I'm not familiar with ACOTAR, since I usually (always) borrow books from my sister and she doesn't have those. Also they don't print them at the moment in my country & I don't like reading online. But I'm a big fan of ToG! So I'm familiar what types of clothing the writer likes to give characters. Honestly have no idea if I nailed it or not, but I like it and that's what matters. Read the fandom wiki about the night court, but didn't help much.

Goth princess

I'm getting bored of my black clothes ngl 😩 I had a friend when I was still at school who dressed similar, SO COOL. Lowkey that was my inspiration. Didn't want to just recreate a similar outfit as the night court because the theme also had 'princess'. Also I know goth people not only wear black, but my candy's wardrobe only has white, blue, black, and some other colors scattered around. Also there's a lot of different goth "subgenres" (??) so I don't know, I tried doing something based on my memories of that friend I had. I just hope people won't stick with the sexualized e-girl "goth" outfits, so much wasted potential. • (Yes I'm writing this before the rankings were done. Future me are the podium outfits good?) • (Yes they're fine dw about it past me) • Such an interesting style, also the music is amazing!

Grave digger

Well it's more of a grave robber but anyway 😬 I had two inspirations but both of them were only from my memories, didn't feel like looking up references. The first one was that grave digger from that old online game bloodmoon if anyone knows that? It was a "waiting game", we could go help the grave digger to have money when we were out of energy for the day from missions. The second was from the second episode of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities where the robber found huge rat monsters in graves. Tried to do older vibe, feel like the theme fits more with that than today's.

Zombie

Well I love The Walking Dead and overall zombie movies. Thought about cosplaying a survivor but nah, the theme is zombie, let's do a zombie. Just dressed her in basic clothes that can somewhat be considered messy and put "blood" on her. Taki is a normal civilian as well, in civilian clothes. I was trying to do something messy, kinda bunker-like with the room. Overall a simple theme, nothing much to say about it.

Got low ranking with it (why do the podium zombies sparkling tho... do they know... zombies are literally rotting flesh... and they don't sparkle... it really annoys me when the outfit is so good and then they put sparkles and butterflies over it for no reason)

Some bonus infos

Saw complaints (not just on tumblr) about "white candies cosplaying for black candies in style contests" and how it's so offensive. While I agree it's icky when someone only uses them in "dark" themes, I don't consider my outfits problematic, since I used them randomly. Still I rather stayed with my newcrette's skin with the last 10-15 entries I made because fueling this in any way is not on the table for me. I really wanted to use different skin colors but I guess it's safer to stay with the default I have.

This is not a complaint nor a conversation starter (although I'm always open for that), I just wanted to clarify why the same skin color every time from now on. It's not because I don't want to use the other ones. And no I am not mad in any way. Spreading that emotion is the last thing I want to do, that's why I made this decision in the first place.

Hi! AHHHHHHH I HAVE SO MANY HAIKYUU ASKS SITTING IN MY INBOX, I just- I get very emo while thinking about Haikyuu, so sorry to everyone who has asked me about Haikyuu till now...

Okay, not gonna lie but I LOVE EVERYONE SINGLE HAIKYUU CHARACTER, CAN I NOT SAY EVERYONE IS MY FAVORITE????😭😭😭 but if I had to choose top 5 with a gun to my head because that's the only scenario where I would think of choosing:

(1) Hinata Shouyo (is anyone even surprised anymore): Baby boy, sunshine incarnate, my most handworking baby, I need to meet him and tell him personally how proud I am of him.

(2) Tsukishima Kei: his character development and his growth is the greatest thing to witness and he genuinely so sarcastic and mean I love it.

(3) Kita-san: You ever encounter a character that changes the way you view the world, because that's what Kita Shinsuke did to mine. The words he says just, it just hits hard and it hits home.

(4) Oikawa Tooru: See I am not immune to incredibly annoying but endearing characters. And he nails that category with flying colors.

(5) Kenma Kozume: Oh he is someone I did not think I would like, let alone be on top 5 but Kenma really just full of surprises, especially post-timeskip Kenma, I fucking love that Kenma he genuinely one of the best, I wish him the best in life!

