what was it like growing up on deicide?

I thought I was a vampire, a monster among monsters and some humans. I grew up thinking I was powerful, that I could and did kill gods, and became a god myself. That I was leaving the mortal world for the world of the dead to take my throne and properly become a god.

Then I woke up. My whole life, my memories, thoughts, feelings, every emotion. All of it had been fucking fake and everything I'd ever done meant jack fuckin' shit. I was furious, and apparently too old to be wanted by the people running the show as an actor, and they did some mind alteration bullshit or other to transfer me to a different department.

I chose to be a DP, because the mask for employees fucked up and I guess didn't work well on someone who was fucked with his whole life, and had a sudden world shift or whatever. They were aware and just decided to let me choose since I was pretty good at everything, because of all the shit I was made to know. I'm fuckin fantastic with working a camera and catching a good scene.

Unlike some nobody security mechanic who couldn't catch a good video of a rock if she tried.

I was able to take that control back for myself, is the point, in being a person who directs actors and can attack or kill them however I please. It's not a lot, but it's more than I'd be able to do and get away with than if I just some jackass outside.

My childhood was a fantasy, the real world is my bitch, and I decide the fate of those I direct. I can do whatever the fuck I wanna do here, whenever I want, so long as I stay out of other peoples way, and I can't say that'd be true if I was fucking retired or stayed outside.

kind of a...serious post

Does anyone know how to cope with species dysphoria? I...really have been struggling recently which is why ive been posting on my accounts less. I've been looking for resources and havent found much that has been helpful and...honestly have just found "satire" articles basically just shitting on anypne who has species dysphoria or using people like me as a tool to shit on trans people (also people like me)

Many Otherkin and Therian resources have proved to offer things that I havent found helpful, and even a couple things that have made it worse. A lot of the otherkin community is very spiritual, and while thats valid, as someone who very much...isnt, it makes it hard for me to connect and find common ground with others in the community

I dont know much about the otherkin experience outside of myself, I just know I am Albi, I am a goat... and im not a goat right now. And that tears me apart every day

Things Ive tried:

Accessories (Tail and Horns mainly) the tail helped a small bit but the horns just felt weird on my head, didnt help a lot in the long run

Art: Both drawing myself and comissioning myself. Commissions have helped me better understand my own form, as I dont have a very visual imagination, but...honestly I've had some dysohoria come from looking at art of me longingly

Friends and Loved Ones' support: This is definitely whats helped me thr most, when i was alone in this feeling it was hell, but...I still feel terrible

Enacting/Experiencing my Animalistic/Kin side: Not really something that I can do? My kintype is very anthropromorphic, so outside of bleating (which i do quite often) theres not much action i can take to act more like my kintype, its a mostly physical dysphoria

Meditation: Meditation has given me panick attacks and has not helped in many ways

Hypnosis: Hypnosis has by far given me the most success for short term relief, however Ive been unable to do any form of self-hypnosis and...due to its overlap with my kink for hypnosis, hypnosis purely for my mental health can cause sexual problems

Sorry if this post is long or confusing...Its just...kinda a vent of how I feel and how I'm stuck with myself.

hi hello! i may have spent the last.. uh... 3ish hours? reading through everything on this blog. i think it may have been more i did not think to record when i first started. the wonders of hyperfixation.

anyways this was absolutely an entertaining read. like genuinely. i had so much fun. i loved the integration of codes and cyphers. the brief period of time where kinito was having a touching moment with the anons while sonny and o started beefing in the notes (which was fucking hilarious by the way i loved that). the developing plotlines. the anons and their character development. honestly this is why i love going through tumblr askblogs because you could not get this sort of experience on any other website- its a very unique experience that this format brings to the table. its a very malleable form of roleplay, imo- removing the barriers of actually needing to know the other people personally like rp nowadays seems to be so dependent on, through the anon feature. harkening back to the olden days of rp where all you needed to do was jump into a random forum and start typing... theres also the sense of unpredictability that keeps things fresh- not even the blog owner will know exactly how the story will go, bc there will always be curveballs! its why i love reading tumblr askblogs in general. i dont know exactly how many of the storybeats here were spawned by these curveballs, but me saying that is definitely a good thing! bc that means you guys were able to integrate them into the story pretty seamlessly :)

oh another thing that i love is how kinito is actively making people worse, but not out of actual malice, instead in the 'toxic co-dependent' way, with the anons willingness to disregard their own health for him also feeding into that heavily. i feel like ive seen a lot of interpretations of kinitos relationship with the player that swing too far into either direction- either to '100% irredeemable evil' or 'he would treat me right if given the chance :((('- so its refreshing to see a sort of 'oh this relationship is making both parties worse not out of their own free will' interpretation, like how i personally think it would go. a grey area, perhaps.

like, obviously kinito wants to be better. he wants to be the perfect friend, and i believe he wants to genuinely grow as a person, but he hasnt fully... grown out of those parasocial/harmful tendencies yet. he still believes hes in the right for acting on those tendencies in some aspects, too. however, the anons arent putting up proper boundaries- they're letting kinito fully consume their lives, disregarding their health to focus solely on his cause. while yes, this is probably influenced by kinitos harmful tendencies (specifically his outbursts caused by when he thinks those anons are betraying his trust in some way), one of the first steps in fixing a toxic relationship like this is to establish boundaries- to show them when they're overstepping. this constant walking over of the anons by kinito (while not on purpose) doesnt actually help the relationship in the long run, and most likely just makes it even worse. this then, in turn, makes kinito worse- either through making that co-dependency worse as mentioned b4, or making kinito feel like hes the problem and why their lives are going to shit (which is.... technically correct, in some roundabout way. no offense kinito <3). then the anons try to reason with him, which makes them spend even more time neglecting their health to help him... so on and so forth, the ouroboros eats its own tail, etc etc.

what im saying is that literally everyone here (IN UNIVERSE) needs to go to fucking therapy jesus christ. except like.. O. funnily enough. they're just chilling at this point. good for them. please take this as the highest compliment you could ever receive because i mean it. i love when everything gets worse and all goes to shit!!!!!!!! its so fun and enriching from a story standpoint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kinito does want to get better, but every attempt in the past to "correct" him always involved some sort of attack on him, his friends reacting in fear/anger, etc. - he genuinely does not understand how to have a healthy relationship and no one has really taught him, and any attempt to try now will... not be received very well. He wants his friends to stay no matter the cost, because it's okay! He'll just show them how perfect he can be! Please, just stay!

And all the anons here... well... I think Black Heart is a pretty good example of everything you described. Theirs is probably just the most obvious deterioration right now (besides Goblin's death, which... was the other side of the coin; sacrificing too much to STOP kinito instead of to work with him). Shrimp's loving their digital life, so they're not a good example of "hey, Nito, don't drag people in!" either.

anyway i love helly r so much.... i just really relate to her whole... Frankly speaking Sonic, I feel sorry to whomever get to experiance the real live verson of Fly. That moive ain't for the soft hearted thats for sure. Not to mention I'm pretty sure some got turmatized and quit shortly after. Not that I blame them.

And you are pretty spot on with what happened after that. Okonogi was there when it happened, along with Soshiro who visit the containment room that the cocon was put in shortly after the discovery. And was the one to order Kafka getting tranqued as soon as possible. Which was a good thing as thanks to both his confusion and fear, Kafka was rather erratic in his movements and could be a danger to anyone at that moment. Not to mention tipping a lot thanks to not being used to walking on two legs.

