Honestly pre release I was just so spitefully supportive of Veilguard, because the critics speaking out were just so gross and stupid about the anti woke bullshit, but after sitting on it for a while, this is a huge reason I’ve fallen into kind of “meh” territory?

Despite the fact that for Inquisition, you end up making a lot of headcanons to flesh out your MC, the story absolutely never falters in the narrative that YOU are the main characters, the companions are all with you, but largely they look to you for guidance. You can shape them, and their stories, based on how YOU interact with them. How you treat them, how you treat the world, how much compassion you have for things that are different than you. You got shoved into the role of Inquisitor with no power, but you are the focus of the story and ultimately the only person who can save the world.

That just . . .absolutely cannot be said of Rook? They’re a person who has like, vague background of “rebellion for the right cause” in their chosen faction, which is meant to be a mirror to Solas. Except repeatedly Solas’s actions are painted as black and white rather than THIS IS WAR and war is brutal and painful and endless, and the Evanuris are a threat beyond what any person in modern Thedas can comprehend. Rook often feels like a secondary person with no true reason for being in charge? Their placement within the faction they come from makes them sound very young to begin with, with no real reason as to why Varric has put you into place as his second in command.

This could have been made better if they expanded thematically on the line Varric says when he introduced Rook to Neve.

“Yup, one of the strongest pieces on the board, but tends to think in straight lines.”

Expanding on that, on showing Rook just being so immensely stubborn and only seeing what’s directly in front of them, having such a powerful personality being one of the reasons all of your companions listen to you and follow your leadership, and yet another mirror to Solas, who sees his goal as so important nothing else matters, could have made Rook more engaging and entertaining and enthralling. But that never happens.

Rook is there, and it’s the companions who seem to have the majority of the focus. To an extent, I understand, everyone loves new companions and fleshed out companions with complexity are always amazing.

But Rook doesn’t feel like the leader or hero of the story. I stand by my opinion that it should have been the Inquisitor with Varric. It would have made Varric’s death more impactful and meaningful. The Inquisitor, going by ‘Rook’ as they try to track down Solas. Having a connection to his power, literally flowing through their body for so long, could have easily been used for a plot device for why Solas can’t use magic to enter their mind until the blood magic happens. With the ending of having their arm removed, the magic ripped from their body, easily justifies their power being a “starting” character level, and no matter what you choose to do with the Inquisition, you are not in control of it by the end of Trespasser.

There’s just so much that could have been done to make this a much more complex and compelling story that just . . .wasn’t.

What’s really jumping out at me on my second playthrough is that the writers of the first three games understood that your character was the main character. The Veilguard writers clearly thought that the main characters were their characters, the companions.

Every scene is about setting the companions up as cool or competent or sympathetic. Often, this is done at Rook’s expense. The companions get all the witty one-liners; Rook’s attempts at humor not only frequently fall flat, but are frequently called out for falling flat (even when they’re completely automatic and the player has no say in them).

The companions have all the knowledge and skills; Rook just brought them all together and gives them all pep talks so they can focus. I’m trying to edit out all of the comments where Rook is like “Um… what????” from my videos, and let me tell you, it takes WORK. There are A LOT of them. I can count on one hand the number of times when the Inquisitor or Hawke comes across as dumb, but it seems to be a built-in, unavoidable part of Rook’s character. I have not selected a single “purple” option in all of Act 1, and Rook is still coming across as the kid who tries to be the class clown to cover for the fact that he’s always confused. Rook’s role in most scenes is to say “Uhhh… what?” so that the companions look smart.

Rook is always the one offering sympathy and never the one getting it. No one actually comes to comfort you after Varric’s death. No one asks you how you’re feeling about having to lead the team now that Varric is gone. No one tries to reassure you or give you advice for dealing with the trickster god haunting your dreams. We’re told that Neve could keep Solas out of your head, but she never actually offers to do this for you. No one comforts a Shadow Dragon Rook when Minrathous is destroyed or a Grey Warden Rook when Weisshaupt is destroyed. Rook’s problems don’t matter. Only the problems of main characters matter.

Rook is a secondary character in their own story.

