Carolyn Brown's The Perfect Dress was a fun read. It addressed the issues of clothing for bigger size women. The shop owners make one-of-a-kind hand-made wedding and bridesmaid dresses for these "plus-size" girls. The three main characters have more than a little sass and two of them even have plus size bodies themselves. The plot is funny at times with the sass, small-town gossip and everyone minding everyone else's business and not afraid to put their two cents worth in. But at times it is stressful, down-right depressing and hurtful. The Perfect Dress owners must deal with the loss of their no account boyfriends and deal with the consequences. The Perfect Dress deals with issues many single business women face today. Enjoyed this book. Carolyn Brown writes good contemporary fiction. Would recommend to those who enjoy chick-lit, romance, and romantic comedies.
