I believe I owe y'all another little sketchdump seeing as I haven't posted consistently in a while (and I apologize for that). I just haven't had a lot of time (or interest) in drawing lately. I've been focusing my time elsewhere, dealing with some personal stuff, falling head first into new fandoms that I'm too insecure to draw for (oh Trigun, why must u torment me so!!!! you know I cannot draw anything worthy of your brilliance!!) BUT I still try, now and again, I still stick pencil to paper (or tablet) and try out a few things here and there. Mostly backlog of Moomins doots and a pinch of Auri being precious!!! (in the process of setting up commissions, will likely post something about it within the next few weeks. Thinking of settling with OC's and fanart to start. we'll see)

redesigned the evil fellas and rewrote some of their lore,,

for any1 who cares, basically donella is now a healer / medic. when she and ulla found the eternal library, they still got into an argument but this time don wanted to go home because they found what they wanted to find while Ulla wanted to keep going deeper. accidents happen and ulla is cursed to stay in the library while don is cursed to stay out of it. don then dedicates her life to trying to get her bestie out of there. The curse also caused her to get a lazy eye plus a scar. Hugo used her scar eyebrow slit as inspiration for his own eyebrow slit. Most of the people who work for her are people she has healed / provides medicine.

her muscle for hire (cyrus) got a massive design overhaul bc i thought they both looked far too Evil. He works for Don because his brother is a bit ill and he cannot afford the meds normally, so he acquires them through don instead. I think hes a bit like laios from dungeon meshi in terms of personality, kinda goofy and well meaning. when he has to attack Varian and Co, hes like keeps apologizing because he feels bad hurting kids (hes like 30is).

Hugo comes to work w don bc of his arm (in me and my sister’s rewrite, hugo doesn’t have his left arm no more (blonde and no arm trope) ) and don is the one who made sure he didnt bleed out so he kinda owes her. also she helped to Make his arm. She tends to set him up with jobs here and there, before she sends him on the Eternal Library quest mostly to test his trust.

In terms of visual design, don gives people that weird metal wrist band to show other rogues and criminals that they are under her protection. She gave hugo one but he mistook it for a Strange hair tie and uses it as such. He uses a wrench to tighten it btws. anyways, don doesnt say anything about it because she dgaf.

uh sorry for the long ramble, i just have a many of thoughts about vat7k (specifically my ver) uh but yeah, i have more to say but just so the post isnt too long lmao (also funny snufkin doodle bc i was watching moomin)

Also here's some updates on the 2 weeks I was absent (and small explanations to some of my little doodles) under the read more

I finally got a doorknob that locks. Which I've been literally hoping to get for a really long time... I have a really fractured relationship with my sibling and I'm relieved I can finally leave my belongings in my room without fear that it'll get stolen the moment I'm out of the house. My girlfriend is finally home for the summer, he leaves late August (if I remember correctly) and him and I are very close to finishing college (we have about 2 years left). I'm just so glad he's finally home again, I really missed him!!!

The first 2 and the 4th doodle is from a drafted mini moomin comic I wrote up, I don't think I'll ever let it see the light of day but hopefully the little bits I post are fun! Sniff and Snufkin are the center of it, because it would be hilarious to see them have to work together in a serious situation lollll

Post-it note snufkin is a decoration for my mom's office, I sat in her office for my spring semester after classes (she works at a hospital 30 minutes away) so I drew a lottt of moomin post-its (I have a snufmin one too but I didn't take a picture)

I'm in some weird creative rut again, and emotionally I'm having some strange swings, so I'm just going with the flow for now. Posting will still be sporadic likely, but I'll try to keep up! Tumblr is the only social media app I've been posting on lately, it's just a lot less stressful/toxic on here than it is on Twitter or Instagram. sadly not since i have a full-time job, but I really appreciate the interest!! It wouldnt feel right accepting commissions without the reassurance of being able to set aside enough time to commit myself to them, not to mention balancing my hobby of making animations and 3D models. i'll definitely post an announcement on here if I reopen them again!! it's definitely not out of the question.

Ok, so I'll share two unpopular opinions that I have in regards to the Moomin fandom in general, and more specifically, the 2019 animated series, Moominvalley.