Uhhhhhh my top 5 moments might contain some spoilers so guys please if you haven't read Haikyuu, PLEASE DON'T LOOK I BEG YOU(trust me it's better if you read it on your own or wait for the next movie installment):

(1) When you lost but you are still smiling because you finally FINALLY found your equal ah <3

(2) The little Giant vs The World's Greatest Decoy...Actually I applaud Furudate-sensei for even thinking of them like this because people were going on about Hinata would be jealous of Hoshiumi and how there would be a type of resentment between the two because they both might want the little giant title but Furudate said no and gave the greatest story about upliftment, finding your own self-identity and paving your own paths (writing this thru my tears btw I realise now why I don't talk about Haikyuu that much I just start crying lmfao)

(3) “it’s just a club” - this scene making top 5 because one, it’s literally PEAK FICTION and story telling and two, I saw my little sister ugly cried to this scene…shoutout to my little sister

(4) I am not even gonna say anything except the fact I was paralyzed in utter shock during this scene. Also this scene followed by Takeda sensei...I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW IT CHANGED THE TRAJECTORY OF MY LIFELINE.

(5) The entirety of Brazil arc...Gun to my head I can't not choose one moment out of it because every panel, every interaction and everything about this arc is phenomenal

My unwanted opinions on these rankings are below the cut😙❤

S Tier

#1 - I freaking LOVE when he ties his hair like that😍 Its so Hwang Hyunjin. I'm also generally a sucker for when he does black hair so-

#2 - All of y'all that said Hyunjin looks bad with short hair should compete in a contest to see who can swallow the biggest cactus🤗 LOOK AT HIM. LOOK. AT. HIM. If you think he doesn't look absolutely gorgeous you're blind as fuck and that's coming from someone who can't read a sheet of paper that's more than a foot away from their face.

#3 - Mother. Need I say more?

#4 - I'm a sucker for long blonde haired Hyunjin and as I said before, when he ties his hair up like that? I'M GONE😵 (If Mother didn't exist it would've been in the #3 spot)

#5 - Can we have shiny brown mullet Hyunjin back?🙏🏼 Please JYP?😃 I'm asking nicely😁🔪 No because this was a one hit wonder- GIVE HIM BACK TO ME PLEASE!! I NEED HIM BACK😭😭😭

#1 - Controversial opinion, Red Hair isn't Hyunjin's best hairstyle😶 He looks absolutely fantastic, in that picture and all other variants of styles he's worn the red hair in but personally, it just doesn't hit like some of the others do for me. Not S Tier but definitely at the top of A Tier because those concert pics and clips of him with the messy red hair? [The rest of this message has been redacted for the safety of this users image]

#2 - The plaites on one side and then letting the rest fall wavy and its blonde? Someone save me from the Skater boy!Hyunjin thoughts because they are not healthy thoughts to be having😔

#5 - Ah yes, Thunderous Hyunjin. The one that had my mouth on the floor when he appeared on screen with those hair clips. Time has pushed it this far down in A tier but it still holds a precious place in my heart💝 He looks like a historical Princess be so fucking for real

#2 - Short black hair Hyunjin is a gem but it doesn't hit as hard as all I've previously mentioned

#4 - Pink haired Hyunjin isn't necessarily behind platinum blonde, I'd say they're more equal grounds for me. Unique and gorgeous styles that I think sit comfortably in B Tier but that's just for me

#5 - I really liked this hairstyle and needed it on the list but I was having trouble figuring out where to out it😅 I think its in the right place, its a very cozy? hairstyle. I think cozy is the right word for it, yeah

#6 - Look at baby Hyunnie😭💔💔💔 He's so freaking cute stop it!💘 I love the waves over his forehead and I just love his wavy hair in general, that's why I included it

#1 - Hyunjin and his Geto cosplay😂 Personally, not among my favorite styles from him but it's definitely a look you had to be there to appreciate fully and boy am I glad I was here when he surprised us with it😭

#2 - It isn't my favorite hairstyle of his nor do I think it's his best BUT 1. That's my personal take & 2. It's literally RULE that no one looks good with a bowl cut and yet here Hyunjin is still somehow managing to not look as ass as this hairstyle usually has its wearers looking😭 Like I agree it's not his best but my man does NOT look as bad as some of y'all were saying. So stop being jerks and go take a walk <3

A Decidedly Unserious Review of Hair 2001 (ft. Drew Sarich)

I’m back for another lunatic review. This time: the 2001 recording of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. This is so silly. I literally decided to do this like two hours ago because @peppi-mint wanted to hear my thoughts on it. Well, peppi, prepare to get an earful because I had some THOUGHTS

(I’m so sorry)

Aquarius- um. This is literally so cool. The hip-hop beat sets the tone, which is vastly different from every Hair recording I’ve heard. And then the violins come in and it’s like YOOOOO. And then the broadway singing comes in and it’s like YOOOOOOOOOOO! And then the dissonant harmonies hit and it’s like YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I really like this. Very different and fresh and new and Y2K in the best way. I can’t stress how fucking amazing those harmonies sound.

