okay since i’ve just been saying things lately let’s keep these good vibes going and talk ghost story modern au 👻
in my head this whole situation is wildly different bc. well that’s the point of a modern au
john is a troubled criminal. he and abigail accidentally had jack quite young and john has been in and out of prison in the meantime for robberies and gang involvement etc. he’s a bit of a deadbeat. she keeps pushing for child support and he keeps insisting he’s not the father and it’s messy and they have definitely hit one another in more than one court room and subsequently been excused
the van der linde gang went down recently after micah got in bed w the law, working out a deal where he and dutch went free but everyone who didn’t get out soon enough took the fall. arthur was killed in the takedown. john, after watching his brother die and having been left for dead himself, has not only a chip on his shoulder but some decent time to do. towards the end of his sentence he participates in a criminal reformation program involving equine therapy
ghost is actually not a criminal in this one, and their family is still alive; they help run their family’s big ranching operation which just so happens to do outreach programs w the nearby prison. this is how they meet john
it’s john’s first time really handling a horse, and as ghost shows everyone how to muck stalls and mend fences and other basic horse/farm care, john finds that his determination to hate the whole program fades away. he’s mesmerized by ghost’s easy competency, and is now determined to match that skill. he starts asking questions and trying to pick up extra chores on every visit
when it comes time to assign the mustangs that each prisoner will work with and gentle, he’s easily the best in the group. john chooses a proud, crest-necked flaxen liver chestnut horse he calls old boy. at the program’s graduation, when the horses are publicly auctioned, ghost wins the bid for old boy. john is sad to leave him but thrilled he ended up w ghost, and ghost tell him that when he gets out he should stop by to visit
as soon as his sentence is up he does, and ghost’s father promptly offers him a job. he’s still a novice in all things ranching, but he’s loyal and he works hard and when they have problems with predators on the property line he’s the first to grab a rifle and volunteer to run them off. he and ghost forge a close, pining friendship, and after his first year there they officially gift him old boy back. he cries
it’s a whole new take on redemption for john. as he leans into his new responsibilities he starts to realize he can’t abandon his old ones and begins paying child support and visiting the son he’s barely fathered and the single mother he left to do it all. ghost’s dad is really proud of him, and so is ghost. when jack comes by the ranch ghost gives him his first riding lesson. they offer to teach abigail too, but she insists she likes her feet on solid ground. while ghost and jack are busy abigail advises john to act on his budding feelings for ghost, and not to mess things up this time
ghost loves dancing, so john mans up and asks them if they’d like to go out on the town with him. they grab some drinks at the local dive-bar and then ghost lights up once the line dancing starts. john has two left feet but he joins in beside them and they dance the night away, eventually confessing their feelings. they definitely fuck in the truck before heading back to the ranch (whore behavior)
then the paths diverge. either this is the redemption john didn’t realize he needed that he keeps earning every day and it’s happily ever after, or he learns about micah from sadie and they track him down and kill him. then things would spiral into a modern rehash of rdr1 where he’s eventually forced to track down his old gang members for arrest and instead of his promised immunity they lock john up again/stage an ‘accident’ :)
this is sort of the bare-bones Vision but i do daydream abt it often…. ❤️🔥

Hi hewwo hi you've activated the OC infodumping session!
Theres quite a few of them so I'll just throw the big deal ones at you as an introduction!
I will give a quick content warning for body horror and blood for some of the images. those are at the end when im showing off my favourite oc
First up are the main group from my original OC world, the very originals for my cast of many morons who run around in my head rent free 24/7 365
Aurora, Avry, Jessi, Lusikka, Amaris, and Wrath
Aurora was the first oc out of all of them! She started out as my fursona back when i was starting to be online regularly, now though im well past that since Arty borty here has well since become her own character rather than just me but furry
Aurora is a Fennec Lyotternx, otherwise known as a furred folk Chimera in the oc's world. It simply means both her parents were a mix of some form so she's roughly 1/3 fennec fox, 1/3 lynx and 1/3 otter. She come form a long line of furred folk who protect a large forested area outside of a small town called Cedar Creek. She's also a magic user! She uses Phytomancy - plant magic. Though she's not great at it.
