meta knight is absolutely pathetic and incredibly down bad for dedede this manga. its adorable. multiple people ive talked to or seen have come to the conclusion it seems like he has a huge crush on him. a quick brief for those who dont know but this mangas meta is admittedly Veryyyyy different from how you'd expect a meta knight to be. uncharacteristically friendly and cheerful and. pathetic is really the best word for it. hes kinda a loser. incredibly protective of dedede, he switches between two modes of fussing over him quite a bit and semi-often going into incredible rage bloodlust modes over protecting him or his image (youll see a good amount of jp fanwork depict this version of him as a yandere for that reason)

theres also been more than one occasion where meta knight tries to commit seppuku upon accidently doing something he sees as unforgivable towards his king (its in the chapter i just screenshotted above too, another time he broke dededes clock and freaked out about it). i-. dont consider this a cute ship thing for the record im just stating it to emphasize the extent of metas obsession towards dedede this manga. the mans got Problems...

apart from that, also quite differing from most interpretations of both of them, both of them seem to genuinely really like spending time around each other all the time. it comes off as casually domestic and is very cute...

regardless of my attempts to brief it, i dont feel like im explaining this very well so lemme just show you a frankly ridiculous amount of reasons for why i keep feeling like this mangaka ships metadede

context for this scene is that theyre rehearsing for a play, but actually its later revealed that meta knight is playing the princess while dedede is playing the male protag so im not exactly sure it makes sense that hes the one proposing here. my speculation is that to make the proposal seem legit for the gag they Had to use meta LMAO but thats just my take

also to be noted, right after kirby hears the proposal he immediately runs off and tries to tell everyone the news before ddd+mk stop him and explain that its fake. hes not thrown off or weirded out at the idea that they could be getting married in the slightest. kirby says gay rights Real i love him sm

-this one is from what i call the memory loss chapter:

dedede loses his memories from getting hit in the head too hard. the gang figures out that beating dedede up or otherwise causing him injury causes him to regain some of them back though, to which kirby attempts to harm him with increasingly violent means, much to meta knights horror. mk spends the entire chapter trying to protect dedede from him, and it doesnt work obviously, but after a particularly hard hit dedede remembers everyone again... except for meta knight. to which meta knight gets upset about and lets kirby lay into dedede for real. you see where people get the yandere personality from now right. i dont recall this trait coming out too often but ill talk more about it later

HUH???????? theres no heterosexual explanation for this. acting like a teenager with a crush out here got damn

regarding my thoughts on their dynamic in this series overall, i think theyre absolutely adorable. meta knight emits dog energy in this one. eager golden retriever towards dedede, though dedede has his sweet moments towards meta knight too. (viewing it with a shipping lens just for this post ofc) while meta is the more active crusher, some of the stuff above seems to imply that dedede has feelings in return as well :') they just get along really well too its great. theres a different chapter where they perform as a comedy duo. theyve done plays in multiple chapters. its my hc for these versions of them that they love doing performances of all kinds together and do a lot of rehearsals and writing in their free time...

and the yandere stuff i feel like i should address as well. i try not to take some aspects Too seriously because its to be expected things are over emphasized for the sake of the joke with gag mangas. but oh man the man definitely has problems. he needs therapy. i tried to be transparent in listing those aspects as well so people can make their own conclusions on it But theres one more thing id like to mention regarding that

meta knights personality has been shifting to be different from what i listed, as of the most recent volume. my beloved forgotten land arc... a first for this series in that, while the chapters still retain their gag humor and dont take themselves that seriously, its a serialized story that mostly follows along with the game plot that lasts nearly the whole volume (as opposed to other game arcs in this manga being episodic stories, using the games as their theme rather than a full on setting). with the more serious tone of the serialized story, theres a frankly startling hint of character development i never wouldve expected from a gag manga at the end of it