When people mention that König is a big guy, some might picture a tall and lean man. But for me, that’s hard to believe. Others imagine him as a wall of pure muscle, with a physique akin to a bodybuilder, simply because it’s "visually appealing." However, this completely ignores the military context he comes from.

His body was literally trained to be resilient and strong—exactly what the army looks for. Ever seen a heavyweight lifter? You don’t need to be an expert to imagine that beneath all that gear hides a massive guy weighing roughly 100 kilos or more, who probably consumes 4,000 to 6,000 calories daily just to keep up.

To be honest, I can only picture his large, thick chest paired with broad, veiny arms, his body easily twice the size of an average man. I think about his slightly bloated belly after a buffet—because let’s be real, the restaurant probably took a loss after König kept calling the poor waiter over every two minutes.

Have you ever tried shopping for clothes for your “pet bear”? Fancy brand shirts struggle to contain him, with the buttons at the top stretched so tight they give you a sneak peek of his skin beneath. Or his massive biceps refusing to let the sleeves even make it past his arms. Meanwhile, you’re standing outside the fitting room, hearing him mutter curses in German.

If you’re brave enough to peek inside, you’ll probably catch him trapped in some poor one-size-fits-all shirt. And don’t even get me started on pants—those things always get stuck halfway up his thick, round thighs. He’ll be visibly annoyed because he really liked the pants, but alas, there’s no bigger size. Poor König. Clothes that fit his upper body end up baggy in other areas because they’re made for overweight frames rather than muscular ones.

You can try to comfort him by saying he looks better without clothes anyway, but all you’ll get in return is one of those “don’t tempt me” stares. Speaking of his struggles with clothing, König faces an even greater punishment with underwear. The elastic bands are often too tight, and while some brands accommodate “above-average” sizes in the front, nobody seems to think about guys with big butts. His underwear ends up too short in the back, leaving the edges of his perfect, round cheeks exposed like a pair of tempting melons barely contained by micro-shorts. He’d be so flustered and grumpy about it.

But having a König all to yourself has its perks! Lying on him is like lying on a breathing mattress—though sometimes the mattress might let out a cabbage-scented death cloud. Okay, that part isn’t great, but having him as your living bed still has its advantages. Especially when he’s lying on his stomach, and you can throw yourself on top of him, feeling the gradual warmth of his soft, comfy body. His behind, in particular, is irresistibly plush. If you’re the playful type, you might even pretend to “hump” him while he’s face-down. It’d be hilarious—until he flips the script and you’re the one getting wrecked.

To clarify, my take on König is neither that of a bodybuilder nor a big guy without strength or purpose. He’s the real strongman—the kind who could knock someone out with a slap, lift an 80-kilo man and snap his spine, or twist necks like he’s prepping a chicken for stew.

In short, he’s got that famous “dad bod,” but scaled up—not just tall, but wide as well, which is wonderful. No matter how big you are, you’ll always feel small next to him. That warm, soft body could break you if he hugged you too tightly, and isn’t that just perfect? <3

Just any random thoughts or half formed ideas you'd be comfortable sharing, I'd eat up with a spoon! Like, do you have any headcanons you're going off of?

The big parts of Lucifer's character in this AU is his abandonment issues, touch-starvation, loneliness. From those, comes a heaping of protectiveness and possessiveness.

For now, Charlie is the focal point of his attention. He's protective of her, and, yes, a touch possessive of her. He doesn't want to share, least of all with Alastor.

But if someone were to, say, garner his interest, while he wouldn't just forget Charlie, some of that attention would turn to his person of interest. He lost his family in Heaven, he lost his wife, for a while he lost his daughter, if he loses one more person, he is going to snap. He can't handle another loss.

He craves care, love and connection. He wants it with every part of his being. Getting a taste of it after who-knows-how-many years is addicting and he has no intention of stopping.

Alastor, on the other hand, is too curious for his own good. He started picking up strange vibes from Lucifer the moment they met. He already didnt have the best opinion of him when they first met, but that dislike turns into unnerved curiosity.

He's also not scared easily. He's too prideful to admit when he is. The closer Lucifer gets, the more determined he is to meet him head-on. And maaaaybe he gets in a littttle over his head. But he's a manipulative little shit, and just like he did with Charlie, he can use Lucifer's insecurities against him.