Donna- Ok, Drew!! Give us that punk-rock energy! The electric guitar sound is really neat, and I kinda dig the reverb as well as the way Sarich sings most of the lines straight intentionally. Whereas the harmonies were highlighted in the last song, they act more as a part of the orchestra in this song, but it still feels full and tasteful. Really enjoying this so far.

Hashish- I’ve literally always skipped “Hashish.” It’s boring to me. I’m a sober loser. But THIS?! What are they doing to my boring hashish!! The instrumentation is so experimental and interesting to listen to. I like that the cast isn’t going over the top with the vocals, too. They’re supposed to be high, so going full belt and vibrato isn’t really the vibe.

Sodomy- I’m literally Debbie Reynolds-ing right now. This guy’s voice has me biting my lip for real. Catch me joining the Holy Orgy ™ any day of the week.

Colored Spade- This production is obviously informed heavily by black music. Which makes this song slightly more comfortable to listen to. I can’t really speak on it though- I’m white. All I can say is: it’s a bop. Also, the second half?? So fucking groovy. Yes I’m using that word unironically. It’s a good word.

Manchester England- Stripped down acoustic guitar… mkay I can get with that. Makes the full orchestration pop out more. Loving these glam rock vocals from Kyrre Kvam.

I’m Black- It was literally 22 seconds long and sounded like a car commercial with that fade in and fade out I’m lmao 😭Where’s my Ain’t Got No?!?!?!?

Dead End- Ok so I rarely hear this one in any recorded productions. I’ve only ever really heard it in college production bootlegs I watch on Youtube. This version has me saying WHY DID THEY REMOVE IT?!? It’s seriously so good. 

Air- The vocal affectation that Jeannie usually has tends to annoy me, which I guess is intentional, but I’m glad it’s more toned down here. The industrial sound of the instruments clashes with the light and breezy vocals in a really fascinating way. It’s like a big burly man wearing a flowery perfume. Thumbs up from me. 

I Got Life- Teehee if you take out your left earbud you get an a capella intro 🤭Anyway, I always love this song. This version is no exception. Treat Williams is still top, tho (Rest in Peace, King). 

Hair- The titular bitchular! (-Athena P on YT). Something about the way the sound is split between each ear in the intro (vocals in one ear, guitar in the other) is ticking me off. That’s just me, though. Overall, this sounds so fucking good and it’s such a vibe. I’m not sure if it’s Kvam or Sarich who hits those high notes but they hit, man.

My Conviction- Hehehehehe this sounds so out of place I love it. (It’s supposed to- just like Herod’s song in JCS)! Also how are these vocals from a man?? They aren’t my favorite but they sound soooo much like a woman that’s crazy. Anyway gender is fake

Easy To Be Hard- Um. Can we say elegant? Can we say… mystical? GORGINA?!? BRO when the,,, fuck what is it, a marimba or some shit comes in with that overarching angelic tone- fuuuuuucccckkkkk. So good. Also the shaker keeping the beat tastes good. I can taste this song. It tastes like a capri-sun on a hot day. I’m in love. Hold up- added verse? Why haven’t I heard this-

Frank Mills- Awwwwww this is cute. I like this woman’s voice. Very smooth and nice to listen to. What I’m noticing so far about this album is that they treat each song like it’s its own person, you know? Like- every tune sounds coherent and like it belongs, but it also sounds like its own thing with its own special instrumentation. It’s just. So neat.

Be In - Hare Krishna- The speaker shifting got me like 🫠so good. It’s like ASMR. Another thing I’m noticing about the ensemble vocals is that they’re so… earnest? They aren’t worn like clothing, they’re like a part of the individual. ... Any arrangement that can make me describe music like this deserves the world.

Where Do I Go- Fuck. I just love arrangements that do something new. This sound is so clean and genuine and beautiful. If I could insert John Savage’s vocals into this it would be perfect (No shade to Kvam- I just love the movie version of this song so much). This is probably my favorite song from the musical (I literally wrote a 30k+ word fanfiction based on its lyrics), and I’m sooooo utterly pleased with this interpretation of it. All I’ll say is that the end could’ve been a bit louder/more intense- it is an Act I closer, after all. More drums, please!

