I don’t want anything, I just have homelander thoughts to share.

So I’ve been thinking about the weird stuff about HL. Granted, all of him is weird, but the uncanny valley things about him is something I love to think about. His canines are just a bit ✨too✨ long from having so much V in his system. Eyes a bit too blue; in his youth, his hair is just a shade of yellow from being unnatural. I feel like he doesn’t blink all that much, and when he’s not in performance mode, he’s too… disjointed? Like his movements might not flow into one another as much, like a puppet controlled by different operators in each joint. Or maybe they flow too well. I just have so many thoughts about it.

You're so very right. And I love everything you just said. Reminds me of this post because he stands in such an awkward way. There's always been something uncanny valley about him. But it's interesting when it's just the combination of all these normal things that in a normal human we wouldn't notice. Or at least not think it's weird.

I feel like the suit must be really awkward to walk and stand in so it's forced him to act like a puppet; just like you describe. But part of it is definitely his upbringing. When every step you make is analyzed by scientists for well over a decade, you'd too grow overly aware of the way you look and how you move.

He's good at performing his role but when he strips down to his 'undercover' outfit he looks so strange in it. Still walking as if there was a cape swishing behind him. Just his posture is very different from the norm. There's very little natural fluidity to him, one we'd only see from him when he's flying, but besides that it's all learned and performed.

Have you ever seen that husky who grew up around cats and now sits like one and plays like one? That's what Homelander reminds me of. He's just imitating what he's seen everyone else do, not truly understanding the natural flow that comes with being normal. It's not the way he was brought up so that's why it feels so disjointed.

I love Bo-Katan, MORE than the next person probably. BUT PLEASE DAVE FILONI. I LOVE SATINE TOO BUT PLEASE. Both of them have reasons as to why they aren’t fit to rule Mandalore, but Boba shows us time and time again that he could singlehandedly take back the entire planet.

And the disrespect Bo-Katan gives him?? Crazy, crazy propaganda and its crazy that SHE out of all people would listen to it. And giving Bo-Katan the right of being their leader after giving it up SO EASILY?(listen, I know she was in a tough situation but you think even the mando’s would take that personally and say hey not u but maybe IM wrong on that), you would think the mando’s would SEE that as unfit and disrespectful, seeming all that happened afterwords.

It would NOT be crazy, at least in legends, to say that the people would PRAY for Jango’s return. You think they aren’t gonna see Boba and drop to the ground with the Mandalorian throne in their hands? It’s his birth right DIRECTLY, Jango is a DIRECT descendant of Cassus Fett and a bloodline that has been Mandalorian for centuries— this makes Boba and the clones direct descendants too— THAT IS THEIR CLAIM. It’s literally their BIRTH RIGHT, and keeping the clones away from their culture is even more disrespectful than Boba not claiming whats his.

AND the watering down of Death Watch is crazy, I KNOW I aways bring this up but it makes me mad. I do not CARE if they are just the children of the watch, they are clearly still a rouge fraction that believes in the old Death Watch ways. Boba knows the stories, what they have done to his father has been with him since he was BORN, he deserved at LEAST a 1v1 vs Paz instead of that weak death (it was kinda cool but when you consider a VIZSLA?? Going down?? Yeah cooler death even if you hate them). Its even more important that Din knows what they’ve done, or at least the armorer admitting and telling the story of what happened on THAT day.

This was literally just a yapping sesh because I’m salty about Boba not reclaiming what’s RIGHTFULLY his, or any of the clones for that matter. All in all, Boba should be sitting on that throne not in some trash bin on Tatooine.

Hi this is Johnathan lmao, my brains been going into places due to stress from classes and an at home situation that could involve cops, anyway you're not here for that you're here for him

Johnathan came to be after an idea I read somewhere, don't remember where, that Mirrorlander may have been a deceased sibling of Homelander, a brother that didn't make the cut and served as a lesson for what would happen if Homelander disobeyed. EXCEPT I made it worse by having Homelander kill his own brother as punishment. But clearly he isn't dead.

Johnathan is an odd case, he's valuable enough to still be within Vought's grasps yet having him around could cause problems so LEGALLY he belongs to the government. He has all the same abilities as Homelander except for one called "Obscurity" in which people immediately forget his face after they turn away from him hence he's able to walk the streets freely as his own person (sort of) without people mistaking him for Homelander, he can control this ability, if he wants to be perceived he will be, if he doesn't then you'll forger he was even there

I'm still on the fence about him developing this ability as a defense mechanism or if it was forced upon him despite feeling like that's not really possible. Regardless it works for Vought's convenience of a plan c (because fucking hell at this point) if all else fails.

Johnathan is a free man by all means, but he's still just a tool, no matter what we do we all end up on someone else's plate.

i'm feeling... conflicted... about my opinions on the boys. i've just finished season 2 & i feel like most of the characters are underdeveloped

the show clearly prefer to showcase the "evil" side but there's just so much left behind!!! hughie, for example, after killing invisible talks to mothers milk about this weird feeling he had while doing it, like he enjoyed it, and they just... never addressed it again? at least not where im at

and i also have mixed feelings when it comes to homelander (i obviously despise him, my mixed feelings are about how he's written), but i'll catch up with s3 before i say anything. so, yeah.

superheroes (or action in general) are not my thing and the jokes arent really made for me, but i can't say i'm disappointed because -- even though im only saying negative things -- i liked it a lot!! it really exceeded my expectations!! i hope things change in s3. lets see! (i know im late... but better late than never)