Avry Rayne is in fact my daughter i love her so so so much she's great! one of The Big Three ocs who are constantly on my mind at any given moment (you'll see the other two soon). if I were to actually take the time to write anything out for this group of ocs she's probably the closest to a main character. In a setting full of furries, mythical creatures, modern day magic etc etc She got the short end of the stick. literally nothing magic or supernatural wise. She's just you're regular ol average person trying to survive fighting a literal demon of shadow taking over the world for her own amusement. She's got mommy issues and is head over heels for her best friend, Jessi.
Jessi is the resident shapeshifter which Ive done some worldbuilding on and posted about awhile back here and probably the most level headed of the three. She certainly has her head on straight more or less. She's strongly tied to dragons which are a critically endangered species in this world. Jess is part shapeshifter and part werecreature- specifically a weredragon. Due to the fact she can't control it, her shapechange on the fullmoon resembles more the wolfman style of werewolves than just a straight change to the animal itself. The fact she can't control it is one of her biggest fears and around the time of a full moon she'll run off deep into the forest to get as far away from humanity as possible, hoping to lessen the chance of the weredragon hunting anyone she cares about.
Amaris is the shadow demon who is causing problems on purpose for fun. She revels in chaos and wants to see the world turn to absolute madness. in this world she is the source of all your sleep paralysis demon stories. She's actually an entity from another dimension who was cast out for an attempted hostile takeover of her home realm. She has complete control over shadows, to the extent that she has her own sort of backrooms esque shadow passages she uses to get around quickly. So long as she can fit through a shadow she can essentially teleport through it. Its not that hard for her to fit through things though. the small stature of 4'9" helps a bit.
Wrath meanwhile is whats known as an Incarnate. Incarnates are the physical manifestation of concepts and ideas. So like how we imagine Death as a skeleton in black robes with a scythe would be considered an incarnate in this world. There's only one of Each emotion and as we can guess, Wrath is anger incarnate. She's found herself working with Amaris to help spread chaos and destruction around the world after the shadow demon broke her free of her confinement by the Emotion Manifestation Obtainment organization (E.M.O for short) Wrath is a living weapon essentially and can't die so long as something out there can experience anger. Her limbs can shapeshift into any melee weapon and she gets stronger the more things around her experience her emotion. This can backfire though and she can get overloaded with anger and quite literally explode, having to reform her physical body at a later point.
Lusikka is a petty thief who has a lot of issues. She's an orphan who took to shoplifting for attention and well turned out she got really good at it. She's the leader of a group known as the silverware trio and uses a giant spoon to fight with, as silly as that sounds. She and the other two (Forcella and Kiridashi) started as a team of supervillians in their own world where they had a rogues gallery of food themed heroes who kept trying to foil their plans. This is where Lusi's dislike for tacos comes from. Now its just because she can't handle spice at all. She gets better and ends up with a wife and kids and she loves them so very much.
She still can't stand Avry being obnoxious though. something something shortest temper imaginable.
moving on from that setting,
BLAIR! Blair Daniels-Anderson my beloved! Another one of The Big Three who are ever present. She's my far cry 5 player character and she has like the most stereotypically country song background story imaginable. its fitting for her and her terminal yeehaw brainworms.
Anyways, Blair's first wife divorces her, takes the house and the car and here she is planning to move back home to Calgary to pick up the pieces and then she gets stuck dealing with a religious cult and stuck in hope county Montana where she continues to have a bad time alongside @rainydaze-rhys 's OC Rook. (Rhys if you're reading this hi hewwo hi bestie!)
I Love the wives very much
and of course, we have the scifi setting thats also created with Rainydaze. while theres a spaceship crew of 12 and six of them are mine, you'll find that THE BLORBO of all time resides here.
Meet Colby! I love her, she has many much issues and is named after 3 different cheeses!
yes THIS is the one that has my brain in a chokehold. she is the one who's CONSTANTLY being rotated in the brain like a rotisserie chicken.
Colby grew up on Saturn's moon Titan dreaming of being able to see the universe. She joins the MIRA crewmate system and works on the Skeld ship as the ship's cook. They end up infected with a symbiotic alien parasite that shows up as all kinds of body horror on them. They're inspired by The Thing from the movie... well... The THING.
so like Colby gets their want to explore the universe but it comes at the cost of being permanently infested with an alien parasite that can and will do anything to make sure it and its host survive, which includes eating people. of course the crew has a medical scanner for respawning purposes so they're fine. but there sure do be a LOT of murdering from everyone on this ship.
She also ends up dating the ships medical AI who is an evil scientist and i love her very much also. incredibly normal about both Colby and their GF, Micah, who belongs to Rainydaze-Rhys.
heres more art of the blorbo of all time!!!
