sheesh, talk about a loaded question

definitely opens up a lot of rabbit holes. ill give my opinion, but note im not the most educated on the subject itself so giving a definite answer is outside my scope.

ill put a read below, but for me, i personally think it isnt, but can be easily misinterpreted as is on a surface level.

tldr, ableism is discrimination towards those with disabilities.

the character in question most of the time when it comes to these topics is tougou, who uses a wheelchair in season 1 due to losing function in her legs. there are never any distasteful jokes made about this, and the show constantly shows various handicap friendly services throughout the show. something even more surprising is that these are never the core focus of the scene or pointed out, its always well integrated into the world as if it were normal (important).

just skimming through s1, we have:

wheelchair assistance integration for both cars and stairs

special swim courses for the disabled, not separated from the rest of the class

beach wheelchairs and separate assistants

now while we can assume a lot of these were due to her previous service as washio sumi, i dont think that would really be fair to the production team putting these in, and it really feels like theres a lot more heart than "yeah we put these for the big shock value realization later on". even after regaining function in her legs near the end of the season, tougou's priority was always towards yuuna and her recovery.

onto the next topic, which is the show taking away and then returning these characters functions throughout. whats important to consider here is what is considered tragic, is it the characters living without these certain functions, or is it the act of losing these functions themselves?

"It'll definitely improve. I mean, we haven't done anything wrong." (Fuu, s1ep9) again, no distasteful jokes made about their disabilities, and fuu even plays it off with her sick eyepatch. her worries instead stem from the loss of itsuki's dream, in the form of her no longer being able to sing. thats the key factor here, being punished for doing what is right, losing the ability to do what you could do before, losing the memories of the time you spent with your friends. (thats another thing i see with a lot of these arguments, they always bring up physical disabilities, but ive never seen one actually talk about ones regarding memory, arguably the most precious thing to them). tougou flat out doesnt remember sonoko at all despite being comrades in arms before, and understandably freaks out that the same might happen with her and yuuna.

now, understandably, the ending to s1 seemed super rushed, and them getting their bodily functions back seemed rather sudden. this put a lot of people off, and was really only explained in s2, which many didnt watch.

people should be allowed to grieve if they lose something important to them, and should be allowed to be happy if they get it back. personally, i dont think people realize the weight of their words when they say, "oh i wish karin wouldve stayed deaf, itd be really cool to see the club members learning sign language for it" or "yuuna in a wheelchair was really cute, i wish we saw more of it." yeah its a cool idea i guess, maybe something to see while theyre stil recovering, but forever? in a chase to see more representation, i hope they realize what they are wishing onto others eventually (even if fictional). while many with disabilities are satisfied with their life, they should be able to wish for better if they wanted to, its not like theyd wish their circumstances on anyone else, right? shouldnt the same apply here, to the girls who've actually lived both with and without disabilities?

another thing about betty is that she should definitely be hold accountable. but also, to be fair, she thought “wow simon is my idol and is soooooo cool” and then started dating him. like babe i love you but why would u do that… there was such a horrible power balance because she read his books before and she thought of him as something higher because of that. so of course she subconsciously gave up all of her dreams for him. which sucks but i feel like she needed to learn how to stand her ground.

i am NOT blaming her though. at all.

she just was OBSESSED over simon to the point she wasnt her own person. which sucks, but she needed to learn to let go and move on.

dont get me wrong though.. i love these two so much!

i think definitely with a longer relationship (they were only together for about 5 years or under and didn’t even get married) so they were early-ish in their relationship so they didnt work out any of the kinks. and thats what sucks about them! they didnt have enough time to you know, have a relationship.

i think these two with enough time couldve been something great and its so sad they couldn’t get the life they deserve:( i love them sm

What they do when they overhear this reader, not discreetly saying to their other hero friend, “hey, I thought we were friends”. And the friend thinks they genuinely did something wrong, and then reader continues jokingly, “you didn’t tell me how cute Deadpool/Spider-Man is! Whatever happened to sisterhood?” And their hero friend who has known the two men a lot longer is like “you know what, you two got the same stupid sense of humour. You should date”. And reader is like “you know what, that doesn’t sound like a bad idea *notices the men looking and gives a friendly wave and a smile*”?

Hiiii <33 im so sorry for the delay!! Brain fog/writers block have been hitting me so hard lately so i hope this is even a shred decent/what you had in mind!