kirby gets ko'd the first round of the meta knight cup so meta knight joins the meta knight cup instead. turns out when he does that the final boss of the cup is dedede. meta knight Really doesnt want to hurt dedede and so dedede promptly kicks his ass without a second thought and wins the tournament. while the crowd cheers for dedede's victory, meta and dedede have a small talk where dedede tells him he doesnt need to fuss so much about hurting him/him getting hurt. presumably this is supposed to mark the end of meta knights intense overprotectiveness because (its never been clear-cut due to the nature of the manga previously, so its a lil hard to say) dededes shown he can handle himself, or like, isnt some fragile thing. i really hope itll stick around because i think its a great addition to both of their characters. the meta-knights have also been appearing way more frequently as of very recent chapters (ones that havent been compiled into a volume yet) which seem to also hint to meta knight getting more independence to his character from dedede's loyal servant. im very excited to see where it goes :D

and like, last last disclaimer if anyone needed it; even tho i love metadede and i like to see things through ship glasses sometimes i absolutely try my best to keep my biases out of my translations. putting out accurate translations means a lot to me! this entire post is me purposely putting the ship glasses on so please dont take it as "omg metadede is canon in this manga". you know way back when i was the only active translator for this manga someone tweeted at the mangaka on twitter mentioning that there were english translations around and he replied to that person. didnt respond to the fan translation thing specifically but the fact that he could know who i am definitely kinda terrifies me. if anyone goes around saying that his manga is the metadede manga because of me and he even has the slightest sliver of a chance of seeing that i will kill yall fr LOL

okay life got tough and i finally had the time now to catch up on new updates but oh god- im ready for the scalpel fight with davin, especially after the newest chapters this is exactly what I've been waiting for; him in stressful situations, i want to see how much he actually insured everything what kind of backup does he have, how is he really when he has to come up with solutions on the spot and more of him fighting, the facade slipping as he has enough of renee, him having to be the one to ask for help from shaun again and... god conrad's inner dillema, not exactly feeling vengeance yet but enough for already have his guilt eating him up, immobilizing him and his mind (please make him suffer from hypotermia and i will willingly go to your basement im a sucker for this one please) the parallels between conrad and renee so similar yet so different and yet the same under the mercy of pain.

so something i thought about last night while closing (that admittedly feels like it took to long too)

we know how mk getting the staff and becoming swk's student drastically affects his relationship with Red cause of his father's imprisonment. But what about Mac and PIF's? and it leads into a second question I just had while debating asking this (cause i figure this is in spoiler territory so i know no matter what the answer will probably be vague). would that situation lead to PIF questioning the story Mac told her? cause his whole story was that MK was a child he and an unknown party had conceived naturally and the father died before the birth. mk inheriting swk's powers and the staff would naturally throw a wrench in that explanation. mean she'd probably still think hed made mk, but strongly question about the father part. mean how else could this kid have swk's abilities??

Im not too sure what you mean by laws, so im gonna take it as a general "What are the major laws thatll effect the fic" kind of thing! The Fire Nation has legal banishment for everyone, which I mentioned offhandedly in the fic. You can send a document to the Fire Lord, but usually its seen by his representatives for that area, to get someone you are legally in charge of (your children, adopted or not, anyone ur the legal guardian of, OR if they've committed treason under the military branch ur in control of! although that can sometimes open u up to speculation, why are so many in ur command questioning our great nation??? What are you teaching them?) banished, this can be conditional (like Zuko's was) or it can be permanent. Sexuality isnt spoken about, theres technically no laws around homosexuality as it isnt even given as an OPTION, the only law that mentions it is that any relationship not mentioned by Agni's words, is not permitted and is seen as a crime against Agni, and is punishable by conditional banishment or even death in some spaces. Since Sozin removed any mention of homosexuality, polyamory, or honestly any relationship/gender outside the cishet binary, this means that without even MENTIONING the idea of homosexuality, as they did not want to even give a name to it as name is power, they've made it functionally illegal. Agni Kai MUST be fought between the parties who initiated it. The one who asks, the one who accepts, unless the Fire Lord says otherwise. This includes him taking the place of, or even permitting (read: Forcing) others to take place for either party. HIIIIIIII ITS BEEN SO LONG, hello to anyone who sees this and anyone still follows me despite my silence <33 its been a little over two years and my undertale hyperfixation is slowly returning but i really dont know where to start with all of the projects bouncing around in my head, so i justs wanted to throw a poll out there and see where it lands. whatever wins will probably end up earning my focus— emphasis on probably i have no idea how my mind works im just along for the ride.

