Reader went on a quest years ago when her and Clarisse were still young and they went missing/were pronounced dead. But in reality they got stuck in the Lotus Casino so when Chiron sent some campers to retrieve campers that he already knew were stuck there they found the supposedly “dead” reader playing in the arcade.

Reader goes back to camp and finds Clarisse after all these years and returns like some weapon or smth that Clarisse gave them so they could defend themselves. (Reader obviously aged somehow so theres no weird age gap or smth)

“It’s Vegas”

“No it’s the best place in America. AND! And they have legal gambling” you laughed walking along side clarisse down the streets of Las Vegas.

Being placed on a mission together you both had an older saytr leading. Your main assignment was to locate a demigod that was near by and to help return them to camp safely.

Brushing your hands against clarisses you blushed some, it was just a dumb crush. You were 13 and so was she anything that could between you both was just pointless. Contrasting your thoughts however clarisse slowly reached over taking your hand.

The saytr guide gave you both a teasing face causing clarisse to pull her hand away embarrassed. As the guide chuckled turning back to lead the way you patted your cheeks trying to make the burning feeling go away.

After about an hour you all decided on getting lunch. While just waiting outside with clarisse she tapped your shoulder making you look at her.

“Here.. I saw your dagger got broken in our last fight so have mine” she tried hard to play it off but you could tell she was really just trying to show a form of love.

“Thanks” you happily smiled taking the blade back. Looking down at the blade you could see in the reflection clarisse looking Away embarrassed. Cute

It was weird.

One minute you were running away from a hippalectryon, next you were laying on the ground with a glowing wolf over you? Then you woke up in a casino like hotel.

The following week felt unreal, gambling every once in a while. Finding other demigods and running around with them, meeting some kids who said the Roman gods were real? Weird. Even becoming friends with this small kid named nico who un-ironically liked mythomagic just as much as you.

Being so caught up in the moment you hadn’t realized your body and mind growing. On Monday you were happy to eat a tub of ice cream all day while most people treated you like a kid, on Tuesday you were schooling some little kid on why he shouldn’t cheat in games and the older demigods you had seen before suddenly invited you to hangout with them.

Sitting in the lounging area you saw a familiar set of bright orange shirts paired with some of your friends you had just met. Quickly getting up you jogged over. “Hey! Wait up!” Finally standing before them your happy face turned to confusion. “Chris..?”

The Chris you suddenly Remembered had been 14 and recently shaved his head as he lost a bet now.. he looked older, way more muscular than before and for some reason he seemed more mature.

“Holy shit” he spoke shocked. Almost scared he reached out grabbing your shoulders. “What’s your name” he cautiously spoke.

“Yn Chris when did you get so old” you shoved his hands off of you. You had been gone a week not a lifetime.

“Are You dead?” He asked earning him an unamused look from you. Placing your hands on your hips you gave a heavy sigh. “No I’m not dead why are you asking”

The ride back to camp was weird. While Travis and Connor drove the truck back to camp you talked with Chris as he updated you and all the campers with you that in-fact everyone was trapped with the lotus eaters.

Though what confused him and everyone else was how you were able to age and mature like a normal person.

Pulling your dagger out from your side you studied it ashamed. So much time passed without you.. your siblings grew up, the camp evolved, it was like you didn’t even belong in this timeline. Shining the celestial bronze blade a sudden memory came back to you.

A girl named clarisse came back to you. A girl named clarisse who you loved, came back to you. With that all the flustered emotions of a young teenager followed suit as well.

Stepping inside to camp a familiar sense of comfort washed over you. Three years later and the damn place still hadn’t changed.

Though the walk though camp was awkward to say the least. All your friends were 16/17 now and there was so many new kids and dead ones that it was honestly a lot.

Eventually you found yourself sitting in the Aphrodite cabin with silena, leaning on her bed laughing like it was old times.

“You know what!” The daughter Aphrodite smiled leaning over the side. “There’s a certain lesbian here who misses you”

“Who” You chuckled slowly remembering everything. Silena looked at you with a knowing look. “Wait clarisse?! No no she doesn’t— we never liked each other like that” you laughed trying to play it off.

“Then I guess it won’t be weird for you to go meet up with her right now”

After a silent back and forth you caved in standing up. “Fine! I’ll go see her but we’re just friends” You warned leaving the cabin.

Jogging into the arena you had to take a moment to appreciate what you saw in-front of you. 5’10 and lean just swinging her spear around with a concentrated look plastered on her face. Even even she was taking her anger out clarisse was still beautiful.

She stuck her spear into the sand and started tying her curly hair back. Placing her hands on her hips she let out a heavy sigh just letting the energy fall away from her body.

Slowly walking towards her you cleared your throat nervous… justtt friends that’s what you were. “Hey..” you managed.

Instantly she looked over stunner and a little embarrassed. Clarisse didn’t move, didnt even speak. She opened her mouth for only a second before just closing it again not sure what to say.

Deciding to take the first step you gently patted your sides. Pulling the dagger from your side you held it out. “I figured I don’t need it anymore so I should return it-“

“Keep it” she quickly spoke. “Sorry.. I’m just, it’s been a long time” a tired breath left her lips causing you to blush slightly.