Your honour, She is stupidt
#hi hewwo yes this incredibly brief overview of the most relevant ocs took like 2 hours#this isnt even getting into the rest of the characters from these settings#or flight rising dragons#or warrior cats#Kris talks#basically if i dont create some little guys (gender neutral) i will perish#oc posting

Alrighty, here I am with more Darkiplier headcanons (bc I am a shameless Darkiplier apologist) that have been living in my mind, head, and brain rent free 24/7, 365.
Again, if I am wrong about ANY of this, please don't hesitate to correct me. These are just wee little ideas I'm spewing here.
OK, so @markiplier stated in his ADWM breakdown stream how he was the fucking WORST. He was just fucking AWFUL. He was a social manipulator because of that, right? And while I do think that is true, I also have a feeling that part of the reason why he social manipulates you is because it's a defense mechanism (Well, on Damien's part, anyway. Celine does it bc that's just how she is, me thinks. Hence the "don't trust the seer" in WKM.) He's already been fucked over once. He's not allowing that shit to happen to him ever again, if he can help it. If anyone was gonna be fucking people over, it was gonna be him. He's done being a victim. As Damien once said "I'm tired of being a pawn in everybody's game."
Whatever you want Darkiplier to be to you, he will be it (this most likely goes hand-in-hand with his manipulation, to an extent. Hence the "if dinner is what you want, then I can provide..." in ADWM.) Actor!Mark obviously wants him to be the villain, so clearly, he's going to play that part, and play it exceptionally well. But with me, he seems a lot more like an anti-hero. It fits him so well, in my eyes. No, I'll admit, he's not some prince charming in shining armor, but he's not the full antagonist here, either. He's a perfect little mixture of both, to me (again, this could be me just being a complete Darkiplier apologist here. Don't quote me on this, please. )
Here's an extra bonus HC I have for Wilford, Dark, and Eric Derekson.
Wilford and Dark adopt him and raise him as their own. Dark tries his hardest to be the responsible and stern (but not too stern/abusive) parent. Meanwhile Wilford is the "Cool Parent™️." Dark and Wilford are both so protective of him. Actually, scratch that, all of the egos (even Googleplier and Actor!Mark) are protective with this sweet baby boy. The second Derek starts being a douche towards Eric (or really just be in the same room with Eric just to make him feel uncomfortable, or starts looking at him funny), everyone grabs the nearest object to just fucking PUMMEL or SHOOT the fucking dick with.
Dark and Eric spend time together by having coffee/tea and sitting in the library together while listening to soft music. It helps With poor Eric's nerves and anxiety, lets him relax for a while, as well as his medication, which both remind him to do frequently. Wilford spoils the FUCK out of him by taking him on shopping sprees, a movie, or even grabbing him a bite to eat, and such. It is pretty much the only time you see him being truly happy.
If there's anybody that could honestly trust Dark to not manipulate them, it's Eric and Wilford. Wilford because of their history, Eric because he has honestly done nothing wrong. He's precious. He's truly and purely innocent, and it tears Dark's heart to see what he's been through. He can't go through with it.
They're happy, but dear Lord, they are such a dysfunctional hot mess. But make no mistake, as long as he is with them, he's acknowledged, he's appreciated, he's validated, he's cared for, he's loved.
Now remember, I may be wrong about all of these things. I'm not Markiplier. I don't have any anecdotal details for these characters, and if I did, it's bc Mark told me, and I would not tell Jack shit unless Mark told me it was OK to leak this info out.

Oh hello there, Ageswap AU feels, it's been a while. <3
Similar to what Kinta said, I tend to lean towards completely flipping canon on its head in the Noa arc for a couple different reasons:
We already got "Mokuba gets nabbed and Seto has to get him back" at least once before in Duelist Kingdom and I'd like to see, if not an exact flip of that, at least something that isn’t retreading the same plot points. (In my version at least, Duelist Kingdom in the Ageswap AU plays out fairly similar to canon for a number of reasons, not the least of which is I am a sucker for angst and I have a very specific mental image of how the rooftop duel happens with tiny Seto.)
As noted above, Big Brother Mokuba is very much not as vulnerable as canon Mokuba, so Noa nabbing him in this version would be more of a "yeah, you don't have him, he has you" situation. Which is amusing to consider, but not how I personally see it actually going down. (And yeah, Kinta, I'm with you, I don't want to just give the same dialogue to the other person in these AUs.)