But I do really love this bc it is such a fun concept omg!! Theres so many people that could fill the mutual friend/friend of a friend role and i really love that too! (Although Feel free to imagine who you'd like! I left it fairly open to interpretation)

So.. im going to imagine that the guys are at your friends house to clean up a bit- its closer than their homes and all round easier if they need anything. Besides its easier to sneak their way in in full suit and leave dressed as civilians- back to the fairly normal lives of Wade Wilson and Peter Parker with no one but your friend any the wiser.. Well, until today.

Maybe you only dropped in to deliver some cookies you'd baked- the batch coming out larger than you had anticipated. You'd let yourself in, of course you would- you had a key afterall the time spent here.

You just, hadn't expected to enter and see your friend stood laughing with Deadpool and spiderman themselves!

It been a while since you'd seen them, and even then, it was only brief. they had helped you when some random guys had tried bother a group of girls on a night out.

You stop in your tracks at the sight of them, still suited and covered in dirt and what you hope isnt blood (it is- at least on wades side)

Theres quiet smiles and introduction until you tug your friend to the doorway- glaring because again- they know Deadpool and spiderman?? And they didn't tell you- even after your previous run in??

Across the kitchen Wade takes no time in grasping the Tupperware from the counter and plucking a cookie. One hand shoving his mask just above his lips as the other rises for him to take a bite. He groans before calling out a deeply exaggerated "oh my god" at the taste.

Pete on the other hand stands frozen- a gloved hand scratching at the back of his neck. (i feel he would be the most likely out of the two to get a little bashful??. Im a sucker for bashful/dorky pete im so sorry)

In the end he's tugging a still chewing wade to the bathroom as he protests "alright alright- keep your spidey pants on" while pete is muttering and tugging parts of his suit, telling wade they need to change- need to go.

When they return, this time clad in civilian clothing and no longer dirty- at least.. Physically in wade case (he doesnt know why but working with pete always give him the heavy twitch of a boner)

Theres still whisper yelling as they grow closer to the kitchen and they hit the doorway just as you blurt it out.

And it, being an exasperated sigh of "Whatever happened to sisterhood!? Your harbouring not one but two cute guys who just happen to be the world saving type and you never thought to mention?!"

Your friend clears their throat, peering around you, and thats when you know. That if you were to crane your neck around the pair would be stood there.

Moments of silence follow then, theres drop of your head in defeat, a sigh, a flush of cheeks and a pivot on your heels.

You face them with a bright grin and polite wave. Like they hadn't just overheard you.

On wades side, i feel Wade would immediately crack up. Its cute- you're cute; he's found himself thinking. The way you beamed at him earlier had made the white eyes of his mask become wider and now he can see you fully he understands why.

Once he has some composure hes grinning at you; with all the confidence of the version of himself he often wishes he still presented as. He moves to lean on the doorframe in a smooth movement; to really hit ya with the suave and cool man act.. Maybe even a wink, but Wade's luck being Wade's, he misses, almost falling as he scrambles to regain his footing.

Both you and your friend snort at wades antics before you step forward and present your hand ready for him to shake. "So.. You wanna go get a drink sometime red?" You grin at him.

"Do i? Oh honeybuns you can bet your pretty ass i do!" wade all but beams back.

Meanwhile on Peter's side? Oh sweet sweet pete... A flush would cover his cheeks, one that has him cursing the lack of webbed print mask covering his skin. The flush heating his ears and running down his neck. The implication that you? The pretty, friend of a friend thinks *him* cute? He'll happily take it by all mean but it certainly has him a little giddy!

Peter, with much more grace than what wade would've, steps forward with a bashful smile on his lips. A blush coating his cheeks.

"Y-you taste good-" he blurts, before his eyes widen comically, realising his mistake. "I-i mean! Your cookies! The cookies t-taste good!" he tries to correct himself, to rectify his slip of the tongue but.. It doesnt go his way exactly.

He knows shouldve shut up after that..but, pete being bashful pete keeps going, digging the hole further as your eyebrows raise with a melodic giggle. "I- i mean.. N-not to say you dont, you know.. Taste.. Good?" (By now wade would absolutely be crying tears of laughter, doubled over)

Peters just greatful you seem to know what he means as you place your hand in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "How about.. You come over and i bake for you again sometime?" you say sweetly, before peters blush spreads hotly from his ears down his neck, as you follow his nod with "maybe then you can tell me again how i taste?"