“Right..“ placing the blade away you looked back up deciding that maybe just standing in silence was the best think to do.

What felt like an eternity soon came to an end when clarisse decided to finally speak up. “Can we.. can we hangout tommorow” she slowly asked.

Nodding your head adamantly you smiled. “Yeah, I’d like that a lot.”

“Shut up it did not feel like a week” clarisse laughed walking around the forest with you. For majority if the day you both had just spent time together, almost like a date.

Now with the moon rising you both decided to finish the hangout off with a walk in the woods. “It did” you giggled. “I swear to the gods I was only there for a week”

She just rolled her eyes. “Must of been nice” she mumbled shaking her head. Confused you chuckled back. “What do you mean?”

“Well you didn’t have to spend three years thinking the first girl you ever actually fell in love with was dead and having to find some way to continue yourself that leaving her to bleed out after she protected you from dying wasn’t yourself and was the right thing to do”

You stopped walking and just looked up at clarisse. “You love me”

She looked back at you and just shrugged her shoulders. She was completely different from the dumb childhood crush you had. Slowly you grabbed clarisses arm and took her hand into yours. Looking down you smiled as she was wearing one of your favorite rings.

“I don’t remember a lot. I don’t know how I ended up in the hotel.. but what I do remember is that throughout my long week stay I always remembered a girl who could effortlessly make me laugh and always made my stomach do flips” a small laugh left your mouth. “Out of everything and everyone I always remembered being in love with you clarisse”

Shyly with her free hand she cupped the side of your face. Brining you close to her she muttered. “Can I Kiss you..”

Laughing some you nodded. “Yeah you can kiss me”

Placing her lips onto yours you couldn’t help b it smile happily. It made you feel warm how some way some how clarisse waited for you. Guess it was a good think to since you had no choice but to wait for her too.

Sure thing ^^ There’s actually a lot I like about Playful Land, (which is also why I was sad that it wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be):

The atmosphere! I don’t like amusement parks irl (I’m kind of like that grumpy big sister that will go with you as a chaperone but wouldn’t want to eat anything or get on any rides or attractions), but they’re such interesting settings! Everything all colorful and sparkly, people laughing and chattering, the games and rides… So fun. I think the atmosphere is excellent even when it swaps over to the serious section—suddenly, the park becomes desolate and creepy as you dodge into the shadows, away from harsh light and the puppets on the hunt for you. It’s something straight out of a horror movie and I love those vibes.

Fellow and Gidel! Big fan of their designs and dynamic with each other and the cast. Fellow’s so effortlessly charming to me, whether he’s being an obvious smiling con artist, pulling that over-the-top evil smirk, or being a protective older brother/guardian figure to Gidel. He’s just a touch too… pathetic to make it to the top of my character tier list. But still!! He has a super handsome face and a cute smile. And Gidel isn’t all too bright but is earnest and supportive of Fellow in return.

The music!! It's so upbeat. I can't exactly hum along to it since I can't always follow the tune, but just hearing the beginning notes or the opening whistles make me feel really happy.

Like L*ona sitting down in a place he shouldn't and Fellow literally rushing at the SSR trio to tear up their tickets.

The stakes! I enjoyed how morbid things got. What can I say??? I love it when the stakes are high. We usually don't get that in Twst event stories, so I appreciate the change of pace and forcing our blorbos to fight for their lives :))

KALIMMMMMMM 😭 I think his best traits really shone in this event!! I love how he's the only one to give Fellow a chance to speak his mind and how he continues to believe in Fellow's goodness. Some might call that naive (and yeah, it definitely is), even when his peers and especially Ace and Ortho tell him he's INSANE for thinking this way. It also shows us that Kalim is willing to listen and empathize even with people who have his worst interests in mind.

I did not realize she and leliana was estranged 😭 also if im remembering correctly she makes loghain do the dark ritual? sorry I do like spinning her around in my head and knowing the little details she’s such a great character!!

leliana and minerva did not have a clear breakup in the alistair minerva sense but they did grow apart because of the simple reason that post dao minerva becomes politically at odds with the chantry while leliana is serving its leader. leliana is not a type of person minerva finds very easy to like or trust so while they did grow on each other over the course of dao they never had a simple friendship in the first place

alistair you probably know about bc its kind of the cornerstone of minervaposting but theres a post fully explaining it not much further down in her tag

zevran is her romance <3 i hesitate to use the word “soulmates” exactly but they definitely fit together in a way no other minerva pairing could match

morrigan she has a weird close complicated vaguely homosexual friendship with, i’m sure this is par for the course for f!wardens. they probably could have been in love if morrigan had been willing to pursue it in the start and if minerva hadn’t already gone for someone else by the end, and all that is unspoken but very present in everything about them

sten is i guess kind of the typical high approval relationship as presented in game? not much more unique. a lot of respect a lot of arguing a lot of dry humour. they could hang out in silence comfortably and they’re also both know and respect that they’re very capable of killing the other if their greater purposes ever demand it

