We are all different in sizes, shapes, curves, and height. Body shapes were divided as – apple, rectangle, hourglass, pear and inverted triangle.
What dressing for your body shape does, is elongate your figure to make you look taller and more proportionate.
Knowing your body shape will help you figure out what works for YOU. It will help you find out what cuts and silhouettes work best for your body and how to work with them.
Right now, you spend a lot of time trying to imitate how clothes look on other people and their dimensions. What you should do is, adjust every outfit to YOU based on how YOU look.
If you want to improve your style, you can begin to follow styling recommendations for your body shape. Although it is only a suggestion on how to dress, it is important to dominate the basics before you break them.
Find your body shape and ask yourself some questions. How do YOU want to feel today? Comfortable? Chic? Sexy? What do you want your body to look like? What features do you want to accentuate? It is all possible with the right outfit. There are ways to achieve the look you want based on your body shape.

Want to dress better? First, take your measurements, second, find your body shape, and third, analyze your closet to mix and match outfits according to your body shape in a different way. It will level up your style closer to where you want to be.
It takes bravery to admit that you are not happy about your style and want to change. It is easier to keep doing the same thing than to try something new.
Most people will keep scrolling and do the same thing tomorrow. You can be different.

If you can relate to any of the descriptions below, you are probably making at least one of these 3 common fashion mistakes. Look at it as your fashion style diagnosis.
“Looking at your wardrobe makes you feel bored and stifled. You are never excited about what to wear and are always indecisive.
Your outfits don’t look particularly good or bad. They are just enough to get dressed and leave the house every morning but not enough to impress yourself. You feel that your clothes no longer reflect you.”
If you relate to one or more sentences, let me tell you that it is not supposed to be like that! A good closet will have pieces that serve and work for you and your lifestyle. It will make you happy every day and not just on special occasions.
Learn how to fix the three fashion mistakes that are ruining your sense of style. Click Below To Read Full Post On My Blog - https://www.theprincientist.com/3-common-fashion-mistakes-fashion-style-diagnosis/

Black Dress >>>>>>>> Melanated Version
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The perfect black dress for me:
Fit: skin-tight, or slightly loose from the bust, depending if I'm going for sexy or elegant.
Neckline: Halter neck or regular two straps. One shoulder is also acceptable. Straps must be thin.
Open back for sure, or lace-covered opening. The cups must be already inserted into the dress. I'm not worrying all night about my bra showing or moving.
Fabric: Satin, cotton mixture or velvet. Solid fabric. No see through.
Length: Slightly above the knees or all the way down to my calves. I'm not hiding my amazing shoes.
If you have a large waist try textured fabrics around the waist that are hugging without being too tight.
If you have broad shoulders try a strapless neckline and make sure the dress has a fuller skirt. Belt at the waist with a belt.

The Magic In Our Hair Is Its Versatility.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Black Hair Things:
Wigs were not invented by white people. Whenever a discussion about cultural appropriation arises the first thing said is that wigs on black women are also appropriation. Unlearn that. Wigs have long existed in Africa, and some have been found in tombs alongside our black queens in Ancient Egipt. Look it up.
Black hair grows at the same rate and speed as any other race. But our hair is sensitive and needs care, so you need to enforce a haircare routine so it won't break. If they tell you black hair does not grow, don't believe them.
"Good hair" is an invention. You decide what is good or bad simply by changing your mind on what good looks like. If it is hard to see the beauty in your hair simply change the content you consume. Follow black people on social media who wear their natural hair, see more black movies, and read about black hair history and hairstyle meanings.
Most self-hate issues can be helped (not fixed) by positive representation. You will first see, second love and third copy.