One is that I really don't care about Snufmin. Yeah, you heard me right. No matter the place or adaptation, Snufkin and Moomintroll are always paired up with each other, and I don't care about their relationship. Heck, they're not even my favorite characters of the series, which will be my second point, but they're quite popular as a couple here or anywhere else. Although, it may be just me, but I'm a niche parasite. I'm very fond of side characters that are seen once and never again, the characters who do not even get referenced after they appear for a single frame. The Moomins have plenty of characters like this.

As for Snufmin, they're the opposite of their niche, which means I'm not concerned about the nature of their relationship. You can read the most recent posts on Tumblr to see what other people think of the lack of queer representation in Season 4, and here are my two cents: You guys, ladies, non-binaries and all the LGBT+ people deserve better than breadcrumbs, but a supper is rare when it comes to canonical queer relationships, so I understand how you feel when you're given nothing in return.

But this rant isn't about Snufmin, oh no. Because, you see, this is about one of my favorite Moomin characters... and it's not Sniff, but today, I'll talk about Mrs. Fillyjonk and one aspect of her character that was denied in Moominvalley: Her motherhood. Mrs. Fillyjonk doesn't have children in this adaptation. They are their nieces, they even wear different clothing as if to say "hey look at us! We are related to Mrs. Fillyjonk but we are not her kids! You thought we would be, but no!", which... I don't like this change. It feels like it was done to justify why Mrs. Fillyjonk was on her own, but by doing so, they took away one part of her character that made her such an interesting figure.

In the comics, Mrs. Fillyjonk is established as a juxtaposition of the Moomin's. She is a no-nonsense ferret lady whose children all wear the same clothing and spend most of their time on study. Meanwhile, Moomin and his friends have their own identities and are playing around the valley, and Mrs. Fillyjonk is so devoted to showing others how a life led by duty is discipline is better to the point it gets ridiculous, as in, if your way of life is so much better than the Moomin's, then why do you feel the need to impress them all the time? Are you, or your children, happier than they are by living this way?

Someone probably wrote an in-depth rant about Mrs. Fillyjonk's character and how she is a joke trying to be taken seriously, but hey, I like her. As for her children, they don't have their own characters, they're just mini-Fillyjonks who sometimes get to talk and they exist to show that Mrs. Fillyjonk, despite her strict behavior, cares for someone that isn’t just herself. One of my favorite moments of the 1990 anime is Mrs. Fillyjonk worried about where her children might be and they're just fine. 

That motherhood is gone from the 2019 adaptation, and now they're their nieces. And they barely interact with each other. I guess the nieces appear for, like, two episodes, and that's it? Sure, you still have the dutiful, organized, anxious, methodical Mrs. Fillyjonk, but to take away her children took away a piece of her character that I could relate to.

Heck, she isn’t even concerned about her nieces and their well-being during the Comet finale. They are simply gone, like Emma, like Ninny, like… Oh yeah, isn’t it odd that Ninny only appeared for one episode and then never again? She doesn’t even get to be casually mentioned like Snufkin borrowing a sun oil from a certain Fire Spirit… I could write about that moment as well, but I’ll leave it for later, there's been too much disappointment already.

I've been heavily considering moving my account and starting over. This post will be very long so if you don't wanna read it that's fine (I'll add a tldr at the end)

I started this blog back when i loved sky and just wanted a specific place to talk about it. It took me YEARS to slowly realize that i don't have the same love for it like i used to. Ever since season of moomin was announced i thought of it as an opportunity to just take a break and only play the game if i genuinely want to, and not just for the purpose of getting candles. I wasn't really that excited for the season to begin with probably because i dont know anything about moomin and i know i can just learn about it through the season but ehh idk man. Just my personal opinion i already thought the first quest was super slow and tedious as hell

Also not to mention some big criticism within the community is how expensive things are in sky and i agree. I think they're right when they say iaps are getting more and more expensive (inflation amiright) and they keep locking the cooler items behind the pass. I know the pass (for 1 person) is generally pretty cheap for what you're getting but i just don't think it's fair for people who simply don't want to spend money. Majority of the good stuff this season is behind the pass and i know the purpose of this is to convince players to buy the pass but it's just. Man i would love to enjoy a season and buy cool clothes without having to pay real money for it AGAIN