oghren she kind of doesn’t pay much mind in origins when she doesn’t have to but he becomes part of the family in awakening. they bond over having their insane shared experiences of the blight, and also over him trying to quit drinking and her trying to quit blood magic which leads to some really wild out of context conversations for the others. and hey, eventually over first attempting to parent at similar times

wynne she has a bit of a sharp relationship with. i think this could vary a lot if i pick her up earlier, but in my main minerva playthrough i picked her up late by which time minerva had absolutely no fucking interest in getting the kind of lectures she grew up with. sorry grandma </3

uhhhh who else. shale idk man im sorry for being a fake fan but shale’s dlc truly does nothing for me it’s unfunny and i dont think abt it at all 💔 this would be written in less harsh terms if i wasnt sleepy

loghain is. well that’s a kettle of fish. minerva spares him because it happens to be a preferable move for her agenda and her way of thinking, it’s not rlly about him as a person at all. she doesn’t absolve him of anything he did, like, she still thinks he’s a bastard it’s just that she doesn’t really believe at all in the concept of justice being done if it doesn’t serve a purpose. when he’s in the party they do build up respect and a weird kind of friendship. he sucks and she’s bitter about what sparing him cost her, but that isn’t relevant, it’s not going to stop her learning from him, or fighting at his side as the best team she can quickly make them, or simply finding him entertaining to talk to. so by the end it’s as a friend that she asks him to do the dark ritual, whatever that means. post dao she agrees with weisshaupt that him being assigned outside of ferelden is wise but they continue to write to each other extremely regularly, mostly on matters of news and strategy but occasionally on the more personal

•they'll find any reason to go on a car ride, they both like car rides, feelin sick?? car ride!!! bored??? car ride???? car ride???? car ride.

•at some point they dont even need to ask, curly just gets up and gets the keys and he signals to pony that hes goin out for a drive and pony can come along w, pony just brings a blanket too, he’ll forget a jacket but not a damn blanket😭

•they talk about everything but at the same time nothing at all, they like the quiet and they like the scenery, they also cant stay silent for so long w the other just right there but also they got something on their minds holding them back from doing their normal banter, they do still play fight a lil tho, just bc curlys in the passenger seat doesnt mean pony wont flick his ear

•they dont drive that far out, maybe like a neighborhood or 2 down from where they live, they also make small comments about how some ppl decorated the outside of their house😭

•they try using different routes everytime they go out driving to shake things up a bit, however i would be a big fat liar if i aint say that they would get lost sometimes

•if pony was feeling like sad or woke up after a nightmare and thats y theyre going for a ride, curly would drive right near where the forest are, he HATES driving near the forest bc those trees seem WAY taller than they normally r, but pony seems to like the quiet there so why not

1. the town is surprisingly supportive, its a modern AU so homophobia isnt as common but there r a few ppl who heckle and are rude abt it, namely jason carver and tommy hagan.

2. theyre pretty open with their love, robin asks nancy to prom during one of their halftimes and everyones all clapping and cheering and stuff and if robin ever hits a game winner nancy rushes onto the field to congratulate her, kisses and hugs and all.

nancy also always wears robin’s letterman jacket. all the time. like robin only gets to wear it when nancy gives it back to her so it can smell like her again and then nancy steals it back 😭

and obviously social media is a thing and theyre always all over eachother’s social media. (if i can find the app to do it i might even make fake social media profiles for them and the little text threads to include but i literally dont know how to do that so if anyone sees this and knows how let a girl know pls.)

3. robin is indeed muscular. she plays football and even though shes the kicker/punter she does the same body training as everyone else so absolutely she’s muscular. ( and it makes nancy very happy too ;) )

4. they do get jealous but not in an unhealthy way

nancy gets jealous bc all the girls flirt with robin. even her cheer teammates. and it makes nancy jealous because they ALWAYS flirt with robin but robin is lowkey oblivious and so enamored by nancy that she’s not even paying attention to any of the other girls tbh. she always apologizes tho when nancy says something

robin gets jealous but not abt girls around nancy. she gets jealous abt the guys around nancy. specifically her teammate tommy always flirt with nancy and hes said things to nancy before while shes waiting for robin after practice and he’s said very inappropriate things to robin abt nancy before and its literally gotten robin suspended from school for a week or two bc she got into a fight with tommy after he spread rumors abt nancy (idk what exactly those rumors are yet, im thinking since its modern time AU, and in canon tommy helped w the whole ‘nancy the slut wheeler’ thing maybe he like got so jealous of robin having nancy that he spread some girl’s nudes around saying they were nancys, and robin obviously knows that they arent nancys so she starts a fight as soon as she sees him. (and ofc nancy slaps the shit out of him too when she sees him. ik canonically she slaps steve but like potatoe potatoe yk) but ya anyways robin only ever really gets jealous of guys around nancy, not so much girls. bc guys always havw their eyes on nancy, and girls do too dont get me wrong, but theres just something that bothers robin when men look at nancy 😭

robin is more loose, shes not very serious and hates serious conversations so she loves deflecting. she holds her emotions in until everything collapses on her and it always ends horribly but she continues to do it anyways. its kind of a rough spot in their relationship bc nancy talks to robin about how shes feeling and shes emotional with robin and open with robin but robin is not open with anyone and it bothers nancy bc she doesnt feel like robin trusts her and she has to just watch robin go through things without being able to help her very much.