Electric Blues- TELL ME WHOOOOOO DO YOU LOVE MAN! *guitar* Ermmm I love Electric Blues I love it. I wanna inject this song into my bloodstream. This version doesn’t stray too much from the original, and it slaps. Always does. Also I just realized this came out before the Broadway revival. I wonder if the revival folks took a bit of inspo from this version 🤔

Black Boys- ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS (I love the staccato guitar chords, offbeat, percussion, tonal shift during the solo represented by the instrumentation, and just everything else about this).

White Boys- My eyes literally rolled to the back of my skull during that intro. So good!! So tasty! Also these VOCALS! Less energy than the others I’ve heard, but that’s not a criticism. It’s more reminiscent of the original cast recording. Once again, ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS. 🍽️

Walking in Space- dodo do do dodo dooooooo. (guitar). Again, the vocalists aren’t overdoing it, which is working. I’ll probably smoke marijuana to this song at some point. Looking forward to it. Also when she sang “ 🎶floooooooaaating, flipping, flyyyyyying, tripping 🎶” I was like 😶‍🌫️(that’s me floating flipping flying tripping). . I want to consume these vocals

The War- Don’t think I’ve heard this one in any other production? It definitely fits the vibe they’re going for. I’d love to know the context for it. Eh, actually, I think I can guess...

Three-Five-Zero-Zero- Listening to this is making me realize how important the bass guitar is as an instrument. Songs would sound so much less full without its constant, droning presence. Also, I would’ve loved to see them lean even further into the experimental vibe for this one so that the tonal shift would sound more stark. Regardless, it all sounds really good. Love the harmonies, especially at the end.

Good Morning Starshine- I have a poster of these three words in my room. Also, I like this version of the song. Very 2001. Kinda reminds me of that song “Walking on Sunshine,” similar vibes. Not my favorite version, but still a bop and very fun. 

The Flesh Failures/Eyes Look Your Last- Guitar is so yummy. I don’t like the chorus singing the first part. I’m just too used to it being a soloist or Claude. Also, it feels kinda too fast? Sorry, I have ridiculously high standards for this song. I think it’s one of the best songs ever written. Given that fact, it’s hard to fuck it up. So, this sounds really good still, obviously. Just didn’t hit quite as hard for me. I feel like they tried so hard to make every other song sound unique and they dropped the ball a bit here. It sounds like they’re trying to just get it over with… which is very contradictory to the song’s message. Also, why isn’t “Let the Sunshine In” a part of the title? Seems kinda important 😬

Overall, I was really impressed by this album. I’m glad I took a listen. It seems like a very approachable version of the controversial musical. I think it’d be a good album to show friends that aren’t into musicals but should still get to enjoy Hair. Some choices weren’t my style, but I’m genuinely so astounded and excited by others. Act I was better than Act II. Drew Sarich was great, and so was the rest of the cast. Ultimately, a very cool take on one of my favorite musicals of all time. Thanks again to @peppi-mint for recommending this to me- I’m so happy I got to do another silly little stream-of-consciousness musical review!

My first impression: She had me laughing when she was pressing that one man about his opinion on her being a model.

My impression now: She is best girl! I adore her! She is indeed funny as hell, a badass and also bit of a softie.

Favorite thing about that character: Jumping off from the last point, I love that Nobara is indeed a badass, but she also still has feelings, you know? She's someone who will have your back, on or off the field of battle.

Least favorite thing: That she hasn't returned yet... 😭 (Yep, I refuse to believe she's actually dead. In this series??)

Favorite line/scene: There's a lot of Nobara scenes I love, but to choose I gotta say the scene where she and Panda were teasing Momo. "Nishimiya, there in a tree! Come down and play!" I can still hear that line, makes me laugh every single time. 😆

Favorite interaction that character has with another: Oooh, it is hard to choose here because I love her interactions with Megumi and Yuji. Then there's her relationship with Maki. But I'm giving it to Fumi here. Just seeing her and Fumi as kids and growing up together really touched me heart. Fumi was like a cool breeze to Nobara's summer day. I teared up a little when they were saying good-bye to each other.

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: Definitely would love to have seen more interactions with her and Maki. I love the interactions we did get though, but damn it! I want more of them!

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: At first, I couldn't think of anyone, but then Kendo Itsuka from BNHA came to mind. They're both these kickass girls who don't take nothing from nobody, but they also have a good heart.