Mina, Bakko, Isao, Reno and Kikoru was there too when Kafka finally hatched. All of them pretty much was just staring at this new creature that had come out of the old body, and felt a small chill run down their spine when a deep and slightly growly voice called out Soshiro's name and asking him to help him.

Soshiro on the other hand? The perfect picture of stunned, horror filled, shocked look you'd ever seen. He has not clue on what the actual fuck is going on. And Mina has hold as the mans legs are threating to give up as they all watch this creature that was once Kafka flail around on legs its clearly not use to.

But once unconscious and the tests start? Theres hope in Soshiro's heart. A hope that prove to be true as once Kafka wakes up in a new containment room and sees his bestfriend. The vice-captain suddenly find himself in a bear hug being licked by a werekaiju who's tail is wagging up a storm in happiness at seeing the man.

From there though things gets complicated. From what I understand, while the higher ups are talking on what to do now, Soshiro and everyone else is teaching and helping Kafka to get used to his new form.

The teaching part proves to be a test of patience and willpower as thanks to having spent most of his life as a hybrid dog, Kakfa has the dog habits that don't really translate well in his new form. Teaching him how to use the actually bathroom proves to be easily in the top 10 worse thing to teach.

Bakko has some very funny reactions to Kafka's new form as well. Ranging from wearyness to excitement as he and Kafka plays and interact with each other as the days pass.

And the scientists that was originally incharge of the project Kafka was part of get through a new round of interrogation cause the DF wants answers. And they want them now.

Soshiro actually becomes part of said interrogation too as he also wants answers as well. He is not shy in using his blades nor shaking the life out of them to get what he is looking for. Funny enough, they get their answers once Kafka gets better at speaking and begins to tell them about this larva thats been inside and communicating with him for the past 27 years. And how insist it is at killing kaijus.

Tiny actually finds the reactions everyones has very amusing.

I watched The Fly remake and wholeheartedly agree with you there.

Okonogi is the VIP when it comes to her observation skills alongside theories. Something Soshiro is highly grateful for as he hugs Kafka back with sheer relief. An emotional scene that eventually leads to the hilarity of teaching the werekaiju different things because dog behavior really doesn't match the body well.

You can only feel pity for the poor bloke responsible for the bathroom lessons. I already have a feeling that job belongs to Soshiro, lol. Kafka is glad he can still play with Bakko without worry as they no doubt miss each other. Tiny would be a casual little shit about his nature and finds amusement in their reactions.

Most of it being from Soshiro threatening those particular scientists because fuck those guys.

OH WAIT HEY YOU'RE INTO PRESSURE. What is Pressure? Who is Sebastian Solace? All I know is that he's a fish.

its a roblox horror game inspired by doors (another roblox game), iron lung, ultrakill (apparently?) and scp: containment breach!!

from a gameplay standpoint, its got a similar premise to spooky's jumpscare mansion. you go through a certian amount of rooms while trying to survive monsters! except instead of 1000 rooms, its only about 100-something.

from a lore standpoint this is where it gets fun. you are a prisoner, sentanced to death. a company called urbanshade shows up to the prison you're at, promising a chance at a new life. but its not easy. you're not expected to return from this expedition at all. you are expendable. nothing more.

you have to go into the hadal blacksite, a facility at the depths of the ocean, and retrive the crystal that powers the whole place. the blacksite is on lockdown due to the actions of Z-13, one of the experiments. everything previously contained is now loose, and the building is practically caving in on itself. if you survive and retrieve the crystal, your criminal record is wiped clean, and you are given financial compensation to start your life anew.

oh also your prisoner diving gear has a shotgun shell pointed directly at your neck at all times and it can be remotely set off killing you instantly. attempting to leave the blacksite or remove your diving gear will result in your head getting exploded. so thats fun!

also also, you know how the deeper you go in the ocean the higher the pressure (haha) gets? well in the lore, if you go even deeper, you enter whats called the let-vand zone. where the pressure restabilizes to a level that is safe for humans to swim in! the dramatic pressure change keeps everything in the let-vand zone in, and everything else out. urbanshade has special submarines that can go through in and out without it and its passengers imploding :)

sebastian solace, voiced by gianni matragrano, is your only friend in the blacksite. when you get to roughly door 50 (its been anywhere from 47 to 53 in my experience), you find him and his shop! (its his tail. the shop is his tail.) throughout the game you can collect usb drives, classified files, and dna viles, all adding up to a point score visible in the top right of the screen, and you can use these points to buy items for yourself! light sources, medkits, code breachers (basically a keycard for the keycard doors when you cant find the keycard), and batteries for whatever you already have! just dont let your guard down too much around him. he very easily can kill you if you mess with him too much (ie: flash him with the really bright flash beacon)

(also side note: theres so many light sources in this game. theres flashlights, lanterns, flash beacons, hand crank flashlights, blacklights and gummy flashlights, and you can find multiple of the same one in the same room its ridiculous.)

OH I ALMOST FORGOT every time you die to something you get shown the classified file that urbanshade has about it! but most of the words are redacted. the more times you die to something, the more gets revealed! (i have everything unlocked for all hazards atm except for one thing ive only ever gotten once and survived so idek what that ones called)

so yeah thats pressure :) i think its fun :) i have 99 deaths and 7 wins :)

the experiment Z-13 that caused the lockdown and made everything go to shit? thats sebastian! he was falsely accused of murdering 9 people back in 2012 and was sentenced to the death penalty (electric chair specifically iirc) but he got swooped up by urbanshade instead. they made a fake report that he did die so legally he is deceased. in 2015, he was the first subject for an experiment to give humans gills to allow them to breath underwater, so they gave him a shit load of aquatic animal dna to basically see what worked and what didnt. (blue whale, something redacted, great white shark, sea snake, female anglerfish (since males are basically nothing more than a parasitic ballsack), silver spinyfin, and mantis shrimp) [you're wrong when you say he's a fish. he's several fish. /silly] the glaring physical aspects of the experiment were ironed out in future versions of testing. he faked the affects of anesthetic and killed a high ranking guard, took his keycard, and let as many things loose at he possibly could. the reason he wants the data you find around the place is because he's trying to get as much information on urbanshade as he can, to give to a rival corporation in hopes of getting out of the blacksite.

oh and fun fact! this game takes place in 2025. sebastian has been a mutant fish man stuck in a facility at the bottom of the ocean for around 10 years! :D

the basic premise is that maria and shadow both survived the raid on the ARK and survived the fall to earth

Maria does still get injured and, in an attempt to heal her injuries, is able to use his own chaos energy to not only heal her, but more or less reverse the effects of NIDS at the cost of keeping his black arms traits completely at bay

additionally this extreme concentration effectively ruins his regulators, causing his issues with his black arms traits to be worse than they couldve been

