Just saw a "you can't steal a jpg" in a pro-A1 art post and now I'm like...hmm. Am I insulted because I am a digital artist or do I see why people who only think physical things can be stolen think the way they do?

Listen, I get it. Anti-A1 arguments can be outlandish and go overboard, but are you telling me that if someone poured hours of hard work into a piece they don't get to have negative opinions on something/someone that takes it without even asking? Just because they did it on a graphic tablet instead of oils and a cloth canvas? I'm not even talking money here: do you think credit doesn't matter when it comes to art? I feel like that's one of the real questions here

Because like people in that thread said things like, "Ain't this just like fan art" and to be fair the A1 piece is based on well known horror creators. But what about artists that aren't known? Fan art is obvious of who is the original creator. Far too many A1 users/artists don't use their own art (and if they do I don't really have a problem with that tbh), they use other people's art without permission

I don't know where I'm going with this. I won't deny that A1 art has me worried at the very least (I worry and hate shite like N/F/ts more because of the environmental impacts of it). However, i can't deny that A1 art could be useful for people who have lost their ability to draw or even those who want an easier way to do it but I really do think it should be their OWN work that they do it with. Art is a communal thing, yes, but it's also a personal thing too? I get individualism has done a number on us (esp. here in the US) but I don't think that even if we shift away from that ideology we should have to share every fucking thing. And what is it called when you take something from someone, for whatever reason it may be, who does not want to share or wants to share but on their own terms?

I know artists can be pretentious and think they're above those who can't draw (i ain't i'm just some binch with a tablet, some pen and paper, and a silly degree that i prob didn't need) but idk if the answer is "well they're doing it for money so they don't matter and won't matter once -insert ideology here- happens". Just feels so flippant to your fellow (however annoying) human beings

Tldr: Yes, A1 is the latest new tool that has luddites (like me) in a tissy, but damn would some grace be nice on all sides here. If A1 art is being presented as a gift*, then the people that it is supposedly also for should be allowed to throw it away or put it in a basement.

*a gift that you'll probably have to pay for sooner or later i guess

Far below Cadmus, far far deeper than their tunnels of concrete and steel reach lay something ancient. Something sleeping. 

They were not the first to attempt to clone things of flesh and blood, but there is a reason that it was lost to time. A mistake so horrible it was struck from all of history, taken to graves and beyond in terror that even mentioning its name would awaken it. 

So perhaps they should have been far more careful, less candid with their own creations, spilling blood that sank deep in foundations, dripping down, down, down until it pooled within the stone below. Pain, confusion, anger, it all mixed into the yawning void, awakening the Thing below. 

It twitched and writhed, maws snapping at stone and eyes flashing towards things that both were and weren’t there. Limbs slithered and glitched into and out of time, body entering the realm of existence just as quickly as it disappeared with every gnashing step, if it could even be called as such. 

And They turned Their gazes above, where freedom, where revenge, where reality and sky and everything in between would lie, and It began to ascend.

You know how there's a whole thing about how DC superheroes die and get brought back a lot? Well, for DPxDC, how about this?

Every time a Justice League member gets resurrected, their ghost remains in the Ghost Zone.

So you'll have a member of the Justice League bite the bullet for whatever reason, they'll form as a ghost in the Ghost Zone. They'll make themselves comfortable, maybe they'll even becoming defenders of peaceful ghosts who have no experience fighting or no desire to fight. Maybe they'll find dead family members and re-establish their bonds. Maybe they'll find other dead members of the Justice League and make and undead branch of the Justice League. Maybe they'll meet Danny and either help teach him how to be a hero (if he's still young) or become a hero group supported by him (if he becomes the king).

And then, for whatever reason, someone found the magical amulet that can revive a person, they somehow developed 1-Ups for a limited time, the revival machine finally got a tune up, the hero gets revived. But the ghost doesn't leave the Ghost Zone. Because of this, the revived hero doesn't have any memories of their time in the afterlife. The ghost probably doesn't even notice something changed and that their old body is up and running again.

This all ends up coming to a head when the GIW decide to push the manhunt for Danny Phantom and all other ghosts, lying to the Justice League in order to convince them to help. They eventually decide to hunt down Danny and corner him, ready to capture him...

… And suddenly he's saved by a bunch of ghosts that look identical to them.

I feel like Martlet would want to go with Frisk out of the ruins. After the time she seperated from Clover she would not want that to happen with another human child.

i dont think there would be any circumstance where martlet could ever bring herself to let frisk go alone tbh. its either frisk stays in the ruins with her and toriel as long as they like or they go out into the underground together. by the end of uty's pacifist, martlet definitely has ZERO trust in the guards and asgore to just let a child walk out into a world ready to kill them on sight.

i mean, im pretty sure im not fooling anyone by doing the whole "will they wont they" about frisk leaving the ruins XD. it's really only a matter of time before they confront toriel about it, and martlet wouldnt hesitate to follow right after them. she's brought a human through the underground once, and she'd do it again no questions asked

currently i think this au takes place around 5 or 6 years after uty? so martlet definitely had time to think about her time with clover and definitely knows about what toriel does. she knows the game plan. either she helps keep the next human safe in the ruins or she keeps them safe out in the underground. still a royal guard, after all.