And before you say "sky is a social game. No one is forcing to buy anything stop complaining", i know no one is forcing me to buy things, but it sure feels like it. I've already made an ENTIRE other blog about this complaint and you can probably go look for it but can you think of anything in sky that's fun without spending money? That doesn't include talking with friends (which BY THE WAY still costs money just to unlock chat if you didn't friend them with a qr like? Why tf do you need to SPEND MONEY just to talk to someone???) almost everything in the game needs money to be enjoyed. You can enjoy the story sure, but you can't express yourself in a way that doesn't require buying SOMETHING

Also why does sky have so many bugs all the time. There is not a single update where something wasn't fucked up in the making. I know sky isn't perfect and I'm nowhere near a game development professional but how do you even do that

Anyways.. i just want a tumblr blog to start over completely and gain an audience that isn't so restricted to one interest. I like art, and that's way more broad than just sky art only because i VERY VERY VERRYYY rarely draw sky art. I for some reason don't find it super enjoyable to draw skykids (unless I'm getting paid for it which is why the majority of my sky art are commissions lmao)

Just judging by the attention my blogs and art received on here, i assumed the algorithm was a lot better than other apps. I felt like maybe doing an oc blog too would be beneficial since its something i actually enjoy and WANT to talk about instead of just. Occasionally mentioning sky just to complain about it lmaoo

Moomin x JJBA AU - Intro post!

Hello!!!! I figured I should make a post about this, and probably some other aus too eventually…

(I’m gonna go ahead and put this under a cut cus it’ll be long, but even if you don’t care about the au I promise it’s not just words!!! I put silly drawings too!!!)

Alright! So this is an au where characters from jjba are like moomin characters! To clarify, they are still in their normal universe, with stands! (I may also do some spin offs in a no stands/ actually in moomin valley version of this au too!)

I’m calling this the “JOJOxter au” because all of the jojos are joxters :]

I’ll start with a list of each species + a brief explanation of traits / details!

(Note that I have made moomins / snorks roughly the same thing in this which is why there isn’t a section for moomins)

Joxters

Joxters are very cat like, in appearance and behavior. They tend to be very adventurous, though sometimes lazy by nature (though this is the general rule, there is of course exceptions to this!).

Physical traits can include: cat-like eyes (yellow sclera and cat pupils), retractable claws, sharp canine teeth, markings on the nose bridge, cat-like ears and tails, fur on various places of the body (hands, forearms, chest, legs, etc), and whiskers.

Mymbles

Mymbles are the most humanoid of the bunch. They can be anywhere from extremely short (like little my (from moomins) or diego (in my au), to extremely tall (like mymble mama or mista). Mymbles often have a love of chaos and general shenanigans. They are also known for having strong familial bonds. Mymbles are able to hibernate, and do so occasionally.

Physical traits can include: small horns with rounded ends, skinny tails, and sharp teeth.

Snufkins

Snufkin are a mix between Mymbles and joxters. They can show traits more similar to one or the other, be a perfect mix of the two, or even change from one to the other. As such a lot of their characteristics depend on the individual!

Physical traits can include: cat-like eyes (usually without the yellow sclera), tails, sharp teeth, pointy or claw-like nails, fur on various parts of the body, and whiskers.

Muddles

Muddles are generally known for being very emotional, or feeling one (or more) emotions very strongly. Usually anxiety or fear (moomin example is the muddler), but it can be any emotion(s). They often like to collect things, and get attached to or find comfort in their collection.

Physical traits can include: long floppy ears (like a rabbit’s), whiskers, long tails, fur on the legs, and large eyes.

Snorks

Snorks are very round looking creatures, known for being very soft! They are able to change the color of their fur based on their emotions. Snorks are known for being friendly or accommodating, but this is more due to general snork philosophy rather than a trait! They often have many hobbies, and are known to be very big on hibernating the winters away, though they don’t have to.

Physical traits can include: pointy ears, long tails with tufts of fur on the end, paw pads, and round faces

For context, this is how horses are drawn in the moomins (or at least *a* horse) and I thought it would be funny to draw them like that too!

So diego rides a normal sized horse in this, since having a small one would put him at a severe disadvantage in the race!

Five: the one you've been waiting for, about Moomintroll!!