I know youve probably had a lot of asks about everything thats happened so ill try to keep this as brief as possible out of respect

My name is Erin. I only knew daisy/charlie for about a month (i think? time is hard) before everything happened. but they were always incredibly kind and supportive and just a wonderful person and friend.

for context Im a bit of an ametuer game developer. ive been working on this one game for a little while now, and in memory of their passing I decided to add a little easter egg where if youre really, really lucky you have the chance of running into a person named Charlie, and become friends with them, and if you do they are the nicest person possible (and can never get sick, unlike every other character in the game), just as my own way of getting back at the universe. Because. idk. its not much but it felt right to try and immortalize them in the only way i know how

but still, you knew them far better than I ever had the chance to, so it only felt right for me to ask you for permission, or at the very least let you know what i was doing, before i did anything like that. if you dont want me to do something like that, i would completely understand and respect that.

(and just. god im so sorry. i know you dont know me and i dont really know you but just. christ)

Hang on. Fuck. New suitehearts au and new backstories for it. Okay so technically killjoys like they choose to fight but also like. Total Freaks and nobody in the zones trusts them. Most people dont even know theyre real, the Suitehearts are just a ghost story. But they're real, haunting an abandoned amusement park in the real fringes of the zones, someplace nobody in their right minds would live. You could spend a night there, maybe, and survive, but living there? Its way too irradiated. But it doesn't seem to bother the suitehearts.

They're all.. off. Physically and mentally. They should be dead from radiation, instead they thrive in it. And they're just sane enough to pass as people but really they’re all more than a little Fucked Up, in their heads, in their very cells. They’re more like wild animals. They’re unwell in some way but formidable all the same. The killjoys that do know them are glad they're on their side and not Better Living's.

Benzedrine grew up in death valley, the scorching, radioactive wastelands beyond the zones. His parents were a couple rich fucks that waited out the helium wars in a bunker in the hills by Vegas, he was just a kid. It was.. a mess. The peace between his parents who always had a strained relationship didn't last long. The longer they were stuck in the bunker the more the three of them went mad. His parents refused to tell him what was happening, having shut themselves in the bunker at the first sign of war. He just knows hes stuck in this place and the ground shakes and he wants to see the sun again, he doesnt understand why this is happening. Eventually the television isnt getting any channels and the radios all static and his parents dont know whats happening either. They all get crazier. His parents argue, becoming more violent towards eachother every day. He stays shut in his room, reading the few books he has until he can practically recite them from memory. One day something changes. He hears a gunshot. Then another. He finds his parents dead in their bedroom.

He wants to leave but he grounds still shaking. He knows it isn't safe. He keeps his parent's rooms door shut and pretends that nothing is wrong. They were running out of food but now that its just him it lasts three times as long. Eventually he convinces himelf hes always been alone here, theres not rotting corpses just down the hall. Eventually, months go by without the ground shaking, and he's getting low on rations. He ventures outside. Up into the nuclear sunlight. He knows he has to find somewhere else to go. Hes young, he has no clue what to do, he has no vehicle or anything, but his instincts guide him towards the city on the horizon. That city is familiar, despite the fact that it should be unrecognizable in the ruins it is, he knows its Vegas. He starts walking. After a few days he starts to get sick. It's the radiation. He has no idea he emerged from that bunker straight into an irradiated wasteland. He finds a town, scours it for water. He's getting sicker by the day, something is very wrong with him. He doesn't feel like a kid, he feels like a fucking soldier, pushing through the pain and delirium, still walking as his skin blisters and hair falls out and guts twist, rotting from the inside out. He feels like he should be dead but somehow he stays just well enough to keep going. Eventually he enters a kind of in between state, where he isn’t quite getting worse, but he’s still rotting. He isn't dying but he isn't getting better either.

After a couple weeks he finds the others. Or, well, the others find him. He passes out, from the radiation or sunstroke, could be anything. He probably would've been fine, woken back up after a few hours, maybe a few days, with his throat dry and screaming as the sun sets and the desert cools. But instead he was found, waking up in a van with bandages covering his blistered skin.