robin likes to go to parties with steve, nancy, and sometimes eddie, but she only goes to parties with steve, nancy, and sometimes eddie. other than that she will not go bc she is still a socially awkward person that cant read social cues.

and ig like tw for drunk driving and death and crashing and stuff

but nancy is not the biggest fan of parties. the whole backstory to this is that she and barb got drunk at a party with steve and eddie (this is midway through sophomore year, a few months before robin and nancy get together and for this AU steve and nancy never dated but nancy is surprisingly very good friends with eddie and steve and eddie are dating in this AU and have been since the beginning of sophomore year) anyways, nancy decides to stay at the party with steve and eddie and barb drives home and gets into a car accident and passes away. so nancy is like lowkey traumatized by alcohol and parties but she cant let robin go without her because shes terrified something will happen to robin, so she goes and is the DD.

and maybe there have been a couple parties where robin gets absolutely plastered like black out drunk and it made nancy very worried and scared so robin partying and drinking is lowkey a very tense subject in their relationship as well. i wouldnt classify robin as an alcoholic tho tbh, more of like a typical teenager at a party that just doesnt know when to stop

nancy is a very serious person. she knows what she wants and how to get it. she’s very serious with school and her job as the editor for the school newspaper and her job as co-captain for the cheer team. she gets straight A’s and when robin and her got together she told robin that she was going to go to emerson and that she wasnt going to let their relationship change that. and robin obviously supported that and said she’d go to college in boston too so they wouldn’t havw to do long distance. when robin got her first scholarship offer from boston college they were both ecstatic and robin was ready to commit then and there, but nancy is genuinley a very selfless person and told her to wait and make sure that was what she wanted because she could get better offers.

robin is very attentive towards nancy and the things nancy loves. she has a folder in her phone on her notes app that has a list of all of nancy’s favorite things. favorite candy, flowers, color, drink, foods, restaurants, tv show, movies, animals, songs, artists, albums, books, what nancy’s order is at coffee places and other food places they visit, etc etc. it also has a photo and description of nancy’s dream ring in it but robin’s saving that info for sometime after graduation.

robin doesnt know that nancy knows abt the folder. nancy found it because she was going to text steve back for robin when robin was in the shower and robin had accidentally left her phone on the open folder. it made nancy’s heart swell and she damn near cried when she seen the screenshot of her dream ring and then she did cry when she seen that underneath the screenshot it said “one day soon.” robin had gotten out of the shower a couple minutes later and asked why nancy was crying and nancy had to make up some lie abt her period symptoms hitting her hard and robin, being robin, made nancy lay down in her bed with a heating pad while she made nancy her favorite snack. it made nancy cry even more because she loves her so much. (yes nancy was actually on her period at the time and she had gone over to robin’s house because of it and because robin always knows how to make nancy feel better, especially when nancy is on her period. and nancy wont admit it but robin’s bed is softer than her bed and more comfortable than her’s so. she also likes being surrounded by the smell of robin when she’s in robin’s bed. she just loves robin’s bed in general.)

robin is nancy’s biggest fan and always cheers nancy on when nancy is cheering and being a badass journalist.

and vice versa, nancy is robin’s biggest fan and is literally always cheering for robin at the games.

robin is a gentleman. gentlewoman? idk but ya. shes very chivalrous. she gets nancy’s doors, walks nancy to class, after prom their junior year they went to an icecream shop and walked around the park and robin took her shoes off and gave them to nancy to wear bc nancy’s heels were hurting her feet. robin also carried nancy’s shoes for her as well. nancy also got cold so robin gave nancy her suit jacket, ya know, the whole super romantic thing u see in movies. if theyre eating at a restaurant robin always lets nancy order first. and you’d think thats such a minor thing but it absolutely makes nancy swoon.

robin is the big spoon most of the time but she loves laying her head on nancy’s chest after a rough game or practice and nancy loves running her fingers through robin’s hair until robin falls asleep. also if robin isnt feeling good she will literally just lay down on top nancy and nancy will just run her fingers theough robin’s hair because its genuinely one of her favorite things to do.

Of all the difficult choices in each season of TWDG, What would say are the ones that you struggled with the most for each season?

HMM good question. there are some choices i feel conflicted about when i get to them but these are for the most part the ones that i actively dread having to make (which i like 😏 those are the best choices). there are other choices throughout the series that i feel Bad about, but not necessarily conflicted. like. i Know what my choice is, but i still feel bad about the consequences 😔 these are the ones that i actually mentally find myself battling. i just love the kinds of choices that make me sit on a pause screen for too long when its really Not That Serious