What is Skincare? Everything You Need To Know About What Practices Make Your Skin Healthier.
Tumblr media
Let's continue the talk about skincare.
You can read my first post about what is skin. It educates about the science behind the skin and explains why you should not ignore the facts and move directly into creating skincare routines and blindly following advice on the internet.
Know Your Skin Before Getting a Skincare Routine - What Is Skin?
Today's post explains to you what is skincare and what practices make your skin healthy. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞? - Read the full post on my blog - https://www.theprincientist.com/what-is-skincare/
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞?
Skincare is the care and keeping of the largest organ in your body — your skin! The etymological definition – Skin + Care stands for “caring for your skin”.
The word skincare is everywhere. Influencers, celebrities and pharmaceutical companies are selling and advertising face creams or offering magical solutions and DIYs to look younger and flawless daily.
With all this heavy marketing skincare sure sounds like it’s just some type of cosmetic product. And not a cheap one either! But that’s not all there is to it.
Skincare means you care for your skin, but with what objective?
Most research and marketing focus on the unwelcome esthetic aspects of ageing and uneven skin, but skin deterioration is more than a merely cosmetic problem. It is a health problem.
Skincare involves more than cosmetics and includes a variety of practices that support skin integrity, enhance its appearance and relieve skin conditions.
(I explain in detail in my post. Read here - https://www.theprincientist.com/what-is-skincare/ )
Although more popular now, skincare practices are nothing new, existing since Ancient Egypt. Currently, skincare doesn’t have to be complicated if you don’t want it to be. Simply follow the three basic steps of a skin-care routine recommended by dermatologists: Cleansing, Moisturizing, and Protection.
(I explain in detail in my post. Read here - https://www.theprincientist.com/what-is-skincare/ )
Your mentality about skincare must shift focus from esthetic concerns to how the loss of structure and function affects the quality of life and make you unhealthy.
The best skin is healthy skin. Don’t blindly chase smooth skin that can damage your health. Unlearn that!
Empower yourself. Know exactly what you are putting in your face and avoid dangerous practices that are sold as miracle cures. Research is the first step toward having more conscient/responsible skincare practices.
I advise you to read the full post on my blog NOW and learn more about what skincare really means and make better decisions about your skincare practices,
+ You can get access to 3 other posts that will help you start an effective skincare routine today.

Know Your Skin Before Getting a Skincare Routine - What Is Skin?
Tumblr media
Let's talk skincare. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧? - Read the full post on my blog - https://www.theprincientist.com/what-is-skin/
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧?
What do you know about your skin? Many people skip the science behind the skin and move directly into creating skincare routines, but it is a mistake to ignore the facts and blindly follow advice on the internet.
To get the skin you always dreamed of, you have to get acquainted with the skin you’re in. That means knowing what your skin is doing for you and how.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧? 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 is the outer covering of the body. It is the largest organ you have. Dark skin is defined as skin that contains high amounts of melanin pigments.
The skin is composed of 3 layers. They are the Epidermis, the Dermis and the Hypodermis, each with its specific functions.
The epidermis is the skin you can see and it acts as a physical and biological barrier to the external environment. Your dermis is where your collagen is stored. Your hypodermis has an important role in keeping your skin firm and without wrinkles.
(I explain the functions of each layer in detail in my post. Read here - https://www.theprincientist.com/what-is-skin/ )
The different layers of your skin affect your appearance in different ways. You have to understand your skin to identify and prevent skin or hair problems if they arise. And to fight myths about dark skin that spread in your community.
Being the largest organ in your body, your skin requires care. I advise you to understand what is skin, as well as its structure and function. It will allow you to start a skincare routine that is unique to your skin and works.
Luckily I have a new post on my blog to help you with it. Read the full post on my blog and get access to 3 other posts that will help you start an effective skincare routine today. - Read here: https://www.theprincientist.com/what-is-skin/

Being well-dressed is not something that happens by accident. It is practice and taste.
Most people have a bad sense of style not because they lack information, but because they don't apply it.

It of course affects your self-esteem and confidence.
You will genuinely believe that many items don't look good on you because there is something wrong with you and not the clothes.

You don't take fashion risks. You are afraid to look bad, but taking fashion risks is actually very easy and not intimidating at all.
