Every other month the hashtag #TimDrakeAsleep trends in Gotham and people just post pictures they’ve taken of Tim falling asleep in public. And it’s not a competition.

But if it was a competition, Bruce would win.

He thinks this when he uses the hashtag on a picture he snapped of Damian covering Tim up with a blanket when he fell asleep on the couch. He thinks it again when he posts a picture of Dick carrying Tim to his room and again when he snaps a pic of Steph, Cass, and Duke seeing how many paper cups they can stack on top of Tim before he wakes up (57).

He knows he’s won when he posts a video to his socials of him walking through the manor turning out lights in empty rooms, all while muttering, “Bruce, let’s watch a scary movie. Bruce, c’mon, it’s not that scary. Bruce, we live in Gotham. Nothing can scare us.”

The video ends with him walking into his bedroom where all of his children are asleep in his bed. He wedges himself into the edge of the mattress they left for him and turns out the light. In the darkness, you hear, “Bruce, wanna hear how I’d survive the movie?”

Then a deep sigh, followed by, “…Yeah, Tim. Let’s hear it.”

I write humanized cars 2006 fanfiction and semi-frequently it goes viral on here or on tiktok and I'm flooded with normies and crazies who don't understand or who think humanized vehicle slash is weird (cowards), so I can imagine what you're dealing with. "Wally and Bruce's dynamic in the JLU cartoon only works because Barry isn't there to be a father figure to Wally" have you considered that in the comics that this cartoon was drawing from for inspiration Barry was dead? That he never got to see Wally leave Kid Flash and grow into the Flash mantle and become a member of the Justice League? And that this did kinda leave Bruce - someone on the League he was already more familiar with than he was with most others, someone who was close friends with his own mentor as well as being the mentor of one of his close friends - as a sort of intermediary mentor figure in the early years when he was adjusting to his role in the League?

Yeah their dynamic is somewhat different in those comics than in the show, but imo the shared history and relationships make them more interesting, and the lack of that in the show makes them less compelling.

Soooo.....I was scrolling the news feed at work today and saw something that, of course, made me think of you immediately.

How are we feeling about the concept of "Top Gun: the Semi Reality TV Show Based On Maverick's Wild Ass Thing From The Movie," according to the internet?

Can you believe they're doing a Top Gun 3? Top Gun: Maverick was all the "More Top Gun" that we didn't actually need.

I LOVE Top Gun. It's one of my absolute favorites. I think we all know that. It's not good! it's also bad. But I love it. I have never, ever, in my life, wanted a continuation of that story. It was absolutely pitch perfect as it is, and I know this sounds insane as a fanfic writer (i guess), but sometimes I wish people would realize you need to leave well enough alone. Sometimes a story is fine being done, or, if one must noodle, because noodling is fun, let's not make it part of the official canon.

But, no I do not want a semi-reality Top Gun show.

Strawberry squid migrate daily, staying in the depths during the day and roaming closer towards the surface at night! They evolved to have very different eyes, which are individually specialized to deal with the variations in light levels with this migration!

Scientists have observed small fish staying around the giant phantom jelly, probably an attempt for shelter! In the open ocean, some fish may find shelter with other bigger fish! I wonder if this is advantageous to the giant phantom jelly to lure in prey?