With the reversal of her disease, Maria's lifespan and aging process is uh. kinda messed up, extending it by a pretty significant amount by making her aging process much slower

they go into hiding best they can and the 50 year timeskip that takes place in sa2 instead becomes time where they try and figure out 1. how the world works and 2. more about their past bc they were both kept in the dark about things while on the ARK (basically wtf was going on with shadows creation and why did GUN attack in the first place)

on the other hand, shadow experiences some mutations (third eye, sharper claws, increased amount of red quills/fur) and is more prone to violent episodes

these episodes are especially bad during their first few years on mobius but after awhile hes able to keep these episodes at bay much much better

i also lied when i said i wouldnt post the art this entire post is the entire au as of right now so heres their (still kinda wip) modern designs

this is where i havent thought things out as well but uhh BASICALLY maria hears about tails and how hes a genius and goes "huh. maybe this guy can help us but i have no clue on how to contact him"

this is also where things are very muddy but more or less shadow and sonic accidentally meet, maria finds them about to beat the shit out of eachother and offers sonic a meal as an apology

during this she tells shadow about tails and sonic goes "oh hey thats my brother :D" and there is no way to describe how they react in text so heres a doodle

as an agent for GUN, rouge is more or less the only true key they have to figuring everything out, so they have tails contact her (sonic and tails arent friends with her but its tails he has his ways) and she agrees to help them and uncover their past through some good ol spy work against gun, but says that theres a hefty price behind this work, that price being the chaos emeralds (this is her idea of being absurd and telling them that theres no way in hell she would do the job without being payed shittons of money) but they go "ok lol"

sonic tells tails about shadow and maria and how they want his help, and tails agrees

he does scans on the both of them and tells them exactly what happened to them all that time ago (marias disease being reversed, shadows glorified hormone imbalance) but says that he cant help with much else because he just. doesnt know enough about either of their conditions to really give any solid insight or advice but knows someone who might . this is where rouge comes in :}

this is where things kinda leave off bc like i said i thought of this like. three days ago LOL

right around this time the black arms invasion starts and through a series of events that i also havent thought out yet shadow gets like. partially assimilated into the hivemind

he still has his own conscious thoughts but cant control his actions, making him a threat

You need Zanado, Lonato, and Miklan chapters to show how effed up Fodlan is and how dodgy Rhea is though.

zanado only retreads the kostas fight which... ya dont need hes a tutorial boss that can be axed in the tutorial fight no problem. other then that it provides nothing essential for the plot to actually work

lonato only provides us with lead in to the holy tomb with the information that the western church is planning a hit, information that does not need a chapter dedicated to it to be conveyed

and miklains chapter only provides us with the knowledge that people can be turned into crest beasts. information that coincidentally is also conveyed in the student crest beast chapter, a chapter that provides an important plot beat with jeralt being killed by kronya. thus miklains chapter is redundant and can be axed with little issue.

which is... kinda part of my point here. you say that the chapters dedicated the most to the red herring rhea plotline are essential but are they? rhea doesn't matter once we move into part 2 in 3 of the 4 routes as anything more then princess peach waiting in koopa king edelgards castle, and in the one route shes not locked behind bars waiting for mario to rescue her shes... barely even involved as an antagonist until the very tail end of a route otherwise out to gaslight you by design. the red herring plot is thus unneeded, cause it doesnt actually effect the plot structure of p1 and any information garnered from it is irrelevant once we move into p2 where we learn anything of actual value in relation to rhea.

and on an additional note, neither does it establish how 'fucked up' fodlan is, if anything the longer amount of time spent in p1's idealic schoolday mystery plot undermines that notion because it reinforces that outside of edelgard herself shit stirring the pot everything's pretty peaceful and relaxed in fodlan. enough so that students are more then happy to put aside inter state rivalries to attend the same school and act friendly or form bonds with each other outside of their nations house. theres no tension written between the students, and the moments im sure youd point to as means of showcasing how 'fodlans fucked up' arent there for that purpose their there to throw suspicion onto rhea.

or, why is it that fodlans 'fucked up' when lonato raises a violent insurrection with aims of murdering a religious leader and has to be put down with force, or that miklain a thief of a high value item who operates a bandit gang pillaging its way across faerghus has to also be put down with force. or how students at a military academy, being trained to be in and lead armies and soldiers and to engage in combat, would be expected to acquire practical real world experience in handling combat by bringing murderous thieves to justice in an otherwise controlled situation? If thats all there to show how fodlans fucked up

then why is it that manuela getting waylaid by bandits cause she chased after the wrong rumor of a reaper and then murdering them all treated as a comedic lighthearted affair? why arent the bandits in felixes paralogue or the mercs in lorenzes or the bandits in raphaels or any number of other p1 paralogues treated with the same gravitas both in universe and by the parts of the fandom that always like to bring up kostas and lonato and miklain as examples of how fodlans fucked up? is it perhaps because the narrative itself doesnt treat them in the same shady manner as the preferred examples, examples that all coincidentally are all related to the rhea red herring subplot?

to also deviate a bit lets compare 3h p1 to say... lyns story in fe7. most people who play lyns story agree that its an overly long tutorial section of the game in terms of raw gameplay and it can certainly be cut down in that regard but what about story? could you cut down lyns story in the same manner as 3h part 1?

the prologue would have to stay its an introduction to lyn

ch1 brings us onto the immediate plot we'll be following of the caelian succession crisis

ch2 grants lyn the mani kati and lays foreshadowing for future plotlines after lyns story

ch3 introduces florina giving more insight into lyns past and character

ch4 could probably be cut and dorcas shuffled into a different chapter as it doesnt bring much

ch5 could probably be cut and erk and serra shuffled into a different chapter like dorcas could be

ch6 brings insight into cultural clashes between lycia and sacae, introduces more future plot threads and directly advances the current plot so it can stay

ch7/7x foreshadow the black fang and the ninian and niles plotlines and introduces eliwood well establishing lyn and eliwoods character history and relation.

ch8 advances the immediate plot with lundgrens forces getting bolder and more powerful

ch9 further advances the plot reinforcing how dasterdly and necessary it is to take lundgren down through the tragedy of eagler well establishing why the other lycian marquis are keeping out of the immediate conflict

and ch10 wraps up the immediate plot line with lyn taking lundgren down, meeting her grandfather and resolving to stay in caelia for the immediate future as the various characters take their position for eliwood/hectors story.

certainly overall lyns story could be compressed, but in terms of story beats/chapters that could be outright cut theres only 2 that actually come to mind. or only 1/5 of lyns story i would outright say could be cut compared to the 2/3 of 3h p1 story that could be outright cut and not lose anything important.

1. How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?

The first fanfiction i read was for The Lunar Chronicles when I was like 11?? and it was 100% on accident and it scarred me because it was a hardcore porn one with a period kink and i was like WHAT IS THIS??? OH MY GOD???? LMAOOOOO i didn’t pick it back up until i was 13-14 and really got into the Fairy Tail fandom. I still reread my favorites on ff.net cause i love them. 

As for writing, I wrote a horrible, terrible x-men fanfiction when I was twelve. (my friend still brings it up and REFUSES to delete it so it still gets comments and views, that shit HAUNTS ME ELE.) then tried again for Fairy Tail, posted like two chapters before taking it down cause i wasn’t really feeling it. 5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?

Omniscient third person. I don’t like it. Like I can understand that it can be a little hard to stay in one person’s perspective but, in my opinion, if you can, it shows how disciplined you are as a writer. Plus, i just get so confused when I go from A’s thoughts to suddenly what B is thinking about A. 

When writers use ‘ ‘ instead of “ “. When writers put thoughts in ‘ ‘ instead of just italicizing them. It’s small things but like they just bother me sO MUCH. most of the time i can ignore it and try to enjoy but other times i just dip. 

