He also did come back to help Scott.

OH LETS GOOOOO this took me a while to answer because i have been formulating . i've been ideating. none of this will be a shock . but i have so much to say.

Favorite character: DEREK HALE completely unsurprisingly. Literally from season 1 episode 1. I love him so much.

Least Favorite character: THEO RAEKEN Even in my rewatch I didn't like him, which makes him okay as a villain but I don't even really like him as a villain. also started my teen wolf rewatch when i was rewatching pll and kept calling him mike.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): STEREK literally from day 1 also. The only fic i read for teen wolf is sterek. SCISAAC also from the first time i watched the show. there's something so special to me about scott and isaac together i love them so much STALIA i didn't actually like them together when i first watched the show but rewatching it??? holy shit. they were so so so so good for each other and it broke my heart when they broke up. one of the scenes in s5 where malia says she knows stiles had to kill one of the chimeras but 'it didn't matter' /didn't affect how much she cared about him so she didn't bring it up??? holy shit. that paired with 'i would never leave without you' GOD I LOVE MALIA TATE STYDIA spoilers for a show that ended in 2017 but i did in fact cry when they ended up together. dont forget i love you?? bitch im going to scream ALLYDIA i got one of my friends to start teen wolf and they sent me a message like midway through season 1 and said 'do people ship allison and lydia?" and the answer is yes. me. i'm people.

An unpopular opinion: I FUCKING LOVE SCOTT MCCALL . i know a lot of people dont! i understand! but i love him so much. scott is probably my second favorite character in the show. he is . chefs kiss. a lot of that also comes from loving tyler posey. + i am GENUINELY excited for the movie. I know most people are not! i am. if you ask yourself 'who asked for this movie?' the answer is tumblr user stilinskiderek. i asked.

My Canon OTP: STALIA not a ship that lasted but my favorite canon ship ever. i loved them together so so much and i missed their dynamic in season 6

My Non-canon OTP: SCISAAC HEAR ME OUT i know i have a sterek url i also love sterek BUT i think Scisaac could've been made canon so easily whereas sterek couldn't have. I GENUINELY think if Isaac was a female character he would've ended up with Scott. Their personalities worked so so well together and I really think they could've been canon!!!

Most Badass Character: DEREK HALE like for the sheer number of times this man has brushed death and survived. jesus CHRIST.

Most Epic Villain: VOID!STILES the other characters having to fight with a person they were FRIENDS WITH?? stiles is scott's BROTHER like holy SHIT. god. the emotional turmoil. dylan obrien killed it. the divine move is one of my favorite episodes of the entire show.

Pairing I am not a fan of: DRAEDEN it just felt...out of nowhere? and kind of weird? i think because season 4 was when hoechlin wasn't a series regular anymore so derek wasn't a key character in every episode it felt like their relationshp was super rushed and just. didn't fit either one of their characterizations.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): DEREK HALE i could talk about this until the cows come home. i think that derek was not treated with any sort of importance despite being a main character, and i don't think the literal trauma and abuse he suffered at the hands of kate argent was ever properly addressed. a lot of his actions and the way he treats people are obviously based in that experience but there was absolutely NO attempt at resolving it or even really acknowledging it. It should've been something, especially in season 4 with kate coming back, but it wasn't. i'm never going to not be mad about it. in that same vein, i think derek and isaac's relationship could've been way more impactful if the writers gave a fuck about derek. with the other hale betas in s2, jackson, erica, and boyd all have 'real'/biological families they can go home to. jackson's might not be great but he still has somewhere else to go. the only person isaac had was derek, which puts derek begrudgingly into this older brother/dad role for isaac that could've been incredible HAD THE WRITERS DONE ANYTHING WITH IT!! clearly isaac is living in the loft with derek but ?? that's all we ever get. what could've been a really great found family moment was absolutely nothing, and watching the scene in s3 where derek is terrified of the alpha pack coming for him TO THE POINT WHERE HE SENDS ISAAC AWAY TO KEEP ISAAC SAFE makes me so mad because if that relationship had been developed that scene would've been even MORE heartbreaking. isaac is being sent away by the only person he has in the world and that hurts but derek should've also been hurting because he's trying to protect this kid he took in but he can't explain it to him and i just. it could've been the bella/charlie scene in twilight but it wasn't!!!

Favourite Friendship: SCOTT/STILES stiles has scott's back through literally everything and god the scene in motel california with the flare breaks me every single time.