The Big 5 straight up being taken out of the picture was not something I had considered but I am now adding that to my mental Ageswap AU Canon Voltron, thank you Ice for that bit of brilliance. Which introduces its own ripple effect of changes - what are the Squad doing for most of this arc? Since the Big 5 aren't there needing bodies to plug their brains into, are they just locked out entirely? Hmm.
As you can probably tell, I haven't mentally noodled around in this arc as much as, say, Doma (Kinta's sketches for that still live rent-free in my brain 24/7/365 and also I just love the sandbox of Doma in general), but I definitely think this arc in the Ageswap AU deviates possibly the most from canon in terms of How Things Happen. So here’s me just rambling out loud for a bit, feel free to use or ignore my take on things as it pleases you.
I like the squad still being there, mostly to give us a few more characters for the bros to bounce off of; I’m just not sure how and why they get there. Maybe the brothers get nabbed first and everyone else goes “well nuts to this” and dives in after them. Or maybe Noa still just yoinks everyone in from the get-go so he has Options and/or more leverage to play with.
I do think Noa still tries to mess with Kiddo Seto's head, but it requires a very different tack and a lot more effort than it took with canon Mokuba. I think Noa would target Kiddo Seto's curiosity and skills with technology instead of trying to cast doubt on the brothers' relationship, at least at the start.
I also see Noa splitting them up as soon as possible, luring Seto to him of his own volition rather than a direct kidnapping and messing with his head and perception while simultaneously trying to break down Mokuba’s guard. He’s digital, he can essentially be in two places at once, it works.
(This is one place the Big 5 would actually come in handy, being a gauntlet of sorts for Mokuba to run in a similar manner to canon, but I like vicious Big Brother Mokuba permanently removing them as a threat after DK/Virtual Arc 1.0 too much to recant on that plot point.)
I would need to sit down and figure out the exact details of their backstory re: overthrowing Gozabozo before I could really decide how things play out, since that’s what drives a large portion of this arc. Canon Seto’s cruelty as a child was the weak point Noa exploited to get into Mokuba’s head, but if things don’t play out the exact same way in this AU (which I definitely don’t think they would) that wouldn’t even be an option.
Noa’s change of heart in this version is a one-two punch of Kiddo Seto confidently going “hello, I’m a genius and tech is my wheelhouse, of course I can build you a body and get your mind out of here” basically unprompted, and Mokuba gently pointing out and acknowledging that Noa was just as hurt and used by their father as him and Seto, and just. Showing an ounce of compassion and empathy towards someone who is still an incredibly lonely child.
Please consider: Kaiba bros tag teaming Gozabozo in that last duel.
Since this is an AU anyway and we might as well do what we want: NOA/VIRTUAL WORLD ARC COMES AFTER BATTLE CITY FINALS, this is the easiest possible change and it makes so much thematic and narrative sense, thank you for coming to my TED talk.
TL;DR The Noa arc is, at its heart, laying some of the worst ghosts of the Kaiba brothers' past to rest, and reaffirming the love and trust they share despite everything. Keep that core and no matter what details you alter, you’ll have a pretty solid foundation to build on.
(Someone still straight up kicks Gozabozo's office door in though, I absolutely refuse to compromise on this point.)
I know this is a really, really, long shot, but if you are ever in a nostalgic mood, do you think you would be up for a Kaiba Brothers Age Swap sketch set during the Noah Virtual Arc? Like we see how things would play in this au where Mokuba thinks Noah is his brother and we see Seto's reaction?
Hey!
So the thing about the Noa arc is that I actually keep getting hit with choice paralysis every time I think about it in Ageswap
(Longshot nothing btw, my avatar is still Ageswap Mokuba and I'm thinking more about redrawing him than just changing it)
So the thing is that Noa went after Mokuba in canon because he considered him the "weak link" (just like Gozaburo making the same mistake)
Big Brother Mokuba is not as easy to mistake for a weak link, and he's also very much in a different position with Seto, which is also important here
But also Big Brother Mokuba would still take one look at Noa and go "my kid now, fuck off Gozaburo I'm adopting him"
Whereas Noa I think would do a lot more work to screw with Seto more directly
I mentioned this as to @iced-blood, who has no small influence on and has done some writing for the AU, btw, and he made the notable comment that in his mind, the Big 5 would not be a resource available to Noa in Ageswap
Because Big Brother Mokuba is a hard ass motherfucker and would be. Thorough.