Its other kids, that don't feel like kids anymore. He learns about radiation sickness, thats he's lucky to be pulling through it. Sandman, he learns, has a similar story to him, minus the bunker and parents killing eachother. He's from Texas, saw the pig bomb that started the wars fall with his own eyes. The light, the mushroom cloud. The wars started, his dad fought and didnt come home, he drifted through orphages and survivor groups until he decided to run away, hearing about safety to the west. He stole a motorcycle from someone in the group and left. Hes been wandering the wastes for longer than any of them and apparently went through the same sickness from radiation, but not as bad as Benze, or Donnie did, for that matter, since sandman was somewhere where he had medical help when it came. He's.. strange, right off the bat. Quiet and withdrawn one minute loud and boisterous the next. He laughs too much at things that are entirely not funny and he has a dark sense of humor. At night his eyes shine like crazy and his teeth are a bit Too sharp. Apparently he met Crab after a little while. The stolen bike ran out of gas in the middle of the wasteland and he had to walk. Crab came with an old van and picked him out of the sands and they became fast friends. Crabs the oldest of the group behind Donnie, hes the one that acts the oldest, the most responsible. Apparently he just drifted around, driving where his gut took him, scavenging. Sandman told him about the rumors of the far west and they headed out. They found Donnie after a few weeks together, when they stopped at Vegas, daring to venture into the ruins for supplies. They found Donnie, and after a very tense standoff told him about the rumors too and that they had room in their van. Donnie basically went fuck it and decided to join them, but didn't really get along with them until, a couple days later, when they found Benze, picking him out of the static. Benzedrine's a mystery to the rest of them, who all went through the wost of the sickness ages ago, and here he is like the bombs just fell again. He's got it real bad, too. Sandman had it easy, but he’s seen others die of it, rotting from the inside out. Benzedrine doesn't look that bad, but he looks like he should be a lot worse off than he is when he wakes up and demands to know where he is and who they are.

They quickly learn he's a wild animal. They're all broken in some way- Sandman, his shit always dialed to eleven, eyes glowing, harboring a billion secrets he only tells in riddles. Crab, always on edge, paranoid, in the surface he’s the most level headed of the bunch but he’s far from fine. He walks off when they stop to rest at night to be alone and do god knows what, and he goes long periods of time without speaking. Donnies quiet, secretive, grumpy, his eyes glaze over at particularly loud sounds, breath speeding up like hes having a flashback. Other than that, his face always flat, expressionless as he stares into the distance. Something about him feels dangerous.

And Benzedrine, fucked as well. He spent so long convincing himself he was fine and then longer running on autopilot, that when he wakes up, once the panic fades he's all unnerving smiles. He seems way too normal for someone that should be dead. He's always optomistic, except for when hes annoyed or angry. He has moods that last for days sometimes and when hes in one, hes someone else entirely. Snarling like a rabid dog at the littlest things. The sickly little guy gets fucking terrifying.

But he heads west with them and they keep him around and surprisingly, he gets close with Donnie after a few late night talks when their minds are clearest. They have a really weird thing, they dont seem like they’d work but they do, they can basically read eachother's minds. The quiet grumpy one with the far too bright one, and theyre both secretly the opposite. Once Donnie lets Benze in he starts letting the others in and they really start to become a Crew.

They make it to the zones, become killjoys and claim a base where they know they'll be safe, in the borderlands, where neither killjoys nor bli would venture. Because most all the killjoys here, they've got a certain amount of resistance to the radiation, but they'll never walk right into it. But the Suitehearts? They're survivors, they faced the radiation and survived it and now it lives in them and they can live in it. They become urban legends but they're just a crew like anyone else, safe in their freaky amusement park base, all of them Wrong in some way. Crazy bright eyeshine or Sandman's too-sharp teeth or the way the sun and weather and sickness seems to have no effect on Benzedrine. The way Donnie can hear the smallest thing from across a valley or the way Crab could navigate with his eyes closed. All of them changed, and all of their minds fucked, cracked. Wild, unnatural laughter that will give you chills. The way they're all a little too good at killing. The first time Benzedrine did he stared between the gun in his hands and the drac on the ground and smiled, this new thrill something he quickly became obsessed with, blood something he all but hungered for. Think ybc. Literal bloodlust, maybe. An alter ego, where all he can see is red(or, well, I guess it’d be yellow lol). Anyway, the four of them, each a little inhuman in their own ways, strange and deadly.

I'm obsessed with them, radioactive wasteland survivor freaks. They're not quite monsters but they're definitely inhuman in some way. They came back wrong except they didnt come back they were just changed as they survived. Radiation mutations and pstd and mental illnesses and concerning obsessions with blood.