Character I most identify with: LYDIA okay this was hard for me to answer because i identify with a lot of them but in different ways?? then i remembered one time my friend sophie asked me to pick a teen wolf sun/moon/rising sign which i think fits this question. my rising sign is Scott, my moon sign is Lydia, and my rising sign is Malia. I think out of all of them I identify the most with Lydia!! i love her.

Character I wish I could be: DANNY I just want to be adjacent to all of the chaos and observe from afar. the way he knew about the werewolves because nobody can whisper in beacon hills is so special to me. i also love that he's the singular side character who was not made supernatural and did not die, just vibed the entire time.

Proof that Claudia beat Stiles repeatedly? / His memory in Required Reading. It’s the very same episode in which Lydia remembers her grandmother bleeding to death and Scott that his dog got attacked. Honestly, did you even watch the actual show? Or you are too busy trying to crawl out of Scott’s ass and painting Scott as a rape victim like Derek canonically is or a victim of domestic violence like Stiles and Isaac canonically are to deflect criticism and justify Scott’s abusive actions/behavior?

Okay, hear me out... what if Scott hadn't been bitten?

I love Scott, you love Scott, we all love Scott. There wasn't a single character like him on the show, but I find myself sometimes thinking what if Scott had put his foot down and not gone into the preserve with Stiles? Or, what if they had gone out there, but the Sheriff had found the both.

Who would be the titular Teen Wolf?

How 'bout Danny? Slinking around in a preserve to look for a dead body would be something that a rich brat would do, but Jackson doesn't do anything by himself, so he naturally dragged Danny with him. Or maybe Danny's with him because he's avoiding his parents trying to show him love and affection or something. Either way, they're out in the preserve and they get separated (maybe Jackson is picked up by the Sheriff's Department) and Danny is trying to find his way out when he's attacked and bitten by Peter.

Now, we all know Jackson isn't the type to really care about other people, even his best friend, to the point of identifying lycanthropy based on his friend's suddenly superhuman skills (he'd probably get jealous, actually) , but you know who would notice?

That's right! Scott!

In this "what if" scenario, Scott was aware of Deaton being a druid, and was maybe his apprentice or something. But Scott is still Scott, werewolf or not (ha! I was a poet, and I didn't even know I was rhyming those words) and can't just let Danny suffer through this alone with no idea of what's going on, or let Peter have his way. So, he puts his druid training to good use and helps Danny at every opportunity.

"But druids are supposed to be neutral!" People will cry.

Which is why I put forth the idea that, since Scott can't just sit there and do nothing, he's no longer a druid, though he would still study under Deaton, but now he's at curandero, a healer and cunning person of Latin America.

Amazing, right?! Between him and Danny we could explore both Hawai'ian native culture and Mexican-American culture. I mean, personally, I would have loved to have seen Scott celebrating Dia de Muertos.

And, of course, because of their close working relationship, they develop feelings for each other, and maybe that closeness would inspire some jealousy in Stiles (and Jackson) and suspicion in Allison as to why Scott is always ditching her to hang out with Danny. Maybe have the Alpha Pack start to come in sooner, with Danny dating Ethan and Scott being both jealous and apprehensive because of the twin's allegiance.

But in the end, Scanny would win, because I said so!

Oh, but I'm also a Scisaac shipper, so I could see this whole situation playing out with Isaac as well. Maybe he's in the preserve to escape his dad for a bit, or maybe Peter wanders into the cemetery when Isaac is there by himself, and Scott, after sussing out that Isaac is a werewolf, does his best to educate him and keep him out of Peter's clutches and plans.

Ooooh! So many possibilities.

I come from the Teen Wolf fandom, where everything is blue balls and fanservice, so I am LIVING for Queliot.

You don’t understand. Sterek isn’t even my OTP (I live in Rare Pair Hell with Stackson and Scisaac), but I truly believe it’d be possible to pull off a six season slow burn for Stiles and Derek with them getting together after Stiles turns 18.

The fact that The Magicians isn’t fucking around with Quentin and Eliot is mind blowing for me. The show could have left it at “drunken mistake” in s1, back when Q was in love with Alice. They could have pulled a “Mosaic will forever be an AU.” BUT THEY DIDNT. They are going full steam ahead with romantic-love confessions. They got Q saying he loved Alice. They are doing everything in their power to really give this an endgame vibe for s4.