“home is where the heart is” is my first, longest, and most popular fic ive written ever and ive improved exponentially since i first started. a part of me worries im no longer able to capture what i did then and im ngl, its daunting to jump immediately back into a fic i havent touched in over a year.

weapons wrapped in lamb-skin is my gaster centric artificial mage fic and its something i rushed through because i was still very new to writing and was excited to share it. its quality suffered because of it. ive rewritten the first chapter already and i want to finish rewriting around eight chapters before i start posting it again

and so my garden grows is my asgore & toriel au harem fic in the same vein as skeleton au harem fics because i thought as resident dilf and milf they really deserved the treatment. as compared to home is where the heart is, itd be easier to jump back into because i didnt manage to get very far with it before i lost my fixation, although as of now im more fixated on the skeletons than the goats and id need to do A LOT of planning for it because my noted are very sparse

and finally, nemesis and nike is my idea for a horror au centric harem fic featuring my takes on horrorbirdfell, horrorswap, horrortale, and horrorswapfell. theres a lot of lore i have cooked up, mainly being the mc is also from an alternate unuverse where they and their kid sister are trying to survive during a zombie apocalypse. they wake up in a wooded area surrounded by a fence and quickly learn the woods aren’t uninhabited as they once thought. excited for this one because it would be nice to have a fresh start and flex my newly built writing muscles, and have a point of comparison between where i began with home is where the heart is and where i am now.

Now I come to talk fanfic!! So i had an idea for a empires season 1 fic! its gempulse and love triangle flower fwhimmy but also a bit arranged marriage because your idea gave me ideas (in a different direction tho) man view are probably fwhip and gem, maybe some chapters in the other views as well. Basically Gem is in love with impulse who is a member of the dwarfen kingdom located under and between rivendell and the crystal cliffs. (I imagine this kingdom isnt really royalty based and more like a working democracy with impulse as a member of the leaders. Other leaders are maybe other hermits or skizz. Anyways Story is that Rivendell and Crystal cliffs want scott and gem to marry because of their magic powers in hope that an unity of both could save the end (or similar) Problem is, Gem is in love with impulse and scott is in love with jimmy. both of them dont want to marry each other and try to find a way around it Meanwhile she is just telling her pain to her brother who is in love with scott and would love to take her place but due to his lack of magic and inability to, well, carry an offspring he is not considered for it. He will try to help gem tho, because he is trade partner with impulse for stuff and he is like helping gem wooing impulse, who is also in love with gem but both of them dont know about the mutual feelings. then theres Jimmy who is in love with fwhip and wants to be able to woo him, but their kingdoms are enemies and the twins father would never ever let them at each other. So he tries to get to fwhip over scott, and scott is so much in love he helps jimmy but it hurts him. fwhip agrees to meet up with jimmy because he loves scott so much. its a mess no one can properly talk; only gem and fwhip have good communication. total love drama.

For sometime now I have been encourage to post and share my fanfics with the public. I chose tumblr as a safe spot to place my writing because of the kindness in the community and the shared love for composition. I am a first time writer but a big dreamer, with an active imagination and if you’re here… your curiosity served you well.

Hunter and Amity know each other are involved in their respective awful parental figures mermaid schemes!

Philip... wants to put Luz and Vee on display in his terrible aquarium? I'm not sure I buy that, it's been made pretty clear that the conditions in that place are so bad that most of the poor animals die off shortly after being taken there.

Or maybe he does want to display the Noceda sisters there... So he can reap the benefits their presence would bring while they're still alive and when they inevitably and quickly die due to the harsh conditions of the place, he has an excuse to dissect them.

I bet that's his whole mode of operation! Capture rare sea creatures for "display", only for it to be a cover for being able to take them apart as soon as possible!