It is so much fun to go on a rescue mission to find Moomintroll. The bittersweet beginning, with Moomintroll sad as Snufkin leaves for the winter, and Snufkin's dread when he returns in spring to havoc and no Moomintroll... mwah. Love it

Snufkin might love you, Moomin, but that doesn't mean pics of your body gone splat in the mud isn't absolutely getting posted on his Instagram

So in this game Moomintroll is pretty angelic. He doesn't have a bad word to say about anyone. It's nitpicking of me, but yeah, that take isn't for me. I like my hospitable, awkward, endlessly tolerant Moomins with a pinch of spice. Actually it's rather funny because so much of the game characterization seems to pick off the cartoon, but Snufkin and Moomintroll themselves are just so nicey-nice...? At least we spend enough time with Snufkin to hear him take a few digs at the other colorful characters lol.

I MISSED TAKING A CAP OF SNUFKIN FALLING ON HIS ASS that would have been perfect revenge too ugghh

Can't get over how cuuuute this is. If the whole game sucked, it would still have been worth it just for this ending haha. Btw I will definitely have a piggyback in a fic some day and this is the inspiration xP

I love how Snufkin's flower-covered hat blends right in with the flower bed when they're hiding teehee

So theme again. When Snufkin hurts his foot, he encourages Moomintroll to go on without him. But Moomintroll says no, we'll go together, hence piggyback. This is my favorite way the theme comes out, and not just because it's cute, but because it involves Moomintroll overtly offering to help and then really helping. Not needing to be coaxed and indulged or endured first. Yes, in the real world there are all types and we all need to get along. But Snufkin accepts nearly all help, talks to everyone kindly (much more kindly than they are to him!), and isn't even wrong when he tells Moomintroll to go on without him - neither does he make a fuss about going together anyway.

So what growth is he supposed to have here? He doesn't decide to not leave in winter anymore (and I certainly wouldn't want him to). The story is like "Snufkin learned something" and it's... that he should keep being friends with the people he's already friends with? Even though he never said he planned on doing otherwise...? Or are we just punishing him for daring to go on loner adventures period? Maybe a cut scene showing him running away from the Fillyjonk or avoiding parties or something would have helped frame things better, but as it is - I fully understand what the story wants to say, I just don't believe it actually says it.

Take this scene. In essence, I don't have a problem with it. But, since when does Snufkin kick people out of Moominvalley? More likely he's the one skedaddling... "But it's the Park Keeper!" So? In Moominsummer Madness he destroys the park but the Park Keeper still is the one with authority, so it's Snufkin who tries to leave. That's minor, though, what bugs me more is this "Moomins tolerate everyone!" bit. Of course it's not bad...! But Moomins definitely do not tolerate everyone and go to lengths to drive certain types away... Including potential romantic threats haha. This isn't a complaint, the game just goes in a different direction than what I prefer when it comes to Moomins. But Moomintroll is a little over the top, that's all I'm saying...

"He just dammed the river without asking and imprisoned all the animals and caused a forest fire... But I'm sure deep down he's a nice guy"

help I saw that on my dash like several times already enough is enough.. I think it might be partly a response to when someone called people who read those trashy tiktok romance novels "porn addicts" and then someone responded to that saying written erotica isn't the same as porn and going "porn addict" to someone for reading trashy romance novels is just odd. which like to be fair it literally isn't the same 😭 awful novels yeah and embarrassing too but it's not like porn doesn't cause real harm in the real world.. and this is a response to a different post I saw now that reminded me of this, but I think it's not smart to be like "well men in the 1800s didn't respect women either" Erm okay.. just because things aren't worse overall doesn't mean certain aspects haven't worsened or that new aspects of misogyny haven't risen from it like sure men were still misogynists before porn that doesn't mean there's no harm just because you believe the net difference isn't negative 😑 which I'm not saying that post was saying, just something I saw recently that its implications kind of reminded me of since overall on tumblr I've been seeing a lot of posts about porn that just kind of annoy me a bit because I think it usually just is missing some of tbe point.. and I don't say this to comment on the porn habits of the people who post these btw everyone on tumblr is like gay or something so whatever that's not what I'm caring about here but like yeah..

Okay SO.

I'm gonna elaborate in that I don't know what Tove's relationship to religion/Christianity is? I know she had a Jewish friend who had to flee the country in WW2 and she probably celebrated Easter and Christmas but otherwise I haven't read anything on her views of religion or what flavor of Christian she is, so I'm just going to base this entire post on what we see within the franchise and try not to speculate on what the Janssons believed.