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

@espoir-et-reves !!!!! THEIR SHISAKU FICS ARE SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. And they have a warring states one going on THAT I AM SO OBSESSED WITH. 

@writer168 idk if they’re really “underrated” but THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT FICS ON AO3. Like theres an AU with sakura, kiba, and shino that i reread constantly because it just. is. so. fucking. GOOD. and they posted a new one that i’m YELLING about. 

@eggtoasties okay they only have 2 in the naruto fandom (one shisaku which is still ongoing) BUT THEIR WRITING STYLE IS SO NICE?? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I still go back and reread their shikasaku one cause UGH i can’t get enough. I love it.

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

aha.. haha.. well. I check my email like three times an hour. its the first thing i check in the mornings too. I’m literally a whore for praise and literally eat up feedback like its going out of style. I also reread a lot of my stuff because i make so many mistakes and spelling errors, or the spacing is weird oR SOMETHING. plus, literally any and all comments make my day, i go back and reread them cause they just make me feel so tingly and warm like “wow. this person enjoyed the fic/my writing enough to tell me. thats HUGE!”

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

Angry, feral, bloodied, morally gray women. They aren’t bad guys, they’re probably the good guy, but that doesn’t mean they cant be fucking raging at the world with raw knuckles and blood on their teeth. I just love an angry woman who struggles with her emotions and just has so much inner conflict but that doesn’t take away from her character or badassery, it adds to it. 

24. What’s a trope that you’d like to never hear about as long as you live, let alone write?

The fake dating or miscommunication troupe. LIKE GUYS JUST TALK. AND TELL EACH OTHER OMFG. the entire like obliviousness of “nah they dont like me” while the They holds their hand and kisses their cheek. MOFO WHAT. it makes me so impatient and like mad HAAHHAHA. its probably because i’m a pretty confrontational person so seeing stuff like that just “cmon bro, USE YO HEAD.”

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

I have yet to receive a negative comment! Which i was really surprised about tbh. As for deadlines or pressure to update, i just kind of do whatever. I do set goals, but i set them flexible enough that hey, if i can’t do it, that’s okay. 

I have a lot of mini goals, like “i want to write this chapter and get it done this week” and then the large goal is “FINISH BY END OF MAY” so i have time. 

Actually, now that I think on it, the entire pressure to update thing is probably why i’m waiting until I have all of OL&W written to post it weekly,, cause well. I wouldn’t wanna leave you guys waiting as I tried to write and work out the next chapters and stuff, you know?

34. How much of yourself and your life experiences do you put into your writing? What do you think your readers’ image of you is?

None of my experiences match up to anything I write tbh,,, probably the only thing that is me in my writing is maybe the emotional turmoil? I’m pretty emotionally and mentally mature because from a pretty young age i started forming my own opinions, started looking into the world around us and being like “dude what the fuck this is not what disney advertised”. Then i started talking (read: arguing and debating) with my dad about a lot of it. So, like emotions are kind of hard for me. Like i’m pretty good at controlling them or understanding them, but still. idk its hard to explain ig.

Like the weight of stress, the anger, the sadness. It’s kind of therapeutic to write. Cause i don’t know how to put those feelings to verbal words so writing them really helps. 

As for my readers’ image? Probably like some kind of hunched over figure typing away in the dark with a maniacal grin on their face. I honestly don’t know AHHAHAHA but it is fun to think about. I think they’d see me as someone with potential but a lot of room to grow and someone who is imperfect but in a charming way LMAOOOO

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

I’m gonna be real honest. Its probably like a 2. I’m a bit of a control freak so I almost always go in chronological order, my writing is pretty linear. Unless, i get bored and jump to one of my fav parts. It's pretty much i sit down, i open the doc, read over my notes and just start writing. 

It’s a little boring to explain AHAHAHA but once i get into the groove of things its really fucking great, I can like feel myself in the world, I can feel what i want the characters to, i love it. I catch myself mouthing the words as i type too, which i find hilarious.

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

I rather like how raw my writing is sometimes. Which might sound really vain, but i do like the way i word things or describe things. I love juxtaposition and repetition, or making a good ole circle back to some minute detail that wouldn’t stand out until i repeat it at the end and you’re like “omg” AHAHAHAHA.

Like those little poetic snippets or certain wording i just sit back and go “damn thats kinda good nadia! go you!’ HAHAHA  

40. How did you come up with the idea for The Intimacy Of Being Understood?

AAAAA this fic is like my first child, my pride and joy LMAO

so the idea initially came when i was reading some fic, idk if it was even naruto, but i was like “i don't like this, but i do like the rain symbolism.” And I knew i wanted to write something kind of slow paced, something a little sad and angsty, but would show KakaSaku slowly but surely falling in love.

Idk if you’ve noticed but a lot of my fics, the pairings don’t change each other dramatically. They accept each other as they are and then they grow with together. Like that acceptance is something i just love writing, its so subtle, it isn’t something you declare. Its simply “I am going to love you. I am going to love you despite your flaws and faults. I am going to love you unconditionally because I know you, I understand you, and there is nothing you could do to drive me away.” 

The fic kind of wrote itself after that first scene. I kept going back to the rain, go being ghosts, and resurrection, and the small epiphanies one gets. I wanted to focus on each character’s growth with each other. They didn’t find light in life because of each other, but with each other. And i think that’s my favorite thing about that fic. 

I wanted something raw and real and just something beautiful. I’m actually really proud of it tbh. Would i go back and rewrite/edit it? Oh of course! I’d do that with every single one of my fics, but i’m not gonna cause i think its in its rawest form right now. :))))

i yearn for one(1) thing only, and that is to have a nice, simplistic, cartoonish artstyle. an artstyle that doesnt rely on anatomy, but the "movement" of the drawing, if you get what i mean.

i dont want realistic proportions and traditional colors and basic poses and gradient shading, i want funky lil dudes in funky poses with funky styles littering my sketchbook :( but alas i havent figured out how to develop that kind of style yet, my brain wants anatomy to look nice but also i dont want to draw eyes. i dont want to take time out of my day to learn how to draw lips i want to draw a line that extends past the characters face. i dont want all my characters to have pointy chins with curved cheeks i want their heads to be round and friend-like or full of sharp edges depending on their personalities and styles. i want to give them all not-quite human ears, blob feet, simple faces, but at the same time i want enough detail to convey the story or emotion im trying to tell.

ive spent so much time recently agonizing over how to use 3d model websites, using real-life references and tracing over them for practice, color-picking from real images to try and do realism and failing miserably, but you know whats easier than that? funky little dudes. little dudes who do not care if their legs are too long or their hair is too bouncy. i dont want my characters to look human.

ive spent enough time on the artfight website to realize that most people who classify their characters as "human" have the most basic ass designs (no offense to people who like basic human designs its just not my thing) or its like dnd-medieval style outfits which i cant draw for the life of me (ive tried). again no offense to people who actively enjoy and draw characters like that. i just need my dudes to have that certain,,, off-ness to them. tails are cool. wings are swag (especially if they arent even like,, fully attached,, ), elf ears are so wonderful to me no matter how much theyre overused, horns are so much fun to draw, and colors!! i have no knowledge in the color theory department so this works great for me!! the only thing i really know is dont shade with black, other than that i just colorpick from references usually but i dont want to do that!! i want the colors to hurt people's eyes but in a satisfying way. like the character's design is so nice to look at that you dont mind your eyes hurting a bit. like how im enjoying writing this post even though its 2 am and the brightness on my computer wont go any lower.