A headcanon about that character: I headcanon that she didn't aim for her hair to be an orange color, at first. She wanted a more pinkish-color (like a salmon or a coral pink), but she picked up the wrong color, but decided to try the orange anyways. She immediately loved it.

A song that reminds of that character: There's actually two Shawn Wasabi songs that reminds me of Nobara. One of them is called Tokyo Tea. It's a really cute song, but also has this aggressive beat to it. It is so Nobara, I promise you it is. And the lyrics and all!

An unpopular opinion about that character: I really want people to leave the "She's JJK's Sakura" in 2023. She is not, never has been to me, I'm just saying. "She's useless", if Itadori, who whooped Mahito something fierce, can recognize Nobara's technique was used on Mahito that gave him the opening and thanked her, why the fuck can't people who call her useless recognize that she isn't?

Favorite picture: There's quite a bit of pictures of Nobara I love, but two I'll say are these. I had been rewatching season 1, and yep! I still love rose tattooed, feral Nobara. The second picture amuses me.

I did my best to organize these, but they're all incredibly random with no real theme so I'm sorryyy!!😭

TLOU Universe HCs:

Mel has a pile of those adult coloring books that she always picks up on patrol thinking she'll enjoy doing them but never does because she hates how everything looks so boxy

She doesn't like cooking very much but she will spend hours making home cooked meals for her patients and has done so multiple times for Manny's dad

Mel found Alice wandering the streets as a puppy and saved her from infected and brought her back to the stadium

She learned how to do Nora's hair when they were kids cause Nora wasn't properly taught and accidentally got a brush stuck in it

OKAY SO I LOVED DING  ROUND 3!!!!! Ngl I was a tad bit frustrated with Harry in this one but only because my guy is just a bit impatient when it comes to her lol And I know he means NO harm when asking her about what happened the night of her date and why she ended up in the classes like he truly just CARES about her so I get him! Plus with knowing his backstory of how he has always been a “protector” and his whole deal with how he processes his own emotions, it makes sense his behavior! But Cupcake is also going through it and it’s clear that they are on opposite spectrums on how they deal with things. AND it is something very hard to process no matter the outcome of it and it’s harder to say it out loud because it feels like it makes it ‘real’ if that makes sense lol. Anyways TELL ME WHY THAT GROSS MAN IS AT HER BAKERY?!?! I WANT TO SCREAM AND SCARE HIM AWAY FROM HER!!! BUT I'm glad that this was a nice way to lead Harry and Cupcake to have their own vulnerable moments! BUT AHHHH I LOVED IT SAM! YOU DID GREAT AS ALWAYS!!

NOW THE NEIGHBORS EXTRA 😭I LOVE RORY SO MUCH😭I think last month or so (i have no concept of time anymore) I re-read the whole story and extras in one go… I have no idea why my brain does this but it was worth it lol ANYWAYS ugh i loved it! Now my reasoning for my slight disappearance lol I have had two midterms this week and basically from now until the end of the quarter it’s mainly exams! I think I will end somewhere in June, I'm starting week 5 out of 10 next week! And I fear I will be taking summer courses :( I really fucked up my second year so that’s kinda why I need to take some courses in order to graduate on time lol . But I've only had a few TAs where I personally have been attracted to which have all been from my psyc courses lol and Ugh I MISS  MY HOT PROFESSOR 😭 I LONG for that man and its pathetic😭 and literally if you did call me an idiot, I would NOT blame you because I am one the majority of the time 😂 oh I wanted to be on my knees when he gave his lecture lol

And it really was nice! I got a limited edition Paramore/David Byrne vinyl and Lauefy’s A night at the symphony vinyl! And some other classical records! My main reason for waking up early was to get a Paramore poster and Sam when I tell you I CALLED all the stores within my city/county and only ONE had them, I wanted to cry! I didn't get it because the line was HUGE and the moment I found out they ran out I wanted to jump off a building 😀 But overall i had a nice time! And ooo what color is your record?

I totally get the shopping part! I too have my fair share of body image issues so I don’t blame you for feeling like that. But I'm glad you were able to find some clothes that you feel at least okay in! I'm sure you’ll look lovely in your choices! And I'm glad you had a nice break! So glad you liked Ding and Neighbors! I was a bit worried about Neighbors--I struggle with angsty stuff sometimes but I guess maybe it's the whole it's coming from my brain thing again.
