A tear trickled from her solemn face as her gaze lowered. She tried not to be as cliché as society would portray. Her fingers quickly wiped it away as it dropped onto her dress. How painful she thought. She mustered up enough courage to move. She smoothed out her dress and rose. Eyes darted towards her. She frantically reached for her bag. Only to topple over his glass of water. There eyes met. Once again, she reaches for her bag and his hand extends. Slightly brushing her supple skin and awakening her nerves. She briefly stops. Waiting. A sigh floats in the air. She scurries past the patrons and exits. She turns to find him pushing through. Searching for her gaze. Slowly, she fades. Disappearing into the hustle and bustle of the New York streets.