S1: help lilly/help kenny - the circumstances of this choice are what make it hard. literally a ticking time bomb. do you try to save lillys father? even tho hes been nothing but a complete jackass to you AND the group this entire time and put himself in this situation? or do you try to save the group by destroying his brain before its too late? clem being there watching doesnt help because now theres the added layer of "do i brutally murder this man in front of this child even if it means saving her life?" i usually end up trying to help lilly just because i know kenny is gonna do it regardless (and i dont want her to feel completely ostracized by the group). the idea of puling this woman back from her dying father so we can brutally murder him in front of her is.... a lot. like.. you can TRY to save him you know?? even if he turns hed still have to get off the ground first just hold the salt lick ready kenny 💀 plus you still have to actually Die first before turning. theyd have a second to feel his pulse stop. but its a very hectic scene where youre forced to act first think later. and either way clem is forced to see it. the worst part about it is knowing kenny is gonna be on my ass about it even tho i side with him on LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE 😐😑

shoot lee/leave lee - its just 😭 telling this little girl to kill the one person she has left, moments after seeing her dead parents. its time for her to start doing the hard things. but to tell her to do THIS?? you are fucking that child up beyond belief. but also the guilt she'll carry if she DOESNT do it, knowing hes still in that jewelry store, possibly chained to it, forever (which the narrative impact of lee starting and ending the game in handcuffs (possibly a prisoner in his own body??) makes me SCREAM AND CRY LEEEEEEEEEEE THATS GOOD NARRATIVE BAYBEE).

S2: shoot kenny/look away - another "is clem ready to do this?" kind of moment. its time for her to start making her own choices. what does SHE want?? i think even a clem who shoots kenny is gonna be conflicted about it on some level. recently i played a clem who let kenny kill jane then shot him anyway. that was cool :) and the moment is way more dark than shooting him outright. no heartfelt goodbyes. just a tired "do it". oof. the set up for the kenny/jane fight is Not Good like we ALLLLLL KNOOWWW it shouldve been luke ok. but the choice itself is still a HUGE character moment for clem, and its one of my favorite and most dreaded choices in the series. how is clem feeling about kenny at this point? is shooting him something she can do?? before its too late?? or will she be paralyzed by choice? this is a choice she Never shouldve had to make, but here she is, and she has to. before time runs out. i like my clems alone so usually i either wait out the clock (no choice is still a choice. clem just cant do it but cant look away either) and stay at wellington (good alone ending), or i shoot him 1 of 2 ways (clem Can do it)(bad alone ending). shooting him after he kills jane is just like 2 birds one stone to me SHDHSJKDS 💀 and it hits that middle ground of being paralyzed by choice but still ultimately Making A Choice, just too late for it to matter to anyone but herself. and her line of dialogue finding aj alone "we're gonna be ok, we're gonna be ok" like shes trying to reassure herself more than anything WAAAHH i kinda liked it a Lot actually 👀

S3: ??? romancing kate or not i guess?? - its the only one that really made me feel conflicted (aside from maybe the conrad thing?? sorry clem but im gonna force you to stick around actually i like it for the Narrative and it makes gabe less annoying later. also conrads alright). do you respect your brother or do you get with his wife who hates him LOL. because its not one choice you make, not really. its one the game is constantly asking of you, putting you in situations where the choice needs to be made again and again until finally you make the Ultimate choice about it. people who complain about the game being so pushy about it are kinda funny to me because like, ya.. thats the whole point.... (ive pushed back defiantly Literally just because of how pushy the game is about it tho so like i get it) she is a temptation the game is intentionally dangling in front of javi. she is the Final source of conflict between the brothers. will he remain loyal or give into it? i say give in 😏 give david something to actually be mad about. ive both romanced her and not, and the game kinda feels stunted if you dont? like... i Get It. thats your brothers wife who is still wearing her ring after YEARS of him being gone. theres 😬 feelings there. but even if you dont romance her the game still punishes you by having her be weird about it in the garage in front of david anyway. i say do it even tho its messy. it makes the story more sound imo which S3 desperately needs at that point. javi can still feel bad about it. what DID david expect?? i love mess :)

S4: kill couple/send aj inside - i love a choice that gives me a lot to think about. even if the actual in game consequences are flimsy to none. with this choice specifically, what makes it hard is the fact that the couple asked to be left alone. if they were just two walkers it wouldve been a no brainer. but with their final request, it becomes a matter of respecting the dying wish of this sad couple (which becomes narratively relevant at the end of the game OUGH WHEN IT COMES BACK). and will you teach aj that respecting those wishes is important? he needs to learn to become self sufficient anyway. clem crawled through her own number of dangerous holes in her youth. but thats the other side of it. that clem, knowing personally how dangerous crawling into those spaces where no one could follow was, i dont know how comfortable she would be letting aj do the same. but also, she doesnt want him to grow up too hardened. if she kills this couple, its pushing him further into that hardened mindset. to do whatever you have to to survive, no matter the cost to others. its a choice i find myself sitting with the longest even tho its consequences are pretty much just 2 lines of dialogue ("that couple clem tried to Guilt me about" LMAO YEAH ITS TRUE AJ THIS IS A LEARNING MOMENT FOR YOU). but yeah this is a choice i have a 50/50 chance with going either way on. every time i kill the couple i feel so bad about it 😭 (and so does clem 🥺). it being more of a philosophical question instead of an actual gameplay decision is what i like about it