This is just my opinion on how I imagine Loki!! Fluff with just a hint of smut 🤭

He loves simple physical touch like when you take his face in your hands and be gentle with him, forehead kisses and running your fingers through his hair. He just wants to be taken care of. 🥹

Saw a post here about names of pathologic characters, and decided to share some thoughts regarding our beloathed Bachelor, because I realised something and have to share it with you.

So, what do we know? Well, his name is certainly Daniil and his surname is Dankovsky. “What about his patronymic?” you might ask. Here it’s a bit more complicated, but knowing that he once signed a letter with D.D.D. we can safely assume his patronymic starts with a D, and as a matter of fact, I’m quite sure that it’s actually Daniilovich (i.e. his father’s name was also Daniil), though my arguments in favour of this are rather funny

1)Name:

Daniil, what does this name mean? To begin with, the name comes from Hebrew (“Dānīyyēʾl” in romanised version) and literally means “God is my judge”. What is more interesting, in my opinion, is that this name is partially formed by another Jewish name, “Dan”. “Dan” literally means “judge” and its most known bearer is Dan, son of Jacob (also known as Israel, the angel-wrestling guy), who was (according to the Bible) the founder of the Tribe of Dan. Moreover, the symbol of this tribe is a serpent, because of Dan’s sly, scheming, and calculating character.

Apart from that, Bachelor’s a doctor, and one of the most famous symbols of medicine (at least in Russia) is a Bowl of Hygieia, see a simple example below

This also could be an intended symbolism, which probably started with IPL thinking how they would name their genius-doctor-character, and then spiralling down into all these snake-related topics, eventually choosing Daniil. It might have been just a funny coincidence. Someone can probably text them on Twitter and ask.

2)Surname:

Here it’s a bit tricky, and please do feel free to correct me, because the info I’ll give here might be false. Anyway. When I first started P1, I was a bit puzzled by Bachelor’s surname. You see, even though it is defo a Slavic surname (e.g. -sky ending), it doesn’t make much sense to a Russian speaking person, since what the hell is “Dankov”? A surname in a surname, now ending with “-ov”? Well, here is a potential explanation:

Western Slavs have a form of “Daniel”, namely “Danko”. As far as I understand, it can be a surname (and it is, in various forms, at least in Slovakia and Ukraine). This makes the surname “Dankovsky” mean something like “of the Danko” “son of Danko” “belonging to Danko” etc. All this suggests that, if we translate his surname to Russian in the literal manner, it would change to “Daniilov”. So you see where I’m going, right..?

3)Patronymic:

So. What do we have. “Daniil” as a name, and a surname which apparently (through numerous layers of linguistic irony) is also formed from the name “Daniil”. And we know that his patronymic starts with D. Do I dare suggest that his patronymic follows this silly pattern as well, so it would be “Daniilovich”?

This leaves us with a beautiful name of Daniil Daniilovich Daniilov, which sounds rather humorous and comical to russian-speaking folks (reminds us of the legendary Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov). As a close friend of mine suggested, that could have been a placeholder of sorts during the early development of the game and/or character, when IPL only came up with a name, but not with everything else. Then they decided not to over-invent things, and just obscure the surname via translating and adapting it to Western Slavic languages (Polish and apparently Slovak, I would guess), and basically never mentioning his patronymic. Ingenious if you ask me

4)Takeaways:

Not much, unless you see a sentence where I’m talking out of my ass, please I beg you speak up if messed up the Western Slavic part, I’m not native to those languages, so could’ve missed something there.

More importantly! For me, all these layers behind DDD name form a very concrete foundation for my headcanon that Bachelor is of Polish-Jewish origin. In general, his surname suggests lots of interesting stuff, so explore the linguistic opportunities my fellow patho people

Definitely not a nOTP, it's just that out of popular Smitten ships, I have a very hard time imagining Smittunist (Smitten/Opportunist), and it's entirely because of how I designed and how I write both of them. In fact, I actually really like seeing how other people write and/or draw that ship!! So it's decisively a "me" and "my designs/interpretations" problem 💔

Once again, don't know how unpopular it is, but I think specifically in the Unknown Together ending, where Smitten knows that she left with the Long Quiet, while he would be sad for a while over the fact that the Princess is gone, he will eventually bounce back, accept the fact that she is happily with "the big guy" somewhere, wherever that might be, and then choose to extend his over-the-top loving self to other people (mainly, his fellow voices) <3

...this is specifically for the Unknown Together endings. If we're talking about A New and Unending Dawn... well, we get an entirely different Smitten.

