, thomas was the one who built the maze itself).

like if you see it from gally‘s point of view, thomas shows up, and he starts tearing apart everything gally built and stands for. gally cares so so much about his fellow gladers—think of the way his voice breaks when he says „i dont want to cross anymore ways off this wall.“ gally knows they’re situation is fucked up, but he has tried so so hard over the 3 years he’s been at the glade to make it into a place that’s worth living in still.

privately i also think the reason why they go up in flames against each other so quickly is bc they’re both instantly attracted to each other, but they don’t understand what that feeling is they’re feeling. so it comes out as aggression instead of friendliness and affection, because while thomas wants gally to like him, and go along with him, gally opposed him at every step.

and i think for gally it’s the fact that he clocks very quickly that thomas isn’t someone he’s going to be able to protect. and that’s a horrible feeling to gally because protecting people is what he does, but also bc he’s feeling that aforementioned undefinable feeling he hasn’t felt before that he doesn’t know yet is attraction….

AIIII OKIE buckle in it's a bit of a ride

(the second one of those is them as a little kid, the other two they're more grown up)

They're human, fully an ordinary human up until they're not. Ordinary, I mean

They realized at about 13 that they were queer, and absolutely did not tell anyone and also tried to repress it bc they were raised to believe queer was Bad and Evil and blah blah blah (this is the emperor's fault and one of many reasons to hate him. he likes conformity and everyone doing what he says). That secrecy led to them also keeping their magic very very secret when it came in at 14.

Four years later they met a pretty faerie and kissed her. She was the first queer person they'd met, and they promptly ran away with her (this is when they choose the name Destiny) and got adopted into the same werewolf pack that'd taken her in. They are still keeping their magic secret, but now that they're dating a girl they start slipping more into their true self-- first a haircut, then 'pretending' to be a boy, to actually being a boy for a bit...

...to meeting a crow with no concept of human gender and figuring out they like 'they' best

Also by then they've half-accidentally revealed their magic. which is like. really fuckin powerful and also super rare bc everyone else with it gets taken away by the Emperor of the world and no one ever hears from them again

also the werewolves who adopted Destiny? are working with a network of rebels who are trying to take down the emperor. and they want Destiny's help. Des agrees, mainly bc they don't want to live in a world where they can't be true to themself, and they can help make things better

Annyyyways there is now a song about them (which I had to write, help (and then my friend is writing music for bc aaaaaa)) (in-story Vida wrote it)

their powers include: teleportation, elemental control (mainly fire bc they have a fire demon teacher, but they've also done earth and ice), transformation (another of their teachers is a werewolf), illusion, communication with their familiar, Nayan (the aforementioned crow- whose concept of gender is 'some of us lay eggs idk'), healing people, magically cleaning things (they used to always do the dishes this way), and yelling at people in power (Nayan calls this a threat display. Destiny calls it stop screwing with me Nox).

Other fun little things!

-given the language that we use, Des would probably id as nonbinary and bi/pansexual (partly depends on When storywise bc rn they're the only enby they know). as is they id as "I'm not a boy or a girl I'm a they" and "idk there are pretty people but the prettiest is Vida"

-their newest nickname for their girlfriend, Vida, is "meri jaan", or "my life". the first time they call her that is after Vida gets arrested for singing about Destiny. bc singing about how the king of the world is "a coward and a fucking fraud" and is going to get beaten by a young upstart mage is treason, who knew

-(they're so absolutely furious about this btw. it's very sweet)

-Destiny keeps being impulsive but it keeps working out so

-I've said this before and I'll say it again: I love how Destiny was raised being told "don't give your name to strangers bc faeries can use it to steal you away" and then the first faerie they meet they try TWICE to give her their name and she says no (it's their deadname but it wasn't at that point)

-in a modern AU Des would be Indian or Indian-American and an activist, but I haven't figured out for exactly what. probably for queer rights, at least at first

-Destiny is 19 at the point I am in writing

-Nayan likes to call them "my Destiny" and when they speak out loud (as crows can do) they always choose Destiny's voice to speak with

-they like having long hair, but they do NOT like getting mistaken for a girl. After The Haircut that helps them realize some gendery stuff, they grow their hair out again even longer than before

hello!! this is my selfship introductory post!!!

