My once in a blue moon Star Stable post lmao... I wanted to reconstruct the flags in Fort Pinta into a simple graphic to use in other stuff, I don’t know if this is just the flag of the Fort Pinta area or Jorvik as a whole, though they’re on the little dressage hut thingies too so I’m inclined to believe it’s the Jorvegian national flag? Idk, probably lol. Thought I might as well post it on here so anyone else can use it if they want to :)

After all the grief they put their publishing and artists through, you really have sank low with this one, huh? Here's me thinking the candle was bad.

so the early game of SSO is a huge mess now. full of inconsistencies, and now you can do some quests out of order because they stopped locking some quests behind others I think, which they need to start doing again. they just throw all the quests at you at once which is extremely overwhelming (if I was a brand new player, I would not know what to do with all that)

I really feel like it isn't that big of an ask for someone to at least play through the early game and fix the story inconsistencies. for example, at the druid meeting in the secret stone circle, it's said that Anne hasn't been seen in 2 months after she disappeared at a dressage competition. but since they made it so that you meet the soul riders at moorland in the very beginning, it may have only been a few days since the player last saw her.

not that i disagree that a more alt country lisa would've been cool but some of y'all i think forget that og starshine legacy lisa was wearing khakis and a cropped blue hoodie... she's about as punk in that game as a gym teacher. star academy lisa and starshine legacy lisa r not the same and i would argue that star academy lisa is like, a different lisa from starshine legacy lisa. not to split hairs but like if we r rly comparing the different lisas thru the ages starshine legacy lisa and current lisa are about the same level LOL

VIII. The Strength- Alex and Tin- Can

Eight card of the Jorvik inspired tarot series. Today (after a bit of a break- other duties kept me from posting)- Alex and Tin Can, as The Strength.

The Circle of Lightning, especially represented by the Lightning Rider, is a manifestation of Aideen's might. Strength card relates to power, energy and courage- themes that are definitely close to Alex Cloudmill- especially from perspective of her role in the Sisterhood. On the negative, the card deals with elements like abuse of power, weakness or disgrace- and those are reflected in the obstacles on Alex' way- either her impulsive character, weakness of being overprotective about her brother, or feelings of not fitting the Soul Rider role. Her path teaches her to use the energy of Lightning to strike evil, and defend the good with courage, but also gentleness.

Plus, the traditional lion depicted on the Strength card really reminded me of Tin- Can's vivid chestnut coat :DDD

i wanted to combine the designs of all the soul riders. including the concept arts (and star academy for lisa). im always imagining them as something between the designs of starshine and sso, so i thought i'd do something with it for once

What people think I mean when I say I miss the old SSO: 4 polygon graphics, low texture world map, janky animations and models, original character designs, honestly idk

What I actually mean: SSO's storyline before it went through several years of retcons and rewrites, deviating from the original Starshine Legacy games and Star Stable quests I played.

(So much has happened and it's been 10+ years since I started I don't remember the story anymore. What's the intro sequence say now? I know they redid the intro quests but not I'm spending $70ish rebuying (and replaying) the game. What quests have been removed that I still think are canon because how I would know they've been removed? What's even the story sequence anymore, I see people 'breaking the order' of quests on accident? Do people still do any Druid rep via druid training? Is there still rep grinding with closing Pandoric rifts with the shadow vacuum thing? What about those Pandoric Energy Reading dailies where you used the rune wand and it was kind of musical?? Do the Kallter get mentioned or are they 100% gone? I don't know and I shouldn't HAVE to make and buy a whole new account to find out and understand what is going on in the story!)

God I wish this game would be released as a Single Player Story game so it was a complete package when it was finished. Because I'm sure once the story is done and cleaned up it'll be okay, or at least on par with the Starshine Legacy games' storyline (which let's face it, were pretty bare bones, they didn't have much budget/resources to do much)

those of u who are staying on top of sso news, do we know what the "final confrontation" and all that means for the game? like is the main story soon going to be over and then we never get main story ever again? or is "preparing for the final" something that will take a few years? or are we fighting garnok soon but then we get a new story arc after that and the main story keeps going? did they say anything?