It's more of a mixed HEA + Smitten song, but there is no other song that I associate with Smitten more than this one, so "Predator" by The Crane Wives it is!

I'm kind of obsessed with how these lines fit well as HEA singing about Smitten... but also as Smitten singing to the Long Quiet, or rather, you, the player, for choosing to stay in the cabin and create this "Happily Ever After" ending... only to be dissatisfied with it.

This is a little long, sorry. I've got 3 things.

1. I just read the difference between Jason and AK being married. Very well thought out as always Miss Rae. You would think they are entirely different people. It is crazy how much his mindset set changes and he overcomes his hurt. Especially if you guys were best friends in his Robin days and got to see him so happy, the differences are wild.

What are your thoughts on him and his marriage in the in-between/development from being AK to Red Hood? Would he be extra clingy? Guilty? Ashamed? My poor baby just needs some cuddles no matter what!

2. You asked everyone's favorite song and I wanted to know what yours is! You are a person too 💕

3. I have a request! What are your thoughts on road trips/trips with Jason? AK too if you'd like, but I have a hard time imagining him going on a trip with you.

I thought it fit your music event really well since music is very important (in my opinion at least) to make the trip fun. Humming or singing along, a special playlist, teasing your trip buddy about not knowing the words, trivia, Jason driving with one hand to hold yours and smile at you...

Road Trip Headcanons 

Enjoy! (I answered your questions under the cut and I 100% agree that I only envision any sort of fun road trip happening with Jason and not AK) ~500 words

As you said, music is a must, essential for a long drive. There's not a quiet moment in the car. Sure, Jason could be convinced to listen to an audiobook or podcast, but there's nothing like scream-shouting the lyrics to your favorite songs with all the windows rolled down. Are you a public nuisance at every stop light? Possibly. Are you both laughing and having the time of your life? Definitely 

Matching Sunglasses for every road trip. LISTEN, you take turns buying the most ridiculous pair of sunglasses you can find for your road trip, and you have to wear them into rest stops/at drive-thrus no matter what. People stare sometimes, especially the time Jason brough gigantic, bright pink heart sunglasses for you, but the pictures you get out of it are worth any confused looks you get 

Whether it's you or Jason driving, he's almost constantly touching you. Fingers threaded together on your lap, his hand resting on your thigh, or your hand splayed over his knee while he drives, you're always connected in some sort of way. He really likes holding your hand while he drives and mindlessly tracing his thumb back and forth over your knuckles

When Jason is driving, he drives fast. He's always safe, borderline clinical in his decisions, but he's always pushing past the speed limit without even realizing it (He blames it on learning how to drive via the batmobile, and not on cars that are lacking Wayne Tech nuclear powered engines) 

You always try at least one new thing on your road trips. It could be small, like ordering a new drink from your favorite chain or listening to a new band/genre of music. Or, sometimes, it's something big. You saw a sign for indoor skydiving a few exits from where you are? You're stopping. There's an advertisement for the world's largest collection of colored rocks? You're there. You see a pamphlet for a museum filled with nothing but model dinosaurs at a rest stop? You're going. (There's nothing wrong with killing a few hours on a long drive after all)

Stopping for meals is mandatory! Sure, eating in the car quicker, but getting to stretch your legs, sitting across from each other and talking in whatever diner or dive-bar you decide to take a chance on is so much nicer. Jason always tends to order something warm to eat, but he's happy to split whatever appetizer you want to try 

Speaking of food, there's a cooler in the backseat. It's filled with drinks and all kinds of fruits, vegetables, and sweeter treats. As nice as it is to stock up on candies and chips when you stop for gas, munching on blueberries or grapes or whatever you've packed for the trip is just as good– if not better

You have a little tradition, when you finally get to your destination. Once the windows are rolled up, your goofy sunglasses pushed up to the top of your heads, Jason will lean over the dash and kiss your cheek. Doesn't matter if he's in the driver's seat or if you are, he does it every time. (it's partially for shock value, if he's being honest. He likes to use the moment your face starts to crack into a smile to race out of the car and get to your side, opening your door before you have the chance to)

The Arkham Knight and Jason Todd are different people, I SWEAR!! I know they're similar and have the same name, but their backstories are different and they have different traumas! What happens to them, at the hands of the Joker and others, changes their characters fundamentally. At the end of the day though, the biggest difference between them, for me, really comes down to that Jason 'forgives' Batman for not saving him, The Arkham Knight has not. 