Hi!! I’m a Therian who is questioning fairykin. Do you have any signs I may be one? I feel really connected to them and nature. (I always just assumed it was bc of my theriantropy). I’m apart of the so called “fairy-tok” and the more I’ve gotten into it the more really felt connected to fairies. Walking on my toes to feel as if I’m frying, having dreams where I can fly, feeling right when I’m wearing wings, pretending to do magic as it feels like I should be able to. It all feels right but I’m not sure? What things would you recommend me to look for to know I’m a fairy kin?

well for starters, anyone who knows me or who has been in my discord will know that I am very against "deciding" someone else's kintype for them or the idea that you have to have exact specific experiences to identify as anything. So the only person who can find this out for you is yourself BUT! I will share some thoughts that could help you and others with similar feelings.

For starters, what experiences would equate one person to be a kin of something could be entirely opposite to another's experiences of the exact same kintype. even more so with fairies with how broad of a concept we are. The 'little humanoid figure with wings' concept of a fairy for example (of which i am one also) is very unique to folkore of only the last couple hundred years or so and modern media (tho i believe modern media counts as just modern folklore. pixie hollow fairies are as valid as the sidhe.) But it means one persons "fairy wings and flying" fairy would be another's "troll tail and three fingers on each hand" fairy. Just something to keep in mind in regards to "signs" and why its very much up to your own personal interpretations and feelings.

However that isnt to say that comparing experiences can't be useful and it can certainly be joyous. I've def had some people open up to the idea of possibly being fairykin without ever them considering it before bc they described some experience i was like 'oh thats similar to how i feel as a fairy' and they go 'REALLY!?' bc many folks just don't know that much abt fairies or some other reason. But again its more about finding connection less than finding 'signs'.

Secondly it never hurts to just dive into some research. Learn about all the different kinds of fair folk throughout history and cultures. Different fairy media as well if you're more modern inclined (Brian Froud is a big influence on me). Fairies are very very broad and it may help to try find different ideas and concepts you're drawn to and help you specify ur feelings, tho def not necessary.

And thirdly, my advice to anyone questioning a kin (even tho i need to start taking this advice myself XD). Just try it! Just call yourself that even if you arent 100% sure yet, plop the label on urself for a while and if it it sticks? great! if it doesnt? oh well! now you know! It's really the easiest approach. Because theres literally no harm in being wrong here. it can feel a bit embarrassing or weird after but its hurts noone, truly.

hope this ramble made any sense at all lol. again i have strong feelings about trying to confirm kins using other people or looking for specific "signs" because theres really no sign other than "i feel this". At the most it gets tricky when knowing you feel a way towards a 'type but not the exact relationship (ie where i am with homo-cladotherian rn, not sure if its kin or hearted or a more complex relationship) and that one is a pickle but again just rly smth only u can figure out with lots of time and introspection. It's not a race.

I can't remember who said this, but I once heard "Your kintype is an identity, not a diagnosis." and it very strongly aligns with how i feel about approaching this kinda thing.

ive been thinking on this. and thinking on it some more. honestly im no longer 100% sure how i would have liked it to end... its very complicated because i would have changed so much about the story it just would have been so different you know... ive got a big post about my rewrite outline sitting in my drafts that ill clean up someday but here are some big ones off the top of my head

solo protagonist frostpaw. it could have been the riverclan thriller detective political drama of my dreams

that being said i would maybe like to add sparkpelt in as a pov just for a book or two. if frostpaw HAS to leave then it should be sparkpelt with her. very underutilized character and i think she and frostpaw would not get along at all in the beginning but in the end theyd be very close

hold on scrap that i forgot i actually dont care about thunderclan and would use shadowsight for this instead. sorry sparkpelt i like you and all but youre not cut out for this one

keep curlfeather alive for another book so we can get to know her better. a lot of the emotional points throughout the arc dont hit as hard as they should because we just dont see enough of these people for them to count. getting to see curlfeather gain the respect of her clanmates and rise to power as naturally airquotes as she could have and THEN die brutally would have been better. because theres just no way any riverclan cat would kill her right of course it was an accident it had to be

and i would have made frostpaw a warrior apprentice first. frankly this is always what i assumed was implied in the first book but apparently it isnt so. thats always been something that bothered me and i think it adds a lot more to the splashfrost dynamic for them to drift apart after she switches over

i think kenzaki is a good example of a narrative that only shows you whats on screen and something about the way he is makes it very clear that hes on camera and theres a facet to him that would only be shown outside of it. however he exists in a show and doesnt exist when hes off camera so in the end all we see of him is like. its staged. literally but also in the way his character works? he doesnt talk or show how he feels but when it's "revealed" you look back and see that all the warning signs were there but were just overtaken by the narrative being built aroudn him -

like i said before i think kenzaki felt happy about being cared about because thats a concept thats alien to him and hes been taught that its a good thing that he should cherish. however thats not a feeling thats internalized and i dont think he Actually feels cared about or understands what that care means or how hes supposed to reciprocate it