But like, anyway, the subject of religion in Moomin is pretty subtle in that uhhhh

... maybe it's not too subtle... but I blame it on people not reading the books or comics and watching the 90s and 2019 series as it is almost clean of religious dialog or plot points except for, like, the existence of Christmas I guess.

And the existence of Christmas instead of, like, some unchristian equivalent to it in Moominland is telling in itself. What alot of people don't realize that despite all the magic and shenaniganery that happens in Moominvalley, Moominland is still a sort of.... slightly tweaked, absurdist portrait of the real world. In the books there are references to Mexico, America, Finland itself; Moomintroll mentions venetian curtains which implies the existence of Venice, Tarzan as a pop culture icon is referenced. In the comics the Moomins time travel to Wild West era southern USA, ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, they wanted to travel to 18th century France but they forgot to switch the location, there are references to Soviet Russia and Australia gets mentioned and the Moomins travel to a Mediterranean beach town which is basically a fusion of 2 real life Spanish towns down to the combined naming (Although Majorca also still exists??), brands like Old Smuggler's and Lyle's Gold Syrup and Maxwell House and Lipton get shown directly on the pages... so many other things... point is, Moomin isn't a fantasy world separated from the real one and with all of this you can't argue about alternate origins of the Christmas holiday, it just is there as it is celebrated in the real world.

In Comet in Moominland, Sniff name-drops the Moses of the Bible in reference to Snufkin being found in a basket like him and the kids have a conversation about how dangerous it was to send a baby down a river:

‘Haven’t you got a mother?’ asked Moomintroll looking very sorry for him.

‘I don’t know.’ said Snufkin. ‘They tell me I was found in a basket.’

‘Like Moses,’ said Sniff.

‘I like the story about Moses,’ said the Snork. ‘But I think his mother could have found a better way of saving him don’t you? The crocodiles might have eaten him up.’

‘They nearly ate us up,’ said Sniff.

‘Moses’ mother could have hidden him in a box with air-holes,’ said the Snork maiden.

‘That would have kept the crocodiles out.’

Mr. Hemulen begs the heavens to protect and preserve him:

‘Heaven protect me!’ gasped the Hemulen,

(...)

‘Oh, heaven preserve me!’ exclaimed the Hemulen,

In Finn Family Moomintroll, Muskrat makes more tangible references to Heaven:

(...) the Muskrat gloomily sucking his moustache. 'The earth can crack and fire come down from heaven for all I care (...)

(...)

'(...) Well, I hope the Muskrat heaven is a peaceful place, because I shan't be here much longer.'

In Moominpappa's Memoirs, the Ghost name-drops Hell:

"By all the Hounds of Hell," began the ghost,

In Moominsummer Madness Mymble Jr believes they're going to die and euphemistically mentions Heaven while Little My whines about having to go:

‘That’s the very least,’ replied the Mymble’s daughter. ‘Try to be good now if you can find the time, because in a little while we’re all going to heaven.’

‘Heaven?’ asked Little My. ‘Do we have to? And how does one get down again?’

Emma the Stage Rat says rest in peace for her late husband:

‘Really, thank goodness,’ she cried, ‘thank goodness that my beloved husband, Stage Manager Fillyjonk (mayherestinpeace) can’t see you all! You don’t know a thing about the theatre, that’s clear, less than nothing, not even the shadow of a thing!’

In Tales From Moominvalley, Mymble says My wouldn't go to heaven if she keeps swearing:

‘If you say things like that you’ll never go to heaven,’ the Mymble started instantly,

Snufkin euphemistically uses Heaven while telling the story about his mother's aunt;

Her wonderful belongings gave her no comfort. On the contrary, they only made her think of the day when she’d go to heaven and leave them all behind her

And Sniff echoes this twice;

[Snufkin said] '(...) feeling rather like a balloon, a happy balloon ready to fly away…’

‘To heaven,’ Sniff observed drily. ‘Now, listen…’

(...)

‘I know, I know,’ Sniff said crossly. ‘You’re exactly like Moomintroll. I know how it turned out. Then one evening she gave away her bed too and then she went off to heaven and was so happy, and the right thing for me to do is to give away not only Cedric but everything I have and then hand in my spade and bucket on top of it all!’

And of course, Tales From Moominvalley has the entire short story about Christmas.

Of course, I could be missing or forgetting alot from the books but it paints a very clear picture, I think. And then in the comics...

