Little things I personally love to see in Durgetash ships (this is really just what I enjoy, not what I think needs to be there for it to be valid or anything)
Fearsexual Gortash. He’s gotta be a little worried for his life and horny about it. But also…
Conquestsexual Gortash. The idea of owning the thing he is afraid of? Very sexy to him. Definitely not indicative of…
Absolutely out of control parental issues. Leaning in heavy on his experiments with people on how far they would go for their children.
Durge having full blown religious crises over holding somebody’s hand with tenderness.
Fully taking the “I consent! But I don’t!” Meme energy into Bhaal being a constant present threat to their relationship.
Both of them having a truly monstrous streak. Even if they might be soft for each other, it never stops them being a nightmare for everybody else around them.
Both of them having complimentary but different genius, whatever that looks like. The surgeon and the engineer. The politician and the empathetic killer. The mechanic and the butcher. Whatever it is, they revel in sharing space as equally smart people.
Gortash having actual injuries from Durge. Maybe he actually needs that cane…
Durge having a really tender spot somewhere for Gortash that manifests in strange ways. What strange means can vary but I delight in a huge Dragonborn bringing him breakfast pastries as much as I delight in a cute Halfling leaving him body parts of patriars like a cat with a dead bird.

Kindest celebrities you’ve met?
Oou.
Kidd G (both times I met him, he’s been super sweet and the last time he let me and my friends have individual pictures and then a group photo - despite there being a big line).
Robert Englund
Ruby Soho (called me beautiful twice and had me BLUSHING. But also hugged me and we had a pretty good conversation right after she rushed through the man in front me LMAO)
Also the guy who was the tour drummer for Kidd G this last time. He liked my Motionless in White shirt and had a pretty cool Deftones shirt on and we talked about that for a bit lol
Robin Lord Taylor, he saw I was nervous because my psoriasis was really out at that point and he told me both him and his husband have it and he was super sweet

Batfam AU: Alfred Pennyworth never existed
When the Waynes die, Bruce is sent to a boarding school somewhere in Pakistan, under Headmaster al Ghul (Listen. Talia wanted an undercover gig. He was like- nawr, so, erm, he went undercover instead. Lil Tally is a menace.)
He comes back to Gotham at eighteen, without training because Ra’s don’t want his daughter anywhere near this idiot rich kid with trauma. Bruce was a bad kid in school.
Dick Grayson’s parents die that day in the circus, Bruce was too busy getting drunk off his ass with Harvey.
Dick stays with Haly’s, eventually getting a new team to trapeze with.
The Court of Owls still goes after him when he’s a little older, and I apologize to the Talon!Dick haters, but Alfred’s not here to set the chain of events to stop it.
Jason doesn’t steal the tires off the Batmobile (Bcuz there isn’t one), and, y’all are going to hate me, but, erm, street kids usually end up picked up by a gang at some point, and for the Irony, it’s Roman Sionis. He quickly works his way up the ranks.
Tim’s put in an orphanage (it’s Gotham, doesn’t matter if they’re rich or not, it’s probably Ma Gunn’s tbh)
He never falls into any dangerous hobbies, but he also doesn’t get good education unless the city pays for it with the late Drakes’ money, but of course they don’t.
Justice League won’t touch Gotham, seeing as how bad the crime is now that the Waynes aren’t there to provide funding for the few good things in Gotham.
Leslie’s clinic is still a big part of the Narrows, eventually expanding to free boarding for homeless kids (after Jason’s already off the streets) and a well known emergency service all across Gotham.
Do I even need to say it? Damian doesn’t exist. Neither does the Joker, etc. HOWEVER, unfortunately, all the rogues that would have become rogues even without Batman’s existence (or Bruce Wayne’s involvement) would still become rogues.
Stephanie succeeds in fighting off her dad, eventually becoming the first vigilante of Gotham, still Spoiler. (She doesn’t have the training from Bruce though, obvi)
Cass runs off from David and Sandra, tries to work with society without the help of the Batfam

Plan A or B
I know this sounds naive or like wishful thinking but I think Biden’s retirement mid- term was always part of the plan. It’s logical AND vengeful.
Assuming Biden went the full term, where would that leave Harris? A standalone hopeful who’d ne’er get elected. This way, he crowns the first female prez, the first black female prez. She’ll have 2 yrs of experience before the election
Ppl are used to Trumps making decisions based on how he feels. But Biden is an old school politician. He works his way ito getting what he wants. Look at what he was able to get done despite Repub resistance — increasing Covid response, student loan forgiveness, etc.
His kids. His son beau died of cancer and — as VP — Biden thought he’d need to get a second mortgage to pay Beaus medical bills. Hunter Biden is going to jail while Eric Trump steals from a cancer charity and walks free. This act screws over republicans who aren’t known for their imaginations. I think he enjoyed watching them be caught flat-footed. Note that it didn’t happen until Trump was a sure thing as Repub candidate.
He didn’t want to run again. He’d run as a prez candidate 3x and VP 2x. 1/2 a term would be perfect. He was done. He would have done it tho if it stopped Trump from getting re-elected.
All the unpopular choices Biden made will be Biden’s fault not Harris’.

