Oh no, totally understandable! I only said it because I sometimes think of some Targs as Visenya's descendants, forgetting for a moment that she doesn't actually have any. Something feels natural about calling Rhaenyra, Daenerys, and even Stannis "Visenya's descendants".
I do lean more towards liking that her line ended. Makes her feel more...unique, I guess? A matriarch of her dynasty, yet none can claim her as a foremother. This, along with there being no other Visenya Targaryen, makes her fame entirely her own. Unshared by anyone else in her line. (The only exception being the one son she chose to create to stabilize what she had helped build.)
Like there are many Targaryens who can (and do) say, "I am the blood of Aegon the Conqueror, I have his crown, his sword, and his name" to legitimize their reign. Even those who may be nothing like Aegon, who don't share his values or anything close to his accomplishments.
The only way to share a tiny spot in Visenya's legacy is to be like Visenya. To wield the sword she left behind as she would have. To be worthy of claiming dragon she rode. To share her values, to conduct yourself the way she did. It means sharing both the fame and the infamy.
This prevents Visenya from being watered down, white washed, or used as a shallow tool for somone else's personal gain. It keeps everything she was a little purer, because the few individuals who one might truly consider her "descendants" are those Visenya herself might have respected.
And that's pretty cool.

having a child has taught me that every toddler is completely justified in their frustrations and tantrums because learning how to do something you have literally never encountered or heard of before is insane. and being expected to be completely calm in the face of this constant barrage of overwhelming information is doubly insane.
i got charlie a sticker activity book and it occurred to me i have to TEACH someone how to unpeel stickers. it's SKILL that requires DEXTERITY and FINE MOTOR ABILITY. i thought it was obvious that you have to curl the page a little bit to create a break in the cut so the sticker comes up.
obviously a fucking BABY wouldn't know that because they have no background experience to inform their thought process. OBVIOUSLY. and OBVIOUSLY the LITERAL BABY wouldn't get it right the first few times. it would OBVIOUSLY take practice. lots of it.
i hate this feeling. it's so obvious. why are children treated so badly when they're learning everything for the first fucking time. why do people treat children so horribly and expect so much. they're brand new. why didn't i get the same grace i give to my child? why did no one have patience for me? why, when it's this easy?
it's so easy. it's so fucking easy.

seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything

It's hilarious that Wade was 100% ok with Logan being shirtless while they were alone but when they walked out and other people were staring too he was like "cover yourself up". Bro was jealous 😭😭😭😭

I saw one scruffy older Cora-san design and had to draw my take on it immediately, with a bonus Law to fill space.
You can say a lot of things about One Piece Odyssey, but it did give us a Law & Cora tag-team fight in which Law shambled to the location of Cora's bullets and that is just objectively cool.

Me: so the thing is that beginner's ballet classes are usually for ages 6-7, and the older you get the more expensive it is. by the time you reach high school usually the only people remaining are the ones who intend to go into ballet as a career. so in verse 2 of avril lavigne's sk8r boi, when you fast forward to 5 years later and the ballet girl is at home alone with a baby, implied to be a single parent, there's not only the intended subtext that she's a single mom who had an unexpected pregnancy where the dad skipped out on her, but also the implication that it ruined her career, since show business in general and ballet specifically is so fast paced that most ballerinas can't afford to take time off to have children without sacrificing their career growth. in fact post-quarantine there was a really interesting article about how many ballerinas used that time to have children that their otherwise demanding schedule wouldn't have allowed them--
You, hitting me with a broom: how the hell did you get in my house

actual intense analysis of the situation aside, I love that Steven has only ever professed to truly hate two people in the entire universe. One of them is the dictatorial leader of a society of colonizers who is quite literally the root of all of steven and his gem family's problems and also personally traumatized him by physically ripping a vital organ out of his body. The other is a teenager who harassed him and his friend at a party.
Guess which one he still talks to.

What cracks me up about Don't Be Afraid, Just Start the Tape is that aside from the vampirism, Daniel's just having such a typical cocaine experience.
He goes home with a guy because he has coke, then ends up listening to the guy rant and bitch about his ex until dawn, then witnesses an implosion between the guy and his current partner, then is forced to answer the question, "Am I boring?" from said partner while trying to figure out the best way to leave.
This is just a regular night on cocaine.