Eliot’s most traumatic memory should have been killing Mike. It’s something other shows would have leaned on. Solving the puzzle could have made a nod to Queliot before proceeding down the most repressed experience Eliot ever had in canon. BUT NO. The writers went completely left field into “there was a conversation left out in the Mosaic episode that makes Queliot MORE REAL and the FEELS ARE SO EXTRAORDINARY they are the solution to the puzzle.” It’s like the writers got so invested in making Queliot endgame that they forgot about Mike (it’s not even on the chalkboard, which made me think it’s even moreso the solution but nope) and IM OKAY WITH THAT.

The world is burning but I got life right here in The Magicians fandom.

There is a lot of hate and fights in each Fandom so I decided to spend couple minutes to write down good stuff from it. Second to go: Teen Wolf Fandom.

Let’s start with the fact that you had new trailer for half an hour and it was already third most trending in tumblr. You are big and really really really passionate about it.

Fandom did you see your art? Holy fuck i can assure you all Sterek, Stydia, Stalia, Scira, Scisaac and Scallison (ships I can think of) art are amazing. All devoted artists… Just wow.

And fanfiction! Holy fuck Fandom did see how many od those you have?! You are amazingly talented and I’m jealous, because I just want to put all of you in different fandoms so you can share your talent.

Your love for Derek Hale and Isaac Lahey. Honestly no matter who you ship I did not met a person who would truly hate any of these two.

You remember the one who fall, Fandom, and that’s important. And I’m not talking only about Allison, but also about Boyd, Erica and Aiden.

Your love for Coach and Danny. I didn’t know minor characters could mean so much to sp many people.

Hate blogs. Okay that should not be a good thing but the fact that so many of you are devoted to this fandom enough to hate it for eternity instead of simply giving up is amazing.

Kira was amazing female character and not only Scott's love interest as it seem to be at the beginning and your fight for this girl who was send away for some stupid reason is outstanding. You do not forgot those who left and you fight for them.

Ships. You have so many of them. So. Many. You can be happy for Canon ones too, because almost everyone hook up with someone at some point.

Sterek Fandom. Holy hell. You didn’t have too many scenes and you became the most known (or second in command, not sure how it is right now) ship in this fandom. Also dealing with this UST is really tiring, am I right?

Stydia - you’ve waited for your ship to be together since… Episode one probably,and I’m really proud that you had opportunity to see them together.

You have amazing cast and holy heck aren’t they all hot as fuck? No matter your gender or sexuality you will have crush on someone there, that’s guaranteed.

I don’t need to justify why I watch a show, or why I stop watching a show, or why I don’t like a show anymore. And, believe me, if the PR machine for Downtown Abbey had spent a few years hinting that the Fire Nation was going to attack, then you can bet I’d be annoyed when it didn’t happen.

It’s funny. Nyx is all about representation for POC (well, for Tyler Posey), but when it comes to queer representation suddenly that’s not important?

You're basically saying that TW stole a bunch of tropes commonly used by Stereks in their romantic Sterek fics, and in the next breath blaming Sterek fans for leaving when it became evident tptb had no intention of exploring their relationship. Viewers have no obligation to continue watching a show they feel no attachment to, and contrary to Posey's statement, I don't think there is any right or wrong reason to watch a show. You also say that the baiting/encouragement by actors, tptb etc 1/-

Posey has always referred to TW as “his own show” - ex: the cast interview with Cody C. and Dylan Sprayerry in which Posey states that shipping non canon pairing doesn’t make any sense and it’s incredibly offensive and disrespectful towards the writer, the producers and everyone involved in “his show” - and he also became a producer, so… Why did Posey never address what HIS show have done to Arden/Kira? He simply said that “Scott doesn’t need a love interest in order to be interesting” instead

You are picking and choosing from interviews to supplement your agenda.

TPTB aren’t a monolith, either - they are a group of writers, producers, and actors who all have to answer to someone else (MTV), even Jeff Davis. Collectively, have their own agenda, their own plans for the story as a work of narration, and the show as a production. They have to react and take into account the fanbase - but that does not mean that fans get to dictate the show, either. They also regularly disagree with each other, have no idea what the central narrative will be, or sometimes just aren’t in constant communication with each other.

Queerbaiting, generally speaking, is a shitty thing to do. Especially on a show that also, already, has queer characters. On that, we agree. And I don’t know how you got “benign and innocuous” out of “they were doing their jobs”. You are, again, trying to put words into my metaphorical mouth to make a strawman argument.

And you’re right, we are going to disagree on most of the rest.

There is a world of difference between watching the show because you like a side character, and waiting for that side character to supplant the main character as the star of the show. There is a world of difference between hoping for a ship and expecting a ship.

