remember in s1 e4 when sam wanted to go more subtle than holy water to try and flush out a demon on the plane? and then somewhere along the way between then and the end of the series they just started stabbing every demon to death either with Ruby's knife or the angel blade?? yeah wtf is up with that?

My true magnum opus.#I was originally going to do this gag as a 'alternate version of comic 155'#Then I realized that they have the 'Come back to Gusu with me' conversation twice. So here we are!#I did consider having WWX say 'I'm not going back to gusu with you' in the comic for the better plot accuracy.#I'm invoking the rule of silly by having Wei Wuxian read between the lines of 'Come back to Gusu with me'.#Because it does feel like a confession! It is a confession of 'I care about your safety and I worry for what may happen.'#It is also poorly articulated. You can't really blame WWX for reading into it as 'LWJ is just another person trying to control me.'#The relationship between them is not good! It is two parties who genuinely want to be closer with each other but cannot communicate it.#You can't really have what makes these two work so well as a dynamic without the past history of:#“Back then I really wanted to be your friend.” They are a *missed connection*!#WWX reaches out and LWJ rejects him. And now when LWJ reaches out it is WWX who pushes them apart.#It is a tragedy about the consequences of being out of tandem and realizing what you want far too late.#The momentum of WWX's downfall is far to fast to reverse now. #kagarts #rival silver #trainer kris #trainer ethan #trainer lyra #johto #pokemon gsc #pokemon hgss #I think it’s fascinating seeing so many interpretations of this bunch #on who is champion or what each of them do in postgame/timeskip scenarios #it’s really cool seeing so many variations of each like. hell yeah man #here’s a lot of factoids on designs sorry for the wall of text in advaaaaaance #lance picked silver’s main cape color and chose white so he would appear less intimidating and approachable when teaching kids about dragons #lugia matchy too for that dragon connection there #kris’ gear revolves around biking and the lil tassles were an attempt at suicune ribbons #she has aspects from all the lion dogs in her full fit (she gets a helmet and jet/boostpack)#channeling kamen rider and bomb rush cyberfunk/jet set radio to give her a more future vibe #ethan I personally wanted to channel the ken sugimori chill vibe of how he was drawn #very old school (college fit); with a bit of early age grunge #friend to all birds and does a bit of nature/wildlife photography (based on the hgss picture taking feature!)#also loves the pokeathlon #he gets a ho-oh pattern/colorset for his tracksuit #lyra in this interpretation is the champion and got to battle red #protag to protag communication happened and she wants to set a better example for trainers going forward #a great teacher who wants to encourage the next set of trainers to set out on their own journeys #she’ll be the champion until she has to pass that torch on #but she also cares for the ilex shrine as per family tradition (even taking that with her into her champion outfit! celebi dresssss :D)

I was immediately drawn to Marz I’m my first exocolonist playthrough mostly cause of her being the biggest kid and I loved that she was still considered pretty. Her whole thing with her augment kind of explaining some of why how she was how she was is so interesting to me.

(she also was kind of the worst as a child but what I adore about her is how much she can grow, also she actually likes it when you aren’t a yes man.)

I have an urge to do fun typography with exocolonist illustrations but my Adobe fonts weren’t loading on procreate and it’d probably be better just to use illustrator instead but I just kinda fave up for now.

I feel like being in the Port Mafia was bad for Dazai in the same way that being in the bath house was a bad thing for No-Face in Spirited Away.

Like…that scene towards the end of the movie where Chihiro takes No-Face to see Zeniba, and No-Face calms down and starts spinning and knitting, entirely peaceful? And No-Face decides to stay with her because it’s a better environment for him, one which won’t encourage his worst tendencies? That’s kind of what the agency is for Dazai. Dazai tends to reflect the people around him just as much as No-Face does—which is why I think being around Fyodor 24/7 in the current arc has not been a good thing for him, mentally speaking. But in the agency Dazai is surrounded by kind people, and he changes and becomes a bit better, just like Oda thought he would.

#this might be a connection other people have drawn already lol #but they really are rather similar characters right?#Mori said he saw himself in Dazai #but I kinda wonder if that’s because Dazai mirrors what’s around him.#unlike a large portion of the rest of the cast(especially the antagonists) Dazai doesn’t have high-minded motivations #and as Oda said he doesn’t care about morality.#which is very similar to No-Face—they’re both neutral entities who are primarily motivated by their connections to other people.#No-Face had Chihiro and Zeniba to pull him out of destructive cycles #while Dazai had Oda and the agency.#anyway don’t mind me it’s been a long week and I’m experiencing thoughts #...here's a cursed concept: Dazai rampaging through the PM like No-Face does on his way out of the bathhouse aksdfjksdfjks #throwing up all of his bad influences as he goes #or alternatively: dazai takes up knitting #bsd #bsd dazai #not art