not sure/take things slow/girlfriends/kiss - NOT JOKING ABOUT THIS ONE its actually so hard for me HSDHSDJKSJKDJK i dont have a paragraph of reasons why tho i just love them all differently. the first two feel the most realistic. i do like the idea of taking things slow and the dialogue for it is really sweet. but also. they might die or be taken tonight. so one kiss before everything could come crashing down on them is nice. but also hearing them call each other girlfriends???? adds years to my life. vi in ep 3 being like "um so you said you wanted to be girlfriends 🥺?" and clem like "😏 ya" i just love hearing them say it 😭 Out Loud 👁👁. and then either way clem gets another chance to kiss her in the woods in ep 3 so it works out. and 2 more kisses in ep 4 from vi this time!! thank you devs for my life 🙏 what a wonderful choice

i honestly think that when it comes to joongdok it would be much easier if i answered with the tropes i WOULDNT put them in 😭😭

a very long bg3 rant about the poor mask victims in auntie ethel's horror basement + how frustrated i was the game wouldn't let me save them all

im so unreasonably upset that theres no way to save all the people with the masks on in auntie ethel’s basement. i killed auntie ethel before she got to her basement (thanks to sneaking around, all party members being level 5, and volo's eye) so i avoided having to fight the masked servants but only 1 of them was able to have any sense to take her mask off when we saw them and she herself said the others were as good as dead bc they were too far gone 😭 i wanted to save the cute drow + tiefling girls i tried so hard to.

but basically: the canucks vs oilers game yesterday carried a legacy and it was tough to see canucks eat shit

the canucks and the oilers have faced each other in the playoffs last season — their battle (?) (face-off?) would determine who would advance to the semis.

the canucks may have won first of the pacific division last season but it’s been so long since the canucks were ever that solid. previous years were filled with the team losing one game after another. so last season, despite their record, not a lot of people expected them to win; there were even bets that they’d lose in the first round of the playoffs against the preds but they won against them spectacularly.

i say this not because im biased but because of the shitshow that happened — the starting goalie of the canucks, demko, was injured and was unable to play in the playoffs. thank god that theres a backup/alternate goalie, desmith, who was able to play a few rallies only to be put in a leave because he too was injured. so what did the canucks do? they pulled a baby goalie, silovs, from their AHL team and made him the starting goalie in the playoffs. (silovs is a good player. he was a fucking beast, even forcing a shutout against the preds in the playoffs.) so the canucks won and then they met the oilers.

the oilers were at the bottom of the standings eligible to enter the playoffs for the pacific division. they had a poor start of their regular season, and had a shaky consistency, so much so that they were only able to scrape by through gritted teeth. the running modern history of the oilers is insane — mcdavid, the captain and heart of the oilers, was always dubbed as a one-man team because the oilers ‘suck.’

(in my humble opinion, the canucks ‘suck’ more — by this, i mean, the oilers have a steady foundation while canucks remind me of a ragtag of a team. but thats me)

the oilers were a better team compared to the canucks.

mcdavid is a generational talent, yes, but draisaitl is not one to ignore too. his tandem with mcdavid is topnotch, and his slapshots have a high rate of sinking in. but more than anything, what seemed to be both their biggest flaw and their best talent was their goalie, skinner, who, a commentator once said, was unpredictable. he was ordinary often times, but there are those blips in his career where he is unstoppable.

this was the team that the canucks had to defeat. the oilers were their wall to climb. in a sense, they are rivals (not the way the flames are with the oilers are, but it’s like bruins vs leafs — they’re rivals because the leafs are always swept by the bruins, but always in a tough and difficult, and sometimes even bloody, fight).

many said that the oilers vs canucks last season would end quick. it didnt. the canucks forced the oilers to a game seven where they lost 3-2 on home ice. it was a devastating loss and with it, the end of the canucks’ season.

so the game yesterday carried this heartache — the canucks and the oilers meet once again in home ice with the knowledge that the oilers have defeated the canucks once already. and the defeat isn’t just a singular game, but the defeat meant the inability of the canucks to have a longer run last season.

but the team has changed since then. players have been traded, desharnais for example is an ex-oiler, and the old roster was scrapped to make a new one.

brock boeser’s absence is a notable change, unfortunately.

in game seven of last season, brock boeser was also unable to play because of a worrying injury. this caused a cat astray imbalance in the team — boeser was the canucks’ main scorer. the loss in game seven was even frequently attributed to boeser’s absence (he even took it as a personal fault which the team and the fans tried letting him know that no, it wasnt his fault.)

and the absence of the canucks’ star scorer happened again yesterday.

the oilers’ start of this season was rocky but many fans were not deluded that it would be an easy win for the canucks because the oilers are made of hungry players. mcdavid has always tried to push them as far as he can, and last season was the farthest they went — to the finals of the playoffs.

the canucks were a reminder of how far the oilers can push ahead; of how far they can go.

not only that, skinner was awake yesterday. you ever hear about players being in the zone? that was him yesterday. he almost had a shutout until the oilers’ defence was shaken and the canucks were able to score twice before the door was once again sealed close.

skinner’s fire lit the embers in the rest of the oilers, and in the third period, the oilers had a swooping four goals, literally shot one after another, with only seconds in between. lankinen, the canucks starting goalie, had to be subbed out and silovs was put on ice.

the eight minutes left in the time were wasted battling for the puck in the canuck zone. then, the canucks finally managed to slip in one more with only a minute left in the clock.

it was so painfully clear that the game was won by the oilers. on canucks home ice. again.

it was truly a replay of last season’s game seven, only this time it was more devastating because the canucks have tried so hard to establish a stronger team only for it to crumble minute by minute.

the oilers have reminded the canucks of their sheer power difference. and the canucks have reminded the oilers how it feels to win and how a goodly rigged team plays.

i am a fan of both teams, but i had hoped to at least see the canucks reclaim home ice from the oilers yesterday.