The use of words like sin and damned and religious exclamations are used alot throughout the comic, and I can't even show all the examples I have collected because of the picture limit, but it's there.

The Black Prophet in Moomin Begins a New Life uses religious language and quite literally lives in a place called Puritan Street, he claims that any form of enjoyment or self-satisfaction is sin, such as looking attractive or eating food you like, and that one must live life in according to one's duty and the betterment of society as opposed to the hedonist view of the White Prophet to abandon all law and order and do only what one pleases.

The plot of the Lars comic Sniff Goes Good founds itself in the event of Sniff having an implied nightmare about going to hell and takes it as a sign that he should morally correct himself.

Moominpappa kept using the word damn (and damned and the blazes) throughout Moomin and the Sea.

The strange thing about the comics is that it uses alot of religious exclamations but replaces God/Lord or Jesus with Edward the Booble which is a really fascinating implication about Boobles in this world but that's beside the point, Groke is also used for more negative exclamations. Just about the only time I remember a character using God/Lord in the comics is that panel of Moominmamma saying Oh Lordy as shown above, otherwise references to God or Jesus themselves are very much missing, I don't know if it's something to do with newspaper censors or what (I could swear there was maybe a cross or a reference to the Devil somewhere in the Lars comics but I can't remember where).

None of the characters seem explicitly religious, atleast with their language, there's no church in Moominvalley or crosses thrown about, which...

Makes the 1969 Moomin series and its reboot, New Moomin, absurdly funny.

As someone who has watched the subtitled episodes available for each series I can say that it is... hilarious whenever it pops up. The usage of Christianity in such a heavy-handed way throughout the shows is very amusing but also fascinating.

It's important to consider that these are a japanese production, and these days, Japan only 1% of the population is self-proclaimed Christian despite the celebration of Christmas and the Christian-style weddings they perform. I couldn't get exact data on Japanese religion in the 20th century but it's doubtful that Mushi Productions, the studio that made these shows and is based in Tokyo, was particularly influenced by the religious colonialism of western Japan (please correct me if I'm wrong, I know I'm not a historian but this stuff fascinates me).

The absurd presentation of these elements feel like it comes from a fascination with the religion than any tangible experience on how mundane, rural European Christians act or believe? Like it's kind of parodying it to get across the fact that this is supposed to be taking place in Europe? The praying, the constant references to Heaven (unrelated to death), Hell, God or the Devil, Snufkin and Moomintroll compelling the Hobgoblin with the Power of Christ, the church that was never in the source material, it's all a bit tacky and I love it??

This element is less present in New Moomin probably due to criticism but it's still very much there. It's probably one of the stranger bits of the series besides the violence of Moomin 1969, but like the rest of the adaptation it feels like it's done in earnest despite its lack of adherence to the source material.

...

All this to say, there's probably a Moomin Jesus who died for their Moomin sins in canon and that is still absurdly funny to think about in an abstract sense after all this time.

This is the AU you've all been waiting for (looking directly at you lil sis). I was reading through all the moomin books and other material that had gotten directly adapted for the 90s Moomin series (Muumilaakson tarinoita), and when I read the short story The Invisible Child from the book Tales from Moominvalley/The Invisible Child and other stories, where a little girl has turned invisible because of the emotional abuse inflicted on her by her aunt and has to learn to believe in herself again and to stand up to herself, I thought. Hmm. What if there was someone who would be pushed to the side by others, and also pushes themselves to the side because they believe that they are, themselves, wrong and undeserving, and believe that it would be for the best for them to disappear, and then they do, and people around them have to learn about forgiveness not for the other person, but for themselves, and the person has to learn to also accept the forgiveness and forgive themselves in order to turn visible again?

So yeah, this is post-Umbara Dogma stays with the 501st and they have. a lot of issues. I don't have a lot written yet, but here's a very short snippet!

Dogma stared at himself in the mirror. Or he would have, if there was something in the mirror to see. He lunged towards it, pressed himself right against it, but still, there was nothing. The mirror stayed empty. With his heart in his throat, Dogma looked down at himself. His legs started to shake again, but this time from relief and not from fear, because at least he was still there. Or was he? A sudden, horrible thought cut his relief short. He had been relieved earlier, too, about how no one had glared at him or said anything when he had been forced to pass them by, because at least that had been better than glared and words, but now- -now Dogma was wondering if anyone had even seen him there at all.