There is also a world of difference between “listening to fandom” and “bowing down to fandom”. By and large, the producers and actors of the show were listening. They were not obeying, they never had to, and they never should have had to.

As for the actors, there is also a world of difference between “I’d be down to play this” and “this is probably going to happen”. There is a world of difference between “I have some ideas for this dynamic” and “I want these two characters to hook up/end up together”. It’s that element of picking and choosing again. Take Hoechlin’s idea for how the Darach confrontation in Derek’s loft could’ve gone - his idea was for a platonic interaction between two characters who he refers to as friends and partners in crime. Fandom took it as a shipping scene. This is probably the force that also leads to people seeing so many “Sterek questions” in interviews and panels that they forget - or never see in the first place - things like questions about Stydia, or other ships, or other character arcs unrelated to shipping at all.

The conversation was about Kate, and Stiles didn’t particularly care about Derek in that scene, or in that season as a whole. Mentioning a piece of information provided by Derek was still about Kate.

I also really hate to break this to you, but Posey’s promotion doesn’t actually give him much sway over the decisions made about the show, just how those decisions are carried out. Equating the star of a show referring to said show as “theirs” and equating it with production power is a strawman argument - you are ascribing power and influence that Posey does not have to him, then blaming him for not using it, and for not putting his career on the line to speak more openly about the problems of the show.

It would ultimately achieve nothing and fix nothing - remember, racism isn’t just about individual shows, but also about the broader industry, and bias against WOC is rampant in Hollywood, MTV and otherwise. Look at fucking Hawaii 5-0 - if Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park could not get parity on a show whose ensemble they have been a part of since the very beginning of the show, what was Posey going to accomplish for himself or for Cho?

Especially given that he’s facing some tremendous cuts, himself - as a lot of people have pointed out, Scott practically became a side character on his own show in Season 6 to make room for Stydia, and this is with Posey having a production component in the show that was not there in the earlier seasons.

Goodbye Teen Wolf

Goes on instagram Sees Teen Wolf photos The cake Wrap on the 100th and last episode Cries I am not ready to say goodbye to this show that has done so much for me. I love it more than any other show. I watch it no matter how I'm feeling; sad, happy, stressed, upset, if I'm having a bad anxiety day... I watch teen wolf. I watch the bloopers. I was cast videos on youtube. It also made me cry so much it's ridiculous (happy and sad) but that's just how good the show is. It makes you connect to the characters and the show. I loved watching it-the characters, actors and story lines-grow. I absolutely love Scott and Stiles' brotherhood. Every characters growth and character development was amazing to see. I cried at every death. I had to get up and take a walk after Allison's and sobbed during Aiden's! I loved every character so much and they all taught me something and have a special place with me. I loved the introduction of Isaac, Erica, Malia, Liam, Parrish, the Twins, Mason, Corey and SO many others. I miss Jackson, Danny, Derek, Ethan, Kira and those who died. Stiles was always my favourite. Will always be my favourite. Well, the jeep is pretty great too ;) I've seen all the "old pack" "new pack" conflict. It is one pack and I love it. It just changed over time. I do miss the season 1 and 2 'cliche' of Scott, Stiles, Allison, Jackson, Lydia, Derek, Isaac... But loved the growth bringing in Kira, Malia, Liam, Mason, Corey because they are equally valid and amazing characters. I absolutely loved Malia. Acknowledging her time as a coyote and that she would need time to adjust and understand. Then seeing that change and growth happen. Even though I wasn't necessarily a shipper of stalia I find that a very important relationship for Stiles and Malia for where they were and what they needed. They were perfect for each other. I will always be conflicted between scallison and skira because they were equally important. I'll stick with Scisaac ;) But to be honest, my favourite 'ships' will always be the friendships. This show was about pack and friends and family. The brotherhood between Scott and Stiles. The parents (especially seen at the end of 3a). I always loved Scott and Melissa and the Sheriff and Stiles really pulled my heart strings. Bringing Cora in and seeing her and Derek and that sibling bond (loved Adelaide so much I watched Reign). Girl power ;) Allison and Lydia, Allison and Kira, Lydia and Malia... As much as I miss Allison, her death scene-while destroying me-was so perfectly written and just so Allison. I do have to ask, why Stiles?! Season 3b was torture for me. Then s6a as well? I love the bad guys as well. Peter was great and I, sadly, have a soft spot for the evil uncle and want to defend his evil-ness. The return of Deucalion, amazing. Theo, the little shit, but perfect. I will never like Gerard, though. He was truly the worst. I've said so much already and there is so much more I could say. I just love this show. I know it's not perfect, but what is? It's perfect enough for me. It's amazing and such a big part of my teenage years. The cast and crew just seem like such amazing and positive people. Thank you Jeff for giving us this and good luck to the cast and crew for future endeavours, you'll be amazing! I'm not ready to say goodbye...