(i’m posting two versions of this post— one with all these lovely little gifs, and one without, as i know some people can be sensitive to them <33)

some basics on the selfship!!!

we appear to be solar opposites in a bunch of different ways!

he’s calm and collected, always keeping things to himself unless he wants to ruin someone’s entire life and be painfully blunt about something HAKDJAHDSJS. whereas i seemingly am open, emotional, and spirited!!

my alias is “juliette rae ambers” (YES i created a full ass pseudo name dhsjdkajdjajajs). but to distinguish me irl and in-selfship-universe me, i’ll refer to my self insert as “juliette” whenever i talk about them.

L first met juliette through a past case, as they did some SHADY looking shit lmao. she’s just that eccentric and erratic <333

SO after spending some time with her, he eventually realizes they’re not apart of the case. like at ALL. but L basically goes “okay. wait, what the fuck’s wrong with her actually?” and continues to spend time with them because of that HAHAJDJSJSKSJS (again— juliette is eccentric and unpredictable.)

watari brings up how excited and affectionate juliette gets whenever he catches a glimpse of them together. L doesn’t get why watari is bringing this up. watari suggests that perhaps, juliette has a crush on L.

yeah, so L’s brain crashes DHSKDJSKDJAJHSAKS

he didn’t even think of that as a POSSIBILITY because he views himself as undesirable, ugly, creepy, etc (🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺)

so L brings this up with juliette. she denies it terribly (because they’re such a mess when they’re flustered), but after relenting, L reveals that he brought it up because he’s interesting in learning more about it. he has trouble identifying his own emotions and hasn’t been in love before, so he asks me to be apart of a study. it’s just information, essentially, letters detailing specific sensations and lovey dovey thoughts i get of him.

i agree to it because i LOVE psychology and have always wanted to be apart of a psychological study!

but at this point, L isn’t in love with me. he slowly falls over time, much to his mental debates on if it’s “ethical” or not. (he’s overthinking it!!! ALSO, WOW, L thinking about morals when it comes to someone?? they must be a ~special someone~ to him 🤭)

the stoic character who keeps to himself is (mutually) in love with the visually expressive, musically inclined jester!!! (does this make sense 😭)

juliette is with L throughout the entire kira case. the first time the taskforce meets L, she’s just standing to his right side (it’s a whole thing) in a lolita getup, so they assume, like watari, that juliette is a maid to L of sorts. but NO, juliette just fucking LOVES fashion lmaooooooo

ANYWAYS, what i’m trying to get to is that juliette loves music. it connects to them on such a deep level, and they love to sing and entertain. so sometimes, as a break/interlude in the kira case, she sings and plays songs. (they’re oddly captivating… just like a performer at an event.)

L can’t have the taskforce knowing him and juliette’s interpersonal relationship, so he and juliette have silently agreed to refer to each other as “associates” whenever the question comes up.

juliette talks out loud a lot as a habit. but, again, she likes to be entertaining first and foremost, so she only says things she thinks will be the most intriguing. she can keep to herself just fine. but L knows. he knows how intentional everything they do is. he can relate, and is intrigued about this part of them. and without fail, he listens, catalogues, and responds to everything she says U///U because he caaaaares 🥹🥹🥹 (much to light’s annoyance during the case lol)

once misa starts to reside in the taskforce headquarters, you fucking KNOW she and juliette would become ✨fashion besties✨ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

juliette is very silly, laidback, loose, witty, thoughtful, and compassionate. will and has been promptly serious when the time calls for it.

juliette has forced L to watch rocky horror with them so. many. times. it’s now their couple movie of sorts aha <3

juliette cannot STAND light. he’s such an arrogant bitch baby, so she insults and burns him constantly (which L… enjoys 👀 JFKSJFKSJDKSJS, HE LOVES THE FACT THAT I CAN DEFEND MYSELF AND THAT I’M NOT A DOORMAT)

it’s so interesting to listen to these two talk. cause like, L is formal, a bit oddly polite in his wording, and naturally uses long words here and there. juliette, on the other hand, is very casual in speech. she casually swears, she refers to others with “dude,” “bro,” and “man,” and uses some slang words here and there. the taskforce members gawk at the sheer contrast sometimes.

so juliette’s mainly goth, right?? misa introduces her to the fashion, and she fucking loves it. her usual goth color combo is hot pink and black!!

…buuuuuut, juliette likes fashion in general, so sometimes she wear “pretty in pink” ass y2k outfits, then at other times glam rock-y, then gritty type of clothing, then elegant, they girly, then—

L loves to see whatever outfit they come up with (he for sure spoils the FUCK out of her hahajdjsjsja awwwwwwwww 😊 <333)