Now, in between being AK and Red Hood, I really think you're Jason's only rock, married or not. Whether you want him around or you don't, whether he stays near you or runs for the hills, you're still his only constant. I think he really latches onto that. What's your favorite thing about Nellis??

their dynamic— nick finding ellis so annoying in the beginning, not caring about him and actually wanting to get away from him, to developing a close bond with him. obviously going into headcanon territory now but i feel like ellis would come to him first in genuine vulnerable times. even tho nick is rough around the edges and a jerk, he’s been through some shit and is actually fairly wise. ellis looks up to him and he makes him feel safe; he also keeps it realistic for him but yet still keeps his hopes up. sometimes when things are real bad they just sit in silence and hold each other.

what i also like about them is that their relationship works in any way, platonic or romantic. obviously i see them as intimate together, but an older brother -younger brother narrative fits their dynamic just as much. in my opinion because of this, their bond being complicated yet strong in any context, makes them an even better duo in gaming/fandom media

He's so determined to do the right thing, but isn't flawless in his judgment; he's so oblivious about why the princess so upset with your choices at times, it's frustrating but also, I love it, because it shows he isn't perfect. He literally just a little guy. Trying his best, but his best isn't always helpful.

least favorite thing about them: WHY DID PRISTINE CUT MAKE HIM BLUE???? Genuinely cannot see that color as Hero, he's too warm colors-coded for me, I'll always choose to ignore and toss away that little detail.

brOTP: Don't really have a specific one for Hero. I like many dynamics with him — Skeptic, Cold, Para, Damsel, Wild– — but don't think I really have a brOTP for him.

Taking a Break

Hi everyone.

As you’ve probably guessed from the title, I am taking a break from the Criminal Case fandom. I’ll be gone for at least 2 weeks, maybe more if needed. While I’m gone, I will not be on any sites, at least not for CC-related reasons, updating any of my stories or posting new content on Tumblr. That means I won’t be checking notifications or even going on some platforms, and I will be leaving all the Discord servers I am in after posting this.

If you need to reach me (please don’t contact me about CC), I will occasionally check my direct messages on Discord.

2024 has so far been the worst year for my mental health, and to summarize how I feel in one sentence: I’m tired, and honestly, I have considered leaving CC more than once. I tried not to let my mental health affect my relationship with CC since it was like the light at the end of the tunnel for me. But with things calming down IRL, I’ve realized how straining CC was on my mental health and a person can only bend so much before they break, and I fear I will break if I do not step away…

I have been in the CC fandom for over 10 years, most of that time spent as a lurker and then as a writer who stayed in a little bubble isolated with my stories and rarely engaging with others. But over time, I came out of my bubble with the help of friends I made through CC and gained even more along the way. However, things have happened recently behind the scenes that are making me consider leaving the fandom, so it's time I take a break and focus on other things for a little while.

This is not goodbye forever. If you know me and my stories, you know my goal is to write every Criminal Case season from 1 to 8 (yes, I will be writing and hopefully improving City of Romance!). I’ve been at it for about 8 years, so I’m too far into things to give up!

But I have another goal, and no, I’m not referring to making headcanons for every CC character. It's to create a safe space for people to share their ideas, thoughts, and opinions without fearing ridicule. There is enough hate in the world, so why should I contribute to it when I can use my platform to be positive instead? It’s why, even when the idea might not be my cup of tea, or I might not understand parts of it, I still encourage people to pursue their ideas and focus on the good things. I hope people know that you can send me the craziest, crack-filled ideas (anonymously or not) and that I will do my best to give positive feedback.

I do give constructive feedback if people ask me to, but again, I’m no Goddess of Writing and Content Creation, so I would never expect people to take my words as gospel. I would never want people to feel they HAVE to change something in their creation just because I suggested it. I want people to be happy with THEIR work, just as I am with mine.

