Borrowed a novelisation of Castrovalva from my university’s Doctor Who society and brought it home with me, and the thing is it has an absolutely dogshit cover, just cringe as fuck, and I accidentally left it on my fucking bed and my dad walked in and picked it up and looked at it and made a noise somewhere between confusion and amusement and then left. And I just started questioning my entire life and what I was even doing wasting it on this silly stupid sci-fi show and how my choices had led me here.

#I was literally watching p.r.o.b.e on the Internet archive the other day too and then I listened to a big finish audio.#I am beyond salvation #I’m in deep #I want to get off this fucking train but I missed my stations and now I don’t know where to get off #doctor who #I feel like I’ve circled all the way back to my BATIM era #like I had a good thing going for a couple of years where j&h was my most prominently expressed interest #and that was good because it was a bit weird but it was also like. a classic of English lit #and I could talk about jstor essays about it and stuff #like an intellectual #whereas in my BATIM phase I was kind of trapped between all consuming interest #and a constant awareness of my own cringeness #and I still like j&h but at a certain point you exhaust the adaptations you can easily access #and therefore talk about #without circling back to the same points and ideas as before #and now I’ve tripped down the stairs straight back into my ‘shit that is poorly written by hacks 9/10’ bullshit #and it’s just like. man. can I be free.#can I escape #can I have interests that don’t make me seem like a weirdo #I think in that moment I did legitimately astral project back to one time when I was 12 and I was wearing a bendy shirt #and someone asked me what it was and I had to tell them #and then they and their friends all looking at me in like disapproval and amusement #and it embarrassed me so much I walked around holding my violin to my chest so no one could see the logo #and then never wore those shirts again unless I had a hoodie or a coat over them #also when I read the bendy books and people would ask me what they were #and I would have to relive that experience all over again #I was basically known as ‘the bendy girl’ for most of my secondary school years by both my bullies and my friends #even after I had started trying to distance myself from it #and now I’m at uni and everyone knows me as like. doctor who girl. and I’m like oh god It’s Happening Again.

#both kiet’s whm and blm staves are salvaged from the depths of the coils #and kiet turned them into weapons for her own amusement #that and she finds allagan tech very interesting #she further augments both weapons in ayz la #her scholar book is as much scrapbook as it is arcanamia formulas #it’s so full of odds and ends and she loves it #eyrie’s biggest lore is that their drk + war weapons were gifts from Hydaelyn #one of their bows was a special commission from the newly liberated bozja #it’s based on the gunhildr’s weapons but fitted to their specifications #the other is a bow they recieved during pandamonium #i gotta make a list at some point bc even some noncanonical jobs still have lore to the weapon #I’m also just. I like the weapons I have for eyrie #asphodelos harp bow. the bozja final step for bard + ast + whm #the bozja whm cane w/o the vfx my beloved #owen talks

what if you wanted to wake up from your horrific dream of being an anime girl in a gorey anime who lived a time loop of being tortured and killed relentlessly by the one person who loved her (this was not higurashi somehow) but god said no you're going to see your skin ripped off and then watch yourself get vacuumed up. yeah all of you. yeah the dream ends once it gets to your eyes and brain. like fucking christ man alright

#first in line is finishing the sewing requests. a regular deer and lion keychain and sometimes else maybe if i remember correctly #i also want to write some short stories with my doggie ocs because i've been doing just shape studies drawings with them lately..#and i'll have to decide on some things i'd like to translate for my own amusement in the near future #because i'm tweaking two translations rn but i like to jump between many different projects #i think my ru>pl translation of shortparis' apple orchard is a very funny case because i'm stuck in so many places and it's very shit #meanwhile the ru>eng translation was very quick and all the problems/choices were resolved quite easily #one of those cases when the closeness of the two languages makes everything more difficult..

proseka movie was a fun experience. I brought the creature and mizuki. unfortunately no poster or standee displays at my location to take pictures with though 💔

#the movie is okay. overall nothing spectacular imo but it handles the source material as well and faithfully as it could I feel #almost so faithfully that it wounds the runtime a bit by dragging out some parts as some project sekai stories tend to do but whatever #im only fully caught up to nightcord and one year into the rest of the group side stories but I still understood what was going on. so yay #honestly the animated recap shorts they released for journey to bloom could've been played before the movie. that might help newcomers idk #gkids did something like that for promare's release here a few years ago. I wonder why they chose not to for this... strange #mizuki an and ena were in it quite a bit though so im satisfied :] no spoilers but there's some cool stuff it does with the sekai lore too #hopefully one day a movie just about vocal synths will be made somehow. this made me want one even more #not that I dislike proseka but I would like a non-gacha game associated miku/vocaloid movie someday. if that at all would be possible #this movie's message could've stood on its own when told through vocal synths instead of the ocs instead but I digress...#this was still easily one of the most lively moviegoing experiences ive had. I went to the last miku expo and it was comparable #not to the point that it was annoying! thankfully! it was a very packed premiere showing so I was worried a little #I forgot to bring my penlights for the after show... so I waved around the creature instead to not feel left out lol #(I was not alone by the way! lots of people brought plushies and penlights! there was also a lot of project sekai cosplayers)#still amused by the fact that deco wrote each of the group songs. I find them a little more likeable with context now #how many songs have they made recently. ive lost count #meow.txt

I'm actually very curious about this now.

probably not a lot of people on here know this but I'm like low key a scientology watcher. generally i'm very on and off with how closely I keep up with them, but I'm for sure the most knowledgable person about scientology that I know personally. which I say to illustrate that I know how badly scientology is doing currently from like a retention and recruiting standpoint

and I also know that the only somewhat notable scientology org in my area is in Baton Rouge, but even that I sort of assumed wasn't really doing great since I've caught them having to obscure the fact that they're scientology in some of their more recent ads. and in general scientology outside of Clearwater or LA is crumbling

but I was in a Barnes and Noble in Baton Rouge yesterday (the one in Citiplace if anyone is curious) and there were at least six scientologists there with Dianetics tables and e meters and everything offering "free stress tests."

the main things I'm surprised about is 1) that Barnes and Noble let them do that and 2) that they could wrangle enough local scientologists to do that in the first place. I'm suddenly very curious about the exact number of scientologists in the BR area

#I have no idea if they were sea org or not #I'd kinda assume not but I suppose its possible since I'm surprised they were there at all #they did offer me a free stress test #because I was probably the only person in that place unconcerned with walking past them when they were very obviously blocking the walkway #and like I really wanted to do it #but like at the end of the day I don't want to contribute their numbers in any way #and I don't want to talk advantage of cultists for my own amusement knowing that I know more about their cult then they do #because like they're the actual vicitms of scientology at the end of the day #so I just politely told them no thank you