Seriously, why else would so many animals die under a marine biologists' care? Philip knows exactly what those animals need to survive, thrive even. Yet despite clearly having the means to provide for them, they keep dying...

ok so this isn't really selfshippy but can i just say that i love xingqiu with my whole heart /p?? he is so "sworn sibling"/"twin" coded for me. he was one of my first four stars and was part of the team that i refused to switch out/change all the way til i reached inazuma (where i was violently humbled by the raiden shogun and got kokomi to carry me through the whole thing lol). he's one of the ogs of my acc (alongside kaeya, beidou, and aether) so he is very precious to me

i gave him his own room in my teapot (and one of his fave sets too!) and sometimes, when i have nothing to do or i want to read smth on my phone but dont want to close the game, i pull him up on the character screen and just chill there with him while he does his idles and i do whatever. i like to imagine that whenever i do end up reading a little longer than i thought, hes peeking over my shoulder and trying to see if whatever im reading is something he can use to tease me or something we can read together while he sits beside me.

i dont have any siblings close to me in age, but if in some universe i did get lucky enough to get a twin, id want them to be like xingqiu. i love that guhua geek. i will put carrots in his bowl during family dinners so i can barter with him (ill take his carrots but he also has to give me either more slices of meat or take my fish fillets). i will go with him to qingce village so i can dig through his warehouse of novels for something to read, and write all of my thoughts and comments on a separate sheet of paper for him to read too, when he wants. i think hed make fun of the annotations i put into my own personal collection of books, because theyre almost never actually anything of substance and read more like wattpad comments lmao but i think hed like reading them bc it gives him a better insight to how i think and why i act the way i act (and i think hed also start to look forward to finishing chapters of the books ive annotated bc most of the time, theres usually a separate sheet of paper that ive stuck into it detailing my more coherent thoughts and analyses of things i found interesting in the chapter). id love to go adventuring with him and chongyun (and xiangling too, when shes able to leave their restaurant!) and get into heated, but playful arguments about whether or not his actions still fall under chivalry or "unwanted meddling" haha

I'll try and put it like this Sonic. If 9 had encountered Akari while she was pregnant with Kafka, the musrhoom might actually for once regain his lost survival instincts cause she is not something to mess with when like this.

Might even make that Meireki kaiju inside him think twice about getting even near her. Much less trying to kidnap and possible experiment on both her and Kafka. Honestly, that thing creeps me more out than 9 those. And thats saying something given what we know about 9.

Hehe, funny you should mention that. Kafka has infact inherit his mom gravity ability. But it is sealed, for lack of better words, at the moment thanks being more human than kaiju. Even with Tiny upgrading Kafka, that ability is still sealed tight until what happened at chapter 114 that is.

Once Kafka wakes up and is ready for round 2? Theres going to be electricty and gravity shenanigans galore, along with whatever Matsumoto has planned. Also even if this ability had somehow been unsealed before this, Kafka's body would be unable to handle it at all and theres a very high chance the himbo could die as a resault. Which is probably why Tiny did not try to unseal it to begin with.

But yeah, the Defense Force is happy that Kafka is at the moment more like a walking taser. Even if everyone could do without the weird hairdos that will pop up when hit by said walking taser.

Another thing the Defense Force is also happy about, that the Hibino family is as friendly as they are. Even if they are not happy with the fact that there have been a family of kaijus right under their noses, they are not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth that at least this family tries their damnest to avoid killing humans and prefer to hunt down kaijus instead.

Meireki Daikaiju reminds me too much of Chakravartin from Asura's Wrath. Robs that well earned victory and proves to be a more massive pain than the previous threat. Even the enlightened pose he does while controlling No.9's corpse is too much like the asshole god. Now I want to see Kafka just jump on the kaiju and pummel it's face in like Asura did.

You really have no survival instincts to go near an expecting kaiju. My only comparison to that type of rage is Monster Hunter Rise Narwa the All-Mother because holy shit was her fight to unlock the Sunbreak DLC completely awful. Luckily Akari's hormones throughout it ain't gonna cause an ecological disaster for everyone unlike that example. I won't be surprised if no kaiju show up during the whole pregnancy.