The biggest piece of advice I always give people when they ask for my help or opinion on their project(s) is to write about what makes you happy. While it is important to listen to feedback to learn what you can improve on, ultimately, YOU are the creator. YOU are putting in the time, effort and skills into the project, and if YOU are not happy with what you are creating, then you will lose interest in it. Create things you are happy and proud of. YOU are bringing your ideas to life and sharing them for others to enjoy, not the other way around.

You can never please everyone, but you can always please yourself.

But do NOT use that as an excuse to spam, rage bait, or terrorize others. Everyone is entitled to their likes and dislikes, but you should not force your opinions on others. If you see something you don’t like, just ignore/block it and keep scrolling. It takes much less time than writing a hate comment or making a call-out post. And while sometimes those are reasonably warranted, please still take the time to consider the repercussions of something before you post it and ask yourself: Is it really worth it?

Maybe it's naive or wishful thinking to hope people have learned from 2024 and will think before they post, but I hope at least some people will learn from their mistakes or those of others. I know I have learned from the mistakes I’ve made. I don’t think I’m perfect or anyone special because, at the end of the day, I’m just a writer who discovered a hobby for creating fanfiction when they were a teen and somehow gained a following of amazing fans and made fantastic friends along the way. I’m human and make mistakes, but it's from those mistakes that we grow and improve as people.

That said, I am signing off for now. My mental health is at rock bottom, and all I can focus on recently is negative. I keep thinking the worst of my writing and other content. All my mind has been telling me is that everything I make is terrible, and no one likes it. And while I know that is far from the truth, thanks to the amazing support and love I receive from all of you (shout out to everyone who keeps the CC fandom alive!) I must leave and stop focusing on everything before returning with a clear, more positive mindset.

I will see you all when I return. Will I not do anything CC related? Probably not, since you can take Astra out of CC, but you can't take CC out of Astra! But I will not be touching or even looking at my mainstream series while I’m gone, so don’t expect me to return with an update ready for it.

For the character ask game, what are your thoughts on Chuuya?

…Ima say it now this one’s gonna be long.

Favourite thing: The way Chuuya knows how people perceive him and uses it to his advantage.

In Fifteen he knew that Dazai saw him as a loud brainless teen so he played on that to hide Arahabaki while actively helping to search for him.

And it’s in that same way that he tricks Fyodor.

Least Favourite thing: He does leap before he looks at times. Truly the world’s worst interrogator.

What can I say? It’s Iconic.

Also not a spoken line but when he’s being interrogated in Stormbringer and when it seems like he’s gonna confess. He just calmly hands over a note that just says “eat shit.”

BrOTP:

Chuuya and Kouyou because they are siblings to me. He looks up to her and she threatened to tear Verlaine limb from limb for trying to take him away.

Chuuya and Kenji because I’ve seen the I believe wan panels of them hanging out and it’s adorable and I love them being friends.

Chuuya and Akutugawa because Chuuya referring to him as “our boy” warms my heart. Akutugawa respects him and there little moment at the end of Dead Apple is so sweet.

Chuuya and Rimbaud because he did make an impression on him and despite it all Chuuya still wears his hat.

Chuuya and Adam are everything to me. Their whole relationship and how Adam cares so much for him so openly and how Chuuya’s terrible at showing he cares for him too.

Chuuya and the Flags. He’s like a really pissed off stray cat that they’ve all just adopted. I love his relationship with them all and how much they care about him and accepted him as one of them.

Chuuya and Dazai. Platonic or romantic (tho I prefer platonic) whatever they are, they are fundamentally intertwined and mean a lot to each other (begrundingly) and I love them being the smartest and dumbest people in the room together.

OTP:

Chuuya and Kunikida. Similar personalities and roles in their organisations. I feel they’d both respect each other and they’d find common ground and be very cute.

Also bitch about Dazai and gang up on him but that’s just a small part of all of this.

Chuuya and Atsushi. Similar backgrounds and abilities. Chuuya’s part of the reason Atsushi proposed an alliance to begin with. They both struggle with their humanity and I feel would reaffirm it in each other and be very cute.

NOTP: I don’t really have any.