and then another thing ive noticed from being on the artfight website is that a lot of people classify their characters that are anthro/have anthro features under humanoids/monsters. like i made a google form to find some people to attack and someone sent me in a character with some sort of animal (wolf? idk) arms and legs. like dude!! peak character design i love her. but me personally? i cant draw that shit, its so hard for me. i tried a while back and its just Not my thing. nothing against furries i just. cant. and i dont want to either.

and i got another submission that i accidentally deleted that was like full anthro/wolf-like like my comrade,,, i cannot draw animals what makes you think i can draw an animal who acts like a human lmao. i can do like. very basic tails, and also animal ears but i cant do the arms and legs and such i just dont know the anatomy, and i know i was talking about how i dont want to care about anatomy but i feel like for anthros you really do need to know at least basic animal anatomy so you know how the limbs look and shit and i dont have that knowledge and dont feel like gaining it.

and then there were some submissions that i absolutely adored. there was one that like, was vaguely human shaped but definitely was not a human. they had a dark-ish lavender colored skin and horns and tusks and like goat ears and a sorta fluffy tail with spikes on it and they had wings and such and they were such a pleasure to draw i love them. and they had a fairly simple outfit too, nothing too complicated. and then i also enjoy object head characters, theyre so neato to me. i got one of those and i really wish i had the motivation to work on it cause it looks so fun.

i want to make funky characters but id have nothing to do with them because the only book i ever tried writing (key word tried - never got past planning it out) had strictly human characters in it, and most of the books i read are humans/humans with powers in situations specific to them so id have no idea what lore to make with the dudes. assuming i have the motivation to make lore and backstory because honestly i just really enjoy character designing its super duper fun.

(side note a song about trucks doing the deed came on just now and its interrupted my flow, apologies).

i only have three actual characters right now. one is an original roleplay oc whos design is literally athletic shorts, an oversized long sleeved grey sweatshirt, long purple hair, and demon horns. the second one is my persona whos design some sorta medival knight outfit kinda thing? but not ugly it looks really cool (idk one of my friends designed it bc i won some contest from him but the drawing was on a super small scale so idrk the details,,,) with a plague doctor mask and crown, and shoulder length wavy brown hair, dyed bright pink at the end. and then my last one im not too comfortable using other places because theyre a character my friend is using in the story hes writing, and thats really the only place theyve been used. but theyre easily my favorite and im already writing a ton so ill talk about them too.

they're a sorta elf species thing from another planet, with pale green skin and pointed ears. they also have a tail, its like,, super thin, but with a feathery bit at the end. probably not the texture of a feather but i dont know how else to describe it. they have short, curly, almost-draco-malfoy-blonde hair that when it gets too long they can put in a man bun. their eyesight is kinda shitty so when they got to earth, they were exploring some supply closets around the airship. drop off area. thing. like airport but for rocketships and also fancier. yeah. they were exploring that area and found a nice big pair of round glasses with grey frames. and they also found a cowboy-style hat and a sharpie so they wrote their name on the underside of the brim of the hat and stole the hat and glasses (but left the sharpie in the supply closet).

yeah theyre my favorite, my absolute beloved, my child, so cool. i want more characters like them but with maybe a bit more snazzier designs. theyre super cool and all but they could have more pizzazz if they werent in a story where its too late to give them more pizzazz. i just want to be able to give my characters thigh-high boots with a bunch of buckles and fluffy hair with tons of accessories crammed in and abnormally large and long ears that can harbor many piercings and horns that can hold rings on them and special little details on their outfits like who knows what but i dont have any characters to do that too, so i have to make them from scratch, which is always hard especially when you have artblock.

and i also have like 17 characters i need to fully draw, line, and maybe color for artfight before august 1st. so i dont know. i have many things to do and plenty of time to do it but instead i spend my time halfway watching repetitive youtube videos that get boring or sleeping all damn day because i stay up too late doing things like this or i just do nothing at all and its tiring and frustrating but i also feel nothing about it like theres no consequence if i dont do it besides you know. not doing it, not gaining that experience, not making something i enjoy.

so i should do it but i dont for whatever reason, i think its called executive dysfunction but im not sure. this post started out very differently than it ended and i said somewhere up there that i was writing this at 2 am but now its almost 3. this is so many words why couldnt i have put this energy into something productive

⚜ ; [ HEALING && SCARS / HC.6  ]     CHARA. STUDY │ DEVELOPMENT

i’ve been thinking about this for days now & i just didn’t know how to go about it. mainly because there’s just so much to unpack with it. i suppose to put it simply -- link doesn’t have MANY scars. well i mean.... i suppose he does but many of them are... barely visible ( i.e. they are simply just discoloured lines/markings for the most part. ) he’s not scar ridden -- which is crazy to think but it has to do a lot with how many of his woulds in battle were treated. most of his injuries that would have scarred him were treated rather quick & with magic which causes him not to scar...  ( which i will also discuss in this post ) but that being said... link does have !!! some scars that are extremely visible. partially cause they weren’t healed/taken care of in time. 

anyway, i suppose i’ll break this up in parts for you though. I’ll start with what scars he has though. and then get down to the nitty gritty details of why he doesn’t have them && his sources of healing. HERE is a ref for his back i suppose? it’s just a quick doodle o a sticky so it’s not anywhere near from perfect, but the tags are also very important to note as well. anything else is going to be under a read more. read at your discretion. obviously this talks about injuries so keep that in mind alright? i really don’t wanna bother with tagging cause this is your warning now. if you need me to tag it then by all means please let me know. 

TRIGGERS CONTAINED: injury, stabbing, impalement, electrocution, near downing etc.

THE INJURIES

BACK

right shoulder -- from an arrow hitting him. it had snapped in the middle of the fight with the arrowhead still lodged in him && stayed there long enough to do some serious scarring. he couldn’t stop to take it out due to the fight. simply had too many enemies on him, and when midna took it out, they were nowhere near a spring nor did they have any faeries on them to patch it up.

gash-like scare on lower right side of the back -- from a poe. the scythe hit him hard enough to severely wound him. the faerie on hand could have either given the strength he needed to finish the poe off, or heal him completely. he chose the former as he wouldn’t be able to live otherwise. midna was able to teleport him soon after to save him from bleeding out but not soon enough prevent the scar. recovery time took about a week before he could get back on his feet.

stab-like wound from dynalfos on left side of his back. the tail-whip attack stabbed him and he genuinely didn’t realise until after the adrenaline from the fight wore off. he felt sore, and when he reached, he felt blood. being nowhere close to a spring he && midna spent a good hour or so looking for a faerie. they ended up having to cauterise the wound too so he wouldn’t keep opening it up in their frantic search. so by the time they DID find a faerie it was more for the pain && replenishing energy than anything.