HOT MINECRAFT XP REWORK/OVERHAUL

Okay so, ive been kinda brainstorming about Minecraft and I have to get these off my chest. I want to improve the current systems, but I dont want to change them too radically, but I do want them to be better, because some of the minecraft Systems are god awful. So heres some thoughts down below

MENDING, DURABILITY & UNBREAKING

Okay so answer me this, whos actually made a swamp villager for mending books? Name a person that has actually gotten a full set of mending armor & tools that isnt a youtuber or a NEET. Im sure its gonna be an extreme few of anyone. The main issue is durability. You invest so much XP, and time to make that Netherite, and if it breaks, its a SLOG to get it back. But if you have mending, you have to make annoying returns to the mob farm and grind out XP to repair all your tools, which is boring. So, my solution? Remove mending! (WOAH WOAH STAY WITH ME HERE!!!!)

So, in this hypothetical, ive removed mending & now everythings on fire. What am I doing to replace mending? Well, Unbreaking. Im putting out the idea of making an Unbreakable enchantment. You can already upgrade enchantments of the same strength and get a stronger one. So, all you would need is 2 tools with Unbreaking 3, and then... Bam! Unbreakable. So essentially, you'd have to spend double resources in order to make an Unbreakable tool.

35 diamonds makes a full set of Tools and Armor, and thats not too uncommon for people to reach. But to make double of that? 70 diamonds is a full stack, but then enchanting them all and combining them together to make them unbreakable i feel is a worthwhile investment for tools and armor that no longer break. Combine that with 9 netherite for the 5 tools and 4 pieces of armor is something that also takes a fair amount of diamonds and time to create, and a whole investment in itself, and there you go, all kitted out and you dont have to worry about making or grinding out a new set all over again. You invest in your tools, they should be worth that investment and make your life easier.

Though, Enchanting itself is kind of a pain too... So thats the next topic.

XP & ENCHANTING

The XP system is highly outdated, and the Enchantment table is something you find yourself at very often. Its a lot of gambling, grindstoning and the reason why so many mob farms primarily exist for. Well, im going to give some tweaks to shake things up and make it better.

First of, Levels are going to be MUCH easier to get, as im making them a static amount. 30 Xp per level. Thats equal to 6 mobs slain per level. Overall, to get to pre-rework level 30, is 1,395 XP with 279 mobs slain. With my system, it would be 900. Thats 500 XP less, and with only 180 mobs slain. A hundred mobs less to kill for the coveted Level 30.

Now since we can get our levels, what about the enchantment table? Unfortunately, this is where I'm about to do the biggest of reworking, but Im still keeping a couple core features. So, heres my new enchantment table. First off, when you put in your tool and lapis, you will get 3 enchantment choices. However, the first option always tells you what you will get, and with more books around the enchantment table, it tells you what you will get for options 2 and 3. Secondly, theres now a Reroll option, costing 3 lapis. Clicking that button will change the enchantment options.

Now, when you decide to enchant, you'll find that basic enchantments that can be upgraded always cost 1 level and 1 lapis. And more special enchantments that cant be upgraded like Fortune or Silk Touch cost 3 of each outright. When you enchant your equipment, you can STILL enchant it. To spend more and more levels and Lapis on your equipment. Yes this will take more time, but the idea here is for consistancy and control. Noone likes spending 18 levels for a helmet for Aqua Affinity 3, Unbreaking 3 and Protection 3 and just not getting it. Here, you'll just spend a bit more lapis from the mountains of Lapis you most definitely have to find the options, tap it, and when you remove blast and fire protection for normal protection, you can just continue investing what you what into your helmet.

With this, theres no need to grind intensely for level 30 and try and stay above it. Wether youre level 100 or level 3, you both can find the Unbreaking 3 enchantment and simply get it with 3 levels and some lapis spent. While yes, these tools might cost a little more in the end, but with Levels being easier to obtain and the overall control the player has over what they get should make up for the investment they put in. With my Unbreakable enchantment, you'll have to invest 3 more levels into another tools, along with materials and merge them together at an Anvil which will also cost Xp. Actually, that brings me to my next topic:

THE ANVIL.