Anyway one of the points to the way I AU is that I try not to hit the same story beats so closely that I'd just be putting the same dialog into different characters' mouths, so to speak
@ladytemeraire and Ice are kind of who I think of as the Other Kaiba Ageswap people, so if either of you have any thoughts feel free to add them
#replies#kintatsujo#yugioh#Kaiba bros Ageswap AU#hopefully I can remember that tag#all my love for the Kaiba brothers#ladytemeraire talks about fictional characters#LadyTem writes things#long post alert#this got out of hand SORRY ABOUT THAT#but yeah that last tldr is basically my approach to any AU or even any fan work#decide what's at the core of the story and the characters - what is absolutely immutable and central to who they are - and go from there

Hey, I just have a FUCKLOAD of headcanons for Darkiplier (and one for Illinois) that I really just need to get off my chest here. This is because I am a shameless Darkiplier apologist and Illinois just be hitting different. Idk if this will be seen, acknowledged, and/or noticed, if so, that's cool, awesome even, if not, that's fine too. I just need to vent this out somewhere bc these thoughts are making me go
FUCKING FERAL.
If I happen to be wrong about any of these, please feel free to correct me. These are just wee mere ideas that live in my head, mind and brain rent free 24/7, 365.
First things first.
I think that Celine is the thing that makes Darkiplier the "social manipulator" that @markiplier has previously talked about in his ADWM breakdown stream. Because if you watch WKM, you see that she, too, is a social manipulator. She manipulated the DA to trust both her and Damien, only for her to boot them out of their body, and trap them in Markiplier Manor.
Celine is in control of Darkiplier most of the time, and uses Damien to get whoever crosses their path to trust Dark, because Damien is the truthful one. Whenever she's done using Damien and the other person, *finger snap* she snaps into control and ultimately fucks the other person over. Her and Damien get into HUGE arguments over this. All. The. Time. They also fight heavily about Celine manipulating the DA.
Damien cares deeply for the DA, and feels sincere and genuine remorse and guilt for leaving them at Markiplier Manor. Because it's not what he meant to do. That wasn't his intention. Celine doesn't. If anything, she just defends and justifies her actions. "It was to protect you, to keep you safe. To keep you alive. It was a necessary sacrifice. Get over it!"
Celine didn't really care about and/or love Wil, she just used him to get out of the relationship with Mark.
Damien cares deeply for Wil.
Idk y, but I felt that Darkiplier was a lot more truthful in AHWM. I had this vibe throughout the whole Darkiplier route that he wasn't manipulating or trying to fuck with you here. He really wanted and/or wants you to find the truth of whatever the fuck is in that box/jewel. Not whatever bullshit that Actor!Mark is feeding you. It reminds me of the scene in TV's Teen Wolf (idk if you've watched it) where Peter Hale and Stiles Stilinski are in that garage and Peter tells Stiles "Don't you get it? I'm not the bad guy here." That is Darkiplier's character in a nutshell. No, he's not the hero, that's obvious, but he's not the villain, either. He's just playing that role bc Actor!Mark wanted him to. And I'd LOVE to see an interaction like that with us and Dark somewhere along the future.
If you watch WKM and go back to ADWM, you can definitely tell that Darkiplier is a pained, saddened, and broken individual. You see that this person has been/gone through some real shit. He has Vietnam flashbacks of Markiplier Manor and WKM, change my mind.
Switching subjects, this is a headcanon for Illinois.
Illinois has this... Sexy, smooth, suave, swagger, enchantment about him. He fucking reeks of BigDickEnergy. It's like he has this... Special ability/power. A charm. The second he walks into a room, everyone stops and stares at the guy. The moment he opens his mouth and speaks, everyone just stops and listens to the man. It's like he entrances you with his voice and looks, the fucking tease. Like... Say he's with the other egos, right? He doesn't even need to do or say anything, just walk into the room, and every ego, including Darkiplier, just stops, stares, drools profusely, tells him "Hot DAMN you're fine..." And the second that Illinois leaves, everyone, again, including Darkiplier, gathers a moment of clarity and goes "what the fuck just happened?????"
Of course, it's possible I may be wrong about all of these. I'm not Markiplier. I don't have any anecdotal details for these characters. And if I did, it's bc Mark told me and I wouldn't tell Jack shit unless Mark told me it was OK to leak this info out.