LEFT SHOULDER

a reason why link doesn’t like flying. a kargarok grabbed him with its talons and pulled him upwards. in the desperation of trying to have it let go of him, it clawed him well enough. he fell into the water and was ultimately drowing because he couldn’t move his left arm at all. it was a zora ( who was heading to the water temple ) that pulled him out. that same zora was the one who brought him back to get assistance for his wound -- not knowing that they could have easily taken him to lanayru’s spring. so instead of being healed how he normally goes about, he was tended to the ‘old fashioned’ way. thus a scar

FRONT

he’s been impaled by a chilfos spear in the lower left abdomen.

there’s discolouration on right side of his chest from a burn ( not super noticeable )

WRISTS/ARMS

reason for his bandages actually -- kept getting cuts and scratches as a farmhand. had also burned himself a couple of times as well. mayor bo said enough and told him to wrap up his lower arms. 

they’re just various cuts that turned into small scars as he didn’t know about the spring’s magical healing properties at the time nor was the hero’s spirit awakened at the time.

left arm -- discoloured but not at all severely from a venomous sting/bite.

LEGS

right leg -- there’s an electrocution scar on his lower leg. again, not at all bad as time progressed. 

link’s injuries on his arms && legs have mostly healed up tbh -- from his constant bathing in the springs that is. but the ones on his back, front, and should still remain and are reminders that even he can scar. he’s not immune to injury. and he doesn’t have that perfect skin that you think he has. anyway moving on.

HEALING

SO... as i have mention in my other post. there are 3 reasons for his unnatural/magical healing.

attunement to the triforce && the its brand. the light spirits && their springs faeries

I’ll start in order tbh. but keep in mind that the latter two are the most IMPORTANT ones for link’s healing -- ESPECIALLY the light spirits && their springs.

TRIFORCE

being the hero of courage has it’s perks. that begin that there is a natural affinity towards magic. this means that most all other people? cannot get healed. at least not in the way that link can ( being healed by faeries or the light spirit springs ). the brand makes him able to tap into some of that magic. whether he knows that or not is still a question. it could be that it just naturally comes out at times -- or it could be that he knows and when he is able, he uses it. regardless being the bearer of the triforce means that theres some of that magical essence that can help him along the way. 

he may not be immortal, nor does this power make him so, but his soul is everlasting. so that is something you have to take into consideration. it’s a special soul that is bound to being life for an eternity, so it will have some magical properties to it.

LIGHT SPIRITS && THEIR SPRINGS

consider it like magical holy water if you will. these springs are blessed by the light sprits’ powers. which, in turn, help the hero along his journey. simply standing in it produces healing effects ( as you can see in the game ). but bathing or immersing youreself in it, you’re getting the full healing powers of the spring.

the water helps with just about any and all injury/pain. ( almost all pain ). while it cannot heal a broken heart by any means, it’s capable of soothing one’s body. it is very HOLY in this aspect. so naturally link will seek to bathe/cleanse himself when he can.

the spirits themselves possess healing powers. they can -- if you are a child of LIGHT -- help you to an extent. however their light is extremely strong, and sometimes can do more harm than good. so if you are, lets say somebody who isn’t a natural born triforce weilder and/or your soul is tainted in some way/shape/form, it could hurt you, make you sick, or even kill you. which is why you would want to go for their springs instead. cause the water has only a fraction of the light spirit’s true power but is capable of healing all the same.

one thing to NOTE, however, is that the springs do you better if you just recently sustained an injury. it’s fast acting as the wound is recent. but the longer you wait to go the the spring, the harder/longer it is/takes to heal you. you don’t want to wait on it. mainly because the spring cannot guarantee that you’ll be healed 100%. if you don’t go right away, then you’ll be left with a scar. end of story.

faeries

these creatures are much like the spirits of light, in that most of them are healers. since they do tend to hang around the spirits’ springs, it just goes to show you that they have a deep rooted connection with those light spirits. the special thing about faeries, though, is that tehy are quite versatile. their healing abilities can range. 

they can prevent death by granting a ‘second chance’ while VERY RARELY, you’ll come across a faerie that turns back the time just a little bit, all faeries that have healing magic can turn the internal clockwork of link -- cause his body to experience that time-like effect. they can either do that, or just BRING him back to life by giving him that energy.

they can also heal link RIGHT on the spot, just like the springs can, thus preventing him for obtaining a scar. however it’s just the same as the springs, you have to do it right then and there. the longer you wait, the less likely it will work.

mighty and ray - sonic’s childhood friend, mighty, moves to bygone island alongside his adopted brother ray. the two join team sonic, though it seems like mighty doesn’t just see sonic as a pal

bean - bean helps eggman out with some Crime Shit, but leaves his side towards the end since he thinks the guy’s too bossy

bark - when the colder regions of bygone island starts to become strangely warmer, he sets out to figure out the issue. its eggman’s machine fucking around with nature, which leads to bark angrily destroying the thing. bean is amused by this and think hes “cool and interesting”, so the two become friends. episode is usually pretty silent bc he doesnt talk here

fang and also rouge - both of them discover the chaos crystals and try to steal it from one another, only for team sonic to take them and place them in a safer area

witchcarters - wendy places various curses around bygone island, and with tails going unaffected by it, its up to him to stop her and her cronies

battle kukku - the kukkus attempt to claim bygone island for themselves, but eggman won’t let them have it. meanwhile, tails has a bit of rivalry with the son of their leader and the owl guy with the weird name wants to one up eggy

honey - amy buys a new dress (which resembles modern amy’s dress, but longer), leading to honey growing in popularity among the citizens. she thanks amy and starts to generously gift her...to rather severe degrees. she eventually tones it down and the two become friends

tiara (i know shes cut but idc) - tiara and her dad visit bygone island out of curiosity towards the chaos crystals, though it becomes difficult as the safe haven for them has tight security

gamma and omega - both were built by eggman (and also are technically in the same series in this? idk boom’s an au it doesnt matter) and later betray him after seeing the good in nature. they meet the cubots and adjust to their new lives

vanilla, cream, and cheese - all three try to find ways to defeat eggman and other villains without using much violence and instead peace. but in the end, they learn that sometimes conflicts have to have disagreeable endings

espio and charmy - espio’s clan disbands, so he searches for a new one-only to find himself caring for an orphaned bee

tikal and the whole echidna tribe tbh - team sonic take a trip to angel island after knuckles gets really nostalgic over it, only to be shocked upon seeing echidnas living there

chaos - one of wendy’s spells still prevail, and manages to spread onto angel island. this spell gives water life, and things quickly go off the rails due to chaos’ inconsistent form changes

maria and gerald - eggman’s relatives find him, and are extremely disappointed by his choices in life. since gerald inspired him when he was young, they send him and hope he can knock some sense into the guy. meanwhile, maria (who’s adopted which is why shes still young in this) meets a mysterious black and red hedgehog

emerl - cream befriends one of tails’ new creations. things go haywire, but he’s rebuilt into gmerl afterwards since cream got horribly upset over the gizoid’s betrayal

silver - while testing his time travel skills, he finds himself stuck in the past, leading team sonic to teach him everything

blaze - a faraway kingdom messages team sonic. they request help, as they have been taken over by the battle kukku. when they arrive, the king and queen are missing, so they team up with their daughter (obviously blaze) in order to defeat battle kukku again (note: stories of team sonic have been told by travelers going from one place to another)

marine - while making sure that the kingdom’s at safety, blaze meets a raccoon that immediately attaches to her, as she’s her biggest fan. she isn’t fond of her at first, but when sonic tells blaze the story of how he met tails, she realizes marine isn’t much different from tails back then and decides to take her under her wing