Random headcanon: Because the Sheep were technically banned from Yokohama (being PM terrority) Chuuya knows multiple routes into the city that they aren’t aware if.

Along with secret passages into the PM building.

Unpopular opinion: Chuuya is a character that exists outside of Dazai. He is an incredibly complex and smart character and more than just the “brawn” of their duo.

honestly the show should have gotten charlie to put her foot down and tell her dad that he can't permanently stay in the hotel because 1. He's literally the king of hell, any potential residents might be scared shitless of his presence and drive them away, 2. Again, he's the king of Hell, he has a job to do, running Hell, that he didn't do correctly cause he's been stuck making rubber duckies. I know he's in a state of depression due to Lilith's absence and it's reasonable that he's not in the right place but it's not an excuse to ignore his duty to fuck around the hotel and make his daughter, who he neglected for a long time, uncomfortable. He's a grown adult, I'm not gonna baby him because of his condition (unlike the majority of the fandom cuz he's their poor sad uwu baby 😒) and neither should Charlie. Forgiveness doesn't happen overnight, if Lucifer wants to do right for Charlie, then he should get off his sorry ass, take responsibility by being an actual king and help Charlie in any way he can while giving her the space she needs.

Hardly agree, I don't think that Lucifer living in the there is neither good for the hotel or his relationship with Charlie

Like you already he said he could scare potentially residents away and I think people there could be uncomfortable with having the literally highest ranked person living there, like image being an ordinary person and the king of England is living in the same hotel as you

Also Lucifer and Charlie barely had contact for 7 years and then suddenly living together again? Like the hotel is huge but it is still a huge change living in the same building as your parents. I have a good relationship with my parents and still live home with them but i image after not living together with them for years and then suddenly moving back together would definitely cause some problems

Was there even a conversation between them where the two talked about how it would be when Lucifer lives there or did he decided it by himself to move there and didn't even ask her? We didn't saw anything in the show, so i could image both happening

How he handled his duties in the 7 years is something i ask myself, I don't image that he took care of them in himself so did he told someone to do it for him? We see in Helluva boss that Satan took practically over as the boss in court but i don't think he took any other Tasks from Lucifer at least nothing we know about. And we know that Satan uses his absent to tell lies, like that he ruled before Lucifer so that kind of backfired

Like the other sins probably rule their specific rings themselves without Lucifer, i can also image that before Liliths disappearances she ruled over pride ring with Lucifer and took care of the sinners there as we see that Lucifer didn't really seem to care about them

I personally believe that the ars goetias and Overlords also have a huge influence in pride. I personally headcanon that Paimon took over many of Lucifer's tasks as in the mythology he was describing as his most loyal servant (off topic but why isn't there more fanart of Paimon x Lucifers this is the real old man yaoi and not RA) and is the only "King" from the goetias we see in hellaverse

That with babying of Lucifer is something i agree especially that in my opinion Charlie forgave him too fast but that probably was because of the fast pacing of the show. But i don't really want to criticized him too much because of his depressions because i am not an expert in it and don't want to say anything wrong. One thing which annoys me is just when people use the excuse that he is too hurt because of Lilith disappearance and there for completely blameless for his bad relationship with Charlie and blame anything on her and ignore the fact that She was Charlie's mother and Charlie is hurt too

But in the end i don't think that it is going to be a problem in the show, simple because the writers won't probably make it one. Like i think they want Lucifer too bad to be part of the main cast and will ignore the theoretically problems which he could bring with him. Why focusing on the female characters of the main cast who didn't had much spotlight in the first season, just let us add a new male one who will steal the spotlight from them anyway especially his daughter, remember Charlie? The actually protagonist of the show!

Like we will have 3 woman in the main cast (Charlie, Vaggie and Nifty) and 6 men (Alastor, Angel dust, Husk, Lucifer Baxter and Sir pentious). It are double so many man than women there. At least i think it was said that Baxter probably will take over Sir pentious place in the hotel and that pentious background how he ended up in hell will be showed. Remember when people said that helluva boss is a male lead show and Hazbin hotel a female lead one?

you know a character we don’t speak about enough? billy from burn. okay, not one of the best movies ever, but unpopular opinion: one of my fave characters. he’s just so SCRUMMY!