There are people – some in my own Party – who think that if you just give Donald Trump everything he wants, he’ll make an exception and spare you some of the harm. I’ll ignore the moral abdication of that position for just a second to say — almost none of those people have the experience with this President that I do. I once swallowed my pride to offer him what he values most — public praise on the Sunday news shows — in return for ventilators and N95 masks during the worst of the pandemic. We made a deal. And it turns out his promises were as broken as the BIPAP machines he sent us instead of ventilators. Going along to get along does not work – just ask the Trump-fearing red state Governors who are dealing with the same cuts that we are. I won’t be fooled twice.
I’ve been reflecting, these past four weeks, on two important parts of my life: my work helping to build the Illinois Holocaust Museum and the two times I’ve had the privilege of reciting the oath of office for Illinois Governor.
As some of you know, Skokie, Illinois once had one of the largest populations of Holocaust survivors anywhere in the world. In 1978, Nazis decided they wanted to march there.
The leaders of that march knew that the images of Swastika clad young men goose stepping down a peaceful suburban street would terrorize the local Jewish population – so many of whom had never recovered from their time in German concentration camps.
The prospect of that march sparked a legal fight that went all the way to the Supreme Court. It was a Jewish lawyer from the ACLU who argued the case for the Nazis – contending that even the most hateful of speech was protected under the first amendment.
As an American and a Jew, I find it difficult to resolve my feelings around that Supreme Court case – but I am grateful that the prospect of Nazis marching in their streets spurred the survivors and other Skokie residents to act. They joined together to form the Holocaust Memorial Foundation and built the first Illinois Holocaust Museum in a storefront in 1981 – a small but important forerunner to the one I helped build thirty years later.
I do not invoke the specter of Nazis lightly. But I know the history intimately — and have spent more time than probably anyone in this room with people who survived the Holocaust. Here’s what I’ve learned – the root that tears apart your house’s foundation begins as a seed – a seed of distrust and hate and blame.
The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe a lifetime ago didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.
I’m watching with a foreboding dread what is happening in our country right now. A president who watches a plane go down in the Potomac – and suggests — without facts or findings — that a diversity hire is responsible for the crash. Or the Missouri Attorney General who just sued Starbucks – arguing that consumers pay higher prices for their coffee because the baristas are too “female” and “nonwhite.” The authoritarian playbook is laid bare here: They point to a group of people who don’t look like you and tell you to blame them for your problems.
I just have one question: What comes next? After we’ve discriminated against, deported or disparaged all the immigrants and the gay and lesbian and transgender people, the developmentally disabled, the women and the minorities – once we’ve ostracized our neighbors and betrayed our friends – After that, when the problems we started with are still there staring us in the face – what comes next.
All the atrocities of human history lurk in the answer to that question. And if we don’t want to repeat history – then for God’s sake in this moment we better be strong enough to learn from it.
I swore the following oath on Abraham Lincoln’s Bible: “I do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of the United States, and the constitution of the state of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Governor .... according to the best of my ability.
My oath is to the Constitution of our state and of our country. We don’t have kings in America – and I don’t intend to bend the knee to one. I am not speaking up in service to my ambitions — but in deference to my obligations.
If you think I’m overreacting and sounding the alarm too soon, consider this:
It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic. All I’m saying is when the five-alarm fire starts to burn, every good person better be ready to man a post with a bucket of water if you want to stop it from raging out of control.
Those Illinois Nazis did end up holding their march in 1978 – just not in Skokie. After all the blowback from the case, they decided to march in Chicago instead. Only twenty of them showed up. But 2000 people came to counter protest. The Chicago Tribune reported that day that the “rally sputtered to an unspectacular end after ten minutes.” It was Illinoisans who smothered those embers before they could burn into a flame.
Tyranny requires your fear and your silence and your compliance. Democracy requires your courage. So gather your justice and humanity, Illinois, and do not let the “tragic spirit of despair” overcome us when our country needs us the most.

Hey. Your brain needs to de-frag. Literally it needs you to sit there and space out.
If you want your memory or executive function to improve, stare out a window at the skyline or sidewalk or trees or birds on the electrical wires for like 20+ minutes per day. (With no other stimulation like a podcast or TV if you can manage but hey baby steps innit). If you're fortunate enough to have safe outside with any bits of nature, go stare closely at a 1 meter square of grass and trip out on the bugs and shapes of grasses and stuff.
Literally this will make you smarter. Our brains HAVE TO HAVE this zone out time to do important stuff behind the scenes. This does not happen during sleep, it's something else.
That weird pressurized feeling you get sometimes might be your brain on no defrag.
Give your brain a Daily Dose Of De-Frag.

For those not in the know, this is one of the Amanita mushrooms referred to as a Destroying Angel. Never, ever, ever, ever forage with an app. Especially for mushrooms.