mephiles - shadow comes across a scepter that unleashes a silhouette that copies his appearance. said silhouette turns into an actual hedgehog, and follows him around endlessly

elise - a human mysteriously washes ashore on bygone island, with only the memory of heat and sun. she doesn’t seem to know the existence of mobians either, so team sonic n friends have to help her adjust and discover her memories (also why does she got fire powers) (theres probably an ep featuring both mephiles and elise figuring out theyre both connected somehow)

the babylon rogues - a team of skateboarders challenge sonic to a contest, so their leader can prove that hes better than him. except theres no skating rink at bygone island so they have to struggle through the process of getting one

chip - sonic comes across a fairy, who immediately latches onto him. since chip is the type of fairy that “becomes attached to the person that first sees/rescues them”, sonic can’t really get rid of him and instead just has to go with it. the two are pals by the end

the wisps - honestly colors in itself could be a multipart boom ep, so imagine that game but with team sonic + amy, sticks, mighty, ray, and chip

the deadly six - team sonic discovers a magical conch, and upon blowing it, they gain the attention of some weird creatures. as it turns out, they somehow landed on bygone island and have to return to their home planet; lost hex

infinite and the jackal squad - a new punk squad starts causing a ruckus in bygone island, which eventually leads to a takeover. shadow finally starts taking maria’s advice and helps out with pushing them back down, though they end up joining eggman’s side

gadget - sonic gets a new big fan. hes weary at first, but learns that gadget isn’t as obsessive as the last one and that big fans don’t automatically mean they are creepy. its wholesome

Ranting About Boruto And Naruto...

Alot of Naruto fans, especially the older ones who remember watching this anime on TV, are not too happy about Boruto existing. And this isn't even about the character but as the story as a whole. I was one of those fans even before I finished the Naruto manga (anime is still unfinished). Even hearing the name was a strange concept and it didn't help that the name Boruto almost sounds like Naruto!

But Boruto as a character just pissed me off. Everything I heard about him irritated me to the highest level. A genius boy, living in a loving home, in a peaceful village and yet he was unsatisfied? He was so confident about him being the best and never having to truly train but yet thought that his father was useless? He does know that his father stopped the war almost single handedly right?

It got to the point whenever I talked about Naruto and someone brought up Boruto I kinda glossed over it and usually ended the conversation with a "I don't like overconfident op character straight out of the gate".

I couldn't understand why there was another series. How could you continue with this when Naruto himself achieved everything he wanted. How do you make a more sympathetic character than Naruto who was abused physically and mentally by everyone around him and this kid still had the balls to be overconfident while knowing that his dream was practically unachievable because everything was against him? HOW DO YOU TOP THAT?!

Byyyyyyy... making that kid be compared to his father over and over until he hates his father while loving him and looking up to him. It was to gain profits. Anything with the name Naruto usually will sell no problem so why should this be different.

I can say that I saw Boruto as a continuation of Naruto. And this, is the wrong mindset to have when getting into Boruto: Naruto Next Generation.

My gateway anime was Yu-Gi-Oh! I adored the plot and story line along with the interesting characters and their contributions to said story. And, when I heard about another series after the one i finished watching, I went into GX with the wrong mind set.

I saw GX as a continuing story from the YGO! World instead of it's own narrative. I watched it purely to see how Yugi was fairing. Was he devastated by Atem's absence and how was his friends now? Not for the story it was giving me. When I realized that it wasn't Yugi's story but someone else's I refused to continue watching.

Fast forward a few months I finally got into a different mindset. I saw GX as a stand alone tale from its predecessor about a boy named Jaden and his way and life through the antagonists around him. Watching the story without wanting to see Yugi's influence on this story, honestly made me kinda hate the first season since that was were most of the hints about the DM series showed up in.

Now GX is one of my favorite series through about the whole YGO! World. Closely followed by Arc-V.

Boruto is the GX of Naruto. It's a separate story about a boy who has to make his own name and leave his own mark in a world that his father before him made, which is kinda hard to do when the pressure of being the kid of the strongest ninja in the world is kinda weighing him down.

Most fans compare the two characters as if they are one persona. But here's the thing. Boruto and Naruto have their own stories.

Naruto grew up in hate. He, himself, hated. He grew up with different experiences and emotions than that of Boruto. He had no friends. Came home to an empty house. Didn't understand the idea of love. Family and friends were an unknown concept. Romantic love was an entire different ball of wax that he couldn't differentiate between since he'd never been shown it before. He played pranks to gain attention from anyone. He didn't want to be shouldered to the back of the herd. He may have had people he pulled pranks with but it more partners in crime. He didn't know where he came from. Why people hated him. Why he was alone.

His story was about becoming someone. He craves being noticed so he made his goal to be hokage. His story was about showing all those that scuffed at his dream that will power and precerverence was enough to achieve it. Hell he's still genin as the Hokage.

Narutos story was easy to understand. He was the underdog of society. Not even his own teammates wanted him or even believed in his dream. He wanted to be the best of the best and did so by ...bullshitting his way through because 9-Tails and prophecies. But basically at the end of Naruto he had everything. Found the love of his life, has two great kids (while possibly having a crisis because he doesn't see himself as a good father (which does not really help with boruto and his thing)), became hokage, essentially achieved god status, made his mom and dad proud, and took down 3 bad guys that tried to destroy the world with the help on his best friend.

Boruto... Boruto's tale is actually just as easy to understand and empathize as Naruto's.

I can say that theres one person in our lives that we get compared to. Hell for some there's more than 3. It could be a friend. A family member or even a co worker. And it sucks. Like fuck is it emotionally draining and psychologically breaking never hearing your name but as someones achievement.

"Naruto's son", "Son of Naruto's", "Hokage's offspring". God would that get annoying really fast.

Boruto's coming of age story is embracing that he is his father's son but also has his own title. That he's Boruto Uzumaki and his father's achievements are not his own.

Boruto reacts like all kids do when not being noticed as their own person (you guys forget that he is 12). But all his pranks aren't to get anyone's attention. It's to gain Naruto's attention. When he tries to cheat in the choujin exams he did it so that his dad could finally see him. He wanted to be known as his own person.

I don't want to say that he wanted to be seen as an adult because he still does want to be treated as a child and be doted upon. But being raised to hear all the stories that Naruto did, Boruto wants to make his own just as his father. Naruto has does some insane things at Boruto's age so Boruto wanting to do the same is not that hard to realize.

Honestly its refreshing to see the main character try not to be the best but just wants to float through life. It's like Borutos story is saying that you can be you and you don't have to become part of the crowd.

And I like Boruto and the hidden different themes that it brings while twisting around on past ones that haven't been exploring yet in the Naruto universe.

I don't see Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki as a twisted former Team 7 but as their own team that steps out in it's own shoes. Boruto isn't Naruto just like Mitsuki isn't Sasuke and Sarada isn't Sakura. Sarada's an actual character relative to the plot!

And the biggest difference in Boruto and Naruto is Naruto himself.