Since 2017 I’ve been making more of an effort to play more games. Two have always sat at the top for me: Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Bloodborne. The first game to be added to these two since my Bloodborne fascination is Baldur’s Gate 3.

I’ll be sharing my thoughts and experiences on the game, spoilers will be below the cut.

Very few games conclude with me feeling like I’ve earned the adventure the game wants me to feel. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a whole ass adventure full of twists and turns, puzzles, combat, fantastic sound design, incredibly well written companions, a legendary soundtrack, and a full suite of antagonists to face off against. It is the widest game I’ve ever played with so many systems below the surface I stop seeing the inner workings of the clock and it appears to me as magic.

Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t do anything New per say, but what it does is incredible. Everything is bound together in story, everything becomes a piece of the whole and all of it works in concert in a way that enchants me unlike any game I’ve played before.

A playthru of Baldur’s Gate 3 is the hour equivalent of the entire Mass Effect trilogy.

We don’t get games like this often at all. They just don’t come around like this. If you have not played BG3 I cannot recommend it enough, it is incredible in every facet.

In my playthru of Baller’s Gate 3 I made Jones the pal-adin, oath of the ancients.

Dragonborn look so fucking good in this game. I romanced Karlach and was so taken by her personality that when we left to Avernus to fight together so she could live it brought me to tears.

All of the companions are top tier quality. All of them. I will say some have stronger storylines than others but all voice actors and writers are bringing their A games and I can recall incredible moments with all main six party members that endeared me to them:

Astarion: when I discovered his performative voice and his vulnerable voice and we held an entire intimate conversation in his vulnerable voice after all our companions went to sleep

Gale: when after all the game he approves of so many actions you take and is so quick to be your best friend/lover as you support him with his struggles with Mystra he triggers a Disapproves when you try to talk him out of ascending to godhood

Wyll: when after he declined to dance earlier in the game you catch him dancing about and he offers you to join, having a moonlit dance led by Wyll to an orchestra vers of the game’s main theme between just the two of you

Shadowheart: when I offered her to let her heart decide what was best with her parents and she chose to save them, shunning Shar’s teachings of Loss to excise Pain

Lae’zel: when after being saved from Orin in the Temple of Bhaal her demeanor shifted, using Faerûn customs to thank me and asking me “is something burdening you” whenever I talked to her in camp

Karlach: her anger over killing Gortash and how it fixes nothing for her, her pivot from I’ll never go back to Avernus to I want to live bc now she doesn’t have to go it alone 😭

What is incredible is the climax of each storyline of these characters hinges on your understanding of these characters and characters. If in 100hrs did you learn the people you travel with. And thats just the companions. Theres Halsin, Jaheira, and Minsc I was so entirely taken with. Then there’s NPC’s both allies and antagonists.

A lesson I learned from this game is make your antagonists HATE each other, this gives the players exploits that make the story thrilling. The antagonists in this game are incredible. Ketheric Thorm is my favorite of the chosen, when you ask him if he’s going to betray the other two chosen and he gives this resolved “Yes. Its going to happen. Everyone will die bc Myrkul is the only god who answered me. So I’ll be the best chosen he’s ever had”.

Orin and Gortash are excellent pinnacles of their deities and you’re given so many opportunities to interact with them beforehand letting you really get to know who you’re up against.

Raphael is also absolutely incredible. A devil in hell with the House of Hope who preys on the desperate offering contracts to be their savior while reaping all the benefits. Raphael, who watches your progress to let you get in over your head before striking with an incredibly juicy deal, and refusing to steal from him is an entire questline created from the player’s defiance and NOT from an NPC setting it up for you, AND his final fight has a disney villain song he sings. Holy shit is all the House of Hope stuff good.

But what really sets all the pieces of BG3 together is The Emperor. My roommate and I have had discussions for HOURS on his half truths and metered out information. When Ansur called me the Emperor’s thrall I FELT something. I felt played, betrayed by this character who reassured me they were my friend at all times bc I knew Ansur was RIGHT. I was being manipulated hardcore even if we had the same goals. This was NOT an even alliance. The emperor and his execution is one of the best characters I’ve ever seen in any video game.

And thats part of what BG3 does so well. Characters so rarely just spit out what they’re feeling. You have to listen and watch how they speak and interact with them as if they were a person. To me that’s the greatest triumph of BG3, I have to approach all the game’s characters like characters in a dnd session, like people. Its a really REALLY hard trick to pull.