The bane of any enchanter or person who wants to repair or merge their tools. Well, im going to give it a light modification. When it comes to repairing, It will always cost 1 level per material spent to repair your tool.

As for Merging enchantments together, any enchaments that get merged will cost 1 less then the level of the enchantment. So, If you have 2 Effieciency 3 Pickaxes and combine them together, it will cost 2 to merge them together. For Unbreakable, it'll be an extra 2 levels (combining 2 level 3 enchantments, thus 2 levels), totaling 8 Levels and 6 diamonds for permanent tools. No going to a rare structure for a rare material, or finding multiple of rare needles in a haystack. Just craft 2 of something you want, spend 6 levels and some lapis, go to an Anvil, spend 2 more levels and there we are. Unbreakable. If you are merging 2 tools together with say, Unbreaking 2 and 3, It will simply cost 1 level, and if theyre both damaged, combining them together costs 1 level. For each unique enchantment not on the other, thats an additoonal 1 level.

Now, to get unbreakable 8 more times is certaintly *more* of a task, but remember, for each piece done, its there for good. A bit of a slow burn as you invest more into your equipment, it in turns, becomes more and more worthwhile. More rare options like Maces and Tridents can be made unbreakable for the grind of 2 of them. Not to mention, since ANYONE can make these unbreakable, no fighting over templates or mending books. Just good ol work for what you want, and the payoff will be worth it.

ENCHANTMENT BOOKS

This is the last and easiest section so far. Enchantment books? Keep them as is. However, when used at an Anvil, they cost 1 less of the level of enchant, and for stff that cant be upgraded, they just cost 1 level. With Level 1 books simply being free to put on. Enchantment books are able to be more controllable enchants, but since my new enchantment table already does that, they can be cheaper skips to higher tiers. 3 Levels for Fortune? How about an Anvil, Fortune book and one level. Save that spare lapis too.

As for enchanting books? Id say for fun, let them always cost 1 level, and they are always random, like the old enchantment table.

MISC STUFF

Now, a main concern might be, Well, Mob Farms are now even MORE Op! And to that I say, yeah. To be honest, mob farms are a players fix to a problem. Iron Golem farms were an issue because of how little iron people can get. But with Fortune now working with Iron, higher amounts of iron in the world overall, Iron Golem farms arent as required as they used to be. Instead of making things harder for balancing on mechanics, instead, find out WHY people are doing these things. People make Mob farms for renewable loot, and XP. Golds a problem? Well, Fortune now works on Gold and Gold can spawn in the nether, making it much more plentiful. XP an issue? Well... Lets just make XP consistant, remove the need for level 30, and enchanting to be consistant as well.

Enchantment Tables are RNG hell, and youre only told 1 enchantment, and not the level. Im still keeping some RNG elements with only being able to pick 3 enchantments at a time, and needing Lapis to reroll it. The reaso why I made Lapis reroll is because players just go to a book or a worthless tool and spend a lapis and level to change the enchantment for their better tool. So, for quality of life, just make em spend 3 lapis to reroll what you can get. Id also make enchantments based on world seed too, and enchanting a different tool will not effect the other tool's enchantments. Again, consistancy and making sure things go as intended.

However, Since Unbreakable exists, Id like to throw put a couple more "Upgradable" Tier 3 enchantments.

Fortuitious (Fortune "4") - Ores are now GARUNTEED to give 2 at the minimum.

Severing (Sharpness "4") - Pierces armor to deal an extra heart of damage

Penetrating (Piercing "4") - Crossbow Arrows can now pierce infinitey

Mass Shot (Multishot "2") - Crossbows shoot 2 more arrows.

Now, another question is, When updating a world, what happens to Mending? Id say just turn mending into Unbreakable. Thats what Mending essentially is, but lets just go through with making Mending better overall.

Im going to channel my inner greycoin tonight and Officially Publicly Propose the theory that starstruck was/is one of the heros of yore.

"Oc is/was one of the heros of yore" is something thats present in my own work, so I could totally just be seeing things that arnt actually there here, but I digress. Wawa on the brain. Its also something Ive thought for quite a while, so its going to be a little tricky to get me to change my mind here unless theres damning evidence!

Anyways this got way longer than I thought it would, so: readmore to shield you from my nonsense!