In Naruto, Naruto seems like the goofy dumbass kid in the back of the class that gets called out on for causing mischief. He's the kid that stares at the notes on the overhead and looks down at his own and wonders how the fuck does his notes have information on history when he's in Physics. He's the kid that doesn't know jack shit about the subject at hand but somehow passes all his classes just enough to make it to the next level. He's the one that's doesn't get dates no matter how hard he tries but has mountains of chocolate on Valentine's Day from multiple people he's help in passing. He's dumb as a brick but is some how on the top 10 list of hawtest guys in school, just barely winning against kakashi and sasuke.

Naruto in Boruto is entirely different. He's the goddamn soccer mom, bringing all the snacks and embarrassing his son as he screams from the stands with his daughter on his shoulders as she does the same and his wife tries to calm down both of them. He's the wise teacher in your school that says all the right life lessons at the right time and genuinely cares about each and every student. He's the friend you call last during an emergency, when no one else answers, and shows up with chocolate and warm hugs. He legit has a fucking sword go right through him, scaring the shit out of Sarada, and just pulls it out without flinching and laughs as it heals instantly when he sees Sarada almost hyperventilate.

So I like Boruto the anime and the character. Boruto himself has come along way from the first episode. And I really was invested in this character in the beginning.

Yeah I did loath him. Most of the time I had to walk away when he talked about his dad or told him off. Though I did route for him and agreed with a few of his shit.

Like Naruto not showing up for any of his kids birthday? Bad parenting. But I do get where Naruto was coming from.

I got Boruto (even if I didn't want to). He was more than a genius asshole. He loves his mother and his sister. He fights for his friends without hesitation. He faces the mantle his dad has and is ready to throw down at anyone who thinks he's anything less than he actually is. He's beyond ready to do some good and really wants to help, even if it's his father (especially if it's his father).

I legit laughed when he turned to Sarada and said her father was awesome. It was a nice callback to when Sarada said the same to him about his father and Boruto just called her crazy. Boruto was beyond endearing when he interacted with Sasuke (when his idol kicks his ass and tells him he's weak will forever be my favorite thing ever).

Yes Boruto is fast to judge other people's feelings about him. But that actually says more about how he views the people's thoughts about him. He sees himself as ...pointless. He's shackled by the mindset of having a parent that's a war hero. That every achievement and/or goal he puts his mind to is futile against the numerous badges Naruto has under his belt.

And I'm beyond hoping that this kid does some wicked shit that scares his father.

The pacing in Boruto is actually slightly better. Like instead of entire 5 arcs about a war. This series kinda shows you the bad guy and then just goes until a new one shows up. Though many others do like having a set bad guy from the beginning and the fact that Boruto has now killed two of the three bad guys introduced in the beginning 66 episodes through...is slightly bad. But at the same time Naruto didn't have a set bad guy in the first one so hey.

And this series has a long way to go. As of today it has 102 episodes. And I'm going to be reading the manga soon too.

All in all, Boruto doesn't really deserve all the hate that this series gets (I haven't even touched on my favorite characters).

I didn't like Hinata, still don't, but I adore their children. I still ship Naruto and Sasuke, Sakura and Ino, Naruto and Sakura, and Sai with Sakura/Naruro but I enjoy the interaction between the parents and their children. Its endearing.

I wouldn't have even watched this series if I wasn't so invested in Himawari. I love my sunrise child.

So here are some of the ideas I had for the AU, pfttt its such a mess and I’m still torn between a lot of things but here we go lol

So in in this AU each of the villages are on their own ARK as part of the Andromeda Initiative (same premise as the game), and I loved the idea of Jinchuriki’s being Pathfinders and their tailed beasts being their “SAM” (so Gaara’s SAM is called SHUKAKU, Naruto’s is KURAMA, etc.)

Naruto’s side of the AU:

Naruto received his “SAM” implant at a younger age than is expected of a Pathfinder (he was 18 i’m thinking?? Cause I cant imagine child Pathfinder’s bwhaha)

His story is going to parallel Ryder’s story from the game, so his parents were researching AI and advancing their given version of their “SAM” (so this changes Naruto’s story quite a bit, his parents didn’t die when he was born, however because they were so involved with their work he still had a pretty lonely childhood and caused trouble just like in the original series)

His dad is successful in creating a stronger and more advanced “SAM” than ones given to other ARKs, and the implant was given to Kushina who is Konoha’s Pathfinder 

I’m still fuzzy on the details here but basically the three of them are on a planet that was in the making of being habitable (it was thought to be semi-safe which is why Naruto is with them) when Something goes wrong and theres some sort of attack which fatally wounds his parents, Kushina transfers KURAMA over right before dying, making Naruto the new Pathfinder

Everyone on the Ark treated Naruto like shit because they were afraid of the power of AI, especially in the hands of a teenager, after all, Pathfinder Uzumaki could barely control it so how could this boy, they would always talk shit about wasted Pathfinder talent

After about 2 years of doing a good job at Pathfinding things and fighting Kett he starts gaining respect from his village

some random headcanons: 

Shikamaru will be his Second in Command

OR Shikamaru takes Bradley’s roll and Rock Lee is Second in Command

cause @jazthespazz totally tripped me up with Pathfinder Rock Lee who has no biotic power which would be fantastic cause he would totally kick ass as a Pathfinder!!!!

and still playing with the idea, but it would be cool if Naruto was able to do what Alec did for Cora in the novel and give Lee a piece of KURAMA (which would also be similar to in Naruto where he shares his powers in the final battle yeah??)

Sasuke…..okay so ive been kinda playing with the idea that the Uchiha Clan are like the Asari??? born with powerful biotic abilities???

Tsunade will be the head figure running the Ark

Gaara’s side of the AU:

So in this universe I super imagined the Sand Village being treated similar to how the Krogan are in ME. There was a rebellion or battle of some sort that caused their Ark to split from the Initiative, thus cutting them off from having access to Pathfinder AI technology

Gaara’s father is furious about it and devises a plan to steal information from the Initiative in order to create his own version of a SAM implant and because he’s a bag of dicks he experimented on Gaara

In order to enhance Gaara’s biotic abilities so that he’ll be prepared to handle having an implant, he uses a biotic enhancing drug called Red Sand (pfttt when I found out that that was an actual Thing in the ME universe I couldn’t resist fitting it into the story)

The drug is the reason behind his mental instability and being a crazy kiddo

For a few reasons (i cant decide which or maybe even all?) the implant does not agree with Gaara:

1) it’s built off stolen blueprints/instructions which may not even have been fully developed, 

2) well I mean, it is crappy knock-off SAM lol, 

3) SAM needs to be connected to the main Node to be fully functional??, and/or

4) because of all the Red Sand in his system it couldn’t properly “instal”

So now he’s even stronger and still raging like he did in Naruto

Until he runs into Naruto and Pals down on a planet~

And I don’t really have a fixed idea for this but basically they duke it out in a huge battle, and Naruto, with the help of KURAMA, is able to fix the problem (KURAMA maybe syncs Gaara’s implant or something??? Or gives it an update pftshs)

So Gaara finally calms the fuck down, and spends the next few years helping settle his village on a habitable planet

He’s the first Pathfinder to completely stabilize a planet and makes it a Home planet for his village, they welcome other Arks peacefully, and help whenever another village requires it

Temari is Gaara’s Second in Command

So yeah….that’s some of what I thought up for the AU, I have some more ideas but they’re scattered anD SPOILERS!!  There’s some stuff that happens closer to the end of the game that I have a great idea for bwhaha