Mechanically this game is a joy. The sound design is so chunky that all the actions and effects feel great to use. Respec’ing is easy and quick, and bc gear doesn’t upgrade you can respec and get back in the game instantly. It felt GOOD to deal 333 damage in the last round of combat with Huge Pal-adin Jones.

Btw, Elixir of the Colossus and the Growth effect on the giantslayer stack.

The fights are executed so well with multiple allies and enemies, casters in almost every combat, lots of uneven terrain and hazards, and not every combat is a “combat”. Many endgame scenarios caused me to sit back and say “oh? So we’re gonna cheat huh? I’ll show you cheating”.

Theres also bits I learned here I’ll be applying to dnd. The Blood of Lathander is a great example. Its a +3 weapon on a subpar weapon die, a +3 1d6 mace is just a more consistent +1 longsword. And its undead boons don’t do much if there’s no undead around. And its 6th lvl spell only gets cast once per long rest. Its a great weapon that makes the player feel overpowered against undead without breaking the game.

And thats just thoughts from running a custom character. I’m on Dark Urge and co op playthru and I love how the Durge playthru is just a cursed version of a custom character playthru.

I would be remiss to post my thoughts without mentioning The Bugs. This game has some major bugs that would have been a dealbreaker for me in a lesser game, but I’m willing to forgive BG3’s bugs bc of how much its trying to do. Some of them include:

Lae’zel T Posing on top of the altar she should be shackled to

The entire fireworks quest not working from guards always getting involved to fireball being thrown through two stories of wood floors and ceilings

The sound not working during the first final battle requiring a reload

Gale reprimanding me for taking a deal that had yet to be offered to me

Black boxes constantly flickering over Karlach’s campsite

There were more. And they did dampen my enjoyment of the later Act 3. However these are in the process of being fixed and with the game’s scale I’m willing to look past them. I will also say in its current state, 11/13/2023, the epilogue is far too short. Shadowheart didn’t even appear in mine. I’d at least like to know the fate of my main 6 party members, maybe more about the world after the ending. The ending is currently lacking for how well juiced the rest of the game is.

This is one of the best. Through and through. Its an experience thats left me changed, I truly feel I’ve gone on an adventure with my companions and we’ve gone through some intense trials and tribulations, faced down monsters and menaces, and played the big hero and saved the day. I cannot recommend the game enough, its a must play for anyone with capable hardware that can run it. Instead of a top two I now have a top three: Zelda Breath of the Wild, Bloodborne, and Baldur’s Gate 3.

uh.. it depends on like.. what the questions asking, if it means sometime in my life maybe.. idk it would be cool to see how life is different yk? and if it means like, go back to a different time period Yes id wanna grow up in the 80s-90s or be just a feww years older than i am right now

god this is kinda embarrassing, i dont remember exactly but i know there was me n two other pol, one of them was that guy from the shows 😭 i think my other friend was in it but honestly idk.. im so bad at remembering my dreams i should start writing them down

yes actually!! idk about every singly little tiny thing but i think some things are meant to happen no matter what way we take to get there yk? like if somethings rlly meant to be its gonna happen.. now like, theres some things that i dont consider "for a reason" but i think to an extent yet!!

headcannons of curly getting along w the gang

•NOW LET ME GET THIS OUTTA THE WAY, most of the time he doesnt rlly “get along” w them, more so just, doesnt fight, BUT there r small moments where they get along

•the person he actually gets along w most is two bit, two bits not THAT judgy honestly, they both joke around quite a bit, maybe play some slight pranks here n there, getting into some trouble

•curly and dally just do NOT connect and thats bc of curlys one sided beef w him, HOWEVER when they do get along its when dally is forced to help take care of him, even then curly just grumbles to him, theres like, no way of them rlly getting along😭

•i will say tho wants dally saved curlys ass in a fight and had to patch him up, curly was NOT a happy camper, but i could see dally kinda scolding curly and giving him advice and insight on tim, that would all around piss curly off a bit bc it ties into y curly doesnt like him but make him think!!

•w johnny, its not even that they fight exactly, its just,,,,so awkward between them, most i could see them doing is hanging out but only when ponys around, making passing comments, but of course curly tease johnny a bit for being so jumpy, johnny doesnt rlly say anything back😭

•HOWEVVEERRRRR theyve played card games together and curly was SO pissed he kept losing to johnny, now curly owes johnny some money (hes never giving it up)

•steve is a special case cause its like, rlly the only reason they dont get along is mainly bc of their ages, but if they were older, theyd find that they have some things in common and connect!!! i could see em teasing pony a tadddd bit and drinking together

•once soda and pony had to bail them outta jail and they found them in there chucklin n what not

• i think curly would see few similarities between him and soda, he doesnt seriously vocalize it tho, he just thinks its funny and teases soda on it and sodas like “i am NOTHING, like u”

•they will forever tease each other but sodas annoyance usually fluctuates, and theyre just being silly!! soda lets up on his “hatred” for curly as they get older, but not completely

•NOW W MY MAIN MAN DARRY🗣️🗣️🗣️, curlys already aware that darry takes care of him here n there and he has no issues w darry, its just that darrys way older, the most curly CAN do w him is like teasing him too, darry doesn't play into it tho, he has no idea what to say to curly like ever