Teen wolf?

favorite male character: Scott McCall, obviously, and to this day there are people who are still really really mad that I liked the protagonist of the show.

I really loved Mason, too. I'm pretty sure that's where Jeff Davis channeled everything he wanted to give to Danny but "couldn't" because of his beef with Colton and the latter's exit from the show.

favorite female character: Oh, boy... that's a toss up between Kira and Lydia. I loved Kira from the word go, but I also loved the growth that Lydia went through, so I'm torn.

least favorite character: I have two answers for this. Narratively speaking, I'm gonna have to go with Jackson. I never really got over his douchdbag attitude and then he disappeared just as the show started to delve into his past and possibilities (I'm utterly convinced that he was supposed to be Peter's kid and that they had to rearrange things after Colton bounced.)

Just from a "I dislike them" standpoint we have Stiles. Not because he was a bad character (he was a great foil to Scott, they balanced out eachother very well) or because of any of the stuff he did ("Some of us are human!"), but because the fandom kept trying to convince everyone (even themselves) that he was the best character ever and that the show should have been about him. Whenever fandom tells me that this is "the best character ever" I immediately take a step back and am way more critical of them.

prettiest character: well this is just unfair, because have you looked at that cast? They're all ridiculously gorgeous. It was like watching something on The CW. Its impossible to choose just one, because I'd say Kira, but then I think of Danny, and then I think of Isaac and then I think of Boyd, and then I think of Scott and then... well, you get the idea.

funniest character: I don't think there was any just one funny character, because they all had their moments, particularly Scott and Stiles when they were together. Or when Ken very loudly gave Kira that research "for that boy you like" right in front of Scott, or Malia not understanding modern stuff, or Isaac's and Boyd's sarcasm. Oh, and let's not forget Peter's disney villain voice in 3B ("The huntress and the banshee." Seriously, what the hell was that?)This show may have lacked a bit in terms of plot cohesion, but it was pretty good with the humor.

favorite season: truth be told I liked at least something about all the seasons, but I'm going to have to go with season two. That was the last time there felt like any kind of actual thought went into the whole season rather than just an episode-by-episode basis, where the writers had no idea where they wanted to end it. Season five was pretty good, too. Not just because Theo managed to do what nobody else did before him: break up the back, but because the two halves felt connected by the plot as opposed to seasons 3A and 3B, and 6A and 6B being completely separate plots each time.

However, I will say that season six sucked balls. The first half being entirely focused on a character that wasn't there because their actor chose to go do something else, and the second half just devoted to senseless violence and to killing off characters for shock value.

favorite episode: Master Plan. We got to see what a brilliant strategist our lead was, and I loved it.

The Overlooked was one I just have fun watching again and again, with our heroes trapped in an abandoned hospital in the middle of a raging storm. It was just a fun episode.

favorite romantic ship: this is one of the few shows where I actually liked most of the canon ships. I loved Scallison, and then Scira. Stiles and Malia were great together and I would have loved to have seen what could have been between Lydia and Jackson before the latter's departure. Derek and Braeden... wish we could have seen more of them. Mason and Corey were adorable, as were Liam and Hayden.

And, of course, I have my crack ships that I would have loved, Scisaac ("Dude, I love Mexican") or Scanny ("Its Armani"/"Its nice."), or Scalia.

favorite friend ship: this might come as a surprise to people, but I really liked the dynamic between Scott and Stiles. They completed eachother perfectly, and that was how they were able to outsmart so many of these diabolical villains. Also, Liam and Mason being this cool combination of the Scott/Stiles and Jackson/Danny friendships was cool.

favorite family ship: the McCall Pack

worst ship: St*r*k, obviously. I've made my opinions on that pretty clear. I wasn't a fan of the whole Allison and Isaac thing, either. I feel like that was shoved in there to compensate for the unintended Scisaac feels as well as to capitalize on the fact that I believe Crystal and Daniel were dating at the time. Also, not going to lie, I wasn't a dan of the Stiles/Lydia and Scott/Malia stuff in the final two seasons.