My Main Basis for this theory would have to be starstrucks strong connection to Galacta Knight. Just like. Countless artworks of them together... What is happening there!! Hello!!!?

"give up what you love, before it does you in." in the caption for that first artwork makes me think maybe Galacta Knight did something to turn starstruck into what she is now.

Look at Mr Galacta Knight there, stabbing the poor Innocent Wawa?! What could he possibly want from her!! Why is he beefing with the innocent wiwi!!? What could he want from her, when she knows nothing about him?

I think starstrucks suspicious ability to use heartspears (even though she is totally only a perfectly normal waddle dee!!) is... something that should be taken into consideration!! Galacta Knight is the only other character to have been shown with the ability to use heartspears, so why does a perfectly normal waddle dee somehow also miraculously know how to use such magic?

Also just tossing this ask here, as additional evidence... I think Galacta Knight could also be considered a soldier, is that not what the heros were?? Brave soliders who could protect those who needed their help?

And starstruck isnt like other waddle dees, as we know. Shes smaller than average and uniquely colored, but we do know that there are others like her. Could those others be Galacta Knight and Meta Knight? If not More?

We know that Galacta Knight is not a good person, so I think it wouldnt be too far-fetched to think that the people closest to him wernt the best people either.. Which leads me into starstruck worrying about peoples unfavorable pasts. What if she too was bad- Just like Galacta Knight?

I would also like to cover Morpho Knights relationship with starstruck, seeing as they have apparently met starstruck before? Or, at least engaged with her in some way that left a lasting impression. Morpho is said to "[care] little- if at all- for the comings and goings of others," yet in this post, Morpho Knight essentially says that it recognizes her, and furthermore that it would miss her. Morpho also notes that she is "almost unrecognizable"; Which makes me believe starstruck must have passed through the underworld -or someplace similar- and somehow came back. Something Im sure most waddle dees couldnt normally do!

Morpho talks in a really odd way that my smooth brain has a hard time picking apart, but like. CLEARLY there is something here!! I can at the least say that Morpho Knight has some sort of history with starstruck

Those who have a keen eye may have noticed a reoccurring couple of colors in art that starstruck is in!! these colors are most easily notable on her reference sheet!

Yellow, pink, blue and green, namely from the star allies sparkler!! I would like to think these are respective of starflungs four heros of yore, with Galacta Knight being pink.

Though starstruck is as pink as Galacta Knight, there is apparently only enough room for one hot pink bitch in this town! Leaving starstruck with yellow. And the color is like.. There. On her bow. XD

I could honestly go on and on and on about the little things, microscopic references and one-liners in posts I just dont have the energy to compile; And theres plenty more questions I dont have answers to. Why is starstruck so often drawn with black hole theming? How did she loose her memory, become what she is now, and why a waddle dee?

But anyways,

I have one final statement for tonight, as far fetched as it may seem: Might you consider that this isn't Galacta Knight? Whos to say it isnt- wasnt starstruck?

can we go back to spamming my stupid pun post with notes instead of this garbage? seriously why did someone feel the need to write an entire fucking essay in their reblog

what i was partially trying to say and what maybe didnt get across was how weird it is to me that people sexualize/romanticize random body parts of celebrities

because like its one thing if youre attracted to someone youve seen in person and/or actually met, anything from a coworker to your significant other(s), but like parasocial relationships are just weird

especially in the case of something like women lusting over gay men or men lusting over lesbians because like its kinda disrespectful to the celebrity in question if that happens to be the case idk if it is here but its weird

and like its kinda one thing if a particular photo/gif is meant to be sexual/suggestive in nature but like making something like an interview where the celebrity is just talking about whatever into something "sexy" gets me weirded out

maybe its because im the kind of being that doesnt want to be perceived as sexual in any way and it baffles me sometimes that others genuinely want to be seen that way, not that theres anything wrong with that (as long as its not like kink/fetish stuff in public/in front of non-consenting individuals) theres nothing wrong with showing a little skin especially in hot weather for safety reasons

then again you will catch me wearing shorts in winter but thats because i overheat so easily and i dont like having long pants on especially when they get wet at the bottom from melted snow i would rather wear longer shorts and more layers up top idk

that reminds me i want to get another similar pair of shorts to one i already have + a pair of boots that isnt hard to walk in or so worn out i cant wear them anymore but thats not rant commentary thats just me rambling at this point idek what im doing or saying maybe i should shut up