• although he may have robbed a place, billy isn't an evil person. in fact, he's extremely well loved by the community. he's the type of man to help old ladies with their groceries, tip well at coffee shops ... at least as well as he can. this is why when it went public that billy had robbed a place, many people were in shambles. "you mean sweet, sweet lil ol' billy? are you sure? oh my goodness, what has that boy gotten himself into?"

• before he started dwindling in some not-so-great activities and found himself owing a bunch of money, billy was an 'aspiring' artist. he'd play his guitar sometimes at the local bars. people would tell him "you could be something one day, y'know," and billy would just scoff and laugh -- but deep down? he'd dreamt of maybe, just maybe getting out of his silly town and being something, but he knew it wasn't possible.

• billy wasn't always the mess he is now. at one point, he had a full on family, hopes and dreams, but he pushed almost everyone away in an attempt to keep them from being dragged into his mess of a life. that is, everyone except you. you'd been the constant shining star in his life, refusing to let him push you any further. you'd clean his wounds after bar fights, tuck him into bed when he'd drank too much, and even take care of him when you were scared he'd OD. he hated putting you in those situations, but he knew he could never get you to leave.

• billy is the type of boyfriend to not let you lift a finger, for the most part. you do so much to keep him safe, to take care of him when he is at his absolute worst, that he won't even let you so much as make your own glass of water. before you can even fully stand up, he's up on his feet, asking what he can do for you. "hungry, darling? need something to drink? a bath? what can I do for you? just tell me and it's yours." while billy was nice to everyone, he would only do anything for you.

• billy is super protective. given his traumatic past of losing people he loves, hurting people he loves, and witnessing awful things, he is constantly on edge. the moment something seems off in a situation, his eyes stay on whatever or whoever seems odd, his arms staying wrapped around you. he's ready to pounce at the slightest movement. on that topic, nobody wants to know what happened last time someone tried to catcall you. lets just say the guy left with a black eye and billy left with an upset partner who kept scolding him for going a little too far.

• he's a huge softie. he'll buy you flowers, burn CDs for you, sing sweet little songs in his sultry voice with a little rasp from smoking. he loves holding you and swaying to music, kissing behind your ear and holding you in bed. he's BIG on physical touch, because he's afraid if he lets go, you'll dissipate in his arms, ceasing to exist as if you were only a dream. while he is a major romantic, it's only for you. god forbid you point it out, or he'll get all grumpy and pouty, a deep crimson blush on his cheeks, grumbling on and on about how annoying it is when you point is out. "oh shut up, I'm your boyfriend, okay? I'm, like, just bein' good to you and stuff, like a boyfriend does."

• while billy is a sweet and gentle lover, in bed it's a different story. of course he'd take care of you after, but during, he'd ram into you with direct eye contact, hand wrapped around your neck. vile insults and strings of curse words would come out of his mouth as he'd continuously abuse your insides. he's a big fan of knife play, too, carving his initials into your soft skin, watching as it bleeds, knowing you'd never be able to get rid of his mark. on top of that, he'd let you mark him too, because while he loved making sure everyone knew you were his, he wanted everyone to know he was yours.

• okay, let's get the obvious out of the way here. billy is a die hard gun owner. he's got a pistol he uses, and sometimes, billy likes to take the bullets out of it, and push the barrel into you, watching as you squirm. sometimes he'll stick it in your mouth, watching as your pretty lips wrap around the metal coo'ing soft words to you. "oh god, you're so pretty like this, baby. yeah, 's a good job, keep sucking, gorgeous..."

• as we all know, billy gets charred. crisped. scorched. cooked. grilled. roasted. seared. burnt. this is what seems to be his ultimate demise, until it's not..... but then it is again, at least we thought. in reality, billy barely escaped. he'd awoken up, pain all over. he tried his best to make his way back home, somehow, by the grace of god making it. when he showed up back home to you, worried as hell, and a little angry at him until you saw the state he was in. your anger instantly turned to worry as you rushed to his aid, gasping as you begged for an explanation. billy, being the stubborn man he is, simply weakly scoffed out, holding up a shaky palm as if to say 'wait.' "no need to get all worked up, darlin', it's just a little burn." to that, all you could do is roll your eyes as you got to work on trying to save your burnt boyfriend.