The Defense Force are indeed very lucky that the Hibino Family don't follow the usual schtick. Like the worst they probably done directly to a person was either from self defense, pranks, or emotional damage cause the bloke in question is being an awful Karen.

to start the genshin gsnk au is also a fanfic which you can see here .there’s only 4 chapters so far but i will add more someday this is a promise

anyway i will tell you more about the characters in the au however when i was typing this out it got really long so. i’ll put it under a readmore hehe

the name of the au is monthly girls’ sangonomiya-san because kokomi is nozaki and lumine is sakura. kokolumi ftw (just started considering kokolumi as a ship like two months ago when i first started thinking abt this au)

anyway sangonomiya kokomi is a quiet highschool girl who secretly writes manga under the penname sango-sensei. her current project is called Heart-pounding! Love and Magic Time and it is set in a fantasy world where theres a rebellion against an oppressive regime and the main leads are a doggirl (hina) and a catboy (muuzuki. mew-zuki…) and they fall in love. so the plot is still mostly typical shoujo manga stuff it’s just that every so often kokomi will throw in detailed analyses of classic war strategies or philosophical musings on the ethics of propaganda or smth

lumine is kokomi’s classmate who had a big crush on her and decided to try and confess her feelings to her, except she messed up and kokomi thought she wanted to help with her manga, and the rest is history

gorou as mikoshiba…he’s the captain of the archery club and has a lot of admirers and he would be so cool were it not for the fact that he gets flustered sooo easily. he’s been kokomi’s manga assistant for some time now but somehow never noticed that she’s basing her heroine’s personality on him

arataki itto is seo except even more oblivious. he is still in the glee club and they call him “the glee club’s angel of music”. he lives with his grandma and his childhood friend kuki shinobu, who goes to a different school but works at a cafe where kokomi and friends sometimes go to talk about manga things. ofc shinobu has no context for any of their conversations ever

yoimiya as kashima ..not sure she’d be as “princely” as kashima but yoimiya’s so pretty and lively and always seems to know the right thing to say to a girl to make her day.. so yeah shes still the girlcrush of the school and the drama club star

kujou sara is hori. she is so tired of yoimiya getting distracted talking to girls in the hallways instead of showing up to drama club practice on time. she wanted to quit and join the archery club at one point but she stayed on as the drama club president because of yoimiya (but she will never tell her this). she’s kokomi’s background assistant so she’s spent enough time around her to know that beneath her quiet, ladylike demeanor, sangonomiya kokomi is a dumbass

thoma is wakamatsu, he’s one of the newer players on the basketball team and he’s a nice guy but a little naive. he got tired of itto showing up to “help�� the team practice (the captain says itto helps them learn how to deal with “unpredictable” opponents) and thought that maybe he could get itto to be a better team player and less annoying. except of course itto thinks thoma just really wants to be friends. now thoma is stuck dealing with him all the time. oh, if only itto could be less boisterous and more considerate, like the glee club’s angel of music…surely someone like that would have a personality as gentle and angelic as his singing voice, right?

kamisato ayato is kokomi’s editor who shows up at her apartment in a hoodie and sweatpants to collect her manuscripts and then leaves usually without saying more than ten sentences. kokomi appreciates him greatly. kamisato is so professional. so punctual. so reliable. definitely a huge upgrade from her previous editor, Nightmare Editor Yae Miko, who kept suggesting ideas that were either incredibly simple or incredibly stupid and trying to get kokomi to put kitsune plushies on every page. to this day kokomi isn’t sure if yae actually read any of her manuscripts or not

kazuha as mayu.. kazuha is kokomi’s cousin who grew up in the same house as her so bascially he’s like a little brother to her. he’s a bit spacey and either speaks in flowery, poetic language or just doesn’t speak much at all. he spends a lot of time sleeping or staring into space because he’s saving his energy for kendo club

aether is lumine’s twin brother who goes to a different school than lumine. sometimes he wonders about his sister and her friends from school, especially that girl she mentioned having a crush on. he visited lumine’s school once and left even more confused than he was before he arrived
